It was chocolate day..
Abhijeet called Tarika, "Aj koi special day hai ? ", he was really excited.
" No chocolates for me. I am in a strict diet ", she replied plainly.
" Aain.. Yeh kya baat hui! Maine itne mushkil se yaad rakkha aur ap bol rahe ho chocolates hein nahi chahiye.. "
" Haan nhi chahiye.. "
" Tum ladkiyo ko samjh na kisike bas mai nahi.. Abhi tum pichle saal mujhpe itna baras rahe the Chocolate day kaise bhul gaya and all "
" Acchaa toh iseliye iss saal yaad kiya.. I see.. Reminder lagaya tha mobile par? ", she inquired.
" Ji.. "
" Calendar par bhi mark kiya hoga tumne.. Ghajni ke tarha seene mai nahi likkha? ", she teased him.
" Itna bhulakkad hoon kya mai? "
" Nahi ho? Toh yeh yaad nahi ki mai diet par hoon. Maine ussdin restaurant ka plan bhi toh cancel kiya tha.. "
" Toh mujhe kaise pata chalega ki ap abhibhi diet par ho. Apne bataya thodi "
" Sab bataya nahi jata samjhe ", she replied dramatically.
" Toh kya ap 14 th Feb ke plans bhi aise hein cancel karogey? ", he complained babyishly.
" Tum naa bohot bhole ho Abhijeet.. Hihihi "
" Kya matlab? "
" What do you think? Why am I planning diet? "
" Why ?"
" Because I want to look my best on the Valentine ", she replied huskily.
" My God! "
" Lash dekh liya kya! ", she giggled.
" I just can't wait for the day now ", he sung
" Areh ACP SIRR... ", she spoke out suddenly.
" Kidhar? ", he uttered in horror but in a very moment he heard her giggling.
" Haan haan udalo mazak "
" Aww.. accha suno naa ab mai rakhti hoon.. ACP sir ka toh pata nahi par Salunkhe Sir zarror aa chuke hai lab mai "
" Okay... Ek minute.. Ek minute, Tarika ji. "
" Ab kya? "
" Take care.. ", he spoke sweetly that melt her heart.
" You too ", she cut the call.
Later that day..
She returned home in the evening and found a parcel. It was from Abhijeet.
" Don't be a chocolate box.. Please donot ", she murmured and then stepped inside of the house. She then started unboxing it. There were chocolate boxes indeed not one but two.
" Yeh pichle saal ka bhi bhejha hai kya! Huh.. Relax Tarika.. You can do it.. Bas is box ko uthake kitchen mai rakh dena hai ", saying so consoled herself and placed those boxes in the kitchen cabinet and went to change.
After sometimes she thought to have some snacks and move towards the kitchen.
The moment she stepped inside the kitchen her eyes captured the delicious view.
" My dear Ferrero rocher.. I can't eat you.. I know what I have to do now ", she mumbled and then dialed his number.
" Helloo Tarika ji ", he received the call right after one ring.
" Hi, kahaan ho? "
" Mai toh ghar par hoon "
" Mere ghar aa jawo.. "
" Kya baat hai? Sab theek hai na? Tumhari awaz aisa kyun lag rahe "
" Kuch bhi sahi nahi hai.. ", she murmured.
" Aain? "
" TUMNE CHOCOLATE KYUN BHEJA HUH? ", she kind of yelled.
" Areh kamaal hai, gift milne par bhi gussa ata hai tumhe "
" Maine mana kiya tha naa ", she was furious.
" Actually maine yeh subah hein bejh diya tha. In fact yahi batane ke liye call kiya tha maine ", he explained.
" Jo bhi ho.. Mai kuch nahi janti. Tum jaldi se yaha awo aur apna chocolate ka dabba lekey jawo "
" Tarika ji, yeh gift toh apke liye hai. Mai kaise wapis le sakhta hoon.. ", he replied softly.
" Arghh... Aisa sochlo maine tumko gift kar diya "
" Aain! "
" Ajawo naaa tum ", she replied in a quavering tone.
" Accha accha mai adhe ghante mai pohonchta hoon "
" Hmm okk ", she pouted and cut the call.
She then made herself a coffee. Switching on the TV she sat on the couch.
Kiss me.. Close your eyes and miss me..
" Iss ad ko bhi abhi aana tha ", she changed the channel.
Suddenly a message popped, " Mere khabri ka call aya hai. It's urgent. Mai 1 hr tak aa jawunga lekin ". It was from him.
" One hour! ", she made a face but replied, " Fine "
" Sorry naa "
" I will wait for you ", she messaged back.
Ting ting tong..
The bell rang and she opened the door. Then without greeting him she went inside.
" Itna narrazgi sehat ke liye accha nahi hai ", he moved into the hall.
" Mai naraaz nahi hoon ", she uttered.
Pulling off his coat he rolled his sleeves up and then moved towards her. He softly secured her in his arms. Placing his chin on her shoulder he whispered, " I am so so sorry "
" 1 hour right! ", she complained.
" Woh baat karte karte late ho gya. Lekin ab mai aa gaya hoon na.. ", he uttered but she kept silent.
" Kahaan boxes kahaan rakkha hai tumne? ", once again he tried to drag her attention.
This time she took a glance at him and then pointed at the table. He made his way onwards where she quietly settled herself on the couch.
" Tarika.. Yeh dabbe toh khali hai " he showed her the empty boxes.
" Pata hai ", she replied coldly.
He moved closer to her. She was silently fidgeting her fingers.
" Tarika.. Kya tumne? ", he exclaimed in sudden realization. She looked directly into his eyes and suddenly grabbed him by collar
" You Senior Inspector Abhijeet.. Tum 2 ghante pehle nahi aa sakhte the? ", she was furious but to her surprise he started laughing.
" Hahaha Tarika.. Tumne sare chocolates kha liye "
" Hey, hasso mat tum.. ", she started hitting him playfully.
" Aww.. Come here ", he pulled her by arms.
" Mai kitna impatient hoon naa ", she whispered while melting on his arms.
" Bilkul bhi nahi.. Mere Tarika ji ki toh bohot patience hai ", he softly caressed her curls.
" Tumne mujhpe hassa ", she complained.
" Nahi nahi maine toh bas iss innocence ko enjoy kiya "
" Baatein banana toh koi tumse sikhe. Lekin mera diet ka toh.. "
" Koi naa kalse phir start kar lena. Par ek baat toh mai janta hoon "
" Woh kya? "
" You are always perfect for me "
Beep beep beep..
Suddenly his mobile buzzed making them apart from the warm embrace.
" Waoh.. What was that! ", she asked.
" Reminder of Teddy day "
" What! Haha You are impossible Abhijeet ", she giggled and he passed her a shy smile.
