little percabeth one shot based off a song (:
" Your body's got me weak
You're Mozart in the sheets
You make a sinner out of me
I'ma need a priest "
Never let it be said that Perseus Jackson was not a good cook. His mother was the Sally Jackson. Cooking was her godly talent.
Percy gave that some thought, she really could be the god of cooking. He quickly shook his head, a lazy grin on his face.
It had been six years since The Seven had fought in the giant war. Annabeth and Percy had been married for a little over a year. Percy had to admit, being married to her was the best thing in the world.
He took a deep breath as he dumped a couple drops of blue food dye into the pancake batter. Okay, maybe more then a few drops but that was between him and the gods.
" And I'll be singing, Holy Mother of Moses
I just wanna buy you roses
Open every door that closes
And kiss you from your head to your toeses "
Annabeth and Percy had both gone to college in New Rome and graduated surprisingly. Well not very much surprisingly when it came to Annabeth but when it came to him? Whew, he had panicked more then once thinking about it. Percy now spent most of the year teaching mythology and history at NYU but spent his summer at Camp Half-blood teaching swordplay.
He hummed softly along to the country song playing in the background. Now I know what you're thinking. 1. Percy, you're a demigod. Why do you have access to Technology? Well Leo is extremely talented, let's leave it at that.
And 2. Really? Country music? Listen, hear him out. It made him think of Annabeth. Can you blame him?
Speaking of Annabeth, she had become a really famous architect. Like... really famous. Percy didn't understand he just knew that she was the man of the house. He didn't mind, he was more then happy to sing Moana and have dinner ready by 6pm.
" I like your soul, baby
You got that heart made of gold, baby
I'm gonna love you 'til I'm old, baby
I just wanna be your baby "
Percy grinned brightly as he laid the batter on the pan. He was shuffling slightly in his blue plaid pajama pant and 'Kiss the Chef' apron. Annabeth had got him it for his 24th birthday and he was ecstatic.
He had a slight stubble growing on his face. He resembled his father a whole lot. He never heard the end of it from Athena when she showed up for her smart architect planning with his wife. Athena hadn't been to happy with him but ultimately he gained his favor when he went on a quest for permission to marry Annabeth.
Annabeth had nearly strangled him when she realized why he had gone on the quest but then she kissed him and said yes and it was all better. And now here he was, cooking her breakfast. He was hoping to give it to her in bed but knowing his Wise Girl she was probably already up and about getting ready for the day.
Which was partially true. She was up but she was much more content to watch the doofus she called her husband dance around singing some random song. It made her heart warm to see the man so carefree.
They had been through so much. If you asked her 10 years ago if she saw where she would be, she'd probably say dead. Instead she was watching her best friend and her husband, all in one, dancing to some cheesy love song.
She was very tempted to wrap her arms around his waist and watch him cook but decided that watching him dance was much better.
" I like your soul
I like your soul
Don't need to be undressing
To feel like you're impressing
Must have died and gone to heaven
Go on and take me to confession "
When Percy Jackson turned around he was not afraid to admit he screamed like a little girl when he saw Mrs. Jackson. She tilted her head back and laughed loudly. Her princess blonde curls bouncing.
Now listen, Percy had seen many goddesses. He had seen many fairly attractive men and women but as he watched his wife he had to admit, he'd never seen anyone so beautiful.
She stood wearing one of his Camp shirts. He was fairly certain she probably had one of his Finding Nemo boxers on as well but he decided that was a question for another day.
It was one of their rare days off where they both got to spend the day together and that's why he was doing what he was doing.
Finally collecting himself, a giant grin spread across his face. He easily crossed the distance to her. He cocooned her in a bear hug. He was beyond ecstatic to see her.
"Good morning, Mrs Jackson." He whispered in her ear.
She eagerly responded in kind, "Well hi, Mr Jackson."
It had become a tradition to greet one another like that in the mornings. Percy had whispered it to her after their wedding day and every day of their honeymoon. He quickly realized that whenever he didn't say it, she was fairly grouchy in the mornings.
Let it be known that while he wasn't a very smart man, he knew his wife. He read his wife very well, thank you very much.
He pressed a gentle kiss to her lips which she eagerly responded too.
"What's on the menu today, Seaweed Brain?"
"Why, Wise Girl, after 10 years of being together and six of those being spent living with me you'd think you would know what was on the menu."
Annabeth snorted, "So blue pancakes hmm?"
He just winked slyly at her.
" Yeah, you got me singing, Holy Mother of Moses
I just wanna buy you roses
Open every door that closes
And kiss you from your head to your toeses "
They grinned at each other for another minute. Percy was very tempted to turn the pan off but his stomach rumbled loudly and that was suddenly off the menu.
Percy would be the first to admit that he was a very lucky man. He would never deny that fact. Any man would be lucky to call this woman theirs and it just happened to be that man.
He would do anything, He would go to the ends of the earth for her. Quite literally. He knew she would as well and with that thought in mind he admitted to the peace in his life.
He had fought and bled and cried and sacrificed so that he could stand where he was with her today. Annabeth wearing his clothes, in the house they bought together. Crawling into bed everyday and noticing that Annabeth had been hitting more and more that she wasn't against the idea of kids.
He couldn't stop himself from walking over to her and pressing kisses all over her face. Perseus Achilles Jackson was beyond in love with Annabeth Jackson.
Annabeth Jackson. Gods a year later and it was still his favorite thing. A grin spread across his lips as he continued to pepper her with kisses. Until a very bitter smell filled his noise.
Horror immediately filled his gut as he realized he burnt the pancakes. "Dam! The pancakes!"
Annabeth's laughter filled the home as she watched her husband freak out over a burnt pancake. Yeah, life was good.
" I like your soul, baby
You got that heart made of gold, baby
I'm gonna love you 'til I'm old, baby
I just wanna be your baby "
Aaaaand that's a wrap. Thanks for reading (:
