The Storm Queen and Darklight Storm were waiting for Queen Chrysalis to contact them. The Storm Queen looked bored.
THE STORM QUEEN (Sighing):
How long does it take for that changeling to take over Zephyr Heights?
DARKLIGHT STORM:
Maybe she's busy absorbing everypony's love. I mean that's what she does, right?
The Storm Queen didn't look happy, until the holo-crystal was ringing.
THE STORM QUEEN:
Finally. Darklight, answer the holo-crystal!
Darklight Storm pressed the green crystal and Queen Chrysalis appeared as a hologram.
THE STORM QUEEN:
Ah, Chrysalis. I assume you're in Zephyr Heights now?
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
Yes, Storm Queen. I've already dealt with Queen Haven and took her place. Her daughters didn't suspect a thing.
The Storm Queen smiled.
THE STORM QUEEN:
Excellent! Now every Pegasus thinks you're Queen Haven.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
Yes.
THE STORM QUEEN:
Now, do you remember the plan?
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
Yes, Storm Queen. When the humacorn arrives at Zephyr Heights, I will make him fall in love with me and when I take his love, he'll be destroyed and his powers will be mine...
The Storm Queen interrupted Queen Chrysalis.
THE STORM QUEEN:
To keep it safe, while you give it to me.
Queen Chrysalis looked disappointed.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
That's what I was going to say.
THE STORM QUEEN:
Good! Now, we understand each other. Let me know when that humacorn is dead.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
Yes, Storm Queen.
When Queen Chrysalis' hologram disappeared, the Storm Queen was thinking.
THE STORM QUEEN:
Hmm. Something tells me that she will fail, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
DARKLIGHT STORM:
What shall we do, Your Majesty?
THE STORM QUEEN:
Nothing. Let Chrysalis do her part, and if she does fail, we must alert Queen Nova and the Guardians of Disharmony... that the humacorn is coming.
Location: Rock Valley
Charlie and his friends and family were walking through the mist, while Izzy Moonbow was singing about Charlie's birthday and dancing around her friends.
IZZY MOONBOW (Singing):
It's Charlie's birthday! It's Charlie's Birthday! It's Charlie Birthday!
Charlie looked fed up with Izzy Moonbow's singing and dancing.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
All right, Izzy. I know it's my birthday. You can stop now. I mean it. (Shouting): STOP IT!
Izzy Moonbow stopped singing and dancing while Charlie looked calm.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Thank you, Izzy.
Izzy Moonbow looked confused.
IZZY MOONBOW:
I thought you liked my singing.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I do. But you didn't have to keep singing It's Charlie's Birthday all the time. I mean you started singing that since we left Bridlewood!
Tempest Shadow smiled at Charlie.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Come on, Charlie. It's your birthday. You supposed to be happy.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I know, Tempest. But I will be happy once we get to Zephyr Heights.
Malcolm looked towards his niece.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
How far are we, Sunny?
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Not that far, Uncle Malcolm. I've already text Zipp and Pipp that we are on our way. So, they'll be waiting for us next to the elevator at the mountaintop.
Charlie and his friends and family stopped walking and looked up at the mountaintop. Grubber looked scared and shallowed hard.
GRUBBER (Gulped):
We going to climb up that mountain?
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Don't worry, Grubber. We can fly and carry you to the top. Some of us have wings, you know.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
I don't think we should climb or fly, Skystar.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Why not?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Because there's stairs are over there.
Everyone looked at the mountain staircase on the right that Tempest Shadow was pointing too. Grubber looked surprised.
GRUBBER:
Stairs? That's much worse!
Tempest Shadow moaned.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
This is why I kept telling you to go on a diet, Grubber.
Everyone went to the mountain staircase and walked up.
IZZY MOONBOW:
So, Charlie. If you're gonna be Michael Jackson's living legacy, does that mean you'll do everything that he did?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Not everything, Izzy. Just the singing, dancing and heal the world.
Sunny Starscout looked confused.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Heal the world?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
It's a song he wrote and it's about making a world a better place.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Your world.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Yes. That was his wish. After he passed away, his friends, family and fans are still working on it. If my world has magic, Michael Jackson's wish would've come true a long time ago.
Sunny Starscout understood her cousin.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
I understand, Charlie. That's what Princess Twilight did before the Storm Queen ruined it.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I know. But you brought friendship and magic back. Now it's our turn to find the Spirits of Harmony and bring ancient Equestria back.
Charlie looked at Starlight Glimmer's Cutie Mark on his right hand and tried to summon her by rubbing it.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Come on, Starlight. I really need you right now.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
I think she's still sad about what Darklight said to her.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Maybe she's worried about her son, Ben.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Yeah, that is possible.
Charlie looked sad.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Wish my mum was like that about me.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
Was she worried about you?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
No, I don't think so, Hitch. I thought she did, but... She's more worried about herself being the mayor of Equestrian Island. That's what she cares about.
Malcolm was worried about his son.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
Come on, Charlie boy. Don't let that ruin your birthday. You're supposed to be happy.
Charlie smiled a little bit.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Yeah, you're right, Dad. It's my day, and I'm going to make the best of it.
Everyone reached the top of the mountain.
GRUBBER:
Well, it was a long walk, but at least I'm okay.
Tempest Shadow didn't look happy.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
That's because you're on my back!
Grubber noticed he was sitting on Tempest Shadow's back.
GRUBBER:
Oh, right.
Grubber jumped off Tempest Shadow's back and took a look around.
GRUBBER:
Where's the elevator?
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
It's straight ahead. Follow me.
Everyone followed Sunny Starscout. At the elevator, Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals looked worried, while they were waiting for their friends.
ZIPP STORM:
Something's really off with our mum, Pipp. She always calls me Zephyrina, not Zippy.
PIPP PETALS:
I know. She never wanted to be seen in public. Sort of.
Zipp Storm was thinking.
ZIPP STORM:
Hmm. Yesterday she was normal, but now she has changed like somepony kidnapped her and took her appearance.
Pipp Petals looked shocked.
PIPP PETALS:
Is it possible?!
ZIPP STORM:
I don't know. But what I do know is...
Zipp Storm was interrupted by Sunny Starscout who was calling out to her and Pipp Petals.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Zipp! Pipp! Over here!
Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals looked happy when they saw their friends with Charlie, Malcolm, Princess Skystar, Tempest Shadow and Grubber at the distance.
PIPP PETALS:
Sunny!
ZIPP STORM:
You guys made it!
Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals ran towards Sunny Starscout and hugged her.
PIPP PETALS:
We're so glad you made it!
Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals let go of Sunny Starscout.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Sorry for keeping you waiting, but I would like you to meet my new friends and my family.
Zipp Storm looked confused.
ZIPP STORM:
Family?
Sunny Starscout introduced Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals to her new friends and family.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
My new friends. This is Skystar. She is a hippogriff and the Princess of Mount Aris. That's Tempest Shadow. She's a unicorn with a broken horn. But she still has her magic. And this is Grubber. He's a hedgehog and Tempest's sidekick. Now, my family. That's my uncle, Malcolm Equestrian. He's a human from another dimension. And this is his son and my cousin, Charlie Carvette Equestrian. He's more than human.
Charlie took his hat off and placed it on his chest.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Nice to meet you.
Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals looked surprised when they saw Charlie.
ZIPP STORM:
Oh, my gosh!
PIPP PETALS (Exciting):
It's you! You're the creature who sang and danced at Maretime Bay yesterday!
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
You know I've sang and danced at Maretime Bay?
PIPP PETALS:
Yes! I've watched you from my smartphone and the video has more than ten thousand viewers and the comments are very good! Look!
Pipp Petals showed Charlie the video of him dancing and singing Jam by Michael Jackson on her smartphone. Charlie read the video title.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
A Dancing Two-Legged Creature? Well, whoever filmed that didn't know I'm human.
Zipp Storm turned to Sunny Starscout.
ZIPP STORM:
Sunny, what do you mean, he's more human?
Sunny Starscout was about to explain, but Izzy Moonbow excitedly stood close to Zipp Storm.
IZZY MOONBOW (Exciting):
Charlie found Sunny's father secret study room underneath our house, then we discovered that her father is really a humacorn. His real name is Carvette and he's Charlie's grandfather! And that makes Charlie and Sunny humacorns too! Oh, and Malcolm is still human and he's Carvette's brother.
Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals looked surprised and confused.
ZIPP STORM:
Humacorns?
PIPP PETALS:
I thought they only existed in stories.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Well, it's all true, and we got proof. Let's show them, Charlie!
Charlie and Sunny Starscout magically changed into humacorns. Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals looked stunned.
ZIPP STORM:
No way!
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
How cool is that?
Pipp Petals looked at Charlie.
PIPP PETALS:
I can't believe it. Charlie looks... (Singalong): Gorgeous!
Zipp Storm looked at Sunny Starscout.
ZIPP STORM:
Sunny, you can change into a humacorn?
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Yes. Princess Luna told me that's is my true form and...
Zipp Storm interrupted Sunny Starscout.
ZIPP STORM:
Whoa, whoa, whoa! Luna? The ancient Princess of the Night?
IZZY MOONBOW:
Yeah! She's at Bridlewood. And her sister, Celestia is at Maretime Bay.
Pipp Petals looked surprised.
PIPP PETALS:
Celestia? The first ancient Princess of Equestria?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
That's right. She and Luna came to my world ten years ago and they taught me about your world after I...
Pipp Petals interrupted Charlie.
PIPP PETALS:
Okay, okay. Let's get to the elevator and you can explain to us on the way.
Malcolm saw the elevator behind Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals.
MALCOLM:
Is that the elevator?
ZIPP STORM:
Yes. It will take us straight up to the city.
Charlie and his friends and family followed Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals. They went inside the elevator, the doors closed behind them and it went up. Inside the elevator, Charlie and Sunny Starscout magically turned back into a human and an alicorn. Charlie put his hat back on his head, while Sunny Starscout, Izzy Moonbow and Hitch Trailblazer was having a conversation with Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals.
ZIPP STORM:
So, your dad disguised himself as an Earth pony, but he's really a humacorn?
PIPP PETALS:
And the Storm King is now the Storm Queen? I thought your dad defeated him. Or her.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
He did, Pipp. But Princess Twilight and her friends destroyed her.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Actually, I did.
The Mane 5 looked at Tempest Shadow.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
What? You did?
IZZY MOONBOW:
But it doesn't say that in Princess Twilight's book.
Tempest Shadow sighed deeply.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
That's because I asked her not to.
Sunny Starscout looked confused.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Why?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Because I'm no hero. Everypony I know said I am, but I don't feel like one. I've saved Twilight and destroyed the Storm King before he came back as the Storm Queen. I still remember the day the ursa minor broke my horn off, but when I saw its eyes, it was glowing green. I think it was a changeling. But I have changed, not completely.
The Mane 5 felt sorry for Tempest Shadow, until Grubber comforted her.
GRUBBER:
Tempest, I know it's very hard for you, but this isn't the day to bring this up. It's Charlie's birthday.
Tempest Shadow smiled at Grubber.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry, Grubber.
Zipp Storm turned to Sunny Starscout.
ZIPP STORM:
Wait. Charlie's birthday is today?
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Yes, it is.
Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals looked surprised and stood in front of Charlie.
PIPP PETALS:
Oh, Charlie. Happy Birthday!
Charlie smiled.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Thank you. I'm surprised you know my birthday.
PIPP PETALS:
Well, I am too. Anyway, I would like you to do something for me.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Like what?
PIPP PETALS:
When we get to the city, I want you to dance and sing the same way you did at Maretime Bay. So, I can film it for my Pippsqueak fans. But sing a different song. (Singalong): Please?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
You want me to dance and sing one of Michael Jackson's songs for your Pippsqueak fans?
PIPP PETALS:
I don't know who that is, but yes.
Charlie looked happy.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I can never say no to a princess. But the only princess I love is Skystar.
Princess Skystar looked bashful.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR (Bashfully):
Oh!
ZIPP STORM:
We understand, Charlie. We see the way she looks at you.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Thanks, Zipp.
The elevator stopped and the doors opened.
PIPP PETALS:
Well, we're here. Let's go.
Everyone left the elevator and arrived at Zephyr Heights.
