p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"Firestar hurled himself upward crashing into scourges belly and thrusting him backward into the ground. He knew that killing scourge would end the battle. Starclan would win and the feeling of warriors long gone that had flooded his mind abandoned him leaving only himself and his conscience to decide if this was the right thing to do. The warrior code said that any honorable warrior never killed and despite Bloodclan not following the code, he did, and he would. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"Cloudtail rose from the ground awkwardly, keeping weight off his injuries as he stumbled towards Firestar. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;""How are we going to end the battle now, Firestar?" The tom questioned gazing back at the battle distracting both tomcats. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"Scourge opened his eyes and flung himself to his paws as the yowls of his clan retreating flooded his ears. He stepped back from Firestar and faced the two toms standing Infront of him. He backed into a crouch glaring at Firestar. The dog teeth on his collar glinted under the glow of late sunhigh igniting his icy-blue eyes. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"Sandstorm's claws dug into the ground as she ran faster than she had ever run before. The only cat she loved stood across the clearing and he was in danger from a cat everycat watched slay the most feared leader in the forest in a single blow. Dust and sand flew out behind her as she tore across the hollow. Heart pounding with every paw step she took Sandstorm covered several fox-lengths at a time skillfully maneuvering around the still battling cats. The ground passed by in a blur before she was only a few mouse lengths away from the great rock. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"Scourge leaped at Firestar pushing off of his back haunches. Teeth bared and claws unsheathed as the lithe tom launched forward. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;""Firestar! No!" Sandstorm yowled blazing towards the Scourge. In a blur of sand colored anger Sandstorm knocked Scourge against the Great rock and pinned the weak black tom's shoulders against the cold stone. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;""Sandstorm! Stop! You can't kill him!" Firestar meowed gently trying to calm Sandstorm away from Scourge. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;""He tried to KILL you! Why shouldn't I, I love you!" She hissed but released the black tom who flopped unconscious on the grass. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;""We have to keep him alive... for now. Sandstorm think about Brokenstar and what Bluestar did" Firestar choked up as he mentioned the previous leader of thunderclan. "Cloudtail, can you handle bringing Scourge back to our camp? You can put him in the spare den." The fire pelted leader ordered and turned to the dying battle. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;" "SCOURGE IS GONE!" Cried a black and white Bloodclan cat as he scurried away from Tallstar sending Bloodclan cats into a flurry of teeth, claws, and blood as they abandoned the battle as fast as they could leaving behind any scrapes of dignity they had left. Graystripe stumbled over to Firestar and Sandstorm his flank stiff and covered in dried blood. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;""How are you Firestar? You too Sandstorm, and... oh wher-where is Cloudtail?" The grey tabby looked around concerned at where the young white warrior had gone. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;""I lost a life but I'm alright" Firestar added quickly "Sandstorm is alright, and Cloudtail went back to camp already... to check if our camp was safe" /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"Cloudtail stumbled into camp with scourge on his shoulders and rolled the little black tom into the spare den. He took in the sights of Thunderclan camp, the way the brambles of their dens fell right into place and the fearsome and protective gleam of the thorn bushes around the entrance of their camp made this his home but with no snappy medicine cat to welcome him back and no graceful leader praising the warriors who fought as they returned the camp felt as empty as it really was. Cloudtail looked up at the first few stars appearing in silverpelt and voiced his fears aloud to his ancestors /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%;"span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;""Are we doing the real right thing" /span/p
