Ulrich362: Well, we have another idea related to Arc-V. Only this time we have a few twists that we haven't tried before right Bopdog?
bopdog111: The inspiration came up from a fic called 'Sakura' by the authoress Dearkpetal16.
Ulrich362: True, so if you've read that you should know what this one will be. Though there is something I need to address before we start because if I don't it could be an issue for this story. The protagonist is 15 years old.
bopdog111: And the character she'll be reborn into will make her younger.
Ulrich362: Exactly, so keep that in mind for this story. That said, enjoy the chapter.
Disclaimer: We don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V but we own the OCs!
It was a normal day on a Thursday where a girl was talking with a few of her friends walking home from school. It was another boring day nothing interesting, and she was glad to be out of there so she can focus on her other hobbies. But today marks a destiny for her which she never realized.
"Are you guys sure you don't want to watch today?" she asked them.
"We already been through it. We want something else." one of her friends told her.
"Yeah, you can stay at your place, and watch it yourself." another of her friends added.
"Fine." the girl sighed before smiling. "Anyway, are we still good for Saturday?"
"Still are girl." the first friend answered.
"Awesome, can't wait for the concert." she smiled.
Unknown to them just around the next corner was something that would change her life forever. They walked just as a car was speeding up not slowing down. The girl noticed a little boy was on the road taking a ball not noticing the car speeding at him.
"Huh, hey look out!" she cried running to shove the boy.
He looked where she pushed him which made the car hit her. Her vision was blurry weakened as she sees, and hears rapid footsteps, and rapid panicking before she closed her eyes for good.
In a void...
Her eyes shot open as she looked around stunned seeing she's in a black void with a fog around.
"What happened, where am I?" she asked fearfully looking around.
She also noticed one other... lacking detail. Gasping she quickly covered herself in embarrassment.
"Hahaha, as always when they wake up their aware, and quick to cover themselves." she heard a voice chuckle.
"Who's there?" she asked looking around. "Where am I?"
"Hey relax, there's no-one here but you, and me."
At that a form appeared that looked to be genderless with a body shaped as neither man or woman that's also faceless walking to her. The girl shuddered seeing the form before slowly backing away.
"No need to feel afraid. I'm not here to harm you." the form said to her.
"Wh... what are you?" the girl asked.
"Hm, an excellent question. The better question would be, what AM I?" the form laughed, "Get it? Cause I appear as something? And your here... confused..." Seeing she looked annoyed it sighed, "Bah, your no fun. Well to answer... I am basically the true form of what your kind calls... God."
The girl's eyes shot open hearing that.
"And BEFORE-" the form or God raised it's hand, "You start all that worshipping, and praying, and all that don't bother. I don't care much for that."
She just nodded only to frown. "What... happened?"
"Well, to get to the point, you died." God answered at that, "Got ran over for saving that kid."
That froze the girl as she looked at her hands nervously. "I'm... dead? No, it has to be a lie! I can't be dead! Please, do something!"
"Well there is something, and it's something I planned to do." God told her, "The price is that you can't be back in your own world."
"My own... wait, what are you talking about?" the girl asked.
"The void you see is a type of... 'graveyard' for the dead in all worlds." God explained before listing, "Demons, Aliens, Humans, Animals, fictional, fact, all that stuff."
"Then… what's going to happen to me?" she asked.
"I could give you a second chance for you to be reincarnated in a new world." God answered at that before saying, "Except you won't be starting from scratch, you'll be taking the identity of someone else who already started there's."
The girl looked confused. "Wait, what do you mean? I'm taking over someone's life, but who?"
"I won't spoil that detail, you will find out yourself." God chuckled before saying, "If of course, you will take the offer."
The girl looked unsure. "What happens to the person I replace?"
"She will be fine. Her spirit will be merged with yours." God answered.
The girl closed her eyes before after a moment she nodded. "Ok, I accept."
"Good. But before then..." God holds it's hand out for her to take.
The girl slowly took God's hand. It glowed before it pulled back saying, "I given you a special ability. Now whenever you head to a Church to prey, you can talk to me."
"Ok, thank you." the girl nodded.
She started glowing being raised up. The girl closed her eyes waiting for what would happen.
"You be careful out there. And whatever you do, don't worry it wouldn't effect what is to come." was God's last words before she vanished.
She slowly started waking up feeling herself on a bed. She slowly opened her eyes looking around. She sees herself in a unfamiliar room with fishes all around, and several picture frames around along with a large mirror in the wall. Walking over to the mirror she looked at her reflection. She sees herself staring at what looks like a little girl with red hair wearing Pajamas that have fishes on them.
"No… no way. I'm Allie!" she cried before gasping and running to a calendar. "Please tell me I haven't missed it!"
Checking everything over she sees a writing on one of the days not today marked, "Championship Starts!"
She squealed at that. 'Oh my god, I'm in Paradise City before the Arc-League… which means he'll be there.'
Hearing rapid footsteps she hears a male voice yelling, "Allie! I'm coming, Daddy's coming!"
The door burst open as she turned seeing a man was there breathing asking, "Allie what's wrong!? Did something happen, are you hurt!?"
The girl froze. "I'm ok, just… I had a good dream dad."
The man sighed in relief, "Oh don't scare me like that sweat pea."
A woman that looked like Allie popped in saying, "Come on dear, she wants her privacy to get changed, and prepare to start looking for her matches to apply for the Arc-League."
"Right. Be careful sweetie." the man said with a smile before they walked out closing the door behind them.
The girl let out a sigh of relief before walking to get dressed only to pause. 'Wait… didn't God say…' "Um, Allie?"
After a few seconds silence she hears nothing. The girl frowned. "I guess she can't hear me."
"Yeah, I can." a female voice was heard in her head.
She gasped. 'Allie? I can explain what's going on.'
"No need too. And basically your me too." the female voice smiled before she said, "That kind... person, I think, told me that you need my body for this world, and I said yes. Doing so he said, our souls fused into one. We're both halves of that soul."
'Oh... that's good.' the girl smiled as she started to get dressed. 'You need to win duels for the Arc-League right?'
"Yeah, but I can't now since I can't duel while you have my body." Allie answered in her head before saying, "And not to mention, your me now, so now your name is also Allie. To make things easier, just call me Inner or something."
'Well, that works but I think I should tell you a few things... I'm, almost twice your age.' Allie mentioned to Inner. 'And, I know things about you and your friends.'
"Well Mr or Mrs God told me you came from a new world that has knowledge about us." Inner admitted.
'That's right.' Allie nodded picking up her deck. 'Um... do you, like anybody?'
"Yeah, I like everyone." Inner admitted confused as Allie sat down looking over her Deck, "Even you, you seem like a good friend."
'Aw, thanks.' Allie thought only to blush. 'But... I meant, a crush... you know... boyfriend and girlfriend?'
She felt Inner blink in her mind before staying silent almost like deep in thought. She then admitted, "Nope."
'Oh... because, I do. Actually, it's someone we're going to meet soon.' Allie admitted blushing more.
"Really who?" Inner asked sounding excited.
'Well, his name's Shay.' Allie answered sitting on the bed. 'He's amazing, he's a little bit older than me... well older than I was but he's just amazing.'
She looked through the Deck seeing the standard Aquaactress cards but sees that it's really lacking in terms of members cause she sees 3 copies each of several cards with other cards being there to make up for the lack of cards.
Frowning Allie looked at the deck. 'Is this every card you have?'
"Yeah, I love that Deck but it's missing a lot of things." Inner admitted with a sheepish tone before asking, "Hey what's this I'm looking at from your memories?"
'What are you talking about?' Allie asked curiously while looking at the deck. 'I think we should work on making it a little stronger for the championship, but we obviously keep the theme. It's really cute.'
"It's what looks like... a blue haired boy wearing a cap holding a microphone."
Knowing what she's talking about Allie said, 'Oh... well it's this game, I liked to play back home.'
"A game, what kind of game?" Inner asked curiously.
'A rhythm game called Friday Night Funkin', it's really awesome.' Allie answered with a smile, 'You play as this boy who goes in rap battles against opponents.'
"Whoa. It sounds like it can be well with my Deck." Inner admitted with a smile in her voice.
'You think? Well... it doesn't have any cards though so we might have to think about something else.' Allie admitted.
That was when Allie had an idea from what Inner said. Go well with her Deck, and it's lacking support which would probably mean...
Creating new cards that can be based on Friday Night Funkin' to support the Deck. 'Oh wait, maybe it can? We could have some cards made.'
"Huh? We can?" Inner asked her, "Do you know how?"
Allie frowned at that due to not having any idea how to create the cards. Feeling that Inner suggested, "Well why not trying asking my-I mean... OUR parents?"
Allie nodded before taking a breath and opening the door. "Mom, dad?"
They were on the table chatting before turning over hearing her as her mother smiled, "Yes, dear? Is there something on your mind?"
"I was just thinking... after what happened with the Leo Institute, I'm not sure if my deck is good enough." Allie admitted. "I don't want to let Zuzu and the others down though."
"What? What's wrong with your Deck, sweetie?" her father asked concerned.
"Nothing, but... the LID students were so strong." Allie admitted uncertainly. "They could Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Summon."
"I think I get it. With the Championship around the corner, there might be others who done that." her mother said hearing that.
"Well, I don't know how we can help her with getting new cards." her father admitted at this.
Getting an idea, her mother said to him, "Actually, it might not be that hard. Hopefully it's still open..." Pulling out a laptop she checked over something.
"Mom?" Allie asked seeing that.
Seeing it her mother smiled, "Ah good, there's one spot left." Looking up she said, "Come take a look at this Allie."
She turns it over for Allie to see. Blinking Allie looked to see what it was. She sees it seemed like openings for a contest where they will have to create new cards for either a new archetype or new support. The winner will not only have those cards printed for real, and use them but also receive a big cash prize in addition along with whatever Duel School their from to receive the support of one of most top big deals in the nation.
Allie's eyes widened in shock before looking over the rules.
1. Create effects that are fair, and not too much against the opponent. (Alternate victory conditions included)
2. Artwork has to be included with the cards created.
3. Do not have the cards created be the same as one other existing archetype (support created cards are excluded).
4. All cards must be completely made from the imagination.
5. Have fun with the card making.
Allie's eyes widened. 'This is... amazing. We can make cards that work well with your deck and...'
She suddenly paused and blushed before shaking her head before her parents noticed.
"This is amazing, thank you so much mom."
"It's no trouble. Should I sign you to apply?" her mother asked with a smile.
"Yeah, thank you so much." Allie smiled. 'I wonder if I could make him a card too.'
Later that night...
While Allie is sleeping her mother was signing her in, and was frowning a bit which her husband when he walked in to notice when he walked in from noticing she wasn't in bed yet.
"Is everything alright dear?" he asked her.
Looking at him she answered, "Take a look at the fee of this thing honey."
Confused he walked over, and checked the price.
$50.00
"No." she answered before saying, "We're already making ends meet with our rent, and to her tuition on You Show. Paying for this would result in us not having enough for either unless she wins the reward money."
"So what should we do?" he asked her.
Her mother only looked before saying to him, "It's a big gamble... but if it's worth seeing a smile on our daughter's face, I would give everything for that to happen."
"Alright. No way back." she smiled typing in finishing the sign up paying the fee, "All that's left is up to her."
Speaking of her Allie was sleeping.
Dream...
Allie in her regular appearance looking around seeing a grass plain with a table having several chairs before Inner appeared in her real appearance with a smile.
Allie smiled. "Hi."
"Hi miss." Inner smiled before saying, "You look pretty."
"Ah, thanks." Allie smiled.
Inner looked around, "I guess Mr or Mrs God made this place for us to talk whenever you go to sleep." She only smiled, "Well it just means we can see each other for real, and talk."
"Well I definitely appreciate it." Allie smiled back. "It's nice to talk to you like this."
They sat down on the chair as Inner then asked, "So how was your first day here?"
"It was... interesting." Allie admitted before smiling. "We should figure out ideas for the contest right?"
"Do we have a TV or something for me to view this Friday Night Funkin' for us to try?" Inner asked at that which is a good point since she doesn't know about it, and the game doesn't exist in this world.
"Well, this is inside our head so..." Allie started before focusing to try and create one.
Soon after a large flat screen appeared in front of them. Allie blinked. "Well, that works. Let me show you how the game works."
Inner nodded as they viewed it. Starting off with a tutorial with a red-haired girl wearing a dress on top of speakers where they learned. After that was against a gray skinned man having glowing red eyes three songs for his level or called 'week' which they gotten passed. The opponents have arrow keys for them to press to hit notes on the TV's left while the player's own keys are on the right with a bar below showing them both as if showing HP since the opponent's icon doesn't move whenever they hit notes but the player does. When the song is finished they win with a score being kept while seeing the same girl on the speakers the entire time usually throwing out scared looks whenever a note is missed while the boy Inner described before is the player character.
"This looks fun, but... how will we make cards like it?" Inner asked.
"We got all night to think." Allie smiled as they discussed a bit over things a bit throughout the night while also making artwork from their views. Soon after that Allie feels herself waking up.
"I'll see you tomorrow." Allie smiled as she slowly opened her eyes to find herself back in her new room.
End Dream...
After walking in the kitchen she was surprised to find stacks of paper with paint, and brushes along with crayons on the table with her parents waiting.
Seeing them Allie smiled. "I guess I should get to work?"
"We will give you some privacy honey. You just have fun doing this." her mother smiled to her.
"I know you will make great cards for them. Do us proud my little girl!" her father called with a big grin.
Allie smiled before getting started designing the cards she and Inner came up with. Several times in the day her mother, and father walked to check on her, and give her some snacks she asked her being hard at work while being careful on the paints. Eventually she finished all the cards before pausing and taking one extra piece of paper and getting different paints than the ones she'd been using before.
Knock Knock Knock.
Allie froze before carefully hiding the paper. "Come in."
Her parents walked in as her mother smiled, "Well princess, you made quite a bit."
"And you done the artwork so well!" her father smiled seeing the artworks of the cards, "Why didn't you tell us, you know how to paint like that?"
"It took a long time, I wanted them to look good." Allie admitted only to pause. "I'm almost done though, how do I submit them again?"
"We will take a ride to the Leo Institute for them to be submitted." her mother answered at that, "When your ready be sure to tell me, and your father, and we will head out."
"Ok, thanks." Allie smiled.
They left allowing Allie to finish things. Soon after finishing up they headed arriving at the Leo Institute. From seeing the building herself Allie is in awe. Inner shuddered seeing it.
"Come along dear!" her mother called with a smile.
They headed over arriving at the receptionist as he looks up, "Yes, is there something I can help you with?"
"Yes, my daughter has cards for the creation contest." she answered.
"Um... here you go." Allie mentioned putting the papers on the counter.
The receptionist blinked before saying, "Oh so you must be the girl that had the last entry. Well we are just looking over the designs, so you arrived just in time."
"That's good." Allie's father smiled.
Once that happened they were told to wait in a room with the other applicants. They all walked over arriving in the room sitting down. Allie feels someone looking at her turning to see a snooty looking blonde haired girl looking at her with a smirking look. Inner groaned noticing her, "Not her..."
'Huh?' Allie thought. 'Who is she?'
"That's Garnet. She's... well let's say shadow that looms over me for a long time." Inner answered at that, "She always says she's better then everyone, and makes me her personal way of showing that telling me I'll never be a good duelist. I never let that bother me, but it's so frustrating to put up with her."
Allie frowned. 'Sorry.'
"No it's okay." Inner said.
Her parents told her they will head to get some water walking off. When alone Allie notices Garnet walking to her with a smirk saying, "Well well little Fishy Allie is here again. I'm honestly surprised you were able to be in this type of event." She scoffed shrugging, "Ah well it doesn't matter what you come up with, no-one wants to see artwork of sissy fishes."
"What did you make?" Allie asked her.
Frowning she didn't tempt her Garnet scoffed, "Well you must know, something that's actually worth a view. A new archetype of strong Beasts that allows people deserving like me to stop anything the opponent can do."
"Stop anything?" Allie asked hearing that. "What do you mean?"
"Why would I bother to tell you?" Garnet asked before smirking, "All you need to know is that it guarantees victory every time it's used."
Allie frowned before turning back. 'The sad thing is... that sounds like how people I know actually play.'
"Ah fell silent cause you know my idea is better then your sissy fishes?" Garnet smirked seeing that before shrugging, "Well not that it matter so why not do yourself a favor, and give up now, and place them where they belong? In the trash."
Laughing she walked off. Allie can feel Inner being angry cause of Garnet insulting her Deck.
'It's ok.' Allie thought to her. 'Your deck is amazing.'
Inner takes a breath at this.
A few hours later...
"Okay everyone it is time to announce the winner of this contest!" a employee announced to a crowd, "All of the entries made unique combos with interesting abilities, but only one of them rose to the top!"
Garnet had sat beside Allie smirking preparing to rub in Allie's face when she wins. Allie notices her parents in the crowd smiling, and giving thumbs up to encourage her. Allie smiled only to blush. 'I hope they don't reveal the winning cards though.'
The trophy holding a check that carries the winning money along with the cards in a plastic case showing them on one side was brought over as the employee smiled before asking, "Drumroll please?"
Everyone listened to see the results. The drumroll was heard as the employee announced, "The winner of the Leo Institute's card creation contest is..." Garnet began to stand up with a smirk from thinking she won only to hear.
"Allie Mizuto!"
"I... I won?" Allie asked before smiling. "I won!"
Everyone began clapping while Garnet stunned asked, "What!?"
One of the employees handed the cards to her as she smiled looking at them. Enraged from losing Garnet yelled, "You can't be serious!" They looked to her which she then decides it's not worth making a fuss so she spat, "This is so dumb!" She stomped away from this.
Allie smiled. 'We won this together inner.'
Inner cheered a bit before a female employee said to her, "Those are probably some of the most cutest cards, I ever seen."
"Well cuteness aside, it's also quite deadly." another employee said with a smile, "Unlike her's, those cards you made also had some fair drawbacks."
"Along with them looking fun to use with a performer based deck being combined with a music based support." the announcer added to her with a smile, "So young lady, you not only gotten the honor of winning, you also earned the prize money, and earned the support of Kathira Enterprises for your Duel School. What Duel School do you go too?"
He brings the microphone for her to answer.
"I attend the You Show Duel School." Allie answered with a smile.
The crowd looked at each other discussing about it which Allie, and Inner can hear the words of 'coward', 'embarrassment', and 'chicken' most likely cause of Yusho Sakaki the namesake of the Duel School.
The announcer then asked Allie without the microphone, "By the way, what is with that Xyz Monster? It's not a part of the archetype your supporting."
"Oh... that." Allie blushed not sure how to answer as Inner realized it must be because of her crush on that Shay person she mentioned.
"Just repeat what I say." Inner said trying to help.
Allie repeated what she said without thinking what she said which the announcer blinked before shrugging, "Well, I suppose there are loopholes in rules everywhere."
Allie nodded with a smile. "Thank you."
He nodded back before her parents headed over where her father scooped her up hugging her close, "Oh Allie we're so proud of you little princess!"
"Thanks dad." she smiled hugging him back.
"Well now, Allie some people want to congratulate you." her mother smiled before looking over behind Allie.
Blinking she turned around. She sees several people she recognizes.
First was a red haired, orange jumpsuited man.
Next was a tall boy wearing a white gi with wooden sandles.
Then was a green haired boy in overalls.
Next to him was a blue haired boy wearing a black vest.
After him was another boy that has light blue hair having a ponytail wearing a dark purple blazer.
And a pink haired girl wearing a white tanktop.
Finally next is a crimson, and green haired boy with goggles on his head all walking over with smiles.
"Everybody." Allie smiled seeing them before running over and hugging Zuzu.
Zuzu smiled hugging her back, "Hey Allie great job winning that contest."
"Thanks big sis." Allie smiled warmly.
Ulrich362: Well, the new Allie and Inner have created a few new cards for the Aquaactress archetype, and met a potential rival. Maybe next time we'll see her cards in action?
bopdog111: And based on Friday Night Funkin' too.
Ulrich362: Admittedly I haven't played it but Bopdog has.
bopdog111: Actually, I haven't either. I just looked up videos similar to Undertale.
Ulrich362: Oh, my mistake. Fair enough though, see you in the next chapter.
bopdog111: Be sure to review!
