max is 7*
Max spent a lot of his young life with bluey as Chloe was always at work and struggled to make money. Especially after Mackenzie was declared missing in action in Afghanistan. Luckily she had bluey and her parents to help take care of max.
Max always missed his mum and dad. But he had bluey,jean luc and eventually hunter where here. Bluey and jean were like parents to him in a way.
Today was Valentine's Day. And Chloe was working.
Max sat on the couch next to hunter
(Hunter is 3 so he can talk and stuff like muffin)
Max was really sad. He missed his mum a lot.
Hunter: What's wrong?
Max: Nothing much... just miss my mum.
max's pointy ear drooped down to his floppy ears level
Bluey walked in and noticed Max's sad expression. She could tell when he was in a bad mood.
Bluey: Aw what's wrong max?
Max: It's just that. Today is Valentine's Day and my mum is working and I want to see her. She has been lonely since my dad passed in the war... *shudder*
Bluey petted little max on the head
Bluey Don't worry sweetheart. Your mum misses you to. And you'll be able to see her!
Bluey then gave both pups a kiss as she went to the kitchen to cook breakfast

Chloe Sat in her car on break.
All she could think about was max. And then she thought about Mackenzie. She truly believed he was dead.
(If you have read adult bluey 1 and I love you son you would know this isn't the case...)
She was struggling. Luckily she had her parents,bluey and many other friends who were here for her and helping her. But she wished she could spend time with her little max. But she had to make money to support him. She didn't receive a penny of Mackenzie's pension due to him being M.I.A and not K.I.A And the veterans administration completely neglecting Mackenzie's case.
All she wanted was to spend this day with her pup. But she had to work this crappy job. She didn't know what to do at this point. She knew she would have to find a way to get off of work to see her son.

Max sat on the couch looking like sad Dante
Max:
Hunter tried to cheer max up but he wouldn't budge
Hunter: max it's gonna be ok-
Max: life is meaningless...
Hunter: oh max
Jean walked into the front room yawning after his slumber.
Jean: happy Valentine's Day everyone!! *looks at max* what's wrong max?
Hunter: he is sad because his mummy is working
Jean knelt down to Max's level.
Jean: hey buddy. I know your feeling down. You see I went through something similar when I was your age.
Max: you did?
Jean: yup! My dad was an officer in this really elite police force in France called the gign!
Max: what do they do?
Max gave a small curious smile and wagged his tail for a second which was a Good sign
Jean: so you know swat right?
Max: yeah aren't you a swat man?
Jean: yup! I sure am! So what he and his team mates did was take down super dangerous bad guys! Even more dangerous bad guys that have bombs!
Hunter: S'engager pour la vie!!
Jean luc and hunter high fived
Max: what does that mean?
Jean luc: that is the motto for the gign! It means "enlist for life"
Max: that's awesome!
Jean: yup! And the thing was. I missed him all the time! He was constantly working to locate and catch these bad guys before they could hurt good people! He missed me and my mom everyday and always thought about us. When I was your age I was even a little mad at him. Until one day I learned that he was keeping us safe and helping make money to keep us stable. He retired when we came to America when he got a promotion in his new office job!
Max felt a little better. He was only 7 and didn't know much. But he felt better knowing that his mum. He loved his mum with all his heart and even though he was a little pup he would always protect her and care for her. Just like she does for him. And at the same time. Bluey and jean were like parents to him. They always took care of him alongside his grandparents on both sides. And his many cousins! But bluey and jean were his favorite people to stay with. For as long as he can remember bluey was one of his main babysitters and his relationship with jean was very strong. Along with Chloe in a strange way bluey and jean were his parents.
After breakfast hunter,jean and bluey decided to help max do something nice for Chloe.
Bluey: hey max!
Max: yes aunt bluey?
Jean: do you wanna make a gift for your mum?
Max: yes of course!!
They then got some things to make a small drawing with all kinds of arts and crafts supplies around them
They then began to put together a small drawing.
Max and hunter drew as bluey and jean helped apply plastic hearts
Soon they made a small drawing full of hearts and notes telling Chloe how much they loved her and how much they appreciated what she does for max.
Max and hunter were both feeling a little tired after and were ready for a nap. But max had something to say to bluey and jean
Soon hunter headed upstairs to lay down
But before max followed behind
Max: hey aunt bluey and uncle jean.
Jean: yeah buddy?
Max: I just wanna say thank you.
Bluey: no problem sweetheart! Your mum will love it.
Max: yup! But. Uh. I have something else I wanna say.
Jean: what's up!
Max: well... I love my mum with all my heart and she is the biggest part of my life. But I've always felt in a way... uh. That you guys are like my parents.
Bluey and jean:
Max: it's because... um. My mum is always at work.. and we'll ever since I was born you have helped take care of me. Alongside my grandparents,uncle and cousins and everyone else. And well. I love you guys.
(He's 7 let him ramble lol)
Jean and bluey grinned at max
Bluey then quickly scooped him up into her arms causing him to giggle!
Bluey: we love you to little pup!
Jean luc; we will always be here for you champ!
Soon max headed upstairs to take a nap.
Bluey and jean watched over the little pups sleeping. Their arms wrapped around each other. Max had small little twitches in his sleep due to the beatings he took in the Brisbane riots. (Read the prequel stories for more info)
Jean: I love these kids.
Bluey: so do I!
Jean and bluey kissed
Jean: happy Valentine's Day babe.
Bluey: I love you.
They soon both laid next to the pups and protectively wrapped their Arms around them as they covered up and drifted off to sleep.
later at chloe's work*
Chloe was called into the office by her boss
Chloe's boss: ms Hudson
Chloe: may I help you sir?
Chloe's boss: seeing that it's Valentine's Day. And well you haven't seen your boy since yesterday morning. I've decided to release you early.
Chloe: oh my goodness! Thank you!
Chloe's boss: my pleasure!
Chloe shook his hand,gathered her things and began to head home!
Bluey,jean,hunter and max woke up to a knock on the door.
Jean slowly got up and went downstairs to answer the door.
It was Chloe!
Jean: oh hey!
Chloe: hey jean! Happy Valentine's Day!
Jean: I'm guessing your here for max!
Chloe: yup! I've missed him!
Jean: I bet you have! Don't worry! We've taken great care of him!
Chloe: thank you guys so much!
Jean: no problem! Oh max! Someone is here for you!!
Max: coming!!!
Max hugged jean luc and bluey goodbye for the day as he grabbed his drawing and rushed downstairs
Max: MUMMY!!
Chloe: MAX!!
Max jumped into her arms as she hugged him tight
Max: I missed you!
Chloe: I missed you to hun!
Like usual jean luc shook Max's hand and they saluted each other like officers.
Chloe and max waved goodbye and drove a few blocks away to their home.
Once they made it inside max pulled out his drawing and presented it to Chloe
Chloe: is- is this for me? *tremble*
Max: yup! I love you mum!
Chloe: I- I love it!!!! i love you to!!
Chloe gave a huge grin and hugged her son super tight.
Chloe bought max his favorite chocolates and a new transformers toy for Valentine's Day.
Him and Chloe played and bonded all day.
And that night they laid down cuddling under the covers. Max buried his head into Chloe's chest and Chloe nuzzled max giving him a kiss on the forehead as they fell asleep. This was truly the greatest Valentine's Day of both of their lives
