Princess Elsa of Arendelle is still in grief over the news of her parents' sudden death earlier that day. She has her back curled up against her ice-cold bedroom door, feeling a familiar feeling of dread taking over her once more as her ice powers go out of control, rendering her entire bedroom as frozen as her ice-cold heart.
.
.
.
Since that fateful incident of her ice accidentally striking the forehead of her sister in an attempt to protect her from jumping down the steep snow, Elsa has never felt comfort in her ice powers.
.
.
.
.
.
No longer can she feel the familiar feeling of comfort in her own cold.
.
.
.
.
.
Elsa closes her eyes in defeat, her folded arms held together tightly to herself in an attempt for comfort, amidst the whirlwind of emotions of fear and ice altogether, letting them both take over her frozen bedroom in her sleep.
.
.
.
.
.
.
She isn't aware of a certain white-haired winter spirit as he later appears before her, in her moonlit frozen room.
.
.
.
.
.
What she is aware of, however, is an unusually comforting warmth of frost on the exact moment the winter spirit begins to sit alongside her, so she sleepily shifts her weight and loosens the tight grip she has on her arms to better feel the source of the warmth.
.
.
.
.
.
And for the first time in nearly a decade of isolation, she was able to find comfort in the cold once more.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Although the mysterious warmth of frost she had felt that night disappeared the following day, and was never felt again until several years later, its disappearance had brought forth a newfound curiosity and a spark of hope within the ice princess...
.
.
.
.
.
...because she discovers that the area where she felt the warmth of frost hours ago has also left traces of unusual frosty, leaf-like patterns of ice, bearing a similar resemblance to the elegant, snowflake-like patterns of her ice powers.
.
.
.
.
.
Perhaps Elsa wasn't the only one with ice powers in her frozen room that night.
.
.
.
.
.

Author's Note:
I originally wrote this back in February as a wip idea for a jelsa fanart I'm planning to make in a few months. It was supposed to be a short description for the idea I had, but somehow it ended up becoming a short fic lol so I decided to post it here as well since I'm quite happy with what I wrote about this ship.
I don't usually write fanfics, so it took me longer than usual just to be able to find the words I wanted to convey about Jack and Elsa. Although it is a very short one-shot, I hope everyone enjoyed reading it!
