Sequel to Trails of Cold Steel III - Year of 1206. The Great Twilight has been brought forth to bring the end of the world. However, Levi vow to deliver judgment to Osborne, Alberich, The Ironbloods, George and Ouroboros, and find a way to destroy the Curse of Erebonia and the Ebon Knight Ishmelga. Together with Rean, Class VII, and their allies to put a stop to this.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Things to Tell You)

The next day arrived and despite what happened yesterday, Fie was able to get enough rest and she had us all waiting on the bridge. When she showed up, we turned to face her and she seemed to had fully recovered from the upsetting moment.

"Fie." Emma said.

"Are you all right now?" Rean asked.

"Yeah, I just cried it all out." Fie replied. "If I kept it up any longer, the boss'd never let me live it down."

"I see." Laura said before she went over to hug her.

The two embraced as close friends before pulling away.

"Deep down, I think that was all he really wanted." Sara said. "To be seen off by his beloved daughter, by family."

"The guy lived life on his own terms. Not as some immortal Awakener, but as a human being." Crow added. "Gotta say, he left on one hell of a high note."

"He sure did." I nodded.

"If you've gotta go, you may as well go with a smile on your face, and that's exactly what he did. All we can do is smile back." Ash said

"Who are you and what have you done with Ash?" Venti blink.

"Damn it, Bard! I was trying to be cool here!"

"But Ash is not wrong." I smiled

"Yeah. I'm sure Xeno and Leonidas would say the same." Gaius nodded

"The end of a legend. And the beginning of a new Zephyr." Randy said.

"We know just how powerful they are. Having them on our side is reassuring." Altina said.

"We'll have to show them that we're no pushovers either." Musse added.

Rean nodded. "That's right. And we can start by overcoming this next trial, no matter how stacked the odds."

"And with Draco Sanctuary gone, it's time to turn our attention to the Stahlritter, and Lianne herself." I declared.

"Right. It's time to head to Crossbell at last." Juna said.

"The place of my lord's Rivalry." Duvalie added. "I don't need you to worry about me. The Jaeger King showed us his resolve, so it's only fair I do the same. I will do all that I can to persuade my lord to stay with us after the rivalry. The battle itself is another matter. I don't believe my lord would look kindly upon such unnecessarily consideration."

"And speaking of Lianne, I hope to find out what Alberich meant by when he told me to ask her for the full story." I said

"About the Grandmaster and Liam?" Celine asked.

"Yeah, but it's something we can look at later when the time is right."

"I believe you're right about that." Laura agreed.

"It appears that her objective is to protect the future of the Empire." Emma said. "Although she hasn't said how she aims to do that."

"Right. Our goals actually align, in a certain sense." Gaius added. "So there's probably some hope there."

"Well, if we can't demonstrate our ability to get past this, then it's all moot anyway." Celine said. " Valimar's new evolution, thanks to the Palatinate Knight's power, is going to be a big help."

"Right, the power received from the Jaeger King- we owe it to him to make the most of it." Rean nodded.

"That we do." Fie nodded as well.

"Next on our agenda...Crossbell." Olivert said. "It seems our team has an update for us."

We looked at the monitor, and on the screen were Schera, Agate and Toval.

"Agate! Schera!" Tita smiled

"And Toval as well!" Rean added

"Hey there, everyone." Schera greeted.

"We heard about the Jaeger King." Agate said. "Good work. Musta been tough."

"Yeah, thanks." Fie replied.

"So how are things going in Crossbell?" Sara asked.

"Right. There's been some movement that's caught our attention." Toval answered. "Word is, there's a giant pillar of light shooting right out of the wetlands."

"Wetlands? The same place where we fought Rufus after he got his Divine Knight?" I asked.

"Right." Emma nodded. "I think that only the Sanctuary has been moved, like before."

"There are also eyewitness accounts stating they saw a 'shining knight' fly off in that direction." Agate said. "Which means there's no doubt she'll be waiting there for you...Ouroboros' strongest, the Steel Maiden."

"My lord..." Duvalie said quietly.

"The time's finally come." Laura added.

I nodded. "Yeah, but since it's in Crossbell, I have a strong hunch that Rufus is gonna try and pull something clever an in attempt to stop us. After all, Crossbell is still under his control."

"Yeah, we'll need to be extra careful." Juna agreed.

"And there are no barriers over it like last time, right?" Rean asked.

"Right. It seems that the only experimental Garguntua-class battleship was the one we encountered yesterday." Towa replied.

"Thank you, bracers." Olivert said. "We know you're busy, and appreciate you taking the time to contact us."

"Hey, it's was no big deal." Toval smiled

"Security seems to be light right now, so we're about to head over to confirm things ourselves." Scherazard added "Watch your back, okay, Olivert? And make sure to get them there."

"You got it. You be careful too. Until we meet again, Schera." Olivert wink.

The monitor switched off.

"So, Crossbell, huh? The area's on the brink of turning into a battlefield once the war begins." Jusis said

"Yes. It looks like the invasion of Calvard will begin from Tangram Fortress on the east side." Juna sadden

"And right before that, we face the biggest hurdle of the war's shadowy underbelly." Musse nodded

"In any case, we need to prepare ourselves to the maximum extent possible." Alisa advised

"Right. To stop the Great Twilight, and to somehow stop the war without using Levi's power." Elliot nodded

"I kindly requested that you allow me to join the fight, starting today." Sharon smiled "Please call on me without hesitations if such a need arise."

"We'll be counting on you." Kurt nodded

Alisa sighed "Your wounds has only just healed, though. Of course, Levi could just heal you with his magic, but I don't want you overexerting yourself."

"Sure, but we could really use her abilities in battle. Let's get this party started, kittens." Angelica nodded

"Considering the circumstances, I'd like to depart for Crossbell as soon as possible." Olivert said. "However, a number of orders have also arrived, so please do give them a once-over when you have a moment."

"In the meantime, I'll map out a safe route to Crossbell." Towa added "It's looking like this will be our last foray into the western half of Erebonia for a while, so make sure you don't leave anything undone!"

"Right!" We nodded

And then we begin to split off. And then I was heading towards the front deck. I was thinking about what happened and then recalled Liam's face. He was sad. I guess he was friends with Rutger… Fie said goodbye to father… It was clearly a sign of love. Now that I speak of love… Liam… who was my creator along with Venti… I recall those words of his.

'Venti… Levi… I can't wait to see you two bonds as brothers. You're both my Avatars after all. You both don't exist in this world. But whichever country you wish to be a citizen. You will be supported. That goes for whoever wish to choose you as their adopted parents.'

I don't know if he said it with love… sigh…

(Final Bond Scene.)

"Hello, Levi?"

I then heard Rean calling to me and then I look at him.

"Oh hey Rean. Sorry. I was just thinking for a moment." I replied with a sad smile.

"What's wrong? You look like you're about to cry."

"I was just thinking about Rutger's death. And Fie's bond."

"Ah…"

"It truly is a beautiful thing between a love of a parent and child. Even when the parents died. Their children lives on and the warm and memories will never go away."

"Yeah…" Rean look sad.

"There was someone else presence in the Draco sanctuary."

"Really? Who?" Rean asked

"Liam." I said as he look surprised. "I saw him there floating in the air. He was sad for both Fie and the Jaeger king. I guess he and the Jaeger Kings were friends or something. Poor Fie… but I know she will continue to be strong as Rutger watches over her and Zephyr. And yet…"

"Yet?"

And yet… will my creator show that kind of love to me and Venti?

"Hey, Levi. Do you want to go for some sightseeing?"

I look surprised. "Sightseeing?"

"Yeah. I know a place where we can watch for a bit. Do you want too?" Rean asked

I begin to think for a moment and then… sure… why not.

"Sure." I smiled.

Then me and Rean begin to leave the Courageous ll and then begin to head towards head towards Lake Gala on horseback. And then we dismount and then look at the pretty lake.

"I remember this. This is Lake Gala, right? So this is what you wanted to show me?" I asked

"Yeah. But look from around… here." Rean said and then we begin to locate ourselves into a different direction and then we begin to find a breathtaking scene of the lake and nature.

"Wow. It's really beautiful! So when did you discovered this?"

"A while back. This looks like a great place to fish. But also enjoy a nice moment as well."

"Hehe… I won't deny that."

"Right. So Levi… were you feeling jealous, just now?" Rean asked

I was surprised as I look at Rean but sighed.

"I guess I am…" I replied with a sad look on my face. I touch my chest. "Too be honest. I'm jealous over a lot of things. Including you guys and others. While I'm an alien to this world. I'm human and yet an alien… I was raised in this shelter life while you all have childhoods and parents who adore and watch you growth… yet… I never receive that. And we know my master was just watching over me because he was order to by Liam… and Liam created Venti because I was lonely. And seeing the department of Rutger and Fie had their final moments… makes me wonder something… that may happen…"

"What do you mean?"

"That I may leave this world…" I answered sadly. Rean look surprised with a sad face.

"I was created by Liam and raised here for a mission. My fate was intertwine with yours because of him. I begin to think why he created me. To end Ishmelga. And once that is done… my existence… would be over… along with Venti… there was so much I wanted to learn still and… learn about love… and yet… by the time this war with the Ebon Knight is over… we might say our goodbyes… I… I don't want that… Liam set me up in Class VII… and he created Venti to do the same… and… when that's over… we'll-"

"Levi. Stop."

I then felt Rean's hand my shoulders and he looks mad and upset.

"Don't talk like that!"

My eye widen from his expression.

"There is no way we will let Liam take you and Venti away when this is over. You and Venti belong to us. He may have created you two, you both may be an alien to this world. But you are more then just that. You and Venti are your own person. And I am glad he created you and Venti. While you had lived a sheltered life. There is no doubt he and your master really care about you. And you are someone both old and new really admire, respect and love! That includes Venti as well. And if he even thinks of taking you away from us, then he had another thing coming! He may have created you and Venti for the purpose of defeating the Ebon Knight. But there is no way I will let him take you away from me!"

"Rean…" I look surprised… yet… so very happy.

"You are one of my dearest friends Levi… At that very day we thought we lost Millium… I don't want the same thing happening to you. You're more then just an outsider… you are special to me… and to everyone. Regardless of your powers or not. And that includes your purpose."

I was speechless.

"I swear that I won't let that happen… when we make it to the final Rivalry and defeat the Ebon Knight. I will give it everything I got… to keep you with us. You're more then just some purpose… and I am glad that I know you… I want you to be by my side… just as I want to you want me to be by your side. I know that everyone…including your brother… would say the same thing."

"Rean…" I couldn't help but felt tears in my eyes… and… I felt something… warm…

I place my forehead to Rean as I close my eyes with a smile with tears pouring out.

"Thank you Rean… I'm sorry I said something like this… I'm happy… really… really happy."

I can feel Rean's arms wrap around me.

"It's okay… I promise to protect you Levi."

"And I promise to protect you too." I smiled. "This warm feeling… I never felt this before… thank you Rean… I won't forget this feeling…"

"Hehe… your welcome… Thanks… for telling me this Levi…"

"I should be the one thanking you. I truly do… I feel a lot better now. Thank you for everything Rean."

"There's no need to thank me… let's head back." Rean smile as we look at each other

"Yeah." I smiled back and then we begin to go.

Rean… this warm feeling… what is it… Is it… really love?

(Bond event ended)

(Liam pov)

I was watching the unique scene with my avatar and Rean… wow… that was… a really emotional and… strong bonded scene… I couldn't help but feel so happy… of how much both my Avatar have grown… and… how Levi grow…

I look at the Astral Circle and then… I saw Rean's Bond level and with Levi. There was max Bond. But also two Hearts. So… Levi's one of the romantic choices huh? I'm glad… makes me wonder who will Rean choose.

As I see them climb up the horses. They begin to gallop away.

"Spying on your Avatar?"

I turn around and see Arianrhod.

"Yep. I'm surprised at their bond level… they truly made it a special bond." I smiled

"I can tell… you must be so proud of him along with your other one." Arianrhod smile

"Yeah… They truly have grown well and become how I imagine. Although part of it was the Great Twilight. But regardless of that, This far surpass my expectation."

"Well, some things result differently. For better or worst."

"You're right. All the bond all the way to the Academy to here. Speaking off, it looks like they'll be heading to your Rivalry now."

"Yes. Let us see if they can make it to the end."

Then me and Arianrhod teleported away.

(Levi's pov)

After returning to the Courageous. My bond with Rean was more closer than before… and yet… this new feeling for him… I don't know what it is… and yet… I really wanted to stay with him… I don't want to lose him.

After we were separated and then begin to head to the cafeteria and then begin to wonder what should I eat. And then I begin to think for a moment.

(Venti's Final Bond event)

I was in the 3 floor of the Courageous II. I was sitting on the table there thinking about something. Maybe I can discuss that another time.

"Hey there, Venti. You seem to be lost in thought."

I turn and see it's my Instructor.

"I guess I am." I said

"Is it something bothering you" Instructor Rean asked

"Yeah. It's about my reason for existing. As you know who made me and Levi. I'm happy that he's my brother. But... can I ask you a question Instructor."

"Of course, ask me anything."

"How did you enroll in Thors? Like how did you apply?"

"How did I apply? Well, you need to fill out the forms with your name, the address, parent or guardian name. The region you live in. For your case, you would apply abroad from Librel. If you been through Sunday school, they can help you out fill you out. Why do you ask?"

"Huh? So that's how it works." I blink. "I was just wondering how I got into Thors. If it was that simple then I got no questions."

"I'm guessing it got something to do with your position as the Avatar?" Instructor Rean asked

"You really have a knack for guessing. It's almost creepy. But you are right. As you know. Both me and Levi don't have birth certificates. We got no homeland. Liam place us into those locations. Levi in Nord and me in Liberl. I think Levi is thinking about this too. I'm 17 while he's 20. But the problem is-" Suddenly I paused as I sense something fowl in the air.

"Venti?"

"Instructor, Can we go somewhere? Like now?"

"All right, sure. But where?"

"The breach in Ordis And we need to hurry!"

Me and Instructor Rean begin to leave the Courageous as he take Valimar. We begin to head into took a while as I was in Valimar's hand.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Bell, When It Is Ringing)

We arrived at the beach in Ordis, however, the entire surrounding was cloaked in red. Black Pleroma Grass was all over the beach.

"What's going on here?" Instructor Rean asked in concern. "Black Pleroma Grass everywhere."

"I don't know, but I sense something fowl in the air." I answered. "I'm sensing a supernatural power that cause it." Then I sense large amount of hostile apporcheding" "Wait, something coming!"

And the suddenly hostile spirits appeared.

"Hostile spirits?!"

And then next was a Large field appeared in the back. It was a giant spider.

"What the-?!" Instructor Rean exclaimed

"It's one of the Seventy-Seven Devils! I think we found our culprit!" I said. "Instructor, if we let the hostile spirit run loose..."

"Then Ordis will be in danger... I need to call the others and-" But then the Fiends aren't waiting around. "Tch, damnit. Venti, we need to drive them back!"

"Right!"

Me and Instructor Rean begin to fight hard and drive back the Fiends away. However, as we taken down one by one. More than show up.

"Tch. There's no end to them!" Instructor Rean growled.

Hmm... Maybe I should try that...

"Hey, Instructor... Maybe I should try something." I said as I put away my bow.

I open my arms as I channel my power. It was a beautiful green color and then spread it out everywhere. The sands begin to glow green as sparking orbs begin to rise up from the ground and into the air. I slowly raise my arms into the air and a breeze spread all over with the beautiful green color. The Fiends slowly vanished and the Seventy Seven Devil soon slowly explode in a purple light. And the entire surrounding change back to normal.

Instructor Rean sheath his sword.

"Venti, what was that?" Instructor Rean ask me.

"One of my powers." I answered as I turn to my Instructor with a smile. "I was able to purify the foul miasma within the beach and repel the fiend responsible for it. Levi isn't the only one capable of this. The only difference is that he is light while mine is wind. Unfortunately, I can't repel the Ebon Knight's curse like he can. I mean I can but... not that good."

"I see. Considering you're both avatars... I would expected you two would have similar abilities."

"We can do magic and all that stuff. However, I'm not as highly intelligent as my brother is. I'm just like everyone else, or Ash and Musse in particular." I turn around to the ocean. "Hey, Instructor... What do you think will happen to me?"

"What do you mean?"

"About my future here. Ever since this war. I never thought about what will I do. All I do know is that i'm good with my hands, and my powers."

"Ah, so you thinking about your future, aren't you?" Instructor Rean asked. "You said you have a mind of an engineer, right?"

"Hmm... yeah. Actually. I got a lot of things I want to invent. You think I should set myself in an engineering course?"

"Well, let's see what you can do first. But hey. The future is yours. You can become anything."

"Hehe. You're right. We should head back Instructor."

"Yeah. Let's head back." Instructor Rean nodded

(Liam's pov)

I was checking on Cedric to see his little bond event. Cedric was at the game room as he seems he was sitting down. I'm guessing he's bored. Then Rean enter and then appoached him.

"Hello, Your Highness. Are you here playing a game?" Rean asked

"That was the plan, yes. However, unfortunately, it doesn't seem anyone is interested in playing with me." Cedric sighed. "Due to my position as Crown Prince. A lot of people are a bit nervous to be around me. I wish I can be more like Olivert and Alfin. They seem to be carefree and the students around my age is fine with them."

"What game are you planning to play, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Vantage Master. The game is quite popular. I play it with Alfin and a few others in Class I. I would ask the other students who have free time but..."

"Well, in that case, why don't I play with you?"

"Ah, you play Vantage Master before haven't you?"

"Yes. It was quite addicted when I first play it."

"In that case, let us begin the game." Cedric smile.

As so Cedric and Rean begin to play Vantage Master. Once the game begin. They begin to have some fun. And then afterward. Cedric managed to won. And then notice they drawn in some crowd. And then Cedric asked if any of them like to play with him. And added that don't worry about his status. He's just like a regular boy. And then so on. Many begin to play with Cedric. Cedric won and lost. And then soon Cedric is having a lot of fun. A few moments later.

"That was certainly more fun then I expected." Cedric smiled

"I'm glad you're feeling lively Your Highness. Looks like people are starting to be more comfort around you." Rean nodded

"You're right. Honestly. you have no idea how much I wanted to be like everyone else. I may be a crown prince. But I'm just a regular boy on the inside. So thank you again, Instructor."

"Me? No. I didn't do much."

"Modest as always. That is what I admire about you. Still, I'm glad i'm able to have some excitement in my life. I was always bedridden and now here I am, on an adventurer, saving the world. And best of all. making new friends along the way. Huh. Now I might even tell some stories that will make Alfin jealous! Pardon me Instructor. I got to go find Alfin. Until then. Let's play again!"

I was about to head to the game room until I was interrupted as there was a call for an emergency meeting. I was in the meeting room with the others.

"Hey, guys, what's going on?" I asked as I enter.

"We have a dire emergency." Towa answered. "We're waiting for everyone to hurry and come."

I wonder what is going on. Then after, Randy, Tita, Elliot and Alisa. Once everyone is here. We begin to learn something horrible.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - A Sudden Turn of Event)

"Eryn Village is being suppressed by the Enhanced Jaegers?!" I exclaimed as I got off from my seat and see the map from Rean and the others have gathered.

The Enhanced Jaegers have somehow taken over the Teleporter Stones. To make it worst. Eryn Village is in danger!

"It's just like the request we received from Anonymous…" Rean muttered.

Wait, Anonymous send the request that Eryn Village is being invaded!? How!? Seriously, who is this guy?! Is it really Liam?

"Wh-What the hell is going on?!" Machias asked. "The society shouldn't have the time to pull a stunt like this! What are they thinking?!"

"You're right. Ouroboros is sure to prioritize carrying out their ultimate plan. As such, you'd think they would be focusing on Crossbell, since the Steel Maiden is there, but…" Gaius trailed off.

"Right. I'm certain this is a do-or-die moment For Ouroboros as well." Musse nodded. "Especially since it seems they're fighting against the church and other groups all over the continent at the moment."

"Then again, even though Ouroboros looks logical, some of their guys fool around way too much." Randy replied. "Sharon and Duvie probably know all about that."

"Either say my name right, or don't say it at all!" Duvalie growled.

"Right. Ouroboros is unique in that a chain of command, such as one you might see in a state-run organization, does not exist." Sharon nodded."All plans are ultimately under the discretion of the Anguis. It is by their request that Enforcers and the units under them operate. But Enforcers are free to decide if they will operate in response to said request. "

"It's still a mystery how the society has managed to last so long." Alisa replied.

"The enchanted jaegers aren't the same as the normal sorts, are they?"Angelica asked

"Right." Duvalie nodded. "There are some that use their talents to work their way into the jaeger corp.. but they're different. They're usually formal soldiers and mercenaries, taken in under contract and used as disposable pawns. There's even a mechanism that can strength the body and reset the memory within the contracted period."

"Wh-What?! Well, they did seem a bit strength, now you mention it." Elliot trailed off.

"Reminded me of the members of Jester. They were the one who carried out the raid on the Erebonian guild branches four years ago." Sara said. "They were suppressed and captured, but none of them remembered who hired them or gave orders when they were questioned."

"It's fairly disturbing if you ask me." Kurt replied. "It also lines up with the rumors regarding the Faceless and his ability to manipulate memory."

"Probably a lot of shady stuff goin' on behind the scenes." Crow said.

"In any case, they seem to lack the basic decencies of honor of true warriors." Laura replied.

"Yeah, I don't want them lumped in with real jaegers." Fie said.

"Considering their equipment are just boosting their strength. But not the actual strength." Cedric trailed off.

"But Gilbert seems a bit different, doesn't he?" Tita asked.

"Really? How do?" Millium asked.

"Well, he did help out once in Phantasma." Olivert respond.

"So the ex-secretary of Ruan pledged himself to Ouroboros as the regimental commander of an enhanced jaeger corps…" Rean said. "It's just something I heard from Estelle, but you know him, too, right?"

"Back when unusual events began occurring in Liberl, he caused his fair shaore of trouble."

"He occupied the Royal Academy during the chaos of the Orbal Shutdown, too." Tita nodded. "I can't exactly put my finger on it, but there's something here that feels familiar."

"Is it highly possible, isn't it?" Altina asked. "Aside from the Sanguine Ogre, it seems the Anguis and Enforcers are headed for Crossbell."

"And some of these jaeger trash decided to go off on their own and decide to invade Eryn Village for their own amusement or glory against us." I growled. "How dare those jaeger trash… it seems they need to be punished."

"Agreed. No more debating!" Juna nodded. "Let's just start dishin' out punishment! It's for everyone in Eryn Village and the others, too! We've got FAVORS to repay!"

"Yeah, let's rough 'em up!" Ash nodded. "That'll get the message across- that we never wanna see this shit again."

"Hell yeah. We owe Eryn village a debt for keeping us safe and everything else." I nodded.

And I will kill many of their disgusting soldiers related to Ouroboros.

"Hmph… Let's take care of this ahead of time, then, before heading to Crossbell." Jusis advised.

"With the personnel we have here, I think that we'll be able to take care of it in short order." Rean nodded.

"You guys...!" Celine said

"Thank you. Everyone's help would be greatly appreciated, truly." Emma smiled. "Telepathic communication with the village is not working at the moment. Someone is interfering with it somehow."

"And whoever that is will serve as a warning if they ever dare touch Eryn Village." I added.

"Looks like we need a detailed plan, quickly!" Towa stated. "Elise, Your Highness! We need your help too!"

"Of course!" Elise nodded.

"All right, everyone. Let's begin devising our plan of action." Alfin nodded.

So we begin to devised a plan to save Eryn Village and we called it Operation: Free Eryn as the Request that Anonymous said. Fie, Sara, Sharon and Altina will investigate the combat abilities of the Enhanced Jaegers beforehead. While, Emma, Celine, Musse, Gaius and I along with Hamsuke and Luka would work our magic to peer into the barrier's inner state. After finally devising the plan, all of us split into teams. I was with Rean's team. With us is Cedric, Randy and Tita. For some reason Olivert want to join in too. But it's too dangerous for him to join us. But he insist. While the other two teams will serve as a distraction for the jaegers stationed in front of the two teleportation stones. Emma and Celine would create a break in the barrier, allowing the team Rean will lead to power through and free the village. In addiction to that. And speaking of Rean's team. There are others who wish to join in the team. It was Agate and Tio.

We are with Emma and Celine on the outdoor front deck of the ship. Emma cast a spell and a portal appeared.

"Hot Damn! Your skills are legit, woman." Agate praised.

"It's amazing what a genuine witch can do. Magic and Orbal arts really are quite different, aren't they?" Tio nodded

"I'll warp you there! You should appear right at the Saint-Gral entrance." Celine said.

"The catalyst for the barrier looks to be three objects that have been placed inside." Emma added. "If we can neutralize them, then everyone should be able to pass through unimpeded."

"Understood." Tita nodded.

"That stupid desk jockey, I swear. He's WAY overdue for a firm backhand." Agate sighed.

"Oh trust me. He will get more then a firm backhand." I replied.

"Military monsters, archaisms, and a powerful unidentified presence detected!" Towa announced.

"Rean… May Aidios protect you all!" Elise replied.

"You too, Olivert, Cedric. Take care of yourselves out there!" Alfin added. "And Cedric, make sure Olivert doesn't get caught in the battle"

"But of course!" We respond.

Then we begin to be transfer into the Labyrinth. We arrived safely.

"All right, here we are!" Randy said.

"This is the Praise 1 entrance. Levi, you came here with Juna and the others for their training session." Rean replied.

"Yeah. But also train Cedric as well." I nodded

"It's been a while since I've trained here as well." Cedric nodded.

"Excellent! We're making progress one step at a time." Olivert smiled.

"I have to agree with Tita. It's too dangerous for you to be here in the battlefield." Cedric nodded.

"Yeah, aren't you supposed to take it easy until you're fully recovered?" Agate asked. "Schera and Mueller aren't gonna be happy about this."

"There's no need to worry. Liam use his magic to heal not just my left eye but also my wounds." Olivert smiled. "It was rather generous of him. But I should be thankful that he did."

"I'm surprised that he did. But we're still concern." I replied.

"No worries my friend. I'm healthy and ready to fight." Olivert then turn to Tio. "I appraise that you've found the time, what with your busy schedules and whatnot."

"Yeah. Especially Agate and Tio." Rean nodded. "Isn't it a busy period for the guild and the foundation?"

Tio let out a small chuckled. "It isn't unmanageable. Besides, I have some business to take care of in this area."

"Same here. Miles contacted me and asked me to head over to Legram." Agate added

"Well, we're really happy you're here!" Tita smiled.

"Yeah. The more the help, the better." I smiled.

"We'll find that regimental commander in the village, and teach him a lesson." Randy replied. "The villagers' safety is top priority."

"Agreed. Let's head out." Rean nodded.

We nodded and then begin to exit. Once we did.

"Where did you guys come from?!"

The Enhance Jaegers appeared in a panicked.

"What happened to the barrier?!"

"Were you hiding in the Labyrinth this whole time?!"

"Are you guys that stupid?" I sweatdrop as I palmface. "Why the hell would we even set up a camp in the Labyrinth."

"Our witch friends have certain unique abilities." Rean replied.

"There's aren't a lot of you, huh?" Agate smirked. "This'll be easy."

"Grr… Prepared for battle!"

"Notify the Regimental commander!"

"Aeon System, activate!" Tio said with her Orbal staff glowing.

"Orbal Gear lll in standby mode!" Tita replied.

"Feast your eyes on my improvised performance!" Olivert smirked.

"But remember to be careful Olivert…" Cedric sweatdrop.

I link up with Rean, Cedric link up with Olivert, Randy with Tio and Tita with Agate. We begin to kick some trash jaegers of Ouroboros' ass. Me and everyone else begin to handle them easily thanks to our combind efforts.

"Ugh… so this is the power of the Ashen Chevalier, The Crown Prince, the Heavy Blade, the Red Reaper… and the Golden Angel or was it the… Silver Angel…"

"It can be any… they got the foundation girl, and the ZCF mech, too… we're at a serious disadvantage. Espcually with the Si…lv…" And that one went unconscious.

"Enemy's been neutralized. They were better than I expected." Randy replied.

"But we are better." I replied.

"Yes, it seems their abilties were enhanced, perhaps through hypnosis and focus training. It is certainly within Ouroboro's capabilities." Olivert said.

"Enhanced or not, they can't think on their feet." Agate replied. "That's we've got the upper hand."

"Let's continue to the village." Rean said.

As we begin to resume. I stop.

'Hamsuke, Luka. You know what to do.' I telepath my familiars.

'Right!' Both of them nodded.

I snap my finger and teleported the Enhanced Jaegers who are unconscious to their death.

We arrived into the Eerie Forest and just as we arrived. The Enhanced Jaegers appeared to stop us but we dealt with them. Tio used her Aeon System and Archaisms are in the vicinity. But also an unusual signals. Come to think of it. I did sense some weird wavelength coming from a distance. As we pass the unconscious Enhance Jaegers, just like before. I teleported them to their death. The others haven't notice yet.

Next we found a tank Archaism guarding the teleporter stone and we begin to confront it and begin to destroy it. After we did. The teleporter is inactive which is strange. Someone must have tampered with it. Then I saw something from a distance.

"Look, over there." I pointed at the direction by the strange red glow.

We begin to approach this red glow and then found a weird device.

Olivert hummed "Another weird device."

"Could this be what cause the teleporter stone to inactive?" Cedric asked.

"Tio, take a look at this." Tita replied as she examine the device.

"This seems to be the contraption which interfered with the protective barrier." Then she brought her staff and use her Aeon System. Then she is done. "Analysis complete. This is a very complex device. It sync with Orbal energy field and hacks into them."

"So that what caused the barrier to be jammed." I sighed."But can we disable it or destroy it do the barrier and teleporter be fix?"

"There are three in total. In order to restore the barrier to its normal fuction, all three must be deactivated. But destroying this one should at least allow us to reactivate the teleporter."

"Sounds like a plan!" Tita then begin to ticker with it and then it's turn off.

Then the teleporter activated again.

"Nice, it work! Nice one Tita!" I cheered.

"N-No, Tio was the one who figured it out." Tita smiled and then look at the device. "You know… this device reminds me of the ones my grandpa invented."

"Really?" Cedric asked.

"Yes. They were designed to shut out the effects of the Aureole during the Orbal Shutdown."

"Yeah, that does ring a bell." Agate replied

"What were they called, 'Zero Field Generator'?" Olivert asked. "They allowed the use of orbments despite the shutdown, yes?"

"Yep! They canceled out the effects of the Orbal Shutdown." Tita answered. "This device here does the exact opposite. It generates a field which restrict the use of orbal energy."

"So Ouroboros is twisting Professor Russell's invention for their own plans." Rean said.

"The nerve of them." I muttered. "Ouroboros are just tacky as always."

"Yeah… it's not the first time they've pulled this, either." Randy replied.

Tio hummed "I think I know who's responsible for this."

"Who?" I asked

"The Sixth Anguis of Ouroboros. Doctor F. Novartis."

"So an Anguis of Ouroboros huh?"

Guess that's another I need to strike to weaken Ouroboro's power.

"It would definitely confirm rumors that there's an engineering prodigy in Ouroboros's ranks." Agate replied. "We'll whether we cross him or not, we need to get to the village."

Rean nodded. "Right, let's focus on that for now!"

"The diversion team is doing a fine job, no doubt, but w ought to make our moves swiftly." Olivert stated.

"Right, we can't deny the rescue." I nodded

We hurry to the statue and arrived at the village.

"Is that… a magical barrier?" Tio asked as she see the magic barrier is distorted

"It is. But it doesn't seem to be Ouroboro's doing." Rean replied

I sense those Jaeger trash coming.

"Heads up, we got company!" I alerted everyone and then we prepared for combat and then we begin to take down the enhanced Jaegers. Then we defeated them.

"There. That should do it. The rest must be up ahead. Let's hurry and save the villagers." I stated.

As the others went ahead of me. I teleported the Enhance Jaegers to their deaths. We soon enter the village and found the device. Tita open the panel of the device and disable it with quick work.

"Two down, one to go." Cedric replied.

"But before that… we got some company to deal with!" Rean stated as a group of Enhance Jaegers and their military monsters appeared.

"When they mentioned the Sixth Anguis, I had a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach…"

"The regimental commander's all too happy to bend over backwards to please the Anguis."

"So it was that idiot from before." I growled.

"So where is your regimental commander anyway?" Rean asked. "Already on the retreat?"

"Save your breath! We're not about to share any info with the enemy"

"And even if we wanted to, our tongues are straight up tied. They screwed with our heads…"

"Th-That could only mean…" Tita gulp.

"Mind control by high-level hypnosis." Tio finished the sentence.

"Man, makes me almost feel sorry for these guys." Agate replied.

"Well, if you're not plannin' to get out of our way, we're just gonna have to cut right through you!" Randy said.

Soon we begin to battle with them. We are even the odds of numbers. But we were able to preveil against the Enhance Jaegers. Once they are done. We restrained them and the villagers came out.

"I-I'm so, so sorry!" The witch Nina apologized. "Those guys snuck in somehow while it was MY turn managing the barrier. It's all my fault!"

"Hey now, it's not your fault. You guys have never experienced something like this, right?" I asked

"That's right. Don't berate yourself dear." Witch Auler answered and said. "We've all let out guard down after the hundreds of years our village has passed without threat."

"And judging by their timing, they were waiting right on Rose to leave to get their nerve to strike." Liese growled

"Well, now that that's said and done, it's good to see you're all safe." Randy stated

"That impenetrable barrier spell of yours was incredible to say the least." Rean added

"Those are some kinds words, but we barely just scraped by." Witch Dallier replied. "All of us put together couldn't do any more than protect ourselves. You have our gratitude for all the help you've given us. But, there are still other wretched contraptions wandering around the area."

"Oh, speaking of that." Tita replied

"Do have you have any idea where the third device they brought in might be?" Tio asked

"Well, I saw them carrying something to the clearing outside of the village. So that must be it." The little girl name Sigyn answered.

"Then Gilbert is there too." I said.

"Sounds like we've got our work cut out for us." Rean nodded. "Secure the exits from the village. Emma should join you soon."

"Got it." Witch Auler nodded

"Take care of yourselves. Oh, and this is for you." Then Liese gave us a Witch's Ginger syrup. "Go on, drink it."

We drink it and we're back on full energy and our wounds are heal too. Perfect!

Once we were head. We begin to head to Gilbert location. There we see his cock arrogant which will be his downfall. Once we arrived at the clearing.

"You bet I have. I went from chief warrant officer to regimental comamnder in our time apart." Gilbert replied. "Now I received orders directly from Professor Novartis, the Sixth Anguis. He send me here to test his Null Field Generator!"

"So it was this Sixth Anguis that put you up to this." I growled

"You're tellin' me this was all that crazy old geezer's idea?" Randy sighed.

"So it's a rip-off of Professor Russel's invention… No, it'd be more accurate to call it a modified version." Tio muttered.

"At any rate, there's little doubt this generator was used to take control of Eryn's barrier." Rean said as he draw his Tachi. "And now we know that it's unrelated to the Phantasmal Blaze Plan that the other Anguis are working toward. I must warn you, Gilbert. We will use any means necessary to stop you, if you make any further move to harm this village."

"Then you will receive the worst punishment I will muster." I glared at him. "We owe this village a great debt for many reasons. You will pay for targeting this village."

"I don't sense any life in there. So it's automatic too." I replied.

"It's the C-Unit technology from the Imperial Liberation Front!" Olivert replied.

"Damn it… is this the same kind of tank that's been deployed in Crossbell?" Randy muttered

"It's firepower and endurance are incomparably higher than anything we've seen before!" Tio exclaimed

"It's more like the tank Kanone used during the uprising… no, it surpasses even that!" Tita added

"Not even Panzer Soldats stand a chance against this thing… that's some metal monster." Agate muttered.

I couldn't help but laughed.

We begin to battle both of them. I buff everyone with Muses Song and Cedric with his royal command and then we begin to charge and strike at Gilbert Archaism and the Tank. The Tank fire one hell cannon and we dodge it and then we use Agate Brave Order and then I use Spiral Pillars and Rean use Arcane Gale. Cedric use his craft and with charge flames. As Olivert cast his Arts. Tita and the others are dealing with Gilbert and then. As Gilbert launch bullet attacks onto us. Some dodge, some taken hits. I use Luminescence Rain and Rean follow up. Soon the tank fire a cannon shot at us but I use my magic and created a barrier and It took quite the impact. No wonder Panzer Soldats are no match for it. And then Cedric cast his Arts and launch devastating damage to it and Olivert Shot many orbal energy shots at Gilbert and the tank. Agate with his Craft, Tio with her Aeon System. Randy with his Halberd and Tita with her Orbal Gear. Once I summoned Hamsuke to gather them in one place and Rean follow up. Rean use his Fiery Helix on both of them and then. And then Gilberts Archaism begin to explode on him and force him to fight on his feet. And then We all launched an all out attack onto Gilbert and the tank. I use Luka and Luka fire a magical beam onto Gilbert and the tank. The Tank launched a missile onto Olivert. But I cast a barrier on him and then Cedric cast his Arts and then strike both the tank and Gilbert with devastating Blow. I also join and cast a powerful Art and then launch another devastating damage. And then Rean use Arcane Gale and then I follow up and then Agate use his S craft on Both Gilbert and the Tank. And then Finally for my Part. I begin to use Primordial Storm on both Gilbert and the Tank. The Tank malfunctioned and Gilbert was on his Knees.

"Are you serious!?" Gilbert exclaimed "That wasn't just my trump card… but also the most powerful tank in history! It should be impossble for you to so much as scratch it!"

"Then clearly you don't know us." I remarked. "You face not just Rean, and me. But also Randy, Agate, Tita, Tio, Prince Olivert and Prince Cedric. We are powerful in our own right. And with all of us working together. We can defeat any powerful toys and foes you throw at us! And speaking of toys. It's time to break yours."

I zoom and slash through the giant tank, destroying it completely.

"Whaaaaaaaa?!"

"Show's over, loser." I replied as I zoom to Gilbert and grab his neck and lift him. "You got some nerve attacking this village that we owe a great debt. You and that Auguis you call a Processor. It seems I may have to find him and punish him myself!"

"You're not the only one who's on a warpath Levi."

Celine and Emma arrived and Emma look really piss off as I am.

"You brought through the barrier!" Rean said.

"We managed somehow. I'd keep your distance if I were you. Emma's really on the warpath as Levi this time." Celine stated

"I don't blame her. I would do the same." I nodded

"You may as well consider me the same!" Roselia's voice added

"My, you do have a lot of nerve targeting my very own hometown, don't you?" Vita's voice asked as I sense she's just as angry in a calm state.

Roselia and Vita then showed up.

"I didn't expect to see you here, Rose, Vita." Rean said.

"About time. Talk about showing up right at the last second." Celine said.

"I would've come sooner, had the Weissland Army matters not kept my hands tied." Vita replied.

"Looks like I can't leave my village without some sly fox trying to sneak in and cause mischief." Roselia glared at Gilbert.

"For that little trouble you cause. I'll send your head to your Grandmaster and that Anguis. You will join your jaeger trash in Genhena!" I said giving him a death glare that is like staring at Death himself as I brought out a sword made from magic.

"I figured you were up to something, but I was hoping it wasn't something like this." A voice intervened.

Suddenly, Campanella appeared.

"M-Master Campanella!"

"Great, and now the Fool shows up." Agate said.

"Nothing better to do than stir up crap, eh?" Randolph asked.

"I can't say I'm surprised to learn of your involvement in this Campanella." Vita replied.

"Oh, I should've stepped in a teensy bit earlier, huh? Too bad I was just so unbelievably busy." Campenella replied. "Angel boy, please release him to me. And don't kill him just yet."

"You expect me to not kill him after this fool after what he has done by his own arrogant and will?" I glared.

"I don't blame you for being angry. You have every right to be. As such, it's Ouroboro's responsibility to make amends for the trouble Little Gilby caused. I understand that you don't trust me. But please, may I?"

I stare at Campanella as I doubt him and his words. I'm not so sure why but I can tell he actually meant it.

"Fine. I don't know why but I'll trust in your word. I'll leave his life in your hands. You better not disappoint me."

"You have my thanks Angel Boy. Little Gilby, I never would've pegged you as one to take advantage of the professor's ego like this, and blatantly disregard your orders. Looks to me like you need some discipline, or you might not be worth keeping anymore. May I, Angel Boy?"

"Very well. Make sure you give him a punishment I find satisfying."

I drop Gilbert and then he was being floated up and then attacked with lightning magic.

"Ughghghghghghghghghg!" Gilbert respond the electrocute Campanella is giving him.

"I specifically told you to keep tabs on the village. Not once did I tell you to invade it. I seem to recall having this exact same conversation with you four years ago." Campanella scolded

"I beg your forgiveness, Master Campanella! I won't do it ever again, I swear!"

The magic spell ended and he fell to the ground, knocking himself out when he landed.

"I suppose I could find it in me to look past this one. But will the others forgive Little Gilby? That's the real question. I doubt Angel boy would forgive little Gilby though. You'll need to apologize, that's clear. And you'll also need to swear on the Grandmaster's name to never again meddle with this village."

"And who is this Grandmaster exactly?" I asked. "Because I have some good choice of words for what I think of their end goal."

"Oh, I'm sure you do, but alas, you are not worthy enough to know about the Grandmaster."

"Is that so. Guess I'll find out myself."

I zoom to Campenalla before he can finish. I grab his head, much to his surprise. And then force Campanella to look at me and my eyes glow Silver. Then I mind-read Campenalla's mind and absorbed the Information. And then see the Professor identify and The Grandmaster. And the location of Ouroboros. The Celestial Globe. Interesting. I got all I need as I let go of Campanella.

"So that's your Grandmaster. 'She's' an Interesting woman." I cross my arm.

While the rest of my allies are surprised. The most who is surprised is Vita and Campanella.

"What did you just do to me?" Campanella step back.

"Let's just say I examined you. But that's all. Now I know who your Grandmaster is. As well as the other Anguis and Enforcer's Identity."

"Ah, I see… you must have mind-read my mind. That is a very impressive technique. You are even more dangerous as I thought if you're able to enter my mind."

"Perhaps. Don't even try to use a build a mind blocker. I have ways to get you to spill more information."

"Then I shall escape before you can. As well as informed the others not to let them be near you. In any case, you'll excuse us, we shall leave your village and not return."

"Well, I have no objections, if you leave and take that idiot with you." Roselia replied.

"Your generosity is unmatched, Elder." Campanella bowed. "Well, then. See you around, Vita. Give my regards to all of the other witches we stirred up trouble for. Schwarzer, Your Highnesses, Angel Boy. Always a pleasure."

He then vanished along with Gilbert and that device and the village was cleared. Too bad for the tank and Archiasm since they've been destroyed.

After we enjoyed the banquet Roselia provided as a thank you for saving the village, we then returned to the Courageous II to regroup.

After a while of resting, I was honestly disgusted by the Enhance Jaegers. The next time I see Gilbert. He's will by at the end of his life. Anyway, during the call. Elise and Rean approached me to help them with something. It turns out Elise patched up his jacket back as an Instructor. Nice. As we went to the Hexen Clan. Rose, Witch Dallier and Sigyn is honored to help enchanted to control his Mana. Once they finished enchanted it. I use a small fraction of my power as I did to the enchanted and repel the backlash. And I return to the village. Rean decided to invite me to the group to clear out some requests. So far we begin to journey to the Languedoc Canyon where Ouroboros was using the Railways cannons. The group Rean recruited is Cedric since because of Alfin. Ash, Crow, Me, Randy and Venti. Us boys, huh? Anyway. We we accompany by Alfin and Elise. We walk our way and then we end up encountering a Fiend.

"Is that a fiend?!" Elise exclaimed

"It looks like the devils mention in scripture." Alfin gulp. "There have been a number of sighting recently."

"Perhaps because of the Great Twilight." I hummed

"We'll handle it. Elise, Your Highness, please stand back." Rean said

Then we begin to fight off the fiend. The battle begin with me Linking up with Crow Randy and then we begin strike. I use my Theia's Light and buff everyone and then we charge and the Fiend's minions begin to attack us. I used Spiral Pillar and drag them and strike them twice as Randy follow up. Then the rest follow up with their attacks as we strike and dodge the fiends. Then we end up landing some powerful blows on the Fiend and his minions. Then defeated some of the minions as the Fiend begin to launch a counter-attack and push us back. I then launch some swirl slashes onto it and then it begin to attack and I dodge and counter-attack and then Ash and the others follow up. Then the Fiend roared and summoned minions again and it even power up and launched it's powerful attack onto us. Rean Arcane Gale attack. Cedric's Arts along with Venti. And I join in the casting Arts as well and then stroke the monsters and minions. Soon the others begin to strike the Fiend and it explode into purple light. We're done with that.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Ordis, the Azure Port Town)

We headed back to the ship to rest and then go out again. This time, Altina decided to join along. And then we head to Ordis and then we head to Miranda's Tavern. There we see Miranda.

"It's about time for Leo to get here." Miranda replied then she saw us."Oh, you're that Instructor and assistant from Thors. Did you see Leo on your way?"

"You mean Leonora? No we haven't seen her."

"She did say she was planning to visit, right?" Rean asked

"Of course! That's why I'm preparing my special paella for her while I wait." Miranda nodded. "She's late, but it's probably nothing to worry about. I'll bet she just wants to look around town. I can wait a little longer."

"I see…"

"Is she really late Rean? It doesn't sound like her to me." I whisper to him. "Also I sense a murderous aura nearby as well."

"Yeah, I sense it too. Let's take a look out front, just in case."

We begin to look around the town but then headed to the murderous aura nearby and then saw Leonora and… oh great. Shirley.

"Look over there!" Elise whisper

"It's Leonora and that girl from Ouroboros." Alfin whisper

"Right. Shirley… the Sanguine Ogre." Rean whisper

"Ugh. What the hell is she doing here?" I muttered in whisper.

"Everyone, stay calm. Let's see where this goes."

"Dammit Shirley, what are you up to this time?" Randy muttered.

And then they suddenly draw their weapons.

"Oh great. Look like they're gonna fight!" I stated in whisper

"Damn, this isn't going well." Rean muttered and then we begin to charge in. "Hold on a second!"

Shirley sighed. "Hey, we're having a conversation here! I guess I was wondering when you were gonna butt in, Ashen Awakener. And you brought Angel boy. Lucky me. Oh, Dolphy's here too. How's it going?"

"I'm not here to see you, all right?" Randy sighed.

"What the hell do you want Shirley?" I cross my arm.

"You guys…" Leonora said.

Shirley laughed. "You guys sure have been busy lately."

"Yeah, I didn't think we'd see you again so soon. But that's besides the point." Rean replied. "You two weren't planning to start a fight here, were you?"

"We were gonna move somewhere else first. Give us some credit, man."

"Yeah, Leonora I can, but I can't say the same for a craze ogre like you." I remark

"Hilarious Angel Boy. I still have a score with you! Now you will answer me this. What have you done to Gareth?!"

"That guy? I don't see any reason to tell you." I smirked.

"You better answer me or I will-"

"Will what? You know I can easily crush you beneath my boot. You will never have a change against me. You can try of course, but you'll end up losing part of your arm."

Shirley growled and glared at me.

"Alright, enough you two." Randy sighed. "You can glare at each other later."

"Fine fine. As long as Gareth is alive. Anyway, What do you say, uh… it's Leonora, right?"

"So long as we fight outside town, It shouldn't be a problem." Leonora replied.

"That's not the issue here…" Rean sighed.

"There's really no need for you to fight at all." Elise stated.

"Couldn't you lay down your arms and talk it out?" Alfin asked.

"Hey, I only came here as a tourist in the first place." Shirley replied. "But now Test-Rossa's hungry for some action. I can't just back down."

"I think it's you who's rather hungry when it comes to fighting…" Cedric sighed.

"Okay, if you're willing to go that far, I won't try to stop you." Rean said. "But at least let me make a suggestion. There are better ways to resolve disputes."

"Better ways?" Leonora asked

"It's like I said, you don't have to resort to violence." Elise nodded.

"Okay, I'll bite. Let's hear this 'better way' of yours." Shirley said. "But if I don't like it, we're just gonna go with our original plan."

"All right, let me just think about it." Rean said.

"Is there really a peaceful way to settle this to their satisfaction?" Alfin asked.

"Not unless they do something that count as active." I stated.

"They're both athletic types, so they're probably not going to talk it out." Elise replied.

"True… hmm… athletic…"

"Athletic, huh? I wonder…"

"You got something?"

"Come on, stop mumbling. You think of a better way yet or what?" Shirley sighed.

"I've got it. How about you settle this with a swimming contest?" Rean suggested

"Oh yeah! That's a great idea!" I nodded "I was just thinking that."

"Oh, right. Leonora is in the Swimming Club at Thors." Elise recalled

"What a wonderful idea!" Alfin smiled. "That should let them compete in equal terms."

"Swimming, huh?" Shirley hummed.

"What's the matter? Scared?" Leonora smirked.

"Heh, you wish. I'm just thinking about whether it'd be fun enough to be worth my time. I'm guessing you're pretty good at it?"

"I'm not bad."

"Heheh, nice. Okay, let's do it!"

"Sounds like we've reached an agreement." Elise smiled.

"You'll be racing in the sea, not a pool. I assume that's all right?" Alfin asked

"Yeah, of course." Leonora nodded. "Swimming from here to Bryonia island should be enough of a challenge. I'd say it's about 150 selge. What do you say?"

"150 selge, huh? Sure, why not?" Shirley answered

Well that settle it. But 150 selge at sea… wouldn't that take too long?

"I'm sure you can handle that distance, but that's probably going to take too long." Rean said. "How about we cut it in half to 75 selge?"

"I guess that can still be fun." Shirley answered

"Fine by me. Let's do this!" Leonora smirked

And with that. The showdown of Leonora and Shirley. So me, Rean and the others begin to gather the arrangements and then once we got everything. We begin to gather at the starting line to watch. Shirley and Leonora got their swimsuits on and then Me, Rean Altina and Leonora sit on the other side in front of Alfin, Elise and Shirley. While Randy drive the boat.

"Oh, wow! You were in the Swimming Club, too, Black Rabbit? You want to get in on this race, too?" Shirley asked

"I think I'll pass." Altina answered. "Even on a good day, swimming to 40 arge is about the best I can do. I will be supporting Leonora from the sidelines today."

"I can't believe you're both about to swim 7500 arge!" Alfin replied.

"Yes, the most I've ever done is 1000…" Elise sighed.

"Hey, that's impressive enough." Leonora said then she turn to Shirley. "How about you? Any experience in long-distance swimming?"

"Heh, it's nothing compared to someone who grew up on a fleet like you." Shirley answered. "But I've swam through rivers in full armor before, if that counts."

That's quite the accomplishment. I should probably leave my swimming experience.

"You better show me a good time, all right?"

"All right, I'm not gonna hold back, then." Leonora replied.

Hmm… Leonora is equals to Laura and Principle Le Quin right? But not so sure about Shirley. It will be an interesting race, I'll admit.

"Okay, let's get this show on the road." Randy called out. "You two need more time to get ready?"

"No, I'm good to go."

"Same here. Let's go this!" Shirley smirked.

"Sounds like they're ready." I replied.

"Okay, sounds like we're all ready." Rean said as he begin to be the referee.

Once Leonora and Shirley take the position. Rean begin to countdown until finally both Shirley and Leonora jump into the water and swim all the way to the finish line. I'm a bit concerned but I have faith that Leonora will win. We begin to wait and then we watch from a distance and then wait for it… wait for it. Those two are equal terms it seems. And then I see Leonora was in the lead and… she won!

We then begin to drive our way to the beach. And see Leonora and Shirley tired. I clap for those two. Wait… why am I slapping for Shirley of all people?

"Not bad. Not bad at all." I praised them as I clap.

"That was fantastic, you guys!" Alfin cheered

"I was right on the edge of my seat the whole time. And you both showed so much passion! I got chills!" Elise added

"Nice work, Leonora." Altina praised

"You were great out there, Shirley." Randy praised his cousin.

"Heh, thanks Dolphy!" Shirley giggled. "Though I'm surprised you even priased me too, Angel Boy."

"Yeah, even I was surprised. Wonder why." I hummed.

"All right, that was pretty fun." Shirley then got up. "But I'm done playing around. We're enemies again the enxt time we meet, and I''m not gonna go easy on you. Plus, I still have a score to settle with you Angel Boy."

"That I kill your Jaeger trash comrades?" I cross my arm said. "I'm sure I heard the term, kill or be killed for Jaegers to do their job."

"True. However, you did capture Gareth. He's daddy's friend. He should have escape by now or something. But thinking that you capture us with that tight sphere. It's a safe bet. Plus I still have a date with you."

"A date?!" I blushed.

"Now hold up!" Randy exclaimed. "Since you are going out with Shirley, Levi?! And Shirley, aren't woman are your type?"

"I won't deny that." Shirley replied

"Hang on! Since when did I-" Oh wait. I just remember. "Oh wait… it was back in Sutherland."

"Yep. So you better keep your word and give me good time."

"She was really something. I don't think anyone's ever pushed me that hard before." Leonrea replied.

"As in the Red Constellation's assault craft?" Altina asked. "According to my database, its firepower is quite impressive."

And so we begin to head back and arrived in Ordis. After that. We begin to go visit Olivert's hometown. Once we did. There was something going on. We don't know why. We begin to visit Kai and Tilia. They seem to be concern about something.

"Hey Kai, Tilia. Long time no see." I called out to them.

Then they turn around and greeted us.

"Oh hey!" Tilia smiled. "I've heard that Toval's safe, too! It's made us so happy that we've been thanking Aidios every day!"

"It sucks that we have to keep it a secret though… I don't like secrets." Kai sighed. "By the way. Is that request why you're here?"

"Oh yeah. Toval passed it on to us the request, considering he's very busy." I replied.

Alfin giggled. "The others told me a bit of you two. Alster's done so much for my brother. I'd very much like to repay that debt, even if it's just a little."

"O-Okay! That's very sweet!" Tilia smiled. Then she notice something. "Um… What exactly did the town do for your brother?"

"I-It's a rather long story. We'll tell you some other time." Elise nervous smile.

"Y-Yes, another time." Cedric nervous laugh of her sister boldness.

"Anyway, would you mind if we asked you a few questions?" Rean asked. "Toval mentioned the town was having problems with some kind of monster. Can you tell us anything about it?"

"Y-Yes, that's right." Kai nodded. "Recently, it started showing up near town almost every night. Obviously, no one wanted it around, but we all made do. There was some damage to equipment and plants, but it kept getting worst. Things took a real turn yesterday. It was the first time that people ended up injured."

"Oh, my… I suppose that's not the sort of thing one can simply wait out, is it?" Alfin asked

"No, it's not. The really creepy part is that we don't even know what it looks like." Tilia replied. "The town asked this hunter to help us get rid of it. He's pretty famous around here. It's so scary… the monster appears out of nowhere, and then it disappears just as fast! It's like we're in a horror story…"

"A monster that appears out of nowhere… and it disappeared fast…" I hummed as I begin to think. What kind of monster does that.

"It really does feel that way. We actually had some soldiers come by, too, but given the situations, they've held off on any operation."

Rean sighed. "Why does that not surprised me."

"It seems they've been neglecting their duties just like during the civil war." Elise trailed off.

"And there was that Airship incident already."

"All the adults were talking about it this morning. They all agreed that we can't afford any more damage done." Tilia stated. "The mayor suggested that we all move to the mining town, Aragon."

"Wait, what?! The mining town?" Cedric asked in shocked.

"Ah yes. That guy…" I muttered as I remember him. That guy was under the curse as I recalled. I don't trust him. "But hold on. That would mean Alster is going to be abandoned temporarily."

"So that's what you two were preparing for…" Alfin sadden.

"But this town is…" Cedric sadden.

"I'm sorry, everyone. I know this is shocking news." Kai replied. "But you guys have saved Alster once. If anyone can find out the truth about this monster, it's you. So, um, if you have the time, would you mind looking into it for us?"

"We'd really appreciate it!" Tilia stated. "I just can't stand the thought of parting with our home. It's full of memories with Mom and Dad…"

"Yeah, I understand how you two feel." I trailed off.

"Is there anyway that we can help out?" Elise asked

"Well we have a lot of memories in this town, too." Rean answered "We may only have today to investigate, but we'll do whatever we can."

"Really?! That's great!" Tilia smiled with joy

"We can't thank you enough." Kai smiled.

"Oh, there's no need. We're happy to help." Alfin smiled.

"Yeah. Not to mention something feel suspicions about it as well." I nodded.

"You think so?" Rean nodded.

"Yes, although I will take a gamble. However, we don't have a lot of clues. So let us investigate with the townfolks. Once we got all we need, let's discuss what's going on back here. I just hope I am right."

"Understood."

We begin to ask all over the talk. Here is what we learn that a man got attack from behind. And the monster look like a giant cat. But there was a strange noise when he was attacked. It was a high-pitch sound like a whistle. Interesting. Next was the Inn. We discuss the people about the monster and they replied that it was devastating their field and waterways. It vanished without a trace. If the monster has winds. It would make sense. But a monster with high pitch sound… that look like a giant cat that sound like a whistle… Next we discuss with the Mayor. He was really suspicious. He knows something. I can feel it. The stupid cursed keep messing it all up. But he's a suspect. Next we ask someone and then she told us that she caught a glimpse of someone weird. She doesn't recognize in the town. He spend all day looking around the town and loitering near the field. Suspicious guy looking around in the town and field. Hmm… this mysterious guy sounds trouble. Is this guy connected to the monster? No. Not until we got all the information. Next we head to the Chapel and talk to the father there. So far he told us that the local men have been conscripted and the townspeople have been forced to evacuate due to the threat. And the evacuation is today which we already heard. However. We found out that the Mining town residence is empty due to the conscription. And then the mayor said something about good of the Empire. The curse talking.

"Okay, let's wrap this up." Rean said. "First of all, let's summarize what we learned. There are many puzzling aspects to this case."

"Yeah. It's not only the monster in this situation." I nodded. "Let's head over to Kai and Killia's house."

"Good thinking. I'd like to hear what they make of it, too."

"It's decided, then. Let's go." Alfin nodded.

Then we headed back to Kai and Killia's house and then we begin to talk with them as we sit in the table to discuss.

"First things first, let lay out what we know." Rean said. "We gathered a lot of information, but let's focus on the monster first. Several things we've learned caught my attention, but if we put those stories together, what's strange is… Isn't it a bit too convenient that showed up now of all times?"

"Yeah. I was thinking the same thing. What cause it to come here so suddenly." I nodded

"The hunter mentioned that he lost it midway through the chase each time he went after it." Elise replied. "It almost seems… set up, doesn't it?"

"To be honest, Tilia and I kinda suspected that, too. It just doesn't seem like a coincidence." Kai nodded

"And Auch said it was like a big cat monster or something, right? I was surprised to hear that." Kilia hummed.

"What was it that it surprised you?" Cedic asked.

"Well, um, it just wasn't what I expected, I guess. The crops that were ravaged were grapes, right?"

"Oh, I see. It does seem out of place for a carnivorous monster to be drawn to crops… Grapes, even less so." Elise nodded. "And why would it destroy the irrigation waterways like that? It almost seems like it's trying to harass the town…"

"Harassing the town, hmm." I close my eyes and begin to think.

Elise is right. This 'monster' was harassing the town. It can't be some carnivore monster. What also concerns me is that why is it behaving so abnormal.

"What are your thoughts Levi?"

"Well for starters, Elise is right about the monster is harassing the town. But is it really a monster? Plus what concerns me is why is it acting so abnormal. So my hypothesis is that this 'monster' is likely being controlled by someone."

"What?!" Tilia asked in shocked.

"Controlling monsters?! Is that even possible?!" Kai asked

"Yeah, actually. There are certain monsters that have been specifically trained to respond to sound." Rean answered. "They're known as 'military monsters.' You'll often see jaegers using them."

"Let's not mention back then back during the Civil war there were also the noble alliance using them too." I added

"Someone mentioned seeing a strange man loitering on the outskirts of town. Do you think there's a connection?" Elise asked

"Hmm… after discussing it. I believe so." Cedric replied. "This man loitering on the outskirts of the towns. I can't help but feel like there is more then a coincidence. Have any of you seen him?"

"Oh, I've seen him too." Kai answered. "He doesn't look like a soldier or a jaeger, but he definitely seems like he's in Alster for a reason."

"As of right now, though, we can't know if he's related or not." Rean said. "Still, considering whar we've seen and heard, we can't rule out some sort of conspiracy at play here."

"A… conspiracy?"

"I know it might sound absurd, but I think it' worth exploring what the reasons behind such a plot would be. If someone were in fact controlling the monster, what would be their motive?"

"Well, we have to start by thinking about potential objectives." Elise replied. "The only conclusion, I think, is that there's something that we don't understand yet."

"You're probably right, Elise." Alfin nodded.

"It's true we didn't walk away with anything conclusive at all." Rean nodded. "But there was one person who seemed to know the truth behind what's going on."

"Ah yes. I was thinking the same thing." I nodded.

"S-Someone who knows the truth?" Kai asked

"Who could it be?" Tilia asked

"I think… it could be Mayor Mathim." Rean answered

"Are you saying that the mayor is intentionally intimidating the residents?" Elise asked.

"I believe that Rean is right on the mark." Cedric replied.

"Same here. Don't you all find it strange?" I asked.

"I-I don't know about that… There must be some mistake." Tilia trailed off.

"It's not something I want to believe, either." Alfin said. "But people were saying that the mayor's been pushing to move to Aragon for quite some time now. Even before this monster issue. We can't deny that things seem to be falling in his favor."

"Well, when you put it like that, it does seem oddly convenient." Elise replied.

"It's a terrible thing to consider, but it does make some sense." Kai nodded. "You know what I mean, right, Tilia? One day, he just suddenly acting so strangely."

"B-But he's the mayor…" Tilia sadden. "He's always been such a nice person… When we lost Mom and Dad, he really looked out for us. It's just so hard to imagine."

"Tilia…" Alfin sadden.

Poor kid. I don't blame her. It's that damn bastard's curse that change the mayor. Plus, I know that the mayor is the only possibility. Hmm…

Then Rean's Arcus called and then he answered it.

"Oh, aren't you… Machias's coworker?" Rean asked.

"Haha, please excuse the sudden interruption. Word around the block is that you're in Alster dealing with a certain incident." He said. "This is a rather awkward request to make, but I was actually wondering if you could leave this issue be for me?"

"Huh? Why?" I asked.

"Is there something going on in Alster?" Elise asked. "Something that warrants the Government Accountability Inspectorate taking action?"

"Well, I'll just have to leave that up to your imagination." Reiner replied

"It looks like you have your reasons, Reiner." Rean said. "But the residents are terrified. They're already preparing to evacuate by the end of the day. We can't turn a blind eye to this."

"Wh-What?! Things have already reached that point!? E-Everything is moving way too fast!" Then he sighed. "All right, then. Machias has told me a lot about you guys. I've thought this for a while now, but you're probably people worth trusting. I'll share you what we've gathered. Makes sure use it well!"

And then he begin to share us some interesting information. It seems there is some conspiracy.

"It seems I was right on the mark." I muttered

"Reiner did put some potential operations together, but they're not going to make it in time, just like we thought. If anyone's going to do something, it'll have to be us." Rean answered.

"Right. And personally. I don't think this is entirely unrelated to those of us from Thors." I nodded.

"Um, Tillia and I wanna help, too!" Kai requested.

"I think we can convince the people who lie here to go along with our plan." Tilia nodded

"I couldn't imagine anyone better suited for that." Rean smiled. "Things could get a little rough out there. Princess Alfin, Elise, your safety is the highest priori-"

"I don't know what's going through your mind, but if it results in anything but us coming along, then you can forget it." Alfin pouted

"Yes, that's right. We're helping and that's that." Elise nodded. "You wouldn't let us come this far, only to tell us to stay out of it, would you?"

"Oh Rean. It should be obvious they won't step down no matter what you say." I chuckled.

"Yep. It seems both of our sisters are stubborn." Cedric chuckled.

"With all of us along for the ride, this'll be a walk in the park." Crow added

"Just be as careful as possible, and stay with the group, no matter what." Rean requested.

"Yep, yep, you got it!" Alfin nodded.

"We understand." Alfin nodded.

"Let's make sure we're already before we head out." Rean said. "It's time everyone!"

"Got it!" We nodded.

As we begin to complete. I begin to set up hidden barriers and spheres all over the village in secret so the Mayor doesn't get any bright ideas. Honestly. The nerve. Once everything is in order. We begin to use and I use my concealment spell on everyone and we can witness it. Once we are hidden. And the townspeople leave. We heard the mayor sigh of relief and then finally got the people out of town. And then Wads appeared. And now with my ARCUS begin to record their conversation. Which is just as we thought.

"I had a hunch this was what was happening." Rean said and then I undo my invisibility and stealth spell.

"Wh-What are you still doing here?!" Mayor Mathim exclaimed.

"Well, Well. I do believe I've seen your face before. You were in the same class as Hugo, if I'm not mistaken." Wads said. "You just keep poppinb up where you're not welcome. You really like sticking your neck out."

"Not as much with you, you trash of a man." I remark with a glare. "As for you, Mayor Mathim. I'm very disappointed in you."

"Klist& Co.'s Sale manager Wads and Mayor Mathim. Are you aware that this plan of yours is Illegal?" Rean asked.

"I can't believe that you used monsters for your own purposes and drove away the residents." Elise respond madly. "This is fraud and intimidation on a wide scale. You've essentially hijacked a town."

"How dare you use the town where Prince Olivert who called this place home for your illegal plan. Do you have any idea how much outrageous I am!?" Cedric growled.

"We can't let this kindly of cruelty slide. But there's still time. Please stop this!" Alfin requested.

"What does it matter to outsiders like you, hm?" Mayor Mathim asked. "We're only thinking of the country and Alster! How dare you be so imprudent!"

"It is YOU who is imprudent!" I growled.

"What?!"

"You claimed to be thinking of the country and Alster but you and that disgraceful of a man force and illegally out of their homes. What kind of mayor are you?! You have betrayed the home Prince Olivert has grown up here and the people of this very village! You have broken the trust of the people who call this place their own against their will. And to make it worst. Turn it into a factory by illegal means. If you truly love this town. You should have protected it, instead of sold it to the man who cares nothing but himself."

"How dare you! I do love this very town! And I didn't betray anyone! Wads, get these people out of my town!"

"Cleaning this riffraff up shouldn't be a problem. After all, I've already arranged to sweep away the town. What are a few extra of trash?" Wad said.

"Wh-What?"

Wad then press the button and unleashed Military Monsters and Archaisms. As expected. Lucky. I had set up a trap to counter this. In addition. I made it seem that the Archaism is being attacked and destroyed with an illusion using my magic while the Military monster and Archaisms are being destroyed.

"Reiner saw the signs that Kleist has been doing some shady deals with Ouroboros." Rean muttered as he acted.

"But they're not just using Archaisms, too, and there are so many of them!" Elise exclaimed as she acted.

"What is all this about!?" Mayor Mathim exclaimed. "Wad! What are these machines doing here?! They're going to destroy the town! Stop them!"

"What are you talking about? This is what we agreed." Wads smirked. "This is a necessary measure we must take in order to build the factory."

"Wait! The factory was suppose to be built on the outskirts of town!"

"I had the area surveyed, and the mountains were going to make development difficult. The locality of the the town was perfect, however. It is the most efficient site. This is for the nation. Surely you won't objecting now of all times?"

"No… but this is… You've tricked me! I would have never agreed to this!"

"Haha! Well, have a nice day, everyone. Things are going to get a little messy here for a while, so I think I'll take my leave."

"Sorry. But that won't be happening." Rean said. "Levi."

"Yep." I nodded as I smirked and then I snap my finger and then undo the illusion which shocked both Wad and Mathim. Seeing the Military Monsters are dead and the Archaisms are destroyed.

"What?!" Wad exclaimed.

"Th- The town!" Mayor Mathim sigh of relief.

"Levi knew something like this would happen. So he performs a special trick while he set up traps against any hostile." Rean said.

"The Archaism you brought and Military Monsters are destroyed." I smirked. "Wad. You have commit many crimes as it is. Surrender if you know what's good for you."

"We know this isn't your first offense, but it'll be the last time you try to scam someone like this. The inspectorate should have already contacted you. You will be brought in for questioning about your recent dealings with the government."

"Rrhg. Meddling kids… How dare you with your damn trick! Why don't you all just stop wasting my time?!" Wads growled. "I know I've had my setbacks, but this plan is foolproof! I've won over the mayor, avoided the main office, laid the groundwork with the government, and even called in favors from the IDF. Do you have any idea how long I've waited for all this to come together? And now to have it ruined by the IDF most wanted man! The Alster Distribution Center is supposed to dominate the whole northwestern region! But I can still pull this off. And when it doe, it'll be the biggest score of my entire career life! The profits I bring in could finally even surpass Hugo Kleist's!"

"You really are the most prudent man." I sighed. " If you had gone through it differently, that passion could've to lead to something great."

"You've been with Kleist & Co. A long time… Ever since it was first founded, right?" Rean asked. "Were you hoping Hugo would hand over the Kleist Mall in Ordis to you?"

"Don't you dare try to stop me!" Wad respond. "It's all about to come together… Just a little more… It'll be perfect- perfect I tell you." Then he suddenly pulled an Orbal Gun and took the Mayor Hostage.

"You coward!" I growled.

"Now, now, everyone. Better mind your manners, Just keep quiet and cooperate, and this will all go smoothly."

"Let him go! Now!" Rean growled.

"Hahaha! Now let me be clear- I'm not going to budge even one rege away from my plan. All I need is a little more time- and the proper equipment- and I'll be ablle to level Alster to the ground! Not to mention, I still hav one last ace my sleeve."

Then suddenly Archisms appeared. But my traps are still active and then my sphere orbs launched a beam attack and then destroyed the Archism. That caught Wad off guard and then I swatted the gun off of his had and kick him in his chest and send him rolling on the ground, freeing the Mayor and then the others begin to surround and restain him.

"The tables have turned." Cedric said. "Although Levi did most of the work."

"Oh don't worry about that. As long as we restrain this scum. I don't mind doing all the work." I wink.

"Ugh! Dammit!" Wad growled as he got up. "Where is this going to end?!" Then the curse emerge from him. "Are you going to make an emey of Kleist & Co? Of the Government?!"

"You still haven't given up yet?" Rean sighed.

"He really lost it." Cedric muttered.

"Tough nut to crack, huh?" Crow asked.

"He's too stupid to understand his position." I stated. "That reminds me. Didn't a certain someone inform us that the main office of Kleist & Co. Has denied all responsibility for the things you've done? You've been suspended from duty several times if memory serves me right. And now you're at your last warning."

"That's right. Your unethical fixation on success is in direct opposition to the main office wishes." Rean nodded.

"Don't you think it's rather uncouth of you to invoke Kleist & Co? Considering their feelings towards you?" Cedric added.

"I couldn't' agree more." A familiar voice called out. "You have no right to utter that name, Wads. The same goes for your so-called connections with the government."

"Hey there, everyone. Sorry it took us so long. Findin' Hugo and bringin' him here took a wee bit longer then expended." Becky apologized. "Well, Mister Managing Director? Seems like things here have taken a real spiral. Any plans on how tae handle it?"

"Oh, I'll put an end to this all right. It's my duty, after all." Hugo sighed.

"Wait, what're ye?"

Then Hugo approached Wads.

"Sir, I.. I apologize for how this must look." Wad replied. "These ruffians have thrown a wrench in the works, but it's only a temporary setback, I assure you."

"Wads, let's cut to the chase. What exactly are you doing here? Do you have any idea of the trouble you're in? As if scamming people out of their homes wasn't bad enough, but you took a elderly hostage. I've told you time and time again that I won' accept such unconscionable methods of business yet you continue to disregard my orders."

"Sir, I don't understand. Who cares about the past?! Don't you see what's at stake here? I've found a most efficient way to boost our profit- why should anything else matter? That's what doing business is all about, right? You never make it in this industry if you let yourself worry over matters of petty morality."

"Come on, Wads. It's like speaking to a brink wall with you."

"The Curse has taken root deep inside him." Rean sighed. "It must've honed in on his fixation with profit, and drove him out of control. Or maybe it's more his obsession with surpassing you that's gotten him this far out of line."

"The curse really is despicable…" I sighed.

"Surpassing me?" Hugo eyebrow. "Why should that matter so much?"

"You still don't understand?" Wads muttered. "I've been with Kleist since the very beginning. I've watched it grow from a tiny company into the nationwide juggernaut it is today. Do you have any idea what it's like for me, seeing you take over and call me 'imcompetent'? 'Third-'rate?! If I can rise our profits more than you then perhaps, finally… You'll recognize me for the businessman I truly am!"

So that's the reason why Wads gone this far.

'Hugo always view things so logically, but a situation like this requires an emotional touch.' Rean whisper as he sighed.

'Yeah. Part of it was Hugo's fault but most was the curse to twist his mind to go this far.' I whisper and nodded.

"Wads. You've been a loyal employee of my company for many years." Hugo said. "In just the past month your efforts have raised our profits margin by ten percent. I'll admit the results you've achieved have been impressive. But your criminal activity, rejection of our trading polite, and utter refusal to follow orders are not something I can overlook. Effective immediately, I'm relieving you of your position as sale manager and placing you on indefinite suspension."

"Wh-Wh-What?!" Wad exclaimed and the curse fade from him. "N-No, it can't be… After all I've done…"

"Everyone, I'm truly sorry for the trouble Wads has caused. I will take full responsibility. I should have paid more attention to what was going on in my own company. I promise I'll compensate anyone who was affected by my employee's unlawful activities. Herman."

"Yes, sir!?" Hermen the guy who arrived with him.

"Attend to Wads. It looks like he's taken a few bumps. See to it that he gets some medical treatment. Y-Yes, sir, of course!"

"Well, I must be on my way."

Just before Hugo can leave.

"Hold up, Hugo." Becky called him out. "One more question before ye go. What're ye planning on daein' fae here on out? The Wads problem may be settled but what about the future? Ye know what the government was plannin', but ye still got intae bed wae them. I know that wasn't purely a business decision, but all of this that's happened here, that's where it got ye. Ye claim ye're gonna take responsibility, but what does that mean? Ye steppin' down as managing director?"

"I told you already, didn't I? I'm going to settle things. The fires of war will engulf this continent before too long. I've known that for two years now. That's why I allied myself with the government-to give Kleist is best chance of surviving. But I see that I made the wrong judgement. It's only natural that I should resign."

"Hugo… Geez none of that pish! What do ye think that's gonnae accomplish?"

"What?"

"She's got a point, Hugo. You know we're trying to put an end to the Great Twilight, right?" Rean nodded. "Your government connections makes you a valuable ally to that cause. What do you say? For old time' sake?"

"I don't know…"

"Well if you ask me, the important thing here isn't obligation- it's what you truly want to make happen." I said. "Of course it isn't my business since I'm not even Erebonian since I've learn the truth… but all of us have gotten this far by following our own convictions-by doing things we believe in. Believe what is right. That goes for us. Why should it be different for you?"

"Levi…" Rean smiled.

"Agreed." Alfin smiled. "It sound a pretty good way to sum up why we're all here."

"In the end, the decision is yours to make." Elise nodded. "Try be honest with yourself, and see how things go from there."

"What do I really want…?" Hugo trailed off. "I…"

"For cryin' out loud, ye know what ye want, ye just cannae admit it 'cause of that stubborn pride of yours." Becky sighed. "Ye know there'a way both Thors and Kleist can come out of this still standin' So wrap yer whingin' and snap tae it! If ye go wrong again, I'll be here tae set ye right."

"Becky… Hmph. Me, 'go wrong'? You'd better not expect I'd make any sort of mistake like that twice. And I'll move forward from here my way. I'll ensure the future of the company and Thors without so much as relying on the government."

"Heh, well said. If anyone dae all that, it's you."

And with that. We finally got Hugo back on our side. Seriously. What a long hellish road. And for a short afterword. Since no damage has come to the village. The villagers return home. But unfortunately for the Mayor. He received a lot of hate from the residents. And with that. We left this fine village and return to the Courageous.

Finally! Sorry, everyone! I didn't mean to mislead you or something. I was having some hard time coming up with the bond events. Not to mention there were some scenes that pique my interest. This time, for real we will head to Crossbell. OOOH! Oh yeah! Did you guys notice somehting too on Rean and Levi's Final Bond event? While Rean's bond Level with Levi is no doubt Max. But there were also two hearts with it. You know what that means? It means that Levi is one of Rean's romantic choices!
