Secrets

"I knew I would get hurt and couldn't let go, it's my mistake" –Mistake- SNSD

"Tell me how," Sasuke asked Tachi as they walked through the forest.

"After the war, there were many people who tried to take advantage of a woman and child on their own," Tachi explained. "I've seen things that you wouldn't have expected me to see."

"Have you killed?" Sasuke asked stopping to stare at Tachi.

Tachi glanced up with his dark eyes that so closely resembled his father. It hid everything in those dark eyes. "Yes,"

"You're not trained though…but yet-" Sasuke bent down to look at Tachi. "You are a beginner aren't you?"

"I'm sorry," Tachi said with a slight sigh. "Uncle, my mother is a kunoichi and though my father didn't even know of my existence, he knew of my uncle's."

"Uncle?" Sasuke questioned.

"My mother had a younger brother as well," Tachi explained. "It's that uncle that kept getting up into trouble."

"Your father…" Sasuke started

"I've seen him," Tachi nodded. "Mom's specialization is in Genjutsu."

"Then you know..."Sasuke felt his eyes blur for a second.

"Mother does not like the curse of the Uchiha's," Tachi stated, "So don't tell her about it."

"When my uncle died, I awakened my eyes," Tachi said truthfully to Sasuke.

"Your mother-"

"I am the son of two highly skilled Genjutsu parents," Tachi said with a small smile. "The trauma of seeing me like that… I sealed it from my mother."

Sasuke pulled Tachi closer to hug him. "How much?"

"I'm not as familiar with the eyes as you would be," Tachi said. "But I do know that the more I use it, the more of a problem I have with my eyesight."

Sasuke's eyes widened. "So young to have awakened mangekyō,"

The trauma must've been extensive if it was what he speculated it to be.

"Don't tell your mother anymore," Sasuke said softly as he stood and placed his hand on his nephew's head. Itachi would've been disappointed in him for allowing his son to suffer this way.

"You'll tell me more about it?" Tachi asked.

Sasuke nodded. "Let's go back before they suspect more,"

Tachi agreed and they walked back silently. He'd never experienced the care of a father figure in his life before. The feeling of having someone to talk to and rely on was nice. It was different from having his mother's support.

Asuka smiled as she placed a hand over Sakura's.

"It is what it is so I don't have a problem with you hating me."

Sakura didn't respond but her eyes strayed to her husband's face. Something was off.

She knew that slightly pondering look he had. The few times she had seen it on his face meant he was leaving for one reason or another and she wouldn't be privy to the details of whatever mission he was running.

At those times, she was extremely jealous of Naruto. He knew about Sasuke's whereabouts all the time. They kept in close contact and though she mentally knew it was for the better of the village, she emotionally couldn't accept it well.

In that case, Asuka was extremely correct in naming her a jealous maniac.

Though she had physically and somewhat mentally matured, there was still the tidbit of her jealous nature in her thoughts.

"Should we go home?" Sakura asked as they neared.

He shook his head. Fuck.

"Tachi and I are headed over to Naruto's," Sasuke stated. He poked his daughter's forehead. "I'll be home later."
