"I thought I let go because I understood love"
He wasn't quite sure what emotion was in his heart at the moment.
He had always been one to be upfront but as many people tell him again and again through the years. He was quite stupid in the ways of emotional love.
He had at one point understood the attachment and feelings he placed solely on that man but he was also quick to deny it all to friendship and rivalry.
He had swallowed back all such halfhearted thoughts and focused on a better future. That man had too didn't he? It wasn't the ending they all wanted but it was a feasible life. It was normal and everything he fought to protect.
So why did news of him bringing home another woman and child twist him inside?
Sure he wanted to punch his handsome face for the pain he was about to bring one of his best friend and their kid but if he was honest, it was for more than that.
"Hokage?"
Naruto glanced up at the man standing by the door.
"Send them in," He said suppressing an outburst of emotions. He was mature now, there was no need to get physical right now like a child.
After all, this situation had nothing to do with him personally… or did it?
