Short Chapter!

The scenery had drastically changed. Trees that grew out of the sidewalk, lessen. Slowly turning into an urban jungle. The Grouped stopped at a Backstreet entrance.

The area was oddly busy with both people and businesses. To the left, were several apartment buildings with pedestrians loitering around. To the right, they spotted a sign for several businesses: a public bath, a batting cage, a movie theater, also a small thrift store as well. None of these were particularly busy from what they could see, but the people that were here seemed to frequent the area.

"Hey, kid. It's been a while hasn't it." A gruffer voice disrupted the group's scenery. They turned left to see an officer approaching them. "I remember when you use to be a little worrywart back in the day."

Jiro whispered, "Whose's he talking to?" The group instantly looked at Midoryia.

"The plain-looking one in the back." The officer said, pointing down the middle of the group. They followed the point until it landed on the Local resident. Ren.

"Ren you know him?" Itsuka whispered to him.

Ren fakes a cough, before walking forward. "It's good to see you again, Officer." he does a half-bow in respect. The officer looked him up and down. "Geez, kid you really did grow up. You use to reach this high before." The Officer emphasized this by stopping at his waist point.

"I wasn't that short…" he deadpanned, the Officer breaking into a short hearty laugh.

"Haha…Well, don't let me hold you and your friends up." The Officer tips his hat and turns to leave…until.

"Wait!" Uraraka shouts, The Officer turns, "Yes, Little Miss?"

"Oh, uh…we're trying to find LeBlanc. Can you help us get there please?" The officer raised a brow, and also made a confused face at Ren.

"Why don't you ask this young man miss, he stays there." He gestured at Ren. "But Anways, Just go straight down, it'll be on your left. You can't miss it." pointing down one of the closer alleyways with his thumb. "Well stay safe Kids," he said before walking away.

Ren sighed, before rubbing the back of his neck, "Well…just follow me."

"By the way," Sato said, while they were approaching LeBlanc, "Why do you live there anyway? Shouldn't you be living at your parent's house?"

Ren shrugged. He never really questioned it, he was already being a burden to Sojiro at the time, so he didn't push. Besides he likes the Attic, the Attic was his Fortress of Solitude.

"Over there! It's the cafe!" Uraraka pointed out the peppermint-colored awning with the shop's logo, 'Coffee and Curry: Leblanc', hung over the entrance, illuminated by the same red light bulb from all those years ago.

"Come one you guys!" Uraraka said as she cheerfully pointed at the sign that was upfront, "The sign says it's open!"

As the group was getting nearer, Jiro stopped, "Hey guys, look over there. It's Todoroki."

Todoroki…?

Ren raked his brain over to figure out who it was but couldn't, so he followed Jiro's gaze to a white and red-haired individual wearing the uniform of U.A. He recognized him now – it was hard not to with such unique colored hair – he had placed just below him on the assessment board. Todoroki was just standing in front of the door pondering if he should enter the estranged cafe.

"Really?" Uraraka parroted.

Once she saw him, she beamed and made her way over to him, ignoring Iida's asking what she was doing. "Hello, Todoroki-san!"

She stopped on the side of him, prompting him to do so as well with an ever so slightly surprised expression. "I'm Uraraka Ochaco, your classmate! Are you here for the cafe too!?"

Uraraka had her finger pointing to Todoroki's breast pocket, noticing a similar coupon.

The teen followed her gaze and nodded. He didn't regard her with a verbal answer, but she didn't seem to care and took what she could get. "Great! We can all hang out together!"

Todoroki grimaced slightly and shook his head, his message was not conveyed clearly. "I don't want to intrude. Your group seems large enough already…" He trailed off as he glanced towards the cafe.

"It's no problem, right guys!?" She shouted.

"R-right!" Midoriya stuttered.

"I do not see an issue," Iida stated, "In fact, it would be a grand opportunity to learn more about you, Todoroki-san."

Todoroki seemed to be visibly frustrated but nodded anyway. "Fine then. I'll only be here for a few minutes so I'll be out of your hair soon. "

"No problem, no problem!" Uraraka seemed to nod at the comment. They had wasted enough time outside the shop that it would probably count as loitering.

The group pushed their way into the cafe, feeling the sudden change in atmosphere as the heat faded into cool air-conditioning.

They took in the cozy atmosphere of the café while Sojiro organized his containers of coffee beans. The old man was always finding some way to keep himself preoccupied. In managing a restaurant in its downtime, he had to. Ren stood at the back by the door, nervously watching the lot of them. He'd much rather be dealing with shadows or the Reaper than dealing with this. Too close to home for comfort. Literally. They were inside his home.

"Mm, what a nice smell," Itsuka cooed as she took it all in. The Gingerhaired girl was a sucker for a nice café. Coffee, sweets, it was all the quickest way to her heart. Her enjoyment of the atmosphere brought some peace of mind to Ren.

Funny...that was the same thing Nejire said too the first time…Dammit writer stop reusing lines…!

"This place looks outdated," Sato admitted, quickly dispelling the sliver of comfort Itsuka had brought Ren. "I can't say I hate it though." The spiky-haired youth shot him a look before glancing over to the store owner, standing right behind the counter and he was criticizing the décor while he was standing right before them.

"People refer to that as "retro", I believe," Iida commented. He was thankful that at least Iida had an appreciation for aesthetics. Sure, it wasn't the most up-to-date like brand chains and things like that. But Leblanc had a charm to it, and Ren didn't just believe that because he had lived within its walls for years.

"Hmm?" Sojiro finally snapped out of whatever daydream he was lost in and turned to see them hearing the unfamiliar voices. He looked them over with confusion behind his glasses. Teenagers were a highly rare sight in LeBlanc. His usual customer base was middle-aged office workers and elderly couples; with the occasional visit from the doctor down the street or a young adult with a law degree. But not teenagers. Needless to say, the old man was perplexed.

"Who're they?" he asked a bit on the gruff side, shifting his sharp gaze to Ren.

(A/N: Sojiro hasn't seen Mirio and Amajiki come by. He's only seen Nejire come by. Bakugo, and Midoryia also.)

"Hello!" Itsuka piped up. Sojiro turned to the Ginger girl who waved at him with an ounce of pep in her step and sugar in her smile. He glanced at her and Ren, blinking. This had managed to catch him even more off-guard. 'Another one…!?'

Sojiro did a double-take at her, then noticed more females in the group. "Couple of girls too?"

"Mm-hmm! We're Ren's classmates," Itsuka answered, with a friendly smile. The old man's gaze drifted back to Ren, staring at him with a raised eyebrow. Ren felt a slight sweat build up on the back of his neck like Sojiro had him lined up against the wall with a spotlight shining on him. Eventually, the store owner cracked a wry smirk.

His demeanor shifted to a more relaxed position. "This guy needs all the help he can get, you know. A real big troublemaker I tell you." His playful ribbing got the group chuckling, while Ren let out a nervous laugh as he remained at the back.

Sojiro studied the group in his Cafe. The tall guy looked well-groomed, studious, and knowledgeable. The buff one had what looked like pineapple hair and big lips. The one kid that was just standing outside the door for some time had peppermint hair and monochromatic eyes. There was also Inko's kid, here, Izuku.

And well the girls: The one with short brown hair and pink blush marks on her cheeks looked adorable, also the one with short purple hair, and earphone jacks looked like the rocker type.

Finally, the bright ginger hair one was …well she was absolutely gorgeous and gave off a studious feel. How on earth did these girls end up hanging around these guys? Though he mentally cheered for Ren, besides teaching that brat all about coffee and curry, he also taught him all about the ladies. 'He's finally putting my teaching to work…!'

"We're here for the 75% discount," Uraraka stated, speaking up. Pulled out the golden coupon ticket.

Sojiro raised a brow at her. Ah, so that was the reason. "Oh? Can see it real quick?" she nods, handing the ticket to him. He examines the ticket, holding it between his index and thumb, he narrows his eyes on the fine print." Mm…" he hums.

"Is there something…wrong?" Uraraka asked, fidgeting a bit.

"Yea…the coupon expired two years ago."

"What?!" Uraraka shouted. Shoto also dug into his coat pocket and examined the coupon, "He's not wrong, it says it right here…"

"Guess the guys at the postal office, accidentally sent this out…two years late."

"Uwahhh…we came all this way for Tea…."

Sojio scratches his cheeks with a finger, "Tea? My specialty is more coffee, and curry, it even says it on the window…" He contemplates something, "Hm. Alright, grab a seat. This round'll be on the house." The teenagers expressed their gratitude for his hospitality. From his years of restaurant experience, Sojiro knew how to pour on the charm. They all seemed swept up in it.

"You're helping though."

Of course…

"Isn't … a bit late for coffee?" Jiro asked. 'It's never too late' thought Ren but before he could open his mouth, Midoryia had beaten him.

"Jiro-san you won't regret it! Sakura-san makes the Best Coffee around here…no…the World!" The Cinamon roll literally had stars for eyes. "And Curry…" Ren added.

"Give me too much credit Midoriya, Oh! How's your mother?"

"My mother's doing well, she's still trying to crack your curry recipe"

"Ha. It's a secret."

Ren set his bag down on one of the booths and joined him behind the counter, while the others sat down and introduced themselves to Sojiro. Morgana poked his head out from the stairs to watch but kept quiet.

With Everyone here, it was the perfect opportunity to flex his skills. To brew a cup of coffee under Sojiro's tutelage. He had said it was a good trade to learn, especially if he wanted to pick up women.

All these years staying with Sojiro, he has mastered making Leblanc Coffee, and Curry.

There's:

Hawaiian Kona

Guatemalan Strictly Hard Bean

Colombian Narino

Cuban Crystal Mountain

And his favorite and hardest to master is Jamaican Blue Mountain. The coffee undergoes a rigorous process, That produces a rich coffee with a full aroma.

Ren had to make certain to make the coffee exactly the way Sojiro had taught him. In the past Sojiro even said once that he'd toss him out without a second thought if he ever made a subpar cup. He isn't interested in finding out if the remark was serious.

Under Sojiro's watchful eye he carefully concocted the drinks. Following every minute detail to the letter. An act that somewhat impressed Sojiro. He had expected the boy to be a lot more impatient and cut corners. But when it came to cooking, Ren was no slouch. The boy was incredibly precise when it came to his hobby. His pride was on the line, after all.

The Girls received their drinks first, the boys getting theirs a few seconds before the former. Todoroki said he didn't want any, he was busy looking at his phone.

Sojiro couldn't help but roll his eyes, smirking to himself. He had been around long enough to see all the tricks in the book. The things guys did – whether they be inadvertently or otherwise – to get on a girl's good side. Though the real proof was in the drink itself. Itsuka generously cradled her cup as he sipped on its warm contents with a coo.

"Wow…It's delicious…" Itsuka commented, taking another sip. The tender touch of the mocha-colored liquid spread a comforting warmth down her neck and into her chest.

Yes! not another Creamy comment….someone normal….!

"Indeed, there is a great depth to its acidity," Iida remarked, sagely.

"I think I read about LeBlanc once in a magazine," Uraraka said, tapping her chin in thought. She currently drinking Mocha Matari, which has a spicier chocolate flavor.

"That was such a long time ago," Sojiro replied, with a look of remembrance.

"What did you get Midoryia?" Jiro spoke up noticing the Green hair, Absolutely destroying his food.

"He got a decaf and also apple spiced curry" Ren informed because Midoryia was too lost in gluttony.

"You put apples in your curry!?" Sato shouted, "Midoryia I need a taste!"

"Nooo!"

"Coffee and curry? What an odd combination," Iida said. "How did it ever come about?"

"An old friend of mine helped me with it," Sojiro said, with a fond smile.

While the antics unfolded before him, Ren placed a cup in front of Todoroki. "I didn't want an-"

"I know…but didn't want to leave you out. Try it, you won't regret it."

Todoroki stared at Ren, trying to beat him with a stare showdown, then he finally sighed.

"What did he make you, Todoroki-san?" Midoriya asked over his spoonful of curry, still fending off Sato.

Todoroki set his phone aside and stared at his drink. It had a mountain of whipped cream and sprinkles, with a red and white striped candy sticking out from it.

"It looks like hot chocolate!" Uraraka beamed. "I don't think it's the same kind as mine, though."

"...Peppermint," Todoroki said after an experimental sip, and he raised a brow when his classmates started laughing. "What's wrong?"

"Todoroki." Sato bit back a bubble of laughter. "You have whip cream stuck on your lip, dude."

"Oh."

The counter burst out laughing as he licked the cream from his lip.

Meanwhile, Sojiro chuckled from behind the counter as Ren busied himself with washing dishes.

"They certainly are a loud bunch."

"My Classmates for the next three years…I wouldn't have it any other way." Ren glanced over his shoulder, grinning. "They're good people."

Sojrioi hummed as they watched the chaos. Iida did his best to confine the mess, but they wouldn't have it. It was a strange familiar sort of fondness that made Ren's heartache for reasons unbeknownst to him.

He was lost in a haze. His body worked on auto-pilot, only to be snapped out of it by someone slamming down a pile of yen on the counter. He nearly jumped out of his skin, and Itsuka's face fell in concern. He wiped it away with a smirk.

"What's that for? It's on the house."

"Your tip, silly!" Itsuka cackled. "We each threw in a few hundred yen, so don't spend it all in one place."

Ren winked. "Wouldn't dream of it."

"These're your friends, yeah?" he pressed. "Go on and take them up to your room. No need to stay down here." Ren snapped back to reality rather swiftly. It's not like he was ashamed of his room. Just the prospect of showing everyone he lived in an attic wouldn't do much for his image.

"My room? Uh, I dunno, it's not very-"

"Oh, I want to see!" Itsuka said, eagerly.

"It's only an attic," Sojiro replied, bluntly.

Despite Ren's poker face at the comment, his friends shared sympathetic and curious looks at the information. Itsuka even felt a bit bad for intruding now. Regardless, Ren led Sato, Iida, and the rest up the stairs without a word. Todoroki stayed downstairs not wanting to intrude even further.

While the rest went up, Sojiro and Todoroki stayed.

Shoto asked, "Is there so something on my face?"

"No, you just remind me of somebody…"

"Who…if you don't mind me asking…"

Sojiro sighed, and rubbed the back of his head, "Oh just a woman that I was previously engaged to."

"What happened to her?"

"Her family didn't like the engagement, so they broke it off. After that, I don't know much that happened after."

"Hey, you gotta come up here! This is freaking insane!" Sato called from upstairs.

Shoto took this as his cue to go, "Sorry, excuse me." Sojiro just nodded.

Back upstairs.

Ren watched silently as his friends surveyed the room with intrigue. They weren't judgmental, merely curious. Morgana was laying on the bed, acting like a normal feline.

"This is kinda crazy," Jiro said, "It's like having your own studio apartment…"

"It seems quite ordinary to me," Iida said, admiring the nice cover art on Ren's books. "These pictures are stunning. May I borrow one of these sometime?"

"Knock yourself out…"

"It's… cleaner than I thought it'd be," Itsuka commented. She'd never been in a boy's room before but she was under the assumption that it wouldn't be this pristine. She sat down on the couch.

"Ren you still have the All-Might figure I gave you," Midoryia spoke up, grabbing the Figurine off the shelf, and setting it in different poses.

"Of course." Noticing Todoroki coming up the stairs, "I thought you didn't want to intrude?"

"I changed my mind."

Fair enough…He shrugged.

"Oh look at this beautiful cat!" Uraraka said, grabbing Morgana despite him not wanting to be called a cat.

Meow! 'Put me down!'

Midoryia glanced at the cat in Uraraka's hands. "You've been taking care of Morgana, right?" Ren just nodded.

"Morgana?" Uraraka raises him to verify.

Meow! 'I feel violated!'

Itsuka shook her head, "Can't believe you gave a girl's name to a boy cat." Uraraka had put down Morgana. At Itsuka's comment, Morgana's tail stood upright in defense. "It-IT's not a woman's name! IT can be very masculine when put in the right hands!"

Ren took a glance at Morgana and then back to Itsuka. "I don't think he liked you pointing that out."

Itsuka giggled at Ren's 'joke'. "What are you some cat whisperer? All I heard was a simple meow."

"I do have a question about that though," Midoryia said.

"Yeah?"

"Back in Junoir High, it looked like you can understand Morgana…"

"Nonsense, call it intuition."

"I don't think It's too out there with you having a stand and all…" Sato added. Ren could already feel Arsene's grumbling.

"A Stand?" Kendo questioned.

"Yeah! You Should have seen it Kendo-san!" Uraraka shouted

"Indeed, It's a unique type of quirk," Iida added, sitting down next to Itsuka on the couch.

"Ok first off it's not a Stand, it's a Persona."

"Why call it a Persona?"

"Because it's original…." he shakes his head, "Anyways who want to play some Uno?" there were mutters of agreement, but.

"Apologies Amamiya-san, it's getting late. We all should be going heading home." Iida spoke up.

"Tomorrow we may have another physical test to complete, Aizawa-sensei did say that we prepare ourselves for tomorrow."

"You guys had a test?"

"A Quirk Assessment Kendo, nothing too challenging," Ren said.

"Aw, man all we had was Orientation."

"Nonetheless, we should start going home it's getting late." Iida continued. Everybody had packed their stuff up and started to go downstairs.

"Bye Morgana!" "Bye Kitty!" All they heard was Meowing, and were now passing Sojiro

"Take care now kids," Sojiro said, waving them Goodbye.

"Thank you for the drinks and Curry!"

They all exited the cafe, allowing Uraraka to twirl in place with a smile directed at them all. "Bye-bye, everyone! We'll see each other again in class!" Uraraka exclaimed as she waved her arms. "I believe that is a given, Uraraka-Kun," Iida added. "See you tomorrow Ren!" Midoryia also added

As the trio of Uraraka, Midoriya, and Iida walked away, Jiro and Sato sent a smile to Itsuka and made to follow them.

"Take care on your way home Kendo!" Jiro regarded. Sato chuckled, "See you later, Amamiya!" And all that was left was Kendo, still right next to him watching the other depart.

"You want dessert?" he asked, there must be a reason she stayed…

"I-uh, No…" She scratched her cheek with a finger, a slight pink tinge was coloring her face.

"Are you sick?" Ren asked, he was completely clueless about why she was still here.

"Uh…Actually, never mind-" she turned to leave but he caught her hand.

"Well…what's wrong?" his grip was firm tight, around her hand.

"Well…." She turned with an embarrassed smile, placing her other hand on the part of her hair that sticks up in large tufts at the top. "Can you walk me home…..I'm unfamiliar with the area…"

Oh! I'm such a…

(Dumbasss…)

Yeah…

He gave her a small smile, "Let's not waste any time then…" he started walking in a direction, she didn't argue with it.

"Can you L-let go of my hand?" she nervously stuttered out.

"Nope~"

As you can see nothing important happened. A pretty uneventful chapter.

Also, Sojiro was banging Todoroki's Mom! Don't look too into it, just world-building I guess...

The next chapter is Battle Class, also You might've seen me post a new story called "OverHaul in Dc"

It won't disturb the updates, it's just a side story for me to take a break from this big ass story I'm trying to do.
