(Garen - PoV)
Standing at the head of the legion, I stare ahead at the fortress before us.
Eastwatch. I've spent plenty of time on the other side of the walls...now I am going to be bringing them down.
We make no attempt to hide our approach. I want them to know I am coming. Even at the best of times they couldn't stop us. With recent events?
I shake my head.
Swain says they even pulled the usual detachment of the Dauntless Vanguard from the defenses to deal with internal problems.
They are dead men.
I begin walking forward, my stride slow as the army forms up behind me. They will advance when they are ready.
The trip here was uneventful, the men eager for battle. Almost as eager as Lux.
I hope she knows what she is getting into, but I cannot blame her. The yearning for battle...it burns in me, as I never felt as a Demacian.
Morgana's cooking skills have been wonderful for morale, she is quite adept even outside of her bakery. She beams each time Lux praises her Big Sis.
A smile forms on my face at the thought of a new sister to fight for. Another reason to break the fools before me.
My pace picks up as the legion begins to slowly advance behind me.
The men on the walls before of us begin to fire.
Their weapons do nothing, not to a Champion at their peak.
Backhanding a particularly well-aimed ballista bolt, I hear Lux start cheering behind me, and cannot help my own laughter.
Ah, but that's close enough. They know well who I am by now.
Dashing forward, I finish closing the gap in moments.
Scaling the walls is well within my abilities. Instead my sword slams into the Gatehouse, shattering the stone structure, sending blocks larger than men flying in all directions, bringing the entire fortified multi-story building down, and dragging much of the surrounding walls down as well.
A good start.
The towers are ignored. Katarina will silence them before the Legion arrives, so they may capture them intact.
A flick of my sword clears a path, and I advance through the rubble.
Lux's lasers light up the sky behind me. I hope she's having fun clearing the walls.
The inner areas are in disarray, the men meant to keep it secure having been scattered and crushed by falling masonry. The keep lies before me.
I meet no resistance as I stroll across the courtyard of the primary keep guarding against Noxian invasion. How disappointing. Grasping the thick iron gate in front of the doors, I rip it out of the way, before kicking open the thick, barred Ironwood doors.
I notice blood smeared along the walls as I step inside. Looks like some poor bastards were standing guard inside the doors. Short straws for everyone today.
The sounds of booted feet echo through the halls as I make my way through the keep towards the command room, eventually revealing their owners set up in a defensive position around a pair of ballista.
Finally stopping for a moment, I eye them with a raised brow.
"It's not going to work, you know," I tell them.
"Loyal men won't fall to the likes of you traitor!" the Captain screams. "Fire!"
My sword parries one bolt, and my free hand catches the other to the shock of many of the men.
I examine the massive bolt for a moment, before throwing it back hard enough to impale the Captain through the wall.
The men look far more hesitant now, but it is too late. They had their chance to run.
I dash forward and with one spin the entire room is dead and both ballista are destroyed, the center of the room completely clear.
From there, my walk through the keep continues unimpeded. I don't even bother to break step for the small groups of men I encounter after that. Eventually, I find the command room, with the local Commander. An older, balding man with hard, grey eyes.
"Garen." He addresses me, voice hard.
"Not going to surrender?" I ask.
I doubt it. He was always a hardliner. And an ass, to be honest.
He was much of the reason no one liked being posted here.
"To traitorous scum? Never," he answers with a vicious glare.
Nodding, I grab him by the throat and drag him through his office and out onto his balcony, ignoring his useless flailing.
"Soldiers of Demacia! I am Garen Crownguard! This is your Commander!"
I lift him out over the edge before slowly, but casually, squeezing the life out of him, the ruined body slipping from my grasp as my fist closes entirely.
"He is no more. Flee or surrender, Eastwatch belongs to Noxus now. All who resist will join him in death."
Surveying the battles below, many retreat, or throw down their weapons, but there are a few holdouts. Picking one out, with a twist I leap over the parapet.
"To me! For Dema-"
The no doubt inspirational speech is cut off when the man trying to rally his fellows is crushed into a pile of meat and broken bones as I land on him.
One wide swing and those he rallied to him vanish in a spray of blood and limbs.
The Noxian soldiers surrounding them blink at me, suddenly covered in blood.
I nod to them. "Keep going men, secure the area."
"Uh, y-yes sir!"
They disperse, while I look for more men to kill.

Sitting on top of the cart with Annie and Morgana, I hum and kick my legs while we listen to the music box.
"It's catchy, isn't it?"
"Uh-huh," Annie agrees.
A great tune, I'll have to find more from the musician.
Oh! I spot another crossbowman on the wall trying to line up a shot.
Laser Beam!
Hah!
"How many is that?" I ask.
"Umm, 13?" replies Annie.
"Mmm, not too bad. Took a bit to get my aim down, even with the more accurate forms Big Sis taught me." I admit.
The first few shots were...really bad.
I may have gotten frustrated and just blown up a whole tower, even though we are supposed to keep them intact. Kat might yell at me later.
"Are you sure I can't shoot the ones running away?" I ask Morgana again.
They look like really easy targets and there are soooo many.
"I would appreciate it if you didn't dear," she says, running her fingers through my hair.
I sigh.
"Fiiiine."
We can always kill them all later. Not like they will really make any difference anyway, just being cannon fodder.
"Sorry you don't really get to play this time Annie, maybe later?" I apologize.
"It's ok, it's fun just sitting with you guys!" she says cheerfully.
Smiling, I pull her in for a hug.
She has a point. It's great having friends.
