Today was the day. Aria fidgeted as she sat in the teachers' lounge. Aizawa sat across from her and explained what was expected of her in class. He would go easy on her, but for only so long. The time she spent with Bakugo, Midoriya and Todoroki had helped immensely. Of course, the many hours she had spent in therapy and with her sister had helped too. Still she fidgeted more and pulled long black gloves tighter. She didn't want to risk anyone accidently seeing her scars. It was bad enough the socks didn't totally cover her legs, so a small amount had shown. Aizawa sighed and placed his hand gently on her hand.
"You'll be fine. You already know four classmates. One being your own sister. Also, you should know that Principle Nezu is making an exception for the two of you to be in this class. Neither of you have had any training to become heroes. Not to mention it basically goes against the schools rules to have more than twenty students per class. There was a lucky break for your sister as a student had dropped out creating an opening. But, you're a special case." Aizawa stated flatly. His face emotionless as he yawned. "with that, the three you befriended will have your back this entire time. In fact I'm pretty sure they are planning some sort of party at the dorms for you." He rubbed the back of his neck and sighed again as the door slid open and Midoriya gleamed at her. The raven haired teacher stood and gestured to the young girl. Deku would be escorting her to class. She stood and fidgeted and tried to adjust her uniform again. even with a turtleneck body suit, gloves and thigh high socks, she still felt too exposed. Midoriya gently took her hand and smiled warmly.
"You look fine. None of your scars are showing." He gave his signature smile, reassuring her as she nodded. Her grip on his hand tightened as he led her from the room. Though, they would wait for their home room teacher to make his entrance into the class first to introduce her. As usual the class erupted with the girls being excited for yet another girl and the guys for the same reason. They weren't all aware of her circumstances though. all they knew was that Aria was Lindsey's twin sister. When Eraser Head silenced the class once more it was Midoriya's cue to bring Aria into the class. Even though she wasn't a zombie any more she was still afraid of almost everything and everyone. the exception of course being her sister, the teachers and the three boys who visited her nearly daily. Even though it was Deku who was leading her in, she had wished that Bakugo was the one escorting her through the campus today. she knew he'd grumble and complain about it but she liked his company. Not that didn't enjoy Midorya's company. He was sweet and was telling her all about the different training areas they had and all about the USJ. Frankly, the campus was huge and Midoriya went into detail about everything as he let his inner nerd shine through. Bakugo would have just carried her on his back and told her about each of the sections quickly while adding some sort of rude remark about each.
After a very exhausting day of being in classes and then about four hours of getting the grand tour of the U.A. campus Deku and Aria headed back towards the dorms. He carried her on his back as she was all but asleep. She wasn't use to this amount of physical exertion. Deku felt a bit bad, he knew he went overboard. He just wanted her to see things how he did. He wanted her to see how amazing the school was. He knew that once she got used to it all she'd love it as much as everyone else does. He stopped for a moment to adjust his grip on the now sleeping girl on his back. He turned a deep crimson red when he realized that she was fully pressed against his back. His teenage hormones almost rising to the surface. He shook his head and began to walk again when someone, no two people could be seen walking down the pathway from the dorms. He stopped moving into a fighting stance. It was after hours and curfew so he knew no one would be out at this time. Deku also knew that Aria had been targeted since the incident. He didn't know what the incident was or what happened to her after. He just knew she was a victim who needed a hero. His eyes narrowed as he prepared to set her down as the two figures began to come into view.
"Damn Deku!!! Where the hell have you two been!?" A gruff but familiar voice called out. "Oi, Lindsey we found them!" He called over his shoulder as a third figure started to come into view. Why were the street lamps out? Midoriya relaxed instantly as Bakugou, Todoroki and Lindsey came into full view. Bakugou had the classic 'you damn Deku' angry look on his face. He glared darkly at the broccoli boy.
"K...Kaachan!" Midoriya began. For some reason when he looked at his like that it made him nervous. Yeah they were rivals and all misunderstandings had been cleared up long ago but that look always stirred a sort of fear inside him. "I went a bit overboard showing her around" he laughed nervously, as Lindsey immediately checked on her sister. Lindsey breathed a sigh of relief seeing that she was just asleep. She moved a piece of her hair from her face and turned to the two hero trainees and nodded.
"She's fine. just exhausted it looks." Todoroki smiled warmly to the raven haired girl. Their eyes meeting slightly before both looked away blushing a bit. Bakugo grumbled and stomped over to Midoriya then turned and knelt to one knee.
"I'll take her. you've been carrying her this whole time right? her motioned for Her to be transferred to his back. Deku shifted his shoulders. She wasn't heavy but he was carrying her for the last hour.. even with this training and due to the substantial injuries he had received to his arms previously it was getting difficult to keep holding her.
"Thanks Kaachan! Aria... Aria.. wake up." He looked over his shoulder at the sleeping girl and his heart broke a bit. It was his fault she was this tired. "On second thought, I'll be ok Kaachan."
"It is best not to disturb her after all. she's sleeping so soundly." Todoroki chirped in.
"Tsk... fine.." Bakugo stood and glared forward. "let's just get back before Aizawa finds out we're all missing..." He shoved his hands in his pockets and stomped forward like a child. Lindsey snorted and thought Bakugo resembled a kid not getting the candy they asked for. Bakugo glared at the girl as the group made their way back to the dorms together. Todoroki and Lindsey chatted lightly. he said something that made her giggle a little bit.. Bakugo pouted and growled at the flirting.. "Get a fucking room..." He stomped away from them leaving all three blinking in confusion.
Finally, they made it back to the dorms. Aizawa was no where to be seen. Which was relief. Bakugo was already inside yelling profanities at the Baku-squad as he stomped into the kitchen area to join Satou. As the trio entered the place went a bit quiet. Bakugo must have mentioned that she was asleep.
"uh... is she going to be up for the party?" Kaminari asked as he stepped down from a step stool after he finished putting up some streamers.
"Lindsey winked and smiled" yeah she'll be fine. I'll wake her up and get her changed. once she eat some of Bakugou's food she'll get her energy back. she'll def want to come when I tell her he's cooking for her again. She giggled slightly. Denki gave a thumbs up as Todoroki smiled to Lindsey and left her side to help finish preparations. Lindsey then motioned Midoriya to follow her to the elevators. Of course, he blushed and gave a gulp. He hadn't been on the girl's side of the dorms since they first moved in in year one. when they had that room competition. Satou had won because of the chiffon cake he was coincidently making. Once in the elevator, Lindsey pressed the button for their floor. "You can just plop her on her bed and go" she laughed a bit " You're nervous around girls aren't you. Well everyone but Aria... and Uraraka that is." She gave him a sly smile. Deku immediately turned a bright red. This made Lindsey laugh a bit harder "just ask her out already. She likes you too.
"B...but, she's your sister! a...and.. I... it's It's not like that!!" Deku practically screamed. Aria stirred on his back. He shut up quickly and looked at her slightly blushing. Yeah she was cute. but he didn't really think of her in that way. He thought of her as a friend and someone who needed help. Lindsey blushed a bit then burst out laughing.
"I meant Uraraka!" Lindsey almost but a gut. She thought Deku was absolutely adorable. like a little kid even. but she knew better. she knew what the Fluffy haired boy was capable of. She was paired him during training a few times. by now Aria groaned as she rubbed her eyes. Midoriya made sure she was mostly awake before kneeling down to let her off of his back, giving his tired arms a much needed break.
"Wh...Where..." Aria blushed as she blinked and looked around. she yawned and focused her eyes. "an elevator?" her eyes widened. "ohmgoodness! Midoriya-kun I'm so sorry!! I fell asleep didn't I! I'm so sorry!! " she kept bowing apologetically.
"N...No. it's my fault! I got carried away showing you around!" He laughed nervously. Lindsey looked between them. she smirked a bit. Maybe they were cute together. She laughed a bit just as the elevator dinged and the doors opened to their floor. "oh uhm.. I.. I guess I'll see you two downstairs?" Lindsey nodded and shoved Aria gently from the elevator and waved as he pressed the button to make the elevator return to the first floor.
Lindsey guided Aria to her room and handed her the key. "The honor is yours sis! Welcome to the U.A. dorms!" Lindsey held her arms wide and smiled happily. Aria blinked sleepily at her sister. How the hell could she be so full of energy? She yawned and turned the key over in her gloved hand she blushed gently. She thought about how far she had to come to get to this point. She wasn't nearly even close to being her old self. Would she ever get there? Was she even the same person? She sighed and pushed the key into the keyhole and turned it. Hearing the click of the lock she turned the knob and opened the door to the dark room. Un able to contain her excitement Lindsey reached in and turned the light on. Revealing her room. Partially decorated. It looked basic with her bed on the right hand side of the wall and her dresser and a small desk on the left. Directly in front was the small balcony. light purple curtains hung over the doors blocking he view to or from the outside world. The floor had a dark grey plush area rug and there were some posters of music groups she hadn't recognized, as well as some... action figures? There was also a large paper folded fan hanging on the wall above her bed. It was such a cash of tastes and styles. Almost like more than one person decorated it.
"uhm.. Linds you didn't decorate did you?" Aria asked sheepishly. She knew her sister had no sense of decorating sense whatso ever so it was entirely possible that Lindsey just grabbed whatever.
"Nope! Midoriya, Bakugou and Todoroki did! I just put away your stuff! Looks great right!? They were so sweet! Midoriya gave you those All might figures! Bakugou bought the rug and curtains! and Todoroki bought you that fan! Those three are so sweet!!" Lindsey spoke excitedly as she went over to Aria's closet and pulled out a long dress. It was long sleeved and a high neckline. Aria wouldn't have to wear the body suit. It was also a dark purple with some lace at the end of the sleeves and at the hem.
"uhm what's that?" Aria pointed at the dress as Lindsey giggled. I don't remember owning anything like that.
"It's a gift! from Mr. Aizawa! its for your party tonight!"
"Wa.wait! P...Party!? w...why!? b...but I'm nothing special!"
Lindsey laughed. "Well, everyone knows you've been through something awful and they want to make you feel welcome. you can rely on them, on us. Bakugou and Sato made all of the food. I know how much you love Bakugou's cooking. Aria's eyes lit up slightly at the mention of not just Bakugou's name but his cooking. when she lived in the teachers dorms he came over often after that one time to make her something. It came to be one of her favorite parts of his visits. She blushed and held out her hands to the dress. Lindsey smiled widely and helped her sister change. Once the raven haired girl was satisfied with how her twin looked she hooked their arms and headed towards the party.
The common was a buzz with activity of teens playing video games, listening to music or talking. Bakugo had just finished putting a plate of pizza rolls on the large center table when little Eri ran past him and glomped Aria. Lindsey laughed at the site of the little girl. Wait... if Eri was there that meant... Lindsey looked around seeing Togata Mirio, who waved happily to them. Lindsey waved back as Aria picked up the little girl who happily hugged her neck. Everyone seemed to notice their entrance but were subtle about it. except for Bakugou. he stomped over to them and crossed his arms.
"Took you long enough... how long does it take to change?" his eye twitched slightly his question was directed more towards Lindsey than Aria. He was always careful around her. Lindsey shrugged.
"Do you know how long it takes to take off a full body suit and get this girl here into a dress? she smirked knowing a small secret about Bakugou. He coughed and blushed slightly and just walked away. He sat on the couch and grabbed one of his home made pizza rolls and shoved it in his mouth. His eyes shift and looked at Aria quickly before shifting back forward as he watched Kirishima get his ass handed to him by Ashido Mina at a fighting game. Kiri threw his hands up
"That's it! She can't be beat!" Kirishima relinquished the controller as Bakugou ripped it from his hands. Lindsey laughed as Eri slid down from Aria's arms and led her to the group listening to music. She introduced her to Mirio. Aria nervously chatted with him for a bit before Eri dragged her to another student. That's pretty much how the night went until Bakugou grabbed the child and picked her up by the back of her shirt. Making the girl struggle and flail her arms and legs before Midoriya came to her rescue. Bakugou handed Eri over to Deku before turning back to Aria.
"At least eat something..." he gently took a hold of her wrist and brought her over to the large table full of now dwindling food. He pointed to a post on the large semi circle couch where Aria quickly sat. she blushed a bit and her mouth watered. She was starving even what's more it was Bakugou who made all of the food. He made her up a plate and sat it in front of her on the table then sat himself. Sitting next to her. He leaned back and put his arms behind his head and closed one eye. keeping the other on her as she dug into the delicious food. one by one her classmates would come and chat and reintroduce themselves to her. Bakugou never left her side. At one point without Aria even seeing her opened his palm and caused a few micro explosions when Mineta approached with a perverted look on his face. Bakugou glared darkly at the pop-off boy and he simply turned and walked away. the rest of the night was spent with the three boys she knew the best and her sister with Kirishima and Kaminari joining in. Over all it was a good and successful Welcome Party.
