Shanks (You're The One I Want)
Buggy couldn't begin to fathom what any of this actually was. The soft touches. The gentle brushes of their lips. There was something about the way that Shanks looked underneath him with a flushed face that he loved. Even at the same time, he hated it. Mostly because he had no idea what it all was. It had randomly happened on night.
The night that the two of them were sitting on top of the cabins had been the first time anything had ever happened. Just before the incident. Shanks was drunk and Buggy had found himself lingering over the top of the red head with his hands on either side of his head. He wanted to say he wasn't sure who moved first, but it had been him. He had leaned down, pressing his lips into Shanks'. Shanks had moved into it, legs wrapping around his waist, arms around his shoulders.
It was like a turning point.
Until it wasn't.
After Shanks had ruined everything for him, he had been so angry. Buggy couldn't swim anymore. Lost his treasure map to the treasure that would have sealed his future.
It had pissed him off.
Still, it didn't seem to change the late nights when he found find himself in the same position.
A part of him didn't want to lose Shanks, but at the same time, he never wanted to see him again.
His life would be better without him.

It felt like they were going at lightspeed as of recently. It had been almost two years since then and nothing had changed. They still ended up running off together, just for a moment of quiet between the two. Buggy would hoist up Shanks by his hips. Those tanned legs wrapping around his waist. It made his stomach twist. He wasn't even sure if it was in a good way or a bad way. Just that, all he cared about was the fact that Shanks gave his body to him.
Buggy believed at least, he deserved something for the fact that Shanks had ruined his life.
He wasn't even gentle about it, but Shanks never seemed to care. Fingers curling into his arm, arms wrapped around his shoulders or nails racking down his back.
Which only helped to piss off Buggy more.
What was with him?

They had gotten into another one of their fights, and Buggy had screamed out the words that he never thought he would actually say, "I wish I never met you!"
The hurt that immediately came to Shanks' face had him recoiling. "Buggy…" Shanks whispered, "Please tell me you don't mean that."
"I do." Buggy immediately shot back, refusing to let any sort of guilt stop him now. "You have done more to irritate me and mess up my life than anything else! Get the hell out of my life!"
Shanks exhaled sharply, the tears coming to his eyes as he shook his head, "Okay." He whispered. His voice had sounded so broken as he turned, pushing past some of their nakama. Most specifically Oden and Roger.
"Shanks—" Roger started.
"Leave me alone!" Shanks shouted, taking off before anyone else could stop him.
For a moment, Buggy wanted to yell at him to come back. That he didn't actually mean it.
The other part won out as he huffed and turned, crossing his arms over his chest. Why did this hurt so much already?
"Buggy…" Roger said, his hand landing on Buggy's shoulder. "It's time for you to let it go. It's been over two years since that night. No amount of treasure or gold will ever amount to the lives of those special to you."
Buggy gritted his teeth. "He's not special to me."
"You can't lie to me, Buggy." The Captain replied. Buggy could hear the smile in his voice. "You'll see it one day. It's great to have money. Riches. True treasure is the people you surround yourself with."
The blue-haired teen just shook his head, "I would rather have treasure."

It had been almost a month since that day. Shanks had hardly actually stayed near him. Only being around him long enough to go to sleep in their shared room. Aside from that, Shanks had left him alone. It was the oddest feeling in the world and Buggy hated every second of it.
They had stopped for supplies, just getting a few things that they needed before they would be leaving. Buggy was with Shanks, Gaban, and Oden. Oden was up to his usual antics as they went throughout the town to the various shops. Shanks was further ahead than they were, looking around.
As they stopped at one stall, Buggy paused, his attention caught by Shanks' hand suddenly being taken. He narrowed his gaze.
An older teenager, probably not even a few years older than him and Shanks, had Shanks' hand pulled up to his lips as the red head looked at him with wide eyes. "I'm so sorry to interrupt you, but I just had to tell you how beautiful you are."
Shanks looked like he wasn't even sure what to say as he looked up at the other teenager. "Thank you?" Buggy growled, not thinking twice before he was walking over and grabbing Shanks' other hand, jerking him back. Shanks stumbled on his feet slightly before catching himself. "Buggy!"
"What kind of creep just grabs someone's hand like that?!" Buggy hissed, "Leave! He's taken!"
The teenager snorted, lifting his hands up, "Just telling him he's beautiful."
"Fine. Leave." Buggy hissed.
As the teenager walked away, Buggy turned, pulling Shanks along with him back in the direction of the docks. Buggy just shouted back to Oden and Rayleigh that they were heading back to the ship before they got far enough that the blue-haired teen took a hard right towards the forest.
"Buggy! What is your problem?" Shanks snapped the second they were out of earshot of anyone, jerking his wrist away. Buggy turned to look at him. Still feeling the anger coursing through his veins. He did not like someone else hitting on Shanks. He wasn't even sure why it mattered, but it did.
"He grabbed your hand. It was creepy." Buggy said instead.
"Didn't you say to get out of your life?" Shanks questioned, "Why does it matter if someone compliments me?"
Buggy growled, balling his fists for a second before he screamed out, "Because I want to be one to do it!" He stopped for a second to take a deep breath, sighing as he added, "I've… actually may have… missed you." He dropped his voice, his voice almost inaudible as he looked to the ground.
Shanks sighed, shaking his head, "It's not that simple, Buggy." Shanks whispered, turning, and walking away. Before he could make it a few steps, Buggy reached out and stopped him. "Buggy, let me go."
"I'm sorry!" Buggy exclaimed.
Shanks stopped, turning his head to look at him now. His eyes just as wide as they were earlier. "You're…"
"I never should have said that. My life is better with you in it." Buggy whispered. He missed Shanks. The never were a thing. Never had an official thing to what it was that they were doing. But Buggy missed him. "Shanks… I want you. I have these feelings that I don't know what they are, but I saw that guy and I wanted to hit him for even daring to touch you."
Shanks turned to face him fully, a soft smile coming to his face as he took a step forward. A soft smile on his face that had Buggy's stomach twisting. The soft flutter that came. Seeing that smile gracing Shanks' face. Directed at him.
"I say shit all the time. I call you bastard a lot. I know, but I want you in my life." Buggy added. "Forgive me."
Shanks smiled, reaching forward, and placing his free hand on Buggy's jaw, forcing him to look up. "I forgave you already. I was waiting for you."
Buggy felt the relief going through him as he leaned his forehead forward, "I don't want to lose you."
"You have me as long as if you want me." Shanks whispered.
Buggy wasn't even sure why he leaned in, pressing his lips into Shanks'. Something about this one was different. It felt so right. Before the ones they stole were always quick and felt like they didn't mean anything. There was more behind this one as Buggy dropped Shanks' hand, instead wrapping his arms around his waist to pull him off of the ground. The red head's now freed arm moved up to loop around Buggy's shoulders. A smile coming to his face. The blue-haired teen paused as he felt the wetness against his face.
He pulled back, noticing quickly that Shanks had tears in his eyes as he grinned. "What the hell is wrong with you?"
Shanks shook his head. "I'm fine. Just really happy."
Buggy snorted, shaking his head, leaning back in, and capturing Shanks' lips again. That was until Shanks broke it again seconds later. "I have something for you." He pulled away enough to reach into his pocket, pulling out an old, rolled up piece of parchment. "To repay you for what happened."
Buggy moved back, taking it from Shanks. Unrolling the parchment, his eyes widened as he jaw dropped. It was a treasure map.
"Where did you get this?" Buggy questioned.
Shanks smiled, looking down at it, "Before we had our fight last month. The pirate crew we fought. I found it there. It was in the Captain's jacket."
Buggy grinned, laughing as he wrapped his arms around Shanks again, spinning on his feet before he was placing the red head back on the ground. For a second, that night he ate the Devil Fruit came to mind. The night that he started to detest Shanks. He sighed, nodding, "Thank you, but I don't need this." He muttered.
Shanks looked at him with confusion, cocking his eyebrow. "What are you talking about? You love treasure."
The blue-haired teen sighed, "You're the only treasure I need."
Shanks laughed slightly, his face flushing over slightly. He leaned in again, connecting their lips again. "I love you, Buggy." Those words made Buggy's heart skip a beat as he kissed back. "You're still going to go looking for it. Aren't you?" Shanks mumbled against his lips.
Buggy chuckled and nodded.
"Figured."
Buggy felt Shanks' fingers curl into his hair, the smile on his face. "Shanks, you are the one I want. Always. I just need some treasure to get us started up."
Shanks laughed, throwing his head back, "Okay, fine."
"I'll buy you all the chocolate you want."
"Deal."

"Roger." Rayleigh said as he got up to where Roger was standing on the Oro Jackson, looking out to the woods. "You paid off that boy to flirt with Shanks."
"You can't prove anything." Roger replied.
Rayleigh laughed, shaking his head. "That is enough proof I need." He said, looking out to where Roger was. Through the tree line, they could see Buggy and Shanks. How happy the two of them looked. "We shouldn't be watching this."
"Probably not." Roger replied before he was turning and walking away, "They need to learn to be more secretive."
Rayleigh laughed, shaking his head. Apparently, Roger's little plan worked. He had figured it out the second Buggy and Shanks had walked off. Seeing the teenager flipping the berries in his hand and Roger's snickering that followed. "Guess your plan worked, Roger." He muttered. "Always meddling."
"I couldn't help it."
Rayleigh hummed, his gaze narrowing on the map in Buggy's hand. Apparently, it wasn't the only thing. He recognized the paper. "You didn't, Roger." Rayleigh said, turning to look at Roger.
Roger bit his lip, looking away for a second, "I may have planted it so Shanks would find it."
"For the love of Seas, Roger!" Rayleigh grumbled, sighing as he rubbed his palm over his face.
It was fine, he supposed. At least Shanks and Buggy would go back to normal now.
"I have ideas." Roger snickered, "Do you think they are too young for a pirate wedding?"
"YES!" The blonde exclaimed, "Oh my God! Roger, no!" He exclaimed as he rushed after Roger who was already starting to head down the gangplank. Roger's laughter coming next. "Leave them alone! Stop meddling for one damn second!"
"Yeah, no."
