It had been a while since they decided to tie the knot. Junior and Laura, now both 25, were respectable adults with respectable jobs.
Laura worked in her Youth Ministry group (she'd majored in Biblical History in college with a minor in business). Junior (acting major, liberal arts minor) was now a screenwriter/actor for a number of films, playing roles that often deviated from the normal roles he'd take as a child actor—villain, hero, you name it. But both asparagus and carrot still took time for God, and themselves in their relationship.
Since the two decided to finally get married, a theme was clearly of the utmost importance. Laura had turned down Junior's 90's-themed wedding ideas (a fountain filled with Ecto-Cooler and Dunkaroo frosting…REALLY?!) but still wanted to keep the music, Junior turned down Laura's idea of having it in Tennessee, stating it should be "someplace awesome".
Eventually, while in bed together (not in that way) they decided on the location…
"How bout we go to HAWAII?!" Laura asked, looking up at her fiancé.
"Perfect!" The asparagus replied. "See, that's why I love you hon, you're smart AND beautiful!"
"Thanks, Junior.." Laura replied, smiling. "They'll take care of the theme for us over there, we should probably send out the invitations right away…"
