Sorry
"I think you have made yourself clear
I know and I'm sure
That you don't regret"- Jay Chou- Silence
"Eight huh," Naruto uttered staring off to where Tachi was sitting beside his mother and talking to Sarada. He came off as an attentive older brother at the moment.
"I really thought you had brought back a family though," Naruto said glancing at the man beside him.
"I did," Sasuke bit out.
Naruto sighed and rubbed his head. "Just how stubborn are you gonna be?"
"I didn't say anything when you decided to get married," Sasuke pointed out.
"I know," Naruto said with a frown. "Although you sent your congratulations, you didn't return."
"Unlike some people, I can't fake a smile as I watch the man I love marry someone else," Sasuke said bluntly.
"You knew nothing could come from it," Naruto whispered.
"Nothing can come out of something not fought for," Sasuke said turning to walk away. "You chose a normal family so I did as well."
"Sorry…"
Sasuke continued as if he hadn't heard it.
Naruto's hands fisted tightly as he watched Sasuke walked away. He could say nothing to that. What Sasuke did now has nothing to do with him but still, he wanted to monopolize the man all to himself.
'I'm so selfish,' Naruto thought angrily before turning his own way. They had always been more action than words.
"Dad," Sarada said seeing him approach.
Sasuke reached out and poked her forehead in greeting and glanced at Tachi who covered his own forehead in case Sasuke decided he wanted to poke his as well. A slight turn at the tips of Sasuke's mouth showed his amusement at his nephew's reaction.
'How much better would you be now with your father?' Sasuke thought as he stared silently at Tachi.
"Tachi, come with me," Sasuke said and turned towards the woods.
"Mom," Tachi uttered with a glance.
Asuka nodded slightly and turned back to Sakura.
"Mom," Sarada started as well with a slight pout to Sakura.
"Dad will talk to you later," Sakura said with a slight smile to her daughter as she beckoned her daughter over.
"Is Tachi dad's son?" Sarada asked Asuka straightforwardly. Her dark eyes studied Asuka's red ones intently.
"Tachi is your father's nephew," Asuka explained with a gentle smile. "I've never met your father until recently."
"Do you miss him?" Sakura interrupted the conversation
Asuka smiled and stared off into the distance with a nod. "Everyday,"
Sakura stared at Asuka in slight interest but inside jealously still raged. She was a perfect wife and yet fate dealt her a bad hand.
"Do you know about Izumi?"
Asuka turned back to face Sakura.
"Who?"
"Uchiha Izumi," Sakura repeated. "Itachi's childhood sweetheart and most likely candidate to be his wife."
