We then made a quick return to the garden area where in the middle was now a huge lift. We had a quick rest.

I was looking at the waterfall. So Rufus was trying to find meaning of his own life, huh? I guess we sort of share that. I notice Rean's presence coming close.

"Hey there Rean."

"Hey Levi. Let me guess, thinking what Rufus just said?" Rean asked

"As expected of my boyfriend. You know what I was thinking." I smiled. "Honestly. He is a spoiled bat. Yet I share some kinship with him. I was wondering about the purpose of my life. And all those long years I found it. While Rufus hasn't with his. Poor guy."

"Yeah. But I'm sure he will make up for everything he's done."

"I hope so. Something tells me that he has a role somewhere."

"You think so?"

"Yeah. Guess we'll find out and see. And now there's my battle with the Blazing Demon and his true form."

"Yeah… I'm really worried about you though. I don't want you to face him alone…"

"I know. It's okay. I'm going to win that fight. After this rest and all that. I will recovered. Who knows. Maybe a kiss from you might recover my energy." I wink.

"Hehe. You don't have to ask my love." Rean smile.

After the nice break. We took the lift that took us downwards to the Central Sector of the fortress. Osborne, his Ebon Kight and possibly Albeirch again, will be waiting for us, but before that, we arrived at the core level. I can sense the intensity in the air.

"Guess there ain't a need for words at this point." Ash said.

"Yes. We've almost made it to the end." Musse nodded

"It's been over two years since Class VII was founded. How times flies." Machias added.

"I consider myself lucky to be here with everyone today." Eliot smiled

"I feel exactly the same." Juna nodded

"Same here. Who would had guessed that us classmates and our dear prince would end up on a journey together to save the world. I guess it is a story that Liam mention." I smiled.

"And this story will be perfect for our grand saga as we tell countless generations." Venti added.

"Two more adversaries remain here." Laura said. "Through, our battle is Liam earlier proven to be a warm-up of battles yet to come. Mcburn and the Chancellor will be more difficult than any others we've faced."

"We can thank Liam for the heads up." Sara nodded. "We can handle them all together."

"The generic monsters on the way keep getting feistier, too. They're almost a job for the Soldats." Crow replied

"Don't skimp on top-level arts and Lost Arts when you feel you need them. It's good practice anyway." Celine advised

"And don't forget to unleashed all the crafts and Orders you've got under your belt, while you're at it!" Millium added

"Well then, let's go." Jusis said.

"Thors Military Academy, Class VII" Alisa announced

"And Crown Prince of Erebonia…" Cedric added

"Prepared to advance to the final sector of the Empyreal Fortress!" Rean command

"Right!" We nodded.

We made our ways through the dark, overwhelming pressure halls with stronger monsters as Crow said. We had to blaze through the sector area until we reached the large door where we felt a surge of power much stronger than ever before.

"Whoa, you sense that?" Crow asked. "So much power in the air, you'd think it was ripping off in heat waves."

"Yep. That's him all right." I nodded

"I think even we're all picking up on that." Fie replied

"It's like a raging wild fire." Kurt trailed off.

"I'd say you're developing rather well if you can discern that much." Celine said.

"His power cames from beyond- governed not by the rules of this world but by the Divergent Laws." Emma added

"Yeah. Although my and Venti's case is different, according to Liam. In any case, my showdown has arrived." I said. "Everyone, what we may be about to face, will very well put all of our lives in great danger. I'm going to battle McBurn alone, and it would mean the world to me, if all of you are there to see it."

"Of course, Levi. We'll be right at your side to the bitter end." Rean replied. "Just… be careful."

"You've got everyone of us backing you up, pal." Crow added. "We'll make sure to have our eyes on you."

"Yes. And with us at your side, we'll make sure you remain fully charged and ready to fight beyond what you have." Cedric added. "Remember to keep all of us in your mind when you fight him."

I smiled, nodding slowly. "Thank you, everyone..."

"But before that, I want to talk with him as much as possible so we can get some more intel." Rean said. "Not to steal Juna's idea on that one."

"Oh." Juna replied

"A sound plan." Altina replied

"He may reveal more than the Fool did... If he's so inclined." Machias sighed

"Let's see if we can get him in the mood to talk." Gaius nodded

"It's possible since I will be the one to face him." I sighed. "Let's hope. Let's go."

I then took point and led the group through the opened door, entering a very large area, almost like it was an indoor stadium, and in the very center...was Mcburn. He's surrounded by his flaming aura. But he's in his Blazing Demon formed

"Man, took you guys long enough." Mcburn said. "I was gettin' fed up waiting here. Thought you might've died on the way or somethin'."

I shrug. " Oh come on, you know there was no way we could let that happen."

"You just can't hold back anymore, can you?" Crow asked.

"His overwhelming power is pouring out...the black flames that engulf all." Gaius said.

"McBurn, before you and Levi exchange words, do you remember what you said to me and Levi two years ago?" Rean asked.

"Yeah, I remember our nice little chat on the Pantagruel." McBurn replied.

"The Pantagruel? That must have been during the civil war..." Machias hummed

"So that's what they talked about." Celine said

"I finally understand what you meant back then." Rean said "That part of me that was mixed in was Osborne's heart. It's not only the source of this power of mine, but also what connected me to the curse and made me the Sacrifice."

"Rean..." I said quietly.

Mcburn chuckled a little. "Heh, don't give me too much credit. I just had a hunch, that's all. But looking at you now, it's much than just a small part of you. Nothing compared to me though."

"Well, of course not." Rean replied. "I've already figured it out, but I wish for Levi to ask you the next question."

Rean looked at me and I nodded. "Before we start our showdown, Rean and I wanna confirm things. First off, I know I'm already aware during our chat. But for everyone else who doesn't know, you're not from this world to begin with, right?"

Everyone else looked surprised.

"H-He's not from this world?" Juna asked.

"You mean he's like Liam?" Elliot asked.

"I think it's different from Liam." I said. "And while we're thinking of it. Let's mention your weapon, Angbar, that sword you like to bring out sometimes. You once said that it's a weapon that shouldn't exist in this world."

"Levi may be right." Gaius said. "We were raised to believe that this was the one true world created by Aidios. In fact, we're incapable of even considering otherwise. The existence of angels and devils on other planes was as much as we were only allowed to understand. But we can't even contemplate the idea that anything might exist beyond the bounds of Zemuria."

"What… do you…?" Jusis trailed off.

"There's something beyond Zemuria?" Kurt asked

"This is an example of the Divergent Laws." Emma explained. "Things we simply cannot understand or even begin to explain. For example, no matter how far you try to fly or sail away from the continent, you're unable to progress past a certain point."

"What?" Juna eye widen

"You're kidding me!" Ash muttered

"It's not a very known phenomenon, but it was recently verified through research." Alisa folded her arms. "Despite a number of attempts to figure out way, science simply can't give us an answer. Yet, similarly to the artifacts, it's something that back the existence of Aidios."

"Ah, so that's where she comes in." Crow said.

"By attributing everything we don't understand to Aidios, we stop thinking for ourselves." Musse added.

Gaius nodded. "Given my position, this isn't something I'm especially proud of. But the church's stance is that so long as order is maintained in the world, we shouldn't do anything to disrupt it."

"The mages and witches of the Middle Ages weren't quite as commendable, however." Emma pointed out. "As such, we theorized that there must be something else behind all of the mysterious event we'd noticed throughout the centuries."

"The Divergent Laws. In other words, the laws that govern what lies beyond the world Aidios created." Celine added. "And at times, certain things from beyond make it into our world, causing inexplicable phenomena."

There was a moment of silence and realization for some of us.

"Indeed. That is the secret the church is keeping from the rest of the world."

And then Liam appeared.

"Liam." I said.

"Many things like the Salt Pale that happen in North Ambria was certainly something. But that is beyond the understanding what you all understand. That applies to Mcburn as well. Considering his background." Liam said as he place his hand on his hip. "Of course a certain group who was so obsessed with learning the truth that is outside of this world. They became so ravenous in their pursuit. They're willing would go through any length. No matter how vile or demonic. I'm sure Juna and Altina know what I'm talking about."

"Wait! You don't mean…" Juna eye widen.

"The D. G cult. Though they focused their efforts in Crossbell, they were operating all over the continent." Altina explained.

"In truth, though, they were being controlled by the Crois family the whole time." Alisa finished

"Say what you want about those cultists, but they pulled off something amazing." Mcburn said. "They're the ones who created Gnosis. A drug that frees you from the shackles of this world."

"They… made something like that?" Machias gulped.

"They sure did. I was planning on destroying the remnants of that disgusting organization eventually. But now isn't the time." Liam shrug. "But in any case, I do wonder though. Mcburn, enlighten us. I can guess why, but why are you so interested in fighting Levi?"

"Yeah. I was wondering the same thing." I asked

"Hehe, isn't it obvious?" McBurn responded. "It's like you and the others just figured out, I'm not supposed to be in this world. Besides, this is a clash between Light and Dark, the world can't handle the sheer power you and I have at the same time. When you decided to fight for the light, I will fight for the dark for one reason. To search answers that I been yearning for."

"Ah. So that's why. You lost part of your memories."

"Exactly. I knew you understand."

Mcburns flames begin to flick. As we can see a large shadow from behind him.

"Wh-what is that?" Musse asked in surprised

"That shadow… yeah… that's the shadow I saw within you. Is that the same shadow some of you saw at Orchis Tower?" I asked.

Rean nodded. "Yeah, it was just like that for a brief moment."

"But this one was a little smaller from Orchis Tower." Venti replied

"The other half of me they saw. That's part of me is from the beyond. The half of me from here was human. That's why I look the way I do." McBurn said. "And before you start asking, no. I don't remember a thing about what the other side is like."

"Ahh... Now I understand why you want to fight me." I replied. "Part of you doesn't belong in this world. While half of you is. The human of this world and the demon from the beyond fused together. I don't know what has happened to you. But it seems when the human of this world met the demon from the beyond, they somehow collide with each other. Becoming one new being. Becoming you. Then all the times you fought us, you were never using your true power until you found someone capable of withstanding your true power. Whether they are similar to you or capable of such a thing in this world."

"Exactly! I knew you understand, Levi! That's exactly why I come to you or Liam for answers. You both along with Bard Boy have this otherworldly essence to this world. The only thing I remember is when my two halves fused together. We collided. Our selves mixing together, so completely, there was no way to split us apart. And in the end, we became me."

"So that's what you meant when you said 'all of you' was mixed." Rean said.

"It's like when the Holy Beast and the Hexen Clan's elder merged into one." Emma added.

"No Emma. He's on a completely different level from Rose!" Celine corrected. "But if that's true, then..."

"His true essence is that of a calamity given form- just like the Salt Pale. Then Levi is the only one who can match up to him. Due to his training and position." Gaius finished.

"And I wasn't trained as Levi has. I never made it that far of strength yet." Venti replied

"For that, you have my apologies, Venti. Perhaps I should have given you the same training as your brother." Liam replied. "Considering Mcburn would likely like to face you as well when you reach your brother's level."

"Anywaaay... What we are waiting for?" I asked as he stood in front of everyone. "Show me your true form!"

"Hehe...looks like you're finally ready, Silver Angel." McBurn replied. "It's been 50 years since I appeared in this world. I've been trying to figure out what I really am the whole time. Trying to dredge up any scrap of memories of where I came from, trying to figure out what I'm even doing here. The one thing I knew for sure was that I'd need to return to my original form to not only get everything back. Things is, if I did that, I'd absolutely annihilate everything around me. Just like how the Salt Pale did."

"And when you discovered about me… and Liam. Because the two of us… and possibly my little brother. We can settle this somewhere else… Like how Liam teleported us into that stage with our fight against him, Mariabell, Tartaglia, Shirley, and Campanella."

"Hell yeah! Now you finally get it, pal!" McBurn said. "That's why this Great Twilight business is the perfect chance. The reality of the world's already being twisted and warped by all this strife they're using to reforge the Great One. So I don't have to worry one bit if my true self completely tears it apart!"

His body then grew big and his true form appeared. Truly, a demon indeed. In this form, he has sprouted some horns and a third, red eye appears on his forehead. His hair lengthens and red streams of energy flows from his body.

"So is your true form. And that's your true power." I respond.

"Yes! This feels right. This is it." Mcburn replied. "My memories are still missing, though. I figured as much. But maybe, as we do battle, I'll regain more of my memories. However, I will focus all my might on you, Sullivan. And if I defeat you. Then Liam here will be next."

"Good grief." Liam sighed.

"Fine... It's my turn now." I said as I begin to approach forward. "It's time for me to use my full power. You all want to step back a bit and cover your eyes."

As they did. I close my eyes and my arms pose a cross X. I begin to channel the power of light through me. I can feel it. The warm light onto me. I open my eyes then I spread my arm and the power of light engulfs the entire room. Once the light died down. I was surrounded by a golden aura. But larger than how I was. The aura was skyrocketing through the ceiling like a pillar. An overwhelming sheer presence. And I can feel my clothes and my hair are like slowly being blow like the wind. My eye color changed to gold

"Whoa…" Rean said in awe.

"This radiant presence…" Gaius added

"Hehe. Just how I imagine." Liam smirked.

Mcburn laughed. "So this is your true power! What incredible power I'm feeling!"

"Hang on, before you duel." Liam said as he got our attention. "I think you two require a larger stage. This one seems pretty small to go all out."

Liam tap the floor with his boot and the whole room change and then we all reappeared in that same celestial area. But unlike the battle with Ouroboros and Liam. This was one different. This was was lines over those spheres and that glowing in the center looks like the Sun.

"Whoa…" Juna replied.

"Where are we now?" Sara asked

"Call this the Solar System stage. I think this should prove more than enough. I'll cast a force field as well to prevent you all to be hurt and blind." Liam answered and snap his finger and a force field was around the stage.

"Yes… this is perfect! Now, give me everything you got! Draw out every inch of your full power, so that I can do the same! Or you will never be able to defeat Ishmelga!" Mcburn smirked

"Ha! Bring it on, McBurn!" l smirked back. "I'll put it all on the line for you!"

"Good luck, Levi!" Rean cheered

"Show Ol' Mcburn what you can do!" Crow added

"Know that we're with you!" Jusis nodded

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAH/HOOOOOOOOOOH!" McBurn and I roared together as our supernatural showdown finally began.

We end up clashing with an incredible shockwave. And soon me and Mcburn let out an all-out assault as he gather fire onto me but I send out multiple rays of light towards Mcburn and pierce his fiery sphere and then straight to Mcburn. He still standing of course and then begin to land some summoned an otherworldly sword and then swing towards me and an otherworldly fire explosion onto me. But I withstand it as I begin to do my next attack as I crouched stance, gathering light in my hands, releasing numerous homing beams of light onto Mcburn. Mcburn use his powers and holding off my homing beam to push it off. As I took the chance. I begin to wrap with a sword of light in my hand and then let out a seven-hit combo onto Mcburn, and let a powerful light explosion onto him and push him back. Mcburn then punch the ground causing a volcanic of fire and Lava as I dodge. Mcburn launched a firey blast onto me. But then I begin to send out a powerful blast of Light onto Mcburn and both forces explode onto each other with a powerful shockwave.

(Liam pov)

I was eating candy as I am literally watching this epic show. Then I notice someone was looking at me and it was Fie.

"What? Want candy?" I asked

(Levi's pov)

Soon Mcburn and I slam our fists onto each other and then our power. My light and his fire. With such strong force launched a powerful shockwave. And then Mcburn then cast a firey tornado onto me and I was trapped in it and then taken damage. Then Mcburn grabs my face and slam me onto the ground with a fiery explosion. But then I withstand it shoot a beam of light onto him and send him flying. Then I begin to create a whip of Light and grab Mcburn and then drag him down in a slam. I begin to wrap and summoned a Glaive of Light and then send powerful slashes of light of 18 all over Mcburns body. Then I begin I leap over the air and gather light and then send out a very large size beam to shake the stage up and then send it at Mcburn. Mcburn dodge the beam and begin to gather fire into an orb and launch a sphere of fire to me. I gather my power and then launch a wide wave projection onto the flame orbs, causing a powerful explosion. As the explosion takes place, The glaive vanished from my hand. I then warp in front of Mcburn and launch a powerful upper punch onto Mcburn's chin and skyrocket him into the air. Which I warp and summoned an axe of light and then launched a powerful swing and shot Mcburn down and cause quite the shake to the ground. Mcburn quickly got up and let out a warcry. And then summoned large orbs of fire into his hands and then combine them into a larger ball of fire and then launched at me. I summoned a Glaive of Light and slice it in half but then Mcburn warp behind me and launched another one behind me and slam me down. As I was slammed down. I quickly got back up and charge toward Mcburn as he was going to strike. I evade and then impale him with my summoned axe and then drag him down and then begin to perform a Cartwheel. As I keep slamming Mcburn onto the ground as a cartwheel. Soon I go faster and then at the end of the cartwheel, I begin to let out a powerful light swing and send Mcburn flying. Then summoned a magic circle and rain down a pillar of light onto him. And soon as he engulfs by the light, then I sense him coming from behind and leap over from his firey blast. Mcburn let out a powerful force and push me back from a distance. Mcburn send out a rain of fire onto the battlefield as I dodge them. I begin to channel my light and then unleash it into a blast to push the fire away. Then I begin to summon sword, lance, axe, glaive, gun, pistols, morning stars, and daggers and then send them towards Mcburn. Mcburn then commands both his hands and channeled power into a sphere and launches them at me. The firey sphere pushing away the weapons of light and then slam onto me. I was trapped within the channels his fire and then turn it into firey pillars and then sends it at me as I took damage. But I withstand it, my hands are powered by light. I begin to move my arms in a circular motion. Then I spread my arms wide and then an entity of light appeared over Mcburn as it roared, which then erupts into a momentous explosion of light, destroying everything within the area of effect.

(Liam's pov)

Thanks to my force field. This show they're putting on was quite the sight to behold! My excitement is rising by the minute. If Tartaglia and other like Campanella, Vita, Aurelia, Lianne are here. They would love to see this. After I see Levi summoned an entity of light and cause that explosion of light, destroying part of the stage which was quickly rebuilt.

"Hoooly crap!" Crow jawdropped.

"What incredible power...!" Emma added

"Levi summoned an entity that strong?!" Celine exclaimed

Then pillars of fire and light rise up from the explosion. Then shoot into the sky was Mcburn and Levi. Their aura begin to mold into forms. Mcburn was a sphere while Levi was also a sphere. They both rammed into each other and cause a huge shockwave. They continue to ram at each other until they both dive to the floor and cause another shockwave. Once the smoke cleared. They both stood against each other from a distance as they stand tall.

(Levi's pov)

I channel my power and launched a wave of light, resembling a Primordial Storm. Mcburn use his fire to form a firey barrier. I leap into the air and then spin, then a magic circle appeared behind me. Then I wave my hands and the magic circle launch barricade of light orbs onto Mcburn. Mcburn channel his fire and grow it large and toss it into the sky. That fire turn into a meteor shower as I use my powers and form into a barrier. But that was a ruse as Mcburn appeared to my left and launched a powerful firey fist and slam me down. As I was falling, Mcburn grab my face to drag me further down. Once we made contact with the ground. It cause a Lava explosion. I channel my power from my body and send a powerful force and push Mcburn back. I quickly got back up as Mcburn landed on his feet. I summoned many magic circles of light that appeared all over and then shoot many beams of light all over the battlefield. Mcburn then channels the fire and punch the ground, causing it to surge the ground and a firey vortex appeared over me. I spread my arms and dispel the firey vortex, only for Mcburn to send out an even stronger and larger firey orb. It's like a large meteor or the sun. I challen my power into a large wide beam of light and pierce the giant ball of fire. But that wasn't over. Mcburn even summon meteors to strike me. Much to my surprise. I had the opportunity I reflect on it back which surprised him. Then I send a beam of light at Mcburn. But that was a feint. I begin to teleport to Mcburn, then trap him in a stormeye of radiant color wind. Once the beam hit Mcburn. Then I summoned a sword of light and then teleport all over Mcburn with furry phantom slashes made out of light. Then I bind him with my light as I warp over him and spread my arms, and then Javelins of light appeared. I clap my hands together that sound like a thunderclap, then the Javelins of light are directed at Mcburn to strike him down at once. Then I summoned a golden magic circle under Mcburn and a pillar of light arise from Mcburn with a powerful force. Once the light died down. The battle then slowed a little as McBurn was finally standing on one knee to support him. While I was from a distance from him as I panted.

"Hah...hah...hah...such...power..." Mcburn panted.

I was tired and ready to fall, but I saved my breath. I begin to summon a sword of light and begin one final strike. I close my eyes and focus on my breathing, and my power. Once I open. I warp behind Mcburn as I slash through him. And then I swirl my sword and sheath it. Once it did. Phantom slashes appeared all over Mcburn and one final slash was line through him.

"So... this is my loss..." Mcburn said as fall forward on the ground.

I panted as I was sweating a lot. Then I begin to walk towards Mcburn, changing my sword of light into a glaive. Once I return in front of Mcburn, I pointed my Glaive of Light at him as he see me.

"Victory… is mine." I said while glaring at him.

"Whoooa..." Juna respond in awe.

"Unbelievable...he...did it." Laura said.

"He defeated McBurn's true form." Kurt added.

"And he won that battle all by himself too." Elliot nodded

Crow whistled. "Now that's what I call a legendary battle."

"Yeah, there's no way we'd be able to match anywhere near the spectacle we saw today." Rean agreed.

"Ooh I bet the others would love to see this." Venti smirked

"Eheheh. Well done Levi." Liam smiled.

I withdraw my Glaive. Then Mcburn slowly got up. The look at his hand.

"Ahh...So that's it." McBurn replied. "I spent all that time looking for answers, and it turns out...Heh… That little rat, Campanella sure got me good. And Ouroboros, huh? They couldn't have picked a better name than that."

He then turned back to his normal form. But Mcburn slowly got up as he had his right arm over his shoulder. In return, restrain my power once more.

"You feeling okay?" I asked.

"Yeah… I'll manage." Mcburn panted.

Then Liam tap his foot and then the area was distorted but we return back to where we were.

"Ah... How I do put this?" Mcburn sighed "Sorry for the trouble, guys."

Well, that came out of nowhere.

"The hell's that comin' from?!" Ash exclaimed.

"Hold on just a second!" Machias added.

Laura sighed "Well, that was certainly unexpected."

"Is it safe to say you accomplished that little goal of yours?" Sara asked.

"Yeah, Half of it. at least" McBurn answered. "The other half was testing this guy's power. But I gotta admit, you really put up a good battle."

"I can say the same to you." I replied. "We really put on quite the show."

Mcburn laughed. "Yeah. Well, it's also official about it as well."

"Official?" I eyebrow then recalled. "Oh, right. About me being your little brother."

And that took some surprise from the people behind me and Liam.

"Say what?!" Machias exclaimed

"Yep. After all, you're sort of akin to me." Mcburn nodded. "We're both outside of this world shackles. Makes you like you're from the beyond too. Hope you don't mind that it."

"Hehe. I don't mind. It feels nice that we do feel akin. And having an older brother." I replied as I couldn't help but chuckled.

"So that's what you decide." Liam replied. "Mcburn as your older brother… I suppose it makes sense."

"In any case, brother." I said. "You have to accept my relationship with Rean. And Venti who is my little brother."

"Heh. It's no prob. Wasn't expecting you two to an item, but who am I to question my little bro's life?" McBurn said. "As for the rest of you, I can tell how much stronger you've gotten. Guess I should've given you more credit, since you took down the Steel Maiden, Liam and all. Oh yeah. He even let me watch that fight. It was pretty awesome."

Rean sighed.

"I take it you're not going to answer our questions then?" Jusis asked

"Look, I get that this is just the way you are…" Crow sighed. "But we're not messing around here. A simple sorry's not gonna cut it."

"If you really wanna make it up to us, help us out." Fie said.

"That's right. You'd made for quite the asset in our battle against the Ebon Knight." Musse added.

"Nah, I'd just get in the way." McBurn replied. "Besides, you all got my little brother. He's more then enough."

We then saw a teleportation circle below him after he put his new glasses on.

"I've got a new objective now. Think I'll pay Campanella and the Grandmaster a little visit. The Third Anguis, too. Got a few choice questions for them. Hmm, should probably add the Abyss to that list. Not sure if this makes up for all the crap I put you guys through. But here, Schwarzer, Ashen Knight. Take this."

"What is that?" Rean asked

"Wow, it's so pretty." Millium said.

"A Primordial Flame. The purest essence of fire." Gaius said in awe

The small flame then went into Valimar and inside Rean too.

"H-Hey!" Juna said in worry

"What's happening?" Alisa asked.

"It's okay, I'm fine." Rean assured. "Thank you, McBurn. I can feel just how powerful this gift is."

"Allow me to extend my thanks as well, Overlord of the Beyond." Valimar said. "I have no doubt this will prove invaluable for the final Rivalry."

"Glad to hear it. Just a heads up, you can probably only use it once, so make it count." McBurn replied.

"Understood. I appreciate it." Rean nodded. "I don't plan on making friends with you or anyone else in Ouroboros, but… I wish you the best of luck, Mcburn. I hope you find what you're looking for… without causing any more trouble."

"Heh. I'll do what I can. No promises though." Mcburn replied. "Say, Levi, looking forward to our next battle. We may see each other again."

"Fine by me." I replied. "The next time you wanna duel with me, I'll look forward to it...well, that, and when the Grandmaster doesn't put the world in danger again."

"Oh yeah, I'll be telling her about that too. Well, Schwarzer, Class VII, Levi, little prince, try not to die, yeah?"

I nodded. "Oh, we won't...and I'll make sure to destroy Ishmelga for good."

"I'll be looking forward to see that's coming true." Liam said as he walk over. "Well, I'll be watching you from the sidelines again. Mcburn, give Campanella my regards."

"Fine. And Crow… later." Mcburn said.

"Haha… So long, Mcburn." Crow replied.

Then Mcburn and Liam vanished

"Phew… That was tiring…" I sighed as I felt I was going to collapse but Rean catch me.

"Levi, you okay!?" Rean exclaimed.

"I'm fine." I smiled. "Just tired after that fight. Most of my stamina was used… I need a nice rest to regain it all… But we don't have time for that. But I'm sure you all have a lot to think about."

"Obviously. While that fight was epic as hell. The hell's his deal?!" Ash replied. "Tryin' to kick your ass one second, then gettin' all chummy the next- drives me nuts!"

"Honestly… same." Fie sighed.

"If only he'd had that change of heart before the fight. It would've save us some time." Musse added

"My head hurts from all the unbelievable things he told us." Machias replied.

"I take it you're referring to the Divergent Laws and mysteries of our world that were brought to light?" Altina asked.

"My whole understanding of the world has been just… shattered." Kurt replied.

"Honestly. This is just too much." Cedric sighed.

"I know it's overwhelming, but it may be best to set aside processing all of this later." Emma stated.

"Yeah, we have a way more pressing issue to deal with right now." Celine nodded

"Right, the Great Twilight. At least something I more or less understand." Juna nervous smile.

"Let's come back to all the revelations from Ouroboros and Liam after we've wrapped up everything else." Alisa nodded.

"This next battle should mark the grand finale to this story." Gaius nodded

"Yeah, we've reached the final destination of this long journey after all." Elliot nodded.

"Of course, even if we manage to avert this impending disaster, there will still be the aftermath of the war to deal with." Laura nodded.

"The end's not in slight just yet. We're coming right up to the climax of this long series of events." Sara nodded

"Yeah. Where we reach the final story." Venti nodded

"Yeah. You are able to stand?" Rean ask me.

"Yeah." I nodded and then got back up my feet. "Thanks Rean."

"Of course. But I do have one question."

"What's that?"

"Are you really going to accept being Mcburn's little brother?"

"Yeah. Why not? I get he's the enemy. But we do feel akin to each other. So why not? Don't want him to feel lonely coming to this world."

"You're too kind dude." Ash sighed.

"Heh… that's my Levi." Rean smile.

"Shall we head out?" Valimar asked.

"I don't see why not." Rean replied "We've got Mcburn's gift to try out, don't we? For now, how about you go back to the garden, Valimar?"

"And you should come with us, Millium." Jusis nodded

"Sure, Sure." Millium nodded

"We don't have far to go, but we must not let down our guard until the end. Valimar added

We made a return to the garden area to rest up for one more time. And I was sitting on the bench relaxing to regain my lost stamina.

"Relaxing after that heavy battle?" Rean asked me.

"Yeah. That battle was legendary." I nodded.

"Yeah. You and Mcburn give one heck of a show too. I wish I could have pulled something like that."

"Don't be silly. You can too. And I don't mean by powers but with your strength, skill, and your heart Rean." I replied with a smile.

"Yeah, I will…" Rean smiled. "Honestly. After that show and how amazing you were. I fell in love with you all over again."

"Hehe. Same to you." I smiled as I blushed.

A young man who is Class VII Assistant at Thors Military Branch Campus. Leads the new Class VII during the search for Rean.

Arbiter

Levi and his master were responsible for the disappearance of many nobles for 10 years. His role as an Arbiter is to judge those in power is they are worthy of living.

Avatar

Thanks to the Specular Moon Mirror, it has been revealed that Levi is an Avatar of Liam Randolph. His Master along with his familiars were also created by Liam.

Purpose

After the battle against Liam, Levi's purpose was to alter Rean's fate from Ishmelga. Other than that. He wishes for Levi to live in this world in his place.

Levi became Mcburn equal after defeating his true form on his own. Levi also accepted Mcburn as his older brother.
