Chapter 3: Cave exploration and Rescuing

Three days later

It's been three days from the night of his promise, three days where things take a new turn for togepi. After waking up the following day, he felt restored, having a good night thanks to his bed and the fire preventing him to be cold.

First, he looked after his plant, noticing the sprout becoming a little bigger. Second, he took this apple and had a breakfast so he could fetch foods with all his energy. Third, he remembered his promise to be stronger so he created a training course. He ran around the clearing to raise his speed and his stamina, and he punched trees to raise his strength and he trained his moves so he could master them. After he went searching foods in the forest. It was his new routine.

During those three days, he learned some useful things. Like, he heals faster if his stomach is full. Or being careful when training, not being able to use his glowing hand move during one of his travels through the forest. But at the same time, he learned that the glowing spike move is quite effective against Spinarak and Pumpkaboo. He remembered that Zubat's biting move didn't hurt so much. So, he hypothesized that moves are effective against some pokemon while not really being effective against other. He learned that apple was the food he needs to get, filling his stomach. Berries can fill a little too but thanks to the blue berry, he realized that berries are useful for other things. He knows that blue berries heal you when you eat them but he still doesn't know about the red and pink one. But he still had one red and one pink planted in case. It could still be used for breakfast if he has enough about them. He didn't try to eat the seeds he finds, not wanting to sleep in the forest or exploding. But he stocked them in case, thinking first it could be useful for his food's hunts but realizing that with fire, he can now explore more the depth of his home, he will use them during this exploration.

Talking about it, today is the day he will go. But he begins with his routine, his labors have been rewarded. Indeed, he has now blue berries, and it will not be too long before he gets red and pink berries. He takes his blue berries and puts them next his other items which are his money, three hundred in total, an apple, a pink seed, a flame seed and a pebble. It isn't a lot because he can carry only two items with him when exiting the forest, and it is only when exiting because during his travel he can carry only one item, impossible to defend himself against wild pokemon when he has two. It is quite frustrating for our hero. Well, it's better than nothing for him.

He does his training before eating his apple for breakfast. He searches for a branch to use it as a torch. It takes ten minutes to have the perfect one, not too heavy but not too thin. Burning one end, he treks in the depth of his home.

He advances without problem, noticing it is just long straight corridor. It takes him at least fifteen minutes before seeing something new. He reaches a stone archway, meaning the entrance of something else.

Will this next section be something like the forest? the fairy thought. He perceives the stone statue on the right of the archway. Now that he has clear mind not like the first time, he notices the statue's feature. It looks like some sort of kangaroo.

Is it a pokemon? the egg pokemon thought. Seeing the strange black pyramidal, not able to identify the material, on the statue's head, he hopes that it can be light up with his torch. Touching the pyramidal with his fire, he waits for ten seconds before the object begins to glow red with a little flame sprouting on top of it.

Neat. He grins. Now that the entrance is visible, he turns back to prepare his exploration. It takes him twenty minutes to be ready, reasoning if he should take a blue berry or a seed. On one hand, the berry will heal him if he takes too much damages, not knowing if the pokemon inside are stronger and putting him through hell. On the other hand, with one seed, he will have a trump card if he will be in a tight situation. But he decides to take a blue berry, concluding that endurance is key for this exploration and that he already has a trump card. Yes, he knows that the more he fights, the more he will become stronger. But he didn't know that he can learn new moves. It happened when he was against a spinarak, he hates them with their strings. If he was been hit with it, he would be sure to be in a world of pain. And yet, with all experiences he gains from his fights, the feeling of getting new knowledges came, instincts flare making his body moves. He blew a kiss, a heart shooting toward his foe not expecting it. The result was unforgettable, the spider began to wobble like it was drunk with spirals in his eyes. It tried to attack him with purple spikes but didn't shoot in the right direction. Well, it was an easy win after that.

It's useful but creepy. He shudders. Who would think that blowing a kiss can be a move? After this event, he decided to observe his energies to discern if something changes. Well, more like add than change because with the grey and cyan powers, there is a light pink one. He deduced that it is linked to his new move and hypothesizing that he will get more. And he was right for the reason that a blue dot appeared next the others. He guesses that he will access a new move, and he just needs to fight a little more.

Being one more time before the archway, taking a deep breath before progressing inside with his berry.

And he was right to be cautious due to in a room almost like the ones in the forest. The walls are made with black rocks that absorb light and the joys around leaving a depressing aura, sending shiver in our fairy's back. He can still correctly see the entirety of the room but not beyond it.

Are there more surprises for me to discover? he thought, scratching his head. Not wanting to pondering more on it, he begins his journey. The first thing he notices is the corridors are dangerous, seeing only one meter in front and behind him. He can't even see the room's inside anymore, putting him on guard, not wanting to be ambush. The good thing is there is items like the forest, he found an apple that he ate, not wanting to trade with his berry and a purple berry with a pointy end. When he ate it, he became vitalized like he can't sleep anymore. Continuing his journey, he finds his first opponent.

It is orange fox with a white belly, black paws and ears and around his eyes, and a strange tail looking like a bag where the end is black too and it is dragged on the ground.

Nickit? was again his first thought. Not being deter, having past experiences, he observes his foe charging at him with a white trail becoming faster and faster. Surprise by the speed, the spike ball pokemon has not enough time to dodge, taking the hit and being send on the ground. It hurts, but he manages the pain, rolling on his right just in time to dodge a dark purple glowing paw. He quickly stands up before sidestepping a white trail move and counter it with a normal left punch, stunning enough the fox, following with a right glowing hand sending the fox on the ground. Still able to fight, the fox stands up before it snarls, sending black soundwave toward the egg pokemon. Pain enters in all his body, but like the zubat's biting move, it doesn't hurt much. Not wanting to deal more with it, he sidesteps on his left before using his kiss move. Seeing his foe wobbling thanks to his move, the spike ball pokemon charges before nickit is hit with a glowing spike, knocks it out with a big bruise on its left side.

Togepi has learned to control his move's strength, so it will not gravely injure or kill his opponent. Even if they are wild, he doesn't want to be a killer. He learned that in the forest, time goes faster, always finishing his travel before night even if he didn't know that it was night. He healed faster but he became hungrier faster too. Well, he can't always have nice things, can he?

Moving between rooms, he noticed that the floor was bigger than the floors in the forest, hypothesizing that the cave has more floors too. But increase in difficulty means more reward, right? Well, it would be cool if you know how they work. But like they say, you need to fail to learn. Togepi found a brown bottle with a green cap and two green arrows pointing up on the side of the bottle. He opened it before sniffed it before drinking it. He felt the energies he lost in his last battle recovering, making it in his mind a must have resources like the blue berries. He learned that his energy only recovered when he slept, making his moves a limited resource.

And I just wasted it. His shoulder dropped. It's alright, he found another item, a pink orb with a cloud in it. He inspects every part of the orb, shaking it to get a reaction.

Nothing.

But if he sees closely, there is a faint glowing, like it has energies like his move. Wanting to try something, he focuses on his energies, wanting to flow it some inside the orb. The moment it touches the orb, the faint glow become a bright light before a huge pink fog, not unlike pink seed's one, appears around the egg pokemon covering all the room he was in. After two seconds, the fog disappears with the orb breaking in light particle. Seeing the fog is like the pink seed's cloud, he concludes that they have the same effect with the orb covering a whole room instead of one enemy. He slumps on the ground.

If only I know about it. He thought with rain cloud above his head. Still crying will resolve nothing, so he stands up and moves again. And well, he has his moves and his blue berry, he should be okay, right? He finds the stairs but there is pokemon next to it. It is a larva with a white body with three nubs on either side resembling simple legs and yellow dots on it. Its head is dominated by two large, yellow mandibles with reddish-orange tips. The rest of its head is brown and has a reddish-orange structure with a yellow rim on top. It has large, black eyes with white pupils.

Grubbin? He thought. Seriously, where do their thoughts come from? The larva spots our hero, shooting strings to him. He sidesteps, and a thought comes to him. Spinarak was shooting strings too and the fairy's glowing spike was very effective against the spider. So, maybe it could be too against the larva. Wanting to tries it and seeing his chance when the larva charges him with a normal attack, he avoids at the right time before sending a left punch on its head, stunning it a little, following with a right uppercut, enough for raising it and showing its belly before finishing with a glowing spike on its belly, sending it in the air before gravity come making more damage to the larva. Glad that it works, the spike ball pokemon takes the stairs, noticing that they go down this time and losing the sleepless state.

Togepi knew that the forest he was exploring was bizarre, with it changing every day, making his travels always different because of the random rooms and random items on the ground. Thanks to that, the difficulty to find foods was always random. It was troublesome, and he didn't know how they can be even more, feeling there is more to those places. Simple, by throwing him a curving ball, you know. When you step on something that you absolutely don't want to, noticing that it releases an aromatic sense in the air attracting pokemon. That's why we see our hero running right now.

I so wish I have the orb right now! He thoughts with fear, fleeing his three pursuers. The first on was a nickit. The second one was a purple bat with dark fur on its chest and hips, its arms are wings with two claws, it has yellow eyes and two big ears on top of his head. The last one is simple a rock with eyes and arm. His blurry memory tells him that they are Noibat and Geodude.

An idea comes in his mind when the fairy sees he will enter another corridor. The thing about corridors is two pokemon cannot be next each other, meaning pokemons must travel in single file, meaning if one stop, it blocks the other behind it. With this knowledge, he waits that the first one, being nickit, enters before using his blowing kiss move on the fox. Now that the fox wobbles and blocks the passage, the egg pokemon moves quickly toward the next room, leaving the other pokemon alone. With this event behind, he carries on his exploration. He learned that observation was key when exploring those places, and he shouldn't be naïve. Because when you see a pile of items lying on the ground, it didn't mean the place is being kind. Oh no, on the contrary, they aren't kind at all. It just means there is a trap next to it, an explosive trap in this case.

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! our hero screams. In addition to being cover in burn, the items pile was destroyed. Well, for some reason the explosion didn't knock him out. He didn't feel like he is going to faint, not being urged to eat his berry. Those burns will heal after some time.

Note to self: absolute cautious in those places. He thought, resolve to be more observant now. Arriving to the stairs room, he looks around to make sure there is no hidden danger. He only detects a platform that, if he looks closely, has a green ring with a circle of the same color in it. Not wanting to steps on it, he walks toward before stopping in front of it.

Now that I think about it, the traps so far were hidden, he thoughts. So maybe it's not really a trap. Looking at the platform, he paces toward it before stopping. He takes a deep breath before stepping on it. The effect is immediate, a mist covers the egg pokemon, feeling all around his body becoming cleaner like all auras sticking to him dissipate. Doing nothing else, now knowing it doesn't harm, the fairy walks again toward the stairs, diving more and more in the depth of the cave.

Togepi was right thinking that endurance is key, the place being bigger and longer and having a lot more of wild pokemon took a toll on him. His energies diminishing with all the fighting he did, promising himself to train more his normal attack. He lost his berries in on those battle, being unluck to fight several foes at the time. The good thing is he learned two moves, one being links to his new blue energy, making healing water appears around him, healing him and maybe people he wants too. The second one making him get puppy dog eyes, acting like his growl attack but his foe became even more strengthless than when he used the growl. The downside of it is it affects only one foe compare to the growl affecting all foes inside the room. Hunger begins to appear too, only finding some berries for his stomach but no apple. He found a seed with a leaf exiting it, and he tried to throw it on one opponent but it had done nothing. Not wanting to eat it not knowing its effect, he kept it for now. It only was during the fourth-floor that his situation eased off. Having found less foes on this floor and even then, he found a pink orb with a white slit portal in it that when used, teleported all foes in the room somewhere else. Well, he thinks that they teleported, seeing that they disappeared in light particles. But he didn't leave his seed, just putting down for a moment before coming for it. He finally found an apple too, appeasing his hunger.

Now he was on the fifth floor, and he noticed that it's like the fourth floor, having less foes on it. He even found another brown bottle, replenishing his energies. He feels like he will exit the cave soon and there is no more danger, well less danger in this dark cave. But this feeling is squashed the moment instincts flare, feeling danger above him. Looking up, he sees glowing red eyes staring at him. Having just enough time to dodge, he jumps and rolls forward before being crushed by what just felt from the ceiling. Turning toward it, the spike ball pokemon notices that it is geodude, but there is something strange with it. Instead of the grey body, its body is back like the black stone of the wall, its eyes are glowing red and it has two spikes on its back, a black aura like the void surround it. Instincts flare again, sidestepping and feeling a black punch grazing his cheeks.

Fast! Was the fairy only thought, because the fairy is blown back from the impact of the fist. Turning quickly toward its prey, the black rock pokemon smashes a fist on the ground, sending powerful waves in the ground and the ground shaking. Not knowing how to dodge the attack, the fairy takes the hit falling on the ground. Instincts flare, making the egg pokemon rolls to his right, just in time to avoid the geodude's wheeling attack. The fairy blows a kiss but the black pokemon sidesteps before coming with another punch. The fairy decides to let his instincts guide him, making him jumps over his opponent before growling, noticing his foe's muscle relaxing a little. Not letting the rock pokemon its chance, when landing on ground, the spike ball pokemon sends a quick glowing punch toward his foe, making it cross its arm before it was blown away but not much. Seeing the little damage on his assailant's arm, he grinds his teeth knowing it's nothing compare to what can do his enemy. And the pain in his hand sends some panic in his mind.

Its body is hard! He thought in pain. The rock pokemon uses another rolling attack and instead of avoiding, the fairy sends a heart knowing the rock pokemon won't be able to dodge it. His gamble works, the wild pokemon stops and wobbles around. Not letting his chance goes away, the fairy charges before using the same combo against the first grubbin, sending his foe in the air but not finished, the fairy jumps sending another glowing spike, hitting the bottom part before shooting a glowing hand on its head. The power coupled with gravity sends the black pokemon toward the ground at great speed, impacting with great strength and leaving a dust cloud. Landing hard on his feet, feeling some pain in it, togepi stares toward the dust cloud not knowing if it's down.

Did I get it? He thoughts with hopes. But hope was crushed, the geodude appears before him, bracing a punch covered in dark powers. The egg pokemon tries to blow a kiss to stop but he was too late. Time stops, the punch impacts his body sending immense pain, spits flew from his mouth before time continues. The fairy is sent to the wall behind him at high speed, leaving a big indentation at the impact. He can't move his body; his pain is too much and his body is stuck in the wall, the egg shell and bones breaking under the pressure of the impact. Seeing its victim not moving, the rock pokemon summons sharp back stone to finish our hero. The stones are sent, impacting the egg pokemon. After the attack finished, togepi falls on the ground, having faint from the attack, eyes rolling in the back of his head. Seeing this, the black pokemon strolls toward its prey ready to kill the egg one. But there is hope, our hero's seed began to light up, alerting the rock pokemon and putting its guard up, the seed becomes a light ball that enters the fairy body, healing all his wounds. Togepi wakes up, shocked about this development, not feeling pain anymore and he is refreshed too. But the fight isn't over, thanks to his instinct, he manages to dodge an enraged geodude's black punch. The punch impacts the wall and gets stuck in it, making the rock pokemon tries to free its hand. It gives him some time to think a plan, backpedaling to put distance.

What do I do? He thought, shock still here. I can't run away; it will catch me up. But it is too strong. And those attacks... His surrounding begins to fade out before realizing, He didn't just try to beat me but it tries to kill me. With this realization, he doesn't feel his surrounding anymore, doesn't hear the rock pokemon struggling to free his hand.

Did it kill before? The thought came a split-second after the realization. After two seconds, a last thought came.

I can't let it win. Was his last thought. Something in him awakes, coming from the heart, giving him strength. Determination enters the fairy, his eyes hardening, a white aura covering his body. Returning to reality. He sees the geodude manages to free his hand before turning toward togepi. Becoming even more enraged, the dark aura wilder, it summons sharp stones to empale its prey. Yet the fairy is not deterred, rushing toward his foe, moving between the stones with speed greater than before. Shocked by what its prey has done, it takes a hit on his head. Not letting his foe with a chance to attack, the fairy has his two-hand glowing, sending a barrage of punches. The geodude takes hit after hit, having more and more bruises but its great endurance helps it enough so it can send the egg one away with a revert punch. Not wanting its prey doing that again, it smashes his fist on the ground, creating tremors. Seeing this, the fairy throws his guard up, enduring the attack, using at the same time his healing water to reduce to null the wound. The rock appears before sending a right punch, but he manages to deflect it his left glowing hand before countering a glowing punch. But the dark pokemon block before countering with another punch that is dodged. The exchange continues, with blocking, dodging, countering, making the fighter more and more tired. The fairy is feeling his hand becoming numb, due to punching his foe's hard body even if he feels stronger for some reason. His breath is becoming heavier with every second of this fight.

I can do it! He thought with determination. Yes, he's not the only one panting hard. His foe is covered in bruise from all the punches he got and the one he blocked. And it just makes a mistake. Extending too much its punch, the rock pokemon's defense is down, leaving a chance to togepi to hit with a glowing spike. The dark pokemon is sent away, hitting the ground. Having enough of it, the geodude convert an enormous amount of dark power around his fist, having a pure darkness sphere covering his fist. Seeing this, the fairy decides to do the same. He puts every bit of energies in his next attack. But he is unaware that instead of using his grey one, he uses his light pink one. The result is bright pink sphere of purity covering his hand. The two fighters rush toward each other; geodude sends his punch. Time slows down, the rock's punch approaching the egg's face but the fairy manages to sidestep before facing the unguard side of his foe. Time comes to normal, togepi throws his attack with a determined yell. The attack hits dead center, breaking some bit of the dark pokemon's body. A split-second later, the pokemon is blown toward the wall at high speed, making an indentation in the wall at the impact, breaking more the rock pokemon's body with blood beginning to flow down. Geodude fall to the ground unconscious.

Seeing his opponent defeated, all adrenaline leaves his body, making him fall on the ground and panting even harder. He has done it, and he has survived. It takes him at least six minutes to recover before he can stand up. He uses his healing water too in case in need to fight more. But it will be not necessary because in the next room is the stairs.

Cheerless Cave Depth

Arriving in the depth of the cave, the fairy finds himself in a dead end. The walls are covered with the same black stone but with crystals with dark vortexes in it. Not wanting to approaching them, feeling there are the sources of the atmosphere, he looks around before discovering a body. Strolling toward it, he identifies it as a corpse. His eyes becoming wide with his breath lost. But sadness comes after, knowing that it was a victim from this dark pokemon. He notices the little bag next to the corpse and a letter with it. Taking the letter, he sees it was written in strange symbols, but for some reason he can understand them. It says:

Dear Reader

If you read this, then I'm afraid that I'm already dead. You see, I was a simple pokemon, dreaming of exploring and finding treasure. But Mystery Dungeons are more dangerous than I thought, I was naive.

Mystery Dungeons? He tilts his head to the side. Is it how they call those places? He continues to read.

But it didn't stop me from following my dream, not after finding my first treasure even if I found it randomly on the ground, it was my treasure. It is a mask with the top finishing in three tips. It has one notch on each tip. It appeared completely banal, but I always had a feeling that it hid a great mystery. That why I was motivating to explore around. But I cannot do it anymore, that's why I have a request for you: take my bag and solve this mystery. I'm sure this can help the world. My bag is not big like the explorers one but it can contain ten items.

Explorers? He thought with end is unreadable, seeming to fade with time, erasing maybe the name of the writer. Reading twice to be sure to not miss anything, he inspects the bag's inside, finding indeed the mask with a scarf next to it. The mask matches the description, and its color is grey while the scarf is soft and simple in design being white in color. Deciding to grant the dead its last wish, he puts the bag around his shoulder noticing it is indeed small. But a small bag is better than nothing for our hero. He notices that the scarf and the mask take space inside the bag, so he decides to wear them therefore the bag is empty. Tying first the scarf around his neck, the fairy is forced to close his eyes not wanting to become blind from the light emits. After the light diminishes, he opens his eyes only to be surprised by the change of the scarf. From the dull white, it changes to shining white, with a light pink and light blue flower on one end. Shrugging, the egg pokemon puts the mask on his face, not noting the change of the mask. Like the scarf, it changes from grey to shining white with blue and pink light reflection. Not wanting to stay longer in this room, he bows toward the corpse before exiting the room, leaving the dungeon.

Togepi successfully completed Cheerless Cave!

Finding himself before the stone archway, he strolls toward his home. Reaching it, he first inspects his plants noticing the red and pink berries. Taking them and putting them next to his other items, he discerns that his shelf begins to become full. So, he decides to put some items in the bag: two blue berries, one pink berry, one red berry, the flame seed, the pink seed, the pebble and his money leaving space for two other items. After that he puts down his bag next to his bed before falling on his bed with sleep coming quickly.

~PMD:HoL~

Time skip: Dawn

"HEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP!" A scream wakes togepi up. Rubbing his eyes to remove the sleep, he looks around in confusion.

What was that? He thought with some tiredness left.

"SOMEBODY, HELP ME!" He can hear another scream.

It came from the forest, he thought before realization hit him. Somebody is in danger! Finally, being able to meet someone, he rushes toward the forest with the goal of saving this person. He only takes a few steps before stopping and running toward his bag, taking it and continuing to rush toward the mystery dungeon.

Plum Gloom Forest

Togepi didn't know if he had time therefore, he rushed through the floors not paying attention to the items on the ground, punching away the pokemons that obstructed his path. Now, the wild pokemon are easy to deal compare to what he has endured during his cave exploration. Arriving on the second floor, he continues to run, looking around wildly to find the lost person. He locates them in the second room, crawling away from a zubat. The bat pokemon didn't the fairy running toward it, taking a hit on the head, before fainting. Surprise by this development, he didn't know he became this strong or maybe it is because he hit the head. Now that the egg pokemon looks closer, the pokemon, he saves, looks like a yellow caterpillar with two teeth, six oranges spherical feet and covered in leaf.

A Sewaddle? He thought, not surprise by those thoughts anymore. He walks slowly before noticing the leaf covered pokemon flinching and shaking.

"P-P-Please don't hurt me!" sewaddle says with fear, he discerns the pokemon as a child and a boy.

"Don't worry," the fairy says gently, not wanting to scare more the child. "I'm here to help."

"R-Really?" says the sewing pokemon, turning shyly toward our hero.

"Yes," says the fairy, using his healing water to be sure that his new protégé "let's get you out of here." After some time, the insect/plant pokemon nods slowly. "Okay, stay near me. The stairs are next room and then we will only have one floor to go through," says the spike ball pokemon reassuring.

"O-Okay," says the caterpillar shyly. They go to the next room with sewaddle sticking to our hero, taking the stairs to go to the next floor.

Plum Gloom Forest

3F

This a new experience for our hero to protect someone, before he was alone being careful so danger didn't fall on him. But now he must protect someone from danger too. He found to be a difficult task. He can't dodge, or the child will get hit and he always must reposition himself to be between his protégé and the danger. When finding items, he looked around to see if there is no danger before picking it. The walk was slower too, making sure the child was still with him. A pumpkaboo appears on his right, charging toward him. Putting the sewing pokemon behind him, the fairy blows a kiss to stop. While the pumpkin pokemon is wobbling, the fairy hit it with a glowing spike, knowing using a very effective move will end quicker the battle and he will not need to worry about danger coming from behind at the same time. Sewaddle is staring at him with awe.

"Wow, you so strong mister!" says the sewing pokemon with stars in his eyes. "Are you an explorer?" Togepi feels embarrassed from the stare.

"Well..." he begins," I'm not sure I can be called an explorer, I only explore two...mystery dungeons," he says with scratching behind his head. "And I'm strong because I trained a lot." he sweatdrops seeing more stars in his protégé's eyes. He says, "Let's go, the stairs are next room."

"Okay!" was his reply. And like Togepi says, they find the stairs next room, taking to leave the dungeon.

Togepi successfully completed Plum Gloom Forest!

The pairs come out of the forest, appearing before its entrance before noticing another pokemon.

"MOM!" yelled the child before toward her.

"Sewaddle!" yells the mother, running toward her child, hugging him while he begins to cry.

"I was so scared!" he says while sobbing.

"Please, don't this again my baby, I was scared too." says the mother, hugging tighter.

"I'm sorry," says the child ashamed. Now that the fairy looks closer, he notices she has a broad, split leaf around her large, round head and she has long antennae that end in semicircles. Her eyes are red with no apparent sclerae. Her tiny thorax is dark green, and her long abdomen is yellow and covered in a green leaf. Her hands are long and leaf-like with a "bite" taken out of each. Her upper arms are also leaf-like, but with a vein of yellow at the top. Her thin legs are yellow with dark green, thick segments around Her upper legs, making them appear armored. He comes back to reality when he hears Sewaddle, "Mom, he is the mister that save me!" Hearing her child, she bows toward our hero, feeling a little ashamed.

"Thank you, thank you so much for saving my child mister..." After two seconds, he realizes that she wants his name. But he thinks about, he can't remember it. Trying to search it, a thought came to him.

"...Lucius..." was his reply.

"Thank you, mister Lucius, I'm Leavanny and I need to reward you for saving my child," she says gratefully.

"You don't need to reward me," he says, moving his hand in a placating way. "I was happy to help."

"Of course, I need!" she insists, "I'm in your debt, tell me what you want and I will give it."

"Well...then," he begins hesitantly, "do you know where I can find a town?" She is surprised by his question.

"Do you want to find somewhere to stay?" she asks. He winces, hearing that she finds his situation so quickly.

"Yes, you see," he replies embarrassed by the fact, "I don't really have a home, I was living in the cave behind the forest, having nowhere to go." She is shocked by the fact before she puts a motherly face with her together.

"Then, how about you follow me?" she asks. "I know somewhere you can stay." Thinking about the proposition, he nods at her. Leavanny smiles beautifully before she made a sign to follow her. The trio now hikes on a path togepi doesn't know and he doesn't know that he takes the next steps to become one legend.

~PMD:HoL~

AN: Phew, what a long chapter. Like I said, I introduce some new elements like the dark pokemon. I will not say more, don't want to spoil :).

For Togepi moves, I don't like when pokemon has just four moves. So, I remove the limit. There are:

-Pound

-Growl

-Peck

-Sweet kiss

-Life dew

-Charm

Like I said, he is not OP, he only survived so far thanks to his strength and his instincts. He can still be KO in one move, like with the dark geodude. It is all so far.

See you next time~
