Here is another one-shot! This time it's Dirtstripe pov! I hate this cat but got inspired to do a pov for him! This takes place right after the ending of Fire and Ice!

Darkstripe internally fumed as he viciously tore into a scrawny shrew. Leaf-bare was such a pain, fewer prey and having to give most of it away to useless elders that don't do anything other than complain and queens that could easily hunt for themselves and their whiny kits.
If Darkstripe had it his way he wouldn't be having to slave away hunting all day just to get it taken away by such undeserving cat's. He was the important one; he should be the one to eat the most and have the best pick of the prey. Everyone has fuzz-brains to think of putting vital warriors through hunger instead of allowing them to be served first.
Darkstripe's yellow eyes glanced over at the entrance to the medicine cat's den for what felt like the millionth time. Ever since they had returned from saving those rabbit-chasers Tigerclaw had been holed up in the medicine cat's den. Darkstripe wasn't worried about Tigerclaw, oh no, nothing could harm Tigerclaw, he's the greatest warrior alive and can handle almost anything.
No, the reason was Fireheart. That pathetic, deceptive, manipulative kittypet that didn't deserve a place in his Clan and who has deceived and manipulated Tigerclaw into somehow picking her for a mate was currently being seen by the softhearted fuzz for brain's medicine cat.
Darkstripe secretly hopes that whatever happens to the ugly kittypet that it would be debilitating and make the she-cat unable to fulfill her duties, making her a burden and allowing everyone to finally see just how useless she really is, and hopefully that would get her thrown out. Because why would Bluestar or Tigerclaw want to keep around someone like Fireheart if she can't perform her duties as a warrior.
What was taking them so long?! Darkstripe tossed away the bones, not bothering with burying them, someone else can do such a menial task, he himself had only received a few scratches from the fight that still stung but he was doing just fine. Either Fireheart had been gravely hurt or was just too weak to handle a full on fight.
Darkstripe deliberately ignored the fact that Fireheart had been in on the surprise attack on ShadowClan's camp back when she had been just an apprentice.
The black striped warrior looked up as the branches of the fern tunnel began rustling, eagerly he came to stand by the entrance but jolted back in surprise as Tigerclaw bolted out. Darkstripe had barely enough time to step aside to let his deputy pass him, wondering what in StarClan's name had gotten into Tigerclaw.
The ThunderClan deputy was walking towards Bluestar's den with his head held high, his chest puffed out and his amber eyes glowing with pride. Tigerclaw looked rather satisfied with something and apparently he needed to tell Bluestar as he disappeared inside their leader's den. Whatever it was, it must be important if the leader needed to be the first one told.
"--think he would?" Darkstripe snapped his head around and openly sneered as he saw Fireheart and Spottedleaf pass through the fern tunnel next, neither she-cat sparing him a passing glance as they moved around him.
"He seems rather excited." Spottedleaf murmured, sounding amused about something. Darkstripe watched as the ugly kittypets fur stuck up in embarrassment before she hastily tried to flatten it. "I wouldn't put it past him wanting everyone to know."
"But it would be so embarrassing if he did." Fireheart complained, looking helplessly at the medicine cat.
What would be embarrassing? Darkstripe felt a prickle of hope fill his chest. Was Tigerclaw going to publicly renounce being mates with Fireheart? Was that why he was going to Bluestar's den? To tell her to announce it to everyone so as to humiliate the interloper.
Darkstripe watched with smug delight as Tigerclaw exited their leaders den with Bluestar in tow. While Bluestar veered towards the Highrock, Tigerclaw made a straight shot towards Fireheart and pressed up against her side.
Fireheart didn't seem too concerned, but perhaps maybe the mouse-brained kittypet didn't fully know what was going to happen. While Tigerclaw seemed calm and collected, if a bit impatient for Bluestar's to make the announcement. Maybe Tigerclaw wanted to be close to Fireheart in order to see her be humiliated.
Darkstripe sat close by the pair as Bluestar yowl echoed throughout the camp. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!"
Darkstripe's Clanmates came out from their dens at their leader's summons, blinking confusedly as they began gathering together, none of them knowing what their leader was going to announce.
Fool's! Darkstripe thought as he sneered at their stupidity.
Darkstripe watched as Fireheart's reckless apprentice made her way towards her, the smoky dark-gray nuisance stopping to have a word with Fireheart, just as oblivious as the rest of Clan to what was about to happen, before settling down on the other side of Tigerclaw.
Darkstripe internally cursed himself at not thinking about sitting beside his greatest hero. Oh well, what's about to happen is going to make up for it.
"I have some important news to share with you all." Normally Bluestar, the softhearted leader that she was, wouldn't be so elated to share something so humbling. But seeing as Bluestar was taking as much pleasure as Darkstripe was at the kittypets inevitable humiliation in front of the entire Clan, Darkstripe let the leader's strange behavior slide.
"You have all fought bravely against both ShadowClan and RiverClan. This is something they won't soon forget and will most likely think twice about attacking ThunderClan."
The Clan let out meows of agreement. Darkstripe added his own meow of victory along with the rest. They truly did show those crowfood-eaters and fish-breaths a thing or two.
Bluestar let the Clan settle down before continuing with the rest of what she had to say. "I am also happy to announce--"
Darkstripe wiggled in place. Fully filled with anticipation as he looked over at Fireheart from the corner of his eye. The ugly orange pelted she-cat seemed nervous, constantly glancing at Tigerclaw for reassurance; he leaned over and touched her ear with his nose, but both of their attention stayed mostly fixed on their leader.
Here it comes!
"That we are going to be receiving more kits in the Clan soon. Tigerclaw has just told me that he and Fireheart are expecting their first litter of kits; it has been confirmed by Spottedleaf."
For a moment Darkstripe could only stare blankly up at his leader. All his thoughts flying right out of his ears. Did…did he just hear that correctly?
Cinderpaw instantly sprung to her paws and let out a loud yowl of joy.
As if breaking the ice, sound gradually swelled from the assembled cats, a mixture of yowls and purrs and voices calling, "Congratulations!" all the Clan began to press around the now expecting queen, congratulating her and Tigerclaw. Fireheart seemed overwhelmed, but Tigerclaw was right at her side, quelling the crowd.
Darkstripe stayed where he was at. The dark striped tabby warrior was unable to wrap his mind around the news. It was just too much to handle. As everyone was busy with the happily beaming couple, Darkstripe silently slipped into the warrior's den and curled up in his nest.
So Fireheart hadn't been hurt. She was expecting Tigerclaw's kits.
Darkstripe wished that it had been something fatal instead.

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I have enjoyed writing it! (It was actually quite quick to write this. It practically wrote itself!)
Fun Facts;
Got inspired to write this because I never did a Clan pregnancy reveal and how everything reacted.
Darkstripe would be the best reactor to the pregnancy announcement! He just has more feelings on the matter. While everyone else would be happy he wouldn't be!
I had fun writing the angsty one-shots best as it turns out! Jealous Tigerclaw, upset Dirtstripe, etc…
Interpret Dirtstripes feelings towards Tigerclaw however you want whether it be romantic or hero worship. I'm seeing it as hero worship but some like it as a romantic/one-sided crush.
