Barbara Gordon: So after a visit to my future in laws, all that was left to do was to take Ra's blood back to the GCPD to complete cure. Of course that was a lot easier said than done with how many goons that are there between us and the goal.

"Barbara? Barbara?! Are you there? Please don't come back as a ghost and haunt me." Prophet cried out.

Batgirl was a bit amused by the Prophet's rant. She and Jericho were walking back where they came. Via the Wonder City and back to the Subway maintenance. "Maybe at a later time."

Prophet let out a huge sigh of relief. "Oh, thank god. Hold on, your suits readings are back to normal. Did you find Ra's?"

"Yep." Batgirl replied. "Ra's and his army of assassins are operating underneath Arkham City. He's been using a natural chemical bath called the Lazarus Pit which has the ability to bring people back from the dead and extend it's lifespan. That's how he's been able to live for so long."

"And you drank some of it?" Prophet asked skeptically, unsure whether it was true or not.

Batgirl used her line launcher to get both her and Jericho across. "I didn't have much of a choice." She admitted as she climbed up the ladder through the lid into the maintenance. "A small dose healed all my aliments from the Titan disease but it had some terrible side effects. Ra's had been exposed to them for so long, it has put a severe strain on his psyche."

"So, does this mean that you're cured?"

"Not a chance. Barbara only extended her time table by few more hours." Jericho said. By now they were under the Steel Mill. "My old man tried to convince her to take more but she didn't want jeopardize her mental health. Before we left, she gave him a chance to destroy the pit."

"Do you think he will? You know him better than anyone aside from Bruce." Prophet wondered.

Jericho didn't think he would. It was one of the worst addictions he had ever seen. Ra's using it as a crunch to hold off the grim reaper for a few more years because he grizzles in fear of being ashes. "No. He's too addicted to the Lazarus. Batgirl gave him a fair chance to break that addiction by his own will or we'll come back to do the job ourselves."

Batgirl changed the conversation subject from immortals, fountains of youth and addictions to blood poison. "Did Robin call back to you about the blood sample I gave him?" Batgirl inquired.

"He did and you're not gonna like it. I patch him through." Prophet replied grimly as he put the Boy Wonder through.

Robin spoke, a relieved tone in his voice as he was going to give her an update. "Hey, Barb. You have no idea how glad I am to hear from you."

"What's the situation back there?" Batgirl questioned.

"It's bad, Barb." Robin admitted. "There are 40 new cases at Grey Hospital and over 60 at Elliot Memorial. Looks like the pattern spreads itself in the rest of them. "

Batgirl grimaced as she took a moment to let it in. She calculated that Joker's blood could be in nearly 2000 patients. "I'm heading to Freeze right now. Hopefully Ra's blood will be enough to complete the formula."

Ivy's Hideout.

Catwoman was a lot of things. A thief? Check. A thrill Seeker? Check. A femme Fatale? Definitely. But right now she needed some help and that was a rarity in itself. She was a prideful woman that only looked after herself. After getting a jail out of free card from Ivy's wrath regarding her plants, she went back to her apartment that was close to the Courthouse. As she was about to take some much needed siesta, a bomb placed underneath her bed exploded, destroying her apartment. Apparently Two Face wasn't too pleased of how things went down in the courtroom, so he got some of his goons to do his dirty work. Realizing that she had brought on too much heat down on her, all she had to do now was leave Arkham City but not without her loots that Strange took from her after her incarceration. They were neatly placed in his personal vault.

Not wanting to be hung upside down again, Catwoman knocked on the door of Ivy's hotel. Tapping impatiently with her boot, the door opened to reveal Ivy's half vampiric girlfriend Tana.

The feline burglar quirked an eyebrow at her wearing nothing but a black bra and military pants with no boots. Her dog tags was dangling bya necklace around her neck.

"Foreplay got a little rough, Selina?" Tana said, noting her damaged leather suit. Catwoman rolled her eyes in slight annoyance.

"Hilarious. But no. I need your help."

Tana crossed her arms while leaning against the doorway in curiosity. "Really? Does the great Cat finally learn how to play nice with others?" Catwoman snorted in disbelief. Not in a million years. "What brought this on?"

"I'm leaving Arkham City." Catwoman said point blank. "My apartment had just been leveled, thanks to Two Face and I need to get out of dodge before he captures me for a re trial."

"How convenient." Tana drawled. "And naturally you want my oh so powerful wisdom on how to break into Strange's personal Vault to get them."

"Exactly." Catwoman said. "So what's it gonna be?"

The Vampire hunter thought about it for a moment. The burglar thought that she was gonna say no until... "Go to the sewer below Ivy's old flower shop at Park Row." Tana told the burglar. "Head left and you find the storage facility. You need to snatch three security cards in order to access the vault from the security room. But be careful, there's a security detail that is much tighter than Fort Knox. If you get caught, vault gets put under lockdown, permanently."

"Hmm. Three of a kind. My lucky number." Catwoman said turning her back while sauntering on the board walk. "Thanks, Tana. I own you one."

"Two actually. But who's counting?" Tana said quietly, closing the door as she returned to pick up some lost time with Ivy.

Amusement Mile.

Both Batgirl and Jericho were back topside in Amusement Mile when Professor Strange made a chilling announcement through speakers inside the prison. "Attention, citizens of Arkham City. We have a new inmate. Most of you will know him as the Mayor of Gotham, Quincy Sharp. The ex warden of Arkham Asylum. Please provide him with the warming hospitality he deserves."

Batgirl and Jericho shared a startled look. This was an unexpected turn of the events. The mayor was now amongst the criminal elite? "That can't be good." Prophet said.

"No, it isn't." Batgirl muttered, her mind thinking about the reception Sharp will get. It's not good.

"Why would Strange arrest the man who hired him in the first place?" Prophet mused. "Scratch that, how the hell did Strange even pull that one off?"

Two valid questions that neither of the Heroes don't have answers to at the moment. "I don't have a clue, Shawn. But we are going to find out." Batgirl replied. They quickly made their way through the rooftops. Hopefully Sharp would be able to provide some much needed intel. They went past the camps where the political prisoner were staying. Batgirl could only look at in disgust at the poor conditions they lived in.

Barbara Gordon: Mayor Sharp was getting the full VIP treatment when he was brought the prison like the weasel that he truly was by the welcoming committee that was comprised of some of the inmates that knew him from his days as the Warden of old Arkham building. On our way there, we saw some of the political inmates fighting each other for scraps of whatever food that was left from the drop off inside the prison. Jesus Christ, this makes the concentration camps look like the Bahamas on the 4th of July.

When they got to the main gate of Arkham City, they saw that Sharp being beaten to a pulp by a few former Asylum inmates who bore a grudge for his treatment of them during their stay. As much as she enjoyed him getting his just desert, Batgirl dropped by and grabbed one inmate and smashed his head into a dismantled car window, took out second one with swift blow to the temple and the last one with a round house kick.

"This is your fault." Sharp spat. So much for gratitude these days. Batgirl held back an eye roll before picking the Mayor up and grappled to the rooftop for interrogation.

Barbara Gordon: Typical Politician. Always blaming others for their misfortunes. But this time, he's gonna answer for his crimes.

"Please God, No!" The spineless Mayor begged in terror as he found himself hanging upside down over the edge of a building by Jericho holding the ex warden of the Asylum by his ankle. He was scared to his pants.

"I want to know everything about Strange and what type of role did you play in all this!" Batgirl demanded.

"I'll tell you everything." Sharpe said quickly. "He came to me back at the Asylum several months ago. Told me that he had friends, powerful friends. The sort of friends that would make things happen. All he asked me to do was look past his experiments, so I can work on my campaign. He ensured me that I would win the election."

"Wanna tell me their names, Mr. Mayor?" She snarled and when he didn't answered immediately, Jericho loosened some of grip on Sharpe. He whimpered in terror.

"I do not have the faintest idea." He confessed. "I never met them, they funded everything. Money was never a problem. When I became the mayor, I had to fulfill my part of the agreement by setting up Arkham City and put Strange in charge. It made perfect sense. The scum of Gotham needed to be punished. It would be my legacy!"

Batgirl shook her head in disgust. Just like every corrupt politician in Gotham, Quincy was no exception to the rule. A man who lusts for power. "The only legacy you will ever have is one of cowardice and greed. Strange has rounded up everyone with a connection to him and sent them to Arkham City to die. Enjoy it while you can." Batgirl said as Jericho tossed him back to the rooftop. Strange is working with someone else but who? That was the question of the day. "Well, what are we gonna do now?"

"Well, you need to get my dad's blood back to GCPD. I'll handle this pathetic waste of space." Jericho told her. Batgirl nodded as she made her way to while Jericho took a guilt ridden Sharp to Medical Church.

Barbara Gordon: That coward will have to eat his just desserts.

But unfortunately Batgirl took a little a detour when she saw a burning bat symbol on top of the Olympus Casino that was once owned by Maxie Zeus on her way to the old GCPD precinct. Curious, she headed there to see a familiar knight kneeling behind the symbol with a sword in his hand as if she was praying. Batgirl knew who that was.

"We meet again, Batgirl." Ariel said, sensing her presence as she stood up before The Dark Dame.

"Ariel." Batgirl addressed the Order's chosen Servant. It's been a year since she last saw the Knight templar warrior at the Arkham Asylum.

"The Day of Reckoning has arrived, Batgirl." Ariel said, reminding her of the forewarning she had given Batgirl on the rooftop of the Intensive Treatment at Arkham Island. "The prophecy is coming true. From the ruins of Arkham Asylum, The Demon will attempt to send Arkham City into the depths of Hell and the Jester shall have its final laugh."

"Why are you here?" Batgirl inquired.

"I see you carry the same fire within you." Ariel observed. "By the end of the night, that fire may consume you. Gotham will need a new protector. A New defender. A new Batgirl."

Feeling a bit on the defensive, Batgirl took a step forward. She hasn't walked gently into that good night nor would she ever be if she's got anything to say about it. "I haven't hung up my cowl just yet." Batgirl reminded.

"But you cannot protect her forever." Ariel pointed out. "I have been watching you for a long time. You live by a commandment: you do not kill." Batgirl raised an eyebrow when Ariel presented the sword to her as a show of good faith. "Then it is my duty to honor your commandment."

Sensing her caution, Ariel tried to convince her once again. "It has been foreseen by the Order. The time has come for you to pass your mantle... to me."

Taking it, She studied it briefly. She knew that someday that she will be no longer Batgirl but today wasn't that day. Still Though. "If you're serious about becoming the heir to my cowl, you need to prove your worth." Batgirl told her. "I'll conduct a series of tests to examine your abilities."

Ariel nodded in compliance. "As you wish." Batgirl initiated a test stimulation by a push of a few buttons. Ariel made a sign of the cross on her chest, preparing herself to prove that she's a worthy heir apparent.

"You're seriously considering having Joan of Arc as your successor, Boss Lady?" Prophet said, having to had heard the whole conversation through the comms.

Batgirl bit her lower lip unsure of how to answer that. It wasn't that simple. On the one hand, Ariel seems to a decent woman with good intentions. But on the other hand, she had a gut feeling that the Order had ulterior motives. "I wanted to find out what her intentions were. Her true Intentions. There's more to it than it meets the eye. Have you looked into the Order of St. Dumas in the record books?"

"Yeah but the reports that dates back few centuries are rather scarce to be honest." Prophet said. "Based on the few I read, they have a sworn mission to protect Gotham from the wicked and sinful. They are more a myth than real."

Batgirl thought about the info she was given. "Run the physiological tests. Comply enough data so that you can run the id programs from it." She ordered. She grappled up to observe Ariel from a vantage point as A digitized version of Two Face appeared wielding his dual guns.

"In order to become Batgirl, you need to handle the varied tactics of your adversaries." Batgirl told the feminine Knight. "Some can distract you with unorthodox weaponry. So use it against them. They have a pattern, so recognizing them is the main key to victory."

Two Face began unloading his clips towards Ariel who rolled out of the way and she then ran over to him, zig zagging to avoid gunfire with impressive speed before leaping over the ex D.A, grabbing him by the neck and flipped him, making him land face first and knocked him out with a fierce blow to the temple. She did a triple back flips as the AI Two Face disappeared while avoiding the fire attack from a simulation version of Firefly. She used a modified version of grapple gun to launch herself towards the Pyromaniac and got behind him. She used the blades on her arms to destroy the engines that powered his mechanized wings. Firefly crashed landed on the floor.

"Ok, She's strong enough to knock Dent out with one punch and adaptable while making Firefly a second rate villain. Not to mention agile and quick. A deadly combination." Batgirl thought to herself while observing her would be successor. Her armored suit must play a part in it.

As The AI Firefly glitched out, Ariel turned her attention to Batgirl. "Was that all? I expected better."

Batgirl smirked as she started her second test. "That was the easy part. Now you're going to have fight enemies that are big in stature."

Two big brutes appeared in front of Ariel sizing her up. "You must use your environment to your advantage when you're engaging larger opponents. They have an incredible pain tolerance Look for anything that can be used as a weapon." Batgirl advised.

Looking around for some objects that may be of use, Ariel leaped over a Brute and grabbed a box that was behind him and threw it towards him. It shattered on impact. She used her long cape to stun him temporarily while the second brute swung his large fist which she blocked it with one hand. She kicked his right leg out and threw a few but powerful punches to his head plexus, making him dazed enough for Ariel put him head first into an electrical box. Batgirl flinched as the second brute twitched uncontrollably by the electrical currents coursing through his body before passing out. She used her grappling gun to pull herself into a flying kick to the face of the brute before flipping herself in mid air before using both her legs to bash his head in, knocking him out.

Nodding in approval, Batgirl went on to conclude the third exam. "The third test will test your stealth. You've learned how to use yours fist. But they aren't enough in the war against crime." Batgirl said as she shifted to another simulation. This time it would be covertly. "Batgirl is believed to be invincible. It's a matter of patience and distraction. Use the shadows to gain the leverage on your enemies. Make them fear you. "

Ariel took a moment to assess the new environment from. Four men, all armed. She can get behind the weak wall and take the first henchmen out. The Second can be incapacitated from a air takedown and the two can be subdued in one swift attack. Having it all planned out in her head, She executed her strategy by thrusting her hands through the walk, grabbing the first henchmen and struck him in the head with her gloved fist. She hopped up on a railing and lunged at the second armed henchmen who was heading in her direction and rammed her head into his face, knocking him out. She used a smoke pellet to cover her escape as the two remaining men went to check on the wounded. She jumped on her and smashed their heads together completing her third test.

"You're showing me that you're proficient warrior, Ariel." Batgirl commented. "Now it's time for the final test."

"I am ready." Ariel stated without hesitation. She's persistent.

Three assassins with swords popped up in a puff of smoke and started to attack the Order's chosen champion. She blocked the punches and kicks from one of the assassins in quick succession before taking hold of her wrists, stopping the assault. She elbowed the assassin before punching her repeatedly. She kneed her in the stomach before taking her feet off with a sweep kick and then stomped her face in with her boot. Ariel blocked a sword attack from the second assassin before smashing her elbow into the face and swept her legs before pouncing her forearm onto the stomach, knocking the wind out of her. She then took the initiative by throwing the final assassin from the hip down to the floor and broke her arm.

The final test was concluded. Ariel had passed with flying colors.

Ariel grappled up to the vantage point to hear what Batgirl had to say about her performance. "You have shown great skill, Ariel." Batgirl complimented. "I'll contact you when I have considered my decision."

Ariel was puzzled. She thought that Batgirl would've accepted her to be her successor right there and then. "There is no more time to think, Batgirl. Decide now!"

"I am the one who makes that call, not you!" Batgirl said sternly. At the end of the day, it's her decision to make. Ariel shook her head at the display of stubbornness from the current wearer of the cowl.

"With each breathe you waste, Arkham falls deeper into Hellfire. Make your decision immediately, or she will be nothing but ashes." Ariel left a bit disappointed at her indecision as Prophet contacted Batgirl with new information.

"Boss Lady, I got a positive match for our Knight lookalike." Prophet reported. "Ariel's actual name is Samantha Conroy. A CIA field agent who was relieved of duty due to her mental health issues. And then a few months later, she vanished into thin air. "

"That was probably around the time she joined the Order of St. Dumas." Batgirl speculated.

"Most likely." Prophet agreed. "By the way I'm going through data and... It's very interesting. I've never seen anything like it."

Batgirl knew what she had to do now. "Upload the data to the bat computer. I'm heading to the GCPD to get a look at it."

Batgirl went straight to the GCPD which wasn't far away from the old Casino.

GCPD

As the Dark Dame made her way to the Forensic Labs at the abandoned Precinct, Mr. Freeze was doing some diagnostics on his suit to see if it had been damaged during his captivity at the Museum.

"How can this Ra's Al Ghul supposedly hold the key to the formula? She must have lost her mind." Freeze wondered, his cold hardened eyes drifted to an ice statue of his Wife as they softened at a mere glance to it.

"I'll save you, Nora. I swear it."

His mind went down a trip to the old memory lane, to that day where his life was changed forever.

10 years ago. Gothcorp Scientific Division.

A consistent banging on door alerted Victor who was in the middle of placing his wife into the cryofreeze in a room at the R department of Gothcorp. "Viktor! Open this door now!"

"No." Victor gasped, fearing the worse. The door was blown away by the guards who entered the lab and they were soon joined by the CEO Ferris Boyle, he did not look happy.

"Get away from my equipment!" Boyle demanded, He ordered the guards to shut the lab down, something that Victor wasn't going to let them do it that easily.

"Please, Ferris! You cannot stop my experiment!" Fries protested.

"May I remind you that it is your unauthorized experiment." Ferris corrected crossing arms with a frown, "I suspended the funding several weeks ago. I'm already 4 million in debt, no thanks to you." This was nothing like the man whose facade was a man of compassion at his public attendances. He was showing his true colors. An uncaring, self-interested, unsympathetic man that was Ferris Boyle.

"Ferris, I implore you. My wife is in there." Victor reminded with a pleading look.

"Well then, bring her out." Ferris Boyle said in a duh voice.

"The process cannot be interrupted now."

"Open it." Boyle commanded one of the guards, the guard walked over to the freezing chamber to do just that.

"It's her only hope!" Victor tried to reason with the CEO but his request was denied by the corrupt CEO.

"This is my equipment you're using! Mine!" he stated with a venomous tone in his voice, "I have the legal rights to use it or not use it whenever I see fit. This project stops now!" In a last ditch effort, Fries grabbed a revolver from one of the guard's holster and aimed at the supposed "Humanitarian" Ferris Boyle. He raised his hand as if he was trying to calm Victor down.

"Stay away from her, murderer!" Victor demanded.

"Victor, I'm sorry. I lost my head. It doesn't have to be like this. We can talk." For a spilt second Fries thought that he meant it as he was lowering his revolver but it was only a false sense of security as Boyle sucker punched Victor, he stumbled back to a table of cryogenic chemicals soaking him with cold liquid.

"Go! Go!" Boyle got out of the dodge with the security guards, Victor's skin was starting to ice blue as his core temperature was and the last thing Victor did before passing out was his hand reaching for Nora's unmoving body in the cryochamber he put her there to slow down the progression of the fatal disease as they escaped.

Present.

GCPD Forensic Labs.

Freeze turned his attention when he heard footsteps. Batgirl had just arrived with the blood sample that she told him she would bring. She placed a knightly sword on examining table. "Batgirl. I am surprised that you have lived up to your promise."

Batgirl smiled, handing the vial to former Gothcorp Employee. "I'm not the Joker, Viktor or will I never be. You should know that by now."

"True. Forgive me for being weary after my last encounter with the clown. I do not want to be played for a fool." Freeze conceded, placing it into the mixing chamber and started making the cure.

"The bonding process should take a few seconds."

Batgirl watched as the cure was made in a matter of moments. Freeze took out two vials containing the cure and placed them on the table.

"Where is Nora being held by the way?" Batgirl asked.

Freeze showed a digital map that sprouted from his gauntlet highlighting a red dot not far from their position. "I was able to locate the distress beacon from her cryo-chamber somewhere in this vicinity a day after the clown had taken her as leverage to coerce me into creating the antidote for his disease."

Batgirl studied it briefly as she recalled the location that the Beacon was coming from. "She must be inside one of the old warehouses." She deduced. "It's probably at the Falcone shipping Yard outside the Mill."

Freeze was about to add something into the conversation when something attached itself to his mechanical suit. It emitted an emp blast, shutting it down temporarily. A canister was dropped down on the floor and out came knockout gas. Batgirl coughed as she had the misfortune of inhaling the through her nose. She was starting to see double as she wobbled from side to side as the effects was starting to kick in. Just before she passed out, the last thing she saw was Harley Quinn heading for one of the two vials on the computer table.

Batgirl moaned as she groggily opened her eyes seeing herself lying on the floor. She got back up rubbing her forehead with her hand. "Oh, my head."

She let out a startled gasp as she saw a healthy Joker standing right in front of her with his sickening grin, laughing at her misery. "HAHAHAHAHA!"

Then he faded into black like a bad memory. She groaned as a she rubbed her throbbing head. That was creepy. She looked over to see Freeze with a despondent look, leaning against the wall. His suit had taken 10 minutes to recharge from the emp blast. "Viktor, what happened?" She demanded of what took place while she was out cold.

"That harlot Quinn broke into the lab and stole one of the two vials I was only able to manufacture." Freeze explained venomously.

Batgirl didn't like where this was going. "And the second one?" she said dreading his answer.

Freeze simply side glanced, Batgirl followed it and saw the split contents of the now destroyed second vial on the floor. Batgirl clenched her fist in anger. Just this once she would like for things to go smoothly without hiccups. "Goddamnit!" Batgirl cursed under her breath. "Harley's probably gone back to Joker with it."

"What are you waiting for then?" Freeze inquired, an infuriating tone in his voice. "Get it back! The clown must suffer for scheming against us!"

"If only it were that simple." Batgirl said. "Joker has the entire Steel Mill locked down. It won't be easy getting in."

Seeing the logic in her argument, Freeze took out a freeze blaster from a drawer of the desk and handed it to Batgirl. "Perhaps I can be of assistance. I have been working on a projectile weapon. These will give you the edge you'll need."

"I promise, Viktor." Batgirl reassured tucking it into her belt. "I will get Nora back for you."

Just then Prophet called her by the comms "Batgirl, are you at the GCPD now?" Prophet asked her.

Batgirl sighed. She wanted to say no and find Joker immediately but given the urgent tone in his voice, she knew that she had to tie up that little loose end. Besides, it's the perfect distraction from the troubled situation. "Yeah. Send me the data now."

She glanced at Freeze who had a inquiring look. "Something's come up. This won't take long." She assured as she walked away from him, seeing a 3d form of Samantha's brain from her gauntlet. Inside it was some kind of a chip implanted in the frontal lobe. That chip must be interfacing with the region of the brain that stores and accesses memories.

"I'm not a scientist but I'm certain that this doesn't belong in one's brain." Prophet noted.

"No It doesn't." Batgirl replied. "It's a micro processor chip that has been surgically placed in frontal lobe of the brain."

"Isn't that part of the brain that has access to memories?" Prophet recalled.

"Exactly. Let's see what kind of memories she have."

She got a montage of her recollections sent from the Order while a voice spoke to her about her studying and learning every strategy of Batgirl. Someday she will seek out Batgirl and attempt to become the next Batgirl. It was her supposed destiny. Her suspicions were triple folded once the message had ended. The Order was definitely hiding something.

"Seems that her intentions are pure, boss lady. Are you thinking that they are being tampered with?"

"I do." Batgirl acknowledged her suspicions, seeing the symbol that she first saw at the top of they Intensive Treatment building the night of the Joker's takeover from one of many memories. "Prophet, I recognize that symbol. It's the same one I saw back at the Asylum. The Order's native language. They must've planted those markers into Conroy's memories, modifying her behavior subliminally. If I can find them, I may be able to discover the real message."

She underwent through several recollections to locate and scan the markers to find the markers in order to locate the real message which was three. She had to give them credit, they had to go the extra mile to hide those markers But eventually she found them and with her discovery, she was listening to the one and only message from the Order.

"The Flamed Knight stands in the way of our crusade. She hinders the evil from being cleansed by divine justice. Once you have proven yourself worth, strike her down at the right moment and take her place as the rightful protector of Gotham. A protector willing in his request to defend Gotham."

"That didn't sound ominous at all, Barbara. How will you stop her?" Prophet wondered.

"She won't." A new voice spoke up behind her, making Batgirl tense.

"Conroy!" Batgirl turned around and faced the Order's puppet.

"Conroy has perished! I am Ariel, servant to the Order of St. Dumas!" Ariel proclaimed.

The Dark Dame knew otherwise. "The Order has deceived you! Stripped you of free will!" Batgirl spoke the truth to her.

"Lies!" Ariel or Samantha hissed, in denial. "You are in the way of true justice!"

"Our ideals of justice are the one and same, Samantha." Batgirl protested, using her real name in an attempt to reach out to the government agent buried beneath the religious templar.

And it seemed to have work for a second because Samantha's eyes were confused as her old memories of her being subjected to the Order's brainwashing and experiments started to resurface after her resignation from the CIA. "No... No! You're lying!" She glanced at her sword that she gave to Batgirl before heading over to retrieve it. The Order's manipulation was taking place and now they were ordering her to kill Batgirl.

"Samantha!" Batgirl said in warning as she prepared herself to subdue her if she must as Samatha walked towards her with intent. But at the very last second, Samantha let out a cry as she rose her sword high before putting the sword down to the cold floor with emphasis. She recalled a fond memory of her 8 year old son: They were celebrating his birthday and that was enough to break free from The Order's mind control.

"They tricked me into believing that I was to be an instrument of God when in truth I was a weapon of sin!" Samantha growled, furious at the Order and their manipulations of her mind. Batgirl sighed in relief. That was too close.

"You made the right call, Samantha."

Samantha nodded, panting from mental exhaustion. "I only abide by the word from God's. The Order must be punished for their crimes against me."
