'I hate dressing up.' I groaned as Chi-Chi tied my tie. 'I don't see why we have to go.'

Chi Chi was dragging Goten and me to some party for Bloomer and his dad.

'We're going to support Bloomer, who's practically your brother!'

'I don't think he cares if I'm there!'

I wanted to see and be with Vegan; she hadn't called me in forever. I yearned for her body and affection; sometimes, I wondered if I was in love with her.

'I told Yamcha to expect us.' Chi Chi grinned. 'Everything is going so well for them; hopefully, they will end the year with an engagement announcement.'

I don't know why she was so eager for Bloomer and Yamcha to marry.

'I don't think Bloomer is marrying type.' I pointed out.

'Why do you think that?'

'He didn't marry Vegan.'

'Goku, just because people have a baby together doesn't mean you have to stay together.'

Funny, when she came back, she kept hammering that we needed to stay together for the boys.

'So, we could have broken up after Gohan was born?'

I was curious to see what she'd say.

'We were already married when Gohan was born.' She said quickly.

'But I could have left; we fought a lot during our first year of marriage. Plenty of times, I wanted to leave.'

'We worked through that!'

'What about three years ago?'

'Because Goten-'

'But you just said-'

'Maybe Vegan's not marrying type.'

'I doubt it.'

'Why do you doubt it?'

'When she's a princess, and don't they tell them to have find a husband?'

'Bloomer is human-'

'You're human.'

'You were raised as a human.'

'I didn't know what married meant until I was 20.'

'Sayains probably didn't practice monogamy anyway.'

'Not true. When Vegan was 4, her father promised her a hand that sayain she came to Earth with.'

'She killed him, anyway, so-'

'So, what?'

'So I doubt that Vegan would be a good wife anyway.'

'She would.'

'Not better than Yamcha.'

'Is it because she's a sayain?'

'Yes.'

'I'm a sayain; are you saying I am a terrible husband?' I asked, offended.
'You could be better.' She teased.

'Then why did you come back?' I snapped.

I knew she was kidding, but she had a habit of pointing out to our friends that I would be a better mate if I were human. After a while, I got tired of it, especially when I had Vegan telling me that I was perfect.

'Why didn't you marry some perfect human?'

'Because I love you.' She replied, holding up her arms in surrender. 'Only joking, Goku.'

'You shouldn't make fun of my being a sayain.'

'Can't you take a joke?'

'Vegan would probably like it if I were her husband. Maybe I should have married her.'

'How dare you say that!'

'Can't you take a joke?' I sneered.

I smiled, and she turned red. 'Hurry up and get ready.' She stormed.

We were supposed to meet up at Capsule Corp with everyone, and we'd ride together with them and Krillen, Eighteen, and their daughter, Marron.

When we got there, Krillin and his family were just arriving. We exchanged pleasantries, then went inside. Eighteen seemed a bit icy towards me, and I wondered if she knew.

Maybe Vegan told her about our relationship.

'Where's Gohan?' Marron asked.

'Gohan's school is having a family night.' Goten groaned. 'Mom and dad wouldn't let me go.'

His suit was the same as mine except for my black shirt, and I didn't have on my tie. I lost it before we arrived, but Chi Chi was sure that Bloomer had a spare. She wore a black cheongsam with sparkly things; her hair was in a bun.

Eighteen wore strapless dark green and black shoes, Krillin wore a blue tux and a matching bow tie, his dress shoes, and Marron wore a red dress and red shoes.

'Because Gohan was working.'

A scream from upstairs made everyone jump as Yamcha stormed downstairs wearing a short pink dress; her boobies were practically falling out of her dress, and her hair was up in curls.

Bloomer and his parents followed her; they looked annoyed.

'How many times do I have to say it?! I don't want her here!'

'And many times do I have to tell you?! This isn't about you! Trunks wanted this; what am I supposed to say to him?!'

'I don't want her here!'

'Well, he does!'

'I hate her.'

'He loves her.'

'I don't want anything to do with her.'

'Tough shit, Trunks is my son, and she's his mother!'

'But-'

'There is no but! She's his mother; he's my son. She's going, get over it!'

I started to talk when Vegan emerged from the hallway.

She wore a long dress that hugged her frame; it was red like wine, and it had a v neckline and a slit on the side. Her hair was half-up, half-down with soft waves.

I didn't know she was coming.

'Vegan?' I gasped as Trunks rushed to his mother, holding a pair of gold shoes.

She looked stunning as the princess should.

Everyone turned to her; Bloomer's eyes almost popped out of his head.

He stared at her like she was something to devour.

'Can you two keep it down?'

Vegan sounded weakened, like she was sick; knowing her, she probably dragged herself here to be with Trunks.

'Mom, are you okay?'

'Yes, just fine.'

'Maybe we should stay here.'

'No, I promised to do this, so I shall.'
