(Garen - PoV)

Lux and I are looking out the window of our room in the palace.

With the handover complete, and no apparent flare ups of resistance, Swain, Darius, and Leblanc left with most of the elite troops. Before leaving, however, Swain asked us to remain a little longer as figureheads. While I was, and honestly still am, hesitant, Morgana wants to spend more time with her new mages, so we agreed.

They will be moving to Noxus eventually, but despite the enthusiasm of their breakout many are not in the best health and the medics are working overtime treating them. Annie and Morgana are out at their temporary camp while we sort out the logistics of returning them and most of the army back to Noxus.

"Well, here you are. Home sweet home. How does it feel?" Kat asks.

Frowning, I turn to her.

"This isn't home. Noxus is our home now. Your manor is home," I reply.

"Yeah!" Lux agrees, distaste marring her features. "I mean, sure, I was excited to come back, but that's because I thought I was going to get to wreck up the place. Instead, we got...this. Ugh. Are you sure we can't swing by and vaporize our old house at least?"

Kat rolls her eyes. "We could, but that would set a very bad precedent, and likely leave a poor impression of Noxian rule in general. I can arrange an accident for your parents, if you wish?"

We shake our heads.

"No, we talked about it. The embarrassment is worse for them than death. Having to live under Noxian rule now should make things even better. Worse? Whatever." I tell her.

"Oh, if you have a poison that cripples or really messes them up but doesn't kill them, that should be ok though!" Lux adds.

Looking over at my sister, I open my mouth...and close it without saying anything. She can be absolutely vicious when it comes to family...

"Oh, that can certainly be arranged. I have quite a few that could do the job." Kat smiles as she looks away, considering.

Lux fits into Noxus really well actually, doesn't she?

"Is there anything specific you prefer?" he redhead asks.

"Whatever is the most humiliating I guess? Really want that legacy tarnished! Tarnished I say!" Lux exclaims. "Oh, oh, and we will need a good explanation for why their health suddenly deteriorated!" She starts bouncing up and down next to me.

She is really excited. This is going to be embarrassing, isn't it?

"Since all the rumors are already going around, well, let's confirm them!"

Oh no.

She turns to me.

"Brother! I demand you take me to the fountain in front of our house where we shall have an absolutely wonderful make-out session in plain view! There will be fondling involved," she demands.

"Ok," I agree.

I might still be rather embarrassed by things, old Demacian values still clinging to me, but Lux means absolutely everything to me. I am never going to deny her. Especially if it means getting revenge against the last couple of available targets as well.

...Though if she demands we have sex in front of our parents I am out. This is already weird enough, I don't want to know how far she will go.

The amusement in Kat's eyes and the smile on her face implies she has no problems with this plan. Her smirk suggests she is about to make things worse for me but, fortunately, she is interrupted by a knock at the door.

We glance at each other. No one is expecting company.

"I'll answer," I assert.

Demacian assassination attempts are unlikely, but possible. Someone had to kill the King, and it wasn't us. And assassins tend to fair quite poorly against me.

It would be so...Demacian, to knock first.

I open the door to find Jarvan, Prince Jarvan, on the other side, in full regalia.

We stare at each other for several moments.

...

Well, this is awkward. We both acknowledged each other at the ceremony and have simply avoided the matter since.

"Well, who is it?" Kat asks, peeking around the door.

"Ah, the Prince. Well, don't just stand there, come in, come in."

...Right.

I step aside, allowing him entry.

Lux cocks her head to the side, watching him with a gleam in her eye that I don't like.

"Jarvan!" she declares, pointing her finger at him.

"Err...yes?" he answers hesitantly.

Probably not hesitantly enough, considering the danger that finger represents. I didn't think she held any particular grudge against him though? What is this about then?

"Kat said I can't disintegrate the Academy without your approval!" she announces.

Oh. I look at Kat, who has facepalmed. Yeah, passing the buck doesn't tend to work well with Lux.

"That's...good?" he replies, looking back and forth between her and Kat.

"Can I disintegrate the academy?" she asks.

"...please don't?"

"Aww." She droops, thankfully lowering her finger. I don't want to think about how many people we would upset if she decided to attack Jarvan right now.

"We do need it, and the place is rather expensive," he explains, conciliatory, before hesitating.

"...Though, now that I think on it..."

Lux perks up.

"I do recall that many of the students were rather extreme in their treatment of mages. If you are interested, we could do a demonstration in a couple of days, in front of the student body. Remind them exactly why it is a bad idea to anger mages. I can talk to some of the instructors and set something up. "

"Oooooh, do I get to use them as target practice?" Lux asks excitedly, vibrating in place, her eyes wide.

Oh, now there is an idea! They spit on her, she 'spits' back!

"I...you and Annie will get to blow things up. Morgana may get to use a few of the students in need of disciplinary action as target practice."

"Aww..."

"Killing them would only make the problem worse, not better..." he explains.

I scoff. Bah, politics. They dared to belittle my sister, they deserve nothing less. Actually, that reminds me. There were a few academy guards that dragged Lux away from home that I need to speak to...Given the political situation, I suppose a "quiet word" may be better, I don't want to strain things with Jarvan. I will ask Kat, it can be a bonding activity.

...I have the weirdest dates.

"Not if we kill them all!" Lux argues.

"I..." Jarvan shakes his head. "Anyhow, that wasn't what I came to talk to you about."

"Oh? A problem then?" Kat asks.

"Yes. Last night, Laurent escaped."

My eyes narrow.

Laurent, that scum. He was the one who started the proposal to send Vayne after us. And Kat says Swain believes him to be the ringleader behind a great deal of Demacia's recent corruption.

"Escaped? I expected the prison's security to be tightened after Sylas's little breakout?" Kat asks.

...Little. Sure. We'll go with that.

Jarvan grimaces. "To an extent. Against mundane forces, sure. But the mages did a great deal of damage, and with them defecting, and the Mageseekers wiped out, we lost most of our magical expertise beyond covering everything with petricite," he admits.

"We are still rebuilding much of it. An 'officially' unknown Champion level assailant using magic teleported in and broke him out before we could respond, easily taking out what resistance they encountered, but avoiding killing anyone. Unofficially, we are fairly certain it was Twisted Fate."

Unsurprising, I suppose, that Laurent would have ties to that criminal.

"What about the other councilors?" I ask.

"We still have them, but I am not going to bother holding them any longer. I was about to simply execute them myself when I remembered that you are still in town, and I did promise you justice. I know Sylas took those you wanted the most, but considering the Council sent Vayne after the two of you..."

I blink, momentarily surprised at the offer.

"Let me get my sword."

"Oh, oh, can I destroy their houses?" Lux asks.

She is bound and determined to destroy as much of Demacia as she can, isn't she?

"I...you know what, let me get back to you on that. We can probably justify seizing their properties. I hesitate to destroy perfectly good homes for no reason, but I will ask my advisors."

Lux sighs. "Allll right."

I shake my head as I go to get my gear. Kat languidly follows behind.

If it's the three of us, does this still count as a family outing?

And what does it say that our outing is an execution, however deserved...
