Since yesterday when we were on board the Courageous II, we reunite with Olivert who I also cried as well. I'm so happy he's okay. On the bridge, we met Olivert in person, as well as Michael which confirmed what he meant by 'plans of his own'. There was also Vivi, Linde, Becky and Mint, so we had finally found everyone who worked at the Branch Campus. As well as the campus students and the other who graduated. So they were with Olivert this whole time.

I've heard that Gareth and his men are still being taken into prisoners. Good. I will kill them after worth.

"Despite being a new model of the ship, the system you see here largely emulates most of the previous Courageous." Michael said. "Our operations manual only covers the bare minimum. Should you find anything lacking, you'll have to figure it out as you go."

"Understood. I'll make sure to pass it to everyone else." Towa replied.

"Wow. This entire ship is literally a state-of-the-art." I said.

Emma giggled. "And that computer's one of the Epstein Foundation's next-generation models. Weren't they only just developed?"

"That's right. And its hull has the latest innovations in hydrodynamic engineering, courtesy of the Roer Institutes of Technology." Alisa answered. "Plus. It seems to be outfitted with ZCF's newest next-gen orbal engine, too."

"It only gets more and more unbelievable every time I hear it." Machias said. "Just how did you manage to construct a cutting-edge ship like this abroad in total secrecy, without anyone finding out?"

"As I stated earlier, there are a great deal of individuals who helped me make this happen." Olivert replied. "Such as Mr. Gwyn here, for instance."

Oh yeah, we noticed that Gwyn was among the ship too which made Alisa feel a lot better.

"Mhm. The story goes all the way back to right after the civil war." Gwyn smiled "Considering the way it ended, His Highness decided to approach me for some advice. He had me prepare this ship for him, all in anticipation of the day when the Crimson Wings would be torn from the sky."

"So that explains it. How exactly were you saved by Bleublanc?" I asked.

He then explained what happened, which also confirmed that Victor had lost his left arm and that Olivert lost his left eye too back then. Toval was the only one who came out of it with just a few bruises. That was weeks ago and he had fully healed since then. At least both he and Olivert were back with us again.

"Power is but an extension of oneself, and what is a sword if not power wrought in steel?" Rean quoted. "But ultimately, it's not the might of one's blade, but will and strength of spirit that decided the battle."

"He said that to us over two years ago." I sighed. "His words of wisdom ring true, even now."

"S-So ridiculously cool." Juna smiled

"Okay, edgelord." Ash added

"He certain earn the championships of the wises of all." Venti smiled

"Given who we're talking about, I expect he'll only emerge stronger from the experience." Kurt said.

"If that's the case, this could well become the most difficult trial we've faced yet." Altina added.

"Whatever the case may be, we've got our part to play for now." I said. "Besides, we made a promise to our new friends and allies."

Rean nodded. "Yeah, after the meeting we all had yesterday."

"Still, I'm literally surprised that Liam of all people heal your eye."

"In honestly. I was surprised too." Olivert nodded "When I remove my patch, it is as he said. He healed my left eye with his powers. I'm truly indebted to him for that."

"Seriously, what is with that guy?" Ash asked "First he's pretty much some punk being all baddie, the next he's some good guy."

"He certainly is a bizarre individual." Laura nodded. "However, I can't help but feel rather vexed with Liam. He kidnapped my father and had him wear the Gnomes mask. But he was also the one who heal my father's injuries and restore his left arm."

"Yeah, not to mention he help Prince Cedric Rivalry, right?" Fie asked

"Yes. He's been training me as well before all this happen." Cedric nodded.

"And he also restore Valimar and brought back Millium in a sense." Rean added

"Yeah. He's helping Gramps out but also us in the shadows." Millium nodded

"Anyways, we can talk about Liam at another time. We have the Luna Shrine to deal with." I reminded

"We thought the Luna Shrine was a dad end, but there was more to it after all." Altina said.

"This will be a trial for the entirety of Class VII. I'm reminded of our adventures in the Old Schoolhouse two years ago." Laura replied

"Ah, you mean where everyone first met Valimar." Kurt said.

"Yeah, and then that crazy-go-nuts corridor at the end." Sara nodded

"The Reverie Corridor." I recalled

"Yes. Knowing what we know now, I think that place is yet another sort of shrine. Perhaps this is what Liam mention back then during Prince Cedric's Rivalry. We will encounter something like his domain soon." Emma nodded

"Once again, he knew something like this will happen."

"Yes. It's quite frightening of his foresight. And I don't know what my grandmother's intentions are, but we should prepare ourselves for anything."

Celine said. "But why me as well? I'm not even part of Class VII."

"You say that, but you've been with us since the moment we first heard your voice." I replied.

"Yeah. Besides, we all know you love it." Luka replied.

"Don't try to hide it." Hamsuke added

"Not to mention this'll be the first time we've seen your human form since the Black Workshop." Fie smirked

"Ah, to gaze upon both Celine's lovely figure and the reflection pool in the same day- what fortuitous timing!" Olivert said. "Once everyone's done their little tour around the Courageous II, we can head for Lake Gala."

"It would probably be wise to land out on the water, to put a little distance between ourselves and Milsante." Colonel Mueller added. "Learning to switch between the silent navigation and optical camouflage modes is going to be critical here."

"Understood!" Tita nodded

Angelica chuckled. "Things are startin' to heat up."

"Next, our plan is to head ashore, with each group making their approach from the target locations." Patrick said.

"Fortunately, Estelle, Lloyd and the others are already a step ahead in gathering Intel, including the one you asked for, Levi." Schera added. "I'm sure they'll get a hit on something useful by the time you get out."

Oh yeah, the Intel on where we can find Sharon and George, since I've decided to go after those two.

"We'll be expecting good news, guys." Toval said. "But seriously though, take care of yourselves out there."

"Right. That goes for you, too." Rean replied.

"It means so much to know you've got our backs!" Juna smiled

"Class VII, it's time to make sure your preparations are set. We'll need every pair of hands we can get around, so those of you in a position to pitch in, please do so."

We agreed since everyone from the Branch Campus and fellow graduates are here.

We broke off and I chose to take a few things off my mind.

I decided to take a bath so I begin to head to the third floor and then on my way I met up with Elliot and Machias.

"Oh hey Machias, Elliot." I called out to them.

"Oh hey Levi. You wanted to go take a bath too?" Elliot asked.

"Yep. That's the plan. You two?"

"Yeah. Come join us." Machias answered.

As the three of us head to the bath. There was already Rean.

"Hey, Elliot, Levi, Machias." Rean greeted as he laugh. "I guess we all had the same idea."

"Yeah, we're just starting to get a handle on the ship's functions, so it seems like a good time to go wash up." Machias explains.

"Mind if we join you? It does seem pretty spacious, after all." Elliot asked.

"Yeah, of course. Wanna head in, then?" Rean suggest.

"Yep. Let's go in, shall we?" I smiled.

And then we begin to undress and then begin to put on the towels and then we enter the baths. It has a large space and a nice view of the clouds.

"Wow. It's pretty nice." I smiled.

"Yeah, this is pretty amazing." Rean nodded

"Wow, this is like a full-scale bathhouse." Elliot smiled.

"It's almost too lavish. Could it even get any more luxurious than this?" Machias asked.

"Hmm... good question. But what's the harm?" I shrug.

"Don't know. Was it Professor Schmidt that designed this ship?"

"Him and Professor Russell from Liberl. It seems he was one of Professor Epstein's main disciples." Rean answered "This may have been one or his suggestions, since he seems to be pretty well acquainted with His Highness."

"Tita's grandfather, right?" Elliot asked. "Heh, I could see that happening, for whatever reason."

"I see we weren't the first to come up with this idea." Crow's voice called out and we turn around and see him, Jusis and Gaius.

"Oh hey, Crow, Gauis and Jusis. You want to try the bath too?" I asked.

"Of course. It looks like we're all of one mind." Gaius smiled.

"It's not like there's isn't enough room for all of us to squeeze in." Crow stated. "And our first bath on the ship should be a bonding experience, right?"

"Amend brother." I chuckled.

And then we begin to sit down on the warm bath and then admire the scene and then see the window of the sky.

"Beyond the skies… How far we've come…" Gaius smiled.

"We came a long way. It was a long and struggle road." I answered as I sigh of relief.

"Yes, it foes feel like we've come very far." Jusis nodded.

"I know what you mean." Elliot smiled.

Machias chuckled. "Kind of a surprise to see everyone here like this." Machias nodded.

"Yeah. It just like the olds days back at the civil war." I nodded. "We go into adventure, then finding out schoolmates all over Erebonia and now we're all gathered in one place as we traveled."

"You're right." Rean nodded as he smiled. "It was only two years ago and yet it felt so long since everyone was together."

"Back then, we didn't have Crow with us. He missed out a lot."

"For cryin' out loud… Why the hell are ya gettin' so mushy?" Crow asked "I mean, we're on a brand-new, cutting-edge ship here! You gotta get more excited, man! And while were here, let's get talking! The filthier, the better! It's time to air out your dirtiest jokes and fetishes!"

"B-But why on earth would we!?" Machias exclaimed

"Absolutely ridiculous… There's no reason at all we should participate." Jusis added.

"Come on, Crow… we're not students anymore." Rean replied.

"Wait, Crow never Graduated… Maybe we should consider him a repeat student?" Elliot smirked.

"Hey, who gives a shit about that?!" Crow exclaimed.

"Oh, I can tell you who~" I smirked. "In fact. I think Towa would love to educate you. And considering she knows, you. She will be sure you don't slack off."

"Don't you effen dare tell bring her into that! It's time to take it off, guys!" Crow then sighed. "Pretty damn sure Gaius and Levi will be the winner, but you never know, some guys like Elliot are-"

"Who, whoa! What the hell are you saying, Crow?!" Elliot exclaimed.

"Crow, this clearly isn't a dignified conversation." Gaius added

"Yeah, what if a girl was sitting nearby and overheard you say something like that?!" Machias stated

"Well, I can add a soundproof barrier so we can talk about it." I suggested

"And problem solve." Crow smirked. "Levi, you are my problem solver for this case."

"Riiiight."

"Hmph. But would respectful behavior be in character for any of us?" Jusis asked.

"I'm just gonna take in the scenery and enjoy the water." Rean nodded.

"Same, same. Let's kick back and enjoy, shall we?" I smiled.

After we were done with the bath. I begin to head into the Hanger and then met up with Tita. And Venti is there too.

"Hey there, Tita, Venti." I called out.

"Hey Levi. Here to ask Tita to make some Quarts?" Venti asked

"Yeah, that was the idea. You don't mind, right Tita?"

"Of course not. I'm more than happy too. I'm quite amazed with Olivert and this ship." Tita smiled

"No kidding. I had to admit. He really surprised us all."

"No kidding. Never thought he can be a trickster. But then again. He doesn't want his foes to be aware. So it makes sense until the big surprise." Venti replied.

"Well, the good part is that Oliver is all right." Tita nodded.

"Yeah. My heart is overwhelmed with joy. Although it pales in comparison to Cedric and Alfin." I replied.

And then after chatting with them and then Rean ends up joining the chat. I also ask Tita to make me some Quartz. And I gave her a lot of quartz to use to forge. It's going to be a tall order. I have been saving up. But forgot to ask someone to make them. But this will be a good experience for her. And as a few minutes have passed. I begin to see my Quarts are done. I paid Tita the amount and a few tips for her job. And then I begin to head the shop and then meet up with Jinko.

"Hey, Levi. Want to buy something?" Jinko asked

"Yeah. I wanted some Quartz. So what you got?" I asked.

Then she show me some quartz I wanted. And then I begin to purchase them and also did some trading and it was a lot of money. But it was worth it.

As I was finished.

"Oh, Levi." Rean appoached me.

"What's up Rean?" I asked.

"I wanted to give you this." Rean then gave me a Silver bracelet.

"Oh hey, this is a nice bracelet!" I smiled as I receive the gift. "And it has a horse icon. Aww, thanks Rean."

"I'm glad you like it. I had a feeling you would love it."

"I'm more than love it. Still, thanks a lot Rean. I'll cherish it." I smiled as I wear it. But then I recalled something. "Oh yeah, Rean. You know how to play Vantage Master and Pom! Pom! Party, right? Would you like to try me?"

"Sure, I'll be happy to play with either of them."

"Cool. Let's play, shall we?"

And then so Rean and I begin to place some Vantage Master and we begin to have an equal and difficult fight. As a few minutes past. He somehow managed to beat me.

"Say what!? Aww…" I frowned.

"Good Game, Levi. You really had me there." Rean nervous laughed.

"Yeah. I was so close. Well, here you go." I gave him my Heaven cards.

And then we begin to play Pom! Pom! Party.

"Okay, let's dance, shall we?" I replied as we begin to play the game.

It took a few minutes and then later in a hard battle. He beat me.

"Say what?! Aww…" I frown again.

A few minutes have passed. Just then, I heard an announcement.

"To all passengers, we will soon be concluding our orientation flight, and chartering a course to the Luna Shrine, we'll be landing on Lake Gala in 30 minutes."

Me and Rean made our way to the bridge whilst the Courageous traveled over the Lamare region and then over to Lake Gala where the ship landed on the water. We then got off the ship using a small boat and we were on solid ground, close to the Luna Shrine.

"Here we are at the Luna Shrine again." Juna said.

"Yes. But it feels different this time." Kurt added.

We then noticed that a few crystals and lots of aura that was glowing on top of the shrine.

"Rose did say that the spirit veins are becoming more active, so perhaps that's why." Altina reminded.

"Considering what's going on, I say so." I nodded

"Now that I can sense mana, i'm starting to see what you mean." Machias sighed

"Feels like it's still being contained inside the shrine, though." Gaius said.

Emma nodded. "That makes sense. This is the only shrine that's been overseen by the wandering witches for generations. My mother came here to purify its waters countless times throughout her life. Or so I've heard."

"Oh, right. I did hear something like that." Rean respond.

"You never really knew your mother, right?" Fie asked

"I've heard stories that she was a witch of rare and superb talent." Celine said. "But all this happened before I was born, so stories are all I have to go on."

Emma nodded. "I was really little when she passed away, so I don't remember much about her. But Grandmother told me all about this Shrine. Deep within, beyond the altar, we'll find the reflecting pool. Gazing into it should light our way."

"Well, who doesn't love a conveniently omniscient magical artifact?" Crow asked.

"Some of us apparently." I replied. "But joking aside, let's be ready for what's waiting inside."

"Just a minute." Rean said before he called for Valimar to appear.

"How may I be of assistance, Rean?" Valimar asked. "I take it that you do not wish to take any chances?"

"Yeah. Considering there's a possible chance we may need you."

"Understood. I'll be waiting for your command."

"Hehe. We're about to enter something mysterious, aren't we?" Millium asked

"We are. Let's get going." I said.

We then got ready to go inside and made our way down the stairs.

"This kinda reminds me of where we fought Crow." Elliot replied.

"Yeah, lookin' around, the place does seem pretty familiar." Crow nodded

"We may not need to worry about a Rivalry this time, but…" Emma trailed off.

"Am I really the only one on edge about this trial Rose has lined up for us?" Celine sighed

"Probably." I answered

Until we reached the altar part where there was now a tall portal present.

"Huh? That wasn't there before." I commented. "And I recognize that symbol, It's the same symbol to the Great One."

"What about the witches?" Crow asked.

"Them, too." Emma replied. "This crest was used by both the Gnomes and the witches until about 900 years ago. But the Hexen Clan's lost any knowledge regarding its true meaning and uses by now."

"Hopefully, we can uncover more details about that as we continue with our investigations." Altina said.

"Correct. All you must do is continue to move forward." Roselia's voice replied.

"Why am I not surprised you're here, Rose. Got anything new to share with the rest of us?" I asked.

"Perhaps. But I have been far too busy with my own preparations. Now hurry along inside. And...Celine? You may wish to steel yourself."

We steeled ourselves and entered through the portal.

Before we knew it, we were now relocated in a outdoor dungeon with various waterfalls in odd places. A Phase Space

"Wow...this place is beautiful." I replied.

"We must be deep inside the Luna Shrine now." Musse said. "Or perhaps, it'd be more accurate to say we've reached its very core."

"And that Roselia is waiting for us at the end of the very core."

"Correct. Just like the space Liam somehow created, is a mystical space outside of our dimension. Unlike this one. His has more divine energy." Emma said.

"Come to think of it… Didn't Liam told us we will encounter something like this?"

"He did, didn't he?" Rean said as he thinks.

Did he knew we were coming towards this place?

Celine then suddenly turned into her human form.

"Oh wow." Juna clapped

"That was a nifty trick." Sara added

"Nice one, catface." Ash smirked

"Who are you calling 'catface' pudding head!?" Celine growled

I burst into laughter for that.

"I advised you to steel yourself for a reason. The Luna Sanctuary is a hallowed ground that unveils the truth."

That was when Roselia appeared in her grown up version.

"Huh, I guess it's the same here, just like that space with Cedric on his Rivalry?" I asked.

"Indeed. The energies in this sacred realm allow me to assume my original form with ease." Roselia replied. "And perhaps, even my true form."

"Huh?" Celine title hr head?

"You...have another form?" Emma asked.

Roselia turn around. "In the depths of the shrine sits the reflecting pool, a holy relic maintained by wandering witches throughout the ages. Mirrored within it are the echoes of the Empire's hidden past, intertwined with the secrets held in the Imperial family's Black Records. It should show you everything, now that the Great Twilight is upon us."

"Even me?" I asked.

She smiled. "But before you can glimpse into the past, a trial awaits you."

"What does that entail?" Elliot asked

"Ah, I get it." I replied. "It's the same thing we have to do with Prince Cedric Rivalry back in Liam's Realm."

"So the ritual has to be preceded by battles." Rean said.

"Yeah. Otherwise, it wouldn't be called a trial without passing through some test."

Vita then appeared. "Heehee. It would appear you're finally starting to catch on."

"V-Vita?" Emma said with surprised.

"We said goodbye yesterday, what are you doing here?" Sara asked.

"The reason I had to bid you farewell in the first place was so I could assist Grandmother with her preparations. As such, I will be the opening act for your trial. Oh, and I've brought a guest performer. I do hope you like surprises."

Vita then disappeared. What does she mean by that?

"Ahem...This is not quite what I had in mind." Roselia said. "But I will allow her to do as she wishes, so long as she fufills her role. As for yours...aim for the deepest recesses of the shrine as if your lives depend on it. Because that may, in fact, be just the case."

She then left too.

"Okaaaay. Guess we can add thi to another trial we can conquered." I said.

"We are members of Class Vll. No challenge will dampen our spirits!" Laura replied

"Well said." Jusis nodded. "I must fulfill my duty. After all, I am a descendant of one of the Four Great Houses."

"Well, the truth's out there somewhere, so let's find it together!" Juna nodded

"Yeah, good luck everyone!" Millium cheered.

"New Class VII, start searching the Luna Sanctuary.." Rean command."Levi, Emma, Celine, Jusis- I'm counting on you, too!"

We began making our way through the first section of the sanctuary. On our way. There was a blockade similar to Liam's Realm. But I can sense water element from it. We found the switch and destroy it and it open a path and we begin to make our way.

"Huh. For a Lunar Shrine, there sure seems to e a lot more water here than anything else." Rean said.

"That's because of the Moon, Rean. It's called a Moon tide. The Moon balance the water of the world." I said to him as we walk. "Do you know why there are tides and the difference between high and Low tides all over the world? It actually caused by the Moon. The moon's gravitational pull generates something called the tidal force. The tidal force causes Earth—and its water—to bulge out on the side closest to the moon and the side farthest from the moon. The Moon above us balance the water in this sanctuary. It's a fitting name for the Lunar Sanctuary. Since the Shrine is associated with water. Not only that. The water can also be use for astrology, due to the water can reflect not just the moon, but also the stars. But I don't think anyone knows how that works."

"Hehe, I've forgotten how very knowledge you are Levi." Emma giggled.

"Seriously. But you are correct about the Moon." Celine sighed.

"Hehe… oops. Did I go overboard?" I nervously laughed as I ask.

"No of course not. It's very educational. I learn something new from you. It's part of your charm." Rean smiled.

"Hehe, thanks."

We continue to advance in this sanctuary and after we got to the end of the first part, Vita was waiting.

"There you are. Are you ready to begin the show?" Vita asked

"Can't even enjoy a peaceful walk without someone wanting to fight me." Crow said.

"Aren't your hands full without having to deal with us?" Alisa asked.

"Well, preparations for Operation Mille Mirage are underway, and I'm dealing with the other Anguis on my trail." Vita replied. "I'm more than willing to help out if I'll be getting a glimpse at what the reflecting pool has to show. Additionally, I've taken it upon myself to continue the research carried out by a certain wandering witch...Isola."

"Mother..." Emma said quietly.

"You were very attached to her, weren't you?" Celine asked.

"Isola was Emma's mom?" Juna asked

"What was this task passed from one generation of wandering witches to another?" Rean added.

"Why, investigating the Rivalries and the purpose of the Hexen Clan, of course." Vita replied. "It was her influence that made me begin my own research, which led to my chance meeting with the Grandmaster. I'm doing this to honor her memory."

"Well, I'm curious to know more about the Grandmaster, but we don't have the time." I said.

"The reflecting pool served another purpose eight hundred years ago. You should ask the elder about it. But you need to defeat me first, as well as one other that awaits you."

While Vita unleashes her incredible magical power

"Watch out!" Emma exclaimed as she got her staff out.

"That's the true strength of Ouroboros' Second Anguis, the Azure Abyss!" Sara added

"Can't she hold back a little?!" Crow complained ."We're on the same side as her sister, dammit!"

"Not only that. That fan she got from Liam amplifies her power even further!" I added.

"I wonder… Do you truly have what it takes to find the truth hidden among the shadows? To emerge victorious from the Rivalries ahead?" Vita smirked. "It's time we put you to the test!"

We begin to fight on. I link up with Rean and then Vita cast many spells and attacked onto use and then we fought back. Vita is crafty and skill like she did back then. Even the barrier to protect her and her familiar Grianos appeared by her side. As I strike with my crafts hoping it would lead to some follow-up. Vita cast powerful arts and magic onto us and we were able to withstand it and then counter it back. However, that has proven to be a little more difficult. Vita launched a small tornado as us as Emma launch her Magic blades at her and then I follow up with my Glaive and Celine casting arts onto her. But Vita was surrounded by Mana and cast Two Lost Arts onto us. One is a phoenix and another is a comet! Both are incredibly powerful and even somehow cancel arts and weaken us greatly! Venti then shot from a distance as some of the range strike at Vita while some of us are restricted to move more further. But even that. We never gave up and as time passed on these weak buff finally go away. We resume our battle against Vita. We managed to win against her, despite powering up.

"Heh, not bad." Vita praised.

"That's an overstatement..." I sighed. "That fan and those Arts you cast onto us drives a heavy blow… Heck, I was surprised that it even pierce through the magic reflection."

"Hehe. Well, not ALL Arts and magic are able to be reflected back from the magic reflector. In any case, it would have been embarrassing if you lost, since it was all of you against little old me. Not to mention I might be even stronger than Levi."

"Ha. Ha. Very funny. I rather not go all out if it's necessary."

Then she was surrounded by magic, looks like she's leaving.

"Are you leaving now?" Emma asked.

"I'm a very busy witch. Can't get held up here for too long." Vita replied. "Give my regards to the elder and you-know-who."

Vita then disappeared.

"Ugh, good riddance." Celine sighed.

"She seems keen on lending her aid to the Weissland Army." Jusis said.

"Maybe that's because she can see what the future holds." Emma replied. "She has better insight into this than we do, due to being both a witch and an Anguis."

"But the main is who is the other 'guest' she brought. Something tells me it's going to be one hell of a fight." I replied.

"Agreed. We'll just have to roll up our sleeves and deal with it like the rest!" Musse nodded.

"One thing's certain." Elliot sweatdrop.

"Yes, this will be even more difficult than the last." Gaius nodded.

Laura chuckled. "I don't mind in the slightest."

"Same here. After all, I have a showdown with Mcburn and the Steel Maiden. As well as Liam." I nodded

"Agreed! I will strive to reach even a portion of her skill as a master of two schools of swordsmanship." Kurt added

"I'm ready for it. Let's keep going!" Rean command.

We entered the second section of the trial. Battling a few monsters that got in our way before we reached a small halfway area where another familiar face was waiting.

"I see you're still raring for a right." Aurelia smirked.

"No way! Principal?!" I exclaimed.

"Uh-oh." Juna sweatdrop.

"It's kind of you to find some time for us in your busy schedule." Musse replied.

"I'd rather she didn't." Fie bluntly said.

"You took care of the Pantagruel for me, which freed up some of my time." Aurelia replied. "I wish I could fight Master, but that is impossible at the moment. As thanks for the Pantagruel, I'll serve as a warm-up before you face your next trial. It's like killing two birds with one stone."

"I do feel like it would be unfair because I'm here." I sighed.

"Worry not Sullivan. I know this is meant to be for all of you to overcome, but I believe it's finally time you showed me your full strength, Levi."

I nodded. "All right, how can I deny the woman who beat the Steel Maiden? I'm looking forward on giving you my all."

"The rest of you, I ask that you do the same."

"Heh, you sure know how to make people feel special, huh?" Crow asked.

"Principal Le Guin, we accept your challenge." Kurt said.

"We've got more people, but we're not shooting ourselves in the foot just to make things fair." Ash added.

"Heh…" Aurelia smirked. "You think that makes a difference to me?"

Aurelia then powered up as she is surrounded by a golden aura. It was incredibly overwhelming.

"You HAD to say something Ash." Venti sweatdrop.

"I am the Golden Rakshasa! It was neither my sword nor my Panzer Soldat which inspirited this title. It was both this brilliant aura that shines around me and the ferocity with which I wage war! A fitting name for one who shines on the battlefield- not simply as a soldier but as a peerless general." Then Aurelia pointed her blade at us. "There may be many of you, along with Sullivan at your side. But you'll need all your strength to triumph over me. Just as it will be with the Jaeger King and the Lance Maiden. You must prove yourselves here. Especially if you wish to triumph over the Blood and Iron Chancellor- he who rules this turbulent era!"

We all got out our weapons.

"You got it, Principle. As we agree on. I will not hold back at all!" I smirked.

"Yes, they are all unparalleled commanders in their own right." Gaius nodded.

"I get it, so this is a test to see if we can beat someone who's on their level!" Sara replied.

"We must succeed here if we're to defeat my brother as well." Jusis added.

"As well as Liam. A man who indomitable strength." I nodded.

"We will overcome you today- General Aurelia Le Guin!" Laura shout.

"You may be one of the most powerful generals and swordmakers Erebonia has ever seen, but you'll find yourself outmatched this time!" Rean added.

"Brave words- but remember: you face the Golden Rakshasa, the warlord who leaves entire battlefields trampled in her wake!" Arelia smirked as she ready. "You will kneel before my Blade! Now Levi Sullivan. Show me your true strength!"

"Right! Let's go, everyone!" I shouted

I begin to deliver my full strength as she requested and then we begin to charge and clash countless times. Aurelia is as skill as ever. It's no wonder she can beat the Steel Maiden. I let out a couple of my attacks onto her as she send out projections of her slashes onto us. And as I leap over them. She block and counter my attack which damage me pretty food, and then I begin to return the favor as everyone else join me for this epic battle. We all give it our all and Principle Le Quin is certainly incredible. As she landed her S craft. We were literally being brown away. And her strength is indomitable even! As I landed some powerful strike on her. She was able to withstand it. Until then we begin to do some S craft on her. Even though she was powerful, we still came out on top.

"We managed somehow…" Laura panted.

"Yeah… we've passed the test, I'd say." Crow added.

"Yeah… if I was one on one with her. This battle would take awhile. As expected for someone who surpass the Steel Maiden." I panted.

Then a flow of mana passed through us.

"Heh, the sanctuary has accepted you." Aurelia said. "But one more trial awaits you up ahead. You've made it this far, don't lose now."

"We won't, Principal." I replied. "And thanks for all you've done for me."

"And thank you for your time, General. Good Luck with Operation Mille Mirage." Musse added.

She nodded. "Rest assure. It is in excellent hands. Take care Your Grace. And let us battle again Sullivan. Farewell, Schwarzer. It's been a pleasure, New Class VII. Perhaps our paths shall cross again." Aurelia said and then disappeared in the same way Vita did.

I hummed. "I have a hunch that our final battle would be Roselia."

"The Hexen Clan's legendary elder, who's been alive for over eight centuries…" Jusis replied

"If she's got her original form back, does that mean she's recovered her full strength?" Machias asked

"Don't forget- she mentioned something about her 'true form'." Alisa sated

"Not to mention the medallion she got from Liam." I added.

"Grandmother keeps many secrets, even from our clan." Emma sighed. "The truth about Celine and Grianos, for example."

"Hey, speculation won't help us anywhere." Celine replied. "But I'll be with you every step of the way, so you'd better be as committed to this as I am!"

"Yeah, you got it!" Rean nodded.

We carried on going forward until we reached the end of the second section where a teleport took us to the third and last section. We made our way upwards and reached the end where Roselia was waiting for us.

"So you've arrived at last. Well done." She said.

"Hello, Grandmother." Emma responded.

"Is that the reflecting pool?" Rean asked.

"Yes. As Levi said yesterday, its proper name for it is the Spectral Moon Mirror." Roselia replied.

We then saw a large pool at the very end with lots of glowing smoke.

"The water's so crystal clear." Alisa said.

"So this is what the wandering witches spend so many generations watching over." Kurt added.

"Now I see...it's actually an artifact, isn't it?" Gaius asked.

Altina hummed. "It does emanate a certain aura, not unlike that of the Bell of Crossbell."

"Very astute. That particular artifact was passed down through the Crois family." Roselia said. "It is but one of many. The Tetracycli Towers of Liberl, the Recluse Cube of the Liber Ark, the Black Records of the Arnor family. Even Prince Olivert's Sonorous Seashell."

"Legends say Aidios bestowed artifacts to a number of different groups back in the days of lore." Laura said.

"And these artifacts were given to the ancestors of those who were involved in each one." I added "And the Spectral Moon Mirror consigned to the witches."

"Correct. The Spectral Moon Mirror works in tandem with the Black Records, and is itself connected to the Spirit Shrine scattered about the land. It is also the source of the many visions you have experienced. Nevertheless, is it quite a rarity for its power to manifest, even for us witches. But everything changed the moment we congregated together in this shrine."

"How so?"

"Emma, the wandering witch, and Celine, her familiar. Schwarzer, the cursed Sacrifice, and I, the elder of the Hexen Clan. The Great Twilight is upon us, and a frenzied thirst for blood sweeps over the land."

"And what about me?"

"Of course. That was a fated scenario that wasn't accounted for. However, it also has become intertwined with the Great Twilight. Maybe we will find out how it's possible about you as well."

She then powered up.

"Gah...so we're really doing this?" Celine asked.

"Red Moon Rose...the true ancestor of the vampires." Musse said.

Roselia giggled. "The term 'vampire' is little more than slander. A myth that masks the reality of my kin. Although, when it comes to manipulating vitality, I suppose there is a hint of truth to the tales."

Her eyes glowed and suddenly, her entire form changed.

"Holy..." I exclaimed.

"A Holy Beast…" Fie replied.

"You're..." Emma paused

"The origin of Grianos and myself." Celine added

"'Roselia', was once borne by an ancient creature." Roselia replied. "1,200 years ago, it fused with the Kin of Fire's Elder to prevent a great calamity of their time. This creature was the Holy Beast sent forth by the Goddess and Albedo, the Burning Sphinx."

"G-Grandmother..." Emma said, quietly.

"So you're the one the church has been searching for...the other Holy Beast, long thought to have disappeared." Gaius added.

"Damn. Who woulda guessed?" Crow asked.

"Yeah... So that explains why I sense you possess some otherworldly presence." I said. "But even so, you're right. I have to see my involvement in this to the very end. And if we have to overcome you in order to seek the path towards the ending we all want, then that's what we're gonna do!"

"Convincing words, Levi." Roselia replied. "However, do bear in mind that our clash with the Gnomes is approaching. The scenario is different this time since the power you hold may change the world."

"Right… the powers I hold is something similar to Aidios or perhaps a Sept-Terrion. As well as the magic. Although I don't have the power of creation."

"Indeed. Your entire origin remains a deep mystery. And adding that you hold otherworldly essence along with its power."

"Ah…"

"As long as you stay focused with us, this world will always have future generations to watch over all walks of life, including successors."

"Successors?" Emma asked.

"Rose... Just what are you planning to do?!" Celine asked as well

"Nothing so drastic as dying, I assure you." Roselia answered. "But we must account for every possibility. As I already stated, I am not the first to bear the name 'Roselia.' The original one disappeared 900 years ago- most likely due to the Gnomes' betrayal. I began my existence as a familiar, not unlike Celine. My predecessor showed me this place, telling me to return here, should anything happen to her. I obeyed. And when I arrived, the Spectral Moon Mirror allowed me to inherit a part of her memories, as well as her mission. Thus did I become the second Roselia."

"So that's what you mean by successors." I said. "Should anything happen to you, you would have Celine be your successor. Given the state of the world and the Rivalries. Which now the perfect chance to use the Spectral Moon Mirror, hidden within the shadows."

"As expected that you catch on Levi. Filling the air with strife will cause the reflecting pool to show us visions linked to the Black Records. Having a wandering witch, Levi's mysterious existence and his powers and magic, and the ultimate Sacrifice here should allow us to see the truth of this curse in its entirety."

"I see." Rean said. "We need to uncover the full vision. All the glimpses we saw in the other shrines were just pieces of it."

"And in order to trigger it, we need to fight." Kurt added.

I looked up at Roselia. "In that case...I'll do it. I'm ready to take you on."

"By all means." Roselia replied. "Now... enough dawling."

Then she roared and unleashed a formidable aura. We all got our weapons out.

"Class VIIs, new and old- it's time to face our greatest trial yet!" Rean said.

"Right. It's now or never!" Sara added.

"We will uncover the hidden truth!" Emma nodded.

"I've got a few choices to say about all this, Rose, but I'll fight you first and complain later!" Celine replied,

"Hmph. Then come, Children. Face me with the full extent of your strength." Roselia replied. "We shall see how you fare against the Hexen Clan's Elder: I, a Holy Beast of the Goddess- Roselia, the Burning Sphinx!"

And so, our greatest trial to ever exist had come to us.

The battle then begin. I unleash my full strength and then we all begin to fight hard. While the Holy Beast is a whole other world. Unlike any monsters I face. I cast my own magic onto the Holy Beast and she was able to withstand it and push me back. And everyone and I fought hard as she can and she unleash her power of fire and crafts. Even a stomp. I was struggling And then I land some swirl and imbue my powers and strike. And then join by everyone as Roselia landed some powerful strike with her roar. And then soon we all begin to land some S crafts onto me. Same with me and Rean. Roselia was still standing and then everyone fought hard once more. Rean and I charge together and then we strike through Roselia and then she was defeated. I hadn't felt exhausted after a giant battle since yesterday, and yet, I was still raring for more, perhaps I am getting stronger.

"Wow… That… was something." I panted. 'How long has it been since I've face such a formidable monster?'

"How'd you like that, huh?" Ash asked, catching his breath.

"That was tough, but I think we did it." Fie said.

"Ggh...I didn't expect you to be able to old your ground so fiercely, children." Roselia replied. "Now I understand how Ragnard and Argres must have felt after facing your kind."

"Argres? The Holy Beast of Earth?" I replied.

"I'm surprised that you are able to speak his name clearly. It must be because of your powers. That name that has passed from this world into oblivion. But back to the matter at hand. You have all passed the trial set before you. As for what comes next. You had best brace yourselves."

Roselia moved back and the Spectral Moon Mirror glow brighter. It means it's activated.

"I'll guide you all through the path, be ready." Emma said.

"What… is this?" Altina asked.

"The fragments of the past preserved in the Black Records. A reality even I have yet to see." Roselia answered. "Do not avert your eyes, this...is the truth!"

And then, the entire vision began to play. The first one was Zephyr. Xeno and Leo at Rutger's grave then Alberich appeared with a deal. Once they accept. Alberich revived Rutger from the dead before he was sent to complete a trial and become an awakener, and realize Alberich is the mastermind of the duel, and then a pawn for the Rivalry of the Seven.

"RELINQUISH IT TO ME...IT BELONGS TO ME...YOUR SOUL...YOUR ENTIRE BEING..."

The second vision was of the Emperor sitting, staring at the very dark being, Ishmelga.

"Haha… You never do tire of this, do you?" Old man asked "You are the embodiment of delusion. Repulsive, without a single shred of dignity, unlike Valimar."

"COMPARE TO ME, THE ASHEN KNIGHT IS NOTHING MORE THAN SCRAP METAL. ACCEPT IT! YOU, WITH THE HEART OF A LION, DESERVE BETTER… YOU ALONE, DESERVE TO PILOT ME…"

"Dreichels?" a woman's voice

"DAMN… THE ARGENT ONE COMES. BUT IT MATTERS NOT… YOU SHALL NEVER ESCAPE MY GRASP… NO MATTER WHERE YOU FLEE… YOUR WEARY SOUL WILL NEVER FIND REFUGE…"

Before it vanished when Lianne showed up.

"Dreichels...What was that just now?" Maiden Lianne asked

"Haha, it's been an age and a half, Lianne. You haven't changed at all from when I last saw you. No...if anything, you're more beautiful than ever." Old man replied

"Heehee. Your flattery won't work on me. I assume you heard what become of me from Rose?"

"Indeed. She told me of your revival and how you'd left Erebonia in second. What a heartless woman you are… We promised to grow old together… and you've left me here to grow old on my own."

"Even so, my thoughts have always been with you."

That was Drechels back in 250 years ago… Ishmelga was haunting him still. And that Lianne wish she can also bear her children but can't.

But the third vision was a new one, it was all about Georg and how he became George when he got to Thors Military Academy. He was in charge of reviving Crow for the sake of the Rivalries. He chose to recruit Angelica with her mind manipulated instead of killing her. He made sure that Olivert, Toval, and Victor were saved before the Courageous blew up.

George… I am…conflicted… I should be hating him for his betrayal… and yet…

The fourth vision was then of the day Rean was born, with his real mother, Kasia, and Osborne. But we then saw Lianne watching over the two of them which shocked me.

Then we saw the fifth vision, it was of Franz Reinford, Alisa's father, and he was looking at overdrafts of a Panzer Soldat. Then we heard Ishmelga's voice and send his parasite minion and took over his body. Before Sharon appeared, I already knew what followed then.

The sixth vision was then a quick background of how Osborne and Kasia met, and Osborne said that a voice was asked to relinquish his soul. The attack on his family home was shown and he was begging for Rean to be saved, the dark voice was heard yet again. Then the shadow of a Divine Knight appeared is Ishmelga… That means… It is as my master said.

And then… this seventh vision was something we did not expect. There was Liam. With a strange magic circle of unknown. But he wasn't alone. Master Makarov is there who knee before him and Hamsuke and Luka next to him.

"And it's done!" Liam smiled with joy. Then a small orb appeared from the magic circle that look like a star symbol. And the orb begins to form into a young boy. That boy… is me… "My… It certainly took a lot of work. But now… Levi is born into this world. Makarov." Liam turn to him. "Take care of him in my place. Remember the instructions I've given you for his education, and his training in both magical and physical."

"Understood." Master Makarov bow.

"Hamsuke, Luka. I'm also instructing you as well to watch over him along with Makarov and be Levi's friends and familiars."

"Of course!" Hamsuke and Luka respond.

"Oh. Remember that magic in this world exists, however, in this world's era. Magic is believed they don't exist. But I'm sure you know that." Liam said to Master Makarov.

"Of course. I was created by you by the knowledge of this world. So I understand how this world works. I will instruct him to keep his magical abilities hidden from the rest of the world, until at some point when the select few learn of his identity." Master Makarov nodded

What... So Master... Hamsuke... and Luka were created by Liam this whole time? They knew all along...

"If my calculation are correct. He will unleash his rage at the Azure Chevalier during the invasion of Thors by the disgraceful Noble Alliance. Something tells me he might try to kill him, even though he will be an Immortal eventually. If he does, I'm sure you know what to do." Liam replied.

"Of course, I will stop him. After all, this Azure Chevalier has a role. And he will forgive him." Master Makarov nodded.

"Yes. Crow is actually my favorite character. Still… there are other parts that will concern me in the nearby future with the Ashen Chevalier. I do hope that I may be able to guide him to the true path to end Ishmelga. I will watch over Class 7 as well as Levi. Still… what concerns me is Ouroboros. It is possible they will find out about his magical abilities soon. I should wait and see what will they do. Since Levi's powers can oppose Ismelga after all. He's like mine. But he's my Avatar and I design him that way. If he tried to kill him. Then I'll kill him first." Liam replied. "Well, I'll leave you to raise him well. I do hope it is how I imagine."

Avatar… Did Liam… did he…

And then the next vision appeared.

Liam appeared with the same circle. And then appeared Venti sleeping.

"There we go. My second Avatar is finished. I shall name this one, Venti Zachary."

"I will download the information onto him. The language of this world. His education will be average that Makarov had guided me. His skills, reflexes, senses, his archery skills. His magic and his understanding of the Orbal Arts and Orbments. And done. I shall create a different guardian. And instruct that one to do the same as Makarov raised Levi but differently. And once the time has come. If everything goes as planned. I will have Venti enroll in the Branch Campus and he and Levi will meet. But makes me wonder if they will actually meet…and realize they are brothers. Venti, the youngest brother. And Levi, and the older brother. I'm sure they'll meet somewhere when Rean becomes an Instructor. Guess I'll just wait and see. Now… I should create the guardian immediately. After all… I want to make sure that Rean will follow the true path… to end Ishmelga. I need to check on Cedric as well. So he doesn't fall into Ishmelga's grasp. As 'she' requested of me. Venti… Levi… I can't wait to see you two bonds as brothers. You're both my Avatars after all. You both don't exist in this world. But whichever country you wish to be a citizen of. You both will be supported. That goes for whoever wishes to choose you as their adopted parents. And… I'll make sure that Rean and Levi's fates are intertwined. To bring an end to the Great Twilight."

And the final vision ended, then our view was back to normal.

"There it is, then...the whole truth." Crow said.

"So the duel the boss died in was rigged from the start." Fie added.

Sara nodded. "By Black Alberich, but even he was just a puppet."

"George too. Though his circumstances were a bit different." Emma said. "But the two last one..."

I can feel everyone looking at me and Venti… I was in a moment of shock.

"Avatar…" I look at my hand. "I'm… an Avatar… and Venti… is my…"

"We're Avatars…" I look at Venti who was also shocked as I am as he touches his chest. "We're both… created by the same person… Liam… and…" Venti turn to me with a sad face. "We're brothers…"

"So that explains it." Roselia said. "It's no wonder why I sense both of you possess otherworldly essence, magic, and ability. You're both Avatars. Avatars are known to be representative of the Gods. You both don't exist in this world, you both are created by the same person we all witness."

"Levi… Venti…" Rean was also speechless.

I couldn't help but touch my chest and… learn the truth…

"Now it all make sense…" I said as I sound heartbroken. "I don't exist in this world… I'm… a manifestation of someone… who doesn't live in this world." My tears coming out. "But I wasn't alone…" Venti was the same… but… I shake my head. "No… I shouldn't be crying right now… I have be strong."

"Yeah… me too…" Venti nodded. "That thing who possesses Alisa's father… it's no wonder why you and Liam called him a parasite. He was a persona, created by Ishmelga himself. The Chief of the Gnomes."

"Yeah...so that's how our fate became intertwined." I added. "It was all Liam's work. To make sure mine and Rean fates are intertwined with each other. But back to Alberich…"

"The being that possessed him has achieved immortality through means different from mine." Roselia replied. "I suspect it lives on by becoming one with any descendant of the Gnomes it deems worthy. Almost akin to a parasite of sorts."

"Father..." Alisa said quietly.

"We also learned the truth about Arianrhod...or Lianne Sandlot, as she was once known." Laura said. "She spent 250 years watching over the Empire...as well as the man she loved most."

"A saint in the truest sense of the world." Kurt nodded.

"But that means the guy she spent all that time watching over is..." Juna paused.

"I admit. I did have my suspicions." Jusis said. "Why for instance, did Emperor Eugent go to such lengths to support the chancellor?"

"You're right, it all makes sense now." Elliot added. "His Majesty had the entire truth in his hands this whole time, the Black Records!"

"He knew that the Lionheart Emperor, founder of Thors, Father of the Renaissance, and victor of the War of the Lions, 250 years back...had been reborn as Giliath Osborne, the Blood and Iron Chancellor himself." Gaius stated.

"So Osborne...is Dreichels reincarnated." I muttered.

"Yeah." Rean nodded.

"I never imagined reincarnation would be possible" Altina said.

"Paranormal bullcrap, 'cept it's for real this time, isn't it?" Ash asked.

"For all the things for the visions to show us." Roselia said. "Those witless fools! Why didn't Lianne, and Dreichels come to me?! Did they not say we were friends?! Was it all just a lie?! No...I am the one at fault. How could I have been so blind for centuries?"

"Grandmother..." Emma said.

"Rose." Celine added.

I looked at Rean, I had a feeling that he was going to want answers from me.

"Levi, what can either you or Rose tell us about this...Ishmelga?" Rean asked.

"The Ebon Knight." Altina replied

"All signs point to him being the one behind all this… don't they?" Juna asked.

"It radiates an aura unlike any other Divine Knight we've encountered." Kurt added.

"I knew Ishmelga all this time because of my master… who was also created by Liam. Ishmelga is one of the Divine Knights. But 1000 years ago, its system became corrupted by evil and malice by mankind."

"As for me, I may not know as much about Ishemlga itself. But what I do know is that this particular Divine Knight has remained mostly hidden for over a thousand years." Roselia said. "It was absent from both the War of the Lions 250 years ago, and the Dark Dragon's appearance 900 years ago."

"Under influence of humanity's malice, however, Ishmelga evolved into a unique spiritual lifeform. In order to become a god-like entity with absolute power as much as possible, it spreads that malice throughout Erebonia in the form of a curse… As a Divine Knight, Ishmelga was unable to use its full power without an Awakener. That's why it created the events of history in bloodstain."

"Yes. It may have been the one behind them." Musse finished. "Or perhaps, the one behind every tragic event in Erebonia's dark history."

I then had a flashback of the visions and memories we witnessed.

"No way…" Machias gulp.

"Valimar, Ordine, and all the other Divine Knights we've seen thus far have each had their own conscious mind." Gaius said

"Now I understand its plan… What Ishmelga is planning." I clench my fist "Now I understand what Liam meant with the Rivalry, and with Rean. And why he created me."

"What do you mean?"

"Ishmelga believes that whichever Awakener is the last one standing, Ishmelga will reveal its true self, and possess the victor's Divine Knight, becoming the Great One. In order to prevent that. Liam created me… the Avatar of light. Who can protect and repel Ishmelga from possessing the Awakener."

"Damn...so that's how it all comes together at the very end." Sara said.

"The Gnomes and the Hexen Clan have been at odds from the very start. Even still, we managed to reach a compromise 1,200 years ago." Emma said. "We stood side by as we seal off the Great One. We worked arm in arm to help found the Empire. But 800 years ago, after the reclamation of the capital, the Gnomes suddenly broke off all contact with us."

"And the one behind all of that, was the Ebon Knight. It must've taken over the Gnomes and made them into its followers." Crow added. "Well, that's the nice way of putting it I guess. In reality, they're nothing more than its brainwashed minions."

Fie nodded. "And so, they got involved with all sorts of shady stuff. Including the boss' death. Moving their evil plans forward the whole time."

"But is Levi's right, that's its end goal becoming the Great One?" Alisa asked. "Or is it trying to win the Rivalry of the Seven, to become the Great One itself?"

"Is that what the OZ units were created for? What I was created for?" Altina added. "What Millium...gave her life for?"

"Just the thought of it make me sick..." Juna said.

"...we can't let this stand." Rean spoke.

We then noticed Rean having a red aura around him.

"Oh boy…" I trailed off.

"That thing is the reason for all this suffering...not only in Erebonia, but in every country surrounding it. Roselia sighed of relief. "It feels as though several centuries of weight has been lifted from my shoulders. As for the new facts that were revealed to us, I will let Vita and Thomas Lysander know what they should."

"We should bring the good news back to His Highness and the others." Sara said.

Rean nodded. "Right. Best not to keep them waiting any longer. Let's be off. To the Courageous ll!"

And with our minds focused and our goals perfectly aligned, we left the sanctuary and got back to the ship.
