A/N: So…. For last Gruvia week I had a story planned where they have a girl but I never published it because day 4 got too long and well it was never posted. However… I want this to be a follow up to that story so…. This will be a weird sequel to a story I never published. I promise to get that one up someday just not today. Anyways here we go.

Day 7: Greige

Livia lived up to her name in every way. Her name meaning blue and envious was evident as she was every bit a duplicate of her mother. By age two they could see that her blue hair was forming into loose ringlets matching her mother in shade and curl.

Envious became apparent as she allowed no displays of affection whatsoever. This wasn't reserved to just her parents as Natsu got hit on the leg when Lucy leaned on his when there was no room for her to sit at the bar. Yes, Natsu got hit for something Lucy did.

So, of course, they found this behavior a cause of worry when they Juvia and Gray discovered that they were expecting their second child. Livia didn't even like when any of her parents held the twins so they couldn't imagine what she would do when she saw a newborn sibling reliant on their parents. They tried their best to make the two-year-old understand that another baby was coming but it's hard to determine how much a toddler can comprehend in these situations. So when the day came there was a fear of sibling rivalry coming to play, especially with Livia's past violence when acting in jealousy.

Lucy was panicking. She honestly didn't know why she was the one who ended up having to babysit the child when she was clearly more attached to other guildmembers. They probably didn't want to overwhelm Levy and Gajeel since they had two already and adding a third toddler for the weekend would probably destroy their house, but Livia liked the twins. True Livia wasn't a complete monster and did eventually settle down and play on her own, but there were moments of fussiness that Lucy had no idea how to handle. And this was one of those moments.

Livia had napped for about two hours and somehow that wasn't enough time as she started crying upset that her sleep was interrupted. Lucy was doing everything she could to get her back to sleep but it really wasn't working.

She didn't even hear Juvia and Gray walk in but was grateful when Gray took over trying to calm the toddler. It wasn't really relief when it became evident that the toddler was not going to stop her behavior, but Lucy was slightly more relaxed that she was not to blame.

A fussy two-year-old who just woke up from a nap is not the most coherent creature. Livia directed Gray all around Lucy's apartment with a want of some unknown item that could never be attained. All the while Juvia stood patiently holding the bundled-up newborn waiting for the toddler to notice the new addition to the family.

The cookie wasn't enough, for some reason she wanted Lucy's hat, and eventually Gray just sat her down on the bed to see if playing would be enough to calm her down but things weren't exactly going to plan. Usually, she was very eager to greet both her parents, but this time it seemed like the grumpy tiredness compounded by not seeing her parents for a few days made things ripe for fits.

Finally, having realized that this was going nowhere Gray chose to direct attention to the baby in her mother's arms, "Livia, sweetie, you're going to wake up your brother."

It's hard to say how much of that she truly understood or if she simply followed the direction that Gray was pointing to, but upon setting eyes on what must have been a bundled-up baby, Livia's demeaner completely changed as she gasped in joy and scrambled to get out of her father's arms to run over and get her own view of the newborn.

The amount of awe in her eyes as she recognized the baby in the bundle. She motioned her mother to sit and join her father on the couch, uniting the family in a way no one really expected.

"Livia, sweetie, do you know this is you brother?" Juvia asked her.

She just looked back at her mother her eyes still full of awe.

"This is Greige, sweetie," Gray told her. "Can you say hi to Greige?"

"Hi greejuuu," the garbled baby talk came out before she leaned over to give her baby brother a kiss on the head.

They were worried for nothing and Livia did more than prove that upon first setting eyes on that bundle of blankets.

While preparing to leave Gray held Livia who was still staring adoringly at Greige.

"Lucy, can you hold him while Juvia uses the bathroom?" Juvia asked seeing that Gray had his arms full with everything including their daughter.

"Of course!" Lucy motioned and rushed over to grab the sleeping newborn.

As soon as Lucy grabbed the baby Livia started throwing an unbelievable and unexpected fit as she scrambled to get out of her father's very full arms. She started yelling babbles at Lucy and pointing to Juvia clearly mad that Lucy had the audacity to hold her brother.

"I guess I can't hold him then…" Lucy answered handing the baby to Gray who had dropped all the bags trying not to drop Livia.

Livia stopped crying and gave Lucy an angry look.

Still envious as ever, just not in the way they expected, everyone would have to look out as Livia was clearly going to be a protective big sister.

A/N: So the real reason I decided to jump ahead and publish this story before I got the first part out is because… no joke on April 1st my nephew was born! On April 2nd when my niece's parents came to pick her up with her brother she was exactly like this. Fussy until she laid eyes on his car seat. She also threw a fit over my mom holding him. Hope you all enjoyed. I'm super busy so I don't know when I'll get last years ever updated.
