The two T.V hosts, Dazzle Feather and Skye Sliver were announcing the morning news.
DAZZLE FEATHER:
Good morning, Zephyr Heights. Today we have some exciting news. The myth of the legendary humacorn turns out to be real. Don't you think so, Skye?
SKYE SLIVER:
That's right, Dazzle. The legendary humacorn, Carvette Equestrian who saved Equestria over two thousand years ago has a grandson. He's name is Charlie and he's right outside the palace with Queen Haven and her daughters, Princess Zephyrina Storm and Princess Pipp.
DAZZLE FEATHER:
And we also see Sunny Starscout, Izzy Moonbow and Hitch Trailblazer are here too with some new friends. Tempest Shadow, Grubber and the Princess of Mount Aris, Skystar. I hear hippogriffs can changed into seaponies, Skye.
SKYE SLIVER:
Yes, they can, Dazzle. Oh, I can also see there's a human next to Charlie. His name is Malcolm and he is Charlie's dad, Sunny's uncle and Carvette's brother. Oh, and Carvette is Sunny's dad, and Sunny is Charlie's cousin. That's sounds very exciting, Dazzle.
DAZZLE FEATHER:
Very exciting indeed, Skye. And we just heard that today is Charlie's birthday and the Queen would like everypony to give him a big welcome.
DAZZLE FEATHER/SKYE SLIVER (Unison):
Happy Birthday, Charlie!
Location: The Royal Palace
Area: Outside the Front Door of the Palace
All the Pegasi were standing outside the palace, cheering and taking pictures of Charlie with their smartphones. Charlie, his friends and family, and Queen Chrysalis were waving to the public. Zipp Storm whispered to Tempest Shadow.
ZIPP STORM (Whispering):
How long do we have to keep this up?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
I told you, until tonight.
ZIPP STORM:
But I don't like everypony taking pictures of me. And it's very weird being with somepony that's not my mum.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Well, too bad, Princess. We need to go along with it, otherwise she'll find out we know.
PIPP PETALS:
She's right, Zipp. We need to keep this up.
ZIPP STORM:
And why is that?
PIPP PETALS:
Oh, I don't know. How about our rescue mission to save our mother? The real queen?
Queen Chrysalis stopped Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals from arguing with each other.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS (Queen Haven's Voice):
Enough! Zippy, this is Charlie's birthday. Now stand up straight and wave!
Zipp Storm sighed deeply.
ZIPP STORM:
At least she's good at acting.
Zipp Storm pretended to smile, while she was waving to the public.
Area: The City
Pipp Petals was filming Charlie and her Pippsqueaks fans with her smartphone. All the Pegasi were taking pictures of Charlie posing with Queen Chrysalis, Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals with their smartphones. Charlie magically changed into a humacorn and flew with Zipp Storm to the sky and did some stunts like barrel rolls and loop the loops. All the Pegasi, Malcolm, Sunny Starscout and their friends cheered for them, except Princess Skystar who looked worried when she saw Queen Chrysalis blow a kiss at Charlie. Tempest Shadow placed her left hoof on Princess Skystar's shoulder.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
All you all right, Skystar?
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
No, I'm not. I don't know how long I can go through with this. But if Chrysalis takes Charlie's love, he won't love me anymore.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Well, don't give up yet. I promise you I won't let that changeling harm Charlie and she'll get what she has done to me.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Is that why you don't want Charlie to give back your horn?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Yes. But I will explain later. Just smile for Charlie.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Okay.
Princess Skystar tried to smiled, but she looked sad, when she saw Charlie with Queen Chrysalis.
Location: The Royal Palace
Area: The Hall/Throne Room
That night all the Pegasi gathered around the throne. Tempest Shadow, Grubber, Princess Skystar, Malcolm and the Mane 5 were at the back row. Tempest Shadow turned to her friends.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
All right. Remember the plan. Queen Chrysalis is going to announce Charlie, and after his performance, we'll sneak out, while the Pegasi cheered for him.
Grubber looked confused.
GRUBBER:
But where are we gonna find Queen Haven?
Zipp Storm was thinking.
ZIPP STORM:
Maybe we should start at my secret hideout. The old abandoned station.
Sunny Starscout liked Zipp Storm's idea.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Yes! No pony goes there, except us and...
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Chrysalis. She knew that place is abandoned, so she can use it as a prison for Queen Haven.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
And that's where we're heading.
Princess Skystar turned to Malcolm.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Malcolm, what is Charlie going to sing at his performance?
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
He going to sing Heartbreaker by Michael Jackson. But that song has got nothing to do with you.
Pipp Petals looked confused.
PIPP PETALS:
Who is Michael Jackson?
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
He was the King of Pop.
Pipp Petals looked surprised.
PIPP PETALS:
The King of Pop?! Does he sing and dance?
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
Yes, but...
Pipp Petals interrupted Malcolm with excitement.
PIPP PETALS (Exciting):
Oh, he sounds so amazing! I can't wait to meet him!
Sunny Starscout calmed Pipp Petals down.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Actually, Pipp. He passed away a long time ago.
Pipp Petals looked sad.
PIPP PETALS:
Oh. I didn't know that. I'm sorry.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
That's okay. Everyone was sad when that happened. But his music will always live on.
Pipp Petals smiled a little bit.
PIPP PETALS:
Thanks, Malcolm. That does make me feel better. I might as well listen to his songs after we save mum and Charlie.
Princess Skystar smiled, while Izzy Moonbow saw Queen Chrysalis approaching the throne.
IZZY MOONBOW:
Guys, the fake queen is here!
Queen Chrysalis sat on the throne and addressed the Pegasi.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS (Queen Haven's Voice):
Thank you all for coming. Is everypony excited to see a great performance?
All the Pegasi cheered.
PEGASI (Unison):
YEAH!
QUEEN CHRYSALIS (Queen Haven's Voice):
Then I would like to you give a big hoof to the legendary humacorn's grandson, Charlie Carvette Equestrian!
All the Pegasi applauded when they saw Charlie in his human form approaching the centre of the room with two Pegasi back-up dancers. Charlie danced with the two Pegasi while singing Heartbreaker by Michael Jackson.
(Musical Sequence)
Princess Skystar looked worried, while she saw two Pegasi back-up dancers dancing with Charlie.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Are these Pegasi changelings?
PIPP PETALS:
No, they are my back-up dancers. They perform with me before we brought the magic back.
Tempest Shadow took a sniff.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
She's right, Skystar. They're not changelings.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
So, all the Pegasi don't know that's Queen Chrysalis.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
That's right.
At the end of song, Charlie did his Michael Jackson Pose with the two Pegasi back-up dancers and all the Pegasi applauded him. Tempest Shadow turned to her friends.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Okay, here's our chance. To the hall.
Malcolm, the Mane 5, Grubber and Princess Skystar quickly followed Tempest Shadow to the hall. In the hall where everything was quiet, Tempest Shadow turned to Zipp Storm.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Zipp, do you know where the old abandoned station is?
ZIPP STORM:
Yes, Tempest. Follow me.
Everyone followed Zipp Storm.
Area: The Old Abandoned Station (Zipp Storm's Secret Hideout)
In the station, Malcolm, the Mane 5 and the others were searching for Queen Haven.
PIPP PETALS:
So, Tempest. Do you know Princess Twilight?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Of course, I do. She helped me, Grubber, Skystar, Captain Celaeno, Capper and...
Zipp Storm looked surprised when she heard the conversation and rushed towards Tempest Shadow.
ZIPP STORM:
Wait! Captain Celaeno? The adventurous pirate? I love pirates!
TEMPEST SHADOW:
You do?
ZIPP STORM:
Yes! When I was little, I always dreamed about being a pirate. Finding treasure and fighting bad pirates. So, where is she now?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
She's at Maretime Bay repairing her airship.
Zipp Storm looked excited.
ZIPP STORM (Exciting):
Ohhh, I can't wait to see her and tell her I love pirates!
Hitch Trailblazer calmed Zipp Storm down.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
Calm down, Zipp. Remember, we need to find your mum and stop Chrysalis.
Zipp Storm rolled her eyes at Hitch Trailblazer.
ZIPP STORM:
Whatever you say, Sheriff.
Grubber stepped on some green slime on the floor.
GRUBBER (Disgust):
Ewww! I stepped on some snot!
Tempest Shadow took a sniff of the green slime that was on Grubber's foot.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
That's no snot. It's...
Pipp Petals, Zipp Storm, Grubber and Tempest Shadow looked up and saw Queen Haven wrapped inside the green slimy cocoon. Pipp Petals and Zipp Storm looked shocked.
PIPP PETALS:
Mum!
ZIPP STORM:
Guys, we found her!
Malcolm and the others joined up with their friends.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
What? Where is she?
Malcolm, his friends and family looked up and saw Queen Haven inside the cocoon.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
What happened to her?
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
She trapped her in a cocoon.
Izzy Moonbow looked happy.
IZZY MOONBOW:
Is she gonna turn into a butterfly?
Everyone looked at Izzy Moonbow and she realized she wasn't thinking right.
IZZY MOONBOW:
Oh, right. Only caterpillars.
Princess Skystar turned to Malcolm.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Malcolm. Has Chrysalis ever done this before?
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
She has. My son told me about it.
Pipp Petals looked sad.
PIPP PETALS:
Oh, mum.
Everyone saw Queen Haven moving slowly in the cocoon.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
She's moving.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
I'll get her down.
Sunny Starscout flew up to the cocoon and used her magic to cut loose the cocoon and levitated it down slowly to the floor. Malcolm used his hands to rip the cocoon open and grabbed Queen Haven out of it and placed her slowly down on the floor.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
Your Majesty. Are you okay?
Queen Haven opened her eyes slowly and saw Malcolm.
QUEEN HAVEN (Moaning):
You're... You're a human.
Malcolm looked surprised, while Queen Haven saw her two daughters.
QUEEN HAVEN:
Pipp? Zephyrina?
Pipp Petals and Zipp Storm looked happy and hugged their mum.
PIPP PETALS (Happily):
Mum! You're okay!
ZIPP STORM (Happily):
It really is you!
Tempest Shadow smiled when she saw Pipp Petals and Zipp Storm hugging their mum.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Of course, it's her. She doesn't have a scent of a changeling.
Queen Haven looked surprised as she let go of her daughters and got up from the floor.
QUEEN HAVEN:
A changeling? Wait! I've seen one before! Where is she?
Tempest Shadow walked up to Queen Haven.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Queen Haven. I'm Tempest Shadow. Please tell me what happened?
Queen Haven took a deep breath and exhaled.
QUEEN HAVEN:
All right. I'll tell you.
(Flashback Sequence)
Area: Queen Haven's Room
QUEEN HAVEN:
I was in my room brushing my mane, until Chrysalis, the Queen of Changelings appeared. She used her magic to changed her appearance into me and knocked me out cold.
(Present-Day Sequence)
Area: The Old Abandoned Station (Zipp Storm's Secret Hideout)
QUEEN HAVEN:
The last thing I remember I was in that green slimy cocoon! How long was I in that disgusting thing?
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Chrysalis trapped you there two days ago, Queen Haven.
Queen Haven looked surprised when she saw Sunny Starscout, Hitch Trailblazer and Izzy Moonbow.
QUEEN HAVEN:
Sunny? Hitch? Izzy? You're all here.
Queen Haven looked confused when she saw Malcolm, Grubber and Princess Skystar.
QUEEN HAVEN:
But who are those three?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
You're Majesty. This my sidekick, Grubber. That's Skystar. She's the Princess of Mount Aris. And this is Malcolm. He's a human from another dimension.
IZZY MOONBOW:
Where our world is just a movie and a T.V show!
Hitch Trailblazer calmed Izzy Moonbow.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
All right, let's not get to that part yet, Izzy.
Hitch Trailblazer turned to Queen Haven.
HITCH TRIALBLAZER:
Queen Haven, all the Pegasi in your city doesn't know Chrysalis took your place. They think she's you.
Queen Haven looked angry.
QUEEN HAVEN:
So, she didn't just take my appearance, she took my kingdom! That changeling must be stopped! Let's go!
Malcolm stopped Queen Haven.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
Wait a minute. I need to ask you something. How did you know I'm human?
Queen Haven looked a little worried.
QUEEN HAVEN:
Because I've seen three of them before. There was one mum and one dad. And they have a kid. A boy. They were with an alicorn, a unicorn and their daughter's an alicorn too.
Sunny Starscout and Malcolm looked curious.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
This alicorn's mother. Does she have a crystal heart Cutie Mark on her flank?
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
And that human kid. Does he say Apple Charlie?
QUEEN HAVEN:
Yes.
Sunny Starscout and Malcolm looked surprised.
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Oh, my stars! It's Princess Cadance! She's Celestia and Luna's adopted aunt. The unicorn is Shining Armor. He's her husband and Princess Twilight's brother. And their daughter is Flurry Heart and Princess Twilight's niece.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
And the human kid is my grandson, Solomon. That's means my daughter, Jewel and my son-in law, Steve is here too.
PIPP PETALS:
Wait. That little Pegasi called Charlie, Apple Charlie. Does that mean your grandson turned into a Pegasus?
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
I don't know. But we need to get to the bottom of this.
Princess Skystar was getting impatient.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
We don't have time! We have to save Charlie, before Chrysalis takes his love away!
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
Oh, she won't do that.
Princess Skystar looked confused at Malcolm.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
What?
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
Charlie knows it's Chrysalis in disguise. He was only acting, so she won't know that he knows. Besides, he can take care of himself.
Princess Skystar looked worried and Malcolm sighed.
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
But just to be sure, we should go rescue him.
Princess Skystar looked happy.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR (Happily):
Oh, thank you, Malcolm! Come on, everypony! Let's rescue my boyfriend!
While Princess Skystar was running to the door, Queen Haven looked confused.
QUEEN HAVEN:
What is going on? And who's Charlie?
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
Your Majesty. I'll explain on the way. Come on!
Everyone followed Princess Skystar and left the old abandoned station.
