Sequel to Trails of Cold Steel III - Year of 1206. The Great Twilight has been brought forth to bring the end of the world. However, Levi vow to deliver judgment to Osborne, Alberich, The Ironbloods, George and Ouroboros, and find a way to destroy the Curse of Erebonia and the Ebon Knight Ishmelga. Together with Rean, Class VII, and their allies to put a stop to this.

13. Pantagruel invasion

Dateline, August 26th, 1206.

(Trails of the Azure ost - Heavenly Chariot)

The next day arrived and we were in the cafeteria room, along with Elise and Tio who were now with us.

"Everyone, allow me to extend my thanks once again." Elise said.

"Me too. You really saved us back there." Tio added. "Though I'll admit, it was a little fun helping the Professor out."

"R-Really? I've never heard anyone say that before…" Tita said.

"For cryin' out loud…. I guess If anyone ever could, it'd be Tio Tot for sure." Randy sighed. "Big weight off my shoulders gettin' you back, though. I'm sure the kiddos feel the same."

"Definitely. We all do."Towa nodded

"Well, I'm glad that Michael and Schmidt are back to helping us again, along the with main campus students." I said.

"Yes. I'm glad my friends in Class I are back to our side. But I can't let them be under Osborne's thump." Cedric frown.

"Agreed. They are kids after all. I can't let them risk their lives on Osborne's charade."

"Welp. I'd say we've hit a good point for me to split." Agate said. "Still no news from Scherazard, but I should probably get in contact with Estelle and the others."

"Okay. They're still on the east side of the Empire, right?" Tita asked.

"I'm not goin' back to Crossbell just yet, but we should get in touch with Lloyd and them, too." Randolph said. "How 'bout you, Tio Tot? Bet you're itchin' to head back home?"

"Yeah, it sounds like Jona's been having some trouble without me." Tio answered. "Plus, I'd like to see KeA. And Lloyd and Elie, too."

"Josette's already set off somewhere else with the Bobcat, hasn't she?" Machias asked

"Yeah, it looks like the family has some business to take care of elsewhere." Alisa answered

"Speaking of elsewhere, has anything happened in Crossbell?" I asked.

"Well, as it happens, yesterday's events have caused another increase in surveillance." Gaius replied. "It's particularly risky over the eastern regions. I'll try to hash out a workable route, but no promises."

Juna sighed. "That bad, huh?"

"Well, we did stir up a shitstorm and a half over here." Crow said.

"The bastard Ironblood must be raising the security around him. Guess that means he ain't takin' this so well." Ash added.

"Well, we won't ask you to do the impossible." Randolph said. "You can wait, right, Tio Tot?"

"Of course." Tio nodded. "I can help out around the ship in the meantime."

"I guess that goes for me, too, but aren't things gonna get a little cramped in here?" Agate asked.

"Y-Yeah. This isn't exactly the biggest ship around." Tita nodded

"Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it now." I sighed. "If only we had something as big as the Courageous. But please don't worry about it as well."

"Yeah, no one's going anywhere." Rean said. "Not while we're wanted on the ground."

"We're getting to the point where we need to think about our next course of action, though." Sara added. "We got everyone back. That takes care of our original goal."

Laura hummed. "I assume we'll need to find a safe place to split up from. Unfortunately, the Imperial Defense Force seems to have a strong presence in Legram right now."

"Th-They do, huh?" Elliot asked.

"Hmph." Duvalie folded her arms. "The nerve of those scumbags to hail from the same place as my lord. Sickening, the lot of them."

"Bareahard's no good either." Jusis said. "It's essentially Imperial Defense Force territory at this point."

Alisa nodded. "Same story over in Roer. You think they're prioritizing the east, maybe?"

"Well, it would make sense. Since Calvard is to the east as well." I replied.

"In that case, this could be just the opportunity we've been waiting for." Musse said.

"Huh?" Juna title her head

"What do you mean, Musse?" Elise asked.

"I sincerely apologize for the interruption everyone." Rosine spoke over the speakers. "I've just received a transmission for Musse. Well... For all of you, actually."

Ash frowned. "Oh, come on."

"Honestly, Musse. Your timing is impeccable." Alfin said.

"Seriously." Venti chuckled

"Guess we should've seen it coming." Angelica added.

"Pure coincidence, I assure you." Musse replied. "It's nothing to be afraid of, really. Though I do think you may be surprised. It should settle everything we were just discussing in a single swoop."

"Really now?" Tio asked

"Y-You mean, about meeting up with Estelle and Renne, and everyone else?" Tita asked

"What are you planning?" Altina asked.

"Something shady, obviously." Celine sighed

"It's fine. I think I know where this is going." Rean replied.

"Rosine, can you patch us through?" Gaius asked.

We then saw the monitor switch on, and it was Aurelia.

"Ah, good. You've already gathered."Aurelia said. "Schwarzer. Sullivan. Class VII. I see you've kept busy this past week. Herschel, Russell, Lady Elise. A pleasure to see you again. Your Highnesses and Lady Angelica...I'm glad to see you both unharmed."

Towa nervous laughed. "Thank you, Principal."

Tita also nervous laughed. "Thanks, you too!"

"Same to you through I kinda caused a bunch of trouble along the way." Angelica sighed

"I'm glad to see you're safe as well. General Le Guin." Alfin added. "Musse has apprised me of the situation."

"Your concerns honors me, Your Highness." Aurelia said.

"So what's the situation?" I asked

"I'm certain Lady Mildine has covered everything quite thoroughly, but there's something I'd like to speak with you about, nonetheless. We will be holding a special meeting of sorts later this afternoon. I do hope you can join us."

"A special meeting?" Alfin asked.

"That is correct. I would like all of you to attend. Both Class VIIs, as well as the Liberl and Crossbell teams. I expect you'll find it a reunion to end all reunions."

"What'd you say?!" Agate asked.

"Hold on a sec, Principal!" Randolph said. "You can't just spring this on us all of a sudden!"

"A reunion to end all reunions." Tio muttered.

"So you mean, everyone we were just talking about... Are they...?" Tita paused.

Musse giggled. "I'll just leave that up to your imagination. Though some of the encounters awaiting you may be beyond even that."

"Um, would you mind giving us a hint, maybe?" Elliot asked.

"You mean we're going to be attacked by our foes along the way to our meeting?" I guessed.

"That seems possible." Venti replied.

"It's fine, we can leave it be." Rean said. "We'll find out ourselves soon enough. The whole picture behind this Operation Mille Mirage, that is."

"Ah, so that's it." I sighed

"Enacting it would result in casualties unimaginable. But it may be the only choice we have." Kurt said.

"Must be one hell of a plan to draw folks in from all over." Crow added. "Which begs the question, where's the venue?"

"There's only one place I can think of..." Alisa said.

I nodded. " Same. It can't be anywhere on ground. The only option is within the air. And to hold a party large would be The Pantagruel."

"You may give your response to Lady Mildine." Aurelia said. "For now, I'll assume you're all coming and prepare accordingly. Farewell for now."

The transmission then ended.

"So then, what shall we do?" Musse asked. "There's no guarantee we won't run into some degree of danger, given the nature of the location. We can always pretend this conversation never occurred, should its prospects leave something to be desired."

We looked at each other and we all nodded in agreement.

"Let Principal Le Guin know we'd be honored to accept." Rean declared.

"But to do that, we first have to know where it is we're heading." Alfin said.

"Of course, of course." Musse replied before she got out her Arcus, and then on the monitor screen, we saw a detailed map. "Here it is, a neutral airspace above the borders of Erebonia, Calvard and Liberl. The flagship of the Weissland Army, the Pantagruel, will be arriving there this afternoon."

"Well, if we're going to charge into an ambush over there, we'll need to be on red alert." I replied.

We then broke off, and while Rean who agreed to let Juna and Kurt be his escorts this time, as well as a few others went off to do requests. And Rean requested my presence.

And so we begin to do the quests. And then we went to the witch Dallier on the hot spots quest. Then I notice the hot spring… holy crap. Look at it. That is not normal. We learn the spring is linked by the spirit veins to hotspots on mana throughout Erebonia. And the Twilight most likely corrupted it. I could purify it, but I'm curious about the hotspots and the proper purification ritual. As we accept. We have been given three Ash stakes and begin to look for one in the Osgilath Basin, one in Milstante, and one in Bryonia Island.

And so we are off and I teleported everyone to the Osgilath Basin and we begin to look around and we found it.

"This must be the place. Didn't take us long to find this one." Juna said.

"Yes, it's just like the hot springs in Eryn. It must be connected to the spirit veins." Kurt nodded.

"Right, shall we place the Ash Sta-" Then I notice Rean's was thinking. "What's wrong Rean?"

"Ah, I see. It's the same place…" Rean said that for some reason.

"What's the same place?"

"I was passing through on an assignment for the government. I went out one night to do some training and discovered this spring. No one was around, so I got right in and enjoyed myself for a while. Of course, back then it wasn't this weird color."

"Really?" I frown. "THAT'S what you were thinking about? You just randomly just dip on the hot spring after training?"

"Considering how much we know our instructor. I shouldn't be surprised." Venti replied.

"Yes, our hero has… how do I put this… often lost to himself." Cedric replied with a sweatdrop.

"Anyway, when I came back the next day, there was no sign of it anywhere." Rean replied

"Well, now that you mention it. It wasn't like this when we came in here." I recalled.

"I asked around town, and they said it sounds like a 'Fairy spring' from their old folktales."

"Huh. So it must be connected to the spring in Eryn then. Considering the fairy tales. I suppose it makes sense."

"Anyway, let's drive in the stakes Dallier gave us." Juna said and then we place in the Ash Stake on the Spring.

Next, I teleported everyone to the Milsante Byroad and then we begin to walk around and look for it and eventually we found it.

"I wasn't expecting to find one here of all places." I replied.

"Yeah espcually in the wild that is, right?" Juna nodded

"Right. This place has to be connected to Eryn through the Spirit veins."Kurt nodded.

"This is a pretty choice spot." Rean said that.

"What do you mean?" I asked. Wait… why do I feel like I was going to regret that.

"It's close to the tracks, but not out in the open, so it still feels private. The wild rolling over the hills and the sound of the occasional passing train could really add to the atmosphere."

And we all sweatdrop again.

"Aidios, I've forgotten how much of a hot spring enthusiastic Rean is. I regret even asking." I sighed with a palmface. "But I don't blame him considering where we are. It reminded me in the Spring in Nord."

"Focus, Levi. Let's drive in the stake that Dallier gave us." Kurt reminded me.

"Oh right. Thank you Kurt."

And so we place in the second one and then teleport to Bryional Island. We begin to explore the caves and whoa. A large pool of it was found.

"Wow. Another unexpected thing that appeared. And judging by it. It's definitely connected through the Spirit veins." I replied

Rean hummed "A naturally-occurring hot springs… nature sure is wonderful. It's a good size, too, considering it's connected to the other side. Once it's purified, we should all come back here and-"

"Aaaand we lost him again." I frown. "Through granted I won't deny what he said is true with nature and all of this hot spring bathing. Oh great. Now I needed a hot spring."

"A-Anyway, we should get on with driving in the stakes. Let's work which side we need to do it from."

And with discussing and all that. We're done. And I teleported us back to Eryn and report to Dallier.

"I see you've driven the three stakes in as I requested. Magnificently done." Dallier smiled. "We should begin the purification ceremony at once. Rean, if you would?"

That got our attention.

"Me?" Rean asked

"Yes, you. Your status as a Sacrifice to the Twilight allows you to synchronize with Erebonia's spirit veins more readily than most. Entering the spring and unifying your heart and soul with the waters will make the ritual that much easier."

"Huh. That's interesting." I hummed.

"Through it'd be ever more effective if you entered in with a partner."

"A partner?"

"You mean…" Rean asked

"W-Wait a sec! You can't be serious!" Juna light blushed.

"Er… Does it have to be someone of a particular gender? Or someone exceptionally special to Rean?" Kurt asked

"Those things are of no relevance whatsoever. This ritual aligns the macrocosm of the world's spirit veins with the microcosm of humanity, causing them to resonate together. The process is simply easier with two participants rather than just one. Buuut if you want to talk about someone special. I would go with Levi."

"Wait, me?" I blushed.

"Yes. After all. Your radiant power can cleanse the Twilight and even harmony the macrocosm of the world's spirit veins and microcosm of humanity. Which makes things not only much easier. But very effective without any cause of concern. Adding it will be your power. I won't have to use my magic for it. But considering just to play it safe. I'll guide you and you'll eventually remember it."

"I see…" I turn to Rean. "So, what do you decide Rean?"

Rean thought for a moment and then… "Well… I think it should be us, Levi."

"Ah, I see. Okay. I'll go get ready." I nodded with a light blush.

The two of us begin to head into the shakes and then put on our bathing suits and then we walk out together. Then we begin to dip into the spring at the position.

"We truly are a special type of people aren't we Rean?" I asked as I smiled.

"Yeah, we sure are." Rean smiled. "Okay, let's get this started, shall we?"

I nodded and then me and Rean begin to wrap our hands together and close our eyes and then channel my power as Dallier is guiding me. And then we begin to harmony the Spring and cleanse it and then it is done. And me and Rean look at each other and smiled. Not only we did it but… we also relax together in the spring.

After that. We begin to do our other Quests with the family. After that is the monster in Avon hills. After defeating that one. I notice something about it is otherwordly. Anyway. With all of that done. We headed back to the ship. We begin to split up and I was around deck.

(Levi Second Bond event)

"Oh, Hey Levi."

I turn around and then I see Rean.

"Oh, hey Rean. Here to look at the sky with me?" I asked

"Not really. Was exploring around for the time being. So what brought you out here?" Rean asked

"Well, a lot in my mind. I'm happy that Michael is following the path he has finally chosen. And I'm proud of our hatchlings and the main campus students as well. They grew right before our eyes. Reminded us back when we were students." I smiled

"Yeah, they have really grown a lot for the past months. I'm happy as their instructor… and you as their assistant." Rean smiled

"Yeah. I honestly felt really happy right now. For Michael, the main campus students, and our class VII. They all come a long way. If Michael really chose the path which lead our enemy. He would no doubt be crushed by my heel."

"Oh boy…" Rean sweatdrop.

"Oh, hey Rean. Can I ask you to go somewhere with me?" I asked.

"Huh?" Rean look confused. Then he think about it and then nodded. "Sure, where do you want to go?"

"Somewhere with large enough space." I answered

-At the Osgiliath Basin-

Rean and I arrive at Osgiliath Basin where me and the class fought those monsters Liam summoned.

"This is where you fought the monsters Liam summoned right?" Rean asked

"Yeah, this space should be enough." I nodded.

I turn around and then brought out my weapon.

"Rean. Duel me."

"What?" Rean look surprised

"I've been curious about the curse that is within you. Actually, I would also like to use your dark power as the sacrifice." I said

"Why so sudden?"

"Well… it's to see the process… and if you're able to continue withstanding it and not lose control of yourself." I answered.

"Ah, I see. Very well then." Rean nodded and then he got into his fighting form and then unleashed his demon unleashed.

"Good. Now, let us fight!" I shout.

Rean and I clash with each other and cause quite the force. Rean launched his sword and slashed onto me but I repel it as I swirl my Glaive in a defensive formation before launching an offensive move by slashing to my left and right and then a strong swing. Rean dodge it and then launched a projection at me. I block it and then use Penetrate Hurl and he dodges it. Once it reaches my hand. Rean launched his attack on me and I took some damage. And then I use Elemental Burst onto him and he taken damage. Then we begin to clash with each other with our weapons. We push each other back and then we begin to zig-zag each other. As Rean launched a slash to me. I dodge as I jump into the air. I switch my Glaive with my Bow and then shoot Arrows of Light. Or rather Luminescence Rain onto him and push him back. Rean use his Arcane Gale onto me and push me back. I draw Rean in with Spiral Pillar and strike him. I swirl and launch some fast jab attacks onto him but he repels some of them. Then Rean launched a wide slash onto me. And then charge and I prepared a counter-attack, however, he knew I was going to do that which is why he attack me from my open point. Looks like he has improved much. Because of that, I was pushed back and taken some serious damage.

Rean put up a better fight. It seems that I was right to add my power to those clothes of his back then. It did repel the backlash on him... Yeah… it work out better than I hope if he was able to keep it up for this long. But the problem was... Oh geez. I put away my weapon as Rean noticed I put my weapon away and call off his power.

"Levi?" Rean asked

"Looks like I don't have to worry after all…" I sigh with relief

"Worry? Worry about what?" Rean asked

"It's about unleashing your power. I was going to try an experiment to see how long you can continue using your power, due to my power repelling the backlash. And since you are able to continue to fight for this long, I say it's a success. However… I begin to notice that because of my power preventing you from going berserk… you won't be able to develop a strong will… And if you do go berserk with a small fraction of my power within those clothes… I was hoping that I can help calm your mind and build up your will. You might be able to control your powers without fail and without my help." I explain.

"So that is what you are planning." Rean said.

"Yeah. Sorry about that Rean. But you don't have that strong will just yet." I apologized as I sighed.

"Nah. It worked. Sort of." Rean said.

"Huh?" I look surprised.

"I may not be able to fully control it just yet. But I can tell you my mind and will have slightly sharpen. Thanks to you." Rean explain.

"Really? Phew, I was honestly hoping for some good news at least." I chuckled.

"Me too, thanks Levi. Thanks for helping me with my power for me to control it." Rean smiled.

"Of course, it's no problem at all." I smiled. "Let's head back, the others might be worried."

"Yeah." Rean nodded

As me and Rean return to the ship.

(Liam's pov)

(Cedric's Support 1)

I was wondering when will a support for Cedric will happen. Considering how it was with-

"Oh, Your Highness." Rean said as I can see he and Cedric are in the Training Room. "Are you training alone?"

"Yes. I was planning to work on my form." Cedric answered. "I still have a long way to go before I can reach Jusis and Rufus's level."

"Oh that's right. Rufus taught you most of Court Fencing, correct?" Rean asked

"Yes. I need to be more practice on both my forms. I want to be like Rufus who holds mastered both offensive and defense forms. I blame my curse fragile body back then. I'm a beginner level. Nowhere near intermediate level like Jusis."

"Well, it takes time Your Highness. We're still learning the path of the swords."

"I suppose your right. Hmm..." Cedric close his eyes.

"Is something the matter Your Highness?" Rean asked.

"Oh no, I'm all right. Just thinking for a moment."

"Well if this is about your form, why not ask Jusis to assist you?" Rean suggest

"Ah yes. But may I request that we find somewhere else to train?" Cedric request

So this is their bond event, huh?

Rean asked Jusis to go with him and Cedric to Old Agria Road open area.

Jusis and Cedric are on the opposite as Rean will act as the referee. And so Cedric and Jusis begin to clash with each other. They both landed some jabs and graceful court fencing techniques to each other. The battle begin to end for 3 in a half minutes. Cedric lost as Cedric panted.

"That was impressive Your Highness." Jusis praised as he withdraw his sword.

"Thank you, Jusis." Cedric got up and withdraw his sword. "May I ask what do I need to work on?"

"Well... if you would permit me to be blunt. You're more focused on your offensive rather than your defensive. Which you are unable to react on which you are able to riposte. In addition, you're more focused on empowering your techniques rather than focusing on finding an opening."

"Hmm, I see." Cedric sighed.

"I apologize if I overstepped my bounds."

"No need. You gave me exactly what I needed to hear. Honest feedback. I need to be more adapt more freely to an enemy's movement in battle. I need to be more improvisation but mustn't lose focus. I need to work on both my forms in balance."

"Indeed. This is why Rufus is a master of Court Fencing."

"I understand. In that case, I now know what to do."

"I'm honor to be of service to Your Highness."

"I take it you got what you've learn, Your Highness?" Rean asked.

"Yes. I must offer both you and Lord Jusis for assisting me on my flaws." Cedric smile. "I have much to learn as you said. I was perhaps so hasty."

"Hasty?"

"Yes, I was so focused on wanting to reach an intermediate level that I lost track on which improvisation to take."

Cedric look up at the sky. "As well as an open mind on both and soul. Olivert often say something like that. I was so hasty to avenge him on the people who took his life that I was becoming reckless."

"Your Highness..."

"It's quite all right. I'm here to help you in Olivert's place. And as your subordinate now, Rean. I will do just that for the Rivalry." Cedric smile. "My brother has help Class VII far to many times. And now I must be clever and quick thinking as he is. Who knows. I might be able to surpass my brother at some point. But right now. I'm still a student and beginner level. I will be counting on all of you to watch my growth."

"Of course Your Highness." Rean nodded as he smile. "We will be right there with you."

So that's his bond event, huh?

Once Rean got back along with Cedric and Jusis. We begin to wait for a while. Soon we all begin to regroup on the bridge and the airship was traveling over to the neutral airspace that was over the borders between Erebonia, Liberl and Calvard. Just in view, were a pair of small airships and The Pantagruel itself.

"Merkabah Unit 8, this is The Pantagruel. You have been given permission to land. Please follow the beacon." A voice said on the communications radio.

"Understood. Initiating automated boarding." Rosine replied.

"Wow. We really are over a three-way border, if only just barely." Machias said.

"The nonintervention zone should span the entire surrounding area...supposedly." Agate added.

I nodded. "Hopefully...it's been a long time since I was on the Pantagruel."

"Not much chance for interfering when you're straddling three entire countries, huh?" Randy asjed

Sara nodded "Yep. Plus, It's off the invasion route into the Republic. It makes for a pretty effective blind spot."

"But did we really have to go all the way here just to find out what Mille Mirage is about?" Juna asked.

Just then, a smaller ship came into view, a landing craft for the Pantagruel, and then a gunship that I hadn't seen before.

"Scout ships from the Pantagruel, and more from the northeast and south." Laura said.

"Northeast and south...Calvard and Liberl, I assume?" Venti asked.

Altina nodded. "That makes their origins clear, geographically speaking."

"But in that case, the ship coming from the east must be..." Elliot paused.

"...a new state-of-the-art military gunship from the Republic. Courtesy of the Verne Company." Alisa finished.

"That's right." Tio agreed. "Complete with a higher carrying capacity and expanded cruising range."

"So many people, from so many different regions, gathered together for one purpose." Emma said.

"I'm guessing each ship has ...?" Cedric paused

"Indeed. Important figures from each one of our neighboring countries." Musse replied. "The Kingdom of Liberl, the Principality of Reiferia, and even the Republic of Calvard. And if all goes to plan, we'll have a few special guests from the Bracer Guild and the SSS join us, too."

The front door of the Pantagruel opened and the airship went inside, docking next to the bobcat. We then all left the ship to walk onto the frontal dockway.

Ash sighed. "Been about a month, hasn't it?"

"Oh right. This is where you escaped from, right, Ash?" Kurt asked.

"Wow this ship is huge." Juna said. "Hey, that's the Bobcat II!"

"It's just like Josette said." Altina added.

"So you showed up after all."

A pair of soliders and General Bardias then arrived to greet us.

"Brigider Geneal Bardais. You're looking well." Rean responded.

"As do you, Schwarzer, despite everything General Le Guin and Miss Clotilde tell me you've been through. Your Highnesses. Lady Angelica. It's a pleasure to have you back safely with us."

"Thank you, Brigadier General. We appreciate it." Alfin smiled

"Indeed. Thank you for coming to greet us." Cedric added

"Who'd've thought we'd be meeting here on the Pantagruel like this." Angelica said.

"Agreed. Things have taken a real turn since Ordis' last provincial council. What happens here today, could very well change the course of history." Bardias said

"W-Wow... 'The course of history?' " Machias asked

"Quite the assemblage, then." Jusis said.

Musse nodded. "Indeed it is. In fact, some of our guests have already arrived. Though many of them are simply here to observe."

"Follow me everyone." Bardias said.

We followed him and the soldiers from the dock area and made our way to the guest area.

"Wow...the guest area." I said quietly. "This brings back memories."

"Yeah, this was where we were, when we were captured by the former Duke Cayenne." Rean added.

"I was about to say that." Juna said. "You, Levi and Allie were here before, right?"

"It's a bit of a long story, but I shall not reveal the details of Instructor Rean's misconduct during that occasion." Altina answered.

I covered my laughter as Rean sweatdrop.

"Really?" Elise said with dry look.

"Rean, what did you do?" Alisa place her hands on her hips.

"It was a misunderstanding!" Rean exclaimed. "Levi, you were with me! Tell them!"

"Okay, buddie~" I chuckled. with a smirk. "It's true it was a misunderstanding. His curiosity just got the better of him."

"How does that help me out?!"

"Heehee. Even Altina was joking with you back then. All we did was talk to the people who were in the Pantagruel at the civil war. To get information, that's all."

"I can't deny that they were both getting some information at the time." Altina nodded

"Hmm... well if you say so." Alisa replied

"This also brings back memories." Alfin said. "Rean carried me in his arms once."

"Oh, right, I forgot about that." Crow added. "Man, there was a lot going on that day."

Duvalie sighed. "I doubt anyone there that day expected that sort of...daring escape from you."

"All right I think that's enough teasing for one day." I intervened. "Sure I was with him when that happened, but come on now. He's not a ladies man."

"Hehe, oh we know, Levi." Towa said. "We all know who Rean is and we all like him, and that we cherish our friendship with him."

"Damn, he said all that with a straight face?" Randolph asked.

We then turned to see the SSS and the Bracers arrive as they came towards us.

"Well, I'll be." Randolph said quietly.

"Heh. Took you guys long enough." Agate added.

In front of us were Estelle, Joshua, Renne, Lloyd, KeA and Elie.

"Long time no see, Tita." Estelle said.

"Have you grown a few rege, or am I imagining things?" Joshua asked.

"Estelle! Joshua! And... and ..." Tita paused.

Renne giggled. "Hello again, Tita. Remember our promise?"

"Renne!"

Tita rushed up to hug both Renne and Estelle.

"Oh you guys...! You have no idea how happy I am to see you!"

Estelle sniffed. "Don't you go get me started, too!"

Renne sighed. "So melodramatic...and here I thought you two'd have grown out of this by now."

"You're one to talk. I can see you getting a little choked up, yourself." Joshua said. "Seems like you've been holding up pretty well, Agate."

Sara, Fie and Agate joined in the convo with the Bracers while Randolph, and talked with the SSS. Aww, what a happy reunion too. So we have bracer team and Crossbellian. Juna with her idols.

"Oh, right! Alisa, Levi! Over here!" Juna called out for me and Alisa.

I approached the SSS with Alisa.

"What's up?" I asked

"Elie! You look amazing. It's been too long." Alisa smiled "I'm so glad yous guys finally got the chance to reunite."

"Thank you, Alisa." Elie smiled. "Though I don't think I look even half as good as you. Allow me to congratulate you and Levi on your reunion as well."

"Aww, thanks." I smiled

"Speaking off, It's nice to see you again Levi." Lloyd replied. "Thanks for helping Randy and saving Tio, you're fast becoming a hero to us, you know."

"A hero to you guys? I don't think I'm worthy of that."

"Nonsense, Levy. Not only do you save Llyod and the others and use your powers to escape the birdcage, but you help me save Tio-Tot. And that's quite the accomplishment."

"Well yeah, but..."

"It's true." Lloyd nodded. "We owe you our thanks for saving us in Operation Birdcage. Things would have become pretty dicey if you haven't appeared to our rescue. Although things aren't off the hook yet. We owe part of that freedom to you."

"Well... It's because was Rufus did was an injustice. Not to mention a cruel move on his part. You and the others don't deserve such a thing. It's felt right to help you."

"Even so. You help us more than we can be caught on. So thank you, Levi."

"Aww, all right, I suppose I can accept the praise I've earned." I nervous smile. "Still, I'm glad to see you're all safe and sound again."

The Bracers and the SSS looked at Rean.

"I suppose I'd better introduce myself for those of you who don't know me." Rean said. "My name is Rean Schwarzer, graduate of Thors Military Academy, Class VII. Elie, Estelle and Joshua. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"The pleasure is ours." Elie replied. "Alisa's told me quite a bit about you already. Perhaps a bit too much, actually."

"Wh- Elie…" Alisa blushed.

"We definitely know you by now, after all the stories we've heard." Joshua said. "From Tita's letter, and Renne. Even Olivier and Toval."

"I see." Rean nodded. "It's no surprise you knew His Highness, but I wasn't aware you knew Toval, too."

"Yep. We met back on our first trip in Erebonia. He helped us out a bunch." Estelle said. "It's good to meet you, Rean. This has definitely been a long time coming. Don't worry. You can loosen up around us. We're the same age, more or less, right?"

"Haha, got it. I think I'll take you up on that."

"And the same goes for you, Levi." Joshua said as he held his hand out. "We didn't get to talk last time, but I wanna say that any good friend of the SSS, is a good friend of ours."

I smiled and shook his hand. "Thanks, Joshua, and Estelle. We'll be looking forward to working together."

"Yeah! For sure!" Estelle smiled

"As are we." Joshua smiled

Rean and Joshua shake hands while I shake hands with Estelle and Rean shake hands with Joshua. Rean and I turned to Lloyd.

"It's been a while, Lloyd… How have you been?" Rean asked

Did I notice some concern in his voice?

"Busy, to say the least. It's been crazy this past year and a half." Lloyd answered. "I really owe you and Levi help during Operation Birdcage." Then Lloyd offer his hand to Rean. "I'm sure I'll get the chance to return the favor, through to you two. I get the feeling we're gonna be seeing a lot more of each other. From here on, Rean, we fight on the same side. As equals."

I notice and he seemed hesitant to shake his hand. I suppose it's understandable, based on what Rean told me when he and Altina met Lloyd and Rixia back in Crossbell over a year ago.

"Honestly...I'm not sure if I deserve to shake your hand." Rean said. "I'm sure you've heard...about what I've done. The mistake I made."

"Rean..." I look sad

"It's my fault that the curse spread throughout not only the Empire, but Crossbell, too. It's the same with North Ambria and Jurai as well, even this awful war with Calvard. I have no idea how I can even begin to apologize-"

"No, Rean, that's wrong." Lloyd interrupted. "It's my duty as a detective to look beyond what's on the surface. You wanna know what I see? I see that this was all a setup from the very start. Nothing you could have done would've possibly changed the outcome. I see a man who, despite it all, never fell to despair. A man who continues to push back, even at this very moment. Not just for Crossbell, or even Erebonia, but for the world itself, and all who reside in it. Within you lies the strength of countless allies, helping you move forward through whatever may come. I'd like the SSS to be a part of that Rean. To be one of those allies there by your side. Empire or Crossbell, where we're from doesn't matter anymore. Now, we're fighting for the world itself. "Of course, our situation is grim as well. And it's only going to get worst" I said. "But the more allies we have, the better the chance that we'll survive this whole ordeal."

There were nods of agreement from all of us.

"Right on time. Is everything ready?" Musse asked.

Aurealia nodded. "Bracers of Liberl, Special Support Section. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Aurelia Le Guin. Well met, all of you. I'd love to chat with each of you individually, of course, but time is of the essence. I suspect our other guests are anxious to get things underway."

That was when the other VIPs guests turned up, including the two ladies we encountered a few weeks back. Well, I saw Kaela back with her quest. As the introductions were exchanged. I listened carefully Two more VIPs then showed up and with that, Calbard President Rocksmith and the Ruler of Remiferia, Albert. And then Liberl princess join as well as the man next to her. Princess Klaudia and a Divine Blade Cassius Bright. Whoa. The VIP meeting was underway with Musse, Cedric, Alfin and Elise attending because of their obligations.

The rest of us were still in the guest area whilst the Bracers and SSS broke off with us.

"This feels more like a summit than an informal meeting of concerned parties." Elliot trailed off.

"Yeah, but Jusis and Angelica must have know this was coming, right?" Alisa asked

"Yes- Musse planned to include representatives from powers outside Erebonia right from the beginning." Angelica nodded

"Though we had no idea who exactly would be invited, or in attendance." Jusis added

"Turns out Operation Mille Mirage has many influential backers." Towa trailed off.

"And the Lieutenant General of Liberl is among them." Rean nodded

Kurt hummed "Cassius Bright. The tactical genius who stopped the Empire's invasion during the Hundred Days War."

"After the war, he left the army and worked as a bracer for a while." Laura replied "He and my father were good friends."

"I think I remember something involving them around... four years ago?" Fie wondered

"Right, when multiple Erebonian branches of the guild were blown up." Sara nodded "When the anomalies started in Liberl, he rejoined the army."

"And now they're all chit-chat with the president of Calvard, who country's about to get invaded by Erebonia." Crow said. "That Musse is an excellent matchmaker."

"She even reached out to Remiferia...wow." Juna added.

"Remiferia's in a similar situation as Liberl right now." Machias said. "The Empire's pressuring both of them to allow the army safe passage through."

"Neither are particularly willing to do so, but they fear retaliation should they decline. Refusal could be construed as siding with Calvard." Emma pointed out.

"And considering Erebonia's strength as well as many soldiers with those disguising Zauber Soldats… they had no choice." I muttered

"Small nations can't afford to be assertive against the overwhelming power of the belligerent Erebonia." Duvalie added

"Yeah, that'll probably the main topic of discussion today, I think." Rean agreed. "While those nations can't openly oppose the Empire, we, along with the bracers and the Special Support Section, are more free to take action."

"So what can we do in the meantime?" I asked.

"This is a good opportunity to speak with the other parties involved." Gaius suggested. "Not just Liberl and Crossbell, but Remiferia and even Calvard, too."

"Indeed. There is no better time for us to exchange information." Altina nodded.

"It's also the ideal time to speak one's mind freely." Jusis added. "After discussions have concluded. I'd like to speak with the grand prince and the president myself."

"You've got guts, I'll give you that. Though I wouldn't mind exchanging a few words with them, either." Machias said.

"And I'd like to talk with Elie, if there's time." Alisa replied. "Hm, and even Crown Princess Claudia, too."

"Right. Speaking off. Ash. I know this isn't my business but… don't you and Joshua go way back?" I asked.

"Look, that ain't confirmed, and I really don't remember him." Ash answered.

"Someone's denying it." I whisper to Rean.

"Still, you two might want to talk and clear things up." Rean advised.

"Yeah, that's what this thing's all about, isn't it?" Crow asked.

"There's going to be dinner after the main talks." Elliot said. "We can talk about more personal stuff then."

"The principal invited us here, so there's no point in acting like wallflowers." Towa added

Angelica nodded. "Yep, let's make the most of it."

And so we begin to split up again and then while I am talking to the others. I decided to join talk with Ash, Kurt, Joshua, Agate, Venti, and Renne.

"Hey guys. Mind if I join in?" I asked as I approached them.

"Not at all. A pleasure." Renne replied. "Agate told us that you put on quite the light show back at the Gnome's workshop."

"Ah he told you that, huh?"

"Yeah. I was damn impressive. Where you summon a giant bird made out of golden light and some elephant warrior." Agate replied.

"I wish I could have seen it myself. That reminds me. Didn't Ouroboros call you Angel boy or something?" Joshua asked

"Yeah. Probably because I spout angel wings for show, and my powers are radiant or primordial or something. But I've also been called the Silver Angel or the Golden Angel." I answered "For Silver Angel is my silver aura and Golden Angel for my powers."

"Those title suits you." Renne said. "Though if you have Blond hair. It would make you memorable with that handsome face of yours."

"You think so, huh?" I blushed as I scratch my cheeks.

"Then again, the Golden Raksasha has silver hair and she's a beast."

"True that. I have a feeling we will get along just fine due to our looks. That reminds me. Are you and the students are glad to have your friend and instructor back?" Joshua asked

"Yes, very much so. It was only possible thanks to everyone's help" Kurt answered.

"Agate's was pretty impressive with that sword of his. Really see where he got the name, 'Heavy Blade'." Ash replied "Those two weren't bad either."

"I might have taken a couple of swings, but I was just one of many taken part in Operation Bust Rean Out." Agate relpied.

"Same goes for me and KeA. Maybe our timing was lucky, but credit goes to everyone equally." Renne replied.

"Yeah. We owe you all for the help." Venti nodded.

And then suddenly Renne look serious as she cross her arm. "Joshua, Ash… Don't the two of you have something important to talk about?"

Ah, I see where's she going.

"She's right. Don't put it off." Agate nodded. "Everything's going to shit right now. There's no guarantee you'll be able to see each other again."

"I have to agree as well. I think this is a good time to talk about that." I nodded.

"I understand you don't want to talk about it or even deny it because you have a grudge against Joshua." Venti turn to Ash. "But this is the time to let it all out."

"Yes, you should sort things out now." Kurt nodded. "There's no denying that Raquel has become home to you, Ash… But I'm sure there's value in learning about the place that led you there."

Ash sighed as Joshua felt guilty.

"Hamel was just a small village. It had no more than a few dozen inhabitants." Joshua said about the past of Hamel. "As a result, there were very few children living there. Loewe was the oldest at sixteen. My sister, Karin, was fiftheen, and I was six. But there was another boy, too. He was three years old."

So Ash was three years old back then, huh.

"He was too young to play with us much. But ever since he was a baby, we looked after him. I was looking forward to playing with him when he was a little older. He was almost like a little brother to me. But then those peaceful days abruptly ended. A group of Jaeger dropout posing as the Royal Army opened fire on the villagers. I watched on as Jan and Emilia were shot. There was blood everywhere… Their son fell to the ground, blood all over his clothes. We fled. We ran and ran, too afraid to look back. Survival was the only thing on our minds."

I can't blame Joshua for that… it happened so suddenly and fear took them.

"That boy didn't die, though. He had merely fainted from shock. We had no idea. Eventually, we made it out of the village. Loewe stayed behind to distract our pursers. He told me and Karin to keep running. But we got ambushed by another group of jaeger dropouts."

I hope those jaeger dropouts die in Gehenna… Ishmelga… how much more blood had you spilled and caused…

"That's.. truly heart-wrenching story." Kurt sadden.

"Yeah… To a peaceful village to a place frozen by time." Venti added as he express his sadness.

"I've heard it before, but it gets me every time." Agate muttered.

"That's what happened 14 years ago. At least, that's how I remember it." Joshua said. "That boy we left behind might have a different perspective on the events of that day. He may have hated us for escaping without him. And I can't blame him. The bullet you fired at Emperor Eugent should have been for me."

"Whoa, don't you think that's a bit too extreme!" I exclaimed.

"It's all right, Levi. It was a shock when I heard about what happened in Heimdallr. I realized the burden that boy from Hamel had to live with. But even though I felt immense guilt that we hadn't checked to see if he was alive- that we hadn't taken him with us- there was another feeling, too."

"And what feeling was that?"

"Overwhelming joy. I can't say how happy it made me when I found out he had survived."

"Joshua…"

"Thanks for being patient and listening to this long story of mine."

Ash shake his head. "Dunno why you'd bother telling me when it's got nothing to do with me, but… It wasn't entirely boring. I manged to stay awake till the end."

I chuckled "Heh. There's our Ash."

"Glad to hear it. Thanks Ash." Joshua smiled.

"So you done standing there and listening in, Rean?" I asked as I turn around and see Rean.

Rean nervous laugh. "Sorry about that. But the same event Joshua was talking about pretty much changed the course of my life, too, so it's at least a little relevant of me."

"Rean…" I said knowing his past.

"Why so defensive, Ash? I thought you said Joshua 'story' had nothing to do with you." Renne smirked.

"Oh, she's got a point there Mr. Bad boy." Venti also smirked.

"Tch…" Ash muttered

Agate chuckled "She's got you there."

"Whatever! Screw all that old drama! We got plenty of new drama we could talk about instead. For example… what's going on with you and Russell, huh?"

Yep. There he goes. That's one way to change the subject.

"Oh? Why don't you share with the rest of the class?" Renne smirked.

"Oh yes. Do go on." Venti chuckled.

"R-Renne, Venti, it's n-not like that…" Tita blushed.

And with that. I notice the time and decided to wonder and then I see that the VIP meeting is over. I see the Grand Prince and the President of Calvard is having a chat with him. I should probably leave them alone. And as a few minutes has past. I was asked by Grace for an Interview and asking me so many questions... My Instruct is telling me to run away. So I use a distraction and ran away. And then trying to avoid Grace who keep asking me questions. After managing to get away hide for a bit. Then I-

"Oh, there you are."

Rean, Crow and Duvalie came up to me along with SSS and the Bracers.

"Oh, Hey Rean, Crow, Duvalie. Llyod, Estelle and Joshua. Everyone else." I replied

"I was wondering where did you ran off. Grace giving you some hard time?" Rean asked

"You have no idea…" I frown "Grace has been bombarding me with questions about my abilities. It's a bit too much and I decided to ran off. Oh yeah… you still want to know about me and my powers, don't you? I think it's time I tell you about it."

We begin to the empty room and it was large enough for a group. And then I sit down And then after a long talk and chat and explaining about me to the SSS and the Bracers of my past and my history. As well as a little demonstration.

"Damn. You were found in Nord with no memories, huh?" Randy ask

"I can see why you kept this a secret from the society. People will do doubt find you unnatural." Lloyd added

"That explains why you have such divine powers. And this Makarov guy who mentors you on all those things." KeA replied

"This caretaker of yours is one secretly hermit…" Tio added

"But for you to lose all of your memories by the age you reach of seven… it truly is heartbreaking…" Elie sadden

"It's very messed up. I mean who in the right mind would dump you in a vast land in the middle of nowhere?" Estelle replied

"I can understand why Ouroboros wanted your power…" Joshua sadden "But what concerns me if Ouroboros plan on capturing you."

"Yeah, that's what concerns me as well. But there is no way I'm letting that happen. I won't allow any evil to use the advantage of my powers and magic." I replied.

"And yet your mentor allows you to like how he suddenly changes for some odd reason, yes?" Lloyd asked

"Yeah, I honestly don't know why or what he is thinking." I answered. "I knew him all my life. And yet the whole Thors things, and then recently telling me all of this. It's almost like he knew what is going on later in time."

"Is he someone who can use Clairvoyance?"Estelle asked.

"No. At least. I honestly don't know. But he seems to know what's been going on. Not only that. Back at Prince Cedric's Rivalry. He said that he's acquainted with that guy, Liam."

"Ah yes. The man who is cooperating with the Chancellor and Ouroboros." Lloyd said. "Despite his youth, he's exceptionally strong. We were having a difficult time facing him."

"You face him before?"

"Yeah. Back at Ordis Tower. He was crazy strong and that sword of his was no joke either." Joshua answered.

"Not only that. I can tell something about him feels otherworldly." KeA added

"Yeah, I get that too."I nodded. "The fact is Liam holds incredible power. That sword of his is otherworldly, just like his power. I feel like I have a connection with him for some reason. But not just him too… but Venti as well."

"One of the students, right?" Lloyd asked

"He's right. I also sense something similar to Venti. He's a fun guy. And I like him a lot." KeA giggled

"Yeah, he truly is a special kid." I nodded as I notice the time. "Looks like it's lunchtime. We can talk about this some other time."

Llyod nodded "Yeah, considering the meeting is going to start soon. Let's leave this off for now."

After that. We begin to head to lunch and have a nice chat with everyone. And after some times. We all gather to speak about Mille Mirage. Erebonia has large advantages and the entire war was all but a setup and excuse to take the new technology to the next level. Honestly, how clever yet despicable. All the nations aside Erebonia have enough soldiers of 1.2 million to counter Operation Jormungandr. And then leading this will be General Bright. It makes sense for a man of his strategic plan to lead the entire thing. But I notice something else too. I honestly don't know how but. I felt a gut feeling that a certain someone is eavesdropping. I had a feeling I know who it is. It seems our enemies have arrived.

"Question." I called out. "By any chance, was the firewall was strong enough to prevent any eavesdroppers?"

"The firewall? It should be? Why?" Lucy asked

"Because apparently, it wasn't strong enough. It been breach for some time." I cross his arm and glared at the screen. "I know you're there listening Campanella. Come out!"

"Hahaha. So you notice after all. Nothing can get past you."

Everyone was shocked and turn to the screen.

"Wait a sec-" Estelle got up from her chair

"Haha! Sounds like things are coming along nicely over here. Quite the illustrious guest list you have here. I'm almost starstruck." Campanella replied

"Indeed. It would seem the rumors weren't unfounded."

Then Mariabell appeared on the screen.

"Bell!" Elie called out

"The new Third Anguis of Ouroboros…" Musse added

"Lady Mildine. My greeting to you and all the leaders of all the world gathered here today." Mariabell said. "I see a number of familiar faces and some new ones too. My, how delightful."

"You must be Dieter Crois's daughter. I've heard rumors of what you've become." Prince Albert look disgust.

"A member of an international terrorist organization… Gracious me, the audacity of this woman" President Rocksmith added

"Whoa-ho! He really called it, huh, Lady Bell?!"

"Hah. You're the one to talk."

"I don't blame him for that comment."

Then appeared Shirley, Rutger, and Tartaglia on the screen.

"Heyaaa! This is some party you guys got goin' on!" Shirley replied

"Real swanky joint, too. Shame for you, Zephr's here to crash it." Rutger smirked

"Well, at any rate. We should be off right now. The main show is about to begin." Tartaglia advised.

"Leaders of the world. Apologize for the sudden intrusion. But we decided to greet for you operation Mille Mirage." Lechter said

Then they sign off. Ooh, I'm going to enjoy killing them.

"And here they arrived." I look to my left with a glare.

And then the Alarm begin to ring. And the battle begins. Once the enemies has reach close enough. Then we begin for a counter-attack. Unfortunately for them. I have a surprise for them. And all of them will pay.

We begin to head to the deck. As we arrived to the deck. We split up to 2 groups. The boys and the girls. We encounter Arcasiums and then we destroyed them. We enter a familiar area. This is where Rean and I escape with Princess Alfin.

"Oh, this place… the staircase past here should take us to the deck." Rean replied.

"Heh. Right. That's how you ran off with the princess two years ago." Crow smirked

I couldn't help but laugh. "Oh yeah! I remember that. You were so boldly how you held her in your arms."

"Ah, I heard about that." Joshua said.

Lloyd chuckled. "Wow, Not bad at all."

"I RESCUED her!" Rean exclaimed "Crow, Levi, don' go giving people the wrong idea!"

"Suuure, okay. If you say so." Ash smirked

"Okay. We can tease him about it some other time, Ash." Kurt replied.

Venti laughed. "I bet the girls are talking about it right now."

And then I notice a strong presence. "Look out above!"

And then bullets shot at us but we dodge them.

"Hmph. Nice dodge."

And then the Red Constellation appeared. With their monsters.

"Gareth the Blitz…" Lloyd muttered

"Damn, just our luck to run into a heavy hitter this early." Crow muttered.

"Can't say I'm too thrilled to see him again, either…" Randy added

"It's nice to see you again, too, young master." Gareth said. "And you have Detective Lloyd Bannings with you as well. It's been a awhile. And" He turn to me. "You also have Angel Boy with you."

"Is someone mad because he survive after I strike down your jaeger trash?" I scoff.

"Sharp tongue, I'll give you that. As much as I would like to. I know how dangerous you truly are. I won't allow the same mistake to happen again. This is my new hunting grounds. So you can forget about making it to the upper deck. I suggest you retreat."

"Hah. We don't know the meaning of that word. It's not in our blood."

"Levi's right. That's just not how we do things." Rean nodded as we draw our weapons.

"Yeah! The hell kinda wusses you take us for?!" Ash added.

"Mere strength in numbers won't be enough to make us yield." Kurt nodded

"That's right. You'll be the ones retreating, Red Constellation." Joshua replied.

"Ha! You wish Black Fang." One of them said.

"I've been hitchin' to take you and those chevaliers no for awhile. Having the young master here's just an added bonus. And we will avenge our fallen pals from you Angel Boy."

"Then you have chosen death." I replied. "It's kill or be killed, right? And in that case. Let see if you can survive. And since you're going to be covering from there… Luka, if you would?"

"Certainly."

And then Luka appeared in his giant formed on the platform where Gareth is.

"What the hell!?" Gareth explain. "A slime?"

"Yes." And then it open it's jaws. "And this one will be your death!"

And then Luka dodge while Gareth for force to jump down with the rest of the jaegers.

"Tsk. Damn… so be it. Men, ready your weapons! Let's see them withstand the sting of the Red Scorpions!" Gareth said.

And then we begin to battle the Red Constellation. I link up with Crow and then we both end up slashing with those Jaeger trash. Soon we begin to kill their monsters and after a bunch of gunfire and then dealt with Gareth's bullets. We manage to win.

"Tsk! The underdogs bite back!"

"Damn, I knew Angel Boy is strong but ugh…! They've forced us to retreat before. No one said it'd be easy."

"It's all good- we held them back long enough. Retreat for now!"

And then Gareth throw a flash grenade to escape. Not if I had to say about it. I snap my finger and a sphere engulf the flash grenade and teleported elsewhere.

"Wha-!"

And then I cast a spell and then a magic circle appeared and chain appeared from it and then chain the necks of the Red Constellation.

"Chains?!" Gareth exclaimed

Then I commanded it to slam them down.

"Capture compete." I respond.

And then snap my finger and then imprison them in a cage. Unlike regular cage.

"That will keep them from ever escaping" I said.

"You capture them and place them in a cage?" Crow asked

"They might hold useful information. And they'll be out on our way. Should I hand them over?"

"That would be for the best." Rean nodded

"I'll write the note." I replied and then pull out a paper and then begin to write it down and send them to Aurelia with the note. "That should do it. Let's go."

And then we begin to head out.

We arrived at the deck and our foes are gathered in one place. Perfect.

"Well, well, well." l step forward. "How nice of Ouroboros, Osbornes maggots including the bastard George to come here to me. It's like you're trying to make this easy."

"Nice to see you two Levi." Lechter said. "But wasn't expecting you to capture Gareth's man. Then again. I would expect that would happen with you around."

"Although a certain Ogre girl wasn't very happy about it." Rutger said.

"Like I give a damn about how Shirley feels about her comrades were captured or killed. And I'm surprised she wasn't bold enough to attack and demanded me to release them." I replied as I glimpse to Shirley who completely had that murdered look in her eyes.

"Oh believe me. She definitely wanted to charge at you. " Mariabell said. "But I stop her because knowing you, you have the perfect opportunity to either kill her or capture her. Since you never let your guard down."

"How wise of you. Although I won't deny that. However, if I plan on killing her. It would upset Randy. And I can't do that to him."

"Thanks Levy." Randy said.

Campanella laughed. "Kinda funny how we all have this boy-girl split going on, though."

"Not a whole lotta places for you to run here. Unless you plan on gettin' through all that." Shirley said as she turn her head to the fighting in the sky.

"Of course, you're welcome to join the air battle, but do you really have the courage and wings to fly?" Tartaglia asked

"But anyway. Why exactly are you all here? Are you here to stop us with Millie Mirage?" Rean asked

"Not exactly. We never plan on taking down the ship."

"So basically, you just want to give us all a warning on who we are up against?" Venti asked

"That's right. And because of that. Who are we to disagree when we can have some fun too." Campanella replied.

"We pedicured the Crimson Ark at the chancellor's request. After all who are we to deny his command?" Mariabell said. "Ohoho! The Grandmaster gave us the go-ahead of course, but I'd been looking forward to take it out on a spin for a while now."

"You really are a slave to your desires, aren't you? Must be a Third Anguis thing."

"Bell... What happen to you?" Elie muttered

"It's not like you're any better, Fool!" Juna growled.

"Furthermore, the gender split between us doesn't wholly apply with you here." Altina added

"We got our own path to find. A third one, just like Rean said. We're not letting you close it up that easily." Lloyd nodded.

"Right. If it's do or die. We choose to do." Joshua replied

"Hah… they're bringing out the inspirational speeches. Guess that means it's go time, huh?" Crow smirked.

"Oh yeah. And I'm looking forward on taking you all down." I nodded as I bring our my Glaive. "And Operation Jormungandr… well. Even Osborne knows that I have the power to stop it."

"That's also true. After all. Your power has can create miracles at will." Campanella replied.

"Yes. Osborne think he can kill me, I like to see him try."

"Counter it or not. Ouroboros is also here to capture you alive. However, we have a better playmate for you to play." Mariabella said and then snap her finger. And then an Aion, the one in Sutherland.

"Really? Me, against your Aion?" I eyebrow.

"Oh trust me. We would also love to take you on." Tartaglia said. "But the big guy behind us is more worthy to face you than us. You don't want to keep him waiting, won't you?"

"Tch. Cowards if what you snakes are."

"You flatter us. But do be careful, bullets and cannons are already firing in the skies." Mariabell said.

She's right, as I could see around me that allied and enemy ships were already attacking. The Pantagruel was firing as well on the giant red ship in the distance.

"Heh, but we won't get involved." Rutger said.

"Levi…" Rean look at me.

"It's okay, Rean. I got this." I said as I walk up and pass Rutger, Tartaglia and George and then stand against the Aion alone. And then I awaken my power since the Aion has a strong spiritual shield around it. "Rean, Lloyd, everyone. Leave the Aions to me. Focus on the others!" I said and then I charge at the Aion.

(Venti's pov)

"Understood, Levi!" Instructor Rean nodded as we will take on the foes in front of us. "Team A and B, prepare to break through on both fronts! Goddess be with us! Together, we'll overcome every barrier in our way!"

"Right!" We all nodded in agreement.

"Oh this is going to be fun." Tartaglia smirked

"You best give it everything you've got!" Rutger added

"I'm done showing mercy, prepare yourself!" George declared

I link up with Kurt as with me is Instructor Rean and Crow.

Before we fight. The Jaeger King and Tartaglia link up. Now the battle begin. I shoot arrows as Kurt charge and clash with Tartaglia and Instructor Rean and Crow take on the Jaeger King and George. I launched many arrows as fast as I can while all three of them either dodge or repel. Then Tartaglia launched a sharp attack onto me and Kurt. But the two of us dodge and I counter attack and Kurt follow up. Instructor Rean launch some slashes onto the three bosses and Crow follow up. But then the Jaeger King leap into the air and launched a strong attack, it left an opening for Tartaglia to attack. Soon George launched a laser attack. I use Wind Chain to support us. Instructor Rean, Crow, Kurt and I buff up and then we resume our clash and counter. As I fire and each of us are attacking each other. Tartaglia launched a wide slsh attack onto us but we dodge and counter. Kurt launched some slashes onto them. Follow up by me. And then Crow launched a powerful strike on them too and follow up by Instructor Rean. The Jaeger King launched a wide attack with George and Tartaglia. Tartaglia charge his bow into daggers and then clash with Kurt. Kurt was push back and then Tartaglia dodge a bullet attack from Crow and then I use Skyward Sonnet on them. We all launched a burst attack. I begin to cast a powerful Wind Art onto them and it was strong enough to push them back. Then Instructor Rean use his Gold Dragon Brave Order. The Jaeger King launched some bullet attacks onto us but Kurt counterattacked first.

"Let's Blow them Away Venti!" Kurt said for us to do a rush attack.

"Heehee, of course!" I nodded and Kurt and I charge and then he launched a swirling slash on them and then I fire my arrows into a vortex. The three foes were push back as Instructor Rean and Crow launched their own Rush attack.

"Ugh... They're stronger then I thought." George muttered

"Haha! Now, this is what I call a party!" Tartaglia laughed

"Wouldn't be fun if you wouldn't put up a fight." The Jaeger King added

(Levi's pov)

The Aion begin to attack and then I begin to counter and strike all over the corner. The Aion shoot lasers at me but I dodge them then counter with a Penetrate Hurl. The Aion fire a cannon blast onto me but I dodge that and then launched a wide slash onto it. Then launched an even wider and stronger slash. Knowing how strong Aions are. The Aion launched a fist attack but I dodge and counter it with use Water Nebula. Two waves of water rotate around each other and form a helix that strike the Aion with tremendous force. I then use Elemental Burst all over the Aion and then The Aion was weakened. Then I warp all over the Aion and then reappeared where I left off. I snap my finger and many phantom slashes apppeared all over, destroying the Aion.

"Why am I not surprised he destroyed the Aion." Campanella sighed

"Ugh... Well, we managed to meet up in the middle, at least..." Estelle said.

"Yeah. But otherwise, I'd say we're at a stalemate here." Lloyd added.

"Levi, are you okay?" Rean asked

"Yeah… I'm fine now. Thanks Rean." I replied

Just then, three Aions appeared from the Ouroboro's ship. One teleported to us and then punch me and send me flying to the wall.

"Argh!" I groaned in pain.

"Levi, no!" Rean exclaimed.

The Three Aion landed on front of me. Now I was facing off against three Aions at once.

"Oh, this is getting a little flashy." Rutger said.

"Oh, come on. This is just overkill." Lechter added.

"What do you think, Levi?" Campanella asked. "Have you had enough, or do you want more?"

Suddenly, the Aion was about to strike again. I dodge. The next Aion did the same and the next and I keep dodging them.

Okay… that's it… they're ACTUALLY PISSING ME OFF.

"I had… HAD ENOUGH!" I yell and then send out a shockwave and deflect their attacks.

I begin to awaken a small fragment of my power as I was surrounded by a golden aura. I raise my Glaive high and it imbue and extended its blade and glowing power radiated from it. I floated into the air and then went all out in attacking every corner of the other Aion from Sutherland before it was completely destroyed. The other two actions then directed their attacks at me, but I was ready for them.

"Hah!"

I then charged at the red flying aion, it tried to hit me fast, but it wasn't quick enough for my instant teleporting and zooming cause lighting speed slashes all over the Aion and the pieces fell through the clouds. The third aion teleported behind me.

Its attack was blocked as I block it with me my left hand. I then crush its hand with my strength. I broke its hand off. But I added a small gleam from my eye and lines appeared from its arms. And it shatter it's arm into pieces. it then fired several missiles at me, I launched a wide projection slash at the missiles which destroyed them and strike at the Aion gave the Aion from Lamare severe damage. I warm all over and reappeared where I was. Then Phantom slashes appeared all over and the Aion is destroyed in pieces.

"What?!" Campanella exclaimed

"He took down all three Aions?!" Mairabella exclaimed

I snap my finger and all the allied ships are all surrounded by a barrier. Next orbs and next appeared are the weapons. Swords, Spears, Axes, Bows, Guns. Draggers, Morning stars. The Orbs fire laser beams all over the enemy ships, causing them to explode. And the weapons charge at the enemy ships and take the lives of my foes and destroy their ships into pieces. Once all of them were gone. I pointed at Ouroboro's ship and then my orbs along with my weapons point forward their ship and then charge at it. The sphere begins to fire at Ouroboro's ship. However, the ship activated a barrier to protect itself. However, the sphere keep firing along with the weapons to cut through the barrier using my power. Once the Barrier was broken, the armament smash and slash the entire ship, following the orbs firing laser all over Ouroboro's ship. Ouroboros' ship soon got a massive boom before it shattered into pieces.

"The Glorious!" Campanella eye widen.

"It's destroyed!" Duvalie exclaimed

"Oh no…" Mariabell gulped

"Along with the ships they brought… that means Ouroboros and the rest are trap." Joshua added

I then death glare at my foes and the orbs and weapons pointed at them. Then forward my left hand and then a purple magic circle appeared as I begin to cast my next spell. Many chains charge at them and chain my foes neck. Then I pull back and the chains pulled them in from of me and slam them to the ground. Restraining them.

"Wow..." Estelle said in surprise.

"Incredible..." Lloyd added

"Is his power come from the Sept-Terrion?" Renne asked

I landed safely and the orbs and armament disappeared as I sighed. That certainly was tiresome. My power died down and I snap my finger and then trap my foes who are onboard all in separated spheres. With the chains on them.

"H-Hey! What's going on!?" Campanella exclaimed. "I can't move my body… am I actually bring detained?"

"Yes. The chains along with the sphere restrain your movement. As well as your powers, abilities, magic, and strength. You're under my prison sphere. It's unbreakable. But you can still breathe. I hope you all understand now. This is what I been training for." I replied. "While the war looms closer, so too does the end of the world. Unless I do something about it! Even if I and everyone on my side ends up standing against the world, we will never surrender to the ones who wish to see this all end! Even if my flesh falls from me, my will and spirit will continue on. No matter how strong and dirty our foes are. I will continue to fight to the very bitter end!"

"Hahahaha! Well said, Levi! You truly are the centerpiece of light" A distant voice spoke as I heard a familiar engine sound.

I blinked. "Huh?!"

We saw on our left a pair of small ships and a camouflaged crimson ship arriving, it looked very smiliar.

I couldn't believe it, it was indeed The Courageous, but it looked different. As it zoomed by and five people jumped from it and landed on the Pantagruel. One of them was Patrick, the other was a woman I hadn't seen before, Vita and Bleublanc showed up too.

"Where the hell did you guys come from?!" Ash asked.

"Hot damn. Talk about crashing a party." Crow said.

"What a shame. I was hoping to come to the rescue." Patrick said.

"Patrick?!" Rean exclaimed

"And it's not just him." Joshua added

"Schera?!" Estelle called.

"That's right. I hope you haven't gotten into too much trouble without me." She replied. "Sorry for dropping in out of the blue. I imagine it must be confusing for those of you I haven't met. My name is Scherazard Havery. But some of you might know me better as the Liberlian Bracer Guild's Silver Streak!"

So that's Schera, she looks pretty strong if she knows the Bracers.

"You're Estelle's friend, aren't you? We heard you'd been missing for some time." Elie said.

"So you're okay after all." Lloyd nodded

"Seem so." Renne nodded. "Though she's certainly not the only familiar face to drop in."

"I have to say, you two are the last people I would've expected to show up." Joshua added to Vita and Bleublanc.

I got mine out and I saw the man himself, despite having an eyepatch...Prince Olivert!

"Olivert…" Cedric said as I might take a guess that his knees collapse in tears. "I'm… I'm so happy… I… I…Olivert...my brother...I can't believe you're alive."

"I am happy to see you as well Cedric. You have grown strong in my absents, I'm glad you follow the path of light. And you Levi, I see you handling yourself just fine. And you even capture the entire invasion crew."

"Haha…" I chuckled as I get emotional as well. "I did… but I had to admit.. it was tiring… but what brought you here all of the sudden?"

"Heehee, if I may hazard a guess, perhaps he's here to join Mille Mirage." Mariabell said.

"Alas no." Olivert replied from his ship. "With Musse, Cassius, and all the other presiding dignitaries involved, Mille Mirage is in as good a set of hands as can be. I...or rather, we have appeared before you today for one reason, and one reason only. To serve as the wings upon which deliverance to a third path is granted."

I wondered what he meant by that.

"Jormungandr and Mille Mirage. Two massive operations of unavoidable consequence. Yet amidst these titans is another force. And then as all turn to the direction and then we saw Liam who appeared… on a flying horse!? It is unlike I've seen before! A white horse with glowing white eyes. A black saddle. Liam forward his arm and a wide green magic circle appeared from it and it concentrated blast of wind blades at us. We all taken covered.

"Ugh!" Estelle exclaimed.

"What powerful wind!" Tio stated.

"Is he going to blast us out of the sky?!" Elie exclaimed

Once the wind stop. We saw Liam was swirling his hands and then spreading his arms and a portal appeared above him and All of the invading crew appeared over him floating in the air. I gasped and turn and see they escape from my sphere.

"WHAT?!" I exclaimed

"No way…" Rean respond in shocked.

"Whoa, that was a close call." Campanella replied.

"Dear me… it seems we owe you one Lord Liam." Mariabell replied.

"Wha… how…. how did you-" my eye widen in shock. How did he do that?

"Well, things certainly took the worst turn for you guys. But sadly I have to come out and rescue you all, not that I don't mind. Too bad about your ship. I'm sure the Grandmaster of yours would like to hear an explanation from you Mairabell." Liam said.

"Oh don't remind me…" Mariabell sighed.

"Anyway, Osborne. Don't you think you should come out already?"

"Yes, indeed."

"I come to you today from the Imperial Capital. You'll have to excuse me for not attending in person." Obsorne said. "As for my fellow world leaders… President Rocksmith, Prince Albert, Princess Klaudia- my warmest greetings to you all."

President Rocksmith chuckled. "You're the last person I expected to make an appearance here today."

"Our greetings to you as well. A shame we couldn't meet under better circumstances." Prince Albert replied.

"I must apologize for not giving you prior notice of our visit." Klaudia added

"That'll be six days until D-Day." I said.

"Indeed." Alberich responded. " And preceding it, an omen of epic proportions, to which the entire continent will bear witness. The harbinger of the end of the world, the Great Twilight!"

"How naïve of you chief of the gnomes. A heartless idiot like you can't even understand that we will make sure that will never happen. I can't wait to tear you apart. After all, when I said I have take every one of you down, I mean every one...right, McBurn?!"

"Hehe, so you knew." A screen with McBurn's face appeared. "Man, I love it when there's a time limit. Really gets the blood pumpin', you feel me?"

"But sadly you are not the main star here." Liam said. "The main stars of this grand finale are those who participate in the Rivalries. Right, Arianrhod?"

Then we saw screens of Lianne.

"Yes. I whole hardly agreed." Arianrhod nodded

"Of course, we also have those who contribute to the Rivalries. I believe they deserve some recognition. Wouldn't you agree, Alberich?"

"You are correct, Lord Liam." Alberich nodded. "Allow me to bring out the two individuals who deserve some cognitions for their contribution for the Rivalries as Lord Liam said."

then Irina and Schmidt appeared on the screen next.

"You got to be kidding me." I muttered

"Hello. I suspect this comes to you as somewhat of a surprise." Irina said. "But I simply assisted with an off-the-record request from the Erebonian government. That is all. Ms. Crois. The professor and I have completed fine-turning the device, as you asked."

Mariabell laughed. "Marvelous! The both of you have my utmost appreciation."

"Ah-Ah-Ah! You can save your empty gratitude for someone else." Schmidt remark. "I am simply working towards my own goals. Nothing more."

"Allow me to make one final introduction to our roster. One not even we expected." Alberich replied. "But we must thank a certain individual who provided this instrument."

A certain individual? Who is he referring too? And then appeared on the screen was Victor. But he is wearing the mask... no...

"V-Viscount Arseid?!" Toval exclaimed

"So his is what become of you..." Olivert muttered

"I was curious how and where you'd managed to wander off after losing your left arm." Bleublanc replied.

"H-His left arm…?!" Laura asked in shocked. "Father."

"Wait... you mention someone 'provided' the Viscount to the roster." I said as I clenched my fist. I think I just found out who. "I think I know who this individual you are talking about…" I turn to Liam. "It was you, wasn't it Liam!?"

Liam chuckled. "Impressive Golden Angel. You got me."

"What?!" Rean eye widen

"Y-You…!" Laura growled.

"How was that possible?!" Toval asked

"When the Courageous exploded, I decided to look for any remains. The Phantom Thief was step ahead of me. But I use my magic and teleported Victor away." Liam explained. "When the blast hit. He use his sword to seal the breach. It mostly successful, but Victor ended up losing his left arm in the process. I respected his noble action. As a reward, I decided to repair his left arm. Once I've done with that, I had Alberich prepare a mask just for him. The only difference however to you all, is that he is compelled to the curse."

"Indeed. I was curious why he requested one of the mask." Alberich smirked. "Once I gave it to him, he just simply vanished without a trace. Only to return was the viscount wearing the mask. Lord Liam as always, is a very generous asset. He always provided both unexpected and valuable materials to our needs."

"Very true. After all, not only he provide for the Blood and Iron Chancellor, but also to Ouroboros with his knowledge, clever thinking, and anything else within his capabilities." Campanella nodded

"So thanks to him, you've turned even the Radiant Blademaster into one of your puppets, then…" Angelica muttered

"That would be wrong, for I am no puppet." Victor said as that surprised all of us. "I am Victor S Arseid. I have lost neither my memories nor my sense of self. It brings me no small pain for us to meet again like this, Cassius."

"Perhaps… But it's no small delight to know you're still alive, as well." Cassius nodded. "But as the young man on a white horse said, that the curse compelling you against your will."

"Huh?" Rean asked.

"Know somethin' we don't, old man?" Crow asked

"Oh, that's right. The Liberians team had experienced something similar with Phantasma, with the artificial copies of the people who have the same memories and personalities as the original." Liam said " However, that experience was in Recluse Cube. Erebonia has something far greater than that. Aside from us... Levi, Vita and the Zero Child knows what I'm talking about."

I remain silent. So he even know the truth of Erebonia's curse?

"Anyway, I haven't forgotten our duel, Golden Angel." McBurn said. "Once the Rivalries are done, we'll begin our greatest showdown. One that'll be sure to shake the world when we start."

"Then I'll be sure to give you a battle to remember." I replied. "But for now, me and my friends will free the Viscount from that mask. Or rather the curse itself."

"Yeah. As Levi and Liam told us. The curse is forcing Mr. Viscount to do whatever it wants him to." KeA nodded " He's the strongest swordsman in the Empire. That's why he was chosen to set the stage for the Rivalries."

"Precisely. All to create the best possible conditions for the resurrection of the Great one." Vita nodded

"So that's how it works…" Celina trailed off

"It's almost as though the curse has a consciousness. A will of its own…" Emma added

"No... Father..." Laura sadden

"So his skills as one of the greatest swordsman on the continent are being used against him…" Sara muttered.

"Exactly. You all can thank a certain 'pest' for all of this." Liam nodded.

I close my eyes because I know who is controlling that very curse and the Viscount. I thought with rage and disgust. I can sense Rean notice my expression in my thought as well. Guessing I know something.

"There's no need for anguish." Victor said. "Those are nothing more than the whims of fate. When next we meet, it will be as heralds of the Rivalries. Rean, Laura. I expect you to put forth your very best, when the time comes to put steel against steel." Victor said.

"Catch ya when the fun finally starts, we'll be waitin'." McBurn added.

Then Mcburn and Victor screen turn off.

"Oh and know this Levi." Osborne called out. "While we will not place a bounty on your head. The Imperial Defense Force will take action against you. They will remember your face."

"Hmph. How generous." I scoffed

"All righty, guess we'd best head out ourselves." Rutger said. "Best of luck, Miss Maiden. If I see you again, it'll be between my crosshairs."

"Very well, I will await that moment with bated breath." Lianne replied. "Ines, Ennea. Return to me. I will require you at my side once more."

And then Lechter has his moments with Princess Klaudia and Lucy. As for George… I suppose I should be happy Olivert, Toval and the Viscount didn't die. But I still won't forgive him.

"I'm glad everyone was able to have this chance to see each other one last time." Osborne said. "With this period of relative peace nearing its end, may each of us give every last ounce of our strength in the coming days. And Rean… You have a decision to make. Will you give in to your accused destiny? Rebel against your fate? Will you simply flee? Use Levi's divine powers to sever it for you? Or will you continue to struggle with every fiber of your being, until you have seen this abyss of despair through to the end?"

"Whether we'll ever meet again, I can't say for sure." Rean answered. "But if we do, I guarantee you'll have no doubt about which path I've taken."

Osborne chuckled as his broadcast vanished.

"My goodness… His excellency certainly is impulsive" Alberich said.

"No one ask for your options you parasite." I scoff.

"Hmph. Farewell, everyone. May you enjoy what little time you have left before the end of days is upon us. By the way, Levi Sullivan, I'll make sure you give you a payback for that wound you gave me back at the Workshop. That I promise you." Alberich said as his broadcast vanished.

"Be assured that neither the Imperial Army nor Ouroboros will interfere with your return." Claire said.

"On that note, you are also free to go and visit his Majesty at his bedside, should you so desire." Rufus announced. "As for you, Lloyd… I have temporarily suspended your arrest warrant. I imagine you'd like a chance to visit those dear to you. Far be it from me to hold you from your final farewells."

"Wait, really?" Tio asked

Rufus chuckled. "Think of it as my personal apology to you for Operation Birdcage. We will be recalling our troops from Mishelam as well. Why don't you enjoy yourselves there, one last time?"

"I'd like to thank you for the consideration, though not half as much as I'd like to deck you in the face." Lloyd replied.

Then their broadcast shut off.

"Well, good luck to you all. I'm looking forward to see if you all what it takes to end the nightmare of the world." Liam said. "As for you Levi. You have grown strong. But strong enough I wonder. We shall see."

"Hey, wait! What about G-" Shirley then got teleported away along with the other invaders.

I remained silent as they teleported away. But Liam stay behind.

"Prince Olivert. I'm sorry for what happened to your left eye. As a sign of respect. I'll heal your eye." Liam said as he forward his hand and an orb appeared, he snap his finger and then it launched it towards Olivert's left eye. "There. It's all healed now. It's up to you if you don't believe me. Until then." Liam said before teleporting away

The coast was finally clear.

"Levi… you okay?" Rean asked in concern.

"Yeah… A lot to take in… Still… What a day it has become…" I answered with I sad smile.

And then we begin to see the world leaders left as well. Even Princess Klaudia prayed for us. She truly is a sweet princess. One I respect. Musse and the others join us.

"Well, you certainly give quite a show Levi." Musse said. "I'll admit. I wasn't expecting that at all. It's just as you said to me back as the Osgiliath Basin. There is another way. And your one of the keys to that."

"Yeah." I nodded as I look at my hand. "The power and strength I have… it's the only way I can stop both the war and the curse. If I cast an immense impregnable Barrier all over Erebonia's borders. I can trap Erebonia from preventing harm to every country in the continent. And if I cast my power all over Erebonia… I can purge the curse that harm the people of Erebonia, returning them to normal, and keeping the curse in check for the time being. However… doing both things… would leave me vulnerable and exhausted. That's why my master made me train so hard to increase my limits… to stop the curse and the war."

"Levi…" Rean sadden.

"Yes. And I fear we may also put too much pressure on you." Musse added. "After all you face four aions on your own, and we also rely on your powers too much as well."

"Thank you for your concern. I can assure you, I won't feel the pressure." I replied. "I wanted to save this world as all of you do. Right now. After all, this is our home."

"Indeed. Such is the folly of youth, wouldn't you say." Olivert said as his ship.

"Olivert." Alfin sniffed while Cedric was also being emotional.

"It pleases us all to have you grace us in good health, Your Highness." Aurelia smiled.

"You'll have to direct your thanks to many others who helped this come to pass." Oliver said "Our endgame is nigh, Rean, Levi. Should you wish it, my wings are prepared to lift you to a new path."

"It would be an honor, Your Highness." Rean smiled. "Bur before that- on behalf of us all... Welcome back."

"It's good to be back. Now then, Ladies and gentlemen; Liberlians, Crossbellians, and Erebonians alike. Welcome aboard the second successor of the high-speed cruiser Arseille: the Courageous ll!"

And with that. We boarded the ship. And for me to explore and relax. I reunited with everyone on board. Alfin and Cedric hug Olivert as he hug them back. It's such a touching moment. I'm so happy to see Viscount, Olivert and Toval are alive and okay. And then the SSS and Juna approached me.

"Hye there, Levi. Are you feeling okay? Things have gotten wild with you facing the four Aions." Lloyd said.

"Yeah. I'm okay. A few bruises won't kill anyone." I answered

"I swear Ouroboros. I can't believe they would literally go that far by sending those four Aions against you. It's overkill!" Randy sighed.

"Yeah. But you were able to prevail and even destroy their ship."Tio added

"Well weakening any of Ouroboro's power is a good cause." I replied. "Plus they deserve it for all the crap they caused. But it's a deep shame they were able to escape thanks to Liam."

"Yeah. He was able to rescue Bell and the others somehow too." KeA nodded

"No kidding. Seriously… how did he manage to rescue them from my spheres? I design them using my magic. It should be impossible… I guess Liam must be somewhat special or more powerful then I am."

"Well, don't let that bother you for now. We should all be celebrating for Olivert, Toval and the Viscount for being alive." Lloyd nodded

"Yeah, you're right."

And then we begin to talk with Olivert as time passes and being shown around the entire ship where we can place in Valimar and our Soldats.

We begin to have a conversation when we got an unexpected call. It was Roselia in her mature form and Thomas.

"For those of you who have not yet had the honor, my name is Roselia Millstein." Roselia introduce herself. " I am the elder of Erebonia's Hexen Clan. Emma and Vita are my disciples in the magical arts. A pleasure to finally meet you, Prince Olivert, as well as the storied children of Crossbell and Liberl."

"How do you do? Until this moment, I'd only heard of you though rumor and legend." Olivert said. "I've heard that you watch over the laying of Erebonia's foundation by Arnor I… Is that really true?"

"Well, actually, that was my predecessor. It was Emperor Hector and Prince Dreichels who I was best acquainted with, 800 years ago. Hmm, I cannot say the family resemblance is all that strong in you, but you definitely have a familiar fire in your heart."

"That's quite an honor to hear you say so."

"I've heard a few things about those of you back there as well" Roselia look at the SSS and the Liberl team. Glowing tales from Rafnard and Zeit both."

"Wait, what?! Ragnard?!" Estelle exclaimed.

"For real!?" Agate also exclaimed.

"We haven't seen Zeit since…" Tio trailed off.

"We spoke shortly before they vanished. Even I have no idea of their whereabouts now, however."

"That's a shame…" Joshua sighed.

"From the sound of it, Cassius doesn't know, either." Scherazard added

"Ragnard, the ancient Dragon, and Zeit, the divine Wolf." Emma recalled.

"Two of the beasts entrusted overseeing the Sept-Terrions." Celine finished the sentence.

Now that I think about it. I've heard those name before.

"Indeed. Beings send forth by Aidios, much like the Holy Beast of Earth." Thomas nodded. "Thomas Lysander, Second Dominion of the Gralsritter. Estelle, Lloyd. I've heard many a rumor about your respective endeavors. As for you, Your Highness… I don't think we've had the chance to talk since you were last at the main campus."

"Haha, and to think that you, a history teacher, are a Dominion of the Gralsritter." Olivert chuckled. "I must say… I was quite frustrated that I was unable to see what was really going on, despite my ties to Kevin."

"I see. So I guess that means you heard about us from Kevin and Ries." Estelle said.

"And it sounds like you learned about us from Wazy, right?" Lloyd added.

"Right, we having all of them operate outside of Erebonia, at the present." Thomas answered. "They're out there resisting Ouroboros and their allies working towards the Great Twilight in secret."

"The First, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Anguis…" Joshua said.

"It seems the Enforcers who haven't come to Erebonia are also out on operations." Renne added

"Looks like the Intelligence Division's been active in other countries, too. They're making some pretty serious moves." Tovel nodded. "The Red constellation's Main regiment and the War God, too."

The Red Constellation. I should dispose of them at a later date.

"So Uncle Sigmund is finally on the move." Randy muttered

"Yes, Arios and Rixia are responding to their actions." Elie nodded.

"It's the same with Noel, Chief Sergei, and Dudley, isn't it?" Tio asked

"I hope they're all okay…" Juna sadden.

"To be honest, things are looking fairly grim." Thomas said. "So much so, that the Papal Guard has begun to act on its own, and is cooperating with Operation Mille Mirage."

"I suspected as much." Gaius muttered.

"Now is truly not the time for them to be going off on their own like this." Rosine sadden.

"Even during the Nighttouched affair 200 years ago, the Papel Guard managed to make a nuisance of themselves." Roselia replied. "For the time being, though, let us focus on the main issue at hand- the Rivalry of the Seven. and." Roselia then sighed. "Though it is unclear how... it seems the announcements that Operation Jormungandr and Operation Mille Mirage will commence six days from now. Is connected to the spread of the disturbance in the spirit veins."

"What?" Alfin asked in concern.

"Wait, does that mean it was influenced by the today's events?" Elliot asked

"The boss moving out might be related, too." Fie pointed out.

"Yes, as well as my father, the Steel Maiden, and the others." Laura added

"This probably involves Mother and Sharon, too." Alisa replied.

"And Mariabell. She seems to be working with RF somehow." Elie added.

"Seriously, what are they planning?" I muttered.

"There are likely many causes, but we now have a different grave situation on our hands." Thomas stated. "Meanwhile, spirit veins across the entire continent have begun activating. It's no longer limited to the Empire."

"Maybe it's because of the upcoming war."

"Right. That's the Great Twilight at work. They need it in full swing for the Rivalries to even be possible." Crow nodded

"I imagine even now, they're preparing for the ultimate reformation of the Great One." Emma trailed off.

"If only there was something we could do…" Towa sadden.

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - Even if That Warmth is Small)

"The solution is simple. Use this ship to whatever end you see fit." Olivert respond. "The Rivalry of the Seven appears to be the true Objective behind this plan of the Chancellor and the Gnomes. That much, we can safely assume. And yet, it is this same objective that may be our sole hope in preventing the disaster to come."

"You for real here?" Crow asked

"It's true that ever since this curse was unleashed, it's felt as though everything's being guided by some unseen force. The only one who can stop it is Levi due to his immense power."

"Right." KeA nodded. "His powers are akin to a Sept-Terrion. He sort of reminds me of when I became the Sept-Terrion."

"However, if he does. The Chancellor, the Gnomes, Ouroboros and Liam would try to stop him and restrained him. We can't risk him falling into the enemy hand."

"That's probably why Dad and Kloe opted for Operation Mille Mirage, instead. But while we're on it… what exactly is this 'curse' anyway?" Estelle asked.

"Back then, Liam said It's a wave of malice that inflict the human mind. Manipulating the people of Erebonia with negative emotions." Venti recalled. "But did he say something else about that as well?"

"He did. The curse is being controlled by a certain 'pest'." I muttered

"A pest?" Estelle asked

"I take it you know who this pest is?" Lloyd asked

"I do. It was created because of humanity's foolishness." I answered

"Uhh... what do you mean by that?" Estelle asked

"We know full well the sort of strife a Sept-Terrion can cause. We saw so ourselves during the incident in Liberl as few years back. There, we had to come face to face with the same issues our ancestors contended with 1200 years ago." Joshua explain.

"It was the same for us. We fought back against a centuries-long plan to artificially recreate a Sept-Terrion. One that had been lost due to mankind's own hubris." Elie nodded.

"Yeah… I almost made a really big mistake back then…" KeA sadden. "But then Lloyd and the others came and made everything all right again."

"In Liberl, a ring that could grant any heart's desire. And in Crossbell, a tree that could rewrite destiny itself." Renne said. "Each one a blessing, yet each one a curse. But in spite of that, Estelle, Lloyd, and everyone else face them head-on. They didn't lose heart even once."

"Therefore, discovering the truth is your responsibility now." Mueller stated. "It's not something Estelle, or Lloyd, or even the rest of can accomplish… Only you, Class VII of Thors Military Academy."

"The Empire's facing threats both on it surface and behind the scenes. And you're no strangers to kickin' tail on either of those fronts." Toval nodded. "I can't think of a more tenacious bunch out there. Way I see it, you guys are the only ones who can do this."

"It's up to us, then." Jusis said.

"Naturally, the Courageous ll has its own missions to see to. We must travel around the country helping people and gathering allies." Prince Oliver nodded. "Even so, I have no doubt that we can still serve as your wings of passage. Moreso with the Merkabah out of commission. After all, the difference in size should be more than enough to fit, oh, say, three Divine Knights and six Panzer Soldats, hm?"

"Olivert." Alfin smiled

"Oh Olivert." Cedric smiled

"You've put so much thought into this. We appreciate it." Gaius smiled.

"Yeah, this really help us out!" Millium cheered

"Seriously. We owe you so much." I smiled.

"Then Thors Military Academy's Class Vll would be honored to take you up on that offer, Your Highness." Rean smiled. "We'll do everything we can to assist you in your efforts, as fellow members of the Radiant Wings."

"We'll help, too! It's only fair, after all you've done for the branch campus students!" Towa added

"If you ever need someone to make that ship purr, I'm your gal." Angelica nodded.

"Fabulous! Delighted to have you. You see, we've been rather… lacking in the crew department." Olivert nervous laugh.

"Well, I sure as hell ain't sittin' this one out. What kinda Instructor would I be otherwise?" Randy said as he fist bump himself.

"Count me in, too! I mean, we're finally all back together again." Tita nodded.

"Like we said, we're gonna be off doing our own thing, but we'll still be helping out." Estelle said.

"The same with us. We'll be catching a ride on the Bobcat ll after we're done here." Lloyd nodded.

"Now that you mention it, you did both say you'd be working separately." Rean recalled.

"Yeah. The plan is to cover eastern Erebonia, North Ambria, and Jurai." Joshua nodded

"You mentioned gettin' in touch with HQ in Leman. Guess that means you guys are headin' out, too, huh, Schera?" Agate asked

"We are. Though we won't be leaving the ship until tomorrow." Scherazard answered

"Sara, Fie. You guys got things covered here, yeah?" Toval asked

"Of course. When have we ever let you down?" Sara smirked.

"Call us if you need anything, 'kay?" Fie replied.

"Well, this is goodbye for now right?" I asked.

"Yeah… we've got some stuff to take care back in Crossbell." Tio nodded.

"Don't worry. We'll be seeing each other again before you know it. In the mean time, let's give this our all." Elie added.

"Yeah, we got this, Juna, Levi!" KeA nodded

"Right!" Juna smiled

I chuckled "You got it."

"Seems like we'll be able to divide things up by region, then." Thomas smiled. "You should be able to just leave everything with the Merkabah unit 8 up to Rosine, Gaius. I'll be arranging for its repairs at a nearby location."

"I really am In your debt, Thomas." Gaius smiled. "You, too, Rosine. Thank you."

"No worries. Please look after everyone." Rosine replied.

"It will not be easy. But our shred of hope has come into view." Roselia said. "The time has come for me to undergo my final undertaking."

"Grandmother?" Emma asked

"Listen well, children of Class Vll." Roselia announced. "As noted, the spirit veins throughout the land are activating. And they are disordered, as they've never been before. The same can be said for the shrines- the stages for the Rivalries. This includes the Luna Shrine… The only shrine we witches have overseen since ancient times."

"You mean the one back in Milsante?" I asked

"Yes. It is the location of the reflecting pool, and generation after generation of wandering witches have watched over it. This pool reflects the genuine truth- and it is believed to be connected to the origin of the Black Records."

"I didn't expect to hear those mentioned here…" Olivert said.

"Hmm…" I was thinking about what my master said.

"Yes, I myself was just told about it the other day." Thomas replied.

"Hey Roselia."

"What is it Levi?" Roselia asked.

"By reflecting pool… you don't mean the Spectral Moon Mirror?"

Roselia gasped. "How in the blaze do you know that?!"

"The Spectral what now?" Juna asked

"The Spectral Moon Mirror. It's something my master taught me back when I was a kid." I answered

"Oh yes. That old man I met back during Prince Cedric's Rivalry. Anyway, you will not say anything about it!"

"Grandmother…" Emma sighed.

"In any case, I suggest anyone interested in the real truth behind the curse to come. I swear on my true name I shall provide the answers to your doubts, rest assured. To do so, however, I will require Class Vll to undergo a trial of sorts. You will need to come along as well, Celine. Oh, and fair warning- your human form will be required for this."

"Huh?!" Celine exclaimed

"G-Grandmother?" Emma asked

"You'll understand. Anyway, Levi. You will not spoil everything about it. So say nothing!"

"Okay, I won't say a thing." I sweatdrop.

"And with that. I suggest you all rest up. You all been through a lot as it is."

"She's right. Tomorrow will be a big day." Olivert nodded.

"And for us to leave as well." Lloyd added. "Until then everyone."

"Oh, Lloyd, Estelle." I called. "I need a favor."

"What is it?"

"While you are gathering intel, I want you to find George and Sharon. Can you do that?"

"Of course. We'll let you know."

We begin to leave the meeting room and then headed to the deck and then watch The Crossbell and Liberl team leave. Tomorrow will be another day.

Phew! All right! That was one hell of a crazy scene, huh? Next up. We will head to the Luna Sanctuary. And learn the Black Truth. But will we also find out about Levi's origin?
