Olivia answers her phone Captain Benson as she is leaving Fin follows her. On the other end of the phone is Bell. Benson says how can I help you she says this is not work related it is personal. She says ok to Bell and then her voice changes.
Then Bell says Elliot has been shot. Where she is standing she drops everything except her phone and says "Oh God" her face goes pale. Fin asks her what's wrong because her face is pale and she tells him that Elliot was shot. Bell was still in the other side of the line. She begins to explain that as soon as he got to the hospital that he flatlined.
As soon as she says this Olivia starts yelling "how the hell did this happen" "did you find the assailant". She is no longer Captain Benson she is now Olivia. Bell says that when she got to the scene he was bleeding out and shot in the chest. That now he has been given blood but when she gets to the hospital she might have to donate because none of his family match.
Bell tells Olivia that it is touch and go right now. When he arrived he flatlined in the ER. The nurses and doctors brought him back. That the doctors are not sure he will make it through the night. That is is currently touch and go. Olivia says "I am on my way what hospital is he at she says "Bellevue". As soon as she hangs up she gives Fin the information. His tells her let me drive you she says ok between sobs.
As soon as they are in the car she just totally breaks down because she loves him so much. When they arrive at the hospital she heads for the ER. She finds Bernie, Bell and the kids. She asks how is he. No one answers her so she goes over to the corner a slides down the wall. Her sobs have slowed down at this point because she does not want to break down in front of the kids and Bernie.
She wants to be alone to do that because she does not want to show her pain to the kids and Bernie also . She also doesn't want to show her feelings for Elliot. She wants to tell him before everyone else finds out.
