Early 2022.
At Gosha's farm, chairs were gathered around the cherry blossom tree, situated at the top of a hill along the dirt road to Gosha's house. Legoshi's father, Miyagi and a male gazelle, wearing black stood in front of the tree. Standing in front of them were Legoshi, wearing a black tuxedo, and Louis, wearing a white tuxedo, both smiling, paying attention to the gazelle as he began to speak.
"Dearly beloved." he said. "We are gathered here today to celebrate the love and merging of Louis Redeer and Legoshi Graywolf, who came here as two individuals, but will leave here today as one. Before we continue, Mr. Graywolf has some words he would like to say, so I shall leave him to that."
Legoshi turns to Louis, who then looks at him.
"I actually had this stuff wrote down..." Legoshi said and chuckled nervously. "I knew exactly what I wanted to say, but... I thought I would speak from the bottom of my heart..." he said and took a moment.
Louis chuckled.
"Louis..." Legoshi began. "Ever since the moment we met, I knew we had something... It didn't take me very long to find out it was a wonderful thing called love." he said and smiled. "I was such an odd wolf when we first met, and I suppose in some ways, I still am... Louis, you not only helped me crack my shell, but broke it open like a hammer through a windshield... I wouldn't be the man I was today without you. You're the love of my life and I would die for you in an instant."
Louis smiled and spoke.
"I haven't had a lot of chances to love a lot of people in my life." he said. "When we met, I was a selfish, cold deer. I was honestly afraid I would screw it up with you... Fair enough, I wasn't perfect... But you were there for me... You accepted me as I was... Even when everyone else turned their backs on me... You were my rock... someone to lean on... And I don't want to spend the rest of my life wondering what could've been. I love you, Legoshi Graywolf."
Legoshi smiles, with tears in his eyes.
"I love you too." he said.
"At this time, I would like to ask that if anyone has any reason why these two should not be together, speak now or forever hold your peace." said the gazelle.
After a brief moment of silence, he spoke again.
"With that out of the way, I would like us to begin the ring ceremony." he said. "Do you have the rings?"
Louis and Legoshi then got the rings out of their pockets. Legoshi smiled as he looked into Louis's eyes, as he put the ring on Louis's finger. Louis then looks back into his eyes with the same smile as he put a ring on Legoshi's finger.
"I now pronounce you husbands." said the gazelle. "You may now kiss."
With that, Legoshi put his arms around Louis's waist and Louis put his arms around Legoshi's neck as they kissed passionately to thunderous applause.
Later, at night, the group was at Gosha's house, under a roofed area built for the occasion, with lights strung from the ceiling and up the supports. Up on stage under this structure was the golden retriever, Jack, Legoshi's best friend.
"Lougoshi..." said Jack, speaking into a microphone. "That has interesting sound to it. What's even more interesting is how the hell these two got THIS far."
Louis and Legoshi chuckled.
"For the entire time I've known Legoshi he was always like..." he began and started imitating Legoshi's voice. "Umm... Uh... Hi... Uh... I... uh... like... uh... your... uh... eyes?" he said and moved his hands a lot.
The whole bunch were laughing, with Louis and Legoshi laughing the hardest.
"And then there's Louis..." said Jack. "Honestly, I would try to roast him, but I don't wanna have to spend all my time on the thawing I have to do beforehand."
Louis was blushing as he laughed with the rest of the crew.
"But seriously, folks." said Jack. "If you knew Louis even the slightest, you would know he loves to jump through hoops." he said and imitated him. "I don't believe I've told you this before, Legoshi, but I am gay for you... Also, I'm supposed to be dating herbivores, so don't tell anyone."
The group continued on laughing all throughout the roast.
Some time had passed and now, they were slow dancing, to the song that reminded them most of each other. It was the song that Legoshi sang the day they revealed their feelings toward each other, Slow Dancing in the Dark by Joji.
"Your friend's really good at keeping the party from being boring." said Louis.
"Yeah, he's always kinda been a little goofy." said Legoshi with a chuckle.
"This all feels like a dream." said Louis and smiled, looking deep into Legoshi's eyes.
"It does." said Legoshi. "But the nice thing is when we open our eyes, we'll still be right here in each others' arms."
"I'll never let you go again." said Louis. "I love you, baby."
"I love you too, sweetheart." said Legoshi and they kissed passionately as they continued to dance...
