Water covered Kyuseishu Gisei as he ran from his three attackers. "I've gotta lose them." He felt his footing break multiple times as he ran through the muddy alleyways on the outskirts of Downtown Musutafu. "Curse that rain!"

"Don't let it get away!" shouted one of his assailants to the others. "I'm going to try something!" He soon turned back and ran towards the main street.

"Where's he going?!" asked one of the two towards the other.

"Who knows? Just focus on the mission, idiot!"

"Tsk!" The two continued to chase after the man, hoping to drive him out into the main street to expose him for what he is. "You have it, right?!"

"Yeah!" shouted the bigger man, sliding his robe over to reveal a round object tucked away in an elegant brown and gold pouch. "We're good to go!"

Kyuseishu was running out of time as he would soon be too tired to carry on. "I'll live! I've got to live!" he exclaimed, his hand gripping his jacket pocket.

"Get back here, nerd!" shouted Katsumi Bakugou as she ran after her childhood friend turned frenemy, Izuku Midoriya. She had the boy in her sights, chasing the middle-schooler down the streets of Downtown Musutafu.

She watched as the green-haired teen, clad in his all-black middle school uniform darted around a corner. She quickly sped after him, turning the corner as fast as she could, running face-first into a man in a white robe.

"Move, extra!" she yelled, looking around the man. Her target was gone. "Damn it!"

"I'm sorry, miss," said the man. "I'm on important Angel business so I'm in quite a hurry. But if you were after that boy, he went that way!" yelled the man, pointing into a darkened alley. She watched as the man took off into a nearby shop. Her eyes were drawn to the medallion that hung from his neck. It was a golden roman numeral for the number seven.

"'Angel?'" she wondered. "Does that mean that there's a devil around?" The girl scoffed as she followed the man's directions into the alley. "Damn that Deku!"

Kyuseishu spat out blood as the two men kicked and punched him over and over again on the ground. "Die, you bastard!" shouted one of the men. "How many times are you going to try and get back up?!"

The man had attempted to get up after each blow. His mind was not focused on the attackers, only surviving, and he had made a promise to never harm another person for the sake of himself, even if that meant death.

"Hey!" shouted a voice from behind the two men. "What are you doing?!" The two of them turned to see a green-haired boy sprinting towards them. The closer one to the boy dodged just in time to avoid the powerless punch attempt, swiftly kicking the boy in the stomach sending him tumbling backward.

"Bastard!" shouted the man, mounting the boy and punching him over and over, just as he did with Kyuseishu. However, unlike with the former, the man's fist began to glow red, then yellow, then white as the air around it grew scorching hot.

"Who the hell does this kid think he is?" asked the further man. He laughed as his eyes lit up green and yellow. Suddenly, his face grew serious. "Stop it!" he yelled, watching as the man's fist inches from the boy's face.

"What?!" growled the man. "This bastard has it coming!"

"He's quirkless!"

The man's fist cooled instantly. "Tsk!" he huffed, slamming the boy towards the ground as he got off. "Get the hell out of here, bastard." He turned his back to the boy as he approached Kyuseishu with an all-new enraged temper.

The boy got up and ran back the way he came. "Ha!" laughed the man. "What a loser." He then turned to look at Kyuseishu, his brow furrowed as a manic smile crossed his face, his hands once again burning up. "Die." Before he could approach the man, he felt something slam into the back of his head.

Turning around, he saw the boy who had just run away standing there with a rock in his hands. He was stunned as he reached to rub the spot the boy had hit. Blood. The man said nothing as he charged him, the smile gone from his face.

"Stop!" shouted the other robed man but it was too late, the man was already in front of the quirkless boy.

Dust was kicked up by the impact of the man's fist and his target. However, as the small cloud cleared, it was revealed that the man had not hit the boy; he had hit Kyuseishu directly in the face.

"That doesn't hurt," he said.

"Promise me, you won't hurt anyone!"

"Then, promise me that you won't hurt anyone... unless they're going to hurt someone else!"

"I promise, sweetie."

"Tsk!" groaned the man. "You damn devil."

After the rise of quirks 200 years ago, another strange mutation appeared within the flora of the world. Strange fruits began to appear with a spiral-like pattern on them. These fruits gifted the people who consumed them powerful abilities that rivaled those with natural-born quirks.

Because of this power struggle, tensions arose between people with quirks and people who had eaten these "God Fruits," that they were labeled at the time. However, the other side referred to the fruits as "Devil Fruits," mostly to make fun of the other side's name for them, although it was noticed that the fruits seemed to have some sort of change on the person's entire character as a whole. For instance, someone who had eaten a fruit that controlled fire would notice that they are very stubborn in their desires and become more ambitious to chase after their goals.

Tensions continued to rise as people committed violent hate crimes in the name of "purification." Then came the War of Thirds. The War of Thirds involved the entire world's population as they competed for their place in the power hierarchy.

The War of the Thirds contained three main groups: "The Quirkless, The Quirked, and The Devils." The Quirked were quick to offer support to the Quirkless knowing that they were more mentally gifted to make up for the lack of physical power. Although the Devils were the most powerful group, they were soon overpowered by the conjoined forces of the Quirked and Quirkless and soon lost the war.

Ostracized from the world, the Devils went into hiding and their numbers lowered from a third of the world's population to less than five percent. After peace returned to the world, the Quirked and Quirkless formed what became known as the International "Angel" Society, a worldwide agency that hunted down devils and "purified" them.

However, as time passed and the world moved on, the International Angel Society was deemed unnecessary by the later generations after the Hero occupation formation and was soon disbanded. Some fanatics remained from the original Society, moving on to establish their own, smaller societies in their respective countries.

Although the Angel Society was deemed unnecessary, the worldwide hatred towards devils remained, causing them to remain in hiding and to remain the victims of countless hate crimes. Society views Devils as less than human, so they have no qualms with the unjustified killing of them. They referred to it as "shooting a raccoon that had invaded your property."

"You did a good job, kid. I'll take it from here," said Kyuseishu, standing protectively in front of the boy. "As for you…," he began, looking at the man with the burning fists. "Gomu Gomu no…!" The three men watched Kyuseishu hold his shoulder as he wound his arm back.

"'Gomu Gomu?'" wondered the boy, his heart-stopping for a moment. "Like the Devil Fruit?!"

"...Pistol!" shouted Kyuseishu, sending his fist forwards and into the man's face. The force behind the bunch was incredible, sending the man flying backward into one of the alleyway's brick walls, knocking him out in one punch.

"WOAH!" shouted the boy in awe.

Kyuseishu turned to face his spectator. "That's the power of momentum, cool, isn't it?" The boy nodded. Kyuseishu laughed, "The name's Kyuseishu D. Gisei, nice to meet you, kid."

"'D.?'" asked the boy. "That's funny."

"Why's that?"

"Shit!" exclaimed the other robed man. "He was my only line of defense! Now what?!"

He watched the devil exchange words with the boy before his eyes drifted upwards, watching as a winged figure fell behind the devil with what appeared to be a spear-like weapon. The spear penetrated through Kyuseishu's shoulder and with the amount of blood, most likely his heart.

Izuku fell to his knees as he watched blood pour from the man's mouth. The winged man tore the spear from Kyuseishu's neck, placing his foot on the body to aid himself. Because of this, Kyuseishu's body fell onto Izuku's shoulder.

He could hear the man whisper something in his ear. He was dead in an instant.

"That takes care of that," said the winged man. He turned away from Izuku and Kyuseishu and walked over to the man buried deep within the brick wall. "Come on, let's go and return this… where it… belongs? WHAT!? Where is it?!"

Before anyone could utter an answer, the sound of crunching came from behind. They turned just in time to see Izuku standing up, a half-eaten Gomu Gomu no Mi in hand. In his other hand was a scrunched brown and gold ornate pouch.

The winged man quickly lunged at Izuku with the spear, hitting him through the shoulder. Izuku grabbed the spear. Unflinching, he looked the man in his eyes. "Gomu Gomu no…" he began, mimicking his savior. "...Pistol!" he shouted, punching the man to the ground. However, the man did not pass out on impact as the other did.

"You think you can master a power like that within two seconds?!" asked the winged man, instantly recovering from the attack. "Die," he said, pulling the spear out and preparing to shove it into Izuku's heart.

However, before he could, Izuku had trapped the man's arms by wrapping his limbs around him. "I can't move!" he exclaimed.

The bloodied Izuku growled in a mixture of pain and determination as he stretched his neck as far as he could.

"That's the power of momentum..."

"Just a little further," he told himself. Never having broken eye contact, Izuku stared the man down. His neck had reached its limit. "Gomu Gomu no…!" His head shot forward at almost 80 mph, slamming into his attacker's forehead. "Bell!"

The impact resounded throughout the opening, it was as if someone had rung a massive bell. Silence followed as the man was knocked unconscious. Izuku had unwrapped himself from the man's limbs.

Izuku stood tall, victory written across his chest and defeat written across his back. He looked towards his savior. "I'm sorry... Kyuseishu D. Gisei..." With that, Izuku had fallen face forward onto the ground, passed out.

"Ha… Ha HAHA!" laughed the final man standing. "Now's my chance!" The Angel ran forward, grabbing up the fallen angel's spear. "Die! Devil!" he yelled, lunging the spear towards the boy.

A massive explosion rippled throughout the scene, sending the man stumbling backward. "What the hell?!" he exclaimed. The smoke cleared, revealing a ballistic-looking female.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" she growled, explosions rippling from her palms as she stood protectively in front of Izuku.
