Author's Notes: Hello everyone! As you can imagine we're both happy to present the newest chapter to you. Like the previous chapter, this is a big one, very important for a number of reasons. While the previous chapter was the start of the plot and main story, THIS chapter will introduce all but two or three of the characters you'll be seeing for the rest of the story. That's right, this chapter might as well be called 'Unbreakable Red Silken Tread Roll Call' so we hope you find it to be worth the wait and will enjoy our assembled cast.

Secondly, major super props to CMR Rosa, without whom this story wouldn't have gained as much attention as it has. Thank you again for commissioning the lovely and wonderful fan art you have so that readers can see with their literal eyes and not just their mind's eyes what our takes on these characters look like. While both Kenju and myself are SO grateful for all of the pieces that you have commissioned, I think we both like that wonderful picture of Zoey by qMargot the most! Please keep up your amazing support, CMR Rosa!

As always, there will be a very important AN at the end of the chapter, part notes, part translation.

Without further adieu, please enjoy the thirteenth chapter of "Unbreakable Red Silken Thread": Chance: The Folly of Icarus

Cody woke up.

He didn't want to wake up however, his mind as fuzzy as it was wanted nothing more than to hold Heather's smaller, warm body in his arms while her arms looped around his toned waist. The continuous pounding from outside slowly forced him to open one teal eye, its pupil shrinking in annoyance as its twin followed suit.

'The storm outside?' he thought to himself before closing his half-opened eyes and doing his best to ignore the noise.

As he continued to hear the pounding from outside, his mind slowly but surely realized that there was a pattern to the pounding, which in turn made him notice that it couldn't be the thunder, it was too regular. Paying closer attention, the lose wires in his sleep deprived brain brushed against one another and made him realize it wasn't thunder but someone knocking on their dorm's door.

Heather had since woken up herself and he could see she had silently reached the same conclusion. The lover's looked to each other, both knowing what had to be done despite not wanting to. As the unknown person continued knocking, the lovers kissed. Cody took the opportunity to cop a quick grope of her breasts while she took the same opportunity to feel up his backside. Once that was done, they reluctantly untangled themselves.

Cody slipped into his boxers and Heather slipped on the jersey he had given her long ago. Once the two were more or less decent, Cody looked over at the digital clock on the nightstand and saw its green numbers glowing in the darkness.

11:59 PM.

He groaned. 'Nothing good ever comes this late during a storm, be it news, calls, or company.'

Regardless, Cody lazily dragged himself to the door, Heather following a step behind.

Upon opening the door he was shocked to see Dawn, carrying another girl over her shoulders in a fireman's carry. His sleep addled mind couldn't tell what was more surprising, that Dawn was at their door at this hour with someone else, or that the diminutive blonde was even able to carry someone larger than herself in such a way.

Dawn was familiar face to the couple; she lived on the same floor as them and had a morning class schedule just as they did. They weren't exactly friends with the odd if not unsettling girl but they were on (mostly) good terms. Between the two of them Cody knew her the least, if only because Heather had a little more interaction (or in her words, altercations) with her than he had. His knowledge of the Moonchild was limited to her being the childhood friend of Zoey, someone who had easily became one of his best friends since classes had started.

For the briefest of moments, amid the flashes of lightning, the Geek feared that the other girl was Zoey.

He quickly realized to his relief however, that this girl wasn't Zoey, she couldn't be. For one thing, the girl draped over Dawn's shoulders was taller, and while his brain was just barely on the verge of waking up, he could tell her backside was a far cry from the Indie Chick's.

Not that his perversions overrode common sense that something was seriously wrong, the difference was simply that noticeable.

Cody was at a loss for who it could be, something seemed vaguely familiar about her but he couldn't place his finger on it. She didn't look like anyone he knew off the top of his head, but there was something almost...familiar about her.

"Uh…what's going on here? Did I miss something?" The Tech Geek finally asked.

Cody's confusion only increased when Heather started to glare at Dawn while the Moonchild looked completely unfazed before returning her otherworldly blue-grey gaze to him.

"So…uh, Dawn…who is that?" he asked, hoping to a clue idea of what was happening.

"This is Gwen Fahlenbock."

With that, a verbal snap of the fingers from a neutral party, the very universe came to a dead stop. That was nothing compared to how Cody reacted internally. Those words, as few as they were, were like atom bombs going off. All traces and hints of sleep were gone in an instant as his mind cracked like an egg and his synapse fired off a million thoughts to try and process this information at once.

When his brain finally finished processing what it had been given, The Tech Geek all but stumbled and fell on his ass at seeing the Goth for the first time since they fled the erupting volcano after the botched finale of Total Drama World Tour. Mere words could not hope to convey the expression plastered across the boy's face, as though one were staring into bowels of Hell. Every single artery, vein, and blood cell outright ignored the laws of physics and froze in place.

"Why did you bring her here, Dawn?" Heather asked, her voice brimming with hate and malice. Ignoring the questioning look on Cody's face she continued, "Why the fuck did you bring her here!?"

Shouldering the inebriated Gwen as best she could, Dawn responded, "I brought Gwen here because she needs help, and the last time she needed it, you were there for her."

That caught Cody's attention, and now that he was looking at his girlfriend more closely he noticed that she didn't seem shocked in the least that her one time archrival from Total Drama was here.

Turning to his girlfriend, Cody asked, "W-What is Dawn talking about?"

"I-I-I'll explain later…" was Heather's shockingly meek reply.

Cody barely heard it; instead he was still focused on his girlfriend's lack of surprise. This was too big of a deal for even her skilled mask to cover and hide such a reaction, which he knew could only mean one thing. Somehow, she had already known that Gwen was here, and combined with Dawn's use of the phrase 'last time she needed help' had to be referring to something fairly recent. Not back on Total Drama or some time during the last three years, but since they arrived on campus, otherwise she would have been as surprised to see her as he was.

This revelation was just the first of several that night that caused his blood to boil.

Monday, October 27th, 2014 (11:30 AM)

Cody shook his head, snapping out of the bitter memories of the previous night and the following morning for only the briefest of moments.

'Why did this have to happen now of all times!?'

Monday, October 27th, 2014 (12:14 AM)

Standing just outside of the slightly cracked open door, but now fully cleaned from Gwen's barf barrage, Cody's mind was at war with itself. He wanted so badly to go into that room, to see that Gwen was doing better with his own eyes so he could lay at least some of his fears to rest. But, respecting Heather's wishes, and understanding her reasoning he remained outside and waited for the all clear. Needing to know more of what was going on, he settled for standing at the doorways threshold and listening in for any clues to what was going on.

"So that's why you helped out Gwen even after you knew who she was…because you knew that Cody still cared about her…for her?" Dawn's squeaky pitched voice asked.

Hearing that threw Cody for a loop, the confusion and frustration already buzzing between his ears like a swarm of rabid killer bees. Dawn's statement only made the confusion buzz stronger.

'When did it happen? How did Heather help her?' he thought to himself.

Then after a few seconds of silence she continued, "And the reason why you didn't turn me away at the door just now was because you were afraid of Cody finding out who she was later, and how that would make him blame you if anything happened to her, isn't it?"

The Tech Geek focused on that newest piece of information in particular. 'What does she mean by that? What happened to Gwen!? What does Heather know!?'

With each new question, Cody felt himself growing more and more concerned. Having nothing to go off of, his mind naturally went to some very dark places; places that he really hoped were not even close to the truth. Not knowing was simply killing him.

Cody was brought out of his thoughts by a familiar heavy sigh.

"The whole fucking universe is so fucking fucked up. Just when things started to get good in my life, and I mean really, really good, the forces of the entire fucking cosmos step in to personally make sure that things remain at the same shitty equilibrium as always!" Heather complained with almost hushed breath.

"Do you really believe that?" Dawn asked.

"My entire life has been one big proclamation of that," Heather hissed, "I'm not allowed to be happy or have nice things that actually matter. And when I do somehow stumble upon some happiness, it's never for very long," there was a brief yet tense pause. "Out of everything that could have happened, out of every possible fucking rock that the powers that be could have thrown in my way, it had to be the only one that I'm absolutely fucking powerless to deal with! The only one that my wealth can't make disappear! The only one that I can't outsmart with a clever plan! The only fucking one that might have more of a stake in Cody than my own feelings for him," Heather seethed.

Hearing that brought a not so old memory to the forefront of Cody's mind, from when things had just started getting good between them they learned about her parents. This was followed by an even more recent memory of her avoiding him after their junior year ended with her reclaiming her crown as Queen Bee. Cody's face was shadowed as that memory lead to the next, him learning the reason she had been avoiding him being she went to a party, got drunk and cheated on him, followed by the memory of how long it took to move past that, for both of them.

As he stood there shrouded by the shadow of the darkened hallway with lightning flashing outside, Cody felt a familiar pain start to claw away at him from within. It was the same pain he felt after learning Heather had lied to him, cheated on him with someone else. Heather, his first girlfriend, the first person to ever tell him that she loved him…had betrayed him. The Tech Geek had never experienced a pain like the one he was getting flashbacks of.

That in turn made him recall the one thing that hurt even more, that he was the one who ignored her after finding out, that he had been so angry for what felt like a slow, miserable eternity before he even gave her the chance to explain what had happened.

'Okay, this is huge, and Heather had better have a damn good explanation! But, I'll let her explain herself this time; I don't want to make the same mistake as last time. She had to have a good reason, I just wish she had told me so I could have helped Gwen!'

Monday, October 27th, 2014 (11:45 AM)

Looking down, Cody felt his mood drop a little more, and it was pretty low to begin with.

'Gwen…'

Monday, October 27th, 2014 (12:20 AM)

"Cody! It's okay; you can come in here now! Please watch Gwen while I walk Dawn out!" Heather called out.

Cody didn't need to be told twice; he passed through the doorway and was halfway to the Goth in a single step. Being closer to Gwen and eager for an explanation, Cody was restraining himself as best he could, which sadly wasn't very well at all. He knew he was scowling hard at Heather but it conveyed only a tiny sliver of his emotional turmoil.

As Heather and Dawn left the room, Cody got to his knees at the side closest to the Goth's face. Just looking at her, watching her as she slept he committed every detail to memory, every difference and every change since the last time he had seen her. Patches of jet-black were obscuring most of her face, but after a few tries he managed to brush it away, finally getting a good look at her for the first time in over three years.

What he saw made him choke up.

A hand covered his mouth and his vision started to blur around the edges.

Gwen, despite having aged several years and not being in the best of shape, was still as beautiful as he remembered. With all the changes it was a little hard to make out, but he still saw the same girl who caught his eyes and stole his heart back on Total Drama Island. He saw that same girl whose natural beauty and grace bordered on the supernatural. As happy as he was with Heather, it still felt wonderful to see her beauty once more. But then, his heart wrenched and twisted at her current condition. He was overjoyed to see her again after what felt like so long, but at the same time he felt like someone had just run him through with a sword. Honestly he didn't know how he was supposed to feel right now.

Then, he noticed something, something that stood out against her pale skin that didn't belong. A bruise on her cheek. Naturally, that was of concern but he didn't think much of it, everyone had accidents and it was possible she had slipped and fallen given that Dawn had been carrying her. That train of thought derailed when he also noticed what looked like a faded black eye.

"Okay, what the hell is going on here!? It almost looks like she was in a fi-a-a-a-a..." Cody said out loud, before stopping. In the pause that followed, his pupils shrank down to pinpricks, "a fight," he said, with a wistfulness of disbelief. The entire world went cold, transforming into something grotesque as another memory resurfaced.

He remembered a month ago when Heather told him about helping a girl. A girl that had been fighting with her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend that had hit her.

Monday, October 27th, 2014 (11:50 AM)

Cody felt the newest wave of guilt's arrows turn him into human pincushion as he sat and stared at his lunch.

'Heather's always the one looking out for me, and helping others now, more than me at least. Gah! I feel like shit! I acted like a complete and total ass to her! And what's even worse is I made the same fucking mistake as last time! Even with her and Gwen's history, she still helped her out with Duncan!'

The memory of how he had yelled at her after discovering Gwen's bruises came rushing back like salmon swimming upstream.

'It's always the fucking same!' Cody lamented to himself. 'Whenever something serious happens, I always jump the gun! Even after all this time, I still don't automatically trust her! Even after everything we've been through and everything she has done for me! I-'

The Tech Geek's brooding was brought to a halt, at least temporarily when he felt something poking his right arm. Turning his head, Cody saw Zoey wearing a worried expression, her hand now resting on his shoulder "Are you feeling alright?"

Blinking as his mind returned to the present time and place, Cody chuckled nervously, "Oh, uh…ha ha. Of course everything is all-all right, Zoey. I'm g-go-good. Nothing's wrong, nope, why would you even think that? Ha ha!"

Cody already knew that his attempts to cover up his true feelings were phony sounding at best, but he hadn't realized just how pathetic they were until he saw the others' expressions. Everyone at the table was looking at him with looks ranging from deadpan to worried.

The most extreme case of worry coming from the teen who was sitting across from him. With a determined scowl formed under his thick dark green woolly hat, the young man was holding up his lunch tray in front of him like a shield and his fork as though it were a trident. The look in his beady black eyes shown with the same level of determination as a gladiator in the ancient coliseum, resolved to fight to the death but fearful to do so.

"Shawn, relax," said the person sitting to frightened young man's left. Small, smaller than even Cody back during Total Drama's run was a skinny dark skinned teen that at even a brief glace would have been labeled as a nerd. "He's not a zombie, you know zombies can't talk!"

"I'm not taking any chances, Cam!" Shawn fired back, unflappable in his conviction. "He could just be starting to turn!"

Cody's rebuttal was to wordlessly slump forward and hit his head on the table with a groan.

Shawn's retort was equally non-verbal, swapping his fork for a butter knife.

Not sure of where to go from that, no one spoke for a full minute. The Tech Geek used that time to fully remind himself where he was right now and shake loose the last bit of his memories cling. He was at lunch, sharing a meal with five of his friends after stumbling through his first two classes of the day. Two girls and three guys, their presence had become a daily comfort he looked forward to.

First was Shawn Bennett, sitting directly in front of him at the table's other end, lunch tray and butter knife still in hand. The Zombie Conspiracy Nut's black eyes were still focused on Cody quite intently, trying to determine if his pal had become a member of the undead who had to be put down again. The few whiskers on his chin were made tense by the tightening of the muscles in his jaw and neck. Despite the look of fear on Shawn's face, it really wasn't that much different from the norm. Even at his calmest, there was always a tenseness to him that Cody had mostly grown accustom to. The same applied to his clothing: a white long sleeved shirt, an orange sleeveless vest, blue jeans, and grey sneakers.

To Shawn's left, sat Cameron Corduroy Wilkins, the Bubble Boy. By far the least physically imposing member of their group, outside of maybe Dawn, he was the shortest person Cody had ever met in his life. If he had to guess, Cameron was lucky to be pushing five foot flat. His dark brown hair was spread thinly over his large and round head. His skin was lighter shade of black, closer to being a milk-chocolate color, though it had an odd paleness to it, likely from a lack of natural light over the course of his life. Large clear glasses shielded his only slightly smaller eyes. Over all, his body and limbs (though most of which were barely if not at all visible) were pencil thin. In the immortal words of Colonel Chester Phillips, the boy needed a sandwich. The one other unusual thing about him was how despite it being a very nice day outside, he was always dressed for much colder weather. A large red, hooded sweatshirt, muted orange shorts and knee high white socks, there was no skin below his neck ever exposed. His light brown sneakers likewise looked like they had come right off the shelf.

Sitting to Cameron's left was the largest of their group, Brick McArthur. The Cadet vaguely reminded Cody of a white DJ, about as tall and just as muscular as the Brickhouse of Total Drama. His short-sleeved dark green shirt did nothing to hide the rock solid muscles beneath it; the same was true of his blue knee length jeans that showed off his mighty leg muscles. Keeping with his love and devotion to the military, his black hair was still in the same buzz cut it had been for years just as the pair of silver dog tags around his neck hadn't left it since the day he got them.

What was of greater interest however was Brick's expression of utter confusion. While Cody knew that Brick was one of his best friends and he had no ill will towards him, there was something about him that was setting off the Tech Geek's temper. It took him a moment to realize that it was his thick black unibrow.

It reminded him too much of someone else who used to have one.

Jo, who was sitting on Brick's right, noticed this and was equally confused. From what she knew of Cody, he didn't have any reason to look at her boyfriend like that. Hell she was having a very hard time remembering if he had ever shown anger towards anyone since meeting him. Aside from the anger in his expression, she could see something else in his eyes that was out of place, something between sadness and grief if she had to name it. Voicing her confusion, the Jockette addressed him as diplomatically as she knew how.

"What's da matter with you, Teckie? Someone dead or something?" looking to the vacant seat between them she nodded towards it, "And does it have anything to do with why Short Stuff isn't here?"

Cody sunk even lower at the mention of his absent girlfriend.

"I wish, then I wouldn't feel like such a total ass," he replied with a sigh.

No one could say anything after that, none of them having ever seen him like this or able to think up a reason he would be like this that didn't involve Heather. With the exception of one.

"Does…this have anything to do with Gwen?" Zoey, the exception, asked sheepishly.

Three of the people at the table looked at Zoey with expressions of shock, even Jo, who had recently learned of the history between her friends and the Goth. Those same three also realized that it would not be wise to continue pressing the matter, the proof being Cody hitting his head on the hard table yet again.

But there was one person who didn't realize this. "Who is Gwen?" Cameron asked.

No one dared to answer the Bubble Boy's question, even if it wasn't the case; they knew it was a big red button labeled 'do not press'. His large glass-covered eyes scanned those around him, searching for some avenue of information but finding little to none. Brick and Shawn wore blank neutral expressions, Cody's was still getting very intimate with the dirty eating surface, and Zoey was looking down with an expression that reeked of shame. His attention was pulled to the most shocking reaction of the group, Jo who was looking the other way.

"Jo," the Bubble Boy asked, "do you know what's going on?" The Jockette was silent. Even so, Cameron picked up on some non-verbal statements. "It seems like you do. The slight fidgeting, barely detectable curling of your fingers, and brief facial expressions of discomfort all suggest that you know something about this but you don't want to say it."

Jo's response to this was a two-second flash of pain across her normally stoic face, followed by her getting up and taking her tray with her. As she left she muttered, "I-I need to go. My next class is on the other end of the campus."

Cameron observed the sight before him with even more confusion than before. After looking at Jo's retreating form for a few seconds, he turned to the others, "That's odd; she's never left early before."

It was several long moments before someone filled the verbal void.

"I know you didn't interact with anyone but your mother until you were eighteen, Private, but for someone so smart you sure can be stupid sometimes," Brick remarked with more than a little bitterness before getting up and following after his girlfriend.

Cameron's ebony face instantly showed just how upset he was by Brick's out-of-character comment, his large black eyes becoming mirrors of sadness, worry, and even greater confusion. Clueless as to what happened, with this often happening when engaging with others socially, he did what he always did when it happened. "What just happened? Did I do something wrong?"

"Yeah, you did," Cody informed him, face still down on the table, "you just screwed up, and the more time you spend around girls, the more it happens. The more you care about them, the worse the screw ups get."

Unseen by Cody, who was still looking down, but not to Zoey or Shawn, Cameron glanced over to a nearby table, or rather, the lone person eating at the nearby table. This lone person was a short and very cute Asian girl, with an amazingly fit figure. Short black hair and equally ebony eyes, she wore a crème-yellow shirt, hip hugging black pants and purple sneakers with white patterns across them. Sky Podemski, the girl who had the wide-eyed Bubble Boy just as entranced as the day he first saw her. And once again just as that day he saw her jogging by in nothing but a pair of shorts and a sports bra, his eyes couldn't leave her wonderful body. This time however it was mainly out of fearing if there was any truth in his friend's depressing statement.

After finally prying his attention away from the first girl to snare his heart and focusing on the Tech Geek once again, Cameron asked, "If that's the case, then why do people get together in the first place, or stay together for that matter?"

Despite being good friends with him, both Zoey and Shawn glared at the confused Bubble Boy and his social naiveté even harder.

"It's for those times between the screw ups," Cody said to Cameron while still looking down, "they're the reason people try. If you're lucky, they make the screw ups worth it. And if you're really lucky, she'll think the times between the screw-ups are worth overlooking them."

September 2nd, 2014

The first day of classes at Pertsch& McGillis Memorial University had been going rather well. Aside from the expected stresses of a new environment, trying to find their classes and adjusting to the large lecture halls, it was just another ordinary day. Both Cody and Heather had an hour long break after their first two classes, so they met up with Jo who offered to give them a rundown of the cafeteria, explaining the many choices they had, what changed from day to day, what remained more or less the same, where to avoid and how the unfortunately confusing payment system worked.

The Jockette had just finished listing off the specialty selections when she noticed a commotion at the other edge of the wide room. Grumbling under her breath, she groaned, "Oh, just fucking great. Bitch Kong is starting early this year."

The comment got Cody and Heather's attention, as they looked to see what she was talking about.

Two people were getting a royal ass chewing from a third. Said third party appeared to be female, but they weren't entirely sure.

"All right, ya stick-thin moon-cricket!" the lady that might not have been a lady bellowed with an obnoxiously thick country accent while pointing a meaty finger at the smaller of the two, who was holding a box in his shaking arms, "ya'll best be handin' ova that there box of donuts or you'll be in for-a world of hurt!"

"Back off, you boomer!" the taller of the two snapped back as he stood between the scared teen with said box of donuts and the raging likely-a-lady. "Cam bought 'em fair and square. It's not his fault he got the last one because he was ahead of you in line!"

The only response that got him was the lady of questionable female gender trying to pry the donut box out of 'Cam's' hands.

Looking pissed, Jo took a step to intervene before Heather put a hand on her shoulder.

"Jo," the once and forever Queen Bee asked as she pointed towards the escalating scuffle, "who's the fat bitch and what exactly is her problem?"

"Who, Bitch Kong? That's Sugar Wilson," Jo explained before lightly chuckling, "You know it's funny, but when we first met I thought for a moment you two might be related." Heather's raised eyebrow told the Jockette that she needed to say more, so she did. "She's something of a local star, won quite a few beauty pageants over the years."

Cody stared at the furious fatty for a few moments, looking her over in closer detail to try and make sense of what they had just been told. He noticed her pudgy frame, odd pink top that only covered half the space between her belly and breasts (both of which jiggled in a near hypnotic way as she fought for the baked goods and not the least bit arousing), the way-too tight blue jeans, and her matted blonde hair. All these details came together to form a single image in his mind.

A giant red X

The Geek who respected all woman then piped up with, "Looking like that!?"

"She didn't always look like that," Jo amended, "or act like a complete and total bitch."

"So what happened to her?"

"She lost one."

"How did losing one pageant make her gain all that weight and become such a bitch?"

Jo's only reply was a shrug of the shoulders.

As the two had been talking, Heather had tuned them out partly in favor of her new iPhone. Thumbs tapping the touch-screen at a nearly blinding rate of speed as she continued her search. After a few seconds, a large grin formed as she started walking towards Sugar.

It was not a nice grin.

Jo saw this and groaned, "Great, now I've got to stop the new girl from getting turned into a carpet stain."

But before she could take more than two steps, Cody grabbed her by the forearm stopping her. "Do you want your girlfriend dead or something?" Jo asked, more confused than annoyed.

Cody just smiled before replying. "You seriously think Sugar's a threat? Just sit tight, the show's about to start." Jo shook free from his grip and started making her way to the fight, only to hear Cody call out to her, "Be careful though, the first three rows are a splash zone!" Jo stopped and looked back at him, now very much confused at the cheerful note his voice carried despite his girlfriend approaching a woman Jo knew had put several people in the Emergency Room.

Jo looked Cody over with a critical eye, like he had grown a second head that was singing songs from Gulliver and Sullivan in Kinglon. There was no sarcasm in his voice, yet there was no concern for Heather's wellbeing either.

With her gaze as unfazed as ever even as she approached the eye of the Sugar storm, Heather calmly interrupted the fight by tapping on the far fatter girl's right shoulder.

Mid shove and shout, the former Pageant Queen turned towards the Queen Bee with a snarl on her fat mauve painted lips. "Whata doin'? Can't ya see that I'm fightin' here? Ya better have a good reason for this or ya'll be getting' this too, ya tiny spec of a chic!?" Sugar roared sending several small wads of spit flying onto Heather's face.

Heather's expression didn't change at all, maintaining an innocent if pleasant demeanor. "Excuse me," she started, sounding calm and cheerful, "I'm terribly sorry for the interruption but I'm new here and I couldn't help but notice you when I came in. Are you by chance Sugar Wilson, the incredible pageant star who won the province championship four years in a row?" She cracked a tiny smile as she closed her eyes and lightly cocked her head to the side to form the very picture of innocence.

Sugar stared at Heather in absolute and obvious confusion for a solid thirty seconds before a light bulb clicked on (then blew out). "Well howdy, fan-girl! It's a real pleasure to make your acquaintance! Why didn't ya say you was a fan ta begin with, ya slanty-eyes shorty!?" she said as the gears in her mind flipped to the opposite extreme in an instant. Her savage scowl now having been swapped for a sincere smile. "But yeah, hon, I'm Suga! I sure as suga am Suga! Ha, ha! Hot damn, meetin' ya has made me grin like a possum eating a sweet potato!"

"My, my, what a charming colloquialism that was," Heather responded just as pleasantly, despite her eyebrow subtly quivering and her eyes being closed for a few seconds.

"Coloca-what?"

"Ah, never mind."

"So, ya know who I am, but are ya?"

"Who, me? I'm just a nobody who's heard so much about you from a cousin of mine," Heather answered as she causally brushed the question aside, "she's been a huge fan of yours for years. She always went to your pageants, and I think she even met you in-person once. She always looked up to you as one of her biggest role models actually."

"Well, ain't that sweeter than a baby pig rolled in honey!" Sugar gushed, completely eating up the praise and attention. "Just who is this cousin of yours anyway, missy?"

Smiling innocently as ever, Heather spoke, "Ella Muse."

That got a visible and immediate reaction out of Sugar. First she went quiet, then the smile left her face. This was followed by her right eyebrow twitching and a throbbing vein growing across her forehead.

"What da fuck are ya doin' talkin' 'bout that whore!?" Sugar exploded at Heather. "Ella fucking Muse is uglier than a boar's backside and her voice sounds like a pair of cat gettin' castrated! It's all her fault! She set me up! She did this to me! Oh, she says it wasn't but that's a crock of shit! In fact, she's so full of shit her eyes are brown!"

By this point, the Queen Bee dropped all pretenses of politeness and reveled in Sugar's rage. She smiled with wicket delight, a fact that the former Pageant Queen quickly took notice of. "She puta up to this, didn't she!?" Sugar snapped, pointing a pudgy finger at Heather. "Yeah, that's what this is! Ella talked ya into spiting me just cuz' I'm da better woman!"

"Oh, that's a fascinating theory," Heather said as condescendingly as humanely possible. "Tell ya what you disgusting bloated boar of a bitch, how about you come over here and try to beat the answer out of me? I'll even give you the first shot."

Needing no more encouragement, Sugar charged towards the Queen Bee like a rampaging elephant. Despite her massive girth and serious lack when it came to physical conditioning, the former Pageant Queen was able to move her enormous bulk with shocking speed. The space between her and Heather was closing faster and faster, Sugar's snarling and beast-like face became more frightening the closer she got.

Heather was completely unfazed as the literal great white whale loomed over her. She remained perfectly still, standing straight as a pole of solid steel showing not an ounce of fear or concern. It wasn't until the woman charging at her was literally inches away that Heather acted.

Standing on the toes of her right foot, she pirouetted, and then transitioned to her left heel perfectly shifting her position several inches to the side from where she had been standing in the blink of an eye.

Sugar saw this as it happened and tried to stop, but she was unable to thanks to her gathered momentum. As a result she ended up tripping over a mop bucket that had been filled of soapy water that had behind Heather the entire time. A loud smash filled the eating area followed by what would later be reported as a small tremor.

Groaning in mild pain from colliding with a wall with added force thanks to the slick soap and water speeding her up, Sugar quickly rose up and looked even more pissed. Her teeth were clenched together so tightly that it looked like they might shatter at any moment.

Sugar took a step forward and promptly slipped on the soapy floor tile surrounding her. With even less dignity, she fell flat on her face and was further covered in bubbly water for her trouble.

With that, the former Pageant Queen let loose a string of more colorful Southern sayings and swears while everyone else watching laughed at her misfortune.

Such laughter only increased when the not too bright fatso tried to stand up several more times, all of which resulted in a repeat of her falling on her less than petite backside. Local geologist likewise recorded several additional aftershocks.

After the sixth try, Sugar finally managed to stand and escape the slip zone.

As Sugar once again began snarled, a loud ripping sound filled the air. All of a sudden, the former Pageant Queen who had been so gung-ho moments ago became very, very, very quiet and very, very, very still. Despite that, the ripping sound continued in the otherwise silent cafeteria.

Soon enough, the source of the ripping sound became obvious to everyone. When it did, almost everyone started laughing even harder.

What other kind of reaction would anyone have expected from Sugar's shorts tearing, exposing the majority of her (thankfully) boxer-covered backside to anyone who was within eyeshot of her?

Now at her limit and just a step away from killing this little Asian whore, Sugar, with bright red face and anger sparking across her eyes like raw electricity, bellowed, "Are ya just beggin' for a ass-kickin', ya skinny little nothin'!?"

Heather didn't answer for several moments; instead she allowed the iPhone she was holding up to do all of the talking for her. "I've been recording this entire little chat between us, Sugar," she replied matter of factly, "and if you take one more step towards me or those two geeks I'll post this for everyone to see. Hash tag, 'Shake it bake it Sugar Quake it'."

Sugar got even madder, with her teeth now starting to grind against themselves hard enough to produce a tiny audible creaking sound. "This ain't ova, ya whore!" she growled.

"By the time you find a pair of pants big enough to fit your enormous ass and get back, I'll have had the slow-mo remix finished and posted, complete with cheesy sixties porn music playing in the background." Heather causally fired off with a triumphant smirk.

Sugar's fat face turned even redder with rage, her cheeks puffing up as she released heavy breaths. Her eyes glared at Heather as harshly as she could while her meaty fists shook. After several seconds of livid stewing, Sugar screamed and stormed off in bitter defeat.

"You have chosen wisely," Heather said to the fleeing fat-ass, paused, then added, "in wearing boxers for underwear!"

This prompted Sugar, who was still storming off to flip the Queen Bee the bird. It didn't faze Heather in the slightest as she simply stood basking in her own glory.

"What. The fuck. Just happened?" Jo asked Cody, still staring at the sight of Sugar's cowed form leaving in awe.

"Bitch Kong just had a run in with Bitchzilla and lost," he answered with a pride filled smile.

The Jockette continued to stare at the Tech Geek next to her, and was shocked to find that his eyes were getting a little watery. "Are you cryin'!?" she asked, even more shocked.

Cody, trying not to laugh, replied with a shaky voice, "There's just so much beauty in the world, ya know?"

The Tech Geek couldn't fully articulate into words how proud his was of his girlfriend. He loved Heather, from the bottom of his heart. Not just because she was beautiful, sexy, and happened to enjoy the odd threesome with really hot girls, but also because she had truly become a beautiful person. She still had her rough edges, but she had changed quite a bit. From a cold, demanding and bitter young woman who put down anyone she crossed paths with for sport, to where she was now was nothing short of astounding.

'She is SO getting eaten out tonight,' he thought to himself wanting very much to let her know just how much what she did meant to him.

Even if eating a girl out ranked about as low on the list as something could get, he would still do. He knew that she liked it, and rare little acts like this were something he did want to encourage.

Jo gave the Tech Geek an odd look as he went over to Heather and followed behind him.

By the time Cody and Jo had made it to where the trio were, the former two had expressed their thanks and introduced themselves to Heather as Cameron and Shawn. Cutting into the conversation without pausing for an instant, Cody wrapped his arms around Heather's waist, dipped her and proceeded to shove as much of his tongue down her throat as he could like their plane was going down. This made the two other guys cheer even more, and afterwards, the two nerds showered praise after praise upon the Queen Bee, who soaked it up like a sunflower on a clear day.

"That wasn't particularly nice, Heather."

Heather, Cody, Shawn and Cameron all jumped in surprise at the voice from nowhere. Turning, they noticed the petite light blonde standing where no one had been only moments ago. Jo had also been shocked, but hid it well after having dealt with two years of the jump scares.

"What the fuck!?" Heather shouted, her voice at a higher than usual pitch.

"Hello," the blonde replied causally and almost bluntly, unfazed by Heather's alarm.

"Who the fuck are you!?" Heather shouted again in the same higher vocal pitch of worry as the first time. Though partly behind Cody, she had her mace in hand and ready.

"Hello, my name is Dawn Medrek," The Moonchild answered before gesturing to the redhead standing next to her who had been unnoticed until now, "and this is Zoey Mamabolo."

With the introductions made, Dawn said nothing more and simply stared oddly at Heather. While she did, Zoey walked over to Cameron and Shawn with a relieved yet apologetic expression. Once she reached them, she took the box of donuts from the former Bubble Boy. "Thank you so much for getting these for me, Cam! I'm so sorry about that!" she started, sounding quite grateful and apologetic.

"It's okay, Zoey," Cameron smiled in appreciation, "everything worked out in the end."

Smiling at the display of friendship between the two, Cody turned from Zoey and Cameron to Heather and Dawn, who were speaking quietly, in hushed tones.

"It was wrong of you to lie to Sugar," Dawn chastised.

Heather scoffed. "She had it coming, and I was only helping."

"Your aura says otherwise," The Moonchild commented with unwavering certainty. "Instead of the rosy red of generosity, your spiritual energy was the dark blue of selfishness. You helped out just now for personal gain, not to help out another person."

The Queen Bee snorted at that. "Really? The color of my spiritual energy? That's your proof?" She released a small chuckle at the stupidity of that idea. "Bitch, please, if you're going to accuse me of something, you need something that would actually stand in court."

With that, Heather started to walk away from the Aura Whisperer, who had more to say. "Heather, you carry many wounds, a great deal of pain and distrust. You push people away at a subconscious level for your own protection. For most of your life you have been hurt and alone, so you loathe most of humanity. That's such a shame because your aura is a brilliant green."

The sandaled feet of the raven-haired Asian stopped dead in their tracks hearing that. Only being half aware that she was doing it, Heather turned back towards Dawn, who continued speaking. "Those with green auras are blessed with a healing presence to them, able to help and strengthen others. You've used that to great effect on your boyfriend. His aura speaks of considerable growth both in terms of character and happiness. But aside from him, you deny others assistance unless it benefits you. You're limiting your own growth, condemning yourself to a lifetime of bitterness and despair."

Unable to grasp what was being said and feeling more than a little bit terrified, Heather once again walked away from Dawn. But while doing so, once she was passing the opened box of donuts in Cameron's arms, she plucked out a single circular ring of baked goodness.

Both Cameron and Zoey cried out, "Hey!"

Heather, without stopping or looking back, waved them off, "Protection fee." She took a quick, greedy bite of it, getting a little of the chocolate frosting covering it on her lips as she headed towards one of the lines for Tai food.

"I-I'm sorry about that," Cody said, a little taken off guard by the sudden action, "Heather has her own way of being...nice to people, and it takes a little getting used to."

"She isn't a nice person," Dawn commented.

That caused Cody to frown, though he managed to keep it from turning into a scowl. "Yes she is. You just have to get to know her," he defended.

"So…uh," Zoey cut in, hoping to end the growing tenseness between Cody and Dawn, "is Heather really is Ella Muse's cousin?"

"No," Cody denied, "that was just something to get under Sugar's skin, but I have no idea why it worked so well though. I've seen name dropping cause reactions in the past before, but never like that."

"Well, Ella Muse is actually a friend of ours," Zoey explained, "well, okay, more of a classmate that pretty much everyone gets along with. She accidently signed up for a beauty pageant last year instead of a singing contest, and she won without even trying. Ever since then Sugar has...been different."

Cody snorted. "I can tell you for a fact that no one turns into that big of a bitch overnight. It's more likely she's always been one, but she was just good at hiding it."

Now with it being Zoey's turn to frown, "How could you possibly know that?"

That question caused a series of flashbacks and memories to run across his mind. Faces and names he hadn't seen or thought of since Total Drama had ended its run. Pushing down the scowling faces of Courtney, Eva and Blaineley with a shudder he cleared his throat. "Let's just say I have a lot of experience in dealing with people like that."

"While your aura does suggest that what you say is correct," Dawn piped in, "Ella Muse is still a student at this university and by angering Sugar she might take it out on her. Heather should think about what she is doing before she acts next time."

"She probably already has," Cody pointed out; still defending Heather's actions from what in his opinion was unwarranted criticism. "That threat to Sugar will most likely keep her from doing anything in the future."

While he had been talking to the light blonde haired girl, Cody couldn't help but notice her redheaded friend staring at him. Her gaze was intense, almost as if he were an abstract painting in an art gallery she was trying to understand. "Is...something wrong, uh…Zoey?"

"Oh!" Zoey said out of surprise, then began stuttering a little out of embarrassment, "n-no, nothing, nothing is wrong. It's just that you look familiar for some reason, but I can't quite put my finger on it...have we met somewhere before?"

Long ago Cody had learned (thanks to Heather) that if a girl caught you giving her the once over the outcome would more than likely be a bad one. There were however a few phases that could be considered an open invitation.

'Have we met before' was as close as you could get to having the welcome carpet rolled out for you.

The Tech Geek's teal eyes looked the redhead standing before him over from head to toe several times trying to recall if he had in fact met this girl somewhere before. Outside of Total Drama and school, he really didn't meet or know that many members of the fairer sex. The first thing he noticed about her was her hair, a dark and vivid shade of red that he couldn't recall having seen before in person. Given that her eyebrows were the same shade of red, it meant she was either a natural or very dedicated when it came to her dye job. Holding out his hand, which she eyed for a moment before accepting, he pulled her towards him slightly then lifted her arm up and turned her in place one full time, released then stepped back from her. That was all it took, he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he had never before met this woman in his life.

The phrase 'child bearing hips' would have been a narrow compliment, just as the term 'dat ass' fell flat to what he had seen that one brief instant. Simply put, even after all of his time on Total Drama and the girls he had shared with Heather in threesomes, this Zoey girl had the single best ass he had ever seen in his entire life! 'I bet she's got a good two, hell, three inches of cushion under her when she's sitting.' Pushing those very pleasant thoughts and images out of mind his head shook.

"No, I'm sorry to say that I don't think so. I'd certainly remember meeting a girl as pretty as yourself," Cody replied with his unique gap-toothed smile and a wink.

His efforts resulted in a mild reaction of amusement from Dawn and a light blush from Zoey. Cody grinned at this, the fact that he was now handsome enough to actually be successful when flirting with girls being something that he still wasn't quite use to.

"I think I know who you are," Shawn said, who had also been staring at Cody intensely, "you're Cody Anderson, from Total Drama, aren't you?" It was more of a statement than a question.

"Yeah…yeah, that's me," Cody admitted bashfully.

The Zombie Conspiracy Nut then pointed over to Heather in the Thai food line before asking, "And that. Is that really the same Heather Wilson from the show too?"

"Yup."

Shawn was about to introduce himself and Cameron when-

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" A loud yet very adorable fan-girl squeal filled the cafeteria. Everyone turned towards Zoey, who was gushing like no one's business. Hands clasped together in front of her chest as she bounced in place. "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, ohmygoshohmygosh! I LOVED that show! And to have two people from it going here is, just, just…EEEEEEE!"

Monday, October 27th, 2014 (12:15 PM)

As Zoey's fan-girl squeal reverberated in his mind, the Tech Geek found a new realization hitting him like a ton of bricks.

'Heather…helped Gwen…just like she helped Cameron and Shawn. She looked after them…both of us, me and Gwen. But why didn't she tell me that, why didn't she let me-'

'Do you really think that you could beat Duncan in a fight, Cody? You might not have known it was him but I know you've seen him around once or twice. He's the gutter-punk hulk almost as tall as Jasmine, you know, the one with more muscles than Geoff, Justin, and Alejandro combined! Even drunk off his ass, he's still got at least eighty pounds and over half a foot on you!' Heather's voice echoed in his mind.

Clenching his hands into fists, his eyes closed as he pushed down yet another wave of guilt. He was stronger now, he was in better shape, a far cry from the scrawny Tech Geek he had been.

But being stronger didn't mean he knew the first thing about fighting.

'She stopped me from getting my ass handed to me. That's why she didn't tell me!?' Cody thought before realizing something else, 'She's responsible for everything that's good in my life. My happiness. My sex life. My new friends. My self-esteem. But I still shouted at her like…'

"You shouldn't be so down on yourself, Cody." A new voice from nowhere spoke warmly.

Dawn had suddenly materialized behind the Tech Geek, as she often did when making her appearances. Cody had a fitting reaction for such an occurrence, as he often did whenever Dawn made her presence known. He screamed in a higher pitch than he would have preferred and slammed the tops of his knees into the bottom of the table. As pain shot through his legs, a string of curses were muttered under his breath. When he was able to stop verbally assaulting the poor defenseless table, Cody gave a weak glare at the Aura Whisperer, "Seriously, are you some kind of blonde Batman or something!? What are you doing behind me like that anyways!?"

The petite pale blonde pointed to the line for the vegan establishment of the food court and explained, "I was held up after my last class, and was late getting here. So it took me awhile to get my lunch. Sorry for being late, everyone. I must remember to tell Brick and Jo that I'm sorry for missing them. Oh, and Cameron, you shouldn't feel too bad but you should still apologize to Jo." She then sat down next to Zoey and started eating her meal in silence.

As so often happened after Dawn spoke, no one else had anything to say, simply trying to absorb her words and…presence as it were. However, once again, Zoey proved to be the expectation as she turned to Cameron and Shawn with a look of surprise before asking, "Oh! I almost forgot, how is the project coming along guys?"

"It's comin' along okay…I guess." Shawn said, not sounding too convinced by his answer.

Zoey rolled her eyes and groaned in annoyance, "Guuuuuys, you do know that I'm supposed to be mentoring you, right? You haven't asked me to help you with anything since you started, why?"

"Zoey," Cameron spoke up somewhat nervously, "it's coming along fine. We just don't want to bother you with every little thing since we're sure you're busy enough with work from your own classes."

The Indie Chick sighed and gave the two a look of disappointment. "Need I remind you two that just because I was assigned to be your mentor doesn't mean that helping you is a chore or a problem? I did sign up for the student assistance program for a reason. I want to help you guys out! And that wouldn't change even if I wasn't getting some extra credit for it."

At that, Cameron and Shawn relented and started to discuss their group project with Zoey. But by this point, the remaining Tech Geek sitting at the table tuned out the conversation.

Instead, Heather's words continued to ring in the back of his mind.

"I knew how you would have reacted to knowing her situation, as I already said. How could I not? I know that…you love her, after all."

Those words had been like a knife in the chest. They just wouldn't leave him alone. Heather said that he still loved Gwen. His girlfriend said he loved another woman!

Did he? Cody wanted to quickly shout 'No!'…but he found himself unable to voice the single simple word.

Occasionally over the years the Tech Geek's thoughts had drifted to his teenage Gothic crush, he would admit to that much. But it was never for very long, and both the durations and frequency had declined as he and Heather's relationship grew. Mostly due to Heather filling in those idle thoughts, but also because every time he did think about Gwen some rather uncomfortable thoughts and feelings would follow. Uncomfortable on several fronts.

But right now the largest source of discomfort came solely from Heather, cynical, anti-social, 'I have more split-ends than I have people I give a damn about' Heather. She truly loved him, she didn't just say it, she showed it, proved it. He felt what love felt like from someone who everyone, even himself, had vilified. Not just on Total Drama but also when she cheated on him, and he felt horrible for doing so.

That wasn't the only reason he felt horrible though. This entire debacle with Gwen had opened up some very old and very deep wounds. He remembered how devastated he felt when he found out Heather cheated on him, that he feared she had stopped loving him, that she finally realized he wasn't good enough for her. He remembered that it was only because she had continued to try and talk to him, begging him to let her explain what happened that he realized just how much she loved him, and how much she gave up for him. As horrible as all of that torment had been, it did ultimately lead to a positive outcome. For the first time in their relationship, Cody had unquestionable proof that a girl loved him, and that he loved her.

Cody's feelings for Heather might have started as lust, but they grew and evolved through camaraderie and mutual emotional support. They looked out for and after one another, helped each other, and whenever possible were there for each other. It was all of those things and more, almost indescribable, that's how he knew it was love.

And that was exactly why Heather's words about her knowing he loved Gwen bothered him so much. The problem was while his head knew that it wasn't love, his head knew he didn't love Gwen, something else just couldn't let go of her. It was the same something that filled his veins with lava at the mere thought of Duncan hurting her, even more so than if it had been any other woman in that situation outside of Heather. Just like back on Total Drama, he could still feel the almost need-like urge to run over and help the Goth, even if she didn't want him too.

Having no idea of how to handle this, he let his mind go blank. It wasn't quite meditation, but it was in a similar vein. Originally it was a trick Heather had taught him to prolong his meager stamina when their relationship became more physical. Along with that, he had found that it was useful for other things.

In the void of his own skull, Cody's mind was quicksilver, uncontrollable. He found it difficult to keep one train of argument for very long, his thoughts coming and going like fish in a stream, small, fast fish, wiggling out of his grasp as soon as he took a hold of them.

Even so, he could note the scaly patterns of some of the thought fish that eluded him.

Heather's comment about knowing he loved Gwen.

Gwen's gigantic new breasts.

The ways that just looking at the Goth would make him feel during Total Drama.

The way that just looking at Heather would make him feel on any given day.

An upcoming report he hadn't even started for one of his classes about Moby Dick.

Confusion over how Gwen could have changed so much for the worse since Total Drama.

A great horror short story where a cooking Christmas turkey was given life by a demon.

Wondering what Gwen has been up to, and what other harms Duncan has made her endure.

Questions about why Heather was even helping his former crush in the first place.

Lingering worries as to why Heather had kept this information about Gwen from him.

The mental image of Zoey dressing up as Groucho Marx.

A mental note to record tomorrow's match on the DVR.

Thoughts about how Jasmine might look in a dress.

Concerns over what would happen to Gwen because of this.

Concerns over what would happen to his relationship with Heather.

Concerns over what would happen to Heather because of this.

Concerns that if Duncan would hurt his own girlfriend, he wouldn't have trouble hurting anyone else.

Before Cody could identify more of this shimmering school of his soul, Zoey once again tapped him on the right shoulder to pull him out of his thoughts. Apparently, the others had finished eating and his next class was going to start soon. Though still in a bit of a daze, he nodded his thanks. Getting up to throw away what was left of his lunch, he was surprised to find his Smartphone in hand and some rather interesting search results on the screen. Throwing away what was left in a nearby trashcan and headed towards his next class, he pocketed his phone and made a mental note to look up more on what he'd found later.

As he walked through the crowded and faceless filled halls without anything else to do but move one foot in front of the other, he thought. And thought and thought and thought.

After reaching his class and a fair amount of silent soul-searching, he reached two conclusions.

Whatever he felt for Gwen wasn't love.

What he felt for Gwen, whatever it was, was strong.

And that is the latest chapter of Unbreakable Red Silken Thread! As always, we hope you all enjoyed it! :)

Before getting to my closing thoughts, here's a word from Kenju: "Now, it might seem a little premature for Cody to be able to reason that his feelings for Gwen aren't 'love', but think back and remember he's been in a relationship with Heather for two years now, opposed to what he felt for Gwen during Total Drama. Add to that Cody has experienced quite a few things since then thanks to his relationship with Heather. He's observant and thoughtful, but still young and inexperienced in plenty of things. Now with that out of the way, Rufus, the comm. is yours."

Borrowing a line that I myself used in the author's notes of the very first chapter, I can already hear the tip tapping of computer keys, and my supernatural powers of clairvoyance tell me that several of you are going to leave comments like 'What is Sky doing here!?' or 'She's like is the blandest character evar!' or 'She a bitch!'

Now, it is true that *canon* Sky has become one of the most polarizing if not outright hatred characters from the Total Drama cast. Despite that, please don't lose faith in this story, I actually have a few things to say about how Sky will be portrayed that might help in that regard. First, she will not have a massive role. Second, she will NOT be cheating on anyone! Third, we are planning on adding to her character and having her venture into uncharted shipping waters. Trust me; we will make Sky enjoyable to read about. :)

Moving on, now we have introduced Cameron, Brick, and Shawn! Naturally, we look forward to seeing your thoughts on how we have portrayed these great guys!

Also, as far as it planned, Sugar will not be appearing again. Please contain your disappointment. ;)

Now for some translations, this time instead of Ausse slag to English, it's Southern English to Standard English, the exception of a side-trip into video game-ense. Lol

"Moon-cricket" is a Southern racial slur, one that is usually aimed at African-Americans. According to both the Urban Dictionary and the book The Construction and Rearticulation of Race in a Post-racial America by Christopher J. Metzler, the term moon-cricket is "Derived from early slave times when black people would come out at night and sing slave songs under the moonlight like crickets."

A "boomer" is a zombie type that's featured in the Left 4 Dead video game series. They are huge, bloated, and disgusted undead causing pain and horror wherever they go by puking up bile on people and exploding into masses of bile-filled internal organs upon death. So is it at all shocking that Shawn would compare Sugar to one? ;)

"Possum eating a sweet potato" This is actual Southern phrase and for its meaning, here's a quote from a website that's all about explaining such sayings, "For a scavenger accustomed to a diet of bugs, slugs, and road kill, having a fat, juicy sweet potato to gorge on is like winning the lottery."

"So full of shit her eyes are brown" This is another Southern saying, but I think the meaning is quite clear.

Before ending this chapter, I just want to say that I have started on the next chapter of this story but my upcoming summer job means it might be a little bit before its ready. Please be patent. As always, Kenju and me will do our best to make it worth the wait!

Until next time, read, review, favor, follow, and spread the word! :)
