Chapter 2: Starting a new life in another world
"So this is the view of Aibo Academy…" Theo said in amazement
"Do I have to use a uniform?" He asked
"Hmm I have some of my old clothes for now but as for what you were asking is Aibo a private school… Kinda…. Since it was an academy only people with skills or connection goes here." Tasuku answered one of Theo's answer
"So in buddyfights do the buddy police does that often?" The young wizard asked
"Depends on the situation is what I would say…" Tasuku said
"So my ability would be more useful in combat situations…" Theo puts on his thinking cap
"Exactly…" Tasuku answered
Both of them keeps talking until they arrive at Tasuku's household/apartment and they went in
"Impressive." Theo looked impressed by what he saw as Tasuku has a large space that can fit more people in
"But wait where is Bunker?" He thought
"He is checking the vending machine outside." Jack informed as Bunker gone back drinking some ice bottled green tea surprising him
Warn me next time…" Theo looked at him
"Sorry the vending machine took my attention…" Bunker said
"How did you have money?" Theo asked
"Jack give me some…" Bunker said
"Next time don't wonder anywhere by yourself." Theo looked worried for his buddy
"Got it…" Bunker said
"Tsurb Aet!"
Theo being the mischievous wizard he is trick bunker and the green tea begins to burst up and goes right into Bunker face
"Theo!" Bunker shouted as they did a bit of a cat and mouse scene as Jack and Tasuku just sighed
"So what are we eating tonight I can cook if you don't mind?" Theo asked
"No need I was invited to eat at Gao's family I mean both of you can join…" Tasuku said
"Gao hmm who is he?" Bunker asked
"My friend from the 6th division of Aibo." Tasuku said
"Is it okay?' Theo asked
"He wouldn't mind." Tasuku smiled
"I'm going for the bathroom first!" Bunker shouted
"Wait up!" Theo shouted as both of them gets ready as they get together in the bath
"Bunker why did you choose me?" He asked
"Hmm I honestly didn't know but I think we are close…" Bunker said
"Sorry for getting your armor wet." Theo apologized to the armor dragon
"No worries kid…" Bunker said calmly
As both of them are done for the bath Theo doesn't have clothes to wear other than what he has so he uses magic to conjure up his outfit it was a casual clothes consist of a violet t-shirt that has the drum bunker dragon logo with dark blue jeans and dark color shoes
"I'm ready let's go…" Theo said as both of them comes out from the room
"Ah both of you are ready as well let's head out." Tasuku said as he is in his usual attire along with Jack
After a while they arrived at the Mikado Residence as tasuku rings the door bell
"Senior Tasuku you've come and who is this?" Gao asked
"I'll explain inside…" Theo said
As a bit of time pass the 6 of them are on the living room
"And that is what happens." Tasuku explained on what is happening and who theo is
"So you are Theo Drake. I am Mikado Gao. They call me the sun fighter and this is my buddy Drum." Gao introduced his buddy
"Your jacket is cool…" Theo looked at it again
"Thanks…" Gao smiled
"I've never seen a bunker dragon with violet hair and armor before…" Drum said as he looked at Bunker's armor
"This happens because of my buddy's magic hmm so the drum bunker dragon has not change much huh." Bunker looked closely at Drum
"Hey not so close." Drum said
"Oh yeah one question why do you need to bring it along?" Theo asked to Bunker as he saw the drill
"Just a precaution and before you ask do we need a permit no we don't I got asked a lot." Bunker sighed
"Brother, Mom is asking for you to help prepare the food." His sister comes in and then bewildered by the two drum bunker dragon
"There is two of them?!" She looks shocked
"Meet Drum and Bunker while this is his buddy Theo." Gao said
"I'll be helping my mom in a bit." Gao goes to the kitchen
"I'll help." Tasuku followed him
"Woah this shirt is cool!" Gao's little sister looks at Theo's outfit
"Thank you little girl now let me show you some neat trick." Theo said as he does a simple trick and there happens to be a sun flower right behind Gao's sister head
"Ta~ Da~!" Theo said as Gao's sister is amazed
"That is cool!" She said as Theo puts the sunflower into her left top ear
"My name is Drum Bunker Fang Terrestrial XIV." Drum introduced himself properly
"So Fang terrestrial sub clan has emerge huh." Bunker said
"You are talking like my old man…" Drum said
"Food is ready…" Gao shouted as all of the buddy monsters are in place in the leaving room and they begin to eat
"Want to have an eating challenge?" Bunker asked
"You are on…" Drum said
Both of them begins to eat in large quantities while Theo, Gao and Tasuku just sighed and jack is just eating like usual
"That was delicious…" Theo said as he was getting pretty full complimenting gao's mom food
"I am glad you like it." smiled
"I win!" Bunker shouted
"Drum, Bunker you shouldn't eat too much ice cream or in 3… 2… 1…" Theo countdown as both of their head freeze
"Brain Freeze!" Both of them get their heads up as they are frozen in place
"I will be taking the pudding…" Jack said as he is eating the last pudding
"No way…" Both Bunker and Drum looked at Jack eating the pudding
Before both of them goes to sleep later on both Theo and Bunker talks out
"That was nice of Hanako gao's little sister and his family…" Theo said
"Yeah let's just go to sleep tomorrow is your first day."Bunker said
"Right…" Theo smiled
The next day Theo and Bunker arrived early after having a breakfast with Jack and Tasuku
"So where to go today?" Theo asked as he didn't know where to go next
Meanwhile (30 Minutes Earlier)
"So how are you going to combat your fights today? You know what will happen when you lose right?" Ace adopted dad said as they are sitting facing each other
"Ace will win…" His buddy on like a magician outfit said
"I expect good thing in this fight and will you have a word?" His dad said as he looked at a girl she is seen to have a pink orangish hair
"Just don't lose and made it a homerun…" The girl said
"Got it sis." Ace smiled
"Then we'll be off Ka-Ka." The wizard dragon goes into Ace's deck core case He always calls people by their back nickname or some ridiculous back name
"I make some bento so dig in later on lunch…" As the responsible sister she is she always look out of his little brother
"I am going to be late… See ya sis…" Ace said as he goes on to open the door of the car and leave for school
"He sure is happy going to school than usual…" The girl just smiled
"Yes…" His dad said
"But that is what I am worried about…" His sister said as the car starts off and went on it's way
"Theo!" Ace shouted as he runs his way to him
"What are you doing this early?" Theo asked as he saw Ace
"I always come this early…" Ace said
"Um… I don't know where to go from here…" Theo said
"We still got time to chill." Ace said
They talk a bit about the school and how it works and both of them goes to the faculty office
"Teacher I brought you the new student well then I'll be going to class…" Ace smiled as the teacher walk him through a bit of the process
Theo got to his classroom and it was Ace's class
"But no buddy monster either you put him into your deck for the rest of the class or they can go elsewhere." The teacher warned
"Fine…" Bunker said as he goes into Theo's deck case
"I am Theoros Drake you can call me Theo I am a transfer student from the overseas hope we all can be friends." Theo introduced himself
"Hmm you can sit beside…." The teacher said and looked at the empty seat beside Ace
"You can sit there…" The teacher said as Ace just waved
At lunch time both of them goes into the rooftop where most of the gang always follow up on each other
"let me out kid!" Bunker shouted as he goes out from his deck
"Theo!" Gao shouted as he waved at Theo
"So he is what you are talking the other day…" Baku the person who is the same class as Gao said as he heard it from Gao first hand
"There will be a 6th and 7th grade exhibition match today is Tetsuya and Ace just what are you going to pull out?" Baku asked to Ace
"About that…. Gao can I borrow drum just this time?" Ace pleaded
"I don't mind but it's all up to drum." Gao said as drum appeared in his buddy form
"I might as well do it but you have to give me 2 weeks worth of pudding." Drum said
"1 week of pudding and I'll do gao's math homework for the week." Ace tried to negotiate with the armor dragon
"Fine it's a deal… Be thankful kid I cut your homework." Drum said
When the fight takes in Gao and the others are seating quite close to each other
"I want to root for Drum so bad but I also wants Tetsuya to win!" Gao is conflicted on who he wants to win in this match
"Okay everyone it is what you are waiting for the first match of the exhibition! It is a match you all been waiting for wizards vs demons who will win on the right corner we have our enthusiast and the famous Asmodai and his buddy Kurodake Tetsuya!" Paruko went into her commentator mode
"Yo~! Yo~! Yo~!" Tetsuya begins to do his routine as he comes out
"Let's have fun all!" He shouted in excitement
"And on the right side we have the newly rookie buddy police, Ace and his buddy the one the only! Dragowizard, Qinus Axia!"
"It has been a while Ace…" Axia smiled
"Yeah…" Ace said in relief
"His buddy partner is Axia?" Gao looked surprise
"It has been a while since we had you Axia." Paruko said
"Let's just say I miss Gao-wow and I want to show off his buddy right drum-kins?" The dragowizard still gets a bit of a lovey dovey situation with drum
"Let's just get on with the match!" Drum shouted from Ace's deck
"Ahahaha…" Gao just sweat dropped
"He didn't change at all." Kuguru commented
"Just who is he?" Theo asked
"Um he was once my buddy replacing drum when he goes off to train in other worlds." Gao said
"Other worlds?' Theo asked
"Yeah the worlds is divided into mainly Dragon World who focuses in dragons, Magic World who mainly focuses on magic then there is Katana World who focuses in Ninja arts but there are a total of 7 worlds with their own unique advantages." Kuguru explained
"Both player please luminize your deck!" Paruko said
"A millennial Kingdom where you can play for ages! Luminize! Devil's millunium! Yo~!"
"Wizards, Dragons let's dazzle everyone with your maggic! Luminize! Drago Magic Selection!"
"Everyone you know the drill!"
"Let's buddyfight!"
"Open the flag!"
"I fight for Magic World Yo~!"
"I also fight for Magic World!"
Both of them open their flags and Tetsuya starts his opening hand
"I charge and draw." Tetsuya starts his turn
"First up I call Demon Realm Warrior Zepar to the centerand dazzle them with your hard rock show." The dance performer and proclaim magic world king starts his move which takes Ace life down to 8.
"That ends my turn yo!" Tetsuya said
"Tetsuya goes in for the two damage how will Ace give back to this?" Paruko asked
"Ladies and Gentlemen since Tetsuya has given on his opening hand then let me answer that with my own!" Ace said as he looked at the audience
"I draw then charge and draw!"
"Drago Wizard Rainbow horn to the center area."
"Let me handle this master axia and Ace," A dragon wizard appeared."
"Drago wizard burning wand to the left and finally to the right area Noble Magician, Suzuha." Ace called a monster to his right side it was a look a like of amano suzuha but with the robe and everything
"Is that Suzuha senior?" Gao is amazed but confused at the same time
"That is the adventurer speciality they can go off worlds." Drum said from the deck
"Is there someone that looked familiar?" Theo asked
"The adventurer archetype takes almost the same as in our world but I never know that card exist." Baku said
"ohoho don't worry my sweet prince I am here at your request." The magician suzuha said
"I cast Nice one!" Ace said as he uses his gauge to draw cards
"This is where her ability comes in place." Baku commented
"Lineage of Heavensbell now receive my blessing my prince!" Ace draw a card as his top deck iis a spell
"She is really helpful at a time like this." Axia said
"I activate burning hand ability let's show them fireworks." Ace said as suddenly a fireball begins to appear in front of Tetsuya and burns up dealing 1 damage that decreases his life by 9.
"That stings." Tetsuya said
"Now let's go suzuha.." Ace said
"Time to be reiterate. Take this!" Suzuha destroyed the center area
"Follow up rainbow hand!" Ace shouted
"Rainbow staff!" Rainbow hands hit directly at Tetsuya dealing 2 damage and Ace ends his move
"I draw then charge and draw I cast nice one and draw 2 cards then I call gamigin to the left." Tetsuya said
"As usual Here you go Solomon Great Barrier." Gamigin set a set spell that turns size 2 monster of 72 pillars into size 1
"Dance Asmodai to the center…"
"Shall we dance?"
Tetsuya draws a card and then he buddy called
"And my favorite buddy! Demon Lord Asmodai right buddy call!"
"Demon Back Drop!"
"Demon lord Asmodai is in the house!" Asmodai shouted as he destroyed burning wand
"Gamigin go and clear the center yo!" Tetsuya said
"Yo! Yo! Yo!" Gamigin destroyed the center and both asmodai's deal damage to Ace he seems to smile at the desperate situation
"The stage is set but my gauge is the problem." Ace thought his game plan and his hands
"Axia are you ready?" He asked
"I'm always ready Ace…" Axia winked
"I buddy call to the right area Drago Wizard Axia."
"Here I go!" Axia said as the stage is set
"That is his buddy monster." Theo said as he saw how Ace fights
"Now you will pay for it!" Axia deals damage to Tetsuya leaving his life back to 7
"I cast key of Solomon first volume and suzuha if you wouldn't mind?" Ace said as he reveal the top card and regain a draw
"I call Drago wizard magician drum to the left area!"
"Drum?!" Paruko shouted in amazement
"Right in the house Dragowizard, Magician Drum is on stage!" Drum appeared while he gives his welcoming act
"Dragowizard Magician drum just what ability does he have?" Theo thought
"I cast Gotcha!" Ace said as he cast the spell but even if he does it wouldn't be enough to activate drum's ability
"Then I cast key of Solomon second volume I gain 1 life and since I cast key of Solomon first volume I draw a card." He relied on his next draw
"I cast never say never!" Even thought he didn't get the draw effect it was enough to make his gauge into three
"We lost it here tetsu…" Asmodai said
"Drum's ability activate!"
"Crash! Mega Blast Bunker!"
Drum clears out the center and deals 4 damage to Tetsuya
"Let's finish this drum-kins." Axia said as they link attack on Tetsuya dealing the last 3 damage
"It's game end and the winner is Ace…" Paruko announced
"That tesuya guy is good." Theo said
"Awww I lost." Tetsuya said after the match where Ace was with him
"Maybe next time…" Ace smiled
"Are you this energetic? Kurodake Tetsuya right?" Theo asked
"That's me and you are?" Tetsuya asked
"I am theoros drake and this is my buddy bunker, the drum bunker dragon." Theo said as both of them shake hands
"Next time if you are using that form I'll show you how magic works." Theo said as if challenging drum
"You're on kid!" Drum said as both of them are in heated gaze
"I have to take this call if you don't mind." Ace said as his phone rings as he was out of the others reach he pick it up
"Congrats on your win!" Ace sister loud voice can be heard
"Thank you…" Ace said
"You almost lost there…" His sister said
"I mean without drum we might have lost Ka-ka!" Axia shouted
"Let's talk later and I'll treat you pudding." His sister smiled and turns off the call
"See ya sis?" Ace wondered
That night after Bunker and Theo had their dinner Theo seems to recall something from the fight it was a clear view of dragon world but it is in static
"Bunker after the first day of this I feel like this isn't the first time we met…" Theo said
"We're already talking about that?" Bunker asked
"It has been bugging me for a while…" Theo said
"Do you want to use magic and saw your mind?" Bunker asked
"Yeah if you don't mind we are buddy after all and I just want your cooperation." Theo looked at Bunker and bunker looked at him back
"I won't mind I was also curious why am I able to meet you anyway?' Bunker asked as if this was a dejavu
"Then let's begin…" Theo said as they are in their room and they are now in Dragon World for some unknown reason
"This is…" Bunker said
"Dragon World…" Theo said as he looked on the surroundings
Buddyfight corner
"This is Ace and Tasuku buddyfight corner." Ace said
"Today's buddyfight corner is a card called never say never."
"It is a spell from mgaic world that adds 2 cards to gauge use this card if you are in trouble especially if you are in a pickle."
Tasuku explained as Ace looked at the card clearly
"Never say Bam!" Ace said as Tasuku laughed a bit
