So it has been a minute! I'm kind of going with the flow with my writing and writing where the muse takes me for my stories. Lots of great story ideas for Belladonna so I'm excited to continue.

Also, I know the movie didn't have a long timeline in terms of events, but I've expanded it a lot in this story. Coronation won't take place for another two weeks! Lots of room for story now!

Don't forget to follow/favorite/review! And enjoy the chapter!

I had to wait about ten minutes before a freshly clean and dressed Ben all but sprinted out of the locker rooms only to nearly crash into me.

"Belladonna! Is Mal still here? I wanted to see her after the game." Ben said, practically bouncing up and down. I knew the spell would calm down a bit by the next day but right now he was like a hyperactive puppy dog.

"She's in our room. She's very excited and very flattered by your performance Ben, but she is also entirely overwhelmed." I said, stopping him from going past me. He faltered at my words.

"Oh, I never meant to upset her." he said, a little dejected. Poor thing.

"It's not that she's upset Ben. Remember our conversation about growing up differently? That's a big factor. Plus, not to spill Mal's business, she's never had a boyfriend before. Declaring your love for her to the entire school just was a little too much for her to take." I explained, patting him in the shoulder.

"Ugh, I should have thought of that! Of course it would be. I just…I love her so much Belladonna and I just couldn't stand hiding it anymore." he said so eager it made the guilt in me rise up even more.

This could really be Ben's true emotions if we had more time. My gut was telling me that it could be. So even if he was spelled and even if this was a part of Mal's master plan, I was determined to foster the real feelings that could be between both.

"I get it. Believe me we all got caught up in your song, although Evie took mine a lot better. But we've been together for over a year now. It might be better to approach Mal with some smaller gestures of your love for a bit ok?" I advised. He nodded, that positivity and eagerness overflowing again.

"What do you think I should do?" he asked.

"Well, why don't we go to the greenhouse. Let's find something that suits Mal and then you can come back with me to our room and apologize for going a little overboard and then actually ask Mal to be your girlfriend. How about that?" I offered.

"You're a genius!" he exclaimed, pulling me into a tight hug. He didn't seem to notice the flinch I first gave and I was able to give him a pat on the back before he let me go.

"Believe me I have my moments. Now show me the greenhouse." I said.

We thankfully didn't run into anyone before we got there. It was huge with tons of plants, flowers, and vegetation crammed into the space. It was made of entirely glass and the ceiling was stained glass in a beautiful rose display. There were two rows of hanging plants on the ceiling as well, with beautiful flowers overflowing in them.

"Should I give her roses?" Ben asked, looking over the vast colors that were offered in the greenhouse.

"Maybe not at first. Let's arrange some type of bouquet that reminds you of Mal. Evie had to study flowers and their meanings so that means I learned it to so I could help her. We can come up with something nice for Mal I'm sure." I said giving him a smile.

He really was like an over eager puppy. He knew florals just as much as I did so it didn't take long before we came up with a nice bouquet.

First we had picked out purple carnation to symbolize spontaneity. Next I found purple delphinium that I added to the arrangement. While it symbolized positive change, if you added too much it would be poisonous, a fact that Mal would appreciate. Ben argued with me a little on it but in the end let me add it. Next was purple hibiscus, these were always admired for their dainty beauty but also stood to represent love and life. The last we added were blue morning glories, to symbolize love that would last for eternity. I also added in some little white flowers and greenery to break it up. After wrapping it in black and purple ribbon, we deemed it worthy enough a bouquet to give to Mal.

"Now remember, speak calmly. You are about to be a King, I'm sure you can tone it down a bit for Mal. After you ask her to be your girlfriend, which I'm sure she will say yes to, arrange your first date, and then bid her goodnight. We all go to school together, you will see her in the morning." I explained, trying to give him last minute advice before we made it back to my room.

"Man Belladonna I don't know what I would do without you." Ben said, looking a little nervous but otherwise calm.

"Well you won't have to find out for now. If there's anyone who knows how to romance someone from the Isle, it'll be me." I joked causing him to laugh and hopefully calm the last of his nerves.

When we made it to my room I poked my head through the door. It was just Mal and Evie, the boys hadn't made it back yet. Evie was sitting on the side of Mal's bed while Mal was sitting by the headboard clutching a pillow to her chest.

"We up for a visit?" I asked causing the two girls to look at me.

I silently let myself and Ben walk in, closing the door behind us. Mal's eyes widened and she looked a little panicky before schooling her features.

"Hello ladies." Ben said, giving a smile to the two.

"Hi Ben." they both replied. Evie looked positively devious while Mal was a little more subdued. Then their eyes were drawn to the flowers.

"Um, I just wanted to give these to you Mal. As an apology." Ben started, walking over to the purple haired fairy and handing her the bouquet. Mal's eyes were wide taking in the flowers and then looked to Ben in confusion.

"Apology?" she asked.

"I…I have been a little blind ever since you guys showed up. And today at the lockers I just realized I was in love with you. And I just got so pumped at the tourney game and I wanted to tell the whole world, but…I didn't even talk to you about it first. I'm sorry if I embarrassed you or if I overwhelmed you. I never intended to do that." he apologized.

"No..it's cool. I…I really appreciated it, but yeah I just…didn't like all the stares." Mal said, acting bashfully but I could tell not all of it was an act.

"I also wanted to give these flowers to you to ask you properly, if you would be my girlfriend and come to the coronation as my date? I wouldn't want anyone else beside me." he said, looking at her full of hope and love. Evie was practically bouncing in place at the display.

"Yeah…Yeah Ben I would like that." Mal said, a small smile on her face as she pulled the flowers closer to her.

"Amazing. That's amazing! Thank you" Ben said, before quickly leaning over and kissing her cheek. The kiss lasted only a second but they both just wouldn't stop staring in each other's eyes.

"Saturday." I coughed, reminding him of the last part of the speech. Evie held in a laugh while Ben only blushed.

"Oh yeah… I know this really great spot outside of school. Would you maybe want to come with me on Saturday? Like a date? Our first date?" he asked her. Mal nodded again making him grin even wider. His face might get stuck that way.

"Great. That's great, really so great. Mal I'm so happy right now and I have you to thank for that…I guess I better get going, I'm kind of tired after playing all that tourney then breaking out into a dance number." he joked causing us all to have a light laugh.

"Have a good night Ben. And thanks again. For these." Mal said, giving the flowers a small sniff.

"Just be careful of the delphinium, it's poisonous if theres too much." Ben said, a little hesitantly but that only made Mal grin wide.

"You got me poisonous flowers! Wicked." she said, taking in the flowers even more.

"Have a good night Ben. We will see you tomorrow." Evie said, leading him out the door before closing and locking it. There was a moment of silence before Evie let out a squeal.

"He got you flowers! And they're purple! And he decorated them with black and green! I know you must have helped Donna but still! It's so romantic." Evie gushed.

"He did a lot of it on his own, to be honest. And although it's not a bouquet I did manage to sneak this." I said, pulling the red rose I had found there for Evie.

Evie's face softened and a pretty blush flew on her cheeks as she accepted the flower and kiss I gave her.

"Thank you." she said, brushing a looser strand of hair behind my ear.

"The potion is working without a hitch. And we are one step closer to the wand!" Mal crowed, practically jumping on the bed.

"Today is certainly a victory." I said, leaving interpretation up in the air.

"Thanks for corralling Ben a bit D. That was…a lot." Mal said but I could tell a lot was on her mind.

"Be sure to leave a good review for that spell." I joked causing them both to laugh. It didn't escape my notice though, as we were getting ready for bed, that Mal's eyes wouldn't stop looking over to the bouquet on her nightstand.

The next day we were greeted by Ben at the doorway.

"Morning ladies!" he said as we accepted the dorm. Mal jumped practically a foot in the air.

"Woah. Um, hey Ben." she greeted.

"I was wondering, Mal, if I could walk you to class?" he asked, nervous. Mal looked hesitant but I elbowed her in the side. Mal this will work for both of our plans, come on.

"Yeah, that sounds really nice. Thanks Ben." she said with a small smile. Ben reached out for her hand and after a quick push from Evie she took it and they started walking away. Before turning the corner, Ben turned to give me a thumbs up. I returned it with a laugh.

I'm pretty sure I heard Mal call him a dork but maybe I was hearing things.

"I love how you're being his wingwoman." Evie said with a giggle.

"Someone's got to do it." I replied, taking her hand in my own.

"Can I walk you to class Princess?" I teased.

"Well of course." she said, taking my arm and wrapping it around her shoulders instead.

The rest of the day was pretty ordinary until it came time for Music class.

"Ok class. Let's rehearse the music for Family Day! That's two weeks from now! We need to get Belladonna integrated in the choreography." she began.

"What! Why does she get to be in the number?" Aurora practically shouted, foaming at the mouth. She was certainly not happy with the VK's today, despite being practically in Chad's lap.

"Belladonna is a part of this class and it is required of my class to perform on Family Day. So she is in the number Princess Audrey." Ms Coda said, giving her a pointed look. I had to resist laughing at the looks on the new couple's faces.

"The song is Be Our Guest, from King Beast and Queen Belle's story. Ben's leading it, but he doesn't need to be in our typical music classes to know what to do." Lonnie explained to me as we all got up.

"Lucky him." I said making her laugh.

The choreography was easing enough to pick up as well as the song. It didn't take too long for me to get it down.

The only downside was the dress code. I had to wear a dress and it couldn't be in black. I never really wore dresses. Today's outfit was no exception. I was in black jeans with holes at the knees and one on my upper right thigh, along with a gold shirt that had lantern sleeves, black fingerless gloves, a necklace with an apple on it, and black low heeled boots with custom gold paint on them designed with the names of all my friends. I would have to ask Evie to help me make something. I only really trusted her to know what would suit me best.

"You in a dress! Oh my God I'd pay money to see that." Jay laughed when I told the others after we were in our room. He got a pillow thrown in his face.

"Don't worry Donna, I'll make you look stunning." Evie promised, giving me a soft kiss.

"Well we can't do it tonight. We have plans." I said, getting off of my bed. That made her pause.

"We do?" she asked, confused. I gave her a smile.

"Surprise. Come on." I said, holding out my hand to her.

"Donna, I'm not even ready! I'm a mess." Evie said looking down at herself.

Hardly. She was stunning. Today she was wearing a blue denim dress that was tapered in at the waist and had buttons on the top half with the first two buttons undone. It had long sleeves that she had rolled up to her elbows and she wasn't wearing gloves today, but an apple ring on her right hand. She was in black tights that had little darker dots on them and blinged out white sneakers. She had her hair up again today, but her crown was still there and her emblem was embroidered on the back of the dress.

"You look beautiful more and more every single day. Besides, it's nothing fancy. Just some alone time for the both of us." I said with a smile.

"Go on Evie!" Carlos said, a smile on his face. Dude barked from his lap in agreement. With another smile and another kiss, Evie and I left the others, walking the halls hand and hand.

"Where are we going Donna?" Evie asked me, tugging on my hand in excitement.

"It's a surprise." I reminded, kissing her hand despite the pout she gave me. It was a little bit of a walk outside of campus, but we still made it to the location just after 4pm.

"Here we are." I said, Evie looked around, a little confused before she saw the sign on the establishment.

"Johnny Appleseed's Apple Farm?" Evie said, her voice came off breathy and her eyes were wide as she took in the area around her.

"I figured you and I could do a little apple picking?" I suggested, suddenly a bit nervous I maybe made the wrong call for our first official date in Auradon. The jump into my arms and kiss that followed afterwards told me otherwise.

"This is perfect" Evie whispered against my lips.

The apple farm was pretty picturesque. The red and white farm was pristine and bright against the background of acres of farmland and hundreds of apple trees. You only had to pay a small fee to get in and you could pick as many apples that could be carried in their baskets. They also had a small gift shop and refreshment area, all themes of apples of course.

"Okay Princess, where should we go first?" I asked, holding the basket in my arms.

"Red Delicious of course!" She said, practically running to the designated trees. Since we were holding hands I was pulled along with her but it only brought a smile to my face. There were not many people at the farm today which suited us just fine.

I followed Evie as she took in the apple trees surrounding her. She felt each and every apple she could, choosing the best ones to put in our basket. She chose twelve Red Delicious before she decided it was time to move onto other parts of the farm. The basket wasn't even half full. She ended up getting 8 Pink Ladies, 4 Honey Crisp, and we were currently grabbing a few Granny Smith's when she turned to me suddenly and threw her arms around me again. I nearly dropped the basket but was able to wrap one arm around her waist tightly.

"You ok Evie?" I asked softly. She nodded her head into my neck.

"You could have taken me to so many places and done so many things, but you took me to an apple farm. You're just following me around as I talk about the best time to pick certain apples and carrying the basket and just… being you. I couldn't ask for a better girlfriend. I love you so much." she said into my ear.

Overcome by my own love her, I dropped the basket down as gently as I could before I took her face into my hands and kissed her. Her own hands ended up in my hair, tugging on the thick part of my braid. One of my hands trailed down to her waist and pulled her close as we continued the kiss. I let my tongue run across her lips and this breathy little moan came from her and it only spurred me on more. Before I knew it I had her pressed against one of the apple trees as I was determined to feast on the taste of her. I felt like my blood was boiling as her tongue joined my own.

I had to pull away for breath eventually and we were both gasping as we looked into each other's eyes. I buried my face in her neck, determined to commit this to memory. The smell of Evie mixed with the smell of the apple trees, it only caused me to start kissing her neck as well. Her very skin tasted sweet and her hands only tightened in my hair at the attention I was giving her neck.

"Donna" she whimpered out, her voice high in a way I had never heard before and it only made me want to hear it more. My kisses reached down her neck until I was at the base of her neck and shoulder.

Suddenly, one of her legs wrapped around my waist like she was trying to climb me. Without breaking from her neck, I wrapped my arms around her legs so she could wrap around me. Using her strength she pulled me even closer with her legs so we were pressed against each other. My hands were tight on her thighs and the smooth skin that was waiting for me. My kisses had turned harder and I was determined to leave a mark where no one could see, of course, but I would know it was there.

"Oh God Donna." Evie moaned out again, tugging my hair hard enough for me to pull away. I thought I had pushed her too far, prepared to apologize, but she continued to tug on my hair til my head was arching back and my own neck was exposed. Then Evie, beautiful wonderful erotic Evie, started kissing my own neck, but she seemed determined to leave marks everywhere her lips could reach.

"Evie…" I moaned out, my voice low and drawing out her name at the pleasure I was feeling from the blue haired princess.

When she seemed satisfied she came back up and kissed me on the lips again. Only this time, we allowed ourselves to slow down, coming down from the high of what we had been doing. Evie's hands left my hair and wrapped around my neck as I lowered her back on the ground.

When we finally stopped we just stared into each others eyes.

"You're mine Belladonna." She whispered, like it was a secret. Like I hadn't been hers since the moment I met her.

"And you are mine, Evie. I love you too." I whispered back, running a hand down her face.

When we pulled away from each other after a few moments, I picked the basket back up and wrapped my free arm around her waist.

"I hear the farm has an apple pie to die for." I proposed, knowing we both needed to eat even if we decided to indulge ourselves on some sweets.

"I'm ravenous." Evie said, a dark teasing smile on her face.

"Don't tempt me Princess." I warned playfully.

We ended up having more than pie. We had warm apple cider along with savory sausage and cheese stuffed apples. And then we had the pie with vanilla ice cream. I ended up purchasing a pack of the apple cider prepared in bottles to take home to the others before we left the farm.

The woman at the cashier counter wouldn't stop staring at my neck though which prompted me to ask Evie a question.

"Evie, exactly how many marks are on my neck right now?"

The smile fit for the devil was my answer. And it only made me warm.

The teasing of the others when we got back only served to redden both of our cheeks. But they did appreciate the apple cider and array of apples so, to me, this was the end of the perfect date.

The poor Auradon royals didn't know what to do the next day. I was not ashamed of my love for Evie nor the marks she had left, literally all over my neck. So today I wore a black long sleeve shirt that was tight on the sleeves and had a square neckline that showed everything Evie had left behind. I wore a gold choker and some necklaces to make it not so obvious. I was wearing loose gold pants and black open toed sandal heels with the high heel I liked to wear. My hair was in a high ponytail and I decided to wear black stud earrings today as well.

Eyes seemed to follow me everywhere throughout the day. Poor Jane could barely look at me. It only caused me endless amusement.

It was in Strategy and Tactics that it got really interesting. I had managed to get to class a little earlier than usual so I was already in my seat by the time Ben and Chad came in. Ben's eyes went wide and his cheeks flushed a little pink when he saw the many hickeys left behind on me. Auradon is so shy when it comes to physical affection it seems, but I can't really understand why.

Chad on the other hand got his nasty look on his face. Instead of going to his seat though, he dropped his bag down by it before coming over and leaning over on desk. He had placed his hands on either end and leaned in close, as if expecting me to back away, but I would never and so I stayed still.

"As you can clearly tell Chad I'm happily taken so I don't see why you are so close to me." I drawled. The other boys were silent as they watched us.

"Very funny. Exactly what did you buy her to show you that kind of appreciation I wonder?" Chad sneered. I cocked my head and smirked at him.

Chad was transparent. I knew he was trying to get a rise out of me.

"I took her apple picking if you must know." I said.

"Apple picking? Really? What makes you think she'll stay with you when someone richer comes along huh?" Chad pushed again.

"Chad." Ben admonished, the shock clear in his tone. I simply held my hand up to show that I had it handled.

"Well Chad, unlike your new girlfriend, mine does not need money and riches thrusted upon her. We never needed it before and we don't need it now…she is plenty satisfied with what I have to offer." I said, leaning back in my seat.

"Watch what you say about Audrey, at least she isn't marking me up like a beast." he snapped at me.

"Chad!" Ben snapped, looking particularly not pleased with him using the b word.

"Now Chad be reasonable…" I said leaning back into him.

"Just because you don't see any marks on Evie doesn't mean I didn't leave any behind." I said. A bunch of the boys laughed at the look on Chad's face.

"Learn to pick your battles Chad, you won't win one against me." I forewarned, examining my nails to further piss him off.

Mr. Barker came in the room then and called us all to order. Chad sulked back over to his own desk, sitting down and practically pouting in his seat. Like a child.

"Ok class before we begin, a reminder that your group presentations are due in two weeks time. If you haven't started by Family Day next week I can assure you a good grade will not be in your future." he began.

"Now. Xavier. We haven't gone over your parent's story. Let's give that a try." he said. I held back the tension in my body as much as I could. Great. Just what I needed.

"What could Rapunzel and Flynn Rider have done differently? Let's begin the discussion by going down the line." Mr. Barker suggested.

Everyone gave an answer when it was their turn, of course. Some of their theories on what to do better were pretty reaching. Chad's comment of Rapunzel should have realized what was going on sooner was especially not well received.

"Belladonna. You are awfully quiet." Mr. Barker said when we got to me.

"Yeah…To be honest. I don't know if they could have done any better. Rapunzel was kidnapped as a baby and lied to and manipulated for years. Gothel was her world. Why wouldn't she believe what her mother said…And Flynn Rider, yeah he was a thief, but life wasn't exactly sunshine for him either. It takes…great courage to break away from what you have known all your life. They both showed that when they met each other. I guess the one thing I could say would be Flynn rider shouldn't have gone into the Tower blindly. He had an inkling of what Gothel was capable of but even that should have given him pause. Gothel was truly the blackest and evilest witch ever known. They did their best, truly, and it was thankfully enough." I explained my reasoning.

"You are correct that it does take great courage to break away from what you know. Very insightful Belladonna." Mr. Barker praised before moving onto the next person.

I didn't speak the rest of class.

When it came time to leave I got up quickly but quietly.

"Donna!" Evie cried from the middle of the hallway, running over and throwing herself in my arms. I held her tight, letting myself lean into her neck and inhale her perfume.

"Donna?" she asked concerned. I pulled away though, already feeling better, and gave her a smile.

"You keep me balanced." I said. She smiled and leaned up to give me soft kiss before we made our way to lunch.

"Our chemistry test is tomorrow so you really have to help me study ok? Oh, maybe we can ask Doug to help? I really want to do good and shove it in Mr. Deley's face." Evie asked me.

"Of course I'll help you Princess." I said, being rewarded with a beaming Evie smile. We sat down at our usual table once we got our food.

"Where's the others?" I asked after a few minutes of just the two of us. Evie looked around for a moment, frowning.

"I don't see them. Let me use my mirror." she said, digging through her bag . She held out the little mirror next to us.

"Magic mirror look across the land, show me where my friends stand." She recited. The magic in the mirror activated and the purple smoke from inside cleared to show flashes of all three. Carlos was on the quad, walking with Dude, a sandwich already in hand. Jay was by the lockers flirting with a cheerleader. Then it went to Mal who was walking hand and hand with Ben where they were picking out food from.

"Ok cool, they'll all be here soon." Evie said, tucking the mirror back inside. I kissed her cheek before turning back to eat some more of my salad.

"You ok Donna?" Evie asked, concerned.

"It was Tactics. We talked about…We talked about Xavier's parents and their story. Just got me stuck in my head a little." I admitted to her. She leaned over and pressed a kiss to the side of my head.

"Have you ever thought about telling them?" she asked me. I shook my head.

"I think it's better this way. I don't need my family drama involved with whatever we plan on doing about the wand." I explained.

"Well you know the plan baby-" "Do I?" I cut in, looking at her.

"Do any of us? Yeah we have Ben but that's just one part of it. For that matter, what exactly could your parents do if we fail?" I asked. She was silent for a moment.

"Nothing. They can't do anything about it because they are on the Isle and we are here. But if we do fail, Auradon would throw us back on that awful rock. I think we can be happy here Evie." I said, taking her hand in mine.

"I really think we could be happy here. Carlos is over his fear of dogs. Jay's free from his father's constant need for a score and can just enjoy being a teenager. Mal…I think Mal and Ben could actually have something there." I continued.

"And you and me?" she asked.

"I'm always going to be happy with you, no matter what land we are in. But here we can have a future Evie. A proper one…I'm not asking you to make any decisions. Just…think about what I said ok?" I asked her, raising her hand and pressing a kiss against it.

"I will Donna. Promise." she whispered, giving me a soft smile.

"Hey guys!" Ben called as he and Mal walked over and sat down at the table.

"You guys ok?" Mal asked, knowing something was up like she always did.

"More than." Evie assured her with a wide smile before scooting closer to me and resumed eating.

"Did you wanna hang out with us after school Ben?" Mal asked, putting on a little bit of her charmer/look at me i'm a proper girlfriend voice. At least that's what it sounded like to me.

"I can't. I'm going horseback riding with my mom. My parents keep freaking out because I don't know who I want to be my Royal Advisor yet." Ben explained.

"Wait, you don't know?" Evie asked, shocked. The soon-to-be king looked nervous.

"I mean…I know what people expect. Who people expect. But maybe I want to be unexpected. I don't know." Ben tried to explain.

"Think of it like this Ben. Your dad's legacy is uniting Auradon as one and bringing peace to the lands. Lumiere was the one who was best to do that, especially because of his way with words and charming disposition in peace talks. Think of what you want to be remembered as a king. And then go with a person you trust and can help you on that journey." I explained.

"That's really smart. Thanks D!" Ben said with a wide grin.

With Ben not being around that night the VK's all stayed in the boys room. The boys attempted to teach Mal the video game that was set up in the room while Evie and I studied quietly at the table. Evie really had nothing to worry about. She had known the basics on the Isle and with the quality education we had in Auradon, her intelligence was only flourishing.

When it came time for the test, I didn't think anything could go wrong.

Chad Charming definitely tried to prove me wrong.

We were in the middle of the test when Evie's pencil broke.

"Shoot." I heard her whisper before leaning down in her bag to find a new one. Just as she did, Mr. Deley's hand shot in front of her and grabbed her magic mirror from inside the bag.

"Looking for something?" he said, arrogant and with a sneer on his face. Both of us looked at him in confusion. She was looking for a pencil.

"Thank you Chad." he said, turning to the entirely too smug looking prince. Damn, he must have seen her use it at lunch yesterday. My eyes narrowed at the blonde.

"It's gratifying to see that someone still respects the honor code. It will be my recommendation that you be expelled." he continued.

"Mr. Deley I-" "Don't waste your words on him Princess. It's clear Mr. Deley doesn't see what is going on here." I said, placing a hand on Evie. My mind was racing, trying to think of what to say to both of these arrogant pricks.

"Excuse me?" the man spluttered.

"It may have escaped your notice Mr. Deley, but Evie was simply going for a pencil. The evidence showing that is the obvious broken pencil on the desk, and the new one in her hand. Also we are girls, Mr. Deley. If you can find one without a mirror in her purse, then please point me in the right direction. Whatever Chad has told you is continued discrimination against us, that has been going on since our arrival here. Ask anyone in the room, the boy practically called me a slut yesterday in class." I said, digging into the story and trying to make both of them humiliated as I sought justice for Evie.

"I didn't say that-" "Now see here Belladonna!" they floundered.

"Now you can keep the mirror if you so choose, I can buy her dozens more." I fibbed, ignoring Evie squeezing my hand.

"But I wonder what Fairy Godmother or even Queen Belle would say when I report you for discouraging young women and their intelligence, accusing her of cheating being the only way she could succeed in your class. Please hypothesize how that might go." I warned him.

That did it.

"We shall see what happens if she passes the test." he said, red in the face.

"When. Now go away, you are disrupting our concentration." I dismissed him before turning to Evie who was looking freaked out.

"Take a deep breath. You didn't need any help before, you don't need any help now. Show those assholes who they are messing with." I said. Her eyes grew determined before she nodded and went back to the test.

Once everyone turned in the tests, Mr. Deley had enough time to grade them. I could tell when he got to Evie's because his face turned a very bright shade of red.

"Do you think I passed?" Evie whispered next to me.

"Absolutely." I promised. Doug then took that moment to lean over as well.

"Yeah you did. You and Belladonna are like some of the smartest girls here." he praised. A pretty pink blush went across Evie's cheeks.

"Thanks Doug." I said with a smile.

Mr. Deley was silent when he passed back the tests. When he got to our table he handed Chad's face down. Whatever grade he had, Chad didn't like it by the look on his face. Doug's was handed back and a quick glance showed a 98. He got to me and mine was a 92, damn i knew that one question was wrong. When he placed down Evie's, she let out a squeal and snatched the test, hugging it to her chest.

96.

"I did it!" she said, throwing her arms around me. I smiled, squeezing her close.

"I'm so very proud of you." I praised. She leaned back to give me a kiss. She couldn't stop smiling.

"I'll take my mirror back Mr. Deley." Evie said to the man. "I need to make sure my lipstick didn't smudge." she dug at him.

I couldn't hold back the laugh and I knew Doug's coughing fit was an attempt to hide his own.

Evie was skipping out of the class when it was over. When we were in the hallway she threw herself in my arms again.

"It's like…I finally feel like I'm more than just a pretty face." she said. I circled my arms around her.

"You always have been. You are intelligent, passionate, creative, inspiring, loving, kind…You are never just going to be a pretty face Princess. No matter what your mother says." I told her.

"Congratulations on the grade Evie!" Doug said, breaking in the moment. He held up a hand for a high five which we both reciprocated.

"Thanks Doug. Better watch out, because I'm coming for the highest grade." she teased.

"Challenge accepted!" he cheered with a laugh.

"Let's deal with our last couple of classes before we have an academic decathlon." I joked.

At the sounds of their laughter I only had one thought in my head. I could get used to this.

Arithmacy was normal as usual, Jay seemed to be getting the hang of it more since we started. When Music class was over, after another awkward rehearsal with Chad and Audrey being their usual despicable selves I went to grab Evie from class only to find Mal pulling her along the hallway.

"Woah! Everything ok with you two?" I asked, concerned.

"It's Ben! He wants to have our date today!" Mal exclaimed, looking nervous beyond belief.

"Ok. Ok." I said. "Evie and I can help you," I continued.

"Yeah we got this, let's go." Evie affirmed before taking the lead back to our room.

Okay, showtime.
