Eric was all set for his big online video game competition. He was fully determined to prove himself to be the best at his new X Box racing game.
Ding dong! It was the pizza he had ordered, because you can't have a serious competition without having energy!
After filling up on pizza and soda, he started his competition.
He was crushing the competition as he predicted. Until this racer called 'Tough cookies' showed up and challenged him.
'Okay, let's see what you got!' He said, confidently.
'Tough cookies' ended up trounching him for 6 straight races. And no matter what Eric did, he couldn't beat it!
'How, is this happening?!' He thought.
4 races later, he was still losing!
'Oh why do I bother?!' 'No, no, that is the attitude of losers! And you are not a loser!' He told himself.
Then he got a notice that 'Tough cookies' wanted to video chat.
'Hey there racer! How goes the losing?' It was Nell
'What?! Nell?! You're 'Tough cookies'?' Eric almost couldn't believe it.
'Actually, we both are.' Hetty said.
'Wait, what?! What is happening here?! Have I been beaten by both my partner and boss at a racing game?!'
'WiFi over at my place went over, I called Hetty and she said I could play over at her place. She was mostly just supplying the food, but after watching me beat you a few times, she decided to join in for a few races. I'm surprised at how good she is!' Nell replied, proud of herself.
'I can't believe it. I'm being beaten by 2 girls that I work with! This is such a bruise to my ego!'
'Oh be quiet, drama queen!' Hetty rang in.
Eric tried as hard as he could, but alas. He had to give up after 25 races with no win.
'Beaten by my partner and boss. What's more humiliating then that?!' He moaned.
