TJ was laying on his bed thinking about what happened earlier today at school "I kissed Spinelli… And it was great!" TJ groaned a bit angry at himself "Lucky me Spinelli didn't like it or we…" TJ paused for a moment then realized "She lied as well…" TJ went over to his walkie-talkie and turned it on "Spinelli?"
Spinelli was laying on her bed staring at the ceiling blushing bright red "I can't believe me and Teej kissed, and worst of it all, it was amazing!" Spinelli said as she covered her face with a pillow "Or reputations would have been ruined… Did he like it as well?" Spinelli immediately went to her walkie-talkie and turned it on, before she could say anything she was surprised by TJ who spoke first "Teej?"
"Hey… Look… can we talk?" TJ asked while sitting on his bed
"Yeah but… if it's what I'm thinking, here is not safe, the others could be listening…." Spinelli said
"Good thinking… Abandoned playground near our houses? The others don't know the place as far as I know" TJ said
"That place gives the creeps… I'm in! See you there TJ" Spinelli jumped off her bed and left home, it was starting to get dark but there were still a feel kids around playing in the street, from over her house Spinelli could see TJ already entering the path to the abandoned park, she rushed there trying to not raise suspicion
TJ was sitting in the abandoned playground's merry-go-round. He smiled after seeing Spinelli approaching him "Were you followed?"
"Nah, no one is crazy enough to try sneaking on me, maybe Randall, but my Snitch Sensor isn't detecting him" Spinelli chuckled "So? Is this about today's kiss?"
"Yeah the truth is… I liked it" TJ said a bit flustered
Spinelli sighed then blushed while smiling at him "Don't worry, I liked it too" Spinelli sat right next to him on the merry-go-round "This is embarrassing" Spinelli crossed her arms a bit angry at herself
"Yeah, this whomps" TJ sighed
"What do we do? You are the leader" Spinelli asked TJ looking a bit nervous
"You will probably want to punch me if I say what I'm thinking…" TJ said
"You wanna kiss again don't you?" Spinelli cracked her knuckles
"Yeah... Easy on the face please" TJ closed his eyes ready for it but then just felt Spinelli kissing him
"Don't worry. I wanted to do it again too… If you tell anybody I swear to god…" Spinelli showed him her fist
"Are you kidding? I like kissing a girl, if the others learn about it my reputation is doomed… no offense" TJ said
"None taken, the same goes for me" Spinelli groaned "So? What are you waiting for?" Spinelli blushed while looking at him
"What do you mean?" TJ looked at her a bit confused
"I kissed you, now it's your turn, idiot" Spinelli said
"Oh, my bad" TJ laughed then approached Spinelli a tad nervous but kissed the girl right on the lips in the end, this time they kept kissing for a few more seconds until they parted lips
Spinelli groaned "This is so good… Why does it have to be so good? It is supposed to be gross!" The tomboy said still upset at the whole situation
"Beats me" TJ sighed "It makes me feel all warm inside"
"Now you are sounding like Mikey" Spinelli laughed at him "But yeah…same here" She smiled and blushed a little "What do we do now?"
"I see only two ways, we could pretend this never happened and leave it be" TJ said
"Or?" Spinelli crossed her arms and looked at him a bit curious
"We could hang out here from time to time and well… kiss, the playground is fully functional despite being abandoned as well so… it is a nice place to hang out if you think about it" TJ blushed and closed his eyes now certain he would receive a fist to the face
Spinelli was indeed ready to punch him but then stopped as she imagined the whole situation "No Sappy sentimental stuff?"
"You are joking right?" TJ smiled at her crossing his arms
Spinelli grabbed him by the shirt and pointed her fist at him "Teej?"
"No Sappy Sentimental stuff" TJ smiled at her now nervous
"Great, I'm In" She pulled him into a kiss and then released his shirt "We meet tomorrow here?"
"Sure, It depends on what the others will do tomorrow though… we have to keep it a secret from them" TJ lowered his head
"Don't worry, they would do the same in our situation" Spinelli patted her leader on the back comforting him as they left the abandoned playground
"Would we?" Vince snickered he was behind a couple of bushes at a safe distance from his two friends with the rest of the gang, all of them wearing headphones attached to a machine built by Gretchen capable of listening to things from afar
"According to my calculations… Yes, Yes we would" Grethen chuckled covering her mouth "It's a bit gross but I'm happy for them if they are happy with it"
"But where is the love? Kissing isn't the only form of love, where are the hugs, the compliments and the vows of love?" Mikey kneeled feeling a mix of happiness and sadness for his two friends
Gus was patting Mikey on the back comforting the gentle giant "If it feels good should we try it?" Gus looked at Gretchen a bit confused
"Probably not a good idea, I took the liberty to read a few books about the subject and it seems boys and girls do indeed reach a phase in their lives where they "Get together" some reach this phase sooner than others as you can see our friends case, the first kiss is a specially important part of this process" Gretchen said "Sorry Gus but you don't make my type, hope we can still be friends"
"I did not mean it like that!" Gus looked at Grethen embarrassed "Thanks for rejecting me with grace though" Gus laughed
"Here to please" The team suddenly heard the sound of an owl "It is getting uncomfortably dark around here, perhaps we should…" Grethen then noticed her friends had already fled scared to their minds by the owl sound "I will never understand Spinelli" Gretchen said as she followed the boys and left the abandoned playground with them
The next day at school the gang was walking together to school "So what are we doing today? I'm leaning towards Battletag today" Spinelli said cracking her knuckles
"We will figure it out" TJ said in his usual relaxed away
"They are good at hiding it I will give 'em that" Vince whispered to Gretchen
"Their desire to keep their reputation is strong after all" Grethen whispered back
"Will they be ok?" Vince asked
"No idea, didn't reach this part yet in the books I've been reading on the subject" Gretchen said
The day went on surprisingly as usual, if the gang didn't know better they would have believed their friends had no secrets whatsoever, by the end of the school day TJ and Spinelli went to the abandoned playground right after saying goodbye to their friends who followed them of course
The gang arrived in the bush they were using for espionage just in time for a lovely scene for most but pretty gross for them except for Mikey of course
TJ was resting his arm on Spinelli's shoulder while both kissed each other "Spinelli, can I ask you something?" TJ said a bit worried
"Sure, go ahead" Spinelli said while she tried hitting a fruit out of a tree with a small rock
"Are we dating?" TJ asked
Spinelli missed the fruit and then looked at TJ a bit angry for making her miss it "I said no sappy sentimental stuff"
"I know, it does seem kinda pointless kissing as friends though" TJ grinned
Spinelli groaned "What are you getting at?"
"Well… Do you Like me?" TJ asked while looking at her now a bit curious smiling at her
"You are pretty confident for someone who is about to get a punch in the face" Spinelli was blushing looking at him angry
"Is that a no?" TJ asked now a bit worried
Spinelli sighed "Alright… Yeah, I like you… Libe boyfriend and girlfriend stuff..." Spinelli mumbled something a bit angry blushing bright red
"So do I, It wasn't so hard" TJ laid down on the merry go round smiling
"Don't you ever get embarrassed?" Spinelli sighed then laid down with him on it as she calmed down a bit
"I was pretty embarrassed yesterday, But I mean… The sooner I get used to this the better right?" TJ laughed
Spinelli kissed TJ then smiled at him "Yeah you're right, Plus, I feel comfortable around you… Eww… That was Sappy, makes me wanna punch myself" She shook her head
TJ laughed again, this time patting Spinelli on the shoulder comforting the girl then looked around "Which reminds me… we haven't played around the other toys in this place so much, have we?"
"Good point…" Spinelli got up then eyed a slide "Oh boy…" Spinelli rushed toward it and climbed the slide upwards "Finster would murder me if she saw this" Spinelli laughed then saw TJ running towards her as he climbed the slide in one go just like her
"I brought some marbles" TJ slid down and lay on an area without grass "Wanna have a go?"
"You're on!" Spinelli decided to jump off from the slide but calculated her landing spot bad and fell on top of TJ "Oh god, TJ, you okay?"
TJ groaned a bit hurt "To be honest I'm already used to it after the game of battletag from today" TJ laughed then kissed his girlfriend
"Fool" Spinelli chucked at him then kissed him back as she readied herself for their game of marbles
You know what? I can see the merit on it, it's kinda cute, a bit gross but a cute gross" Vince smiled at the couple
"Agreed, they do have a nice chemistry" Gretchen said
"Now that's true love, I can feel pure bliss just from watching those two" Mikey said enchanted by his two friends' relationship
"They seem happy, Do you guys think they will invite us to their wedding?" Gus asked
"Please, we are their best friends, we get the best seats" Vince said
"Wedding cake…" Mikey closed his eyes imagining a giant cake while Spinelli cut it with a chainsaw and destroyed the cake "We can't let Spinelli cut it…" Mikey said a bit fearful now
After about an hour Spinelli and TJ left the abandoned Playground and went home, their friends waited a few minutes and went home as well taking all necessary precautions to not get found including erasing their tracks.
