In the Power Chamber Billy and Alpha were running some diagnostics when an alarm suddenly blared.
"Zordon, Alpha, what is it? Is Angel Grove under attack?" Billy asked.
"Ai-yi-yi-yi-yi! A giant robot has appeared in the park!" Alpha exclaimed.
"That is not all Billy" said Zordon. "Just before the robot appeared I sensed a tear in the dimensional fabric."
"Then the robot came from another dimension?" Billy asked.
"That is correct" Zordon replied. "Alpha, contact the Power rangers immediately."
"Yes Zordon." He tapped the control panel but nothing happened. "Ai-yi-yi-yi-yi! The dimensional tear is interfering with our communications! We can't contact the Rangers!"
The Power Rangers were currently enjoying a break from their duties with a day out at Angel Grove Park. Tommy and Rocky were on the basketball court playing one-on-one while Kat, Tanya and Adam watched eagerly.
"Go Tommy!" Kat yelled.
"Get him Rocky!" Adam called.
Tommy jumped up and threw the ball at the hoop but Rocky intercepted it and ran past him while dribbling the ball.
"Heads up Tommy. Here comes a Rocky Special" he said with a broad grin.
But just as he was about to throw the ball there was a brilliant flash of yellow light overhead that dazzled them all. As the Rangers eyes began to clear they all heard the roaring of powerful engines. They looked up to see a giant robot flying through the sky.
"Another one of Mondo's monsters!" Tommy exclaimed. "We've got to stop it before it destroys Angel Grove. Ready guys?"
"Ready" the others answered.
"All right then, it's Morphing Time!"
"Zeo Ranger 1- Pink!"
"Zeo Ranger 2- Yellow!"
"Zeo Ranger 3- Blue!"
"Zeo Ranger 4- Green!"
"Zeo Ranger 5- Red!"
In a burst of multicoloured light the five of them morphed into the Zeo Rangers. Wasting no time, they all yelled, "We need Zeo Zord Power now!"
At once the Zeo Zords were summoned and the Rangers teleported into their cockpits. As soon as he appeared at the control of Zeo Zord 5 Tommy said, "All right, let's bring it together everybody! Zeoniser crystal power-up! Initiate Zeo Megazord now!"
The five Zords quickly combined into the Zeo Megazord with the Rangers assembled in the cockpit. They all proclaimed, "Zeo Megazord ready for action!"
By now the other robot had landed. They saw that it had a feminine appearance with a mainly red and white colour scheme with yellow accents. A pair of yellow antennae extended from either side of its head.
"Be careful guys. This one seems different from Mondo's usual monsters," said Kat.
"It's okay. We can take it" Rocky replied.
Sitting at Venus A's controls, Sayaka watched in astonishment as the five Mechanical Beasts combined together to form a single giant humanoid. "I've never seen them do that before" she commented.
In fact, the combined version didn't seem like a Mechanical Beast at all. It seemed more like a giant robot like Mazinger Z. Regardless, it was clear from the way it was approaching with its fists raised that she had a fight on her hands.
"Come on. Let's see how you fare against Venus A" she said confidently.
The robot swung its fists at her in a series of haymakers, but she deftly bobbed and weaved out of the way of each one. She then responded with a quick flurry of punches to the robot's head and torso followed up a leaping knee strike to the face that sent it staggering back.
"Ugh, that thing's fast" said Adam as he and the other Rangers struggled to stabilise the Zeo Megazord.
"We need a new strategy," said Tommy. "Let's try the Zeo Battle Helmets. Kat?"
"Got it" she replied. "Zeo 1 Battle Helmet, activate."
Sayaka was surprised when the robot's helmet disappeared and was replaced by another helmet with a large cannon mounted on it. Despite that she was still quick enough to activate her robot's thrusters as the cannon fired a blast of energy. Venus A flew up into the air, dodging the blast completely.
"Photon Beam!" Sayaka called as she returned fire. Twin beams of pink light fired from Venus A's antennae and blasted the enemy robot in the chest, sending it reeling back again.
"We need to hinder its mobility," said Adam.
"I've got just the thing" said Rocky. "Zeo 3 Battle Helmet, activate."
A third helmet appeared on the robot's head, this one resembling a pyramid. A blue beam of light shot from it and formed a force field around Venus A, immobilising it in mid-air.
"Don't underestimate me" said Sayaka. "Z Cutter!"
Venus A flung its arms out on either side and the blades attached to its forearms were sent flying. They whirled through the air like boomerangs and sliced across the helmet, cutting deep into the metal. The force field disappeared and the blades flew back into place on Venus A's arms. Sayaka followed up with another Photon Beam. This time the other robot was blasted off its feet. It fell to the ground hard.
Sayaka hesitated, unsure whether or not to press the attack. It was possible that this was all just a misunderstanding. Before she could decide the downed robot disappeared in a beam of light, leaving no trace.
"What happened?" She was getting very confused now. Just then a light blinked on the console in front of her. Venus A was receiving a transmission. Sayaka eagerly opened the channel, hoping that the signal was from her father or Koji.
Instead, an unfamiliar voice said, "Unidentified robot are you receiving this, over." The accent was American but they spoke Japanese perfectly.
"This is Yumi Sayaka. I read you, over" she replied.
"I apologise for the attack on you. My friends mistook you for an enemy. We mean you no harm, over."
Sayaka relaxed a little on hearing that but didn't lower her guard, just in case. "All right. Who are you, over?"
There was a pause before the voice said. "We're going to bring you into our base Yumi-san. You're about to experience something unusual. Don't be alarmed, over."
"What do you…?" Sayaka was cut off as a white light filled her vision and she disappeared from Venus A's cockpit.
