She is 170 cm, pale skin, black hair and black green eyes.
She grew up in a rough neighborhood with her grandmother due to her mothers death in childbirth. Eventually Dragon came to visit her mother to talk of the revolution some more. Where he found out she had died and had a daughter. He took her to his father Garp, who left her with Makino and Luffy who had recently turned two.
Ch 1
She remembers quite a bit during her formative years. Things about worlds beyond her knowledge. It's not exactly reincarnation. More like, she just has someone else's memories forming with her own. Flashes of something else to guide her. She would've been fine without. The world knows this without a doubt, in fact she would have been better off without it. But the world didn't give them to her for her own benefit. They were for the benefit of her brother and his sworn brothers.
They remember something too. But it's their own memories and their own flashes are less often than her own, and her flashes are their to guide them all with knowledge only an outside had.
She of course doesn't actually care for the memories, they are there. But she's a baby, a Monkey D. Baby, what does she care about the World Beyond and Knowledge or Wisdom. Not much at all. The world would have probably chosen better, but it liked this one. This one was going to go places, and those places would be fun to watch so it did it. There, now stop questioning the world.
Omen Helena was very not well known. It was part of her work. The more people who knew of her the more danger she was in. Of course, the only person who did know of her just so happened to have slept with. Classic Helena. And well Dragon was nice, very attentive. She just wished she hadn't gotten pregnant. She's keeping the kid. She could use a break anyways.
Helena of course didn't know that the reason most families with the Initial D only had one child was due to the stress on the human body without proper care. And even if she had known, well she hadn't known she slept with a D.
Of course normal women die everyday in childbirth so her death, while a sad thing, wasn't a shock to the people in her village. Her mother took in the child and raised her with love. She was getting on with age though, and it really was lucky her Father came around. Odd man tht one. But her daughter always did have odd choices. So Madam Omen let the man, who really didn't look much like the girl at all except for their creepy smiles and otherwise stern expressions, take her granddaughter and could only hope for the best.
The villagers were also rather saddened by the girl's leave, but relieved that they wouldn't need to feed whatever monster took up residence in her stomach to allow a 3 year old to eat more than a man 5 times her size.
Dragon looked at the tiny thing that looked right back at him and smiled. He had been told a few times by quite a few people his smile was terrifying but hadn't been thinking of it until the child's face screwed up. And then the child's expression matched his perfectly. Oh she did look quite a bit like him didn't she. Well, he hoped Luffy wouldn't mind a sister.
Garp looked at the child sleeping on the couch. Looked at his son, back at the child. "Will you stop that?" His son said, rather exasperated. Honestly, Garp should be the one exasperated. Not only is his son a criminal, but he keeps giving Garp children to look after. "Well boy, what's her name? I need one to tell Makino." And Makino really was the best choice for any child, Garp will have to give her an allowance for them, one D is already a lot to feed. Two at once, Makinos bar chairs will be eaten at that point. "Her name is Monkey D. Omen Janette.
At 9 years old Janette knows quite a few things. One this isn't her first life. Two her first life was boring with no adventures at all and she isn't setting for that in this life. Three Luffy is the most precious idiot ever and anyone that says anything otherwise should be tortured in the pits of hell. Four and least important this was once an anime. Five, it is no longer an anime. And Six, Luffy will be Pirate King. Now, this may not seem like a lot. And it isn't she knows a lot more. It's just listing all of that in her thoughts would be rather tedious when she can just think of them when she needs them.
Janette is 9 years old and she quite likes her life.
Ch 2
Nettie was 3 when that man came. He was her father and she recognized him. His soul called out to her. He was family. But it was also more. This man Monkey D. Dragon he would one day be Most Wanted Man In The World. And that is important to her. She knows this world. She knows what it will do to children like her.
She sees her brothers faces, Luffy's eyes wide and terrified, dirty and scratched and clutching Ace like a life line. She sees the blood in Aces mouth. She knows the words he says. "Could you tell them, ...what i'm about to say now?" She sees the hole in his back, the ruined tattoo and the hole in his torso. She Sees Ace thanking the people who love him. She sees his self hatred even as they cry at his dying words. She Knows she cannot let this happen to Ace, cannot let this happen to her, cannot let this happen to Luffy, who she will see his goal come true by any means necessary.
She sees the tears and knows she will not let this pass, will make sure all four of them, Sabo included, will live, free, happy and together. Because she loves them. And that is her Will.
So she begins to challenge the world in her mind. One day, the entire world will know this fact. Monkey D. Omen Janette will do anything for her brothers. One day they will know this too. But for now she sleeps with the knowledge that she can change the world. That she can change the world. And plans begin unfolding in her mind.
Nettie is 4 years old and she loves her brother. She follows his day in a day out. This is Her Brother. So when the little boy smiles up at her, she smiles back. he grabs her hand and leads and she follows.
Nettie is 5 years old and she has been reading. Brushing up on knowledge she knew and knows. Gathering Information is a Key to His Survival. To Their Survival. She gets lessons in cooking from Makino, and Sewing from a Granny across the way. She knew this once, she must know again.
Nettie is 6 and then 7 and then 8. She is getting stronger with each day. She runs and she exercises and she punches trees. She needs to be prepared. She has luffy throw rocks at her while she closes her eyes until she can sense them coming at her. Then she learns to dance around them. She gets lessons from a woman in the village who used to dance for a living before retiring. Dancing with a fan is something she needs to know. After all, a fan can be weaponized. Blades on the end, red fabric between to blend in with the blood it is soaked in. She will be prepared.
She is 9 when they come. Their ship on the horizon is something she knows. She sees that flag and has a thought.
It has begun.
Luffy adores these pirates. She likes them quite a bit too.
Shanks stares at her. She stares back.
"Luffy's older sister. huh?" He muses, "You sure you're a girl?"
"Yes. I am also 9, and thus showing you proof would be inappropriate." She bluntly states back.
He sputters as his crew laughs around him.
"Huh? Why're you all laughing? Ah, Shanks. Take me with you!" Luffy runs in, already beginning his bargain.
She is sleeping when he stabs himself in the eye.
Upon waking she watches and then begins reading a story on ships and navigation.
She is still reading when Luffy eats the devil fruit.
"You won't ever be able to swim again."
"He won't need to. I'll swim for him."
This is of course when Higuma comes in. Arrogant and totally out of his league with the fight he is picking, and very lucky that Shanks didn't care to fight him.
For now its all fine. Shanks will show up in time later and Higuma will do nothing for now. And well if shanks doesn't show up in time. Nettie can see how easily a grown man is gutted. Couldn't be much harder than the Forest Beasts that Gramps sets on them.
Shanks shows up in time. She's slightly disappointed. Oh, well. The dead bodies are still fun to poke at.
"Why are you poking that body Jan?" Beckman asks. "Ah, I was wondering if I could convince the Villagers that me dissecting one would be for science." She explains. "Actually, can you do me a favor?" She asks in return. "I am not convincing the villagers to let you dissect the bodies for science." The First Mate deadpans.
She snorts, "No thanks, teach me weak points while we wait please. I know the groin of a male is sensitive but some others would be nice." She Punches one of the dead bodies in the sensitive spot and several men reflexively cover themselves. "See, even aiming their would give me an opening elsewhere."
Beckman gives a small smirk, "Sure kid. You've got a problem. You know that right."
She nods an affirmative. "Yeah, but the more I learn now, the better I can protect him later."
The crew around her all watched her warily for the rest of their visit, but Beckman has an approving glint in his eyes as I learn weak points.
"I Will Become Pirate King!
His declaration sent waves though her body.
Monkey D. Luffy WILL become Pirate King.
Monkey D. Omen Janette Will make sure of it.
Ch 3
She is still 9 when they leave.
She is still 9 when she meets Ace.
She is still 9...
She meets Sabo.
She loves these three. Even if they don't love each other yet.
It's Luffy's charisma after his torture that gets to Ace and Sabo. It's not something she witnesses' she's too busy making sure Porchemy is punished even before Bluejam gets to him.
That is her brother. She cannot stop him from getting in trouble, but she can make sure he is alive at the end, and punish those who hurt him.
Dining and Dashing is very good running training.
She participates. It's mostly just fun to spend time with her brothers.
The four swear brotherhood.
You heard her right. It was brotherhood. All four of them.
He gets flashes occasionally. Of things that haven't happened. Like when he met Ace, and then Luffy. He hadn't seen Nette in any of those flashes. He supposes she's just quiet. When he sees his boat burning, shot down and himself rescued but without memory of his brothers. He makes a decision.
Sabo didn't sail off that night. All four of us were together. But what had changed? She doesn't know. Doesn't quite care either. Instead she tells them of Dragon the revolutionary, who rescues slaves and incites rebellion and constantly tell the Celestial Nobles they don't matter. Sabo is entranced.
Gray terminal still burned. She will never forget the screams that night. But she also doesn't care. Doesn't care if she is a monster for not caring, as long as her brothers are alive and happy.
She is 10 and they train harder. Their dreams are important. And they've just realized how big the world is. They couldn't do anything to stop The Gray terminal from burning that night. So they get stronger, learn more. They swear to each other to live.
Sabo admits he wants to be a revolutionary. Or to be a pirate who does revolutionary things. There are a few days where the boys do not speak to each other until Ace decides that Sabo can do revolutionary things and Ace can tell him when he sees a place needs something revolutionary to happen. Both are fine after that. Luffy is bribed by Sabo with Alligator meat.
She is 11 when she remembers Haki, and teaches them too. She makes sure that all of them can dodge with blindfolds on. That they can go into the wolves caves and walk out without a scratch, by Observation and Armament.
She makes sure Ace and Luffy know they have Conquerors tell them one day they will need it. That the knowledge they can force someone to bow to their Will means they can survive.
Tells Luffy his Will to be Pirate King will mean so much more.
Tells them she doesn't know how good they are at Haki and that they can always get better and to not stop practicing.
Tells Luffy that if someone hits him with Haki it will hurt more because Devil fruits are weak to it. Tells them that the Grand Line is full of Haki Users.
She tells them they will need it and begs them to use it to as full as they can because she doesn't want them to die.
Ace can see her fear plain on her face as she begs them not to die. He has three brothers, Ane is older than Luffy, but younger than he and Sabo. As the oldest-Yes, Sabo he is the oldest- he needs to make sure his brothers are strong enough, but the tears on her face as she admits if they were to die she wouldn't want to live either was... disconcerting. (Ha, he can too use big words Sabo.) She loves them. He promises himself that he won't let himself die, because he knows that as long as Luffy is alive Ane will make sure his dreams come true, he also knows she will mourn Ace. And Ace, he decides he will live for her.
Ane will make sure Luffy's dreams will come true, so Ace will make sure her dreams of them all alive come true. He is the oldest brother after all.
Ch 4
She sets sail on November 7, 1518.
She meets plenty of people. But her real goal while waiting for Luffy... ruining the lives of others!
You see, Nettie had purchased a camera. And some ropes, and some markers. She also learned from the Village doctor how to make a knock out drug...
She knows she has a problem, but well. One day some of these photos may well be priceless.
So Nettie goes around the East Blue collecting photos of Marines in very compromising positions, often naked.. with obscene drawings on their foreheads. She is using this time to practice her haki. She is sneaking around, and making sure no one is around to do this.
Yes she is rationalizing having fun. But who is she kidding. Certainly not herself. Nor Ace when she ran into him before he went into the Grand Line and her photos all spilled to the ground.
"Ah, I can explain." Her face is rather sheepish as she says this. Personally Deuce thinks Ace looks rather exasperated with his little sister. Of course anyone else who had a Blackmail collecting sister would probably also be exasperated.
She goes on her way. A quick explanation of finding a Sabo to give the photos too. Ace looks even more exasperated at this.
"So, Captain, who is Sabo?" Is asked. Deuce is pretty sure it was Saber. But he's too busy watching Ace's facial expressions while his little sister sails away.
"Ah, that would be my twin brother. He decided he wanted to be a revolutionary. Ah, that blackmail might actually come in slightly useful for him..."
"TWIN?!"
Ah another day With Ace as their captain. Oh, he did say twin didn't he? Ah, now he feels a bit of what Ace feels. Exasperation.
She finds Sabo eventually. And Dragon. Who cares about that guy.
Quite a few people, including the World Government who want his head. She cares too. But y'know. Sabo's the more important one here.
It took her a total of a year to gather that black mail and then find Sabo. She now has 6 months of more Blackmail to gather before shells town. Maybe she should look for that animal island. And help that box dude. Wasn't too important to Luffy's story and she wants to see those animals. Get some pictures and do some drawings.
Ah. She'll do that.
So Nettie met Gaimon. She asked the "god" for permission to take photos and do some drawings of his animals. After getting agreement she does so. For a few months. And gets slightly attached to an Usagihebi. He was quite cute. She named him Duck. To confuse everyone.
Example: "Ah have you met my pet duck." A very distinctly not Duck at all bunny and snake hybrid slither's out to say hello. "This is duck. I love duck very much." As expected the reactions are blackmail material.
Most people are not happy to meet Duck. Nettie has no clue why.
That's a lie, she knows exactly why. And is always camera ready too.
Duck also finds amusement in it. She has decided Duck is her best friend. He can be right up there with her Brothers.
Eventually, May 5th of the year 1520 comes. And so Nettie sails to Shells Town. Where Zoro has been tied up for two weeks.
"Well isn't this interesting." She muses. She rents a room and settles in to wait.
After all, this is where it all begins for her.
Ch 5
"This looks like the place." She hears Luffy announce. Another voice gets teary. "This is where we part ways Luffy, we didn't have long, but.." whatever he was going to say next was cut off by Luffy himself. She watches him hand from the wall, feet swinging back and forth as he asks, "Where's the footholds?" He genuinely wasn't listening to Coby, and she feels a laugh bubble up as Coby shouts, "Get down from there!"
"Now where's this demon?" Well, it seems she can jump in here. "If Demon you mean the pirate hunter he's tied up waiting for his month to end." Right after she says this, Coby begins to explain that they wouldn't leave him out and he'd be behind bars under ground. He is not.
Coby learns this as Luffy shouts "There he is! Uh. I'm, gonna get closer!" She laughs as Luffy does just that watching Zoro from afar. Nettie has observed him this week. He will make a good First Mate for her brother. She can't wait to watch.
She and Duck had been writing everything from Luffys childhood this past week. Well she had, Duck was moral support. Very good moral support. Duck was also getting rather good at using observation haki. They hadn't unlocked his armament but there was time for that..
She was broken out of her thought by Zoro's voice. "Hey you three. You're an eyesore." A dramatic pause. "Get lost." This is when Coby starts screaming. She tunes him out. "Blah, won't survive, blah blah someone like him on your crew."
And then little Rika puts down a ladder. Quite impressive, a girl her age carrying that thing and the riceballs without dropping either. She proceeds to shush Coby, give a few suspicious glances and then lower herself to the ground so she can offer Zoro the riceballs. Admitting to Zoro that she never made any while he tries to scare the little girl off.
Enter Helmeppo who comments on bullies before stealing a riceball yelling about salt and sugar and then destroying the other one.
When Helmeppo threatens to execute Rika she gets ready to catch her when she's thrown.
Luffy ends up catching her instead. So she continues to watch as Helmeppo laughs over 10 days laugh.
She watches as Luffy confront Zoro and sends Coby to take that little girl home.
Zoro eats the riceball. And Luffy gets a look on his face. Ah what a soft hearted First Mate.
It is while Rika tells them why Zoro is tied up that Helmeppo comes into the bar claiming he was going to execute Zoro today.
She watches Luffy get mad and punch him and walk out of the bar. So she follows to listen to their conversation.
"I would never stoop low enough to be a criminal." Zoro says. She smirks at Luffys reply, "Yeah that's too bad, I've already decided I want you on my crew. I hear you're one of the best swordsmen around."
And then she watches Luffy blackmail Zoro.
She feels, so much pride.
Of course Zoro correcting Luffy on direction is something so breathtaking that she sits and laughs. Until she hears, "What the hell is that guy?"
She pops up then, letting Zoro see her. "Luffy is a rubber man. When we were younger, he ate a devil fruit by accident and now his whole body is made of rubber."
She begins to untie him in the meantime while waiting for Luffy to be back with the swords.
Coby comes around this time. "I can't stand to watch the marines do this any longer."
"Girl their gonna execute you both for this. I have 10 days left."
Coby winces, "Well not quite, their gonna execute you tomorrow."
"What?"
"Helmeppo never planned on respecting your arrangement from the start. Which made Luffy really angry. So he knocked him out."
She watched Coby speak to Zoro as she untied him. And slowly speak inspiring enough words that Zoro began thinking of becoming a Pirate.
And then Morgan showed up. His guns were aimed at us. And all I felt was amusement.
And then they fired.
Ch 6
Her baby brother is so dramatic.
Sabo and Ace were horrible influences. Both such dramatic people.
At this moment both Ace and Sabo feel the need to remind their little sister she is also dramatic. The time of dramatic that makes people spit out their sake when she speaks.
Duck would also like to be said reminder.
Of course once again lost in her thoughts it takes Nettie a moment to remember she is in the middle of a battle.
Many people feel the need to shake their heads in exasperation.
As she remembers this, Luffy releases his caught bullets with a shout.
"Hah!"
He begins to laugh as one of the bullets wizzes past the Captains face.
Nettie is taking photos. Mostly of Marine faces, but some of Zoro's.
He probably thinks he's hallucinating. Poor guy...
Oh well, she muses, one day he'll learn reality bends to Luffy's whims and the rest of us are here because he wants us to be here.
"Shishishi! I told you I was strong!" Luffy's laugh makes her laugh, while Zoro's question brings her more amusement.
"You gonna tell me who the hell you are?"
"I'm Monkey D. Luffy! And I'm gonna be king of the pirates!"
"You must be completely out of your rubbery mind! Do you have any idea what that means?"
"Being King of the Pirates means being King of the Pirates. How could it mean anything but that?" He ends this sentence like its a foregone conclusion and everyones disbelieving faces makes Janette feel very tingly.
As if she would ever be anywhere but her brothers side! So many dumbfounded faces! So many photos to take and send to Sabo!
Eventually she grows bored and tunes out their conversation about Santoryu. She begins to think of what's going on.
She is supposed to change things. She knows this. But her brother needs to grow first. If she changes too much now, it could hurt him later on.
For now she decides, all she will do is give them more information.
They need to be prepared for the Grand Line.
And with that line of thought, she wanders off into the Marine Base.
Luffy has it handled here.
While wandering around, Duck maneuvers his way to her shoulders. "I think this place needs some decoration. Don't you Duck?" He gives her a nod of the head, or neck as it may depends on you perspective. She finds her way into Morgans office and begins routing through it for information.
She finds a few promising documents, but nothing really worthwhile. A few pictures are taken and then what she really came here for.
A Den-Den Mushi.
"Come to Mama." She whispers, and unsettling gleam in her eyes. She Den-Den shakes in fear as she types in a number she memorized by heart.
"Gramps!" She shouts before Garp can say anything. "Ah Janette, come to a Marine base to enlist I see, have you dragged that errant brother with you?"
"You see Gramps I was here, and Luffy is here! But this guy in charge he has this town shaking in fear. He's constantly taxing them and they are more afraid of him than pirates! Were gonna beat him up! Then find another marine base and if that one is also corrupt then we aren't doing it! Got that Gramps!" She rambles not letting him interrupt her the entire time.
"Ah, what's the name." Her dense grandpa sounds rather serious for once, and she replies quickly. "Shells Town, Captian Morgan. By the way gramps their some Coby Kid you might like, so keep and eye out for pink when you get here will you?"
With that she slams the Den-Den Mushi down satisfied and goes off to paint some stuff on walls! Maybe a straw hat? That seems like a good idea.
"I know, I know. I am so smart Duck." He seems rather exasperated. She has no clue why.
She whistles on her way to cause some minor property damage.
As they're leaving she takes a photo of all those Marines saluting them, Zoro and Luffy are both in frame. Zoro gives her a wary look when she giggles.
"At last our pirate crew has finally set sail!"
"I've got the feeling some interesting adventures are waiting for us" Oh Zoro... you've got no clue.
"You seem pretty obsessed with being King of the Pirates, is there some kind of story behind it?"
"No, story." "Not even a reason." "No reason. Just a promise."
"This straw hat knows the whole story."
It is only a few minutes later that Luffy drapes himself on her lap.
"Hungry." She pulls out food reflexively before he finishes the words and he laughs exited.
She notices Zoro's curious look and remembers her manners. "Ah, my apologies Roronoa. My name is Monkey D. Omen Janette. I can't wait to watch you continue to grow. If you have any questions at all, feel free to direct them to me. I gather information for fun."
She watches him sputter in amusement, before offering, "Zoro please. And you two are rather alike looking."
"Nette is my older brother. Of course we're similar."
"Older brother?"
"Yeah, we swore brotherhood with our other Older Brothers a while ago."
"I may be a female but to my brothers I am the second youngest brother."
She knows they're getting close to Orange Town when after Luffy once again lamenting his hunger he spots a bird.
And stretches. She gets a reference photo as Zoro begins rowing rather quickly.
They pass three swimming clowns who clamor on and try to take control of the boat.
She has her sharpened fans to two of their necks while Zoro deals with the other and they end up with a free ride.
Well then. On to see the second cabin boy on Rogers Crew.
She'll have to tell Luffy once he defeats him.
Ch 7
They get off at the port. She knocks the three out rather quickly before they make their way to where the most noise is coming from.
Well Zoro tries too. And she gets bored pretty quickly before deciding she wants some of Buggy's things.
"Maybe a hammock?" She muses to Duck on her shoulder.
He wraps himself around her like some off brand fur coat.
"I could make it out of their tent material." She nods resolutely and decides to do just that.
When she sees Zoro turned around and Buggy getting back up her eyes darken.
Duck quickly slithers off to do Duck things.
And.
She.
Jumps.
Catches Buggy's knife in her hand, blackened with armament.
"Zoro, never underestimate your enemy." Her voice is cold, and certain.
Buggy's crew stop laughing as she lifts the hand in her grip up.
Then she throws it back at its owner.
"After all, some people can't win a fight unless your back is turned."
Buggy's arrogant rant goes on anyways. How he can never be defeated by the blade. And she watches.
He knows of armament.
He knows of observation.
Why does he not care.
Is he so certain no one can use it that he just wont bring it up?
Is this some sort of test for people coming out of the same waters as his captain?
Or is he genuinely arrogant?
Is it both?
She doesn't know.
The world isn't telling her.
And that, that bothers her.
She goes with them as they run.
Not much else to do. And she meets ChouChou.
They hear his story.
And while its sad, she doesn't feel much at all.
She wasn't like this in her first life.
She can't bring herself to care about that either.
She cares about Luffy, Ace, Sabo, Duck and now Zoro.
She cares about the villagers, Makino, Gramps and Dragon on a lesser scale.
It's just, she can't bring herself to care.
Buggy's pirates are very easy to deal with. So she leaves Cabaji to Zoro, and Buggy to Luffy.
And she makes sure they are touched by no one else.
Luffy likes fighting. So she'll make sure he can fight without interruption.
And then she takes pictures.
Buggy makes some rather funny faces after all. Maybe Shanks will want to buy them?
Nami agrees to join them for now. Although she is definitely mad that Luffy left money behind.
She sews his hat back up, and makes sure no-one's clothes have rips.
She's not sure Luffy will want to know that Shanks and Buggy were Cabin Boys on the Oro Jackson.
She's also pretty sure he doesn't know that Roger was the Captain of the Oro Jackson.
She doesn't care much for Nami yet. She knows that the girl doesn't only care about money but, well.
Nami doesn't trust them yet.
Until she trusts Luffy, Nettie can't trust Nami.
"There is absolutely no way we'll make it to the Grand Line in this condition." Nettie tilts her head in Nami's direction.
Luffy takes the apple he was eating out of his mouth as he replies, "You're right. We're gonna need a hell of a lot more meat."
His serious tone causes Netties eyes to sparkle with amusement.
"Eating fruit every day is for the birds." He frowns while looking at a crate of apples.
Zoro gives a grin as he says, "We'll also need some good booze."
Nami throwing an apple at him leaves his head thrown backwards as she berates them both.
"You need more than beer and meat to survive in the Grand Line."
Nettie takes this opportunity. "Yes Luffy, like Haki. Did you want them to learn?"
Luffy bounces up comically. "Yeah! Mystery Power! They should learn."
"Not to mention the Grand Line is crawling with pirates also in search of the one piece. And they all have real ships, and you know crews." Nami states.
Luffy is nodding along and her eyes light up with glee as she pulls out her camera.
"Yep, we'll need a cook. And maybe a musician to keep us entertained!"
"Musician!" Zoro starts laughing and Nami droops over, "So stupid…"
Nettie pats her on the shoulder. "Luffy does what Luffy wants. You've got to translate to Luffy speak."
She turns to Luffy and very seriously states, "Luffy, these ships wont survive the Mountain Whale or the Sky Islands."
This is what she was waiting for, and takes pictures of Nami and Zoros very comedic flailing.
"Whales as big as Mountains!" Zoro seems like he wants to fight Laboon. Bad Zoro, Laboon is friend not food.
"Islands in the Skys!" Nami seems to be having a mental breakdown. Poor, poor Nami.
"Cool! Okay a ship! Where do we get one of those?"
Nami starts her explanation of stocking up at the next island and scolding the boys for only thinking of fresh meat and booze.
Nettie expands her Observation Haki to listen to the fish and see how far she can go.
Zoro's face as Usopp lies is one for the book.
Just for her own amusement rather than blackmail.
She doesn't think she could blackmail him with it.
Ussops face when Nami calls him out is also rather amusing, and she probably could blackmail him with it.
"I'm a proud man and I won't stand for it!" Usopp states as he draws out his slingshot, loading and aiming it at Luffy.
Luffy uses his hat to shadow his face, "Now that you've drawn your pistol. Are you willing to use it?"
The grin on Luffy's face makes the resemblance to Shanks uncanny. It isn't the grin of a D. it was Shanks grin through and through.
Luffy continues with Shanks speech and Zoro fingers his sword hits.
Nettie herself flicks her fans into her hands so she can use them if she needs to.
Even if it's just for show.
Usopp falls to the ground in despair, "Real pirates words definitely pack a punch to them because they can actually back them up."
Zoro and Luffy start laughing as Luffy admits to stealing that line from Shanks. And to admitting he knows Usopp's dad Yasopp.
"You're right Yasopp is my old man. But how in the world do you know him?"
"Take us to some food and I'll tell you!"
Ch 8
Nettie eats while Usopp and Luffy talk about Shanks and Yasopp.
It would be nice to say she has a lot on her mind.
But, well not much at all was on her mind.
She did like the food though.
Yasopp did like bragging about Usopp, especially while drunk.
She and Yasopp hadn't talked much.
"Maybe you can help us, do you know anyone who can provide us with a ship?"
"It's a pretty small village"
He had an odd look on his face as he said this.
"And the mansion on the hill?"
At Zoro's prompt a grimace rose to Ussops face.
As Nami went on about how rich they must be Usopps face got darker until he raised his voice,
"You stay away from there!"
Upon remembering he was shouting at pirates his mouth gaped and he gave an excuse to leave.
Booking it after saying that due to everyone knowing him, they could eat as much as they wanted.
Luffy took immediate advantage of this.
An apple going to his mouth.
It's not long later that the three children barge in with their wooden swords.
"The Usopp pirates have arrived!"
The restaurant's owner glanced up with a smile before looking back at the newspaper.
"Fess up pirates! What have you done with our captain?"
Luffy takes the chance to burp and praise the meat.
Nettie began cleaning her teeth with a small bone from some of the meat she ate.
"What Meat?!"
"These Pirates are Cannibals!"
Upon Nami's giggle they exclaim, "What have you done?! You savages?!"
"If you're looking for your captain…"
Zoro starts with a grin on his face,
"We ate him."
His grin widens as he finishes.
The children immediately look at Nami as if she had done it alone.
And this of course upsets her.
While the children led the others to Kaya's mansion, Nettie gathers information on the island.
Duck of course is with her.
"I'm gonna make some spiked traps."
He shakes his head.
"I know, I'm a genius."
Duck looks at her, the doubt in his eyes clear.
"Oi. At least I have hands!"
He looks at her with more doubt.
"Ok, that was a low blow."
He looks away from her.
"Yes, yes. I am sorry."
Eventually, she's wandered for long enough that when she gets to the cliff, it is just in time to watch her little brother fall off.
"A pity."
She hears.
But her mind.
It goes blank.
She knows he's alive, a fall like that wouldn't kill him.
He's made of rubber.
Those falls have never killed him.
But that's her little brother.
And she stares.
And stares.
She is broken away from staring when the others get there and Luffy begins to wake up.
He's not dead.
She knew that.
Why was she panicking.
This can't happen again.
She may not be interfering with his fights.
But she– she doesn't like seeing him asleep as if he'd died.
"Good Morning!"
That idiot worries her.
She loves him anyway.
While the others boobytrap the slope, she walks to the one with their ship.
Well. Time to get started then.
Duck gathers some vines for her, as she digs random holes.
Then she waits.
She hears them charge.
And fall into her traps.
She can't help but giggle.
By the time the others get there quite a few grunts have fallen into spiked holes, so she leaves Nami and Usopp to deal with the rest and goes to find Zoro.
By the time she gets to Zoro he has just gotten past the oil.
So she smiles, grabs him by the hand and leads him straight back.
Finding Luffy on the way she takes him too.
And they get back just in time to stop Usopp from the hit to the head.
While the others fight and learn new things while growing, she has fun destroying grunts.
No one will get in their way.
No one will disturb their fights.
When Zoro attempts to stop Nami, she stops him.
Interference is prohibited.
The Going Merry is a beautiful ship.
"Hello there, it's nice to meet you."
She smiles, "Thank you for being our Nakama."
Ch 9
The flag Luffy paints is scary.
Why is her little brother that bad at art.
She's been doodling with him since childhood.
"I've been drawing graffiti for 50 years straight!"
Usopps proud exclamation leaves her with one answer.
And one answer only.
The others seem to be of the same mind,
"He must be an old man by now."
"With 5 or 6 grandchildren too."
"Why didn't we meet the Missus?"
Usopp ends up ignoring them and drawing himself.
Until they get the Straw Hat Pirate Flag.
That will one day be feared as the Pirate Kings Flag.
Nami spots the island and tells them of Treasure Island, its one she recognizes.
"Well Duck, time to reunite you with your siblings!"
The others panic about the God, while dealing with the storm.
She thinks about if Duck wants to stay with her.
What if he wants to leave?
While Luffy helps Gaimon with his treasure problem, Nettie has a talk with Duck.
"Do you want to leave?"
Duck pauses, while playing with his family members.
He comes to a realization.
He is back home.
The girl he has been traveling with won't be back for a while.
She will be making sure her brother's dream comes true.
It is his choice here to go with her or stay here with his family.
He knows what she's told him of the Grand Line.
He's not up to scratch is he?
But his girls will get lonely with no-one to talk to.
Ah, SHE lives on this island doesn't she.
He looks up at the girl.
Follow.
And she does.
Nettie is being led by Duck.
She can tell he's made up his mind.
He won't be coming with her.
But he wants her to see something else.
And what she finds is a tiger bear.
And some tiger bear cubs.
She is handed one after a weighty stare from the mother.
Duck and the mother seem to have a conversation as she and the cub stare at each other.
"Did you steal an animal?!"
Nami seems outraged on Gaimons behalf.
They had already been on the ship for a while, she and the cub still staring into each other's eyes.
"Nah, my pet Duck convinces the mom that the cub should go with us."
"You had a pet Duck?"
Zoro questions.
Did they never meet Duck?
Huh.
She pulls out photos of her and Duck at different Islands.
"That is not a duck!"
Nami and Zoros shouts are drowned out by Luffy's and Usopp's.
"COOL!"
"I've been to Treasure Island before and Duck came with me. Duck is his name by the way. He decided to stay behind but found me a new companion on the way."
Winnie? That sounds like FFA…
Pooh? Ew.
Tigger? Sure a tiger but, it sounds like Tig SOA… yeah no. Well..

She'll think of her cub with an Irish accent from now on.
"Welcome to the strawhats Chibs."
Usopp shoots Yosaku and Johnny.
Johnny destroys some of the ship.
Angers Luffy.
Yosaku is brought on board to be saved from Scurvy.
Yosaku and Johnny are dramatic.
Nami insists on a cook.
Johnny and Yosaku tell them about the Baratie.
They set sail to the Baratie.
Before making it to the Baratie they ran into Fullbody.
She swoops forward into the cannon ball shot at them.
And catches it with her bare hands.
Before crushing it.
Garp was a very good teacher after all.
The Bounties are still dropped to the ground by Johnny and Yosaku.
Nami sees Arlogs poster and goes pale.
Eyes dark and hands shaking.
Nettie knows Nami will still be taking the Merry.
Luffy doesn't have to pay for repairs with his services for a year.
Not that he would have had to even if she hadn't stepped in.
Nettie has plenty of money saved after all.
But it all worked out.
Of course Luffy still decided that Sanji will be his chef and decided to stay for the week to convince him.
So they stayed for a week.
A week that would've been boring without Chibs around to train.
So she got him started with observation Haki.
Nettie sensed Gins presence with another before they got to the Baratie.
She also sensed an even larger one following them.

Sanji still fed Kreig.
But when Kreig attempted to attack Sanji, Nettie stepped forth to intercept.
And intercept she did.
Sanji was behind her before anyone saw her move.
Of course intercepting Krieg wasn't going to change his mind.
And he still threatened them all into feeding his crew.
Sanji gave a speech and Zeff spoke up about Sanji knowing what it's like to starve.
And Nettie looked over to Luffy for orders.
She could take out Krieg now.
But when she saw his face.
She recognized that look.
"I'm going to be pirate king!"
And so Luffy was going to fight Krieg for rights to his title.
"Scars on the back are a swordsman's shame."
And look at that, Dracule is impressed.
"ZORO!"
She dives in to save him immediately.
And deposits him with Johnny and Yosaku.
"I'll never lose again!"
"That okay with you King of the Pirates!?"
"Hawkeye aren't you here to kill me?"
"I've had enough for the day. The only one slightly interesting ones are those siblings."
She raises an eyebrow and waves.
"The one with the fans knows how to use them."
"I haven't even started."
Kreig attempts to kill Mihawk.
Who immediately left instead.
"Usopp! Nette! You go on ahead for Nami!"
"Aye, Aye Captain!
Getting to the island was easy enough.
Johnny and Yosaku knew the way.
Which meant that Nettie was able to take care of Zoro on the way.
He's kind of an idiot.
But he's one of her idiots.
So she'll look after him until he can look after himself.
The arlong pirates situation goes something like canon.
As in, Luffy beats them all up for Nami's sake.
Of course Nami now trusted Luffy with her life and her villages' lives.
Nettie now trusted Nami too.
Of course with that over Nettie got to have a little fun.
She tortured Nezumi a bit.
Just a little bit.
She swears it wasn't that bad.
The incoherent babbling of the Marine says otherwise in the background of her phone call to Garp.
"Gramps."
Her voice was flat.
An edge of disappointment was there though.
His smile disappeared from the snails face.
"I have to apologize to Vice Admiral Monkey, his grandchildren will not be joining the Marines due to excess corruption found in the East Blue's branches. They will hereby be following the youngest grandchild dreams of piratery and joining their older brothers in the bounty books of criminals."
She gave a rather formal speech.
She knew this would be happening, but she still felt bad for Gramps.
He was still silent, so she spoke up again.
"I'm sorry gramps. If it helps though…"
She went on to tell him all of the corruption in the East Blue she'd seen since she turned 17 and set sail.
The compiled evidence should be enough for him to have an excuse to beat up as many people as he wanted in his anger.
When Luffy's bounty came in at 30,000,000 Beri's hers was also there.
It seems that either Fullbody told them of her being with them.
Or Garp himself did so, one last way to help fulfill their ambitions as well as he could've.
The Bad Omen is now worth 20,000,000.
Ch 10
When they get to Loguetown everyone splits off to do their own things, Nettie decides to raid the Marine base.
She doesn't get much out of it, but does manage to get some documents for Sabo. And Chibs got some good practice in, so it wasn't a completely useless time.
And she got what she went there for, a log pose.
She of course vandalizes the place before heading off to hand them over to her father while he's here before she heads off to wait on the boat.
This is of course simply Loguetown and thus unless she wanted to take away Luffy's Marine Rival she couldn't do much of anything at all.
And that would be a travesty.
A Pirate King without a proper Marine Rival?
Goodness, what would the world be coming to.
Ace wakes. He wakes fitfully, and in a panic, the cooling blood around Thatches body and the poisoned knife used to end him by Teach.
Thatch is on watch tonight, they recently found that fruit.
Ace had a brother to save.
He does get there in time, Teach doesn't eat that infernal fruit. But he does escape.
"God, I have to go after him…"
"Ace he may have been apart of your division, but-"
"No, I have to after him because if I don't, Ane will and she will turture him and have fun doing it…"
Ace dissolves into muttering.
The other Division Commanders exchange helpless looks.
There he goes again.
They won't be getting him back for a while.
Laboon is cute enough, and Nami's rage at finding out Nette had a log pose the whole time and hadn't given it to her was amusing.
She found the Baroque Works Agents boring and ignored them.
To Whiskey Peak they go.
Nettie got into the food with Chibs, she was hungry, you can't blame a girl for being hungry.
Picking off small fry once again. At this rate it's all she'll do.
Well it won't be that bad…
Robin is very pretty. And that turtle is really cool.
Little Garden.
Oooh does she love Little Garden.
"I want a ankel-o-saur-ous." She says out loud to Chibs.
He's quite like Duck.
Always judging her life choices, and her choices on pronouncing things.
So what if she decides to say funny words in funny ways.
Oh, well she needs someone to keep her straight.
Bad choice of words… to keep her from doing stupid things… that makes it worse doesn't it.
Whatever.
Nettie needs someone to stop her from doing stupid things, even if that someone is a tiger bear cub.
God she's going to have so much fun.

Yes, it seems fun enough.
Dealing with the Baroque Agents before Zoro decides to irreparibly wound his legs is easy.
And it leaves everyone staring at her.
She nonchalantly wipes blood off of her fans as everyone stared at her.
"Where were you?!"
"You could've done that this whole time?!"
"Of course, but how will you grow if I take the battles?"
"Shishishishi"
"Hey Luffy, can I keep my new pet? Her name is Edwin."
"Sure!"
"Not more pets!"
Drum goes relatively the same, can't really torture doctors…
No word from Ace.
She gets exceedingly more tense as MarineFord Arc gets nearer.
All that matters is her brothers Survival. Their Dreams coming to completion is her Dream.
It's all that matters.
Their arrival at Alabasta leads to a reunion with Ace.
She watches him, the whole time he is there.
When he mentions that Blackbeard was after a fruit that he didn't manage to eat she was confused.
What had changed her knowledge.
Is it accurate anymore?
Will Ace still find him on Banora.
She may know what will happen, but will Teach still be on Jaya.
Can she tell him about an uncertain future?
No.
She can't.
The future is upon her and she is afraid.
Ace is gone, and the battles have begun.
While Luffy fights Crocodile, and does his protagonist thing, Nette goes around collecting blackmail.
The future may not be assured, but Luffy's protagonist armor should keep him safe.
Should.
She'll check up on him in a bit.
Alabasta ends as expected, Nettie with lots of blackmail on all sorts of Marines and Pirates.
What a good day.
Oh and Luffy managed to remember Armament.
Good on him.
She's so proud.
Jaya was an experience and Teach was not there.
But her bounty increased and Zoro learned of his own bounty.
Skypiea was interesting enough and she managed to get Enels fruit.
She'll send it to Sabo.
Good plan.
Foxy, blah blah.
Water Seven.
First of all, stalking is fun.
Second of all, it isn't stalking if they are bad people.
Just mapping out her prey as it is.
That sounds worse.
Ah, well the CP-9 were rather easy to follow around, and saving Iceberg immediately after they leave is even easier.
Getting Robin back was another growing thing for the rest, so she goes around collecting even more blackmail and even manages to stops the buster call. Kinda, she more of just slows it down.
Yubashiri is still rusted, but that Marine is killed quickly afterwards.
The Going Merry still sinks, even though Nettie had been taking better care of her.
Thats fine.
It's all fine.
Nettie doesn't miss a stupid ship at all.
Who's she kidding.
Not herself, that's for sure.
She misses the ship.
After torturing a few zombies, Nettie leaves Thriller Bark Very Satisfied.
She always wanted to burn down an island.
Brook joins.
Luffy punches a celestial dragon, Nettie tortures and kills the celestial dragon.
When Kuma goes to separate the crew, Nettie grabs Luffy's hand.
Luffy is still the first male on Amazon Lily, they end up with Boa in love with Luffy and a ship to Impel Down.
They still don't make it in time.
She Can't Allow Ace To Die.
None of her brothers are allowed to Die.
She will not allow it.
It is this resolution that leads her in front of Ace and Luffy.
