Charlie and Queen Chrysalis were sitting at the table having dinner.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
You know, I'm surprised that you arranged a dinner for us in the throne room, Your Highness.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS (Queen Haven's Voice):
I just want your birthday to be perfect, my dear.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Well, I think it is perfect.
Queen Chrysalis pretended to smile and placed her hoof on Charlie's right hand.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS (Queen Haven's Voice):
Charlie, you're the most remarkable humacorn I have ever met.
Queen Chrysalis pretended to be sad.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS (Queen Haven's Voice):
But it's a shame we couldn't see your grandfather.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Oh, he's out there somewhere, waiting for me, my dad and Sunny. But let's not talk about that now. I wanna whisper something sweet and nothing in your ear.
Queen Chrysalis pretended to be happy.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS (Queen Haven's Voice):
Go ahead.
Charlie leaned closer to Queen Chrysalis and whispered to her left ear.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN (Whispering):
I know you're a changeling. And I know who you are, Chrysalis.
Queen Chrysalis looked surprised, while Charlie moved away from her and got up from his chair.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
You think I'm an idiot, don't you? You came to Zephyr Heights to take Queen Haven's place just because the Storm Queen told you I was coming. The Queen Haven I know will never call Zipp, Zippy. She calls her Zephyrina. But now it's just Zipp. And she never falls in love with me because she never met me. And your eyes are glowing green. You tried to take over Canterlot at Cadance's wedding. Starlight tried to offer you her friendship, but you refused. And you tried to destroy her and the Mane 6. Now you are here with me. You only wanted to make my birthday perfect, so you can take my...
In anger, Charlie pushed the table to the floor and all the plates broke.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN (Shouting):
LOVE AWAY! NOW YOU WANNA GET MAD?! COME ON, LET'S GET MAD!
Queen Chrysalis smiled evilly, got up from her chair and spoke in her normal voice.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
Tell me, Charlie. Do you know what is like to live without love?
Charlie looked surprised and confused.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
What?
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
I never wanted to embrace it. I just want to take it.
Queen Chrysalis charged at Charlie and pinned him to the wall. Charlie tried to break free, but he couldn't.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
The Storm Queen warned me that you're smart. Well, you won't be any more when I take your love away.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
You can take my love, but it will always come back.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
Not this time! With the new power she gave me, I'll take your humacorn powers and use it to rule all Equestria!
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
You never wanted to give it to the Storm Queen, did you?
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
And she'll never found out once I destroy you first.
Queen Chrysalis heard Starlight Glimmer's voice.
STARLIGHT GLIMMER (Shouting):
NO, YOU WON'T!
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
What?
A bright purple light appeared from Charlie's body and pushed Queen Chrysalis away and she fell to the floor. Queen Chrysalis got up and looked surprised when she saw Starlight Glimmer magically appear in front of Charlie.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
You!
STARLIGHT GLIMMER:
No one hurts my friend and the humacorn's grandson.
Charlie looked happily surprised when he saw Starlight Glimmer.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Starlight! You came back!
Starlight Glimmer turned to Charlie.
STARLIGHT GLIMMER:
Sorry I'm late, Charlie. But happy birthday.
Queen Chrysalis looked confused.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
But I thought the Storm Queen destroyed you.
Starlight Glimmer turned to Queen Chrysalis.
STARLIGHT GLIMMER:
Is that what she told you? I guess she isn't good at being honest.
Queen Chrysalis looked angry.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
At least I'll have my revenge!
Queen Chrysalis changed back into her changeling form.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
You've foiled my plans for the last time, Starlight! You let Thorax take my kingdom and you let your friends turn me into stone.
STARLIGHT GLIMMER:
Well, none of this would've happened if you didn't refuse my offer. You would've understood friendship if you embraced your love.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
I will never embrace my love. And no one is going to make me!
Charlie took his Equestrian sword out from his scabbard and pointed it at Queen Chrysalis.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I'm afraid we can, Chrysalis. By giving you our tough love!
Charlie and Starlight Glimmer charged at Queen Chrysalis and they began to fight. Starlight Glimmer used her magic laser at Queen Chrysalis, while Charlie used his sword to deflect Queen Chrysalis' magic. The Mane 5, Malcolm, Tempest Shadow, Grubber, Princess Skystar and Queen Haven arrived at the throne room and saw Charlie and Starlight Glimmer fighting off Queen Chrysalis. Princess Skystar looked happily surprised.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Charlie! He's okay!
MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:
I told you he can take care of himself.
HITCH TRAILBLAZER:
That's Queen Chrysalis?
SUNNY STARSCOUT:
She's the only evil changeling, Hitch.
IZZY MOONBOW:
So, that's what an evil changeling looks like.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
At least she revealed herself.
GRUBBER:
What are you gonna do, Tempest?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
This is personal, Grubber. Just watch and learn.
Tempest Shadow walked up to Queen Chrysalis.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Hey, Chrysalis!
Charlie, Starlight Glimmer and Queen Chrysalis stopped fighting and saw Tempest Shadow.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
You and I have unfinished business.
Queen Chrysalis smiled, when she recognised Tempest Shadow. So, she walked towards her.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
I remember you. You're that little filly who played the little ball with your friends when I was in my Ursa Minor disguise.
Tempest Shadow looked angry.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
You broke off my horn and my friends stopped playing with me because of you, until I reunited with one of them.
Queen Chrysalis pretended to be sad.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS (Mocking):
Oh, I'm so sorry. You must've felt so alone now that you're a broken unicorn. No pony likes you and your magic is weak, Fizzlepop Berrytwist.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
I'm Fizzlepop Berrytwist to my friends. But to you and the Storm Queen, it's Shadow. (Angrily): TEMPEST SHADOW!
Tempest Shadow charged at Queen Chrysalis, jumped high and spin-kicked her. Grubber looked impressed while he was watching.
GRUBBER:
Wow, Tempest! After a thousand years, you still got it!
Queen Chrysalis shot dark magic orbs from her horn, while Tempest Shadow used her fireworks spell at Queen Chrysalis who's been pushed away. Queen Chrysalis looked furious.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS (Angrily):
ENOUGH!
Queen Chrysalis used her levitation spell at Tempest Shadow and pulled her closer. Queen Chrysalis tried to absorb Tempest Shadow's love out of her body, but she looked surprised because nothing happened to Tempest Shadow.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
Huh? Why can't I take your love?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
The only thing I have is my anger, and that's the only thing I love!
Tempest Shadow broke free from the levitation spell, grabbed Queen Chrysalis' horn with her two hooves and broke it off before she landed on the floor. Queen Chrysalis screamed in pain, when she went down on her knees.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS (Screaming):
AAAARRRGGGHHH! MY HORN!
Starlight Glimmer looked shocked.
STARLIGHT GLIMMER:
Why did you do that, Tempest?
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Because Chrysalis is the Ursa Minor who broke my horn off. So, I did the same thing to her. Now she's a broken changeling.
Charlie looked impressed.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I'm impressed, Tempest. I guess you and Chrysalis are even now.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
That's right. You didn't think I was gonna destroy her, did you?
Charlie and Starlight Glimmer looked a little nervous.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN (Nervously):
Well, yes. But we glad you didn't.
Starlight Glimmer nodded her head in agreement, while Tempest Shadow smiled at her and Charlie.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Well, I'm glad you're being honest.
Two Pegasus guards entered the throne room.
PEGASUS GUARD #1:
What's going on? We heard somepony screaming.
The guards looked surprised when they saw Queen Haven.
PEGASUS GUARD #2:
Your Majesty! You're covered in green slime.
QUEEN HAVEN:
Guards! I am the real queen. That's changeling stole my kingdom and my personality!
The guards saw Queen Chrysalis tried to change into Queen Haven, but it didn't work. The guards looked shocked.
PEGASUS GUARD #1:
A changeling?!
Queen Haven gave an order to her guards.
QUEEN HAVEN:
Yes! Now, seize her!
When the guards were about to arrest Queen Chrysalis, she started to panic and beg.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
All right! I give up! You can arrest me and turn me into stone again! But grant me one last request. I want to learn about friendship. I mean I did refuse Starlight's offer, but I never want to do that again. Please help me. I beg of you.
Tempest Shadow looked suspicious at Queen Chrysalis, then she turned to the guards.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
Hold it, boys. I'll handle this one.
Tempest Shadow slowly walked up to Queen Chrysalis.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
You're sure you're ready to learn about friendship?
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
Yes, I'm sure.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
You do realize it means you can't take everypony's love and...
Queen Chrysalis interrupted Tempest Shadow.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
Yes, I know it means all of that. I'm beginning to understand what is like to be you. Please don't ruin my life the same way I did to yours.
Tempest Shadow noticed that tears were coming out of Queen Chrysalis' sad eyes. Starlight Glimmer looked scared.
STARLIGHT GLIMMER:
Tempest, don't listen to her!
Tempest Shadow leaned closer to Queen Chrysalis and took a big sniff on her face. Tempest Shadow didn't look happy and moved away from Queen Chrysalis.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
You are lying. You can fool me by being innocent, but not by your scent. You will never learn about friendship because you'll never change.
Queen Chrysalis looked angry and got up from the floor.
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
You didn't fall for the oldest trick in the book. I guess I went too far ruining your life. I still have the Crystal Empire, but you never stop the Storm Queen. Heed my words. The Guardians of Disharmony are waiting for you and your humacorn friend, and they're very powerful than my old foes.
Tempest Shadow looked surprised.
TEMPEST SHADOW:
You don't mean...
QUEEN CHRYSALIS:
Oh, I do. You're on my revenge list now, Fizzlepop! Until we meet again.
Queen Chrysalis laughed evilly, flew though the open stained-glass window and left Zephyr Heights. Everyone looked surprised.
STARLIGHT GLIMMER:
Now I see that changeling can't change.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
She's too evil, Starlight. She'll never change. Except you.
Starlight Glimmer smiled at Charlie.
STARLIGHT GLIMMER:
Thank you, Charlie.
Princess Skystar ran towards Charlie and hugged him happily.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR (Happily):
Charlie! Oh, Charlie, you're okay! Do you still love me?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Of course, I do, Skystar.
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
How'd you know that was Chrysalis?
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Because Queen Haven would never fall in love with me quickly because she never knew about me. She only loves her daughters. She loves attention and her pet Pomeranian, Cloudpuff.
Queen Haven smiled.
QUEEN HAVEN:
Yes, that's true. But wait. Where is Cloudpuff?
Queen Haven looked around the throne room for Cloudpuff.
QUEEN HAVEN:
Cloudpuff? Cloudpuff? (Singsong): Cloudpuuufff!
Cloudpuff came out from the throne and Queen Haven happily ran to him and picked him up.
QUEEN HAVEN:
Cloudpuff! Thank goodness you're, okay! Did that nasty changeling hurt my baby? No? Oh, good. Mummy will never let you out of her sight again.
Charlie smiled when he, Princess Skystar and Starlight Glimmer watched Queen Haven hugging Cloudpuff.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
See, I told you.
The little Pegasus and his parents came to the throne room. Then he happily ran towards Charlie, Princess Skystar and Starlight Glimmer.
SOLOMON CRYSTAL (Pegasus Form):
Apple Charlie!
PRINCESS SKYSTAR:
Oh, look, Charlie. It's your little fan again.
SOLOMON CRYSTAL (Pegasus Form):
Apple Charlie. It's me. Solomon.
Charlie looked confused.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
What?
Solomon took his magic necklace off and turned back into a human. Charlie looked surprised.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Solomon? My nephew?
Charlie turned to the mum and dad Pegasus, who took their magic necklace off and revealed themselves as his big sister, Jewel and his brother in-law, Mitch.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Jewel! Mitch!
JEWEL CRYSTAL:
Hello, little brother.
MITCH CRYSTAL:
Good to see you again, Charlie.
Charlie was happy to see the rest of his family.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
I can't believe it! But how did you three get to Equestria?
PRINCESS CADANCE:
I brought them here, Charlie.
Charlie looked surprised when he saw Cadenza, Steve and their daughter, Mary.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Cadenza? Steve? Mary?
SOLOMON CRYSTAL:
Apple Charlie. Watch this.
Solomon ran up to Cadenza and did the special chant and hoof-shake.
SOLOMON CRYSTAL/PRINCESS CADANCE (Chanting):
Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake!
Solomon and Cadenza hugged each other and Charlie looked shocked.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Wait a minute. It can't be.
Cadenza, Steve and Mary used their magic to reveal themselves as Princess Cadance, Shining Armor and Flurry Heart. Charlie, his dad, the Mane 5 and the rest gasped in amazement.
CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:
Cadance? Shining Armor? Flurry Heart?
PRINCESS CADANCE:
Surprise!
