It was about a month before Eli had to go back to NYU but he was leaving in two weeks to find everything for his apartment and get moved in and all before his classes .Clare was at the dot for a interview with Spinner. She was just told she got the job . She figured if she was going to figure out who she was she might as well get a job to save up money. Even with the money she had gotten from graduating from Degrassi, She felt she should still support herself. Eli was still working there it least for now. Although he tried to act like he was happy he wasn't happy right now.

He was waiting on a customer as she was talking to Spinner . She looked over at him trying to hide a smile cause he had rolled his eyes at the way the customer was carrying on about how they needed him to do his job . She could tell he was annoyed. She asked Spinner a question.

"Hey Spin think I could try to help right now."

"I mean show you I've got this... seems Eli is getting frustrated with that man."

Spinner looked over to the counter to see Eli rubbing his temples well trying to explain to an older cranky man yelling at him

"Listen I know that you want that item ,But Sir I'm telling you we stopped serving that two hours ago plus I ran out of most of what we need for it, Im sorr"

Before he could finish the older male started screaming.

"THEY MUST HIRE JUST MORONS , OR THEY DON'T HAVE BETTER HELP THEN SOME STUPID COLLEGE KID! YOUR TOO STUPID FOR THIS JOB AND IT'S A SIMPLE TASK!"

Eli was trying really hard to not lose it but this man was told six times now the same thing and now the man was calling him names. He looked over at Spin who was starting to stand up.

"Your hired Baby Edwards, Please give Eli a break, actually go with him you can start after his lunch, He can train you."

"I'll take care of this guy okay go take care of your boyfriend."

She smiled "Thank you Spinner. You were my favorite boyfriend of Darcy's." Spin laughed as they both walked up to the counter.

Clare walked up to Eli who looked at her confused and before he could speak She smiled at him and took off his apron and took his hand pulling him out of the dot. Once out she gave him a quick kiss.

"You okay Eli?" She spoke as they sat at table and he smacked his head a few times on the table.

"I wanted to yell back." he said not looking at her. "I normally just take it, but I was losing my patience today."

She chuckled "Well maybe with both of us working together, You won't feel that way." He looked over at her but then kept his head down.

She grabbed his hand and whispered his name, he looked at her. She looked at his green eyes. She noticed he looked more tired then normal.

"Eli are you sleeping?" he just shook his head.

"Eli are you okay?" He shrugged.

She sighed "Do you want to tell me what is bugging you?"

Eli looked at her and snappily replied "Why do you need to know Clare!" "Just ugh ask me later." he said with a little venom

Clare looked at him but left it alone. He got like this every once in while, But it didn't make her feel better when he snapped at her. She rubbed her thumb against his hand she was holding til he pulled it from her. He stood and spoke softly

"I'm going to go take a walk, I'll be back to train you."

He walked away from her. She looked down feeling like he was trying to push her away. So she gave him space and tried to keep her mind from going to anything negative. but not knowing why Eli was distance and snaping at her hurt her. Especially since last time he didn't talk he finally did and broke it off.

Eli wasn't in a good mood. He hadn't been sleeping well. He was gonna be leaving in 2 weeks to go back to NYU to get ready for his 2nd year and move in his apartment. Although he knew they could do it this time, especially since Clare had those plane tickets and her own key it didn't help. He wasn't mad at her for changing her mind he understood her reason.

It was just he had heard her talking to Alli a couple days ago and something she said had upset him. He couldn't hear Alli but he heard Clare.

"What if he gets back to NY and runs into Lenore. I don't trust that she will leave him alone."

"yes I know he said she means nothing to him."

"Alli, last time that happened, I kissed Drew!"

'I NEVER told Eli that I went bungee jumping with Drew. I just paid for another session"

"No, I never told him, and I know Drew and I didn't act on anything til after I broke it off with him"

"He wasn't good enough for me ,I know that now."

"I know ,it was a mistake ,We both made one last year."

"No ,I love him but what IF our love isn't enough?"

She had told him a month ago she knew they could make it. So why tell him one thing and Alli another. He saw forever with her . She had said the same. Or it least he thought she had. Maybe she was just saying that to keep him around. Was he really what she wanted? He felt like she hadn't forgiven him for anything even though he was truly sorry for hurting her. She had said He wasn't good enough

His chest started hurting all this had been on his mind since he over heard her. He turned around and walked back deciding that when he got back he would take his anxiety pill. He saw her sitting in the same place. He took in a deep breath before approaching her.

"Come on, I need to take a pill and train you." he tried to keep a even tone. She looked up at him.

"Eli" she spoke softly

He just looked at her ,one eye brow going up as to ask her why she said his name so since he didn't snap at her as he had before. So she spoke again .

"You need to tell me what the heck is bugging you". His face went from relaxed to annoyed and angry

"Clare, I need to take a pill! I WILL talk to you about it AFTER our shift." he said bitterly.

She rolled her eyes and shook her head before she snapped back.

"WHATEVER Eli! Keep pushing me away!, Go take your pill!, I am gonna ask Spin to train me!"

She saw his eyes darken, he grabbed her by her arm gently and pulled her to the ally way

"Fine! Clare want to know what's bugging me?" He said it with so much venom she flinched and pulled her arm out of his soft grasp as he leaned against the ally way wall of the dot

She crossed her arms and gave him a nod to say something.

"You! I heard you talking with Alli Tuesday Clare! Do you really think I'd risk losing you for Lenore when I told you a few weeks before that I want to be with you forever! Or the fact that YOU didn't tell me about kissing Drew at that dinner or better yet LIED to me going bungee jumping with him I came back and you said you changed the date to the next day. I came back for you but if I hadn't I am scared of what would of happened! I know I can't say much. I never wanted to hurt you. I know you think I'm not good enough for you" he stopped and took a breathe and looked her dead in the eyes as he spoke softly

"I love you, I have loved you since I was 16, I want to love you until I'm old , I have done some stupid things Clare I get that .so have you yet I still believe in what we have ,but if you don't believe in what we have, maybe we should just go our own ways. Because I will never be good enough for you. " by now his green eyes had dulled and he looked like he was defeated. "I'll meet you inside to train you, no reason to bother Spinner."

He went to turned to go back to the dot when Clare slammed into him causing him to stumble a little into the wall he was just leaning on moments before

"Ouch! WTH Clare!" came Eli's voice with some kind painful notes in his voice

She looked him in his eyes and her voice was small but dangerous

"I am only saying this ONCE Elijah James Goldsworthy! SO LISTEN! I want you as my forever. "He looked at her she still saw the hurt and the doubt. She spoke again this time her voice started rising

"I know what I said to Alli , but that was after having a nightmare of you leaving me. I am sorry I lied there isn't a reason why I did it besides that it wasn't refundable ,as for the kiss both Drew and I were hurting and now i know what you mean when you said that it meant nothing with Lenore... but I am so happy I still got to jump with you and that' s the one I remember because instead of trying to calm me by talking you kissed me so yea jumping and kissing my soulmate triumph being AWARKD with Drew! Want to know the difference between you and Drew Elijah?"

He looked at her speaking softly "Whats that Clare? "

She stood on her toes and spoke softly and putting her hand on his cheek making him look at her

" I could never love him and I didn't love him it was a stupid crush but anyways I could never love anyone the way I love you, I've loved you since the night of Adam's party when you told me to make a wish. He spun them around to where she was now against the wall making sure she didn't hit it .She looked up at him and wiped a couple tears from his cheek before she grabbed the back of his head and crashed her lips to his. He deepened the kiss slowly wrapping his arms around her as she wrapped hers around his neck.

Unknown to the fighting couple Spinner had watched them.

He yelled out and they looked at him

"Hey You two go home and make up you can work tomorrow"

"Oh and Eli walk away from Baby Edwards again and I'll kick your ass she is like a little sister to me since I dated her sister and have fun just not to much .I don't want to lose my favorite employee either may not see you when your at NYU but you will have a job when your here ."

He then called Emma down and went into the Dot.

They didn't move. She spoke softly

"I love you, Elijah James"

"I'm so sorry Honey" He said softly "I Love you"

He went to let go of her to start walking but she she pulled him into a hug. She turned her head resting it on his shoulder to where her mouth was close to his ear.

"It was a misunderstanding no reason to apologize Eli, Let's go back to your place, and talk. She pause before saying breathlessly " Have make up sex"

He shook his head and chuckled softly "I think I finally corrupted you my little minx."

He let go of her and but she took his arm and tucked herself into his side before they started walking. They were silent as they walked to Eli's. When they got there He noticed his parents cars were gone which meant they were full on alone. He took out his keys and unlocked the door before taking Clare's hand and walking them up to his room. They both sat on his bed facing one another. They had a honest talk and got everything off their chest but Clare still had something she wanted to say something well ask really but she wanted him so she crawled over to him.

'I want to come with you and help set up our apartment."

Eli looked down at her as she was pulling his shirt off. "Hmm I thought you wanted to use your tickets for sex Blue eyes." he countered

She smacked his bare chest leaving open mouth kisses on the spot she just hit before retorting "I'll have 9 others to do just that. Plus we need to Christian our apartment"

He growled and flipped them "Keep this up and Beautiful and I promise I'll make sure you see stars."

She smirked "oooo I'd love to see these so called stars. But don't promise what you can't deliverer there ." she leaned up and kissed him.

He then grabbed her wrists and held them above her looking at her with lust he quickly undressed her and himself. He then moved in-between her and reached up with the hand that wasn't holding her wrists and grabbed a condom he rolled it on after using his teeth to ripe it open. As soon as he did her arms pulled him down to where they were chest to chest
