Sequel to Trails of Cold Steel III - Year of 1206. The Great Twilight has been brought forth to bring the end of the world. However, Levi vow to deliver judgment to Osborne, Alberich, The Ironbloods, George and Ouroboros, and find a way to destroy the Curse of Erebonia and the Ebon Knight Ishmelga. Together with Rean, Class VII, and their allies to put a stop to this.

6. Act 1 Crossbell

Dateline, August 13th, 1206

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - Eryn, the Hidden Village)

After recruiting Musse, we finally got everyone new Class VII. Well when I say, everyone. Not everyone. We're still missing Rean. But that's all the students of the new Class VII. We all gather around Rose's atelier to learn about the singularities.

"Good news everyone." Roselia greeted. "As you're all aware, we only knew the location of five singularities. But last night, we managed to narrow down the last two as well."

"Really?" Emma asked

"All right! So where are they?" I asked

"One is below Heimdallr. The other is somewhere in the Crossbell province." Roselia answered.

"Crossbell?" Juna asked in concern.

"So at Juna's homeland." Venti hummed

"Neither of those are going to be easy to investigate." Machias stated.

"Fie and Sara tried to get into Heimdallr, and it didn't go so well." Elliot trailed off.

"Yeah. Security was so tight we couldn't get in." Fie nodded

"And if we're gonna be combining through the underground tunnels looking for this thing, we'll need as much help as we can get." Sara added

"If Rufus is there, then Crossbell will be a challenge as well." Jusis nodded

"The leader of the Ironbloods, Governor General Rufus Albarea." Alisa paued

"He's effectively the second-most powerful man in the Empire." Musse added

"It's possible he'll be elsewhere, scheming up some strategy to use against the Republic." Jusis said. "Either way, we need to have a discussion about how to distribute our members."

I have a feeling Juna would want to see her homeland. Then again. I do as well.

Juna got up. "Um, can I be part of the group that goes to Crossbell? I've got friends and family there. I need to know they're all right."

"I second to that." I said to everyone. "Knowing that is the case, new Class VII will journey forth to Crossbell."

"Are you sure, Levi?"

"Of course. I'm also worried your family and Crossbell state of affairs. Are you guys okay with it?" I turn to the new Class VII and Cedric.

"I agreed that we should go to Crossbell." Kurt nodded

"Don't wanna check out your family's hall instead?" Ash asked

"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about my family. But they can handle themselves. I have to believe that."

"Yes. They are the practitioners of the Vander style. I know they'll be all right." Cedric nodded. "I also like to join Crossbell as well. Of course, I would want to know the situation in Heimdallr, but as Crown Prince, I would also be recognized immediately by the guards. I know that my family is being transported elsewhere instead of Valflame Palance. Plus I want to see Crossbell with my own eyes."

"Then it settles. New Class VII and Cedric will be heading off to Crossbell then." I nodded.

"Thanks. I'll be counting on you!" Juna smiled

Musse giggled. "Wat do you all think?"

"That's fine by me. New Class VII takes Crossbell." Elliot nodded

"Just take the two of us with you." Emma requested "That'll make seven for each singularity. There's something we need to address before that though."

Roselia nodded. "Indeed. It's a question of distance. We don't have any teleportations stones in place to take you there, either."

"Yeah, that is a problem." I nodded. "Well, why not allow me to use my magic and teleport us to Crossbell."

"Normally I would agree. However, the question is WHERE exactly."

"Hmm... you do have a point. I remember the places we can teleport. But we don't know who or what is there. Traveling on foot and on horseback is too much time-wasting. Especially with the RMP watching the trains."

"I'd asked the Weissland Army to assist us, but they're on high alert right now." Musse said.

"Maybe I can help." Alisa offered.

"Oh? You got an idea Alisa?" I asked

"I can't make anything promising, but I'll try. I need to get in touch with an old friend first."

"I'll leave this matter in your hands, then. Spend the rest of the day as you please." Roselia said. "Rest up and make sure you're fully prepared to tackle the last singularities."

"Right." I nodded." Musse, Is your ARCUS II fully upgraded?"

"No, I don't appears so."

"Okay, then we'll upgrade yours as well. You're in for a surprises."

August 14th, 1206.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Now, Things To Do)

Today is the day we leave for Crossbell with Alisa's help. Somehow. We're all in Roselia's atelier.

"I wish you the best of luck, young lions." Roselia said. "I have every confidence you'll find the remaining singularities."

"We certainly will." Kurt replied.

"Once these singularities are secured, the path to the instructor will open up." Altina said.

Juna nodded. "Yeah! We can do this!"

"Now that's the Class VII spirit." Sara said.

"We'll meet back here after dealing with Crossbell and Heimdallr." Laura smiled

"But we can be sure our enemy will also raise a high alert." I warned. "After what happened in Sutherland and Lamare, you know they'll be planning to cause trouble."

"That's why we'll need to take two of old Class VII to join with us." Musse said. "And it'll either have to be Jusis or Alisa who need to join us, the second one should be left to you, Levi."

"All right, I'll make a choice once we're ready to leave." I replied.

Jusis nodded. "Right, we've managed to gather a decent amount of intel about the city."

"The RF main office is there, too. So our connections could come in handy." Alisa said. "But we both have stuff we can get done in Heimdallr too, so we decided to split up."

"Fie, Sara and I are heading to the capital." Elliot added. "We have some contacts in the guild that might be able to help."

Fie nodded. "We'll check up on the Vander and St. Astraia while we're there."

"I appreciate it." Kurt smiled

"Don't spread yourselves too thin, all right." Musse advised

"I'm fine going wither group. Heimdallr's my hometown, but I'm concerned about Crossbell, too." Machias said.

"How are we s'pposed to get to Crossbell, anyway?" Ash asked. "Weren't you guys still discussing it last night?"

"Don't worry about that. We've worked something out." Alisa assured. "Right, Emma?"

Emma nodded. "Yes. Whenever you're ready, come meet me in the clearing. Just don't take too long. We have an appointment we need to keep."

The clearing huh? Guess we'll find out once we get there.

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - Eryn, the Hidden Village.)

We left the village and made our ways to the large clearing area where the panzer soldats were. As the number two of both Class VIIs, I was given the choice to take either Alisa or Jusis, and one of the others to join with us. I chose Jusis to confront Rufus. And to along is Gaius.

"Okay, Levi. Who you pick to go with you to Crossbell?" Alisa asked

"I pick...Jusis and Gaius." I answered as I turn to them. "Let's do our best to work together with the team."

The two boys nodded

"Understood." Jusis nodded

"We won't let you down." Gaius added

"Okay, Emma. Work your magic." Alisa said.

"Of course." Emma drew out her staff. "O barrier, welcome our visitors, and grant them passage!"

Then from up above, a small airship traveled through a portal.

"Woah! That's awesome!" Cedric exclaimed in surprise.

A woman sighed. "This is just nuts... How do you conceal an entire village?"

We then saw someone on the airship. But she looks familiar.

"Ah, there you are!" She said. "Hey, Alisa! Sorry to keep you waiting! Capua Delivery Service has arrived!"

Capua Delivery Service? Oh, she must be the Josette girl Rean told me about a while back.

"So, is the new Class VII ready to board?" She asked.

"We sure are, you must be Josette." I replied. "Good to meet you."

"Ah, so you're Levi. Yeah, likewise. So let's get on with the traveling."

A ramp way was brought down and I walked on board first, the new Class VII followed, along with Jusis and Gaius. When we stood inside the bridge room, the ship took off and we were on our way to Crossbell. This would mean we would be seeing Rufus, or even someone else.

"Okay, so...I'm Josette Capua, branch manager of Capua Delivery Service." She introduced. "Good to meet you, Class VII."

"Oh yeah, you're the delivery agency we met in the capital, right?" Ash asked.

"You're an acquaintance of Instructor Rean's, I believe." Kurt said. "You helped fend off the Magic Knights in Heimdallr, didn't you?"

"More like someone he's helped a couple times." Josette replied. "But forget Rean. Alisa's the one that's our valued client. We delivered pieces of precision instruments and other items to RF's 4th Development Division."

"Ah, yes, we were suppose to give you her regards." Jusis smiled

"Wow, we have a lot of connections, don't we?" Juna asked.

"I suppose this is just another connection brought around by the old Class VII." Musse said.

"Not really. You could say I'm pretty connected to the new Class VII, too." Josette replied. "Leeves is my hometown. It used to be part of the Capua barony."

"Tita mention something like that." Venti replied

"So putting that aside, how strong is air security?" I asked.

"Right, security in the skies all over Erebonia seems tighter nowadays. It looks like the most cutting-edge airships available have been sent out to patrol the skies."

"So if we get noticed, it'll be over very quickly."

"Well, just leave it to us. We'll find a way to slip through. It may not be spacious, but do make yourselves at home."

As time begin. I was out the outside deck, feeling the cool wind passing by us. With the air cleared between me, I went back inside the ship and just in time too.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - A Sudden Change of Event)

We noticed that in the distance, there was a battle between two giant battleships and several small ones, that had to be Erebonia and Calvard in the middle of a confrontation. Thankfully, our small airship wasn't noticed and we carried on by until we reached into Crossbell.

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - Towards that Land)

The place to land was at the small area where we fought the giant plant during the field exercise.

"All right, we're here." I said. "This is where met first met Campanella and fight that plant cryptid. We owe Emma for helping us back then too."

"Guessing that was before we joined Class VII." Ash said.

"Aww, I'm a little jealous I couldn't be here to see that." Musse giggled

But then, our thoughts turned to what we saw in the skies.

"Seems like the first signs of war is already happening in the air." Cedric said. "It's very concerning for all involved."

"I don't blame you. It was kind of a crazy situation." Venti agreed.

"Your distress is all too understandable, given the tension that permeated the air." Jusis nodded.

"This war is finally starting to feel real." Juna sadden

"Hearing about it is one thing, but seeing it firsthand is different." Altina nodded

"Which is why the more reason we need to stop this war." I stated. "We can't allow other nations to be swallowed by the curse. A world swallowed by the curse is the end of the world and all life with it."

"I agree. But I don't think we can do this alone." Kurt nodded

"I'll find a way once we get our instructor back. We have too." Altina nodded

"We'd better get our asses in gear and find this singularity, then." Ash stated. "Speaking of, we're pretty far from town, aren't we?"

"Sorry about that, folks." Josette replied. "Security around the city was a lot tighter than I was expecting. This is closer to Tangram Fortress, but it's a blind spot in their patrol. No one'll disturb us here."

"Thank you for all you done for us." I smiled "In any event, let's-"

"Um... Miss Branch Manager, what's that?" A crewman asked at a direction.

"What's what?" Josette asked

"That. Right there." He pointed. "Looks like some kinda weird flower."

We all see it and it begin to glow.

"Black Pleroma Grass! Get back, everyone!" I called.

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - Malicious Fiend)

Then a large magic knight appeared which attacked the airship.

"It's the same as the heavy model we fought beneath the capital!" Kurt exclaimed

"Oh of all the timing... Let's go, everyone! Let's destroy this Magic Knight for everyone sake!"

"YEAH!" Everyone replied.

I link up with Juna and with so many of us here. We begin to strike at the magic knight s it attack us with its chain ball. As it throw at us and we counter it with our attacks. We all eventually land some crafts onto it as it roared and counter-attacked. Then strike a couple of more. Musse, Venti, and Jusis launched their Arts at it and it took some damaged while I launched powerful phantom slashes. It had been a while, but mine and Juna's linked attacks were on point as we defeated the magic knight as it explode in purple light.

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - Towards that Land)

"We won!" Musse sigh with relief.

"It's gone, and the flower's gone too." Gaius said.

"You folks on the ship all right?" I asked before noticing the ship's condition. "Actually, your ship's engine doesn't look good."

"Thanks for the assist. It's seen better days, that's for sure." Josette replied. "Glad you guys wrecked that monster, but the thing made sure to wreck our poor engine first. I'm going to need some time to fix this."

"Would you like to have our help?" Altina offered.

"That's right. Just let us know what you need." Kurt nodded

"Nah, it's fine. We can handle this on our own. You guys hurry on to Crossbell. You're far enough behind schedule as it is."

"Fair enough. We do have more important matters. Plus, there is a boathouse nearby so you should be fine." I replied. "We better get to Crossbell before nightfall. Let us know if there's anything you need to make it up, K."

"Seriously, it's fine." Josette replied. "Besides, we've already collected our fee for transporting you."

"I can't imagine you'll turn a profit with that attitude." Jusis chuckled. "We appreciate it nonetheless, though."

"Tell you what, you can pay us back once you're done saving the day."

"You got yourself a deal. Let's go everyone." I nodded

We left the area and went past the boathouse before entering the roadway where Ash and Juna noticed something.

"Oh..." Juna sadden.

"What the hell is that?!" Ash asked

"That, Ash, is Tangram Fortress." Musse answered. "It's the largest of the fortresses they're planning to use in the invasion of Calvard."

"It was still under construction last time we were here." Altina said. "Looks like it's done now."

"Rumor has it the facility was designed to rival Garrelia Fortress in scale." Jusis added. "It has eight state-of-the-art railway cannons, and probably more armaments besides."

"Then we better stay far away from that place." I said. "Anyways, we need to walk along the roadway until we reach Crossbell."

"Yeah, let's hussle." Juna agreed. "We should be able to get inside before sundown."

We moved on and saw three military trucks pass by, things are getting more irksome with this whole war crap. Which took a left turn to Armorica which Juna touched upon the last time we were here. We carried on the road path until we finally reached Crossbell from the northeast entrance.

"Crossbell City. Phew, we got here before nightfall." Musse said.

"That Orchis Tower is just as much of an eyesore as ever." Ash added.

"Your last visit here certainly was… eventful." Jusis said.

"You've also manage to push back Ouroboros and Mcburn. It's quite the accomplishment." Gaius added

"We couldn't have done it without the instructors and the branch campus students helping out." Altina pointed out.

I sighed. "However, that time was not one of our best moments. But we've gotten stronger since then, so let's keep going."

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Caged Crossbell)

We were now on the East Street of Crossbell, and I could see Juna feeling a sudden dose of emotion.

"Haha...what's wrong with me?" Juna asked herself. "I can't believe coming back here's getting me so emotional."

"It is your homeland. It's like a homecoming." I said.

"Pfft. Sure, if you're some sorta sap." Ash comment.

"Oh please, you were like that in Raquel." Venti remark.

"Shut it, bard!"

"You two really are the closest of friends." Cedric smiled

"Agreed." Musse giggled

"Want to go check in with your family?" Kurt suggested.

Juna sniffed. "No, it's fine. We should have a look around town first. After all, we don't know how strict surveillance is yet."

"True. And since we're in Crossbell, we should look into seeing if we can get a hold of Randy and Tio." I said. "But for now, we should find a place to rest for the evening."

She wiped her eyes and nodded. "Yep. And I've got just the place."

"The tavern from just nearby, right?"

She nodded and we made our way to the inn where the employee there took care of the rest and we got separate rooms for the night

Dateline, August 15th.

"Okay! Time to get this show on the road!" Juna declared.

"Wow, someone's fired up today." Ash said. "Just don't get carried away and mess things up like last time, okay?"

"I know, Geez, you're so negative!" Juna pouted.

"Now now you two. We can tease each other at a later date." Venti giggled.

"If what we heard yesterday is anything to go by, the town's been unusually calm." Kurt said.

"Probably because their defenses are so tight this close to the Republic. Between Tangram Fortress and all the troops, people are feeling that much safer. Then there's the rumors about the man in charge being missing." Jusis said.

"Governor General Rufus Albarea. Jusis's brother." Gaius nodded

"Correction. He's Jusis's cousin. But regardless, this is good news for us, though." I stated.

"Either way, we should avoid Orchis Tower for now." Altina advised. "But we can go to the Entertainment District. We didn't get a chance to while we were here for our field exercises."

"Yeah, that was the one place we couldn't go to last time." Venti agreed. "And if we can get in touch with Randy and Tio as well, it'll be more power to us."

"Plus we can see if anyone knows about the singularity." Cedric nodded

"Sounds like a plan. So long as everything looks all right, we can drop in on Juna's family as well." Musse said.

"Aww, thanks." Juna replied. "Let's get going, everyone!"

We nodded and left the tavern to begin our exploring and info searching. Starting with the habour area, the Crossbell News Service was taken over by Imperial troops and turned into a conscription office. Just like Sutherland and Lamare. There was also the trading building close by, but it was locked. Finally, there was the RF building that Alisa wanted to check in for possible info. We went there and spoke to the receptionist. We received a report on military supplies being transferred by RF, and at a fast rate, thanks to Alisa's mother. I guess she had no choice, due to that new act put in place.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Raquel, the Amusement Town)

We moved on from the harbor area to go to Central Square, before passing through and entering the Entertainment District.

"Wow. I remember this during my travels." I said.

"So this is Crossbell's Entertainment District, huh? Meh. It's no Raquel, but.. I guess I can get what Randolph sees in the place."

"It certainly... lively. But in a different way from the other districts." Altina replied

"Yep, this place has it all." Juna said with a smug on her face. "There's a casino, a high-class hotel, bars, clubs, and a neat little antique store, too. And then there's the jewel in Crossbell's crown- Arc en Ciel."

"I'm getting more intrigued by the minute." Cedric replied. "I've heard about Arc en Ciel from Olivert. He always wanted to take me and Alfin. Even the family here and see the show."

"I dunno. Seems pretty dull over there for a crown Jewel." Ash remark

Yeah. Can't argue with you on that." Juna muttered "There leading lady was seriously injured about a year or so ago. And their second-biggest star had to take a break for personal reasons. With so many members out of the picture, they can only put on a mall shows now and then. But leading ladies or no, Arc en Ciel is still the pride of Crossbell. I really hoped we get to see them perform again someday."

"Don't worry. I'm sure you will." Kurt smiled

Aww, those two would make a perfect couple~

"In any case, it seems the theatre itself is still open." Jusis said. "We could always take a look inside and see if we can learn anything.

Musse agreed. "It'd be a shame not to, after coming all this way."

"It'd be a shame not to, after coming all this way. ANy other points of interest, Juna?" Musse asked

Juna hummed. "I say we try the antique store in the alley, too, while we're at it. One of them is run by this old lady the SSS used to go to for info all the time.

"I believe old women are indeed known for their intensive gossip networks." Altina said.

"Well why don't we go ask both around then? Let's get started, shall we?" Venti suggest

We went inside the theater and there was no one at the main entrance. We heard a bit of talking from the doors beyond that led to the audience seats and we could see on stage that a rehearsal performance was going on.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - The First Waltz)

In the middle was a girl and she was spinning with great accuracy, not moving from her spot at all.

"She moves with style and grace." I commented quietly.

'Yeah. I can't take my eyes off her.' Kurt nodded

'What a beautiful dance.' Gauis smiled

'Impressive, indeed.' Jusis nodded

'I'm starting to see what all the hype's about.' Ash replied

'Right? She's the real deal.' Musse nodded

"That's one of the troupe's younger performers. Sully Atraid, a.k.a. the Star Princess." Juna explained. "It's like she gets better every time I see her."

"Haha, that she does, young lady." A man spoke and we saw an employee standing close by.

"Oh, are you the theater manager?" Musse asked.

"Sorry for coming in here without permission." I said. "We didn't see anyone at the entrance, so..."

"Oh no, not at all. The fault is mine for leaving the front desk unattended." He replied. "Sully's been improving by leaps and bounds. It's hard to tear my eyes away from her sometimes. She's like a shining beacon of hope in the midst of all this gloomy talk of war."

Juna nodded. "Yeah...we need that. Now more than ever."

"Anyway, we'd better split. Wouldn't wanna get in the way any more than we already have." Ash said.

"Right." Altina nodded. "We better head back to the entrance."

We left the theater and even though we didn't find any leads on the singularity, we did feel a little more upbeat after seeing a bit of the rehearsal performance. We begin to turn to the Crossbell Strip

Kurt hummed. "The street's seedy to say the least."

"Well, we are in the Entertainment District." Juna teased. "Not to mention, this is right around where the mafia used to set up shop."

"I've heard as much. But only rumors." Altina said.

"Man, all that crap doesn't matter." Ash sighed. "I'd come here any day as long as they got hot babes."

"Blunt as always I see. But I can't blame you." I comment.

"It's natural as a man." Venti added

We turned right to go into Imelda's Antique Shop, and there was an old lady by the front table.

"Welcome, welcome! Aren't you a cute little gaggle of young folk?" She greeted. "Don't see too many aficionados yours age, but...whether you're old or young, your money's good here. You can even pay the installments, if you want! Just be careful not to let the interest pile up, you hear?"

"Geez, we can't even get a word in edgewise here." Ash muttered.

"Haha! She's just like Lloyd said she was." Juna replied. "Excuse me, ma'am! Are you Imelda? Did you use to help out the Special Support Section?"

That got the old lady's attention. "Ah, I see. You must be the ones the IDF have been looking for. Class VII, right?"

"Wh-what?! How did you know?" Kurt asked.

"Oh, I have my sources. I heard all about you the last time you were here for your field exercises." Imelda then looked at me. "And you, young man. My, what a handsome one you are. Hohoho! I couldn't forget a face like that. You're Levi, aren't you?

"How do you know who I am?" I blinked

"I've heard about you from the young red-haired man."

"Red-haired man?" Ash repeated.

"She must be talking about Randy!" Juna corrected.

"Well, I can't think of anyone else who'd be asking around about the SSS right now." Imelda replied.

"You mean you have some inside info that no one knows about?" I asked.

She nodded. "Yes. I imagine you're here for information. Did you want to know how Bannings' team got into the tower?"

Juna's eyes were open wide. "Wait! They did what?!"

"You are better informed than we've been led to believe." Altina said.

"Could you tell us a little more, perhaps?" Musse asked.

Imelda then explained about how Lloyd and his team got inside Orchis Tower and they succeeded in an attempt to find out what was going on inside the Empire from within. We were willing to part some Mira for the info, but she insisted not to, and that if we throw a wrench into the Empire's plans, she'll consider that as payment. We left her store and out of the mall area to reach the main area of the district.

The last part was the casino, but it wasn't open yet.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - The Caged Crossbell)

So we left the Entertainment District and went to West Street.

"It's been a long time, West Street." Juna said.

"Your home is somewhere around here, isn't it?" Altina asked.

I nodded. "If I remember, it's in that apartment that's just a few walks down there. So what do you wanna do, Juna? It's your call."

"Well, I would like to go there now, but I don't wanna get my family in trouble."

"We can probably find out how they're doing by asking around the neighborhood." Gaius suggested.

We agreed and noticed a trio of kids who looked happy to see Juna, we then headed to the bakery store to speak with Oscar and Bennet. We then heard that Oscar was drafted to join the military and Bennet wasn't taking it well. But we did hear that Juna's family was doing well, but they were worried. The abandoned office from the corner was also taken over as well. It was the same one we went to when we found the Geofront floor area.

We left the bakery and went over to the CNS office, walking inside, we could see the place was now likely.

"Wow, they really did move a lot in here." Juna said.

"There aren't that many people." Altina added.

"Reminds me of when we had to go down to that Geofront area." I reminded. "But it seems that stairway isn't here now."

"Oh, sorry, I didn't see you there." A voice said.

We then saw two people walking up to us.

"Please excuse the mess! We've only just moved in. We're still getting used to the new space, but it'll be up and running before you know it. Wait, you all..."

"Huh? What about us?" Cedric asked.

She then looked at the guy standing next to her. "Reins, are these the kids you told me about before?"

"No doubt about it. I'd recognize Class VII anywhere. Especially Erebonia's Crown Prince." He replied. "I was wondering when you guys would show up. Certainly kept us waiting!"

"Oh? How did you know we were coming?" Musse asked.

Ash glared at them. "Wait, are you guys part of..."

"Woah, slow down. We're not part of the Intelligence Division, so don't worry." The female assured. "And as for you, Reins. Can't you choose your words better? It's no wonder they would be suspicious after hearing something like that!"

"My bad, my bad." He sighed. "It felt like the quickest way to get them up to speed."

She cleared her throat. "Well, in any case, allow me to introduce yourself. Grace Lynn, writer for the Crossbell Times and journalist extraordinaire. Now about your missing instructor, the Ashen Chevalier. I've been following his career for a while now. I might be able to tell you something useful. How about it?"

"Whatever it is that we don't know about, anything would help." I responded.

"If I recall correctly, wasn't that the plan to shut down the SSS and their allies?" Kurt asked.

"I'd never have thought a regular citizen could achieve so much." Altina said.

"I must admit, I'm a little curious about what you'd be able to tell us." Musse added. "It also seems to me that you have plenty of information sources. Maybe more than what a run-of-the-mill journalist should have."

"Oh, you flatter us." Reins said. "We're just good at keeping our ears open for gossip is all."

"So then, Levi, you're looking after new Class VII for the time being?" Grace asked. "Don't be surprised, I've heard about you and everyone else. I have to say, the stories I hear don't do you justice."

We left the office building to recap on what we had heard. We then made our way to Juna's home by entering into the apartment building. Juna then led the way to the familiar door that I remembered when we were last here during the field exercise. She knocked on the door, but there was no reply. She opened the door instead and there was no one around, but we did hear someone from another room.

"Aw, man! I lost again! Let's go one more time!" A child said.

"Juna?" We then saw Juna's mom who showed up from behind us.

We stood back and saw Juna and her mom share a close hug.

"You're okay! You're really okay! Thank Aidios you're back! I was so worried..."

"Mom..." Juna replied before she cried. "It's so good to see you again, too. I'm glad you're safe."

Just then, the children came out, it was Ken and Nana who rushed up to hug Juna. I couldn't help but feel so happy for her. Having a family life is wonderful… I wish I know who are my family…

"So this is Juna's family. They're so adorable." Musse said quietly.

Altina nodded. "Agreed. And it's nice to see that they're doing so well."

"Tell me about it. A loving family is always a warming site." Venti added

A familiar's girl's voice giggled. "Oh, I knew you would all be okay."

And then, to our surprise, a third person came out of a room, and it was one of the missing students.

We then had a close talk about what had been going on. And of course her mother thanks us for taking care of her. But we also thank her for helping all she did for everyone too.

"So, Louise. As an assistant and temporally class leader, until we get Rean back, I want to know if there was anyone else you escaped with." I said. "As of now, we're missing at least three other students."

"Oh yes, I was with Valerie, Freddy, and Stark." She replied. "They came to Crossbell with me. Though we're working seperately for now."

"Right, and where are they at the moment?"

"Valarie's over at St. Ursula Hospital, Freddy's helping out at the Fisherman's Guild, and Stark's investigating all over the province."

"Juna giggled. "I guess there's a reason they made you leader of the comms team during our field exercises."

"As for me, I'm acting as a liaison between us all, while seeing what intel I can dig up from the orbal network in the meantime."

Sounds like this person might be more skilled.

"Only in a city as advance as Crossbell could such an individual arise." Jusis said. "Not that that means we should be encouraging this hacking business."

Lousie then got a call and we followed her into the room where she opened up a laptop to show us something, which was a message.

'Welcome to Crossbell, Thors Military Academy's Class VII. Sorry to be so abrupt, but I have some information I'm sure you'll find interesting. Come meet me at the X Sector in the Geofront, and I'll tell you more.'

"Uh, who's this from?" Juna asked. "A friend of yours?"

"I have no idea. The sender's not displaying properly." Louise answered.

"Whoever is able to do that, must be a very skilled hacker." I said. "And as for the place it mentioned. Sector X, that as where we took on that magic knight whilst Emma was helping out Tio."

"What should we do?" Altina asked. "It could very well be a trap."

"But now they know we're here, it could be more dangerous not to respond." Musse said.

"Let's go to Sector X, but be fully prepared." I declared "I were there before, it was under the floor of the office building we were in."

"You're right." Louise said as she was typing on the laptop. "Apparently, that's what they call the underground area below the Entertainment Disctrict. The only way in is through the Barca Casino."

"Well, it was closed earlier, but maybe it's open now. In any case, we have our next destination, let's get fully prepared before we go in."

Juna said her goodbyes to her family and we left the apartment to go back to the entertainment district. We went over to the casino and the doors were open this time. We went inside to see the place already in full swing. We walked around to look for the owner that Juna knew about. We went upstairs and walked up to a man behind the drinks bar.

"Well, if it isn't Juna." He spoke.

"Hi, Mr. Drake. It's good to see you again." Juna replied.

"Haha, yes indeed! I was so sorry to miss you last time you visited. So what can I do for you?"

We then explained the situation to him.

"Hmmm, you've certainly gotten yourselves wrapped up in something troublesome. Well, there IS an underground passage in the casino basement that leads there."

"Looks like we were right." I said.

"But how did our contact know such specifics?" Altina asked. "Are you acquainted with the infamous hacker?"

"No, I've only heard the rumors. That's all." Drake replied. "Besides, there are a multitude of ways to make your way there."

"Cant' say i'm surprised since it's similar to Heimdallr's underground." I comment

"With that in mind, we should stay on gaurd." Kurt said.

"If you're set on going, you should take this with you." He handed a key to us. "Go through the back door on the first floor, then turn right. That'll lead you to the underground. We don't use it very often, so it may be a little run-down. Do be careful."

We went down the stairs and through the back door, turning right and over to the door where Juna unlocked it. We walked downwards and through a door to enter the Geofront X Sector.

"So this is the X sector... It looks a bit different from the others we visited." Kurt said

"Alright! Let's go, um...which way do we go again?" Juna asked.

Musse hummed. "We never did receive concrete instructions."

Juna's ARCUS suddenly beeped and she answered it.

"Phew, finally got through. So you've reached X Sector, huh?"

"Who are you? And how did you get this number?" Juna asked

"Heh! It was child's play for a genius like me. Keep going until you get to the computer room. I'll be waiting for you there. Oh, and try not to get torn to shreds by the monsters. Anyway, later!"

The call then ended.

"'Later?!' The heck this guy's problem?!"

"Sounds like one cocky bastard. That's for sure." Ash said.

"A young boy of around 15 or so years, by my best estimate." Altina added. "But how did he get a hold of your ARCUS number?"

We begin to journey forth X sector.

Juna hummed. "There's something about that kid."

"The hacker, you mean?" Musse asked. "He seems to be quite infamous here in Crossbell."

"The Intelligence Division has been training hackers of their own as of late." Altina replied

"Let's hope they don't pry into people's privacy." I sighed

We continue to go forth. We begin to combat monsters that are blocking our way. Even encounter some strong ones too. We have to press some switches to open up a path for us. And then soon we begin to enter a duct. The Bane of all girl's existence. And then some part, we have to go back there again. Until finally we across the sector area and reached a short hallway where we heard a bit of music coming from the left side beyond a door.

"Is that...music?" Juna asked.

"You don't suppose that room is..." Kurt paused.

"Our target destination?" Altina finished. "The probability is high."

"Then let's go on in." Cedric said.

We went inside to see a young boy working on a large computer and there was a girl standing next to him.

"Man, you took your sweet time." The boy said.

"So he's the one who contacted us." Musse said.

"And he's not alone." Juna added

"What a surprise to see her here." Kurt stated

"I'm guessing she's acquainted with him. So who are you exactly?" I asked.

He turned around to see us. "Nice to meet you IRL, Class VII. Prince Cedric. I'm genius systems engineer and hacker extraordinaire...Jona Sacred."

"A genius who can't feed himself." The girl remarked. "You were at the theater earlier, right? I'm a member of Arc en Ciel. My name's Sully Atraid. Tio and the others have told us all about you, but it's so nice to finally meet."

Juna gasped. "W-wait a sec! You know the SSS, too?!"

"In a way. I do something here and there for them through Rixia." Sully replied. "I'm guessing you must be Juna, I've heard a few stories about you. You're one of Bannings's junior cadets, right?"

"Y-yeah. Or well, I was. Back when I was still at the police academy, anyway."

"And you must be Levi. Your name's been spreading across the SSS like wildfire."

"A wildfire?" I responded. "Am I really that famous?"

"Well, you did help rescue Llyod and the others, right?" Jona winked.

"Oh...I guess that makes sense."

"Yeah, I did. Considering how unjust Rufus's actions was."

We soon began exchanging info on the situation in regard to Erebonia and the Great Twilight in full swing, of course, the team agreed to not disclose about my personal burden that's still ticking away.

"You mean the Ashen Chevalier?" Sully asked "I mean, he IS pretty famous, but..."

"I dunno... Feels kinda unrealistic to pin all your hopes on one day." Juna remark

"Well I can't blame you for thinking that. But you misunderstand." I comment. "We're not planning all our hopes into him. We're RESCUING him. He's already suffering as it is. Besides, I have a way to stop the Great Twilight."

"You do?"

"Yep. But I'll explain to explain to everyone once we rescue him."

"Well, if you say so. By the way, about that singulairty you're looking for- it's supposed to be overgrown with black Pleroma Grass, right? I'll try combing the web about it. Something's bound to turn up eventually."

"Aw... Juna." Juna smiled

"Hey come on, he literally slandered one of my best friends. Surely you would have done the same if someone slandered you respect like that."

"Yeah, I can agree to that." Sully nodded.

We passed through the second part of the sector.

"Guys! You- You're going way too fast!" Jona panted

"You're so out of shape, it's insane." Sully sighed

We begin to head down the stairs but found a dead end. But we found a duct. We had no choice but to crawl... again.

"Gh... Craplike is why I don't leave my roo. The real world sucks." Jona muttered

"Ugh, quit whining, Jona. Hurry up." Sully scoff.

"Wow... that's just sad. You need to face the reality at some point." I sighed.

We begin to exit the duct and then made our way again and then at some point of exploring and finding some switch. We climb up the stairs.

"All that dancing must keep you pretty fit." Kurt complimented.

Sully blushed. "O-Oh, well... I'm nothing compared to Rixia."

"Ugh... Can't I just wait for you guys down here?" Jona asked

"No. You seriously need exercise. Your body lacks everything. It's not healthy." I answered I then blinked. "Wait... did I sound like a parent just now?"

Once the switch activated and then we begin to hurry to the exit. We soon stopping at a big area along the way due to Jona not exercising enough.

"Even still, he's right Jona. You'll only slow everyone down and put your health at risk." Sully nodded.

"We're almost to the exit, so we should- and Never mind." I sighed because I can hear them coming.

That was when a trio of those red clown archaisms came up from behind us, but with our combined powers, we were able to overcome all three of them, and the coast was clear. The two kids were unharmed of course.

"N-Not half bad." Jona said. "You might actually stand up to par with the SSS."

"In any case, let's keep on moving." I said.

We continued onwards, going upwards and passing through a large door before entering a big area where three people were standing.

"Bravo! Terrific work, everyone." One of them said, applauding.

"I should have known it was you." A young boy added.

"We meet again." A tall guy spoke.

That was when we noticed who it was among them.

"Xin?!" Juna asked in surprise.

"Then this guard and the man with glasses are..." Altina paused.

"Cao Lee?! What are YOU doing here?" Jona asked.

"So you're the infamous Class VII! We meet at last." The guy in front bowed. "I am Cao Lee, chief of Heiyue Trading, Limited's Crossbell Branch. I believe you've been of much assistance to Master Xin. I thought it only proper to come and offer you my thanks."

"I've heard about you guys." I said

"We read about them in the database." Musse replied. "They're the largest crime syndicate in Calvard."

"Heh, guess we're dealing with some major players here." Ash said.

"So you're the ones Rixia was working for." Sully added.

"Ah, Sully, is it? I've heard nothing but good things about you lately." Cao responded. "And yes, we have made use of Yin's services before. But right now, we have a contract with...another party."

He clicked his fingers and a pair of red archaisms dropped from up above to surround us.

"Now, Thors Military Academy's Class VII and the young underground hacker. Would you mind terribly if I requested you come with us?"

"I see it now...you're in contact with the society, aren't you?" I glared at Cao.

"No, it must be from the Governor General's Office." Musse corrected.

We draw our weapons to fight. I guess they're another I'm planning on killing.

"Tch, looks like the kids babysitters are gonna be a pain in the ass, too." Ash muttered

"Yeah. Everyone, fire up the combat link! We'll overcome this together!" I command

Just then, a twin tailed hazel-haired girl swooped in and she destroyed the archaisms with ease. There was also a white-haired girl with a gun that some of us noticed. Wait, I remember her.

"Damn!" Ash cheered

"Look up there." Altina noticed.

"E-Elie?!" Juna asked in surprise.

"Guh...it's really her." Xin said, feeling worried.

"Heh, I heard what happened at the tower, but there she stands." Cao added quietly.

"Hello there, Juna. Still finding your way into trouble, I see?" Elie asked her. "And you must be the one who rescues us at Operation Birdcage. It's good finally meet you, Levi."

"Huh? So Randy told you, huh?" I responded

"Nice to meet'cha, Class VII! We'll be taking over from here." The twin tail girl.

"It's been a while, Miss MacDowell." Cao said. "And you've brought the daughter of the Divine Blade with you! How nice to meet a key figure from the Liberl incident."

"Thanks for the INtro. It'd say it's nice to meet you, too, White Orchid Dragon. But your reputation's so slimy, I'm worried it might leave a stain."

"It's been some time, Xin. Cao, Lau. You, too." Elie replied. "Through our cooperation was indirect, I really did value our prior working relationship. So would you mind standing down, for old time's sake?"

"Were it not for our client's direct orders, we might have obliged, but alas." Cao answered as a no. "What's more, this is a most unusual opportunity; a chance to test each other's mettle."

And then Cao and Lau begin to fight.

"Hey! I forbid you from laying a finger on Elie!" Xin command

"Master Xin, I'm afraid I must ask you to step back." Lau replied

"Fear not. We won't use our full strength here." Cao added

"Yeah, everyone says that BEFORE they get hit with the big stick." The twin hair girl remark "You guys need to get moving now."

"Keep Jona and Sully safe." Elie added.

Juna nodded. "You can count on me."

We rushed past the commotion and out of the big area, the two kids were unable to keep up, so Ash and Kurt volunteered to carry them the rest of the way until we finally made it to the outside, exiting from a small lighthouse.

"Oh, look at that." I looked around. "We're back at the Harbor District."

Jona who was put down by Ash had other ideas. "Y-you hooligan!? Carrying me around like a sack of potatoes. Unbelievable!"

Kurt put down Sully and she got up.

"Ugh, men! All muscle, no brains, Zero delicacy!" Sully complained. "As if Bannings wasn't bad enough."

"What exactly do you mean by that? Do you think us MEN are stupid or something" I cross my arm and felt offended.

"A-Ah…" Sully scratch her cheeks and nervous.

Juna frowned at her. "Sully, the least you can do is say thank you."

"It's alright, Juna." Kurt assured. "It was an emergency after all."

Sully then groaned. "Ugh, fine! Thank you! There, I said it."

"So that was Elie from the SSS... You've always spoken highly of her, as I recall." Kurt said.

"And for good reason. She's Speaker MacDowell's grandaughter... and currently acting secretary." Juna replied

"I've heard of her. Though I also hear no one's been able to get in touch with her for a while." Jusis replied "I'm sure she's more than capable of handing herself, however."

"The girl accompanying her was Estelle Bright, a bracer." Musse said. "She, alongside Tita and Prince Olivert, helped clear up the mysterious incidents that occurred in Liberl."

"Oh, so that's Estelle Bright. I heard her name once before when I was with Randolph and Rean at the tavern back at Leeves." I said "She seemed to be a very well-known bracer in the eyes of the SSS."

"The Intelligence Division has had their eyes on her for a while." Altina added. "Only fitting, considering she's one of Liberl's most up-and-coming young bracers."

"She's earn quite the repuation for herself. You'd be hard pressed not to hear her name in Liberl." Jusis replied.

"Her skilled with the staff is impressive." Gaius added.

"Anyways, we should part ways with the two kids before they catch up." I reminded. "We still need to find the singularity and the rest of the campus students."

We then left the harbor area with the kids to a place where they could lie low for a while. While we left. I stop and then I felt someone is watching us. I turn around and no one was there. I then stare closely at the place but notice the kids are getting further. I'll leave it be for now.

I've undo my magic as soon as Levi left with the new Class VII, Cedric and the boy name Jona and the girl name Sully. We were on one of the rooftops in the Harbor district.

"Wow. Thank goodness for that magic spell you just did." Campanella said. "Angel Boy obviously sense us. If you haven't cast that spell. He would most likely alert them."

"Considering how sharp his senses are. It shouldn't surprise me. I was fortunate enough to cast it fast enough." I replied

"Can you teach me that spell? In any case, back to the topic at hand. You can't say the syndicate doesn't keep its promises."

"Sure, at least as far as this case is concerned." Lechter nodded "The Jade Rook is back. Now we just need to buy some time. After that, it's just a matter of handing it over to the next guy."

"All work and no play, huh?" Campanella asked. "I like that about you. As for Jormungandr, we're just about ready to get everything officially underway."

"But there are a few details to work out regarding it more... 'unofficial' aspects, right?" I asked

"Right."

"Then there's Class VII. What's left of them, anyway. Let's see just how much fight these dregs still have in them." Lechter replied.

"Hmph. Guessing them by now. I say it's infinite. They will continue to fight on and move on. Even in the dim of hope. Especially for what happened back at the Gral." I said "I respect their determination. Though I am concern about you do." I turn to Lechter

"Me? Why?"

"You already know why. You're still shocked over Millium's death. Just like with Claire. But even so. You carry on, and yet, deep inside. It scars your soul."

"What are you, a poetic? Still, What happened with Millium, I honestly can't believe her. Still, I won't let her sacrifice be in vain."

"Is that so? In that good luck to you. But you should probably be careful through. After all, Aside from Ash and Altina. Levi will no doubt be in rage with you."

"In any case, we should get going now. Because soon, we'll see them again."

The former headquarters of the SSS building which the kids had a key to get in. It reminded us of when we came here with Rean and Machias when we were scoping out for information on the experimental Aion. Jona was able to get a network up and running to gather data for us. Louise was then called over to talk about what to do next. but so far, we found nothing. Worst, Rufus is back.

"Why don't we take a look at this report here?" Musse suggested. "St. Ursula Hospital... Where have I heard that name before?"

"Oh, you mean St. Ursala Medical College?" "That's one of Crossbell's most advanced medical facilities."Juna answered

"Oh yeah, there's where Linde used to study before she got to sign up as one of the nurses at the branch campus." Venti replied.

"Yeah, the place has been overrun with new patients lately." Jona said. "They've had to discharge people faster than usual, or transfer them over to armorica. Pretty harsh, if you ask me."

"I went there a while back to check up on things. It was kind of a shock." Louise nodded "Turns out a ton of government and military workers have been going there in secret."

"Sounds like there's somehting more to this than meets the eye." Kurt said.

"I know a nurse who works there. Maybe she can tell us something about it." Sully suggested "Though I haven't had a chance to see her lately. She's just as busy as everyone else."

"Wait, you don't happen to mean Cecile, do you?" Juna asked "She lives in my apartment building! I've known her almost all my life."

"Wow, It's a small world, huh?"

Small world indeed.

"Llyod is probably at that convalescent home they set up in Armorica right now. Ilya got move there right in the middle of her rehab, after all."

"Unbelievable." I muttered

"You might be right." Juna sighed. "We won't be able to count on his help this time. I hope Ilya recovers soon. I'm sure everyone else in Crossbell feels the same way."

"Yeah."

"In any case. Heiyue and the archaism are a cause for concern as well. Seeing them both at the Geofront did seem like than just a coincidence." I said.

"Agreed. Their activities appear to stretch across the whole of Crossbell now. And we've never seen them sing the society's archaisms before." Altina nodded

"Heiyue and Ouroboros working together...or well, with the Governner General, at least." Jona said. "Bad news for us, either way. Lloyd and the SSS can only do so much about them from the shadows."

Sully nodded. "Yeah, and not just them. Rixia, Arios...even those Liberlians who came over to help have their hands full with them."

We then looked at the huge map we were able to get.

"So this map shows where all the archaisms are turning up, yeah?" Ash asked. "Whole of Crossbell, my ass. It's totally biased to one side, isn't it? I mean, there's barely any around Mishelam. Same goes for St. Ursala."

"Well, perhaps that 'bias' is preciesly where our clue lies." Musse said. "It's almost as though they're trying to draw the attentions of the SSS and the bracers away from the south."

"There's still no telling if they've found the singularity, though." Juna added.

"Regardless of why that is, we should at least consider investigating around there for clues." I suggested. "Why don't we start with looking for Valerie at the hospital?"

"Yes, she might have found something out by now." Louise agreed. "I already got word back from Freddy. He's been looking around that area himself. He said he discovered something 'interesting' at our old field exercise camp."

"Something interesting?" Altina repeated.

"Hmm, I think I have an idea on what that is. We'll look into that along the way." I replied. "Let's head over to the old field camp and then onto St. Ursala's hospital."

"Good. Then it's decided." Juna nodded. "Time to hear what our friends have to say. We'll head to the old field exercise camp first. After that, it's off to St. Ursula Hospital!"

"We should head to Station Road and start our excursion from there." Jusis nodded

"Good luck, everyone." Louise encouraged.

"We'll see what we can find while you're gone." Jona added "I'll make sure to contact you as soon as we do."

"With Rixia and the SSS rushed off their feet, you guys are the only one who can count on for this." Sully nodded. "Guess you get to take the lead this time. Be careful out there."

We smiled and left the building, making our way to Station Street before leaving Crossbell to travel onto Ursala Road.

I summoned the horses. I've taken the brought one. Juna takes the light brown one. Kurt takes the black one. Gaius takes the black one. Jusis takes the white one. Cedric takes on the light brown one. Venti takes the brown one and Ash takes on the light brown one. Altine rides behind Juna and Musse rides behind Ash. We then ride onwards before turning right to where the old field camp was, but when we got there, it was all empty at first. Until we saw a small campfire set up.

"I have a strong feeling on who would set up camp in that corner of all places." I said.

"Oh, hey! It's you, guys!" Someone called to us.

We then saw a familiar student on the other side of the lake.

"Freddy!" Kurt replied.

"What are you doing over there?" Altina asked.

"Hahaha! Have I ever missed you! Wow! Class VII, and the prince in the flesh!" Freddy replied. "And speaking of flesh, I just caught something for dinner. Care to join me?"

"Still up to your cooking experiments as always?" Venti asked

"Yeah, you know it, Venti!"

He then somehow made a bold leap to our side of the lake and went over to the campfire before putting something...unusual on the stove.

"There, that should do it. Prepare your taste buds for Char-Grilled Crossbell Lizard."

"About that, we just ate." I replied. "Anyways, how's it going with the Fisherman's Guild?"

"Just peachy, thanks. I've been checking in with Louise regularly while investigating the area outside of the city. Hearing about what you've all been through was a real shocker. Kudos on making it out of the Gral alive!"

"You don't seem to be doing so badly yourself." Ash replied

"And now we know everyone from the branch campus is doing all right." Juna said.

"We still have to meet up with Valerie and Stark, though." Altina reminded.

"So, Freddy, so you have any intel worth sharing?" Musse asked.

"You bet I do. Basically, what I know falls into three categories." Freddy replied. "The first is that there's something I need to show you. You and Venti. Follow me."

We then followed Freddy and we ended up at the forest area where nearby the tracks, was two green soldat.

"Yep. I knew it." I smiled

"That's Musse and mine Soldats!" Venti said.

"Oh, I've been looking for it everywhere!" Musse sighed in relief. "I didn't expect it would be here of all places, along with sweet Venti. Thank you so much for finding it for us, Freddy!"

"Haha, I wasn't really looking for it." Freddy replied. "I just happened to strumble across it while I was out looking for some grubs. But not long after, you guys showed up! It can only be fate."

"Now we have five soldats with us." I said. "So it's only just mine we need to find, the silver one. But I should also think about Prince Cedric's as well."

"Yes…" Cedric nodded.

"Speaking of others, allow me to make a quick call."

Musse got out her ARCUS and called Roselia to do something for her, something to do with a unique spell. We then saw a spirit path being opened before the other three soldats appeared. Whatever they just did, it worked. We heard that the other team in Heimdallr are finding it hard, so we had to be careful too. Altina did the same thing in hiding the soldats, and then we went back to the field camp.

"Okay, the second thing I gotta tell you is some ruins I found." Freddy said.

"Ruins?" Juna responded.

"Yep. Remember the lakeside beach around here? I found out that there are some odd ruins in the place you guys fought that cryptid."

"Oh, the Unsurtr?" Kurt asked.

"Ah, I remember that now." I nodded. "That was when we had Sharon accompanying us. We were looking for that grass and then it showed up by surprise. But how could the ruins be there?"

Musse giggled. "This is getting interesting.

"And now, discovery number three." Freddy continued. "When I was fishing by the lake one night, I saw a faint blue light in the distance. And guess what I found? A whole bunch of Pleroma Grass."

"Blue? It wasn't the black that we've seen before?" Gaius asked.

"Right. It was the regular ol' blue strain. Whether that's significant or not, well, your guess is as good as mine."

"Hmm, this sounds like it could be different from the black ones." Venti hummed. "We should look into that when we can."

"Whatever color it is, the fact that it's growing here could have something to do with the singularity." Jusis said. "Since it's on the way to the hospital, we may as well take a look."

I nodded. "Good idea, we should check the ruins along the way as well."

"Catch you later, then Freddy." Ash said. "Don't go poisoning yourself with that weird crap you eat."

"Hahaha! Don't worry about me." Freddy replied. "You guys take care now."

We left the field camp and carried on Ursala Road before we reached the beachside, we went on down to explore the area and when we got to the end, we saw a ruin building suddenly appear.

"Woah! Did you see that?!" Juna asked in surprise.

"Yes. It has to be some kind of distortion." Venti answered.

"Great. Another supernatural mystery to deal with." Ash sighed.

"The space here does feel a little different." Altina said.

Musse nodded. "Yes. Almost as if it's slightly out of phase, perhaps."

"Well, if it's like the other two, expect this one to be a challenge." I said. "Let's go inside."

We entered the ruins and making our way down to the bottom.

"Same deal as the ruins at Bryonia Island and Lake Gala, eh?" Ash asked

"This phenomenon seem to be occurring all over the Empire." Musse nodded

It turned out to be more or less the same as the first one was. The second one had an altar only. Still, we have to go through finding corridors and switches to reach certain gates. We reached the end where the altar was and a red-looking snake showed up, just like the previous two, forcing us into a battle.

I link up with Jusis this time. With this many of us. We begin to take on the monster. However. It's incredible annoying casting arts and trying to shield itself. Even trying to drain our health.

It was tougher than the last two, but thanks to me, Venti and Cedric with his command Craft. We then braced ourselves for seeing another vision that we had seen twice before.

A bright light covered our view and we saw a vision of Obsorne watching his house being burnt down.

...thank the goddess...you're okay...please...I beg of you...save...our child.

Our child? That must be the voice of Rean's real mother who died?

Aidios, please! Someone answer me! Goddess or fiend, I don't care! I'll do anything...take me instead, if you must! Just please...spare our son's life!

The vision then faded away.

"I'm sure you all saw that, right?" I asked. "That guy yelling had to be Osborne."

"Yes... And that child within it." Altina nodded

"Yeah... His face looked just like Instructor Rean's... Or a younger version of him, anyway." Juna sadden

"He had a serious wound on his chest, right next to his heart." Ash said.

"That woman must have been his mother." Musse sadden

"How Horrible…" Cedric sadden.

Gaius and Jusis stay silent as they are lost in thoughts then look at us.

"Let's move forth, everyone. We'll find this singularity and bring Rean back to us—one way or another"

"Yes. We needs to tell him about what we saw in the vision." Gaius said.

Altina nodded. "Agreed."

"Yeah, let's get outta here." I replied.

As we walk out of here. I begin to think what happen to Osborne… how did Rean… more importantly… Ishmelga… the bastard and mastermind I need to kill.

We left the ruins and catching our breaths, we left the beachside area and back onto Ursala Road. We got on our horses and traveling past the second road, we heard a train going by, it had to be going past the Ursala railway line that goes to Mishelam. We had to stop along the way due to a giant monster blocking the path.

We then carried along the roadpath until we reached our destination, a large building area and dismount our horses.

"So this is the medical college. I must admit. It's more beautiful than I imagine it." I said.

"This hospital is way more impressive than I had imagined it." Kurt added.

Juna nodded. "Yeah, and it's not just the building. The doctors here are the best of the best. Patients with complicated illnesses and injuries come from all over for treatment."

" I recall they're receiving funding from Remiferia." Cedric said.

"I've heard that since the annexation, they've seen an influx of patients from all over the Empire." Jusis replied

"There doesn't seem to be that many people as far as I can see." Altina said.

"The security's a joke in this place." Ash added. "I thought that military and political types were supposed to be coming in 'n' out of here."

Musse hummed. "Imagine they keep those paticular patients behind closed doors."

"Anyways, let's begin searching, but not too loud." I said.

We started exploring by going into the cafeteria part, we then went upstairs and to the outside to see a wonderful view of the lake and forest before going over to a pair of doors, ready to go inside.

"So, what's this place?" I asked.

"I'm pretty sure this is the medical college's research building." Juna replied. "I mean, I've never been inside before, but still."

"Hmm, could this be where Valerie is?" Musse asked.

We then heard a limo arriving, we turned back to see an imperial general that look familiar and...Rufus.

"Oh joy... Look who decided to visit." I muttered. "Wait...the elderly man with him...he reminds me of someone."

"The Commander of the Imperial Army, General Vandyck." Jusis said. "Until the year before last, he was the principal of Thors Military Academy."

I gasped. "What?! The former principal is back on military service?!"

"W-Wait, they're coming our way." Juna said.

"This isn't good. We need to hide." Kurt added.

"There you are."

"This way, all of you."

Two people called to us and we saw who they were.

"Huh?" Altina asked

"Is that Grace and...Valerie?!" Venti asked in surprise, seeing that Valerie was in a nurse outfit.

"We can talk later. Come with us." Valerie replied. "If you don't wanna be found that is."

We nodded and followed them both to an undisclosed part of the hospital to talk more easily.

"Whew! That was a close one, Valerie." I sighed with relief.

"We knew we'd be able to find you somewhere around here, but..." Altina paused

"Pfft. Didn't expect you to get all Nuse Naughty on us in the progress." Ash smirked

"All right, All right. Keep it in your pants. The staff here let me hide out with them the second I mentioned Linde." Valerie replied. "I figured I may as well fill in for her while she's still missing. That's all."

"I see. That makes sense." Kurt said.

"So what brings you here, Grace?" Venti asked

"Well, I heard of a very major scoop. One involving two very VIP people." She answered.

"They're here to visit a patient." Valerie said. "One who finally woke up a few days ago. Someone very important to them. But not just to them...to the entire Empire of Erebonia. And that's no exaggeration."

I gasped. "You don't mean Emperor Eugent III?!"

"You mean Father!" Cedric eye widen

She nodded.

So the Emperor was able to pull through in the end...I couldn't help but feel relieved, and I can see Cedric tears coming out. I'm sure the Empress and Alfin are overjoyed to hear that, wherever they are. I hope to meet them again soon, so I can have my other question answered.

"Oh, you found them. Good work, Valerie." A voice said.

We turned around to see a nurse enter the room.

"Not a problem, Chief Nurse." Valerie smiled

"C-Cecile?!" Juna cheered

"Long time no see. Frantic as always, aren't you?" Grace asked

"Oh, you know me. Still, it's so wonderful to see the two of you again." Cecile smiled "And to the rest of Class VII: It's a pleasure to meet you all. I'm Cecile Neues, the chief nurse on staff here. I've heard all about you from Valerie and Lloyd."

"You know the Special Support Section, then?" Kurt asked.

"She does." Juna nodded. "She's kinda like Lloyd's big sister, in a way. The two of us are neighbors."

"And speaking of the SSS, I've been hearing your name a few times, Levi." Cecile said. "You must have helped them out, if you're in their good books."

"It was my pleasure." I smiled. "Still, I am getting a bit embarrassed about it though."

Juna laughed. "Come on, Levi. You're practically friends with Tio and Randy already."

"Anyways, I guess the rumors are true?" Grace asked. "The other patient?"

"Yes, they are." Cecile replied. "As a matter of fact, he asked me to show you to him once you arrived. Which I'll be perfectly happy to do, after the supreme commander and governor general are gone. How does that sound?"

"Well..." Altina paused because we knew that Ash had a run in with the Emperor, but that was because of his curse.

Ash however, wasn't hesitant. "It sounds great to me. Lead the way, babe."

It took a while, but when we heard that Rufus and Vandyck were gone, Cecile excorted us to one of the VIP paitent rooms, and we went inside to greet ourselves to him. I'm so very happy he's alright after what happened.

"My sincerest welcome to you, Class VII of Thors Military Academy." Eugent said to us. "You'll have to forgive me for being underdressed given this is a reuinion of sorts."

"Father! Oh thank Aidos…" Cedric sniffed

"Cedric my son. I am please you are with Class Vll as well. I'm glad you are here."

"Your majesty." I replied as he bowed to him. "It brings me great relief to see you're recovering well. I'm sure the Empress and Princess Alfin are relieved to hear, I assume."

"Ah yes, the day I woke for the first time in weeks. They were at my side, I'm sure you can imagine the amount of tears that fell, once I saw their faces."

"Yes...but Your Majesty." I look down with sadness. "While I am filled with great relief. I cannot say the same for Prince Olivert. I owe Prince Olivert a debt, and I couldn't bare the guilt of what happen to you and him. He was my friend… along with Princess Alfin and Crown Prince Cedric. The Imperial family was so kind to me… who even help to find out my identify… I couldn't find a way to repay the debt they have done for me… I swear I'll find a way to repay that debt… by protecting you all. But in the end… I failed...twice."

He raised his hand to stop me talking. "Levi, there is no need to belittle yourself. You have done all you could. While it is a mystery why you suddenly fell unconscious, Some of the circumstances were beyond your control. So please, don't speak ill of yourself."

"Your Majesty..."

"It's a tremendous relief, given the circumstances." Jusis smile.

"Yes. I'm grateful that Aidios granted me the opportunity to meet with you again." The Emperor replied. "And to be united with my son."

"I normally wouldn't allow visitors for a patient in his condition." A doctor said. "But as this is a special case, you've got ten minutes. If anything happens, come see me, Nurse Neues."

"Yes, Doctor." Cecile replied.

The doctor left, I guess she's one of those mute-attitude types.

"It's wonderful to see how well you're recovered, Emperor Eugent." Kurt said.

"Yes. Although as you can see, it hasn't been an easy journey." Eugent replied. "I've been briefed on the majority of what occurred while I was unconscious. About the start of the Great Twlight, about the death of my son... the coming war with Calvard. And as of what my wife has told me, about your powers, and your journey to find your identity, Levi. All of which leads to the same outcome...the coming of our very end."

"Yeah, I'm always worried about that. Who am I… why have I lost my memories… why do I have such powers within my veins… I will find them out someday… but until then… we need to get Rean back." I said.

"I see. Even knowing of its approach, I regret that I must leave this mess to you young men and women to resolve. As the emperor of Erebonia, I formally apologize."

"P-Please, there's no need to- Wait, what do you mean?" Juna asked.

"Did you mean to say, that you knew this was going to happen beforehand?" Altina added.

"Correct. So it is written in the Black Records passed down from one of the Imperial Family to the next." Eugent answerd.

"That's what Thomas said to us before about the Black Records." I said. "Rean said he was gathering those up whenever he was on a journey."

"Yes. The records provide a rough chronicle of everything leading up to the Great Twilight. The Empire's dark history, stories of the Divine Knights, and the Dark Dragon...it also prophesied that a sacrifice would be made, and the path to the Gral would open."

"I'm sorry..." Ash said quietly. "If only I had been stronger, none of this would have happened."

"You are not to blame, Ash. The sin is not yours to bear. This has been brought about by the Empire's curse. By that measure, both you and I are the same. What matters now is what follows. Until now, everything has gone according to the Chancellor and the Gnomes' plan. But the Black Records stop where the Great Twilight begins. What happens next is a tale yet unwritten. There still remain paths that not even they could have foreseen. Including the path you've chosen, Lady Mildine."

"Oh..." Musse said.

"So you were already aware…." Jusis said.

"Please, take this with you." The Emperor handed out a document and Juna took it.

"What is this?" Juna asked.

"A document containing the whole truth as I am aware of it. The same truth I shared with your instructor." He then laid down in his bed. "I am giving it to you in the hopes that you may find the third path that Olivert sought."

"I'm sure it will be of great help to us." I said. "I wish I could say more, but I feel our ten minutes is up."

"There is no need, Levi. Now then...that will be all. When you find your Instructor, find a way through..."

He closed his eyes and started sleeping away.

"Looks like he's fallen asleep." I said to the group. "Let's go, team."

We left the room and then back to the undisclosed room to carry the conversation in regards to the letter we got from the Emperor. Cecile then got a call from another nurse . Once she left. We heard Cecile gasped

"I-I thought you'd left already." Cecile exclaimed

"The governor general has, yes. However, I realized I had one last matter to see to here." The familiar voice said on the otherside of the door. "I will be perfectly frank: will you allow me to speak with Class VII."

Me, Jusis and Gaus look at each other and nodded

"Very well. Nurse, please let the gentleman in." Jusis replied

And then came in now is Principal... I mean now... General Vandyke.

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, new Class VII. I do hope you'll forgive me for barging in like this." It was General Vandyck. "Heh, and if it isn't some of the old Class VII! My, how you've grown. You as well Your Highness."

"Greeting Principle." Cedric smile

"It's been too long, Principal." Jusis said.

"It's wonderful to see you again." I smiled

"P-Pleasure to make your acquaintance." Juna paused

"We've heard much about you." Kurt replied

"Come now, there's no need to be so nervous." Vandyck assured. "I've wanted to meet all of you for quite some time. M, you all have fire in your eyes. That's good. You remind me of young Schwarzer when he was a student. It's truly a shame he could not be here with us."

"You were with the governor general earlier." Altina said. "You're the one in charge of the war with Calvard, so perhaps you know-"

"Unfortunately, I have no idea where he is. My role pertains solely to events on the surface. As per the orders...of Chancellor Giliath Osborne."

"The war with Calvard is now completely inevitable." Musse said. "And behind that is the thousand-year-old curse on the Empire. But despite all this, you're prepared to fulfill your duty?"

He nodded. "I am. Such is what it means to be a soldier. Even if the coming consumes the entire continent...even if it consumes the entire world. A soldier puts everything on the line for his country. Generals Craig and Vander hold the same convictions."

"I see, that may be the drive to become a soldier. But we'll show you that we're different." I said. "It's just like the Emperor said, we need to find our own path, and we will find it. And right now, our path leads to finding Rean and bringing him back to us. As long as we have faith in our goals and faith in ourselves, we will find the path that will one day put an end to the curse. On our honor as Class VII, both as graduates and students of Thors!"

Everyone else nodded in agreement.

"Exactly. We're not the type to be so easily dissuaded." Musse nodded

"Every step we take bears the hopes of His Majesty and all of our friends behind it." Kurt nodded

"I am certain those hopes will lead us to him." Altina nodded

"He's more than just the Ashen Chevalier. To us, he'll always be a member and Instructor of Class VII."Venti smiled

"Honestly, it's a total crapshot whether or not this'll actually get us anywhere." Ash said.

Vandyck and Grace then left the hospital. Cecile and Valerie assured us that they'll watch over the Emperor. We left the hospital, as our next destination was Lake Elm. We made our way through the forest and took a left turn to enter the Lake Elm Wetlands where dozens of blue grass was present.

"Okay, we're here. Time to see if we can find that singularity." I said. "That said, this feels very different."

"Yes. The magical presence is strong here." Gaius added. "Let's be careful."

We made our way through the forest, but the moment we turned a corner, there were guards that were part of the IDF, so we couldn't go any further. We left the wetlands where Juna then got a call on the ARCUS, she put up the video and we saw the last student we hadn't seen.

"Stark! You're okay." Venti said.

"Haha, hey there, Levi, Your Highness and Class VII. Sorry for calling you out of the blue like this." Stark replied. "I just made it to St. Ursala Hospital right now. Can I get you to come back and meet me?"

We agreed to go back and we met up with Stark.

"You're finally here. Sorry for calling you out like this." Stark apologized.

"Don't worry about us. Where have ou been all this time?" Juna asked

We all heard you're in Crossbell." Venti nodded

"I was collecting data from various regions and happened to catch wind of your exploits." Stark answered "Valerie and the others told me everything... Oh, and you're gonna need this."

We turn and see the Orbal Boat.

"An orbal boat?" Kurt asked.

"It would be impossible to break through the Imperial Defense Force head on." Stark said. "And riding up the shore in this thing's only going to attract more attention. But if you cross through Mishelam, then you might have a chance at breaking through the blockade."

"That's right. The south of Mishelam opens out into wetlands!" Juna nodded

"Oh, I get it now." Venti replied. "Instructor Rean would be impressed with that amount of detail."

"Nobody makes a plan like he does." Valerie said.

"Things are looking a bit more hopeful now, wouldn't you say? We'll set out once you're ready." Jusis added. "Once we leave, we won't be able to return for some time. Make sure you're fully prepared."

We made quick preparations before getting on the boat, and Juna volunteered to drive as the rest of us sat close together. After the long boat trip, we finally arrived at the resort area of Mishelam where we docked the boat nearby.

We begin to sit down. For a better situation.

"They are for everyone's sake." Alan nodded. "I'm grateful for that. Things are going crazy as it is. We're going our best to make sure we don't get ship into the front lines."

Then Alan got up and then left. And then we begin to reunite with Bridget who spotted us. We begin to have a few talks with her and there. She's relieved that Alan hasn't changed. He hasn't fallen victim to the curse either. That's good news to hear. But the bad news is that she hasn't heard from Vivi and the others who disappeared. What are they up to? We begin to asked if she seen Juna's father through a photo and she has. She saw him in the park. After that. we begin to head to the park.

We began with the area where the Ferris Wheel was. So let's hope we can find him. But nope. Next was the castle of mirrors which had a fortune-telling section inside, reminding us of when we bumped into Beryl. We went inside and got a chance to explore the place with giant mirrors. When we got to the top, we entered a fortune teller room and on the table...was the very same girl.

"Heh heh heh, I sense you were to approach soon." Beryl said.

"Hello to you to Berly." I sweatdrop.

"Perhaps it was the will of fate that allowed us to meet again, heh heh heh."

We sweatdrop and then we begin to talk with her.

"So you knew we were coming as usual?" I asked

"Of course. Our pink-haired friend is looking for her father, is she not?" Beryl asked

"Th-That's right. Can you read my fortune?!" Juna asked

Then Berly use her divination as her orb glows.

'Three encounters and one of them is you... Ah. Bridget, Alan, and you. But who's the other one?' I wondered

"Perhaps you may have luck searching areas you have not yet been to. Your reunion will come after the final encounter. That is all I have to say."

Hmm... who is our last encounter. Honestly. she's that good.

After that interesting encounter with another fortune being told, last up was the Horror Coaster, and no sooner did we walk up to the top, someone came barging out of the exit door. And it was Anton again. So he's our last encounter. so Juna asked him about her Dad, but he was somewhere else.

We went back to the Wonderland center and we saw a huge Mishy costume greeting many tourists. As the show went on, we then noticed a man with glasses. We had a look at the photo she had and it was the same person we were looking for. We took the conversation elsewhere, hoping to find a way into the wetlands.

"So, Matthew. Do you know of any routes we can take to get to the wetlands?" I asked.

"Ah yes, there's an area marked for development of the Mishelam Resort." Matthew replied. "We received a memo from the governor general's office that the place was out of bounds. Even people who work in the resort aren't permitted to go near it."

"I see." Kurt said.

"This whole seems pretty fishy to me." Ash added.

"I don't know anything for certain, but i'm sure it's not a safe place. Are you still planning to go?" Matthew asked.

"Yes. we are." Juna replied confidently. "We have the strength and resolve to overcome any danger. And we WILL get Instructor Rean back. And Crossbell. I believe that it's connected to where the Empire's headed."

"Juna..." I smiled

If that's the case, take it." Matthew then gave her a keycard. "The door that takes you to the wetlands is located at the tip of Lakeside Beach. This should open the door."

"Thanks, Dad!"

Her dad then hugged her. "Oh, Juna. You've been stubborn as a mule ever since you were a little girl. You just go wherever your heart would take you, be it the police academy or Erebonia. But that's what makes you the wonderful young woman you are. The one your friends rely on. The one who won't let anything stop her. I only pay that Aidios will keep my darling daughter safe."

Juna hugged back. "Thanks..."

They pulled away and Matthew bowed at us. "Everyone, please look after Juna for me."

"We will." Kurt replied.

"I mean, it's Juna, so it won't be easy, but I'll try." Ash remark

"Hey! Watch your mouth, Ash!" Juna pouted

"All right everyone, Let's go. Time to head up the beach and find that door." I declared.

Matthew said goodbye to us and we made our way to Lakeside Beach, the view was wonderful, but we didn't have much time to take it all in. We took a left turn and used the keycard to unlock the door. We went through and it lead us to a dark forest, this was the wetlands for sure.

"We're finally here and there's more of that grass on this side." I said.

"Is there any reaction from the pendulum?" Altina asked.

Juna brought it out and it begin to glow.

"Then it seems we found our singularity location. Let's get going." I Advised before I sense someone's presence. "But we should be very careful. I can sense someone at the far end, but I have no idea who."

We begin to head our way to the singularity location. I remember this place well.

"This place has an aura almost reminds me of the forest around Eryn." Musse said.

"Yeah. I had no idea there was even a place like this in Crossbell." Juna nodded

"Well, there are legends about Saint Ursula that talk about this place." I said.

"Let's not forget about the wolf." Venti added

"Yet almost like we never left home." Cedric replied

"Seeing this place, you could almost believe the story of Saint Ursula and the wolf really happened." Kurt replied

We battled our way across the wetlands. taking down some monsters blocking our path.

"Hmm? I sense something... Something familiar..." I trailed off.

"Familiar?" Juna asked

"Yeah. Something is happening here."

We soon reached a large area with something shining in the center.

"What in the world is that?!" Cedric exclaimed.

"This must be the black Pleroma Grass." Altina said.

"No, not that, I mean the pillar of light."

"Wait... I recognize that." I said. " It's like the same one we saw in the Old Schoolhouse. And the same with the Ironbloods."

"Wait, what?" Juna asked

"I remember hearing about that from Instructor Rean." Kurt said. "Overcoming that trial allowed him to awaken Valimar."

"Yeah, you're right… wait…" I said then pause for a moment then realized. "Oh crap! So THAT is what they're planning!"

"You guys are pretty sharp, aren't you?"

Oh, that voice...in the center...Campanella appeared.

"How curious, though, to run into you all the way out here."

"Y-You!" Juna growled

"It's the Fool." Musse said.

Then, a second person joined alongside him.

"Lechter!" I clared

"Hey, we meet again, Class VII." He said. "I'm glad to see you're all well, then again, I can't imagine you'd believe anything I'd tell you right now."

"Well, what did you expect after what happened at the Gral?"

"Scarecrow..." Altina glared angrily at him.

"You asshole!" Ash exclaimed.

Suddenly, a third person entered the fray, she was familiar but the attire was different.

"Wait, is that..." Kurt paused.

"Sh-Sharon." Juna muttered

"How lovely to see you again, Class VII. Or perhaps I should say, 'pleasure to meet you' as I am no longer the Sharon you knew. I am once more Ouroboros' Enforcer No. IX, The Severing Eclipse." Sharon Replied

"Spare us the full title." I cross my arm. "Whether you are an Enforcer or not doesn't matter. All that matters is that you turned your backs against us. Surely you haven't forgotten how much it stung poor Alisa."

She remained silent.

"I thought so… even I'm stung by the betrayal. You have no idea how much it hurts. Now for that pillar of Light. Rufus is in there, isn't he?"

"Heehee, right on the mark. But not just him. Liam is in there too, guiding him. Honestly, that's why I was so surprised to see you here." Campanella replied. "The governor-general made a deal with Heiyue to keep the SSS and bracers busy so he could finish his business here in peace."

Even HE's here?! Ugh back in Lamare and now he's guiding him to the Divine Knight?!

"We know they'll betray us eventually, of course. But you can't play in the gutter if you're afraid to get dirty. And what harm's a betrayal if you know it's inevitable? Besides, someone might have seen to it that their group can wipe out Heiyue and the SSS all at once."

"Yeah, pretty much. Thing is, when Claire, and I failed to save Millium, it messed us up pretty bad. I think we both looked to her as a replacement for the family we'd lost. Osborne, on the other hand, was the man who took that family from me. I joined the Ironbloods thinking I'd be able to outsmart him, and avenge my dad, but the man operates on a higher level. I mean, a thousand-year-old curse, the Great Twilight. When those are the stakes, who the hell can compete?"

There was silence after all that, but he continued.

"But you need to understand, he unleashed the Great Twlight to end the curse afflicting the Empire. He's taken it upon himself to uproot and reset a power that was all but impossible to fight back against. So I made up my mind. "Valid point." Lechter replied. "That power of yours repels evil, doesn't it? You did try to purify the Holy Beast. If that were to happen. Then all of Osborne's and the Gnomes' plans would have been in ruins. I was kind of hoping you would succeed. But Liam steps in and stabbed you."

"That was an illusion to make Rean be in grief. I will make Liam pay for that. Although I don't know what happened when I suddenly blackout. I will tell you this though. I will stop at nothing to save Erebonia… no… the world from Erebonia's Curse. And I will strike Osborne down. And if you side with him. Then you will become my enemy. "Ah, to see old friends fighting against each other. Really gets you right in the heart. But maybe I should step in to REALLY amp up the drama." Campanella said. "I could do with a little fun. Especially after I let Lady Bell have the SSS and the bracers last time."

"Shut up! Just shut the hell up!" Juna exclaimed. "I've known this since we met at Orchis Tower, but you...you're the worst! None of this involves you, and you still choose to make things worse for everyone with that crappy little grin on your face! Sharon and the major are both struggling to make choices they can stand by. But what about you? Do you think about a single thing you do?! Does anything even matter to you?! Then, you go on to mention the one who betrayed Crossbell. It's time someone knocked that grin off your stupid face."

I then got my Glaive out. "Enough talk! We'll strike the three of you down, and we'll stop Rufus's plan. And we will take Rean back! No matter what!"

"That's exactly right." Kurt agreed as they all got their weapons out.

"I have to admit, that one kinda stung. You're getting a bit hot under the collar." Campanella replied. "My role as Enforcer No. 0 gives me much less freedom than my companions, you see. Personal stakes just aren't on the table for me."

"Maybe I'll follow suit and pull out all the stops, too." Lechter said. Then he has that symbol in his eye… I won't hold back.

My combat link with Jusis hasn't change and then

"All for one! Sacred Wings!" I command and then my brave order activates and then I charge at them and let out a powerful slash and then we end up clashing with each other. Ash, Altina, Musse were facing Sharon who was evading their attacks and launch her steel wires at them. While Juna, Kurt, Altina were dealing with Campanella and I, along with Gaius and Jusis deal with Lechter. Lechter uses that power of his to enchants his strength and battle prowess as he slash us and I end up slashing with him and then I stab my Glaive on the ground and then leap over it and kick him as he pushes back while Jusis trust strikes at him and let a wide green slash at him and Gaius let out his craft onto him and push Lechter back.

Then Lechter-

"Have a taste of this, Riot Flame!"

And suddenly I felt a shadowy power take out the brave order and then he launched a counter attack onto us.

"What the- the brave order!" Juna exclaimed

"This is the Ironblood version of Brave order. Dis order. It's overpowered yours. You won't be able to use your brave order now."

"Oh, we'll see about that!" I growled and then I use Supercell Plunger but-

"Switch-a-roo!" Campanella switch with Cedric.

"Wha-!?" Cedric panicked

"Oh no, you don't!" I snap my finger and swamp back Cedric and Campanella.

"Say wh-!"

Then I interrupted Campanella panicked and land a strong Supercell Plunger onto the two enforcers and Lechter and then Jusis follow up.

"Ah, no fair Levi!" Campanella complain.

"Said the trickster who like to swap places with people." I rebuttal back.

"Have a taste of this!" Juna then charge and bash onto Campanella's face and push him back and then I let out a powerful slash and push Lechter and Sharon back as the battle continue to fight. But then Venti use his Supercell Craft and drag again and trap them into a wind slash attack and we all gather and slash them.

"My my, Master Venti's wind certainly is troublesome." Sharon said a she use her craft on those who were close to her target and strike at them.

"I'll say. I wasn't able to cancel or escape from it." Campanella added

"That's why it's a supercell. You get drag right in." Venti chuckled.

As the battle continues and we end up slashing and battling as I toss my Glaive at them then leap over them while the rest are striking our opponents, while I strike from behind. Campanella was a tricky and dirty fighter as ever with his magical attacks. Sharon with her skills. And Lechter and his rapier skill or Court Fencing. Campanella cast seven orbs onto us and strike us hard. I use Elemental burst on them and then Cedric trust and then slash through them while I let a powerful wide slash and push them back.

"Not bad. Not bad at all." Campanella said. "But Angel boy here is holding back his strength. Honestly, it does hurt."

"This ability of mine is pretty broken, but you really kept it up." Lechter added.

"A splendid performance, everyone." Sharon replied

"Hmph. Flattery won't help you. I rather not waste my full strength until I gain a proper challenge." I scoff.

"I have to admit, I'm really impressed. You've all come a long way in the past month. New Class VII especially. I'm guessing Angel Boy trained you all well. Still, I have to wonder what you're trying to achieve with your little trek around the country." Campanella said.

"Or maybe it's not the barrier you're interested in at all. Maybe it's the Black Pleroma grass." Lechter guessed. "Could it be that you're hoping to find some clue as to where Rean is?"

"None of your business you trash."

"Ah, so that is it. No wonder you're all fighting so desperately." Sharon said. "But be warned, he is imprisoned far from here, in a place of pure darkness and despair. Consider it a mercy then, that I will crush you here and now."

Suddenly, a pair of new soldats showed up, and the whole situation got even worse.

"Those are the new models we saw before!" Altina exclaimed

"That's right. 'Zauber Soldats,' I believe they're called?" Campanella replied "A joint venture between the Black Workshop and the Reinford Group. A brand new weapon of war for the world to enjoy."

"If the Empire's largest company and the Gnomes are working together..." Musse paused

"Shit, that's one last combinations." Ash muttered

"I swear, I'm going to destroy any disgusting machines of Alberich's." I growled "Sharon, explain this!"

"While i'm no longer affiliated with Reinford, I can tell you that these are no ordinary Soldats." Sharon answered

"As proud soldiers of the governor general, we cannot let this stand!" One of the Imperial Defense Force said.

"Major Arundel, allow us to apprehend these miscreants."

"Ah well, if you insist." Lechter said.

"Just know they won't go down without a fight, through." Campanlla added

"Of course we won't! Allie!" Juna respond

Altina called for the five soldats that appeared. Kurt, Juna, Venti, Ash and Musse got inside their soldats as their own battle began.

"Panzer Soldats... So the reports were true!" One of thems aid.

"So be it! An army of them wouldn't still be no match for our Sorges!"

"Then you two are more stupider than I thought." I scoff.

"What was that?"

"Little mutts like you think they're invisible simply because they gain some new toys. I'll let the students show you how wrong you are." I scoff

"You little!"

"We'll make regret those words!"

Then I've noticed empowered up. So they're like Magic Knights, Huh? All the more reason to destroy them.

And so I stood and watch as Juna and the others begin to take on these disgusting machines of Alberichs. Many slashing and firing. The Zaulber are just powered up by Magic. But even it can be severed. Once the students have shown them who's more superior we won.

"They're down!" Juna replied

"Heh, we had them outnumbered from the start!" Ash said.

However, I've something was wrong

And soon I see they're being swallowed up by the cursed. So that's how it works.

"Hello, Jusis, Your Highness. What a pleasure to see you and Class Vll again." Rufus greeted. "I had a feeling we'd meet soon. Those who seek opposing goals are bound to cross paths after all."

"Are you done being sarcastic? So now you're the Awakener of the Auric Knight, huh? I take it Osborne already knows about that?"

"Yes and no. Lord Liam was the one who told me before the chancellor. He was the one who guided me."

"A pleasure to see you all again. You have done well making it this far. With that all of the Divine Knights are ready to take the stage." Liam replied. "Judging from Juna Crawford from inside her Soldat. She's probably wondering why an Imperial Weapon appeared in Crossbell."

"What are you a mind reader!?" Juna exclaimed

"The trial grounds have little regard for the normal rules of time and space. They can appear anywhere throughout the empire. This became a potential site the moment that Crossbell became a province of Erebonia. It's as simple as that." Rufus explain. "This land has a storied magical history. The moment it was annexed, I began scouring it for a sign. And here, on the cliff overlooking Lake Ebel, this overflowing font of mana, I succeded in invoking the trial. El Prado, he who embodies eternity, has finally awakened! The final Divine Knight walks the earth once more!"

"And that's also why Magic Knights and cryptids appeared in Crossbell. Including the Spirit Shrines. Any territory of the Empire is bound to let bound to have some manner of chaos." Liam added
