"I still can't believe, I'm with such a stupid idiot like you."

"It's my fault?!"

"Maybe not, yet for some reason, because of you, I'm only getting to know dumber and dumber persons." She sighed, as she closed her car doors with a loud bump. "I can't believe he has done that."

Hookfang glanced at her, his sight remained on the building before them. Hospital. "You know, our Sharpshot, even for his little body, sometimes can show his stubborn side." After leaving the vehicle they walked through parking lots toward the said building. Sarah turned rapidly around, with the click of her keys locked her dark blue Toyota, just so she again followed her track. "Nobody forced him into replacing Tobias."

She clicked her mouth with an instant eye roll. "But to fucking broke his leg? Was he serious at that moment?!"

"I told him Toothless's position isn't the easiest. Not my fault he ignored me."

"Couldn't you, at last, try to, I don't know, convince him?!" She would glance at her companion, which after her words only tensed as well as his brows lowered, showing his disapproval. She bit her lip. "Okay. I'm sorry, you probably tried, but then you know me. Something is smelling funny in that situation, probably my knowledge about you. I'm sure you would be done everything, just so the team wouldn't break apart, yet I don't know if those are for good reasons."

He breathed loudly. "I'm so bad because I'm trying to keep the team stable?"

"It's not reason. The reason is that you're trying so hard, because of which one of your friends ended up in the hospital, and worst is that your doings aren't made with good intentions." James avoided the look in her eyes and glanced somewhere by his right side. She stared at him, just so as well her sight left him onto hers forwards. "You're doing that just so Dragons would play in the next games, am I not right? You supported his decision, so the team would have a suitable amount of players."

"And you're cursing me because of it?! You know, it's really important to me!"

"Very well! But then, before encouraging someone into something bad for him, you could think about other options like, I don't know, come to terms with Toothless?!"

Both of them now found themselves before automatic doors, which just by their presence opened widely. After coming through them, silence remained between them. It was only one day after they argued with said boy. Sarah felt hurt by him, he just pushed her out of his house after she just wanted to help. That was the truth, they shouldn't just welcome themselves into his household, but she couldn't help herself then when she saw his situation. Because of it, their whole team was going apart.

He missed only two training, yet these were now much more important. Cloudjumper always pushed them into work before starting into spring games. From her boyfriend's storytelling, she could say Cloudjumper was mad, like really mad. Whatever decision Tobias made, it's his. It's his life, but he could at least try communicating with his friends and informing them about his reasons, rather than just disappearing without explanation.

The most hurtful thing was her boyfriend's state. Yes, she knew he was often just a pain in the ass, yet it was who he was. Both of them, Toothless and Hookfang, created relations that both amazed her, like confusion. Mocking, pissing, and even cursing each other, even so, it was a strong relationship indeed. Hookfang was missing it, she could easily say. She didn't know, if Toothless did, and it was saddening her. Maybe, it could not be enough for Tobias to change, which would help him into transforming his thought about lifestyle, but then, shouldn't Tobias be bothered that because of one argument they could just break apart?

Going through corridors, they found themselves opposite reception where both asked about their friend's presence. With a friendly, rather bright smile receptionist informed them that Teddy, aka Sharpshot, was last found in one of the closest to them rooms.

With a slight creak of doors, they moved into it, being welcomed by the view of a said friend laying on the hospital bed. Over him, sitting was a figure in which Hookfang could recognize his grandma. She had those grey hair and brown eyes which were encircled by the strangest glasses he ever saw. She smiled at them brightly. "Welcome sweethearts. It's nice to see you again."

Sarah was first to speak, as well smiled at the elder. "As well as seeing you miss." She glanced over, despite his situation, the smiley face of Teddy. "How is doing our player?"

He sighed, rather joyful. "Fine. I'm just blaming myself." He saddened. "Now, I wouldn't play for something like a month at last."

"Don't worry about it now! It's not even your fault, accidents happen!" She started pocking James with her elbow, a smile remaining on her face, but Hookfang couldn't help, but notice that it might in others' view be indeed happy, in his was rather now upset smile, upset at him.

"Right. There isn't any hurry about it. I'm sure nobody from the team even minds. Just, rest now." His voice didn't sound rather confident about these words. The terrible stare of his grandma, as well as another of those furious glances of Sarah, gave him feeling or rather forced him into better forming his words. "I'm serious. Good rest might be best for you now. You will see, in no time you get back onto the rink!"

"I wish so." Teddy breathed loudly, looking now at the ceiling. "It starting to get boring in here."

Grandma grabbed him now in fist palm. "Honey, be patient. I'm sure your friends would be understanding, besides-" She got hold onto his cheek. "-with grandma you wouldn't be bored. I promise you that." She started shaking it lightly.

Teddy became whole red. "Mama! Stop it! My friends are watching!" He struggled with her, but she didn't seem to be bothered.

"So what? Let them see how it is to have a caring grandma!" She stopped and gave him a light kiss on the cheek.

"Mama!"

"If they will bothering you because of it, they are just jealous."

Both Sarah and James observed the whole situation, she would just smile, while he wouldn't be able to keep his giggle inside. As a way to calm him, Sarah poked his stomach with her elbow, because of which said the boy had to take a few deep breaths. Afterward, he made her offended look, just so after seeing her victorious smile, a smirk slightly streamed onto his face. He gets to hold onto her thigh, making her slightly blush, as he gets her closer to him, sending her kiss onto his cheek. She became whole red. "Hookfang!" She tried to push him away. "People are watching!"

He shrugged his shoulders. "If they will bothering you because of it, they are just jealous."

After an uncountable amount of time, after storytelling from Teddy's grandma about his past, after loudly laughing at Hookfang, which was interrupted by an elbow into his lungs, the pair left them alone, getting ready towards leaving the hospital. They didn't seem to be mad at each other anymore, holding hands and walking through corridors. A little scuffle caused a lack of balance, his sight was met with one of the hospital carts. It wouldn't be bothering him if it wasn't about an object that was laying here.

A baseball jacked, whole red, but with those black shelves. Its position was rather untidy, he would see only its back, by which sewed was a moon, as well as a few fire flames. Knowing that one, he was sure at the front there was by the right side of the chest sewed black letter 'N'. He stopped immediately, because of which his hold on his girlfriend's palm was broken after a few of her steps. She glanced over at him, and he rapidly took his sight out of it, looking at her.

She tilted her head. "Something wrong."

He cleared his throat. "What? No, nothing!" His mind still was racing after viewing that jacket. "You better go off without me."

She smiled at him. "That's nice you want to stay longer with him." Then, she straightens. "Are you sure? You won't have a car, maybe I will come back for you after a while?"

"No, it's okay. I will be back onto foot."

"Alright then." She waved with her palm. "See you later!" She turned around and walked away.

Seeing she was gone, his sight again catch the said object. He shouldn't lie to her, but then he wanted to do this on his own. Sarah had always been responsible, always checking over everything, and because of this, he was sure she would again stop him from something he wanted to do. He wanted to do it on his own. When he focused, he noticed someone meanwhile starting to push the cart, an auburn hair colored with those green eyes woman in a hospital uniform. He immediately rushed towards her. Noticing him, she stopped. "Good evening sir. Is there something I can help you with?"

He nodded and pointed over a jacket. "I'm looking for an owner of that." For some unknown reason his heart started racing, what had he done to end up in the hospital?!

She smiled at him. "Do you know each other?"

"We're friends."

"Then, I'm sure you're impatient to see him, aren't you?" He nodded slowly. "Then, I'm leading away." She moved forward and as she did Hookfang immediately found himself by her side, following her.

They were walking through corridors, bypassing only another door, each of them making him only more confused and stressed. What was going on?! She stopped by one of the last ones from the corridor. With a slight move of hand almost commanded James into helping her with opening them. As said, he did. She went first with that cart and just behind her, he went inside.

Glancing at his surroundings he finally catches a view of his friend. He was standing to him by the back, that was one relief he wasn't laying on the bed, his wide shoulders, with a turtleneck on, were looking over him. James didn't make any sound and patiently waited for his first move. Or maybe it was the confusion? After the woman's calling, he finally turned and Hookfang froze. He wasn't alone. If it wasn't for a light in the room, as well as for his black turtleneck, there wouldn't be any option he would see a little bundle against his wide chest. He didn't expect it at all. A tiny child, infant nonetheless, in his arms. His arms! Strangest wasn't even that, but the way Toothless looked at it. In way of his turn, before he noticed him, he was smiling. Tobias fucking Night was smiling. This was the view he wouldn't get out of his mind for some time on.

Noticing Hookfang inside, Tobias immediately straightens. Both stared now at each other, both unbelievable about another presence. He didn't know what to feel about James being here now. Angry? No. Maybe scared? He wished. Confused? That one was the best option. Hearing sobbing, he immediately glanced down, noticing his charge's distress, and he focused his attention on him. There might be much of reasons why would he cry over it, but then he was sure about what was that one. Toothless became tense, from his body there was coming uncountable amount of unknown him stress. And Hiccup felt that.

James continued staring, now his eyes became only wider. His whole body was screaming for the explanation, while his mind was just now empty with it. He screeched his head when he felt a presence behind his back. "Cute view, isn't it?" She pointed at Toothless, about which James made a puzzled look. "Amaya Maidenwing, call me Atali."

She handed him her hand, and he rather tightly accepted it. "James Marenight."

"I see there is often 'Night' in those surnames of yours."

"Coincidence." He breathed loudly and crossed his arms over his chest, still, his sight remained over his friend which was now turned by side. "What's going on?"

"You don't know?" He shook his head. "Well, mister Night found a few days ago young Henry on the streets. After that, he almost every day is coming here."

He sighed loudly, sorrowful. "Tragic story."

"Indeed. I'm really happy with help of Tobias. It's reassuring someone wants to take care of such a boy as him."

His sight remained, stood, because of which he was able to analyze the whole situation. His friend. His best friend. His undoubtedly most cold and straight friend, now holding the child with such care. As he focused on his face, behind those bangs of his, there was a smirk as he glanced over at the boy situated in his arms. He didn't have to stare too long to notice how happy he looked. Now, he didn't have any obstructions to say that maybe, just maybe, it was good indeed that he left training if that made him happier. He was embarrassed, scratched his head as well as lowered his sight, just by thought it wasn't good for him. It was satisfying, to see him in such joy.

Then, something clicked in his mind. "He's often taking care of him?"

"Well, every day almost a few hours." She glanced over at him, and she tensed. "Is that wrong?"

"No. I think. I'm just-" He whispered. "-he can't take care of himself, then how is he able to take care of someone?"

Her eyes widen. "What you mean, he can't take care of himself?"

"You should have seen him in the morning. It's like a walking zombie or other shit." He breathed, then continued. "He overworking himself easily. Last time, he even stopped going to training. Yesterday I saw him, I'm almost sure he slept by the table, with his clothes on."

She nodded, her sight lowered onto the ground. "Good to know."

At those words, for a moment his sight remained on her, just so it would turn yet again in a direction of his friend. He was now stroking the little one's head, carefully. In those, as he noticed earlier, emotionless eyes, now shining was a bright light. Those big arms of his, which always were tense, and taut, now were careful, loosened, relaxed. His brows always were almost over his eyes, showing his disapproval over everything, now lightly raised showing rather worry, than anger. The strangest view would give him the sight of his lips. There were times, a smirk came at those, but reasoned that was almost every time by mocking, maybe fake mirth, that smile was something different. It showed proudly just pure happiness.

Eventually, Toothless would bring his hands towards the hospital bassinet. Henry was asleep in his hold. Hookfang's eyes went wide. How this fucker was able to get an infant to sleep?! Maybe, it was indeed a two-sided relationship? Afterward, when Tobias situated his little, tiny body into a good position, he would stare at it for a mere moment, then his sight turned to him. James felt a cold glare over his body, a slight shiver went through his back. Toothless sighed, then finally straighten and walked towards him. His face was likely saddened that he had to leave.

"Are you by car?" Toothless cold, harsh voice surrounded his ears.

He focused. "No."

"I'll drive you home." He then turned towards Atali. "I'm sorry, but today I have to come back home earlier, but see you tomorrow."

She nodded, but the way even Hookfang could say something was odd. "We will see." She then turned and walked towards her patient.

For a moment later, Tobias would stare at her, his mind likely racing with thoughts. Finally, turning to Hookfang, he poked his shoulder and bypass him, showing him to follow, without any doubt he had done so. Before leaving, with a swift movement of his arm, he took a jacked from a cart, instantly throwing it against his back. The way toward the parking park was silent, both boys just walked by each other, not willing to even glance at the other one. As they pass through the corridor and main hall, they left through the center exit. They went forward until both their sights catch a dark, black Audi before them. With one click of keys, both were able to sit inside, Tobias in the place of the driver.

With a sharp start, they now drove across the Hospital parking, just so they found themselves over the street. Hookfang, with strange nervousness, would just stare forward onto the track before them. By the lights, they stopped. 100 seconds of waiting before the change of lights. "What do you want to know?" Tobias's voice surrounded the whole vehicle, and James almost jumped from surprise.

"Since when." His arm, which placed was against the door handle, supported his head. "When it all started."

Tobias's sight remained forward, his mind thinking. "About 4 days." He cleared his throat. "I found him 4 days ago." Seeing another's puzzlement expression he continued and sighed. "I was walking towards my working spot. I was informed a pair of hands would be helpful for them, and as you know me, I wouldn't just avoid such an occasion."

"Our overworking puppy? Never." James mocked, and smiled while doing so. He missed that.

Tobias snarled. "Funny as always." Then he straightens again. "My car broke and I had to walk on foot, the problem was I didn't have much time for that. Despite it, I walked through Bork's street."

"Bork's street? I know it's your climate, yet wasn't it just fucking dumb to go by there, alone?"

"I'm not regretting it." Hookfang glanced over him as another one's face formed a smirk. "I wouldn't find him." He breathed loudly as his smirk faded. "He had hypothermia, was lacking foot as well as was born early."

Hookfang bit his lip. "Damn, horrible story." Toothless nodded, agreeing with his words. "What you did do there?" Tobias glanced at him confused. "I mean, on your place, if I found an infant on the streets I probably would faint from stress and responsibility."

He shrugged his shoulders. "I did what I have to. Called ambulance, shared body heat, nothing much more."

"You're likely a hero, probably."

"Thank you"

Timer ended. Cars before them rushed forward as Toothless as well. James couldn't help, but think through his whole situation. He found an infant boy just onto the streets, he couldn't even imagine how horrible a sight it was. Seeing Henry in the hospital, he could say he was incredibly small, tiny. He wouldn't be surprised if underneath those cloth visible were his ribs. "What about his parents?" He asked immediately.

Toothless sight remained on the road, yet Hookfang could easily say it was a hard topic for him. "Policed searched for them."

"Searched? Aren't they searching anymore?"

"Unfortunately. Whoever they were, they cleared all of the information about Henry. Without any tracks, the case was closed."

Hookfang slide through the car seat. "Fucked situation."

"Fucked."

"He is an orphan then?" He focused sight onto Tobias, likely analyzing him now. "Probably that's why you're keeping him such close." Toothless's brows moved. "You're likely seeing yourself into that little body of his."

"I won't hide anything from you."

"How you're feeling about that?"

"Honestly?" His eye moved slightly to him, another one still focused onto forwards. "Horrible. Horrible as fuck. It's that moment I can barely eat, not even saying about sleeping."

"This is the reason you jumped over us when we came to you yesterday?"

"It would be a lie if I said that's the truth." He sighed. "But then I would lie if I said it's false." The puzzled look on Hookfang's face forced him into continuing. "When I first saw the situation of Hiccup-" His sight puzzled only more. "Henry, we calling him Hiccup for some unknown reason." James nodded understanding, yet still begged for more. "When I first saw the situation of Henry, I was sorrowful, miserable, and maybe even depressed. By our first meeting I swear myself I would help him somehow, I wanted to find him the home he deserves." He stopped by that and took a deep breath. "I know you won't believe it, but I didn't do one work project while that time."

James's eyes went wide, he crossed his arms at his chest. "You're right. I don't believe you."

"I'm serious. For some time my work became searching for volunteers." He glanced slightly at him, a smirk came on his face. "Believe it or not, it's truth."

"Okay, let's say I believe you. How were you able to just search for them?"

"I just mostly exchanged messages with willing for the adoption of a child, maybe it wasn't official, yet I just shared Henry's history."

"Did it work?"

"Perfectly." After seeing his look at the face, as well as the harsh was welcomed in his mouth, he could say he was ironizing. "They are such picky it making me sick!"

"Get into their position, it's not a futuristic decision."

Toothless rapidly struggles with a wheel, making the whole vehicle shake. "And what's that supposed to mean?!" He snapped, and James almost fall from his chair onto the ground before him.

"I'm just saying it must be expensive!"

"Expensive might be a new car! Expensive might be a new house! New clothes, jewelry, phones! Not love! Love isn't expensive!" With a sharp turn, Tobias stopped the car with a handbrake. Looking out the window Hookfang noticed they were under his house. Beside him, Tobias was breathing loudly. "Every time I heard that from those people, pure fury came at me. Almost every night, while conversing with them, I'm hearing the same thing. It's hard. Truth is, it's not! He just really only needs love! It's so hard just to show one?!"

"I'm sorry." Hookfang glanced down and screeched his head. "I didn't mean it that way."

Toothless sighed, then breathed loudly again. "I guess it's alright."

"I just still don't understand, only reason why you keep helping him is that you both are orphans? Out of pity?"

Toothless closed his eyes while laying in the car seat. "If that would be so easy." After a mere moment, taking a few calming and deep breaths, he continued. "Truth is I'm not making it only for him, I'm making it also for myself. You know how it was with my father. He tried his best just so he would find me a suitable home. He died trying." His eyes opened, focused his sight on the ceiling of the car. "I just thought, if I found him that home, I would find peace. I thought if I did it, I might end up what he started. Problem is, with the amount of time, I'm starting to lose hope. I'm starting worrying there might be no one in this terrible world, who would truly love him. That's just killing me off." He placed his head over the wheel, almost accidentally honking with it.

James placed a reassuring hand over his back. "I'm sure it won't be like that. I mean, don't you love him?"

His mind was now focused. Random thoughts came into his mind, closing themselves out from the world. For some time he cared over Hiccup probably most in this world. He wanted him safe, happy, and close. His biggest scare now wasn't only the one of failing in finding him home, but also the one of losing him, not being able to see him ever again. This tiny, little bundle, every time it was against his chest, gave him a feeling he couldn't just forget. That warming feeling, because of which he just wanted everything around to disappear. His father searched for his house, but then he didn't have another choice. He searched for Hiccup's house as well, but then, he might have another choice. The question is, does he loves Hiccup? He smiled to himself, as the answer just kept forcing itself onto his mouth. "Yes, I do." Immediately he turned his whole body to Hookfang, his body tense with emotions. "What if I adopted him?" Both boys were now just staring at each other.
