(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Reverie Corridor)
After defeating Lechter and Claire, we made our way back to the center and discovered the place has changed.
"This place has changed." Cedric said.
"Yeah. I can sense the Ebbs and flows of pure mana." Venti nodded.
"It must be because we defeated the first Guardian." Celine guessed.
"Right. This must have been a place for recovering in the past." Emma nodded.
"And the last gate has opened." Jusis nodded.
"But I wonder what's on the other gate?" Alisa wondered.
"Guess we'll find out if we explore it." Gaius suggested
"In any case. This looks like the central sector of the Empyreal Fortress." Sara replied. "I think we can safely assume this is the best spot to set up camp."
"Yeah, that make sense!" Juna said
"Should we summoned the Divine Knights and the Panzer Soldats then?" Kurt asked
Rean nodded. "Yeah, that's a good idea."
"Sweet. Let's teleport those Soldats." Crow replied.
And with that. We begin to use the garden as a base now. Rean, Crow and Cedric summoned their Divine Knights and the Panzer Soldats. And with that. We begin to rest for our upcoming battle. That upcoming battle will be with Ouroboros… and Liam. I was looking at the waterfall. I let out a sigh.
"Feeling okay Levi?" Rean ask.
I turn around and nodded. "Yeah. I'm somewhat okay. Honestly. That was some tough judgement I did there."
"I'll say. You look like a judge or something. So that's your job as an Arbiter?"
"Yep. That was my job back as a kid. Even now. Honestly. Those two are morons to the end. But I do hope they will atone for their crimes by restoring Erebonia as you said."
"I know they will." Rean nodded. Then think for a moment. "Them aside… you're also worried about Liam, aren't you?"
I sigh again. "Yeah. Up next… we'll be facing Mariabell, Campanella, Shirley, Tartaglia and… my creator. I'm sure Venti might feel conflicted as I am when we're going against our creator. Back then I don't… but… what concerns me is that… since he created me and Venti… he will control us."
"Levi…"
"Plus there are also the parts of what I need to be concerned about. About why he sent those requests as Anonymous, he seems to know a lot if the events that will happen. And one of them is Prince Cedric's fate. He help us with the Rivalry, and while he's against us. He also was helping us in the shadows. That is what bother me…"
Rean hummed "We will find out when we face him. And don't worry. If he does control you. I will break you free from his control."
"Rean…"
"That I swear and promise. He may have created you. But you are your own person. Along with Venti."
"Yeah… thanks for the cheering up Rean." I smiled
"You don't have to thank me for that. It's natural. You are my boyfriend and I love you so much."
"Hehe. I love you so much too. I really want to kiss you for that. But maybe AFTER we're done… and… that part." I smiled as I couldn't help but blush. Even when I want to make love with him again.
"That part? Ah. Yeah." Rean smiled as he blushed.

After the break. We begin to check on the second gate and made our way to the light. Once we were there. There was no one in sight.
"Nobodies here." Elliot replied.
"Perhaps this was meant for another guardian. However, there isn't one." Venti replied.
I then sense something from the large area.
"But I do sense something." I informed everyone. "Let's check it out."
And then we begin to check it out and there was a Black Zemerian Ore.
"Zemerian Ore? This is what I sense." I said.
"Hmm. We can make use of it. Let's head back." Rean said.
We pick up the Black Zemerian Ore and then head over to the next gate. We went over to the last unlocked gateway and there was an elevator that took us upwards to the third hall area. We had to contend with more powerful monsters, but they weren't much of an issue. We then reached a middle area where the next door was blocked by a magic barrier with the symbol of Ouroboros. Behind the barrier are five drawings. One is a Mishy, the other is a Fool, a star winking, a fox with a mischief smirk on its face, and the last is a wild female ogre saying: Welcome. Ouroboros, huh? Liam did mention he will be with Ouroboros, perhaps I can get another answer from Ouroboros if we beat them.
"So we have the Crest of Ouroboros, a picture of a clown… or rather the Fool. A Mishy, a star, a fox, and an Ogre saying: Welcome." I said. "Although the picture is projected with magic, they're not taking this seriously."
"Somehow, this reminds me of something we saw at the Infernal Castle Two years ago." Rean replied.
"Xeno and Leo drew something like that there just for fun." Fie smiled.
I couldn't help but smile and laugh a bit. "True. I thought there was some deja vu."
"Ah, yes. I remember. Seems like forever ago." Machias replied
"Huh, so they liked clowning around?" Crow asked
"Yeah, but this is a little different…" Elliot replied.
Gaius nodded. "How to put it… you can tell that whoever drew this has malicious intentions."
Then suddenly the pictures change into full color and suddenly burst out of the drawing were monsters. Ghost monsters.
"What the heck!" Juna exclaimed.
The ghost monsters let out a loud ghost wailing. And then they burst into laughter. One was a gold one, the other was a purple ghost, the other were two green ghost, and the other two were blue ghost.
We got our weapons out as they laugh. Then they pulled out weapon bill boards saying: Welcome! Then they swirl at the door.
"What the hell?" Asha sked
"They're... not hostile?" Gaius added
"Ugh! First, they pop out of nowhere and now they mock us!?" Juna growled.
"But what are they doing?" Kurt asked
"Ahh. I see." Venti said. "They're acting as Gatekeepers for our next battles. Once we enter that door. They'll open the path for us. Something tells me this is Liam's work."
"I swear that guy..." Crow sighed
Juna was thinking for a moment. Then she step up and face us.
"Instructor, could I be on the team for the next battle?" Juna suggested.
"Juna...are you sure?" Altina asked.
"It's not an unreasonable request." Musse said. "She's familiar with the opponents we'll be facing."
Juna nodded. "The Fool really got on my nerves, ever since what happened at Orchis Tower. But it's Mariabell that I HAVE to settle the score with. Not just for personal reasons, either. I'm representing the SSS, too. Their feelings towards Crossbell and determination to turn things around for the land she betrayed."
"I thought you might feel that way." Kurt said.
"You make a valid point there." I agreed. "I'm sure you'll come out on top."
"Actually. I want to join in as well." Venti said as he step up and stand next to Juna.
"You too Venti?" Cedric asked
"Yes. But this one is personal. This has to do with my… creator."
That's right… on the other side of the door is no doubt Shirley, Mariabell, Tartaglia, Campanella, and him. Liam. I then stand with Juna and Venti.
"I also want to be a part of the battle." I said. "I have many questions for Liam. After thinking over all of my abilities we travel. I know that my purpose was to help kill Ishmelga. Including my role to be in Class VII. And Venti's role in the new Class VII. But above all that. He knows everything that was about to happen. Those requests, with Cedric… even helping us from the shadows. There is a lot I… no… we need to know. But I also want to know what will happen if our purpose was completed."
"Levi…" Jusis trailed off.
"Yeah… you're right. His motive are unclear. As you said, he also knows about the events that happen in the past, during the civil war, and right now with the Great Twilight. And it has something to do with not just Prince Cedric's, but mine and Levi's. Our fates." Rean nodded. "He is responsible for intertwining my fate with Levi."
"Yeah. He knew I'm going to be the Azure Chevalier and even know I was going to be an Immortal." Crow nodded.
"In addition, he also foresaw the Civil War with the Noble Alliance before any of us." Jusis nodded.
"Plus he also said I was his favorite character."
We sweatdrop.
"But what does he mean by character too? And how exactly did he create Venti and Levi? Don't tell me he's some sort of God." Crow asked
"That's another question." Venti sighed.
"Yeah… the part that Liam knew that Class VII was going to be created, as well as the branch campus, and our lives... almost like he foresaw it or something. He's been guiding us like an invisible hand." Machias replied.
"Invisible hand…" Rean trailed off as he recalled what Beryl said.
"Yeah." I nodded "While talking about him… let's also talk about Mariabell as well."
"Right. Elie and the other SSS members would be happy to hear that you're so determined to take on their enemy." Alisa said.
"Okay, Juna, you're in." Rean accepted. "But Mariabell is still an Anguis, and she'll be accompanied by three Enforcers whose true motives are still unclear. Not to mention Liam is among them. I get that this hits close to home for you, but you have to be extra careful. Don't put yourself at risk."
Juna nodded. "Right!"
"Let's not forget our battles with Liam." I stated. "He's extremely powerful just like Osborne and the Steel Maiden… however… something tells me that he's even more powerful than either of them."
"More powerful than them?" Machias gulped.
"Yeah. I got that feeling as well." Rean nodded. "And if that is true… then he will be our most difficult battle."
"Worst of all. He's with Ouroboros. The battle with them will be more tricky and annoying. Let's hope we can prevail against Liam." I stated
We went up to the door and the ghost put away their billboards and hold touches. The touches light up magically as they turn to the barrier. The barrier faded as the doors opened. The fire from the touches vanished. Inside, it was pitch black. The Ghosts went first. The Gold and Purple ghost face each other. Next was the Green ghosts. And last was the blue ghost. Like they show us the pathway. As we went through the door. The first pair of ghosts we passed by bow and their tough light up, revealing the hallway. We walk pass the other pair of ghost as they bow. Then their torches light up and reveal half of the room. And when we walk passed the final pair of ghost. They bow and their touches light up, revealing the entire room. To the end, we can see the three Enforcers, the annoying Anguis and Liam looking at us. The order were Shirley to left of Mariabell. Next was Liam who is the center. Campanella to his right. And Tartaglia to Campanella's right.
"Heeeeeeeeeey! Look who's finally here." Shirley said.
"So you've arrived after all! Color me impressed." Mariabell said.

"I guess the Icy Maiden and the Scarecrow just couldn't measure up. Given that they had the fortress' power, they should have had at least a 60 percent chance of winning. Then again, you have the Silver Angel's power to cancel it out. Oh well." Campanella added. "Though I have to say. Here I thought you were going to kill them, Angel Boy. Weren't you the one who's going to judge them?"
"How I judge them is NONE of your concern, imp. Unlike you four. I'm giving Claire and Lechter a chance to redeem themselves. While you four, is the death sentence."
"Hehe. My, you're quite awfully motivated with that, huh?"
"Though I can't say I'm surprised. Considering our actions were outrageous to the rest of the world." Tartaglia shrug.
"Yeah. So don't even try to escape. But as much as I like to be ruthless to you four. I have business with him." I said as I turn to Liam.
"Oh?"
"I take it you mean me?" Liam asked
"Yes. There is a lot of questions we want to ask you." Rean nodded. "But for now. Levi and Venti will be the ones asking. While our questions will be next."
"Yeah. Liam. All this time. I wanted to know about my past. Who are my birth parents... And do I have any siblings or relatives… how I got these powers… but I know now. You were the one… who created me and Venti… right?" I ask.

Then we all see Liam's reaction. He was shocked.
"Created?" Mariabell ask as she look surprised and interested.
"That's an interesting topic. Though I admit, that was not what I expected for a question to hear." Campanella replied.
"How did you know?" Liam asked as he close his eyes and think for a moment. "There's no way Makarov and your guardian had told you. Nor your familiars, Luka and Hamsuke. I gave them orders not to… And it can't be Lianne as well…"
"Even the Steel Maiden?" Rean asked
"So she was aware of Levi and Venti's existence?" Laura also asked.
"Lianne's the only one I trust with that secret. After all, she and I share the same goal." Then Liam realize. "Ohh… now I see… you found out by the Spectral Moon Mirror from the Luna sanctuary, didn't you?"
"Yes… we did." I answered.
Liam sighed. "I wasn't expecting the Spectral Moon Mirror would also reveal that… then again… I suppose it will be brought up eventually. And because the part where I made your fate intertwine with Rean." Then his eyes gleam to Campanella. "Honestly… I was hoping I wouldn't talk about it with these four here. But it can't be help." Then he gleam to us. "Yes. That is correct. I am the one who created you. Levi, Venti. You two are my Avatars."
While it was speechless for a moment.
"Liam… In Levi's life. You created him in the age set of seven. While me. In the age set of 15 later on. So why have you created both me and Levi in different years?" Venti asked.
Liam sighed. "Why you ask? It's because I wanted to live in this world."
And that surprises us.

I was originally planning on letting you live as an ordinary boy… however… but I also wanted to feel like to be in Class VII. But I also think about many things. For example, becoming an Enforcer for Ouroboros. Who knows. I might create another Avatar that might fulfill that. But anyway, after thinking long and hard. There are also certain parts that I am also worried about. And in order to prevent that. I created you to repel the Ebon's Knight curse. I created you to have a strong will… but I don't want you to be apart of this world's chains. Plus there is magic in this world. And then it hit me. I now know what to do. I created you to have a wonderful school life and be Class VII in my place. But also have a deep secret that is similar to Rean. But unlike him. He is the Ultimate Sacrifice. But I also look into Rean's fate. I can't say it. It would be a spoiler. But I know doubt it makes me sad. So in order to prevent that… I created you to have the ability to manipulate light, repel evil and be immune to any possession and brainwash because of that power. And since this world has large amount of mana and the whole Septium Veins thing. I decided you should use magic along with your friend Emma. But magic different from Erebonia. Something foreign. So I added that you can use many varieties of magic. But if I had let you live in an ordinary life with those powers born into you. There is no doubt you will receive attention from Ouroboros. But also some evil people who would use you and abuse your power and magic as a weapon of destruction. You would have been marked as dangerous and must be killed or experimented. That's why I had you live a sheltered life. And created Makarov to help you learn this world's language, education, even the lost knowledge of Erebonia. Taught you magic that is foreign in this world. And to help you grow strong to be Mcburn and Lianne's equal. Since you were going to be in Class VII. And to prevent that cruel fate that Rean was placed on. I made sure your fate and his are intertwined. That you are the bane of evil… who can protect him from that fate. So I created your ability to be connected to the Divine Knights. Allow you to merge with them and share your power with theirs and prevent possession."
The entire room was silent… this information is shocking.
"You created Levi… to protect me?" Rean ask in shocked.
"That's…" Alisa trailed off.
"So you created me… to protect… no… to alter his fate." I ask in shocked.
Liam nodded "Yes. As I said earlier. I know what his fate was the moment he won the Rivalry against Osborne. I grew fond of Rean. Just like I am with the rest of you. Even Campanella."
"So… is that why you help us from the shadows? Those requests as Anonymous… and back in the civil war…" Gaius asked
"So you found out who is 'Anonymous.' Yes. It was all part where you will reach the true ending."
"The true ending… you mean the story that Vita was trying to accomplish?" Celine asked
"I won't deny she is trying to keep the Great Twilight in check. However. Our two objectives are different. Although I don't know if she knew that you were the Ultimate Sacrifice, Rean. But after the event of the Infernal Castle, I begin to help her as she follow her roles. Preventing Grianos death is part of it."
"Griados?" Emma eye widen.
"Originally. Grianos has been killed by Rufus Alberea while trying to protect Vita. Preventing Grianos's death doesn't change the story. That includes the events that Celdric where the manager, Otto was killed because of Helmut Albarea." Liam answered as he close his eyes and look mad. "I kill Helmut because not only do I hate him so much for being a disgraceful noble, but also his role is done. That includes Croire de Cayenne. The nobles of Erebonia are all disgraceful. Which is why I was also given permission to kill them. Since they don't have any roles."
"So… that means… that's why you also created me… to kill them and punish them…" I said. "So that's where the role 'Arbiter' comes from."
"Yes. That part was my own interest."
"But who was the one who gave you permission to kill them?"
"Sorry. That information is classified."

While yours in wind."
Once again a moment of silent.
"So all this time… you were helping us. To alter my fate… I think I understand what will happen after I won the Rivalry against the Chancellor." Rean said.
"Yeah… same here." I nodded
"If you both come to see what I know and see… then it's clear to me, you know how I felt. Are there any more questions?" Liam asked
"Actually. I do have one." Laura said. "I feel like I've seen you before back when I was a child. I believe I was six years old back. The year was 1192. You resemble that young man who was 14 if I remember right."
"Come to think of it." Kurt said. "I think I remember you as well. I was five years old back then. You resemble that curious young man, he was 14 years old. But if Laura said she remember you in 1192… but in my time which was 1195. That means you were 14 years old in both 1192 and 1195."
"Wait… that doesn't make any sense…" Juna replied. "How can he be 14 years old which in both years you and Laura remember him…" Then Juna look at Liam. "Wait… is he the same person from what you two remember?"
And then Liam let out a small laugh. "I'm actually surprised you two remember me back then."
"What?" Laura asked in surprise.
"You mean-" Kurt respond in surprise.
"Yes. That 14-year-old boy you meet in the Vander school and Arseid school are the same person." Liam replied with a smile.
"But… if you were 14 years old when Laura remember you… that would have made you 17 years old when Kurt remember you…" Elliot said. "But it doesn't make sense in you were 14 in both times… And if you were 14… by counting this year we're in… that means you would be 28 years old wouldn't it?"
"Judging from your age. You look like someone of our age. A high schooler age." Musse replied.
"And yet, you're not." Crow replied.
"Wait… how old are you?" Elliot asked.
Liam laughed. "I must admit. I am surprised of your logic and Laura and Kurt remember me when they were so young. But I suppose this was bound at some point if they remember me. True, I would be 28 years old. However, the reason why I still look like I'm 18 years old is because that is my real age."
"Say what?!" Alisa exclaimed.
"You're 18?! But I'm two years older than you!" I exclaimed but notice something. "Wait… no, not just that. You appeared to be the same age when you created me, right?"
"Yep. And the same age when I created Venti. I don't hail from this world. And given my special position, I can change my age and form at will." Liam wink.
"Special position?" Emma asked
"Any more questions now?" Liam sounded bored.
"Yeah. What do you mean by 'Special position'? How exactly do you know about us? All of this? Who exactly are you?" Rean asked
Liam close his eyes for a moment and then. "That is something I will not answer." Liam look at us with a glare that sends chills down our spines.

"If you want to know. You must earn it. But we should get back on topic, don't you think Mariabell?"

"Oh, right. Certainly. With this much information. I merely lost track." Mariabell nodded.
"Wow. Talk about much information in one day." Shirley replied.
"Well, we are curious about him too. Guess we owe Class VII for that." Tartaglia shrug.
"Well, moving on as Lord Liam suggested. How'd you care for our artistic embellishments?" Mariabell asked. "We figured this place could use some touching up. By the way, did you get spooked by those adorable ghosts? And how did you like the entrance? That certainly gives some pizzazz. You can thank Lord Liam for adding a touch of a dramatic entrance."
"I had to admit, I love it~" Campanella cooed. "I certainly the way those ghost bow as they brought out part of the stage to light. Maybe you can teach me that, Liam."
"Hehe. Of course." Liam wink.
"Is this all just a game to you?" Emma responded.
"You five really are the worst..." Machias added.
"Hahaha, what a time to be alive, right?" Shirley asked. "There's so much action going on down on the surface. I'm sure Daddy and the others are really tearing it up! Thinking about this whole war though, it kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth."
"I don't blame you. Espcually since this is a bunch of setups." Tartaglia nodded as he cross his arm.
"I see Mcburn's not with you." Rean said. "Like Levi, I can sense him. He's waiting for us somewhere in this fortress."
"My, how perceptive! Those senses of yours are impressively sharp." Mariabell remarked. "Perhaps it's something you picked up from being the Sacrifice."
"It seems like McBurn has his own things he wants to take care of. Such as going one on one with you, Sullivan." Campanella said. "But I've gotta say, he's been real fired up since the rest of you fought him at Orchis Tower. We promise not to play too rough. If you're curious, why don't you go check up on him yourselves after we're done here? Well, assuming you manage to make it past the Jade Rook, too, of course."
"That's exactly what we plan to do." I replied. "Though I'm kinda disappointed in you five that you're not taking this seriously. Are you still looking down on us after all we've been through?"
"Are they simply here to just fuel up the Rivalry?" Gaius guessed.
"That's right." Mariabell answered. "The more I understand how the Rivalries work, the more intrigued I am. They're very well-designed. They're actually the perfect reference for my Ars Magna research. So please don't hold back. I'll need every little bit of data I can get from you."
"You really are the worst..." Alisa said.
"You may be an Anguis, just like the Steel Maiden was, but you're nothing like her." Laura added.
"Ehehe. Wow, looks like you really offended them, Lady Bell." Shirley giggled.
"Oh my, I'm terribly sorry if I offended you." Mariabell replied, sarcastically. "I considered dropping in to bid her farewell before Lord Liam save her, but since we weren't especially close, I decided it wasn't my place. To be honest, though, I'm a little surprised McBurn didn't stop by."
"Yeah. I was planning to go say my goodbyes to her as well. But I chose to be here like Shari. The Steel Maiden was a great mentor, and on a personal note. A friend. A personal friend. A warrior of heart. I will no doubt miss her when she's gone. As for Mcburn, I did find it off for him for not saying goodbye. Considering how much those two get along." Tartaglia replied.
"Who knows? Maybe he already said his goodbyes." Campanella said. "I'm sure he must have heard how Liam save the Steel Maiden. However, it's only a matter of time until she's fully gone. Even if it pains me to say that."
"Yep. Originally. Rufus would had kill her and steal the Argent Knight's power after you were planning on convincing her to fight alongside you."Liam nodded as he place his arms over his neck. "But I prevented that because I was disgusted by his actions. But altering that doesn't chance Lianne's fate. She still dies when the Great Twilight is over. Letting her become your ally doesn't change things."
"And with that happen, I'm sure our other members outside of Erebonia would have liked to pay their respects, too. Oh, well. That's just how things go sometimes."
"Or maybe, it's because he's waiting for me." I responded.
"And honestly. That part I wasn't expecting." Liam sighed. "I know Mcburn is just a fight lover on strong opponents. But for you and him to go all out while you both have a "clash of light and dark" is something out of the ordinary. But it doesn't chance things. But I am rather curious if you had what it takes to defeat his true form."
"So you're aware of Mcburn's form?" Crow asked
"Yep. I know about him. As well as a certain someone."
"You mean me, don't you?" Campanella asked
"Hehe. Of course. I did say I am very fond of you."
"Yes. I won't forget the harassment back then too."

"I've got a question for you guys." Juna said. "It might be a little late to be asking this, but what happened to 'taking back' your Phantasmal Blaze Plan?"
"Oh?" Tartaglia hummed
"Ooh..." Mariabell hummed
"Hm? And why would you possibly be interested in that, little SSS fangirl?" Campanella remarked.
"It's because the SSS got wrapped up in it that I want to know. And now that we're on the topic, there are a bunch of things I just don't get about you. You go around, pressing people's buttons and making evil grins, but I don't get the feeling you're as much of a jerk as you let on. And on top of that, people say you've looked exactly the same for the past decade. What even are you?"
"Oh..."
"I'm curious about that as well." I said. "You look human, yet you don't appear to be an immortal either. Not only that, you can use magic. In fact… didn't' you say something strange back at the Pantegruel? 'Oh, right right. My bad, how can I forget?' That certainly is strange for you to say."
"And you, Mariabell. Let's forget the fact that you're a scummy traitor for a moment." Juna continued. "Why the heck did someone as self-absorbed as you, swear allegiance to the Grandmaster?"
"I wondered that about Vita, too." Celine said.
"And even the Steel Maiden." Emma added. "She's a proud knight. Why would she serve such a group?"
"There's also a question about you, Tartaglia. How is it possible for someone like you to manipulate water?" Juna pointed out "You can mold water into any form, and it isn't magic either. How could you possess such a strange ability?"
"Hehe." Tartaglia let out a smirk.

"Not just them, either. Joshua, Renne, Bleublanc, the late Bladelord, and one other I've heard about." Rean added. "If you add Vita, too, then that's a lot of your group that's gone AWOL."
"Yet, here you are, acting like it's no big deal. This shit don't add up." Ash comment. "Your whole group doesn't act like a team at all. It's like… gah, how do I put it?"

"Anyone who cared to put together all those pieces should have been able to realize what was truly going on. But it certainly is surprising that it was you of all people who figured it out. "No… to be honest, I'm just as surprised." Rean replied.
"It actually makes perfect sense. She has the perspective of both Crossbell and the Empire and the will to never give up." Alisa comment

Just like we're going to stop you now!"
"Wow, not bad." Fie praised.

"You really have grown into a remarkable woman. Lloyd and the others would be so proud of you." I smiled.
Then we all got our weapons out.
"Oh lala~ That's some spirit you got there!" Shirley smirked. "It motivate me to have that taste."
"Ohohohohoho! That was simply splendid." Mariabell replied. "Juna Crawford… I must admit, I didn't expect such a fine diamond in the rough from the city I left behind."
"Of course, it was Thors' Class VII that cut and polished her." Campanella said.
"Haha! You bet. I heard how anyone in Thors will become the next 'foundation of the world'. And judging how this little nobody fangirl who wanted to be some policewoman, turn out to become more than meets the eye, in such a short time." Tartaglia smirked "You were nothing more as I said, a nobody, back then. Yet you prove to us that you became more of an up-and-coming warrior who finally grow a pair of fangs and claws enough to leave a mark. Guessing how much you kids improved. I can say it's living up to its model."
"And as for you Liam. We thank you for helping us from the shadows. And we do understand your reasons as well. However, there are still questions we want answers. So get ready to spill it!" Juna stated

Liam blink twice. "Wow. I feel… How do I put this… This is literally the first time someone was so boldly to say that to me. And this is my first time being a villain. And it got me excited."

"Considering how boldly Juna had the gut to say that to me. And considering my strength and experience. And how strong everyone has become. I think we should settle this elsewhere. Don't worry. I'll make sure it will fuse the Rivalry."
Then Liam suddenly taps his boot edge to the floor twice. Suddenly the entire room was distorted, and then a white flash engulf the room. We open our eyes once the flash fade. We were all surprised by what happen next. We were located on a giant platform in space. Behind Liam and Ouroboros was the planet and the sun. While the rest are… well… space with stars.
"What the hell!?" Juna exclaimed.
"This is…!" Emma exclaimed. "I sense he used some otherworldly power that transported us here! Is this a Plane?"
"It looks like it but no. This feeling… It is beyond spiritual. It can't be! It's celestial power!" Celine exclaimed
"What?!" Rean exclaimed
"Indeed. How to like this place?" Liam said as everyone turn to him. "I used my powers and created this domain. Lovely isn't it? Now then Juna, you think you can force me to talk? Why don't you show me that you can. I'm going to enjoy this dance. As for you, Rean, Levi, Venti. Do you have the strength to make it to Ishmelga?"

Liam close his eyes and unleash his aura which is a purple and blue mix. Then his aura begin to burst we felt such overwhelming strength. Even Shirley, Tartaglia, Mariabell, and Campanella aren't able to withstand such an overwhelming presence, pushing us back. It rises like a pillar.
"Ugh!" I struggle to withstand Liam's aura.
"What incredible aura!" Laura added.
"This is-" Rean exclaimed
Then Liam's hand went into the small portal from his chest and pulled that otherworldly sword and then swing it and cause a small shock wave of his strength with booming force. Liam's aura faded after that swing and place his sword over his neck.
"Mariabell, Campanella, Tartaglia, Shirley. I know you are curious what just happen." Then Liam open his eyes and his eyes was glowing blue. "But I'll answer them after we decided to play with them."
"What the hell?!" Crow exclaimed from Liam's glowing blue eyes.
"His eyes just turn-!" Machias exclaimed
"Ohohohoho! Oh my, Liam! You truly are something! I might be in love. Still. You are right though." Mariabell cooed.
Mariabell summoned her wand and a trio of lifeless dolls appeared as and Shirley with her weapon. Tartaglia brought forth water and materialize it into a bow. Campanella ready his fight.
"Oh dear. It seems the monsters I brought up as backup aren't able to be brought here. It might take me some time to summon them to this domain." Campanella sighed.
"Don't worry. I can do that for you." Liam smirked
Liam snap his finger and summoned that Lynel Monster and Guardian. But the Lynel was golden. Something tells me this one will look even more dangerous to fight.
"Now that's one amazing Archaisms." Campanella praised as he see the Guardian.
"Dammit, of course they've got backup!" Crow muttered
"Brace yourselves, everyone! We're gonna have to give this everything we've got!" Sara stated
"Oh and Campanella. Those Dis orders you copy from the Ironbloods won't work here." Liam eye return to brown and called out to him as Campanella turn to Liam. "Since I like you so much." Then Liam let go of his sword and it floated there and then two of his finger pointed at Campanella but an orb appeared from his fingertips. "Here are some spells I crafted for this battle, just for you."
Then the orb shoot from Liam's fingertip and then went inside Campanella as he was glowing and then his left-hand placed on his forehead.
"Whoa… these spells… I've never seen them before… they're being transferred into my head. Yes… yes… this will do just nicely." Campanella smirked and return to his battle position as Liam went back with his. "Let's begin, shall we? We were only planning to have a little fun with you… but seeing as you won't stop going on about 'togetherness' and 'bonds' maybe it'd be fun to see what happens if I thin your ranks a little."
"Say, if we win, I'll let you four live." I said. "But in exchange, I would like you to send the Grandmaster a message."
"Fine, and as a little bonus, I'll share something that only the Grandmaster has permitted me." Mariabell replied. "Now watch as I make sure your friends fight, struggle and cry out in pain!"
"Ehehehe! Hell yeah! That's what I'm talkin' about!" Shirley got her chainsaw ready. "Hope you're all ready, because this will be a battle neither of us will forget!"
"Hahaha! Now you're talking! Prepare for the battle of the lifetime!" Tartaglia grinned as his bloodlust awaken.
"Are all of Ouroboros people actually insane?!" Machias exclaimed
"And who exactly sane in this world?" Venti sweatdrop with his flat face.
"You want a fight?! I'll give you a fight!" Juna replied
"As for you Liam… you may be our creator. But we will give it everything we got and make you answer our questions!" I declared.
"Class VII, Your Highness, prepare for battle! Don't be fooled by their tricks!" Jusis stated
"Fight them with everything you have! With the power of all our friends and allies!" Rean command.
"Right!" Class VII and Cedric said.
But before we were going to charge in. We see Ouroboros had combat link with Liam as like the main boss or something.
"Come at me, Rean, Levi, Venti. Show me you have what it takes!" Liam quoted
"Welcome one and all, enjoy this carnival of pleasure and pain!" Mariabell quoted
"Don't hold back now. Because I'm really fired up for our dance of carnage and chaos!" Tartaglia quoted
"Ehehe, guess I better go all out too!" Shirley quoted
"The harder you try, the more fun it will be!" Campanella quoted
"Now, crush them!" Liam let a commanding wave and buff Ouroboros and then-
"Hehe, try this, Dark Wind!" Campanella then cast a spell and then a dark cloud appeared from the center and then spread and an illusion of a raining storm appeared.
But just as we were going to strike. Suddenly both Mariabell, Tartaglia and Shirley was the first to attack before we can attack. We were able to black and withstand them. But Shirley landed some critical hits and then it was follow up by Mariabell. Tartaglia launched a wide watery slash onto us as his Bow change form into a duel saber. Which was followed up by Liam. But now Liam then raise his hand high and a portal appeared and launched a barricade of swords at us and cause us to unbalance.
"How trite." Liam quote. "Hey Campanella, back me up!"
"Of course!" And then he and Liam both charge and landed some magical and physical strikes onto us and then push us back.
"Urk! How are they moving so fast now?! It's like mine, Kurt or Sara's brave order!" Fie replied and then we begin to respond to a counter attack.
"I think it's this spell Liam taught Campanella, but on a larger scale!" I growled as I was clashing with my creator.
"Haha, that's right!" Campanella as he block and then cast his next spells as he is fighting against, Emma, Jusis, Alisa, and Kurt. "This lovely spell is Dark Wind. It boost our speed but also give us a higher critical strike."
"That would explain the sudden boost. Then again, this is wonderful! Ohoho!" Mariabell replied as she was fighting against Juna, Musse, Gaius and Sara.
Tartaglia change his Duel Saber into daggers and wrapped at us and launched a powerful slash attack Machias, Cedric, Jusis, Venti and Rean.
"And now it looks like this is going to be even more annoying!" I muttered as I was slashing with my creator.
"But this will also be your trial if you have what it takes to the very end. Can you overcome it. We shall see." Liam replied and then he let out a powerful spin slash onto us and push us back.
Shirley then reappeared behind me but I block it and then leap over and then land a powerful jab onto Shirley and kick her in the face hard and push her back and then begin to unleash my full strength because of Liam too. And then while we were crashing onto each other. Venti uses his Craft and all five of them and strikes them and Juna follow up and then Rean use his hexil onto them and deliver a critical strike. And then I follow up with Spiral Pillar and strike them very good and follow up with Rean while the others launch their crafts onto them and then deliver some powerful blows onto them. Liam and Ouroboros launch some powerful strikes as well and Campanella use his craft and switch us all. And because of that. Liam use a different craft.
"How do you like this?" Liam wave his left arm and over his head and numerous copies of their orbs in the air and Liam redirects them all at us. "Flash Forward!"
That attack deliver a powerful strike onto us and then Shirley follow up an attack against me. The battle continues on but this stupid spell Campanella cast is really putting us in the edge. And while we are resuming our powerful attacks onto them.
"Elude as Gale: Minstrel Waltz!" Venti cast his brave order onto us. Nice!
And as our enemies attack us. We easily dodge them and counter-attack and then just as Mariabell was casting a spell. We cancel her and then landed some critical strikes on her and then
"Together Levi!" Rean quoted for a team attack.
"Hehe~, you got it Rean!" I quoted and then he and Rean did a powerful Team attack onto Mairabell, Liam, Tartaglia, Shirley and Campanella.
Both sides soon slash and clash onto both sides. Shirley with her chainsaw. Mariabell with her alchemy magic and dolls. Campanella with his tricks. Tartaglia with his incredible weapons skills. And Liam with his incredible strength and skill.
Liam suddenly laughed. "Now then." He leaps into the air and warps about the vicinity, performing a barrage of phantom slashes that gathers us into the center. and finishes by landing back on the ground with a large, explosive slash and caught us off guard.
"How trite." Liam quoted and then Mariabell follow up.
"A clear shot." Tartaglia then launched his most powerful Craft onto us. A large massive humpback whale-shaped was created from his charge bow shot and slam onto us. "Celestial Voyager!" It push us to unbalance. "Shouldn't let your guard down!" Then- "Raise some hell, Shirley!"
"Heehee~ Got it!" Shirley quoted as she and Tartaglia both wrapped at us and launched a powerful beast-like attack onto us. It definitely hurt like hell.
"Hehe, try this! Aegis Shield!" Campanella cast a new spell this time. As glyphs appeared from the center and spread out and then it replace the illusion of the rain.
"Now what does this do?" Alisa wondered as she strike at Mariabell but it didn't harm her that much.
"Ohohoho! I thought I felt an itch just now." Mariabell laughed as she summon her puppet attacks.
"This almost look like my Black Tortoise, Elliot and Millium's brave order!" Rean muttered
"Yep. Aegis Shield reduces all form of damage from you all by 90 perfect. In addition to restore our own HP, CP, and EP by 80 percent." Campanella respond and then he strike at them with his magic
"Now you're really pissing me off!" I growled.
As we do some battling again. But with the less damage now they're getting. This battle isn't going anywhere. I need to cancel it somehow! While I leap back. I begin to channel my power and then look into the spell Campanella cast while everyone is fighting. Okay, these incantations… okay… Liam really is one skill mage… then again he is my creator… aha… yes… I think I'm able to cancel them and use it against them!
Then a magic circle appeared below me and-
"Try this Aegis Shield!" I cast and then suddenly the glyphs vanished and then replace with angel symbols instead. Then all my allies was glowing.
"Say what?!" Campanella exclaimed.
"He cancel and learn the spell!" Liam exclaimed.
"Nice one Levi!" Rean praised me. "Let's go!"
"RIGHT!" Class VII and Cedric then we all begin to strike at Ouroboros and dive them devastating blows and then as me launched back some powerful blows and then. I ended up using Spiral Pillar and he use Arcane Gale and then strike them as we follow up as well.
"Hehe, what did I tell you, fun huh?" Campanella asked
"Ehehe! I'm feeling all tingly!" Shirley laughs with excitement.
"Ooh. You're sending Shivers down my spine." Mairabell replied.
And then they begin to power up. As we launch some counterattacks onto them and then Venti use his crafts and so did I. Mariabell use her S craft onto us and then strike us hard along with Shirley S craft. As Juna launch her craft onto them.
"It's time for the show!" Campanella quoted as he begin to use his S craft and then snap his finger and the a flash engulp us and then we all reappeared on stage and then. "Now, time to perform!" Campanella act as the conductor. He swirl his Baton. "Music, scenery, play out your performance. To begin our final play." And then musical instruments appeared and and music notes from it then begin to strike at all of us hard and then the scene of the field in Zemeriua, rise to the sky scene, then arrived at space. And then finally the scene where two snake eyes glowing a lowly growl was heard and then zoom out and a humongous snake-like creature with the reptile possessing light pupil-less eyes, a pair of massive fangs sprouting from the jaw roared. "Now, witness the final performance of the serpent who will devour all!" Then the Giant Serpent charge towards us and open it's jaw. "Ophiuchus Meterora!" Then the giant serpent swallow us into darkness and it's fangs delivered a devastating blow onto us. Then got a vision as the curtains close as Campanella bow. "Thank you, come again." Then a white flash gulp us and return but in devastating damage.
As I begin to cast my Arts to Heal everyone greatly. And we begin to use our S craft onto them and then Juna her new one. Then follow up by Musse, then Ash, Kurt, and Cedric.
As our foes were pushed back. Tartaglia burst into laughter.
"Tahahaha! My blood is boiling!" Tartaglia quoted as we got him excited now.
We continue to launch an all out assault. We use Venti's Brave Order again as we use our Support Crafts. Then for our mage team. Alisa, Venti and Emma begin to launch their lost Arts. Jusis, Ash and Cedric Support them with their Art Support 2. And then launched devastating blows onto our foes. Then, Campanella, Shirley and Mariabell fall onto their knees with their defeated quotes. Their defeat severed their combat link with Liam. But Liam and Tartaglia is still standing. Damn! How strong are they?!
We use my brave order Astral Virtue. Then Venti use his craft and then Wind Chain, following my Theia's Light. Tartaglia begin to use his S Craft onto us and it really land some powerful powers to many of us. Immediately knock some of us out. The others begin to revive them using Arts. We begin to strike at Liam and Tartaglia and then follow up as they was striking us all back and using their crafts. We fought back with our Crafts as well. And then. Liam suddenly use his different craft.
"Try to survive…" Liam pulled the same sword from his chest but his eyes was glowing blue and stare at us now and then a slash strike at us but with a star symbol appeared out of nowhere. "This." Then a powerful slash strike as us and the sound of shattering glass was hard and strike us. But then we all notice that he CANCEL The brave order, reduce our buffs. And allow Tartaglia to follow up.
"The hell!?" Ash exclaimed.
"He cancel the brave order?!" Juna exclaimed
"It will take more than brave orders to defeat us. Now come!" Liam said and then we begin to resume our slash with him and Tartaglia. Venti and I buff the group again while Cedric use his Support Craft for us to go first to attack. We begin to stirke and follow up. Then we begin to do an all-out attack on him and strike them hard. Then finally Tartaglia begin to fall as the combat link severed.
"Ehehe... That was a good bout..." Tartaglia fell on his knees.
"So you all become this strong, huh?" Liam asked in his quote. "Then it's time we brought this to a close!"
Then he unleash his true power and then begin to use his S craft.
"Sea of stars, rain onto this world." Liam quoted his S craft and then swirl his sword and then raise his sword high and a bream launch into the air and then we all saw many constellations. "Zodiac, Constellations, Summon your chosen beast. Bring me your sphere. Bestow your power onto me." Then animals of the zodiacs and the constellations sphere appeared as the scene around begin to change into a celestial scene. "Rain my judgments. Bear witness my power." and then zodiacs animals and Sphere then redirect at us and tremendous attack onto us. Then Liam's sword imbue with celestial power by his command. "Say your prayers." Then he begin to send out a slash projection. "Grand Celestia!" Then send out a Large Celestial slash onto us and then we were engulfed in celestial light. "Farewell." Then Liam walk away.
And we were engulfed in light. Then we reappeared on the platform after the battle over a devastating damage. Far worst than any S craft these four throws at us. It cancels our buff and also our brave orders. Not to mention he indomitable strength. We quickly heal ourselves and then resume striking at Liam and then follow up as we push Liam back hard.
"Sacred Light. To me!" I use my power within my soul and creatively increase everything as I was surrounded by my golden aura.
Then Rean use his Demon Unchained. Then we begin to build up our attacks as Liam was also able to withstand it and the Venti increase our Buffs. And then everyone begin to do so many S crafts on Liam. And then Once Juna delivers her S craft onto him.
Then suddenly Liam was on break mode.
"Cheeky little-!" Liam growled on his break mode.
"Now!" I shout out.
"Crash! Thunderbolt Formation!" Kurt quoted his Brave Order.
Then we launched a swiftly and powerful Crafts and follow ups onto Liam.
"Doah!" Liam break state hurt quote. And we begin to deliver more powerful crafts onto him.
Soon everyone deliver their S craft onto Liam and then Once I deliver my S craft with all my my strength.
As Juna launched a powerful bash attack onto Liam. "Let's knock them down, Venti!" Juna quoted for a rush attack.
"On it!" Venti quoted as they both launched a powerful rush attack onto Liam.
We were this close to defeating him!
"Ehehehe… Well done…" Liam look back at us. "But your final against me awaits. Do you have the will to shatter it!?"
And then Liam snap his finger and then he was surrounded by a barrier. We all begin to attack it but it repels us as he strike at us. Ugh now what!?
"Ugh!" I groaned. "His barrier repels our every attack!"
"It's some kind of celestial barrier. Maybe I can handle it." Millium said.
"Rean. Now is the time." Valimar said. "Summon me."
"That won't work. I forbid it." Liam said and then snap his finger and then a barrier appeared. "I summoned a barrier to prevent you from calling your Divine Knight. This is supposed to be your trial. I won't allow outside interference to aid you."
"Guh!" Rean clenches his teeth.
"Strike at me. Show me your will, Rean Schwarzer, Levi Sullivan! Show me how you two evolve from a Divine Blade and he who bears light to repel Ishmelga!"
Damn him… Wait.. show him how Rean became the Divine blade and… me who bears the light to repel Ismelga? Wait… those were hints…! Our will!
Me and Rean look at each other and then we begin to do our duo S craft! We both unleash our full power from our soal.
"Primordial Light, hear my plea." I said as I hold my Glaive forward.
"Mind and Body, Unleash my chains." Rean swirl his Tachi and then we both glow as Light and dark. Me and Rean were in perfect sync. We open our eyes and then charge at Liam.
Rean then launched a wide dark slash. While I was on the other side launches a wide light slash. Both slashes came into contract with each other with Liam at the center, launching a powerful explosion. Then Rean hellfire vortex slash. While I land a plunger of pillars of light appeared.
"Prepare to witness our bond." Me and Rean said and then our weapons extended and then I toss my Glaive into a swirl slash all over with Radiant light. While Rean swirl his Tachi and is ready to strike. We zoom and launched an upper slash and then a sword projection and then a slam down. "We who are light and dark. We who walk this path. Shall save this world from eternal strife!" Then me and Rean launched powerful phantom slashed and then we pose as we got each other's back and cling our weapons together. Then jump into the air with a warcry and launch a wide slash of light and dark and collide into a twister beam as we dive in together as a cartwheel. Then strike at Liam and pass through him then open our eyes. "Yin and Yang: Primordial Domination!"
Then we were engulf in white light. After back we left off. Liam's barrier broke!
"Ehehe…" Liam slowly was on his knees. "Color me impressive..."

We did it! The battle has won… but we all exhausted ourselves. Damn… that was literally a very hard battle. However, it's only that hard because of Liam! His strength is absurd. I can tell with that kind of power… he can literally obliterate an entire country! Despite being surrounded by other monsters, we still overcame the odds.
"We did it!" Juna declared.
"But damn… that battle with Liam was harder…" Venti panted.
"Yeah… if he weren't fighting alongside Ouroboros… He's incredible strong…" Rean panted.
"He truly is one hell of a monster… We were this close to lose…"
Soon Liam was the only one who got up and panted. While Mariabell, Tartaglia, Shirley, and Campanella were on floor panting. Tartaglia was on his knees though.
"Hah, how'd you like that?" Ash panted.
Mariabell sighed. "Dear me, how unexpected..."
"Maaan. You guys really got me all tired… I can keep fighting for three days straight… but you really push me to the limits…" Shirley panted.
"You all gotten even stronger than the last time. I got to admit. You really pushed us into a corner." Tartaglia added.
"Aww, I even used the spells Liam taught me. While it work perfectly and effectively but it didn't make a difference." Campanella said.
"Hehehe… Indeed… It's been a while since I lost to such an epic battle…" Liam panted. "Hehe… So this is how it feels like to be proud as a parent…" Liam then brush off his shoulder. "You have done well, Rean, Levi, Venti. I'm proud of you all. That include you too, Class VII, Cedric. You all grown so much in such a short amount of time. And those requests I had you all do help you gain some heights."
"Yeah… you definitely put us through hell…" I replied. "Although we are not that strong as you… the only reason how we beat you is that we fight as one against you."
"That's right. While strength and skill are important. To reach true strength is within the hearts and soul of your own belief, even in a dim hope. As well as your emotions, your bonds and trust to each other, allowing them to flow through your bodies like waves in the ocean. Of course, I doubt these four idiots understand because they gain "strength" from their Grandmaster's Blessing. What pathetic excuse to not know real strength."

"Said the guy who thinks togetherness and bonds are tripe."

And the country if I chose so. You have not reached your true strength just yet. Regardless, you all done well. Hope your small victory from me at least helped you grow. Speaking of, Rean, Levi. Surely you both notice."
Oh, that's right… When Rean and I attacked together… it felt like our hearts we gain some new insight of height.
"That duo attack is an example. You both shown me your resolves, your bonds, and your will. Combining that with your bonds was able to unlock a power within your soul. That was able to shatter my small barrier. Keep that up, and you will win and end this nightmare Erebonia has suffered from the Ebon Knight."
"So that's why you want to see our will. Of me: the Divine Blade… and Levi's light." Rean said.
"Yes. We're all still young, there is much we can still learn from the wisdom of strength, skill, and bonds. But that's enough of this talk."
Then Liam tap his boot on the ground and then we reappeared back where we were at. Then Liam suddenly whistles. Tartaglia also whistle.
Suddenly, Mariabell grew wings, a white horse appeared behind Liam. And a Pegasus appeared behind Tartaglia as well. Both Liam and Tartaglia backflip and mount up and then Shirley ran to Tartaglia and jump and ride with him. The five of them lifted into the air.
"Where do you think you're going?!" I cast a spell and chains towards them.
But Liam snap his finger and a dome appeared that broke the chains. I click my tongue and then Altina and Fie who hop on begin to charge at them.
"Rio." Liam called out.
And then a large beautiful Azure Bird appeared underneath Ouroboros and Liam. It let out a cry and blow Altina and Fie back with her combat shell.
"Whoa. That bird look almost like Grianos." Campanella said.
"Perhaps. But this is my familiar. And this white stallion is also my familiar."
"Hehe. I see. They both look far more powerful than Vita. Considering how powerful you are my friend."
"Hehe. Flattery won't get you anywhere Campanella."
"Aren't we friends, though? I'm surprised you have one too, Tartaglia."
"Actually, this Pegasus was a gift from Liam. But in any case." Tartaglia replied before turning to us. "In any case, do you seriously think you can capture us?"
"I WOULD have captured you four but it is thanks to Liam that you are able to escape. But even if I do capture you… As much as I want to kill you and send your heads to your Grandmaster, no. We beat you, now it's time to spill out what you know." I cross my arm. "Starting with you Liam. Who exactly are you? How did you create me and Venti? What IS your goal!? How do you know about them, and the events?!"
"Slow down! You're bombarding me with too many questions!" Liam replied. "Fine. As your reward. I will tell you as promised. I told you my name. I am Liam Randolph. An Outsider of this world. But I am an Enforcer."
That surprised us.
"An Enforcer of Ouroboros?!" Rean asked
"No. Not of Ouroboros." Liam answered. "I serve someone far grander than Ouroboro's Grandmaster. You can say my master is the creator of all life and worlds. Even Aidios herself."
That surprised us. Even Ouroboros.
"My role as an Enforcer is to make sure that characters from different worlds obey their roles as in stories that have been foretold. You can say that I held from a world of soothsayers. How I know you all including the SSS, Ouroboros, Class VII, old and new. Are all part of the story title Trails of Cold Steel. But Trails of Cold Steel is about the story of Erebonia where you are the main protagonist Rean. But unlike the story which is foretold. This is the real world. The real version that can follow the story exactly how it plays out. And in MY version, Levi here is just an original character. You can say I created a parallel world where Levi exists as the deuteragonist. Think of it as I created a fan-fiction. That should answer those three questions."
And then the room was silents.
"To know how I created you and Venti. I'm not a god If that is what you're asking. But it also not alchemy. If you were with alchemy, Mariabell would definitely be obsessed with how you two are synthetic humans. Not homunculus. I simply created you both by my power. On which power you are wondering, you can say I use Life magic. To be human like all of your friends. To answer that other question. About my goal is to kill Ishmelga."
"Kill Ishmelga?" Rean asked
"Yes. In my story. Everything is exactly played out in the real story that already existed. That includes villains like Ishmelga. But also to make sure that you Rean, follow the true ending."
"The true ending…"
"So then… what about me?" Cedric asked. "What happens to this parallel me?"
"If you're wondering why I save you from being in Ishmelga's control… is because of your wish. You wanted to follow the path of heroes, like everyone here. As for what happened to your parallel version. Let's just say you lost everything."
Cedric gulp.
"Hold on... who is this 'she' you mention back then?" I asked.
"I already told you. That answer is Classified."
"Then enlighten us this." Laura said. "Why were you in the Vander and the Arseid school back then?"
"Come on, it should be obvious." Liam replied. "The reason I was in both schools of Erebonia was to add both Vander and Arseid swordsmanship into my repertoire. I also added Court Fencing I had Rufus teach me awhile back."
"Even Rufus?!" Jusis exclaimed.
"I believe I answer all of your questions. If you have more. I will release a sigh."
"I have one final request." Rean said.
Liam sighed. "What is it?"
"What will happen to Levi and Venti if we defeated Ishmelga?"
Liam close his eyes. "You really want to know?"
"Yes… what will happen after we fulfilled our purpose… our existence in your 'story'?" Levi asked
"Then the story is finished… and I will erase you both."
And then Class VII and I gasped Before I can react.
"NO! I WON'T LET YOU!"
Then suddenly Rean pulled me into his arms and he pointed his Tachi at Liam.
"I won't let you erase Levi's existence! Including Venti's existence! You may have created Levi and Venti in your 'story', but they are part of Class VII and our lives! We won't let you take them away from us! We will fight you with all of our strength to prevent that from happening!" Rean growled and show how anger he is.
"Rean…" I couldn't help but feel so happy as I blushed red
Liam blink twice then he suddenly burst to laughter. "Ehahahahaha! My. That was quite the reaction. Better than I ever hope."
"Huh?" Rean asked
"I was just teasing you."
"Wha-"
"Allow me to create the real answer. After that is done. I also wanted you two to live your life that you please. Whatever you do. Whatever you want. It's your own business. That is why I created you both, to live in this world in my place. So you can do as you please in my place, after you have done your roles. The two of you are like my children. Even though I am quite young. Your life is your life alone. Anything that happens outside of my imagination is your own business. I hope that you two live a wonderful life along with your friends."
"Liam…" I was speechless to respond
"You…" Venti trailed off.
"Oh, Levi… please forgive your creator for putting you to sleep and preventing you from purifying Ash from that party in the Imperial Palace. And Back at the Gral."
I gasped. "So it was you?!"
"Yes. I can control you and Venti like puppets. I just put you to sleep. I normally would allow you to purify Ash so I can either play the Calvardian assassin or have one under a spell but… It really felt wrong and I don't want to hurt a great man the Eugent Reise Arnor. As much as I really hate it. I allow Ash to be the sacrificed pawn Ishmelga has place on him."
So that is why I was suddenly sleepy.
"Oh and one more thing. Please forgive me for the monsters I've summoned during your Einhen Keep before the Great Twilight happened."
"So it was you!" I exclaimed
"Sorry. I thought I make it more interesting and help you guys grow even stronger. It work, didn't it?" Liam nervously laughed.
Well, I can't deny that.
"NOW. I think. I answer your questions. Now it's your turn, Ouroboros."
"Oh, fine. The truth is, the Phantasmal Blaze Plan is still in effect. In fact, it's nearly at its end. Once the Rivalry of the Seven has been completed, our objective will be met." Campanella answered
"How come Vita wasn't aware that your goal had changed?" Celine asked.
"It's because of what she tried to do at the Infernal Castle, right?" I guessed. "And now that I think about it. It's exactly like your plan, isn't it Liam?"
"Oh?" Liam eyebrow.
"Your plan as well as Ouroboros is about ending Ishmelga, isn't it?"
"Well, you're half-right but also half wrong."
Half right and wrong?
"Unlike my plan. My plan is to kill Ishmelga for his crimes. He is a threat that endangers not just this world. But all worlds. And if he betray his role. My role is to end him. In Vita's case. She wanted to lift the curse through those pseudo-rivalries she setting up. While Ouroboros' Phantasma Blaze plan is to witness the reformation of the Great One. They don't honestly care if all of its pieces stick together properly."
"Wh-What do you mean?" Machias asked
"In other words. Their goal isn't to claim the two Sept-Terrions… but rather, you intend to return power divided among the Divine Knights back to one." Musse explain.
"And it doesn't matter to you If it's properly reformed or not?" Gaius asked
"That's riiight… we don't care if they disappear either, the same way the Sept-Terrion of Mirage did. Observing the path each of the seven Sept-Terrions take when dropped into mankind's hand in this possible world. That is our goal. The driving force behind the Grandmaster's plan." Campanella answered.
"You and Liam keep mentioning worlds. We get that Liam is someone from the Beyond, from a different world. But are you telling us that there are more worlds out there?" Crow asked
"That is something you don't need to know right now." Liam said. "Wouldn't you agree?"
Mariabell laugh. "Agreed. I'm afraid those who are still bound by the shackles of this wouldn't be able to comprehend our mission. Not everyone can be on the same level as Professor Epstein, after all."
"Plus if you remember my words while explaining your questions. I gave some hints that might help you out. But if you want another hint. You can look into the secrets the church has kept from the rest of the world. In addition to that. I'm not the ONLY outsider here. Levi and Venti may have the essence of otherworldly but I did create them in this world. The difference, however, is that I created them without being shackled into this world."
"For now, don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Just focus on the Rivalries ahead."
"Oh we will, and now that I'm aware of what the Grandmaster wants, perhaps it's time I made future plans of my own." I replied. "But that can wait...for now, before you leave, tell your Grandmaster this. If she ever thinks of putting the world in danger again, then she will have to go through me. And I will find her. And I will kill her and destroy Ouroboros ONCE and for ALL. Including taking your lives."
"Oh my, such a bold statement. But very well, we'll let the Grandmaster know. Considering the power you have now, she would be wise to take you seriously." Campanella replied. "But be careful what you wish for..."
"She is no doubt a genius, but she can hold her own, too." Mariabell added.
"I suppose I'm up next." Tartaglia said. "You're wondering about me. I will tell you this. I gain the ability to manipulate water was because of a gift Liam has given me. But when and how is a secret between us. Perhaps you should pay attention to the hints Campanella and Liam mention."
Then Mariabell, Tartaglia, Campanella, Shirley, and Liam turn their heads to the elevator behind them.
"By the by, Rufus is waiting for you all on the top floor. Oh, and he's got Alberich. You might want to be careful with that one." Mariabell warned.
"Hmph. I can deal with those two idiots. And dispose of Alberich myself. As for your Grandmaster. Not even she can predict what I will do. Even though Clairvoyance." I scoff.
"Well said." Liam smiled.
"So long and farewell to all of you." Campanella said. "I would like to witness the showdown between you and McBurn, but I suppose we'll have to wait and see. And besides, he may finally be able to accomplish his long-held plan if he's up against you."
"Regardless of how this tale ends, Ouroboros will carry on with the Grandmaster's plan." Mariabell added. "We will soon move on to the third stage of the Orpheus Final Plan, but we'll be sure to keep an eye on you Levi Sullivan."
"Sure, be my guest." I replied. "And who knows. Maybe we will encounter you again. But this time. Your head is mine."
"Ohoho. I'm looking forward to it then. Oh, and by the way, Juna-dear. Would you mind passing on a message from me to Elie and her friends from the SSS? Please tell them that we'll meet again someday. Oh, and that I'll be rooting for Crossbell's independence."
"Farewell, all of ya. Give Dolphy my regards, k?" Shirley replied.
"Oh and before I go." Liam said. "Alisa. You're aware that Black Alberich is a parasite Persona. That persona isn't your father. Your real father is still in there, being suppressed by Ishmelga. Please don't be mad at Levi for 'harming' your father. Aside from me, Levi and Venti are the only ones who can help you reach your father who is being suppressed by the parasite persona. And kill that parasite, setting him free at long last."
"Ah…" Alisa gasp.
"Oh and Rean, I'm very aware of your relationship with my Avatar. So congratulation to the two of you! I really wasn't expecting that at all! And how you boldly place him under your arm and threaten me, was so romantic! It proves you really love him. I'm happy he had someone like you. And how you two perform your love and… intertwine your love."
"Intertwine our love? What do you- wait… how did-." I wondered what he means and then my eye widen and completely turn red along with Rean.
"YOU SAW THAT?!" Me and Rean exclaimed as we blush red. "HOW?!"
"Tahahahaha! Forgive me, I didn't mean to pry. I couldn't help but wonder what is going on. Anyway, Rean, As Levi's father, if you dare break my sweet Levi's heart." Then Liam give a death glare. "Know that I will hunt you down and make you rue the day you broke my son's heart."
"Uh… noted." Rean sweatrop
"Levi, Venti. I'm glad you two have a wonderful life with your friends here. Rean, Cedric, Class VII. Take care of them in my place. We'll meet again."
And then, they all vanished away.

"I don't know what to make of all this." Machias said.
"I won't lie...that was a lot of shocking information to take in." Elliot added.
"And Professor Epstein is involved somehow, too…" Musse replied.
"To think I assumed he was simply another historical figure, famous for first harnessing orbal energy half a century ago." Kurt trailed off.
"And this possible and other worlds… and something about the church keeping deep secret from the rest of the world…" Venti trailed off. "So Instructor, as daring of you to embrace my brother in your arm, what does our creator mean by intertwining your-" My little brother HAD to smirk.
"VENTI! NOT ONE WORD!" Me and Rean exclaimed as we blushed.
"Anywaaay. So Levi. How do you feel after what your daddy told you?" Crow asked
"Well… honestly. I'm happy. I thought I would imagine something worst. But it's the opposite. Still, 'Real world'... Oh never mind that. We already stall too much time with questioning and listening to my creator. Plus that battle with him was beyond intent…"
"Yeah… his strength was indomitable. I wouldn't be surprised if his strength is stronger than the Steel Maiden and the Blazing Demon." Rean sighed.
"Although I'm surprised they are willing to give that much information. It was quite the parting gift. Still… next will be Rufus and Alberich next. As for Mcburn… Well… we can think of that another time."
"Yeah. We've surprised whatever comes at us and live to tell the tales to the others." Sara nodded
"Looks like Juna has a message she has to pass on." Fie added
Juna nervous laughed. "I kind of wish that she'd tell them herself, but oh well. I can't wait to speak with Lloyd and Estelle."
"That's one more reason we've got to make sure we return safely." Rean nodded
"We could go straight there, or take a short break at the garden." Gaius said.
"It feel like we should probably strike while the iron's hot." Elliot replied.
"The top floor of the Empyreal Fortress will be our next stage. The fifth Rivalry awaits." Musse replied.

And so we return to the garden and take a break because of Liam. I was chatting with Venti about our existence and now we understand.
"Oh, hey, Venti, Levi." Rean said.
"Hey Rean." I smiled.
"Were you discussing about what Liam said?"
"Yeah. We understand he wanted us to live our lives our own. We're very happy about that." Venti smiled
"Yeah. We're still going to keep this a secret from the rest of the world though…" I added
"Yeah." Rean nodded. "Still, it proves that Liam really cares about the both of you, despite the 'story' he mention."
"Yeah. But what is up with that? Are we in really some story? Trails of Cold Steel? You as the main protagonist, and me the deuteragonist? Does he seriously mean that?"
"I honestly can't tell if he was joking or serious. But he did mean that he only created you so you can live in his place. But I'm very curious about what he and Ouroboros mean through."
"About other worlds... That's another thing we need to look into. Still, I'm glad we're going to live our lives as we please as he said."
"Same here." Venti smiled
"Still… what embarrasses me more is that he mention what we did last night…"
"Yeah. That was far surprising." Rean sighed.
"Ahh. So I see what he mean." Venti smirked
"V.E.N.T.I." Then me and Rean look at him a look to stay out of it as he chuckled. A troublesome little brother I have. But I do love him.
Whoooooa hoho! That was a lot of information there. Also, did you find it surprising what Liam said? I thought it would spice things up. Also, how did you guys like the stage, the battle, huh?
