A/N: Hey, everyone… So this story is connected to my first 'Hart to Hart' fanfic (It Only Takes A Moment, To Change Your Life). So you might want to read that before reading this. Anyways… I hope you all will like this first chapter.

Disclaimer: I don't own Sam Beckett, Al Calavicci, Jonathan Hart or Jennifer Hart. I'm just borrowing them.

The smell of rain and sound of thunder, filled the air. Like always, whenever he leapt, Sam Beckett had a confused look on his face. He had suddenly found himself, sitting in a small row boat, in the middle of a large pond, with a fishing pole in his hands. Next to his feet, was a small bucket of fish. He must have caught a few.

"Guess we better head back to the house," a voice interrupted Sam's thoughts. "The storm will be here, soon. I don't think we'll be catching anymore fish, today."

Sam looked over and sitting next to him, was a young thirty something year old man, with short dark brown hair, tanned skin and hazel eyes. The man was wearing a pair of blue jeans, with a blue and white striped long sleeved buttoned up shirt, and a pair of tanned boots. Sam then looked down at himself and saw that he was wearing a pair of blue jeans, with an orange tee-shirt and a pair of black and white tennis shoes.

"Yeah, I guess you're right," Sam said back to the man. He sat quietly, as the man rowed the boat back to dry land.

After making it back to dry land, Sam helped the man load the row boat onto a trailer, hooked up to the back of a large green pickup truck. After the boat was secure, Sam then helped the man place the bucket of fish, tackle box and fishing poles into the back of the pickup truck.

"Leo, I appreciate you coming out here and spending the weekend with me," the man said. "I know the country life isn't your ideal living situation. Hell, I used to think the same thing. I used to think that living so far away from the rest of society, would cause me to die of boredom. I was wrong. There is so much to do out here. And it's very peaceful, around here. Every morning, I watch the sunrise, and every evening, I watch the sunset. And I always wonder if Cassie's there with me, watching it, too," the man wiped away a tear.

"I'm sure she is," said Sam, wondering who Cassie was. Whoever she was, the man seemed to care very deeply about her. "And I think I could get use to this kind of living," he remembered the times, he and his family would go fishing, when he was younger. It was always a favorite pastime of his.

The man walked away for a moment and suddenly, Al appeared next to Sam. "There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you," he exclaimed.

"Al, who am I," Sam asked.

"Oh, nice to see you too, Sam," Al sarcastically said.

"Al," Sam hissed.

"Okay, okay," Al put his hands up in defense. "Calm down. I'll tell you who you are and where and when you are," he said as he looked at his handlink. "Your name is Leo Bailey. You're in Los Angeles, California, and it's May eighteenth, nineteen eighty-four."

"Why am I here," Sam asked.

Al once again, looked at his handlink. "You're here to stop your cousin, Colton Bailey from killing a pregnant woman and her unborn baby."

"He killed a pregnant woman and her unborn baby," Sam asked, shocked. "Why?"

"Because he was trying to commit suicide. Ever since his daughter, Cas…"

"Cassie," Sam interrupted Al.

"Yeah, how'd you know?"

"Colton mention her, earlier. What happened to her?"

"She was killed in a school bus accident, May eighteenth of nineteen eighty-three," Al read aloud from his handlink. "The bus driver, who had been sleep deprived, that morning, fell asleep at the wheel. He then veered off the road and rolled the bus down an embankment. Witnesses say they saw the bus roll at least eight times, before coming to a rest on its top. Twelve kids received major injuries, three, including the bus driver, received minor injuries. Cassie was the only fatality. And she was only five years old. Poor little girl. Her life ended too soon."

"He's planning on killing himself on the one year anniversary of his daughter's death," Sam suddenly realized. "Wait, how does the pregnant woman and her unborn baby factor into all this?"

"Well, tonight at 7:03 pm, Jonathan and Jennifer Hart will be… wait a minute! Sam, do you know who they are," Al trailed off from what he was saying at first. "Jonathan's a self made millionaire! And his wife, Jennifer… wow, she's really gorgeous!"

"Al, focus on the task, please," Sam was growing impatient.

"Okay, okay, calm down," Al said defensively. "Anyways, as I was saying, tonight at 7:03 pm, Jonathan and Jennifer Hart will be driving down a highway, on their way to a restaurant to celebrate their fifth year wedding anniversary. Jennifer has a surprise for Jonathan and wondering what the surprise is, he takes his eyes off the road for just a second. And that's when it happens. A large green truck, driven by Colton Bailey, veers into their lane and slams into their baby blue car, at a high speed rate. Jonathan survives with minor injuries. Colton survives his suicide attempt, but is left paralyzed from the neck down. And you already know about Jennifer and the unborn baby. Well, actually… Jennifer spends a week in a coma, before Jonathan makes the heartbreaking decision to let her go. The baby dies, the evening of the tragedy."

Sam looked at his watch. "Al, it's 6:05, right now," he said. "I have less than an hour to stop Colton."

"You better hurry, Sam."
