Chapter 12

Amphibia Part 3

As they looked into the distance, Molly and Libby found hundreds of robots and Heartless ready to fight them and the rest of Wartwood's citizens. It was going to be a tough fight, but as long as Molly and Libby stuck together, they knew that they could get through anything.

It wasn't long before Anne was reunited with the rest of her friends. Relieved that they were safe, Anne hugged her friends and family before they hugged her back.

"We're glad that you are all safe! I hope you haven't gotten into too much trouble." Hop Pop hoped.

"Well, our mission was kind of unexpected when we had to fight a giant spider." Sprig explained.

"What? You guys were able to take down a giant spider? Jealous!" Polly wished she could have been there to see them take down that Heartless.

"Glad to see that you are all alright! Now all we have to do is sneak into the castle, but that's easier said than done with these guys around." Sasha pointed to the hundreds of robots and Heartless in front of the castle.

It was at that point when Molly and Libby thought of an idea.

"Sasha, how about Libby and I join the citizens and help them defeat Andrias' army?" Molly suggested.

"If Molly and I can distract them long enough, you can get in the castle!" Libby explained.

Sasha thought about their plan before deciding to go through with it. "Thanks, you two! That should give us plenty of time to sneak in!"

Grime nodded in agreement. "As much as I would like to be on the battlefield myself, I suppose I should let you two handle this."

"Molly. Libby. Good luck!" Anne wished her friends luck.

"Thanks, Anne!" Molly and Libby waved goodbye to their friends before they put their plan into action.

As Molly and Libby joined the army, they summoned their keyblades, ready for their fight with the Heartless and robots. Everyone soon charged into battle as they clashed with their enemies.

Molly and Libby stood by each other's side the whole time, both of protecting each other with their keyblades. They swung the keyblades at the Heartless while using lightning spells on the robots, causing them to malfunction. Throughout the battle, Molly and Libby helped out any citizens who appeared injured and kept everyone from being overwhelmed by the onslaught of monsters.

Just when it seemed like the army of monsters and robots were diminishing, Molly and Libby looked up and realized that King Andrias, himself was looking down from his castle. He jumped down from the castle, ready to join in on the battle.

It was at that moment when Molly and Libby stared at the newt king in shock, neither of them expecting him to be so gigantic. As he towered above the army, Andrias took out what appeared to be some kind of flame sword.

"Well, don't stop on my account!" Andrias taunted as he got ready to fight as well.

Knowing that this fight just got a lot more difficult, Molly and Libby fought through the Heartless and robots once more to make it to King Andrias. Before long, Andrias took notice of the girls, surprised to see more humans.

"Ah, more of Anne's human friends, I presume!" Andrias guessed as he raised his sword. "I have seen you two fighting from my castle. I have to admit, you two are pretty good fighters, but this is where your journey comes to an end!"

"Why are you doing this?" Libby yelled. "Why do we need to have this war? We have so many friends in that army!"

"You just don't get it, do you? I come from a family of feared conquerers!" Andrias explained. "This war was inevitable, and I don't care what happens to your friends!"

"That's horrible!" Molly yelled back. "Don't you have any friends you care about?"

Molly's question caused Andrias to hesitate as he suddenly had a look of remorse on his face. He looked as though he was recalling a painful memory from his past. His soft expression soon turned to a scowl as he tightened his grip on his sword.

"That is none of your concern! I've had enough of this conversation! Prepare yourselves!"

It was at that point when Molly and Libby knew that they couldn't get through to Andrias, so they raised their keyblades the moment Andrias charged towards them. The moment Andrias swung his sword, Molly and Libby dodged before countering with attacks of their own. Considering how enormous Andrias was, their strikes didn't do much damage. They then tried using magic on him instead, but he didn't even flinch.

At this point, all Molly and Libby could do was block Andrias' sword strikes with their keyblades. It wasn't long before Libby was caught off guard when she got knocked back by the sword.

"Libby!" Molly gasped before rushing over to Libby's aid. She was shocked to find Libby covered in burns and bruises from the impact of the sword. "Libby, are you okay?"

"I-I don't know." Libby struggled to get up, but felt too weak to even stand.

Furious, Molly glared at Andrias in pure anger for hurting Libby.

"Well, I'd say that you two put up a good fight against me, but I'm not that good of an actor!" Andrias mocked as he got ready to finish off Molly and Libby.

Thinking fast, Molly countered the sword with her keyblade as both weapons clashed with one another. This ended up catching Andrias by surprise. Despite how enormous the sword was, Molly knew that she couldn't give up now. After all, Libby was in danger. Molly didn't care how strong Andrias was. She was determined to protect her girlfriend by any means. The struggle went on for awhile before Molly managed to hit the sword out of Andrias' grip.

"What?" Andrias gasped in shock by this unexpected turn of events.

Seeing her chance, Molly jumped up towards Andrias, ready to unleash all her rage and anger on him.

"Nobody hurts Libby!" Molly yelled slashing her keyblade at the newt king's face.

The impact of Molly's strikes caused Andrias to stumble back, dazed and confused. With Andrias, momentarily distracted, Molly took this opportunity to help Libby.

"Heal!" Molly chanted, casting a spell that healed Libby of her wounds. "How are you feeling, Libby"

In response, Libby stood up from the ground. "I'm feeling much better! Thank you, Molly!"

After recovering from the attack, Andrias got back up and picked up his sword once again.

"I see that you two still have some fight left in you, but I'm afraid that you are too late! Just look up there!" Andrias pointed to his castle.

As they looked up at the castle, they gasped in shock by what they saw. Their friends have all been captured as they were all trapped in the mechanical arms of a mysterious entity.

"No!" Molly and Libby reached their hands out in vain for their friends.

Upon taking a closer look, they noticed that the arms were being controlled by a human, who they assumed was Marcy. Marcy had a helmet on her head as she was being controlled by an entity known as, the Core.

With no reason left to fight, Andrias returned to his castle to join mind controlled human, now known as, Darcy.

"Frogs, toads, and newts of the Resistance! Your leaders have been captured! Your rebellion is now over!" Darcy announced before walking back in the castle with her captives.

Desperate to save their friends, Molly and Libby hurried over to the castle, but it was too late. A portal appeared before the castle entered it and disappeared.

Molly and Libby couldn't believe what just happened. They just lost the battle and more Heartless began to close in on them.

"What are we going to do, Molly?' Libby started to panic.

Normally, Molly would have the answer, but she was starting to lose hope too. "I-I don't know."
