"Side characters should mind their own business"

Shikamaru knew this all had NOTHING to do with him but why were his senses strung so high after seeing the boy being carried by Sasuke and a pretty woman walking behind Sasuke?

A slight headache could even be felt at the moment as he thought of what the aftermath of this could be.

After all, it wasn't uncommon for a man to have someone outside and with the amount of time Sasuke spends outside the village, it only went on to confirm his suspicion that the man was raising a family outside as well.

A slightly bitter taste flashed in him though at the thought that he spent more time outside with this family than Sarada and Sakura.

Shikamaru sighed slightly as he waited for Sasuke to tell him something. He should've known there was going to be nothing but problems with the main gate today after he was assigned to patrol with the new recruits.

"I'm bringing my family back," Sasuke said bluntly.

Though it fell in line with his thoughts, Shikamaru still felt as if someone punched him hard in the gut.

"Do they know?" Shikamaru asked.

"Not yet," Sasuke said

Shikamaru just stared at the solemn man in slight disbelief. If they didn't then why the hell are you gonna surprise them like this?!

Granted the girl slightly behind Sasuke was beautiful in her own right. Her black hair was wrapped in a low bun and her clear red eyes reminded him of his teacher's wife Kurenai.

'Whatever… it's not my head anyways…' Shikamaru thought.

Running a hand past his hair, he tilted his head for Sasuke to follow. "We should report to the Hokage first right?"

"Un," Sasuke agreed.

Obviously, this man forgot he married a monster strength of a woman if he was blatantly flaunting this striking son and wife.
