"Why did I agree to this..?" Lance mumbled quietly in a regretful voice, loud enough for his ally to hear. "I told you that I wanted to show you how fun camping is, remember?" Anna stuck her tongue out, walking in a steady pace. Lance gave out a sigh, and looked back at the girl. "I know… But WHY did I agree?" He rubbed his temple, looking s little exasperated. Anna giggled, seeing her friend getting a tiny bit annoyed.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure that you don't regret going to this trip!" She gave him a thumbs up, which he did not return. "Yeah, Yeah… I'll make sure to feed you to the bears if we get attacked…" He smirked to himself, getting himself an elbow to the stomach. "Ow!" He grunted, obviously overreacting. "And I'll make sure that you don't burn everything that you see!" Anna growled at Lance, who couldn't help but laugh. "Sure thing…" He pinched the girl's cheek, getting another elbow.

"Stop It!"

"Alright, this spot should do!" Anna cheerfully smiled, dropping all the equipment and items she was carrying. Lance did the same, placing all his belongings beside a tree stump. "First, why don't we go look around? Enjoy the scenery, smell the fresh air, and appreciate nature?" She asked the gunner, looking around the open area. "Meh… I'd rather just read a magazine" Lance shrugged, taking out a magazine out of his pocket. Anna pouted, and lightly tackled the boy."Ah! What?" The gunner looked at Anna, obviously confused. "Come on, Lance! I didn't take you out here, just for you to read boring magazines!" She protested, trying to pull him.

"Hey! I'll have you know that these magazines are not boring, and that they're very entertaining!" Lance protected his beloved collections. "Mhm, guns and girls! Come on, let's go!" The archer persisted. Lance sweatdropped, looking at Anna's efforts. Seeing that she wasn't planning on stopping anytime soon, he relented. "Fine, fine…" he tried to sound as begrudging as he could. "Geez… Do I have to force you into doing everything?" the girl sighed, though it was obvious that she was very happy. With another sigh, Anna grabbed onto Lance's hand, and pulled him along. "Mh!" The gunner jumped a little, not expecting what had just happened.

"Huh? Are you okay?" "I-I'm fine!"

"Wow!" Anna exclaimed, seeing a beautiful view of the forest. It was something that she has already seen hundreds of times before, but never got, in her opinion. "Uh-huh, it's a bunch of green leaves… Very beautiful" Lance sarcastically commented. "Come on! How hard is it to please you?" Anna looked at him with a frown, sounding annoyed. "Haha, I was only kidding!" He nervously laughed, patting the girl's head. "It looks very beautiful" Lance looked back at the view with a smile. Anna couldn't help but smile too. She never usually see her friend smile like this. "Do you… mean that?" She asked the boy, twirling around her hair with her fingers. Lance nodded, and looked back at her. "Yeah, It's just a shame it's filled with monsters" He chuckled, resting one of his arm on the girl's shoulder. Anna giggled alongside him. "Well I'm glad you like the view…"

The two stayed silent for a good while, only admiring nature in front of them, and not saying a single word. After a while, however, the girl remembered what the two came to the forest for, originally. Anna's cheeks grew red, realizing that Lance was basically just embracing her at this point. "Ahem..! W-we should probably g-get back to the camping site..!" She awkwardly laughed. "Ah!" Lance jolted a sprung a little, quickly letting go of the girl. "Sorry... L-Let's get back, then" He nervously laughed to, feeling his own face heat up. The archer nodded, and walked beside the boy, as they made their way back.

*Caw* *Caw* *Caw*

The two spent time together, talking to each other about the outside. They told each other stories about their experience with nature, stories about folklores, and generally just had fun. And before they knew it, the sun had already started to dwindle down. Anna did not fail to notice, and began to lecture Lance about making a fire.

"So that's how we can start a fire!" She proudly put her hands on her hips, looking down at the boy. "Or, you know… We can just use my flamethrower?" Lance suggested, looking very unimpressed. "But where's the fun in that?" Anna protested, and looked down at the dry wood she and her ally gathered. "Why don't you just try to make one?" She grinned, bringing a stick towards the gunner. Lance wasn't planning on spending all his energy into doing something that he can easily just do in a matter of seconds. The problem was, though…

"Come on! Pleeeaaassee..?"

He could never say no to the girl. It's like she put some kind of spell on him that made it so that he could never deny any of her requests. "Gahhhh… Fiiiine…" He relented, and grabbed the wood in front of him. "yaaaayyy!" Anna sounded a little more sarcastic than cheerful, though it didn't really matter to the boy. Her giggles were all he needed to hear.

Lance spent a couple of minutes just aggressively spinning the stick. It was a little frustrating, as nothing seemed to be happening. Slowly, though, he noticed the wood begin to smoke. Not wasting any time, he cupped his hands, and pressed on all the dried leaves. Lance blew and blew, making sure that the air does not blow on it too hard. And after a couple more minutes of blowing….

"Finally!"

Lance triumphantly threw a punch in the air, while Anna gave him a little applause. He had to admit that, as annoying as it was to start a fire, it felt really good and rewarding to do so. The archer stood up, and walked towards her friend. "Now, why don't we cook some food?" She grinned, pulling out her bow. Lance smirked, and nodded, before pulling out his gun. "Let's go!" He excitedly got up, and caught up with the archer, who was a couple of meters away from him.

After a while, the two came back to their site, and cooked their food. They shared more stories, as they sat by the camp fire. After a while, the two focused their attention to the meat, which was now close to being done. And finally, after finishing their meal, it was time to rest.

"All right! Now, as much as I wanted to make a shelter from scratch, I know you wouldn't have been able to sleep comfortably on your first day of camping after like forever, so I asked you to bring a tent, and brought one myself." Anna smiled, pulling out the tent that she had brought with her. "Wait… you told me to bring a tent?" Lance asked in a confused voice. "Huh?!" Anna yelled out. "You didn't bring your own tent?! She asked, sounding a little angry. "Y-Yeah..? I-I don't remember hearing you telling me to bring a tent…" He sweatdropped, looking disappointed in himself. "That means this is our only tent, then..?" Anna looked at the bag she's holding.

"Don't' worry, I'll just sleep outside. It wouldn't be my first time anyway" Lance said, looking at the tree stump that he placed his equipment in. "No, that just won't do" The archer sighed. "I don't want you to have a terrible night, after such a fun day" She pulled things off her bag, and began to set up the tent. "Really, I'm fine… Besides, where else would I sleep then?"

"Oh gosh…" Lance thought to himself, balling into the left side of the tent. "Why did I agree to this… again?!" He felt his warm breaths make his face even redder and hotter than it already was. "And why doesn't she seem nervous in the slightest..?" Lance peeked at Anna, who was facing the other side of the tent. "I'm getting way too tensed up…" He frowned, lightly slapping himself. "Geez… Stop being so nervous..!" He heard the archer speak, causing him to jolt a little. He stayed a little silent, before looking back at the girl. "Nervous..? W-what? Haha…" He tried to speak as clear as he could. "You're such an idiot…" She mumbled, burying her face in her pillow. "Huh?" Lance rubbed his temple.

"I… trust you…" She lifted her head up a little. "I know I'm safe around you, even if we were alone…" the girl sighed lightly. "You'll protect me, wouldn't you?" Anna peeked a little, revealing her face, which was evidently red, and just as nervous-looking as Lance's. "He was taken aback with all her kind words. He felt his heart beat faster. "Why wouldn't I..?" Lance said with a smile, slowly looking at Anna, who quickly buried her face on her pillow again. A muffled squeal was very obvious though, something put a grin on the boy's face.

"Anna…" … "Yeah..?"

"Do you want to go camping some other time, too..?" Anna heard Lance softly ask. A soothing voice that she'd always loved hearing. "Sure… Why not?" She very gently put her hand near Lance's, who immediately just held it. "Just tell me if you wanted to hold hands!" He Lance teased. "Shut Up! I was just moving my hand when you held it!" Anna's voice muffled halfway through, as she buried her face on his pillow again.

"Just admit that you wanted to hold it~!"

"SHUT UP!"
