"I still can't believe that they wanted to have an interview with you.", said jiro and crossed her arms while shaking her head. But she wasn't the only person in class 1-A who thought like that, many of the young heroes questioned why the news were especially so interested in the blonde hothead. Bakugo was loud and rude and even though he surely would be a good hero someday, his attitude was still kind of problematic for his career.
The blonde just scoffed and turned his head away from the music fan, knowing he would directly meet Ejiros eyes and his compliments. The redhead complimented and congratulated him already since the interview was shown on the news a few hours ago, and it slowly became annoying. "Well he's a strong hero and super manly, why wouldn't they want to interview him?", answered Kirishima on Kyokas words and put on a bright smile, being more than proud of his best friend.
But he didn't know, that this would change soon.
Katsuki stood up proudly, well arrogant to be exact, and finally also opend his mouth. "It's easy, even idiots can understand it.", Denki scoffed as bakugo glanced at him, "They wanted an actual hero and not some loser like you all. And when I'm the number one, everyone will be begging to have the chance to interview me!" All eyes landed on him after he said that and while Kirishima couldn't help but agree, many were folding there arms and looked annoyed at the ash blonde.
typical Kacchan. Izuku Midoriya, or as we all know him Deku, stood up from his seat and put on a smile, a smile that didn't meant what it should and is known for. Cause although Deku and Bakugo were kinda childhood friends, which was really questionable if you think about it, Deku also was annoyed by the constant arrogantly attitude of his often enough. But what could he do about it? Katsuki was always kind of an asshole, why would he ever willingly change? Something big would need to happen, to make Bakugo realise what an asshole he really is.
"I'm going to the bathroom, be right back guys!", announced Izuku and walked away from his small friend group, these included Ochako, Tenya, Asui and Shoto. Sadly, well more annoyingly, he needed to walk past the blondes desk to get to the bathroom, which well...didn't turn out good. The blonde used every chance he got to make fun of Izuku, so of course he didn't hesitated in this moment. that's what he always did, and probably always will do. he was a Bully anyway, so it really wasn't that much of a surprise.
"Aww! Is the nerd going to cry 'cause he's such a loser and will never get as famous as me?", teased Bakugo and added a mean laugh, "What a shitty crybaby!" He laughed and put on an evil smile, standing there, looking proud of himself for his insult. In his eyes it wasn't even an insult, it was the truth. Izuku was a crybaby, was and always will be. Starting from kindergarten on he was always the first on to cry. So why not remind him and show him his fucking place in this school, his place as weakling.
The classroom fell silent immediately and everybody including Izuku stopped with their current movement. The definitely didn't expected to hear something like that, but they surely didn't like it. Angry faces soon became visible, others such as koda looked anxious away, Tokoyami sighed feeling that this would not turn out good, the others were either annoyed, angry or felt bad for Izuku. Kirishima lowered his head, feeling uncomfortable standing next to Bakugo and not feeling at ease for his words. But that just was Bakugo, he just was like that, he just needed to accept the behaviour of his best friend...right?
Midoriya stood still, lowering his head, a shadow over his eyes and shaking hands, Katsukis words repeating in his head. It shouldn't hurt him anymore, his words shouldn't make him feel like that anymore. After all he heard much worse in his life, he heard much worse from Bakugo already. Katsukis words shoudn't mean anything to him anymore, he was used to it, knew the feeling of hearing such things already, it was nothing new. So why, why did he still feel so weak and small infront if his childhood 'friend'?
Izuku knew that he was stronger than the blond, stronger, faster, smarter, nicer, Woudn't hesitant to step in to save a life, everything necessary for a hero. but he still felt hurt hearing such words and there was one other emotion, an emotion he hid away for everyones safety, since he didn't want to hurt any of his friends on accident. It was an emotion, where he was sure that he coudn't control it if it would leash out.
This particular emotion was anger.
Iida was the first person to speak again in the silent and since he was the class president his task was to stop any fight, verbally or physically. "Bakugo, don't treat your classmate like this, that is very inappropriate! And I'm sure that Midorya will be as great of a hero as we all we'll be in the future!", scolded Sonic 2.0 and cut the invisible air with his arm movements into pieces. He tried to keep a serious expression, which was hard since his greenhaired friend seemed really hurt by katsukis words this time and he wanted to comfort him.
Uraraka also stood up, found her place next to Deku and confronted the ash blonde boy. "Can't you just one time stop with your mean comments?!", she put her arms in her hips and stepped a bit closer, "Deku didn't even talk to you or anything, he did absolutely nothing!" Ochako almost yelled that out loud, so angry was she at the moment and her faces represented this perfectly. Soon enough she comforted the hurt green bean with a hug and still gave Bakugo angry glances.
She hated Bakugo so much and not just because he was always so mean to her Izuku, but still mainly because of that. Bakugo just was such an asshole all the time, thinking that he is the best and unbeatable, he was just so arrogant and annoying. If it wasn't for his absurdly strong quirk he probably would've been kicked out of UA or atleast have gotten a proper punishment already. If it wasn't for his Quirk he probably never would've gotten into UA.
But all the time she did nothing, neither did the teachers, probably because of Izuku. he always said that it was fine whenever bakugo was mean to him, he was fine with it. Deku didn't want anyone to do something against Bakugos behaviour towards him, so they never did, because he didn't want it, they did it for Izukus sake. They never knew how much of a mistake that was at that point.
The broccoli smiled a bit at the words of his friends and soon relaxed a bit, hoping to lose his anger, but it was still there, the anger and frustration was still there. Deku just wanted to leave, escape this horrible situation, he just wanted to go to the bathroom anyways, but then came Bakuhoe and needed to say something. I'm just gonna go, then it's going to be over. That's what Deku thought, that he could just leave and it would settle down. But as soon as he wanted to step out of the classroom, he stopped immediately again. Why? Easy!
Because Bakugo wasn't done talking.
"Come on, Deku is just jealous, don't defend him. This Idiot just can't accept that I get what I deserve, unlike him, who doesn't even deserve to be here at UA. I mean, how are you going to be a pro hero, if you're always breaking your bones and needing to be helped?"
The room fell silent once again, but this time it was worse. It was so silent, that you could hear the slow breath of the people in the classroom. Shocked faces and open mouths were everywhere and Bakugo still stood there proud like he just won a prize. He even looked like enjoyed their reactions (AN: Well I do), mainly Izukus. He wasn't acting anything like a hero in the moment. No, he seemed like a villain, a heartless, self concerned, evil and cruel human being.
Katsuki didn't notice that he went to far saying that, he didn't notice the anger that slowly rose from Deku, the anger he never knew even existed. Kirishima stood there speechless, he could only mutter a weak 'not manly' and nothing more. After Bakugo heard that, he considered that he may went to far by saying that, but it was already too late for him to take it back. The damage was already done and triggered a reaction from the greenhead. A reaction nobody expected, wanted or liked.
Midoriya had this one sentence, 'I get what I deserve' , from Bakugo always on his mind, could not stop thinking about it. Everyone beside him in the room thought about it too, but they thought different about it. They agreed with Bakugo at one part, namely that he was a strong hero and at some point did deserve it, but he was definitely wrong with the other part about the green bean. Izuku did deserve his place here, probably even more than Bakugo.
But Deku knew more, he knew that Katsuki was not just wrong with the second part, he was wrong with everything he said. First of Izuku wasn't jealous, he had no reason to be jealous of a mean bastard, he wasn't even a person to really become jealous. And the other parts... they couldn't be more wrong, were so false, so provocative towards Izuku. They angered him so much, he really had a hard time controlling his anger. And he was able to hold him, until he noticed that nobody seemed motivated to say anything to Bakugo about his words.
Everyone was silent.
The silence of his classmates just angered him more, let him slowly lose control the longer it was silent. Are they really agreeing to him?! He folded his hands to fists, knuckles turning white from the pressure, he no longer smiled but frowned and was more than just upset. He just couldn't stay still anymore, he couldn't stand Bakugos behaviour anymore, he couldn't stop his anger anymore. So he let go, he finally let out his long imprisoned emotion.
A growl was heard from him and all eyes landed on Deku, kinda shocked to hear something like that from him, from the normally friendly greenhead. Ochako was the first one to notice his look, Izukus eyes full of anger and disgust, his fists and shaking body. She wanted to lay her hand in his shoulder, to comfort him, to be there for him and get him to calm down, but she was too slow. Deku was too far gone already.
"Oh shut your mouth! You're the one who doesn't deserve any of this!"
The young heroes were speechless to say the least. They never ever expected to ever hear Deku talking like that or ever thought that he would stand up for himself. They of course hoped for it all the time, but they always thought he was too nice to do so. But what did he mean? Bakugo didn't deserve it? Why would he say that and why so suddenly? Maybe Bakugos words were the trigger.
The blonde explosion user was by far the most shocked one in the room. Mainly because he never saw the nerd this angered, never saw him with such a look. He knew Deku since they were kids and never ever had the broccoli such an expression on his faces or dared to say something like that. And what was that even supposed to mean, of course he did deserve to be here at UA, he was smart, strong, never let someone bring him down. He was perfect to be a hero, so why did the shitty nerd say that?
"If it wasn't for me you wouldn't even be here, you would be dead!", almost screamed Izuku and stomped on the ground, directly looking at his former childhood 'friend'. He wanted to punch him so badly, show him what pain he lived through, wanted him to suffer for all the things he did. Old memories flashed before his eyes, mainly middle school, which led to just more anger and a bigger urge to humiliate Bakugo infront of everyone.
"If I hadn't run to you when you were held hostage by this stupid slime villain, nobody would have!", a green glow emitted from Dekus eyes as he said that, he seemed ready to attak, "If I wouldn't have done that, Nobody would've came to held you. The civilians, heroes, everybody would've watched you suffocate and die infront of their eyes!" (AN: facts)
"And why? Because none of the pro heroes had a fitting Quirk and civilians aren't aloud to act, they would land in jail for helping in such situations. But I still did run to safe you, quirkless and with my backpack and hands as only weapon. I was running to save your ungrateful ass and you never once thanked me for that!" At the last sentence he became more loud, more aggressive, sounded more hurt. But the majority of people couldn't concentrate on that, his words, his epiphany was too shocking.
Again, again fell silence all over the classroom, an angry panting Izuku hovering infront of Bakugo. Nobody had any clue on what they should do or say, the heard all of this for the first time, they firstly needed to take in this heavy information. Most of them knew about the sludge villain accident and that Bakugo was the victim in this case, but according to the news all Might saved him. The News never even mentioned any boy running into the villain. But why would they lie?
And Quirkless? he couldn't have been Quirkless, he has a Quirk, one of the strongest in their class. So how was he- Right, he told them at the beginning of the year that his Quirk came late and 'cause of that he couldn't control it that much. But that his Quirk came that late, at the age of 14 or something like that, that was almost unbelievable. But that meant, that he lived practically all of his life quirkless. I wonder how it felt...
But still, the News wouldn't lie because a person was Quirkless, Quirkless people are not any different from people with a Quirk, there was absolutely no difference. And could it really be, that the heroes just stood there and did nothing? The Job of heroes was to save the people even if they needed to risk their life, it was their task as pro Hero. Just because their Quirk is not the right one for the situation doesn't mean that they couldn't do something. Deku apparently saved Bakugo on his own, without Quirk at that time and only his backpack as weapon and it worked.
Heroes were heroes, they wouldn't hesitate to save people, they would always come to help, they would never just stand and watch someone dying infront of their eyes, they wouldn't!
Right?...
maybe Izuku misunderstood something, surely! Maybe he suffered some small head damages and lost his memories of the accident. Or was what he said true and the news lied to the public? Because they knew Izuku and he was a honest person, he wouldn't lie to them. Bakugo was the only other person they could ask about the accident, but would he answer? "bakubro, is that true?", ask Eijiro with wide eyes, not knowing what answer he actually wanted to hear. Did he wanted to hear a 'no' and expose Deku as a liar or did he wanted to have the News and pro heroes standing there as the imposters?
But Bakugo stayed silent, he didn't answer, he couldn't. he was to focused on thinking about the words coming from Dekus mouth. he planed on never thinking about this accident again, about how weak he was at that time, he didn't want to be reminded how he couldn't even safe himself that time. he hated to need help and the situation was not better since the quirkless, weak Deku was the one to save his life. He hated himself for this. But Izuku was right, he probably would have died that day if it wasn't for the nerd. The innocent kid he always bullied was the one to save his life, his future as hero, his career.
Deku stared at Bakugo, getting ready for another bunch of hard words, truths and accusations towards Katsuki. He was far from finished, he had more, more anger to let go of, more anger to show how beautifully broken he was. In this moment he forgot about anybody else in the room, didn't care that they would hear all about his traumatic past. But it also seemed like the perfect time, the time that everybody would find about all of Bakugos crimes.
"Heck, if it wasn't for me not telling anything about middle school, you wouldn't be even at this school!", shouted Izuku and became louder with every sentence coming from his mouth, "You would be rotting in jail, suffering like a criminal! And again, I never heard a thank you from you! I literally saved your career and future as hero you don't deserve to be!"
What?!
What did he mean with jail and criminal?! Bakugo wasn't a criminal, never!
right?...
That's what most of the people thought, they didn't know WHAT to think about it though. First Bakugo could've possibly died if i wasn't for Izuku and he apparently comitted actual crimes?! They knew that he was mean and really not exactly the nicest person, but actual crimes? he would never do such things, he wanted to be a hero not a villain. And even if he did, which none of them could believe, why would Izuku keep it a secret? Was it to save him from the consequences?
But what did the ash blonde actually do to be deemed as criminal by Deku, what crimes did he commit? Izuku talked about jail, so it couldn't have been something lightly. And to end in jail that young just increases the weight of the said crimes, so what was it? They would've asked, but to be honest, they were a little scared, of Midoriya and the answer to their question. Like, did they really wanted to know what horrible crimes he committed?
Bakugo froze in place after he hearing that, wide-eyed and unable to say something, he could only stare at his childhood friend. Memories came flooding back, mainly middle school, and soon a shadow laid over his eyes. Was I really THAT bad? He stared furthermore at Deku and slowly realised and understood what his actions, in middle school, since the start of UA, heck since they we're 4 or something, have caused.
Thinking further just made it worse, soon he came to ideas on how his life could have been affected if Deku said something about his crimes. They wouldn't have let him into UA, strong Quirk or not, he would't have been deemed as hero material. he could've have a perfect written exam and an extreme high score at the practical, but still, they wouldn't let such an evil person into UA ... right? Izuku in the other hand was nice to anyone, always helped the ones in need, he was the perfect material for a hero.
But hey, does that matter now? He changed, he wasn't the same person like in middle school an before that anymore, he wasn't that bad anymore. What matters now was the present, not the past, right?
"What do you think would've happened if I followed your advice from that day?!", asked Izuku Bakugo, still full of anger and filled with the urge to beat Katsuki to a into a bleeding mass, "not only would you have lost your only real friend, but also you would've been deemed as murderer, as villain, as damn villain!" Deku didn't realise that one for all was slowly activating neither did Bakugo or any other of his classmates. But that just showed, that this confrontation wouldn't end with two reconciled friends.
This advice from Bakugo was the one big thing, which stuck with Izuku all the time. Everyday, day and night he had this particular sentence coming to his mind, it was hunting him. And of course he thought about, if he could actually follow it, what would happen if he would, how he would follow it and what for options he had, if anyone would care if he did follow the advice, overall very dangerous thoughts. He actually considered it, actually stood on the edge of the roof.
Well, he didn't succeeded...yet.
Now the people in the classroom were even more confused and shocked, like what was even going on anymore? Bakugo almost committed murder?! "Bakugo...Wh-what is h-he talking about?!", asked Momo and did a step towards the fighting boys. They heard so much already and now that?! What the hell? Bakugo needed to explain this or Izuku or anyone, they needed to know what that all means. Why did Katsuki almost committed murder, what was the advice abou-just what did happen between those two? Tokoyami had the feeling that something dark would come, but not even he expected so much darkness. Dark shadow even was too scared to even show his shady face.
"That c-can't be tr-true right?...right Bakubro..that can't be"
Background information, that was what they needed. Currently the young heroes just had a collection of more than shocking words: Murderer, villain and death. And those Words had a connection to Izuku and Katsuki, where Katsuki was the culprit and the broccoli the victim and saviour of him? Like, they all knew that those two are childhood friends, well were would fit more in this situation, but that was all.
"Deku I- what is he talking about?!"
But even this few words were to much for them to handle. They were able to handle, that if it wasn't for Izuku Katsuki would be dead. But that's mainly because Izuku saved many lives of people in this class, Ochako, Iida, Tsuyu and so on. It wasn't exactly something new for them, the only new thing was that the heroes were taking the glory for it, as if they were only thirsty for fame rather than saving people. NO- they shouldn't think about heroes like that. Again, it probably just was an misunderstanding. But even so, that wasn't the point.
The point was, that they couldn't think straight anymore, the smartest people in the class had problems in understanding the whole history behind these words and the two boys. Momo for one didn't even know if she should focus on trying to understand the problem or on Izuku himself. He was still angry, still seemed like he had more to say, he just wasn't finished. And none of them had any idea how to deal with an angry, loud and almost aggressive Izuku, they never saw him like that.
Especially Ochako had a hard time dealing with all of that, she was Dekus best friend after all. And she had a 'little' crush in him too, but that was not important in the moment. Important was that Deku wasn't himself, and she saw the pain in his eyes, the pain hidden between all the anger. And that because of something nobody knew about...nobody besides Bakugo. Bakugo...He started all of this, all of this is his fault! He was the bad guy in this story, the big villain behind all the problems.
And she began hating herself, hating herself for not noticing something or standing up to Katsuki sooner. Well she did try to stop Bakugo from being mean to Izuku, but she had a hard time against the blond hothead, she just didn't got far. And besides Iida trying to stop Bakugo in the position as class president, Aizawa shutting him up with his scarf, Todoroki stepping in now and then and Kirishima dragging Bakugo away, nothing more happened. And it seems like that that wasn't enough.
And something bad, something really bad, happened between Bakugo and Izuku, something Izuku never talked with any of them about. And that none of them stood up for him probably was the reason he kept quit. He just kept on bottling up his emotions, his anger, never got a chance to let it out. No wonder he was acting like that now, he just couldn't hold it in anymore, he finally had enough.
He snapped.
I'm so sorry Deku-kun! If I just would have noticed sooner...
Uraraka hated herself so much, she wasn't even the only one. They couldn't even apologize, Deku wasn't done talking, he wasn't done letting out his so long bottled up emotions, that was the least thing they could do for him right now. And besides that, it sounded like Bakugo really deserved it, deserved the hard and shocking words from his childhood friend.
Bakugo didn't answer, he couldn't even move anymore, was completly frozen, almost forgot to breathe for second. Me...a villain?...Murderer..? Of course he knew what Izuku talking about, he gave him this 'good advice' in the first place. He was mean to him 24/7, never sayed sorry or anything. Am I really a...villain? He always just brushed it of, especially at that day in middle school. He never thought about the consequences of his words, but he did one thing. He regretted saying it, he really did. He also wanted to forget it, forget the weird feeling he had because of them.
And it worked, after he saw Izuku the next day perfectly fine, with a smile he always wore, he just brushed it off, didn't saw it as important anymore, thought that Izuku was over it. He just didn't think any further about all of it, he forgot about it and he thought that Deku did too. Now he saw that it was probably the opposite. He never got over it, he just played as if he was fine, but in reality he was breaking apart slowly.
Katsuki began to experience an new emotion, atleast new if it was towards Izuku. Guilt. He actually felt guilty for what he did to the green bean, to his friend since childhood years. He never felt like that before, but now hearing all the pain he caused direct from the victim, it made him feel the guilt. He felt bad, frustrated, angry at himself and anything else suiting in this situation. And that wasn't even the worse.
He never ever once apologized to Izuku, neither did he thank him 'cause of the slime accident. He really just brushed it off, put it aside to never deal with it again, looked it up in the darkest place of his mind, buried it deep down there. And it would have stayed there, locked up, forgotten about, if it wasn't for him still being an asshole, still hurting his friend and now going to far.
The air in the classroom became unbearable, it was full of guilt, sadness, anger. Everybody just wanted it to end, to be finally over, they wanted to be free from this nightmare. The Dekusquad wanted their friend back, the always smiling, always friendly and always laughing Izuku they knew. The others felt the same, they couldn't stand seeing Midoriya like this, it just felt so wrong, it hurt. But it didn't end so soon as they hoped, it was the opposite. It just became worse and worse.
'Cause Izuku had still more, he was far from done with talking and showing Bakugo just how much he broke him, how much they broke him. He bottled up his emotions for more than 12 years, 12 fu*king years. Him snapping wouldn't just be him being angry and finally showing Bakugo his place, it would change him completely, erase the sweet little Izuku forever. He would never be the same after that day again, never. And depending on the reactions of the others, stepping in or just standing there shocked, it would end well or in a nightmare.
Deku took a breath and began speaking again, starting off with a short laugh, "The sad thing is that I considered it, considered following your advice." Bakugos eyes shot wide open and he stared at Izuku, but all he could see were empty eyes and red shading underneath them. The others still didn't know what the advice was, but it was something bad, something that would make Katsuki a murderer. So it couldn't be taken lightly. They kinda didn't even wanted to find out what it was, the possible answer scared them enough. But it was even worse than they imagined.
"No wait- I actually tried it! I tried to fucking kill myself because of you! I jumped off the roof just like you told me!" Deku screamed and took a step forward, stopping directly in front of Katsukis desk at the moment where he was done confessing his suicide attempt. he could clearly remember his attempt, how the air cooled down once he stepped on the roof, how the wind caressed his green locks, the view from the roof...
Tears slowly began to form in his eyes and his fists clenched tighter. It didn't took long before the first tear dropped on the wood before him and he continued his speech. "I even waved at you from the roof when you left the school grounds! But such an egoistic brat like you of course wouldn't lock back, thinking that the kid you bullied might follow your 'advice'!" Izuku hit the table in front of him while more tears found their way down his cheek. Why did he even cry, why did it hurt him so much, Why? Bakugo didn't deserve his tears, he deserved nothing but hate and pain, nothing more.
A faint laughed erupted from the bone breaking hero and he did a step back again. At the same time wide eyes stared at him and soon more people began to cry, understanding what that advice must have been. "Mi-Midoriya...", tried Todoroki but couldn't bring out a sentence before he sunk to his knees, not wanting to believe what he just heard. Ochako was the first one to sob and soon tears streamed down her face, barely being able to stand on her wobbly legs.
dark shadow hid behind his 'master', in order to hide from the dark truths coming out and searching comfort by Tokoyami. But he couldn't give him that, he needed it just as much as the shadow creature. And he wasn't the only one, everybody was crying or near their tears, everybody needed a shoulder to cry on. But nobody could or should focus on themselves, Izuku who seemed to only break further and further, laughing almost like he fled from an psychiatry, was still the center of attention.
But who could blame him? He was holding in those feelings more than 2 years, Katsuki even knew that it were about 12. It still shocked them, but thinking about it rationally, wouldn't anyone turn insane with such circumstances? Wouldn't everyone lose their mind someday living with such pain all the time, having to deal with so much problems and that all alone?
But the young heroes still needed someone, someone to help them up, tell them that everything will be fine, someone who will smile brightly, someone like Izuku . But he was the one making them all feel like that, he just told them the well most unbelievable thing they could ever hear. Dabi being a secret Todoroki would be more believable in their eyes than what they just heard. Like what the actual Fu*k?!
Izuku Midoriya, a real sunshine who would help everyone and everything, always wears a smile, never gets angry or violent, is always the most motivated of all and an always optimistic thinking boy... and he... out of all people...
he tried to commit suicide...
such a happy boy, at least that's what they thought.
And Bakugo was the one to told him that... it was the advice Izuku was talking about.
"This is a joke, please tell me this is a joke. because if it is, it isn't funny.", Denki begged and took a step towards Deku, hoping for his false hope to turn out to be true, but he wasn't dumb. he knew that he just not wanted to believe this, didn't want this to be true, the actual real life. His head hung low and his whole body trembled . That's how most of the people felt, for them it felt like a nightmare, a nightmare they hoped to be not real, but where they knew that it was.
Mina slowly walked up to him and entgulfed him in a tight hug, tears falling down and sobs escaping her pink lips. Soon Sero also found his way to the two and joined the hug. Ochako was getting comforted by Tsu and Todoroki just sat at the next wall, hugging his knees. Koda made himself small and hid his horrified face, Mineta was so terrified that he just hid under his table instead of grabbing Momos legs, Hagakure hid behind ojiros tail, hugging it tight and also sobbing quietly.
and Izuku watched his classmates in the corner of his eyes, but unlike normally where he would've immediately run up to them and comfort them.. but now... he felt nothing. He didn't feel bad or anything, all he felt was still the anger towards katsuki and it felt good. So that's the day where I finally turn insane... I thought it would never come. Izuku grabbed his jacket and janked it off, throwing it to the side. Ready to show the truth, the truth he hid away behind a smiling mask all along.
He always knew that this day would come and now it was here and he prepared for it.
Katsuki sat back on his chair, lowering his head, looking down on his desk to the spot where Dekus tears found their place. He actually...but that can't.. I would've- The Guilt was becoming unbearable, it was growing and growing, was becoming bigger and bigger. Tears were now filling his normally never crying eyes and he clenched his fists. And this is my fault... If it wasn't for him saying this words this wouldn't have happend. But how could he never knew about it, how could nobody knew about this?
The picture of Izuku standing on the top of the roof filled his head, the picture of a smiling and happily waving Izuku. And then the imaginary Izuku fell und blood splattert everywhere once he hit the ground. Everything was spinning in his stomache and he had the urge to throw up his breakfast. Soon everbody had this mental image in their head, one worse than the other, all different but quite the same. Ochako hold her stomach und looked up to Deku, one question coming up in her mind. A question not only she had.
'Cause if Deku really ...well jumped off the roof...
How was he still here? fully alive?
His attempt failed, that was the only logical explanation, someone caught him or something like that, yeah that must be the answer. A hero saved him, maybe All Might and that's why they were so often together? That made sense, that probably was it. All Might helped him, like the hero he was and always will be, he made him happy again, stopped him from trying anything else and that's why they often talk to eachother. All Might was just checking on his mental health.
right?
"unfortunately for me, I was saved, got caught right before I hit the ground.", said Izuku in between lightly crazed laughs and stared to the ground. "I couldn't even die right, I guess I'm really just useless! You were probably right, the teachers, neighbors, everyone was right. I'm just a Deku!" his laughing was mixed with tears and he stared down at his arms, brushing over his wrist and clenched his fist tigher. All that was for nothing..
The people in the classroom were relieved, they were glad that there assumption was correct. Well atleast Tha part, that he was indeed saved. But who saved him was still unknown to the young heroes, and this answer would be quite a twist in the story. Anyways- They were even more hurt to hear what else he said. He said that he wanted to die, he was sick and tired of his life and jumped off of the roof. And when he was saved, he wasn't happy about it, seemed mad about the fact that someone saved his life.
And the other thing, that everybody called him 'Deku', it stung. It was like that since that first heard the nickname from Bakugo, because they knew what it meant. Useless. But after Ochako changend the meaning to the opposite and the greenhead later on even chose it as his hero name, they didn't think about it anymore. They thought it was fine, that Izuku was fine with it. But now hearing that...that Izuku was bullied with this name all the time, even by teachers, which was quite shocking to say the least, it made them feel bad. Especially Uraraka felt now guilt swelling up.
She called him that all the time.
"Midor-", Iida tried to talk to Izuku and walked up to him, laying his hand an his shoulder, but the greenhead brushed him off quickly. More laughs, even crazier sounding ones than before, errupted and soon the boy held his hands to his head. "Overdosing didn't help me either, turns out I have a really strong body to survive so much pills!", he almost screamed and laughed, tears also fell down from his eyes, he was looking like he came straight out of a menatl hospital. he was turning crazy, after holding in his feelings for more than 12 years it was finally enough to make him lose his mind.
Overdosing?! The heroes were horrified after what they just heard, they felt sick again just thinking about it. He tried to kill himself not only once, he did it twice maybe even more times. And nobody ever knew, they just saw a happy broccoli and nothing more, nobody saw a suicidal kid. Tears kept coming out of Izukus eyes and also the others were crying, Hagakure, Koda, Tsuyu, Denki, Kirishima, Urarak- Everyone even Bakugo coudn't hold back his salty tears from what he heard about his childhodd friend.
"Neither cutting myself to the point of bleeding out!"
Deku slowly fell to his knees, stil holding his head and laughing crazy. He had so much to tell them, so much more to shock and traumatize them with. He didn't care for their well-being anymore, they also never really cared for his, so it was fine right?
"Or hanging myself"
The class could only listen to the terrifying words he said, they were to afraid and shocked to do anything else than that. They could only listen and watch the obvious traumatized boy sitting on the ground, hugging his knees and rocking from side to side. Even as heroes they weren't able to help the hurting boy.
"Or stabbing myself, it was useless! Fucking useless!"
They picture of Izuku laying in a pool of blood filled their heads again and the urge to puke came back. The body of their friend and classmate lying their, helpless, bleeding out, it was to much. It was just to much, the couldn't handle it anymore, they also broke down. They were so useless, not Izuku was the Deku, they were. Because how can you be a hero, if the one who needs the most help was right infront of their goddamn eyes?! How could they became any kind of heroes, if they couldn't even save their precious friend? How?!
It was an awful sight, if anyone would come in the room in such moment, they really wouldn't know how to explain this. heck they couldn't even really understand it fully themself. They were overwhelmed, they were done, at the end. Deku still was much worse, he was legit losing his mind, right infront of their crying eyes. Everything just seemed like a single nightmare, like a nightmare coming straight up from the satan himself. A nightmare as punishment for being such disgraces of future heroes.
"I'm just done.", said Deku in the crying silent and slowly stood up, a crayzed expression on his face and red eyes from the tears. "I'm done with Bakugo, this school, heroes, I'm so done with my life! I should just jump out of the window- ", he stopped when he noticed the tug on his arm, and the crying girl kneeing next to him on the ground. "But you would try and stop me from ending my suffering. Because you think you are heroes, you think you can help me but you can't, you couldn't even notice my pain!"
Ochako pulled him in a hug and clawed at his back, not wanting to let him go and possible jump out of the window. She cried and sobbed in his back, just pulled him even closer. The others were relieved and Bakugo, who was still on his chair not far from Izuku was also sliding next to the greenhaired boy. It was the least thing he could do to make up the things from middle school and everything else, the last thing he could do to prove that he wasn't just some mean bully in at a school for heroes. He wanted to save Izuku now, wanted to be his hero, the friend he should've been.
Deku froze when Bakugos arms slipped around him and stopped with every movement. Kac-katsuki is...is trying to- It was just sad that he was surprised to see that bakugo actually did care for him, somehow, and did not wanted to make fun of him. And it was even sadder that he couldn't belive him doing it. He wouldn't really care, he never did, so why now? He did not believe one thing, he didn't believed that anyone really cared for him. And even if they did care, it wouldn't have changed something, he still was suffering, turning crazy, losing the last bit of sanity he still had.
he still wanted to die.
And well, if jumping out of the window wasn't an option anymore, might aswell use the secret weapon. The last resort if his plan would fail, which was seemingly happening. he slowly lowered his arms and without anyone noticing he grabbed something underneath his shirt. They were to busy with crying to notice his small movements anyway. "It's going to be okay deku, we're going to get trough this, together!", said Ochako and slowly rose her head, bakugo did the same, also wanting to say something . "I may was a monster before, but I wil definitl-"
He didn't came further, since Izuku interrupted him, slowly rising his hand with the 'secret weapon'. "You should have said that before Katsuki, than maybe your attempt to save me woudn't be to late.", said izuku with a wide smile, emotionless eyes and no more tears. He looked so broken at that moment, so dead inside, so... hurt. The students wanted to ask what he meant, since nobody understood why they were to late, he was still sitting there afterall, alive. But just as Bakugo was about to ask...it happend.
A shot rang out.
...
..
.
.
.
"... Dek...u...", said Uraraka as she stared at her greenhaired friend. The gun still in his hand, his hands trembling and again this angry-crazy look in his face. He gritted his teeth, slowly let his arm fell until the gun hit the ground, and made an dull noise in the process, and the boy stared at his savior. He didn't wanted to believe it, wished he didn't came again to save him. Bakugo, tear stained eyes and trembling with panic, also stared at the 'hero' infront of them and he wasn't alone. Everbody did stare and nobody could belive it, nobody besides Izuku of course.
There was a purple-black portal at the open end of the gun. Which also opened at the next wall again in which now the bullet stuck.
"I thought you wouldn't try something like this anymore. That really was a close call this time Izuku.", came a resounding and dark, but smoothing voice and a person stepped into the room. The students had wide eyes and weren't able to take their eyes off of the human(?) being. Out of everyone who could potentially have saved izuku in the last moment, may it be Aizawa, All Might or any other teacher or human, It was him. He, ironically he came to save Izuku in the last moment. And they all had the same questions.
Why him?
Because Izukus savior was none other than Kurogiri.
A villain.
The villain ignored the confused and highly alarmed students for the start, Izuku was his priority and the reason he came here in the first place. How he knew that Izuku would try something like that again? An understandable question, since the gun came without warning, nobody even knew that the cinnaminroll had one in the first place. So to answer the question, let's just say that Kurogiris mothersences kicked in and he knew instantly that Izuku was the cause.
Izuku was also the only kid he really cared about like this. Why that is we'll be explained soon enough, so let's get going with the story.
"What the hell...?", murmured Bakugo and tightend his grip on Izuku, holding him closer to him, as he saw the misty figure walking towards them. Ochako shuddered and unlike Bakugo she lost her grip on the suicidal broccoli. She stumbled backwards a bit and wasn't able to say something. But nobody really was, the new situation and knowlegde was to odd and shocking. Izuku tried to shoot himself right infront of them, he just pulled out a gun somewhere and shot. He wanted to kill himself right infront if them, that alone was to much handle.
And then Kurogiri, a villain from the infamous league of villains, saved him just in the right moment. If it wasn't for the purple mist just coming out of nowhere and reacting to the bullet, their friend would've been hit. If Kurogiri didn't came and used his quirk, the only thing left of Izuku would have been a dead body in a puddle of blood. Izuku was really saved by a wanted criminal, a potenial murderer. And they, future heroes, could only watch their friend dying.
Maybe what Izuku said about the slime villain accident, how the heroes were doing absolutly nothing and just watched Bakugo get killed and then later on took the glory for Dekus work, maybe it was true. Maybe heroes wer just fame seekin- No we shouldn't think like that, it was surley just an exception.
"Why can't I just die in peace?", asked Izuku and looked up to the warp villain, laughing again and shaking, "Why do you- why do you always stop me!? I just want to die, is that to much to ask?!" Tears started to fall again and more crazy laughter errupted from the greenbean and he swung his arms around his legs, freeing himself from Katsukis grip in the process. I just want to finally end my suffering, nothing more! He cried, cried and laughed, just like a mentally ill boy probably would after everything that happend. And to the surprise of everyone, besides Deku, Kurogiri hugged the boy-
He engulfed him in a hug, looking sadly but also glad at the luckily still alive boy.
The young heroes didn't understand, couldn't move, didn't dare to move. Why was the villain hugging him, why did he save Deku in the first place? Shouldn't he do the opposite as villain? And why the hell was Midoriya doing nothing, why was he letting Kurogiri do that? He should be scared- Wait did he-what did he say? he adressed only Kurogiri when he complained that he got saved, does that mean that...that he saved him before too?
Deku never said who saved him when he jumped off of the roof...
or when he hung himself...
or when he rammed the knife in his stomach...
Thinking about it made them sick, seeing that there was a high chance that a villain saved him all the time made them sick, this whole morning made them sick. They didn't understand what was even happening, maybe they were dreaming afterall or it was some sort of hallucination? Their thoughts were interrupted when the misty villain spoke again, speaking surprisingly soft and calming with the greenhaired boy while hugging him. It was kinda wholesome, and in this moment he didn't look like a villain at all.
"People care about you, that's why.", started the living transporter and gently rubbed the smaller boys back, calming him down slowly, "Me, your Mother, your friends and teachers. We all are here for you." Now katsuki backed away too, understanding that Izuku was actually safe, that the villain was really helping. Nerd...Why were you hiding all this? He still felt guilt, the full programm, it was an awful feeling. He wished that Izuku would have talked sooner about this and not to a villain, even thought they should be thankful for that and all of Kurogiris savings. Deku wouldn't have been here of he didn't do so, he was a hero.
Deku leaned in closer to , slowly letting go of his knees and hugging back the villain. He missed the warmth of Mamagiri, as he and other close friend called him, and his smoothing voice. That was all he need to calm down, all he needed to finally be able to rest and find peace, even if it was just for a moment. Because the shot was heard outside, it was too loud to be not heard. But before pro heroes and teachers would storm the room, he enjoyed the hug and cried all of his tears out.
How ironical! The villain came to save the hero. Again.
His classmate just stood there, some still sat on the floor or next to the wall, but they all shared the same picture. Deku being comforted by none other than Kurogiri, their enemy. As heroes they normally should arrest him immediately, bring him to jail, stop him from committing more crimes. But in that moment they just couldn't, he didn't deserve any bad treatment. And they were no real heroes anyways, since they couldn't even save a suicidal kid if it was right infront of them. Kurogiri was way better at this.
That was sad but true. He was the real hero.
But the wholesome, calm moment didn't hold long. Soon Eraserhead and other pro heroes stormed in the room, ready to attack the villain they thought they would see. Shota was the first to speak and looked around, "we heard a gunshot is everyth- problem child!?" as soon as he saw Kurogiri holding izuku he activated his capture scarf and grabbed the broccoli. Saving his problem children was his first priority, now and always would be. And nothing could come in his way to do so.
But he didn't know that the momentarily situation would just worsening with his and the other pro heroes reaction.
"villain! Surrender, we have the upper hand!", called Nemuri and stepped infront of the crouching villain, present mic and snipe accompanied her. Snipe aimed a gun at the heroic villain as soon as Aizawa got a hold of Deku and signed the students to stay back. He wasn't afraid to shoot, even if there were children in the room. Besides that, Kurogiris body mostly was just mist, so no blood would be shed. Probably.
As Eraserhead had Izuku in his arms he firstly saw him. His red eyes, tearstainend and panicked looking around and looking over to his villainous savior. At first Aizawa thought that izuku was scared of Kurogiri or what he did to him, so of course he tried to calm him down.
"problem child! Your save now, calm down!", he said and gripped the youngers shoulders, shaking him lightly to gain attention,"everything's ok, he can't hurt you anymore. H-" he stopped talking as soon as he saw what the villain was doing.
His colleges were shocked too at his reaction. The pro heroes didn't understand why he was doing this, he should have acted way different. And izuku was still in his grip, but his trys to calm him down ended with the opposite, especially when his eyes fell to the villain. The purple-black human stood up slowly, arms raised in an surrending manner, he seemed to smile, which was quite hard to see since he didn't exactly had a mouth, but he still smiled. Why would he...
Izuku struggled in his teachers arms and tears came streaming down his face again. He didn't wanted this, never wanted such fate for kurogiri. He just wanted to die and finally leave everything behind, but he couldn't if Kurogiri would suffer because of his actions. The villain was like a parent for him, like a second mother- a father figure. He couldn't let him get arrested or worse, he rather stopped trying to die than that.
"wha- no fight?", ask midnight curious and signalled snipe to put the gun down, but he did that also without her signal. Mic scratched his head and looked confused at the warp gate villain, he did not expect to win without a fight, normally there is always one. Was it because he was outnumbered and he knew that he wouldn't win? Or maybe he planned something, wanted to trick them or something like that. Aizawa was also surprised and confused, but soon looked with mistrust at him. He couldn't believe that he would do nothing and just surrender like that.
Kurogiri said nothing, he just accepted his fate. He risked getting caught coming to UA, but he didn't care as long as Izuku was safe. He just simply nodded at midnights words and looked over to izuku, since there was one compromise he had. Because if he would be in jail, then his litle protege would speak to nobody about his problems and feelings. And soon he would be back at in his middle school status, secretive, excluding, self-harming... and probably even more suicidal. And that was the last thing he wished for the broccoli, dead, especially not by himself. So he wanted something from the pro heroes, had a last wish to be fulfilled.
"as long as Izuku is out of trouble for my actions and gets the professional help he needs, I'm fine with every punishment."
The room felt silent and everbody looked with wide eyes at the warp villain, The studenst were not even that shocked about it, mainly because they knew what professional help he was talking about. The teachers were mostly shocked because of one thing, namley that Kurogiri cared about Midoriya, he really cared and was worried. And the other thing, professional help? As far as they knew Izuku was completly fine, he was a literal sunshine. And even if Izuku had some problems, why would Kurogiri out of all people care about it, why him?
Shota felt weird hearing that from the villain, how he frased and said it. He sounded so sincere and pleading, as if Izukus well-being was his first priority. And looking down on the crying boy infront of him, shaking and staring at the purple(mist)guy, he seemed not scared of him. Deku was more looking like a worried child for his parent, brother or similar. What the fu*k is going on here? And he also didn't understand what the request of the villain meant. Why would problem child need professional help? Yeah, he often broke his bones and had some pretty hard fights, but nothing more. And those things would be great experience for his future as hero. But that couldn't be the problems Kurogiri was refering to.
He needed answers, now.
"Ok- what the hell even happend?! there was a gun shot!", ask/commanded Aizawa and wrapped Izuku tigher in the capture scarf, seeing as he wanted to escape and probably do something dumb. Izuku was a problem for later, what now mattered was to find out what happend and why and then possibly stop more chaos from spreading. His eyes darted around, watching out for someone who would explain the situation, his colleagues did the same. Snipe was the first to notice the gun on the ground and quickly lifted it up, so no one could get possibly hurt by it.
"May I-", ask Kurogiri with a sight, but quickly got a no from Present mic. "The students should explain, from them we know for sure that they won't lie to us.", explained the always screaming blond and folded his arms. he was still a villain after all, they couldn't trust them that easily, they shouldn't trust villains from the start. The teenagers held their head down after hearing their english teacher say that. Especially Deku was growing angry after this accusation, but he knew better than to realese it right away. For the moment he just stayed in Aizawas grip and said nothing, even though he had still tears falling and a shaking body.
"It..I..Deku...", tried Uraraka, but really only tried. She wasn't able to explain anything, it was still to much for her to handle. That's how many of her classmates felt and why the teachers got no answer. They would have loved to let Kurogiri explain, he had no reason to lie about the accident(s), atleast when it was about the part where he came. What happend before that was still something they needed to explain, even thought it was more than just difficult in the momentary situation. Iida tried to open his mouth, but he also got nothing out, he just didn't knew how to explain the shock they experienced.
Aizawa sighed, must have been something quite hard to deal with, so he ask about the events, hoping to get single answers to put them together at the end. Just like a puzzle, this whole incident was a puzzle they needed to solve. And the answers from the students and maybe also the villain where the pieces. "Ok- who even shot with the gun? was it him?", he ask and pointed to Kurogiri, who silently stood there and now and then glanced to Izuku, checking up on his status. He couldn't let him lose control of his emotions again.
The students exchanged looks, looks full of guilt and insecurity, they didn't know how to answer. Well more if they really wanted to answer. Izuku just looked down, feeling no such thing as guilt but dissatisfaction, because if his attempt didn't fail he would be finally dead and this mess woudn't be. Maybe if he acted faster it would have worked? probably, but that was something he couldn't change now, the mess was already made. Bakugo was by far the worse when it came to the look full of guilt, he was the originally start of the whole problem. If he helped Deku in his childhood and wouldn't have started to bully him, then Izuku never would've felt like that, felt the need to die.
So yeah, it was silent again. And Aizawa was slowly getting pissed at this. Snipe, midnight and Present mic were also slowly becoming impatience. The studenst got attaked by a villain, who should have been in tartarus may they ad, and nobody could tell them what exactly happend. It really was stressing and annoying, but as pissed as Aizawa was nobody of them. Since Kurogiri made no move to fight back or similar, they were a bit more chill in the situation. But still, they wanted and really needed the answers, needed to know what happend. And then finally a student spoke up and cleared the silent.
"it was me, that's my gun and I was the one to shoot."
They immediatley froze when none other than Izuku Midoriya said that, keeping a straight but still tearstrained face. Were they hearing right? Izuku was the holder of the gun, he shot the bullet? Aizawa lost his grip a bit from the shock, letting Izuku move a bit more freely. Problem child did-wha- The pro heroes soon glaced at the greenhaired boy, unable to believe what they just heard. To even think that 'All mights kid' even had a gun in the firts place was...disturbing kind of. He was such a sunshine, such an angel with a big heart and the brightest smiles, why would he ever had a-
"I aimed it at myself, I wanted to finally kill myself, ok!?", shouted Izuku and looked up, meeting the pro heroes gaze, "I just had enough of the pathetic life of mine, Kurogiri is innocent!" Maybe it was the impatience that made Deku shout like that, maybe it was the silent he absolutly hated or the hesitating of his classmates. But it also could have been the digust, the digust he felt when his teachers immediatley blamed his savior just because he was a villain. May i was a mixture off all or just one or two things that made him scream out like that, but that didn't matter anyway.
Aizawa lost his breath as he heard that from his number one problem child, so were the other teachers. The students just lowered their head, saying nothing. They heard it before, were there when he shot, saw it with their own eyes, so it wasn't as shocking to hear as it was for the teachers. They just heard a gunshot from this direction and immediately came to safe the kids and then they saw kurogiri. Of course they thought he was the one to shoot, even thought he didn't seem like a villain that uses guns, but still. He as the villain was the main culprit.
And now they heard that izuku was the owner of the weapon and that he tried to kill himself, the seemingly happiest child at UA wanted to commit suicide. Tears soon found their place under shotas eyes, and he wasn't able to do anything but stare at izuku in his grip. Problem child... Why would you..why!? He didn't even noticed that he cried, he didn't notice that he lost the tigh grip of his scarf. He did never noticed the suffering of one of his students who now tried to end it all.
The thing about aizawa is, that most people just assumed that he his a person who simply did not care about others, a teacher who gave a shit about his class. But it was actually the opposite, he was probably one of the most caring persons out there. Yeah, when it came to teaching the students and make sure that they're doing fine with the schoolwork, then he was a bit careless. But when it came to their health and well-being he was acting like a overprotective parent. His Nickname is dadzawa for a reason.
And now hearing that, it really hit him hard, right in the caring heart of his. Tears kept flowing and a shadow found its place over his eyes. Was the bright smile he always wore a fake smile? The determination to become stronger, to be the next big hero, was it just a way for him to avoid his pain and let people think that he is fine? Izuku was really the last person he would have expected to be that ill mentally that he wanted to kill himself. He was his number one problem child, but that was really just... To much, even for him.
"After 12 years I just really had enough of bakugo and all the bullying, and not to mention the fact that everbody just tolerates it and does absolutly nothing! ", Izuku started to laugh again, sinking down a bit and not looking up to anyone in the room, "It's hilarious, really!" Deku did hold on for such a long time, He was surprised by himself for that, surprised and dissapointed that he survived so long in this hell he called life. But then again, he prbably would be dead already if it wasn't for Kurogiri or his mom.
"but maybe i'm the one to blame, maybe i'm just to good at hiding my problems?", Deku talked again, it sounded more like he was talking to himself at this point, but he surley meant for the others to hear it, "Make up can really well cover up cuts and eye bags and after such a long time cleaning up blood seems like a routine done in a few minutes. I'm surprised nobody found my pills yet, or the rope that's laying on top of the lamp, already tied to it and ready to be used!" The more Izuku said, the more laughs errupted from him and again, tears were forming. Surprisingly he still had some left to cry.
The Pro heroes were frozen, as well as the other students, 'cause that's also new to them. It wasn't much of a surprise as some started to cry again, who couldn't be hurt by hearing such words? And not the mention the mental images that now formed in their heads and showed no sign of ever leaving again. And to think that that all was just infront of their eyes, within reach, silently asking for help, for people to come to the rescue. But nobody ever came, nobody saw it, their all were blinded by a picture perfect smile and lies the boy told them.
Kurogiri looked down, crying on the inside, since he was just a mist being he couldn't produce any real tears. He knew about the cuts and the self harm in form of not eating. He knew about the razor blades and pills, hidden behind posters in the wall or in a looked chest under the bed. he knew that the boy spend most of his money for bleach and similar stuff, to get the blood out, and painkillers or sleeping pills. he even knew about the few alkohol bottles, all emptied and hidden in his closet in the darkest corner, waiting to be thrown away when nobody would notice. He knew about it all.
And no, he didn't let those things stay , he didn't just accept them and let the depressed boy just use it as he wanted. He always checked Izukus room and found most of the stuff, throwing it away immediatley. But over the time it got harder, Izuku was getting smarter with his hiding places and soon Kurogiri couldn't find much anymore, even thought he knew that it was there. And it even got worse when Izuku moved to the dorms. He and Inko were highly against it, but Izuku got All might to help him convincing his mom. of course the greenhaired gave All might different reason why his mom was against it, he didn't want him to find out, but in the end it worked. Anyways, since UA has a pretty high secrurity getting in without getting noticed was impossible.
And well...then he was arrested at the Kamino ward battle and couldn't check after the boy again. It was only luck he got out to save him this time, since a blackout occured at tartarus and before they could activate the emergency power he used the chance to escape. But that's a stoty for another time anyway. The most important now was to help his little protege.
Shota was the first one to hug Izuku after he could move again and pulled him close. His eys fell to Kurogiri as he let the boy laugh and cry in his chest. He saw his look and soon started to think more about the villains participation in these events, seeing as Izuku deemend him as innocent. Did he knew about Midoriya?...was that the reason he came, howsoever he escaped from tartarus, did he came to save his problem child?...
Midnight and Present mic also soon understood, that the villain may was the heroe in this case. But why would he ever save a hero, an UA student to be exact? he attacked so often with the league in order to destroy this place and the hero society, so why would he do such thing. Snipe put away his gun and looked at the villain infront of him. "Shoul-Should we-I escort him a-away or?", he stuttered, feeling really uncomfortable and hurt by this scene. But someone needed to change it somehow and he still was a villain who should be in prison right now...
As soon as Snipe ask that the room aizawa grew stiff, he knew that the question would've come soon and yeah, Snipe was absolutly right about that. But the reason he froze was something else, it was Izuku. As soon as Snipes words left his mouth izuku froze and stopped sobbing, it just was turned off like with a robot. And soon the boy jumped out of his grip, with an clearly not happy look on his freckled face. "Problem child wha-", wanted Aizawa to stop him, but the kid was to fast for everyone. Not Midnight could get a grip of the kid in time, neither could anyone else and so a new situation was created.
The green head stood there, gun stolen from Snipe and ready to shot. He aimed at around, swinging from the gun user to Aizawa, over to Midnight and Present Mic and one round over the Students and in the end put it under his chin. He was ready to end his life for the sake of a villain, a villain that was his savior, his hero. "Don't even think about it! Touch him one time and i'm going to shoot!", he shouted and moved back, looking closley if someone was creeping up on him to snatch the gun or him away, "I'm not afraid to do so!" Yeah, he really wasn't. The fact that he shot before already, and luckily got saved, proved that.
Shota stood still, with an out stretched arm towards Izuku but out of reach to get a hold of the kids arm. Everbody froze at the sight and could do nothing but stare at the greenbean. Firstly, did they never expected to see a hero student standing up for a villain and secondly, it was izuku threatening to shoot himself again. Again he held a gun against himself, only now to be witnessed not only by the students but also the teachers and Kurogiri. It was a terrific scene to witness.
And what were they supposed to do now, arresting Kurogiri for escaping tartarus wasn't an option anymore, izuku would shoot immediately. But they couldn't let the villain escape either, he was indeed dangerous and with the league together they always had a hard time. But speaking out of experience, running to Midoriya and try to take the gun away from him, would end the same way. It would end with izukus death, his suicide. So there was only one way to solve this problem. keep calm and talk the kid out of doing something stupid.
Shota looked over to the villain, he hid stress and distress behind the shock and stared at the child he saved. The blackhaired knew, that the villain may was the solution to get through to Izuku since he seemed to know exactly what was wrong with him, unlike everybody else he knew that Izuku was never fine. Aizawa had a lot of questions for the living warp gate, but they could wait, saving Izuku was more importent right now. The lazy teacher sighed and got the attention of Kurogiri and others, but the villain was his target.
The students were still shaking from the events and many were looking away, afraid to see their friend may shoot and die. They could only hope their teachers would help Izuku and stop him, but they were pro heroes right? They should be able to save their classmate, take the gun from him, comfort him and find a soulution. Because the students couldn't do anything, all the events were too much for them, even for Tokoyami who normally would enjoy the darkness of the scene. But even for the egdelord number one it was too much, but they were only kids anyways, they shouldn't live through such events at such a young age.
Kurogiri understood Aizawas signal and he was glad the pro hero let him help his little broccoli. He then looked towards Izuku again and slowly made a step forwards, getting the boys attention and also of the others. Everybody understood quickly, that the villain may was the only one who could help the greenhaired kid now, that he was the only hero right now. And letting him see the boy now maybe were the last moments he had with him, since Kurogiri was still a villain and should be in tartarus right now...he was still a criminal and the job of heroes is to catch those.
they really needed to take him away afterwards, so might aswell let him enjoy the last moments...
"Put the gun down, Izuku please...", said Kurogiri softly and stepped closer to his little protege, "It's okay, i'm fine as you can see, so there is no need to shoot again." Deku trembled, was still shaking and holding the weapon against his chin, his eyes full of panic and fear, fear that they would take him away. slowly tears found their way to his emerald green eyes again and as soon as the villain stood infront of him, he let the gun fall to the ground and wraped his arms around the misty, but still existing and solid, body. Letting all his guard down and all his emotions out again.
"shhhh, it's gonna be okay, I'm here.", more comforting words came from the villain as he pushed the boy closer to him, glad that Izuku was stil alive, glad that he finally could hug the boy after such long time again. His time in taratrus was really killng him. It was killing him that he couldn't look after Izuku, couldn't make sure that he wasn't trying anything, making sure that he wasn't at his breaking point again. he missed his hugs, his sweet voice and his smiles when they ate lunch together.
May people call him crazy for that, but the broccoli hero was like a son to him, the son he never had in thirty years of his life. In the league he had the nickname mamagiri, but for this boy he was probably more of a father than a mother, so might aswell call him Papagiri instead. Especially since the real father of the greenhead couldn't be there for him, but there was nothing they could've done to change that, fate was truly cruel when it came to death.
"I-I don-don't want them t-to take you away! I don't want to lose the only person that understands me!", cried Izuku and hugged the villain tigher, crying in his chest, not wanting to let ever go again. Izuku suffered enough after he heard that Kurogiri got captured at the Kamino accident, you think he cried because of All mights words? Well screw that, he lost tears since he saw on the screen that they got Kurogiri in handcuffs, leading him to a prisoner transporter. That was the moment Izuku thought he lost his hero and fatherfigure.
Even a week after the incident he still cried all night, scratching open his cuts and adding more, he did't slept much at those times and little doses of coffee or alkohol kept him awake to go to school. He Was simply a mess after that. His mom was the only other person that knew about his endless suffering, but he lied to her that he was fine, well as fine as he could be, and that he was fine at the dorms. he didn't wanted to bother his mom even more with his problems, which made inko also sleepless and cry all the time. So yeah, he wasn't ready to lose him again, he reached his breaking point already and sure as hell would hang himself if Kurogiri would need to go to taratarus again, especially since the second time it would be his fault.
Kurogiri was the last person who deserved to be in prison.
The others were quite hurt to see this. It was heartbreaking to watch and many had tears in their eyes. Izuku sounded so hurt, so broken and the only person who always was there for him in his hard times was a villain, a villain they needed to take away from him. To say it harshly, it was their job to take this small familiy apart and seperate them, take them away from each other. Midnight looked down, hiding her watery eyes and turned away from the scene. She was an emotional person, so seenig such heartbreaking and saddenig picture... she couldn't take it.
Present Mic also lowered his head and Snipe slowly and quietly left the room, nobody needed to see him cry because of a villain. Aizawa stared at the hugging duo and the thought of locking away kurogiri seemed like a crime. His problem child was crying, shaking and wanted nothing more than to be able to stay with his villainous hero and not having him took away again, he felt save with the 'criminal', safer than he felt within his class, his teachers, even safer as with All Might. How could they ever seperate those two? It was obvious that both needed each other to live further.
The future heroes were shocked, were crying, some just sat in the ground and were to hurt to stand up again. Seeing their dear classmate like this, in the hold of a villain were he felt safe and were he wanted to stay and cry all of his pain out, their heart broke apart at the sight. Ochako loved the boy dearly, so seeing him made her feel so awful. If I just would've noticed his pain, than that may never would have happened, then maybe Deku wouldn't hurt this much! It all felt like it was her fault, her fault that the boy never was able to talk to someone. She hated herself more than every villain she ever met at that moment.
Bakugo was much worse that the brownhaired girl. Why, you ask? because he knew it was all his fault. he was the one who first turned his back on Izuku when they were kids, he was the one to started calling him deku, useless and worthless. He was the one who started to bully him and hurt him with no reason, he was the reason his childhood friend felt the need to die. I'm really a monster...I'm so sorry Izuku, so f*cking sorry!
All of his past actions flew across his eyes and the more he saw, the more tears streamed down his face. Kirishima noticed this of course and took the boy in his arms, hugging him gentle while also crying a waterfall. The redhead didn't feel any better then his blond best friend, seeing that Izuku was always there for him when he felt down, always cheered him up with one of his smiles, even if they were nothing but fake. And he was never there for his buddy, he always thought he was fine just because he smiled troughout the day.
to say the least, everybody in class 1-A thought that. But that was said before already. Heroes were there to save poeples lives, make them smile again and help them if they suffer. And they were no heroes, they were to carefree to see behind those fake smiles of the depressed greenhead, they were to ignorant to ever notice his suffering. So yeah, they were no heroes and this picture of Izuku being comforted by a wanted villain just made it clear. They were the real monster here.
Kurogiri looked up to midnight while still stroking the boys hair to comfort him more. "How about you sleep for a bit, you really need the rest right now..", said the villain as nemuri understood what he wanted. Unnoticed she walked up to Izuku and as soon as Kurogiri said those words her Quirks activated. Izuku not even got the chance to look up again before he fell asleep and limp against his heros chest.

The next time Izuku awoke from his slumber he was lying in the hospital bed in a hospital room. He blinked a few times and slowly looked around, still needing to figure out what was even going on. The greenhead held up his arms and noticed the numerous machines connected to him and the various flower bouquets on the table next to his beloved bed."Wh-what happend?", ask the greenbean to himself and sat up, careful with the wires attached to him, and searched for a source of informations on what exactly happened. luckily he found his phone charging up, but it as way to far away for him to reach.
he sighed and looked over his body once more, maybe he got injured or something, that would explain why he was at the hospital. Deku soon found all the bandages wrapped around both of his arms and legs, also the patch on his shoulder didn't come unnoticed to him. He gripped onto the blanket and a stressed look found it's way to his face. The bandages were alle wrapped around the scars he hid all the time, even the burnmark at his schoulder was found. Did they found out about him, his problems?
He thought again, searching his brain for any memories of the last few hours, but nothing. All he found was a darkness, seemingly endless darkness with him standing in the middle of it. Then slowly, bit by bit pictures appeared in the emptiness and cleared the dark walls around him. First there were Pctures of his classroom, his clasmates showed up, waving and smiling at him before they began to talk. He smiled in the memorie, but of course Izuku saw that it was fake, he faked all of his smiles since he was 11 anyways.
More pictures and scences soon found their place and the greenhead looked around, looking for the answer to his question about his current situation in the hospital bed. And then finally it showed something, a new scene including Bakugo, a mean look coming from him and soon a laugh was heard. It was the same laugh he always had when he made fun of Izuku and even the look, a look full of pleasure as he saw the hurting boy.
And that was the point were Izuku finally remembered what happended, what brought him into the hospital, what gave him the bandages and care, why his phone was so far away from him. He remembered all the events, the tears that were shed, the words that were spoken, the people that hugged him, the gun held to his head, the black-purple portal that stopped the bullet, the villain that saved him, how the Adults crashed into the room and took him away from his savior and the last words Kurogiri said to him.
He was silent for a moment before he broke down, head in his hands and tears leaking from his still puffy and red eyes. To think that he still had any tears left after all the events. They found out, everbody knows now, it's over for me! Izuku never wanted for anyone else besides his Mother and Kurogiri to find out about his problems, he never wanted that and did everything in his power to let it stay a secret. But now it was over and his secret wasn't a secret anymore, his friends knew, his teachers, All Might probably was told about it.
Izuku cried longer, until he heard a knock on the door and looked up, wiping away his tears in the process. That probably was Aizawa, ready to question him on the events and his state. And no, Izuku didn't want that, he just wanted to disappear, escape this situation as fast as possible. And that's when he started to look around for something sharp he could cut his throat with, or maybe something like a rope to strangle himself. maybe there were some pills in one of the drawers of the nightstand.
But he could't even start his search since the door opened and aizawa walked in, just like he expected. "don't even think about it, there is nothing you could potenially kill yourself with. I personally took care of that matter.", said the teacher and walked closer to his student, sighing in the process. His eyes were on the greenhaired kid all the time and didn't leave him, he could't afford to let the kid out of his sight anymore. Not after everything that happened, everything they found out about him.
he even saw it with his own eyes. All the cuts on his body, the burnmarks, the pale skin and eyebags hid unter a heavy amount of make up and his extremly thin body covered with layers of clothes. And that was just his body, soon they looked around in his dorm room and after a long and deep search they found what was expected to be found, but also way more than that. There weren't only hidden raizors, bloody and often used, like they thought. They found hidden pills, painkillers and sleeping pills, most of them were emptied and even more were still full. They found the rope on top of the lamp and the alcohol bottles in his wardrobe. And his little bathroom had visible traces of cleaned blood everywhere. It was a horrifyng sight for the teachers. So horrifying, that they immediatly looked the door so none of the other students could go in.
The blackhaired teacher loked over the boys face and clearly saw that he cried again, probably because his secret was found out and well... he was with the police right now, ready to be taken back to his place in prison again. Shota still felt unsure how he should feel about the whole realationship between his student and the villain he called his enemy. But that didn't matter right now, he needed to be there for his student-his child now. He wasn't there for him before, but now he would never leave him alone and in the dark again.
Izuku looked down as soon as he saw his teacher step in, he felt ashamed, wanted to scream and just run away, but he knew that Aizawa would just catch him. He didn't even had enough strenght to use his Quirk and make a run for it, he was just weak as to right now. He waited for the question, the question why he did it, why he never told anyone, but it never came. To his surprise the tired Hero just hugged him, without a word or question before that. As the strong arms were wrapped around his body, he couldn't help but to cry again, probably the hundredth time that day.
After a few minutes he finally spoke and looked Izuku right in the face. "Look, I'm not asking for your reason just now, I don't want to force it out of you. But you can't keep quiet about it forever, OK?" he spoked softly and with no intend to use force to get answers out of the greenhaired boy. He knew better than to put the kid under more pressure than he already was in and possibly make it worse. Right now the only Thing that Izuku needed was the feeling of not being alone in this hard time and that's all. Questions could wait.
"Your Mother would like to see you? Is that Ok?", was the only question Aizawa ask as he stood in the door frame, ready to leave his Problem Child. And as soon as he saw a small nod he left, only for Inko to storm in the room, tearstained face that soon came back to crying as she saw her beloved son awake. The door closed to give the small family some privacy and enough time to talk without unwanted guests. And yes, there was indeed a lot to talk about, after all Izuku wasn't the only one who had Problems in his family.
Aizawa sighed again as he walked away, he didn't notice but his eyes felt wet again. It's just the state he saw Izuku in, he looked so hurt, his normaly bright eyes were dull and bearly showed a sign of life. He looked so broken sitting there, in the hospital gown, full with bandages, in an almost empty room. And yet he wasn't able to do anything more than to give him the feeling that he wasn't alone with his problems anymore. It's not like he was a therapist who could help him or a doctor who knew how to handle all his wounds. he was just a teacher, nothing more and so he only could spend his warmth and nothing more.
But was that really enough?
But then again, he wasn't alone all the time, Kurogiri was there for him, appearantly. Maybe that was why Izuku never talked to any of them about it, because he had Kurogiri. well until he was arrested at the kamino ward and put in Tartarus. God... Izuku must have been feeling awful at that time, was that why he was so sad all week after that? It wasn't because of All Mights retirement, but 'cause he lost the person he could talk to about his feelings? Guilt swept over Shota as he thought about it more and soon he stopped walking in the middle of the hallway.
Nurses and such were looking at him, but decided to not disturb him. They heard from colleagues about the greenhaired kid and knew how much pain it must be for his teacher. But Aizawa not only felt pain anymore, the guilt was eating him up even more. Were heroes the reason he couldn't talk to anyone about it? because we took him his friend? Shota clenched his fists and looked down after realizing that and just continued to stand there in the middle of the Hallway. He felt awful, miserable and he hated it.
Ereaserhead didn't know how long he stood there, he just knew that he did. After an unknown time he felt a hand on his shoulder and startled a bit. "Shota, are you okay?" It was Hizashi who ask and soon enough in front of his friend stepped. He had a worried expression and even wore his hair down to express his sorrow for this situation and the people included, especially Inko and Izuku. They both were crying when he stood infront of Izukus room to look for his blackhaired friend, he clearly heard it behind the hospital door.
Shota looked eyes with Hizashi before he took a deep breath to calm down. He still was stressed and hurt and everything else, mainly guilty, but he made up his mind. He knew what to do next, even if it was a risky solution. But he didn't wanted Izuku to suffer more in the future, so he needed to do it, he needed to get him. And the first strep to do so was fearly easy to say the least.
"We need to talk to Kurogiri."

.
It was the next day and nothing was really different from the last day, the day nobody of Class 1-A, the Pro heroes or Inko and Kurigiri would ever forget about. It was the day were Izuku Midoriya snapped.
Inko stayed in the the hospital with Izuku over the night, why wouldn't she, he was her only soon and last family member left. She may got over her husbands death, atleast she said so, but she couldn't afford to lose Izuku also. So she needed to make sure her son was safe from now on, even if it costs to get him out of UA and force him to stay home. She just wanted her little sunshine to be safe, safe and happy and most importanly not alone.
The mother blamed herself for everything that happened, if she just would've noticed the pain her son was in sooner, this may never would've happened. But she also let it slip, just because Izuku said, that he was perfectly fine at UA and could live in the dorms and such. She knew that Izuku wasn't fine, but she also thought that it would get better at UA, his dream school he attended to fulfil his dream to become the best hero there was. And she didn't forgot about Kurogiri, he was also there for his son.
Yes, Inko knew about him, knew that he was a villain and knew that he helped to commit crimes, she knew all that. But she also knew that he was a good guy, that he was kind and caring, especially when it came to her son. he was the one who saved Izuku the first time he wanted to commit Suicide and he was the one who promised to always look after him since that day. And he never broke the promise, well that was until he was put in prison. She wanted to help to get him out of there, but Izuku stopped her by saying that she just would be deemed as Criminal for knowing him and such, he didn't want her to have trouble because of their friendship. That's the same reason Izuku never told anybody from his close relationship to the villain.
Aizawa on the other hand spend the morning to think about his upcoming talk to Kurogiri. He already talked to dedektive tsukauchi about it and made an clear appointment for their talk. Less than two hours layed between Aizawa and the truth about Izukus life, less than two hours were between him and the desicion what to do with the villain. In this time Shota felt uncomfortable all the time and couldn't focus on one thing, he wasn't even able to make himself some coffee without spilling it, putting in to much milk or grabbing a glass instead of an cup.
Hizashi of course was there for him and also would acompany Aizawa to the villain, knowing that his blackhaired friend wouldn't be able to handle it himself. He felt bad for his friend, he cared so dearly about his student and now he had to find out such horrible things about his secret favorite. Present mic hated to see his buddy like that, he really did. It reminded him of the loss of Him and he never wanted to think of the accident again.
The time went passed slowly and it was silent all the time in the home the two pro heroes shared. the just sat together on the couch and watched TV, even though not one time they concentrated on the actual show that played, or walked around the house trying to find something to do. the last few minutes before they were going to took off to visit the villain, shota just stood infroont of his mirror starring at himself after fixing his tie. He still had clearly visible eyebags and and his eyes showed sadness and dissapointment.
As a teacher i'm supposed to look after my students.
I couldn't even do that.
I couldn't even help one of them even though they were desperately in need of it.
I failed my student on all lines.
I'm no hero.
It was a silent ride to he police department and nobody said anything. Aizawa still had those thoughts in his mind and begin to hate himself even more for that. The guilt for not noticing the suffering from the boy, the fake smiles he showed all the time, the pain he was hiding. And not only that, he still thought about Kurogiris arrestment due to them, due to the heroes, which led to Izukus loss of a dear friend he could talk with. After realizing that he couldn't just stop feeling even more guilty.
It's all my fault.
Yamada gently layed a hand on his shoulder and gave him a sympathic and encouraging look, there wasn't even more he could do. The loud hero didn't feel any better about Izukus situation, he also had the boy as his student, he also knew and loved the boy with all his heart. he was such an determined young boy with a great future as hero, he always wore a bright smile and couldn't stand to see anyone sad. Who would've ever thought that such a pricious boy had such dark feelings, such pain.
And there was the one thing, Kurogiri also frustrated him. He was a villain who worked together with the league of villains, a dangerous group of criminals that killed people and committed various other crimes. To hear that he was the one to save the boy, multiple times, was just an unbelivable thing. And when they saw the misty villain handling the boy so sweet, hugging him and calming him down when they were unable to- It was so sweet and lovely of him. he didn't seem like a wanted criminal at all.
And if felt hard to get him into handcuffs and escort him away, knowing that he will end up in prison again and far away from Izuku. They really didn't wanted to, but it was there job as hero and he was, whether they liked it or not, a villain that committed crimes and needed to be arrested. They just hoped that there would be a possibilty to maybe help Kurogiri and Izuku also with giving him the friend back he lost.
But the chance wasn't very high for that.

.
"We talked to him already, asking for personal information about him again, since we still just know about his quirk and alias. But nothing so far. We also ask about his connection to Izuku Midoriya, but he refused to talk to us about it. We can only hope you two can get him to open up about him, you were there when it happend after all.", reported Tsuakauchi and sighed, feeling a bit dissapointed that they got nothing out of him. He was a vulnerable member of the LOV so they also hoped to know more about them and were they are now. They could only hope to get some information soon.
Aizawa just simply nodded after hearing that and opend the door to the interrogation room, Hizashi closly following. And there he was, tighly tied up and without chance to escape. They couldn't get an clear look on his eyes, since he didn't had a face to tell of his emotions, because the villain looked down, seemingly not in the mood to talk. He only looked up a bit as he heard the door again, not to surprised to see the teachers in front of him. He expected them to visit him at some point, they surely had a lot of questions regarding Izuku.
Through an earpiece Aizawa got the notification, that they now could talk to each other, hizashi got the same massage. Shota looked at the villain not knowing how to start exactly. he wanted to knwo so many things, how he and Izuku first met, Izukus condition at that time and many more, but the main question he had was simply 'why?'. Why would the villain, the evil side of the society, help a random boy? the question bothered him for awhile now and he couldn't think of an answer. The villain was the only one who could give it to him.
It was silent for a good while, until Aizawa had enough of the silence and just ask his question. "look, were're not here to ask about your real name or information on the league. As Izukus Teacher I just need to know what exactly happened between you two.", started Shota with a loud sight to hide his real feelings. He still felt guilty for everything and looking at the villain now made it just worse. But he didn't want to cry infront of his enemy. "Well more especially what happened to Izuku.", he added when it went quiet again and looked down for a moment.
Hizashi added nothing more to it, he just continued to sit there and listen to his friend speaking, clearly hearing the pain and guilt that he was hiding. But he knew the best how Ereaserhead acted when it came to emotions and such, so that was no surprise for him. He just hoped that Shota could stand this through and everything would turn out well. Oh shota.
Kurogiri really wasn't surprised to hear this, but he was glad that Izuku was the only thing they wanted to discuss. And it was a good thing that finally more poeple would know about the secret life he just hid behind he picture perfect smiles. The Villain knew that he would be sent to tartarus again, so he was glad that someone would look after Izuku like he did, that someone would be there for Izuku. Of course if he had the chance to do so, but nobody really belived in such a possiblity at all, he would continue to do it. But yeah, the chances weren't exactly high.
But still, talking about his history with Izuku wasn't that simple to start with. It wasn't only his story, Izuku had a huge part in it and he wasn't so sure if it was okay to just share Izukus secrets like that. Yeah, people needed to know about it so they could provide him with the help he really needed, but still it felt like invading his privacy. He hoped that they would maybe ask him about it with Izuku in the room since he would feel way safer to talk about it, but that wasn't the case.
"Were're not here to jugde, we just want to help Izuku. You care about him too, so please tell us.", said Present mic and looked up at the villain, hoping to convience him to just tell them. And the two really had no intention of judging the villain in any way, they only came for Izuku and the only thing they wanted to know directly from Kurogiri, was why he saved the boy, that was all. The last day, when the whole events occured, they heard the worry in Kurogiris voice and the concern. So they were sure that he would tell them and help Izuku with it.
It went silent again until Kurogiri let out a sight and began to tell their story. "It was about two years ago when i first met him. I was just out shopping for groceries and nothing more. It was really random that I came across a middle school, aldera junior high. ", he started and stopped shortly after two sentences, giving the two man some time to think about his words. They may knew already about the middle school, since when they let Izuku in UA they surley looked at his school reports. Well, his false school reports.
And yes, Aizawa knew that school name. When he looked over the files of his students at the start of their first year at UA, he did notice the weird school reports of Bakugo and Midoriya. Mainly because they didn't make sense at all. Bakugo had straight A's and they described him as the perfect and peaceful student, unlike Izuku who barley got through with his grades and was called a troublemaker. Shota didn't think much about it since he saw how the two acted at the entrance exam and just left is standing as a mistake of the school. And after that he never though about it again until now.
Did it have something to do with Izukus mental health? Kurogiri surley didn't mention the name of the school without a reason, so it was only logical, that the school was a reason for Izuku to feel that way. But why exactly? I hope it's not what i'm thinking right now. Shota had an idea why a child could feel- well suicidal- when I came to school. God just thinking about it made Aizawa sick, Izuku and Suicide- he would've never belived it, if he didn't saw it with his own eyes. He just hoped that Kurogiri wouldn't confirm his suspicion about the school.
"I-..he...", tried the mist villain to explain further but needed to take a deep breathe to do so. His next words would be hard, even for him to say it again. "I just saw him falling off the roof, he jumped in the moment I looked at him...",finished the villain and looked down, hating to relive the memorie while at the same time being glad that Izukus first attempt turned out as a fail. But still, he always thought about it as pure luck that he just randomly walked that way that day. The thought if he was to late or took another route that day- it was disturbing.
Both, shotas and hizashis, eyes widden at the words of the villain, a shadow fell over their face and they just stared at Kurogiri for a moment. They knew from the events in the classroom yesterday, that the villain did in fact not save Izuku for the first time, but they didn't thought that he saved them from other suicide attempts before. So they were quite shocked to hear this and Shotas idea about the school and Izukus reason seemed to be really true. He just waited for Kurogiri to confirm it.
"S-So you caught I-Izuku?", ask Yamada stuttering still uncomfortable with the picture of Izuku jumping. It really was making him feel sick the longer he thought about it and he didn't want to anymore. So if the villain really caught him, which probably was the thruth, than they really had to thank him, like a big thanking him. They could have lost their precious cinnamonroll if he wasn't there. They really owed him.
A slight nod came from their opposite and the Pros felt like a big rock fell from their hearts. "I caught him with my portal and dropped him on the roof. There I also found his note he wrote and so I got his name. I still have the note, since that day i saved him I kept it close to me.", you could hear the sadness and relief in Kurogiris deep voice and his eyes looked sad too, even thought they could hardly tell. Kurogiri really kept the note Izuku wrote that day, he would probably still cry if he would read it again. The way Izuku phrased his sentences and really attaked his misty heart. His words sounded so deep, it sounded so hurtful, he sounded so hurt.
"Where is the note right now?"
Aizawa was the one to ask, he wanted to read it, wanted to know what exactly drove Izuku to commit suicide, he needed to know. Shota wanted to know what exactly Izuku felt that day, what hurt him so much, he wanted to unterstand Izukus feelings. And he knew that Kurogiri could just tell them, but he wanted to see the letter with his own eyes and read it. "Can you give it to us?", ask Aizawa again and looked up with a dark expression, shaking slightly, "I need to read it."
At first the police disagreed and said it was to dangerous, but after a lot convincing and the hurt looks of Aizawa they eventually agreed and let Kurogiri use his quirk to get the letter. When they approached him the two cops were shaking nervously but got the kind villain out of his chain, letting him use his arms freely again. And without any resistation he opened a small portal next to Aizawa, letting they paper drop out. After that he was restrained again, Kurogiri did not once try anything to stop them.
Shota took the used paper with shaking hands as he unfolded it, seeing that it was a whole page full of the feelings Izuku had that day. Hizashi layed a hand on his shoulder to encourage him, but it didn't really helped that much. Understandable since Aizawa was going to read a suicide letter, written by his problem child- his student. That wasn't just something he could do that easily. Shotas hands were still trembling and his heart began to beat faster. Then after a while he finally could start reading with a last sight.
/dear person reading this,
probably nobody will, but im writing this anyway.
You probably don't knew me and well if you did, than you didn't care about me. Nobody did it anyway, i'm just a useless freak, a Deku and nothing more, a loser to be kicked around and made fun of, a child who just shouldn't exist. I don't really know why I waited so long -anyway- I'm getting off topic again, even when i'm writing i can't stop mumbling, I'm sorry to everyone in my class who had to listen to my annoying muttering all the time.
Anyway- when you're reading this i'm probably already dead and well maybe you don't even care. Why would you care about a dead person anyway. I jumped off the roof by this point already and if i'm lucky someone called an ambulance or the police to drag my bloody body away already so nobody needs to see my disgusting self. I kinda wish that I could see my dead body when I'm dead, blood always looked good on me, atleast that's what the voices in my head told me. The voice also told me to do this long before he did so it must be right. You may or may not want to know why i did jump, I wouldn't be surprised if not thought.
I always was weird, starting with the fact that I didn't have a quirk like all the other kids had. I guess being quirkless does make me a virus or something, since everybody avoided me since that day or started to call me names, even my best friend did turn his back one me and started to treat me like a sickness, like an insect you don't want to have anything to do with. I tried to ignore it at first, tried to ignore the pain my heart felt everytime the names fell that they called me. freak, bastard, fatass, failure, pest, idiot, dumbass- oh and my personal favorite- Deku. My former childhood best friend turned my name into Deku, which, in case you don't know, means useless and such. Everybody called me that since that day, I wasn't Izuku Midoriya anymore, I was Deku. Well not everybody called me that, but all the kids in Kindergarten, preschool and here did. My teachers still called me Midoriya, but i'm sure they would've loved to call me different, something like brat or such. That's what all the people in my neighborhood called me, brat. Other people normally called me that too when they found out that I had no Quirk. -I noticed that in most conversations people ask about your quirk after the name. That was one reason why I never had even the chance to get friends.-
So yeah I was bullied by the kids around me and my teachers...and other people that knew about my quirklessness, I did not have a single friend. Who would've wanted to became the friend of a failure anyways.
I knew I wasn't fine, I knew that as soon as the voices in my head appeared and told me to do varios things to feel better, while at the same time telling me how much of a DEKU I was. But these voices were the only people that talked to me, so in desperate need of friends I listend to them. And at firts it hurt, cutting my arm and bleeding, or refusing to eat ,since everybody always told me I was fat, and even making myself throw up the food right away when I actually ate. But After some time, weeks, months, years, I got used to it and then I felt nothing anymore. I felt empty. I scared me. Humans are supposed to feel something right? Only Monster feel nothing. So then I Started cutting myself more, hoping I would actually feel pain and when I felt it, it made me happy. And when it stopped hurting again I just cutted more and deeper. the burning taste of alcohol also hurt at my throat, so I started to drink. But after sometime it also stopped and I searched for new ways to hurt myself, to make msyelf feel something again.
Why am I even telling you this?- Probably because I always wrote down all my thoughts- As if somebody besides my mom would read all that. Speaking of her-
Hey Mom,
I just want you to know that it wasn't your fault, so please don't ever think that. Ever since the day we found out that I was quirkless your life became worse, I saw the bills and checks from your work. They paid less once they found out and you needed to have several jobs to provide food for us. And it didn't became better when dad died on his mission in America. I just was a burden to you and I'm really sorry for that. If I never were born to begin with, everything would've been fine probably, so sorry for being born Mom. I'm really sorry you had to live trought all of that just to feed me. And if your wondering why I'm telling you this only know, it's the same reason. I didn't want you to also pay for therapy and doctors to help with my mental health, I would've just been more of a burden to you. I faked all my smiles since I was 11, I don't even know if you or anyone noticed.
I just hope without me your life will be better. Maybe you will even find a new Boyfriend that doesn't run off when you tell them that I'm quirkless. And I'm sure your jobs will pay you better now and you can take more time for yourself and relax. And Kacchan will probably will not be as pissed off all the time as before since I'm gone. Right Kacchan-
Kacchan if you're also reading this, then I want you to know that I'm not angry at you for bullying me and saying all that awful things to me. I'm just a bit sad that you stopped being my friend after you found out. I just always thought that we would be heroes together some day, you at the top and I'm at the second, just like you always said. But I guess without a Quirk you really can't become hero, even All Might told me before I came back here to the roof. I guess I should thank you for your advise to kill myself, it really gave me the last push I needed after the voices told me to do so.
So thanks.
And please thank All Might for telling me how impossible my dream was.
- I hope to be forgotten soon

The fragile boy dropped the pencil and looked over his letter once more, sighting as he saw how much he wrote out of habit again. After reading over his 'essay' again he folded the paper carefully and laid it next to his well-known red schoes. A stone served as a weight so the paper wouldn't be blown away by the wind. Even thought he knew that probably nobody but his mom would read the letter anyways, he still wrote it. It wouldn't be a official suicide without it, wouldn't it?
His green fluffy hair wiggled a bit in the wind and small tears prickled his freckled cheeks, knowing that this would be the last time he was able to see this beatiful fucked up world before he would leave it all behind. Izuku was shaking as he was slowly stepped over the railing, careful not to fall by mistake. He wanted to willingly jump and not fall after all. If he was doing it, then he would do it right.
As he looked down from the roof he gasped the beatiful view. The sun was close to going down, it was 5 pm after all, which gave the whole situation a whole new atmosphere. It was more of a warm and kind goodbye to the world than a tragic end of an innocent little boy. It felt kinda good to end it that way. I kinda wish I could've thanked Kacchan personaly for his advice, he is right with his words so he would've deserved it. Izuku swiped some tears away as he thought about his former best friend again, careful not to brush over the new burn and cuts he got from the last beating after the last lesson.
Jump!
Just take one step and it's done!
There were the voices again, telling him to finally do it, His 'friends' who gave him all those great advices before came back and spoke to him once again. He smiled a bit remembering all the times they laughed with him-about me- or the compliments- more like insults- they threw at him. Those wer such great times he surely-as if- will miss once he jumped.
do it already, standing there is getting boring!
Izuku ignored the voices as he surprisingly saw katsuki walking away from the school, two of his friends accompanying him. I wonder why he's here. I can atleast wave him a goodbye, even thought he won't miss me probably. So that's what the broccoli boy did. He held up his injured arm and waved at his Childhood friend, hoping that he would turn around and actually see it. But that never happened. The last goodbye from Izuku never reached him, Katsuki just continued to walk away with his friends.
You Idiot! He told you to jump off, why would he ever care to even wave back?
Yeah, that was just stupid and unnecessary.
Nobody cares about you or what you do, why would he?
He hates you, he'll be happy after you jumped.
Izuku stopped immediately and let his arm fell limp against his slim body. Yeah you're right, like always. That said the greenhaired looked down again, directly at the cold ground, already imagining his dead body landing there and splattering blood all around him. Well if he would just simply walk off that is. He didn't want for people to try and save him from a possible close dead, so he needed to make sure that he would die at the moment he would hit the ground. He would be nothing but a burden if doctors needed to try and revive him, a burden he didn't want to be. He was doing this to free the world from him, because he was a needless and unwanted human being.
"Landing on my back will do it.", he begin to mutter and turned away from the beatiful view while holding the railing, "If I'm lucky It will first hit my head and I die immediatley, but there also would be a doubled amount of blood, which will be just more work for the people who need to clean it up. Maybe there is tsill another way to land without bleeding to much and making to big of a mess. I could try to fall with my head down so it's the only thing that would hit the ground and spi-"
Shut Up! It's annoying!
Just jump down and stop muttering so loud!
Izuku closed his mouth and lowered his head. Right, my muttering is annoying, I forgot. Sometimes he didn't know if he should thank those voices, voices that don't even have names or a body. Sometimes Izuku did say thanks, but they didn't respond to that and when they did respond it was mean. But still, those voices were the only ones who would talk to him, so he held them close and listened to them, he didn't want to lose them like he lost Bakugo.
"Guess I'm d-doing this now.", Izuku said as he adjusted his feet, ready to jump down, face facing the sky. The voices only became louder as he said that and encouraged him to finally do it. And with one last glance over to the fixated note , the note he wrote extra nice so everybody could read his disgusting messy writing, and his dirty red shoes, still with visible mud and water stains, nicley put next to the note under the stone he got thrown at before...
He let go of the railing.

"I want him out. He deserves better."
Shota Aizawa stood before nezu, Izukus note still folded in his hand. After Shota talked to Kurogiri about what happened with Izuku, how he caught him and brought him to his mother to tell her what happened, how he comforted not only Inko after she read the letter but also talked to Izuku when he woke up again and was confused and frustrated that he wasn't dead, how he promised to look after Izuku from that day on, how he managed to help the suicidal boy even a little bit. He found about the time were Izuku tried to overdoze and was luckily found by the 'villain' fast enough to save him from the dead, the third time were Izuku wanted to hang himself, but was found by his mother who stopped him and the fourth time were he wanted to stung a knife into his chest and was stopped by a portal from Kurogiri.
Kurogiri told them them how he always checked on Izuku before he went to sleep, at the morning and when he came home from training. He always searched Izukus entire room for anything suspicious and when he found it, he threw it away after he showed Inko. Searching Izukus room and cheking up for him, often cooking for him and Inko, helping in the house since Inko had lots of Job, became a routine for Kurogiri he even hid from the league as best as he could.
After the blackhaired heard all that, he just thanked him, thanked the villain for doing all this. Since if it wasn't for him, Aizawa would have never met Izuku, nobody would have met him and nobody who was saved by Izuku all those times would've been saved. Iida, Uraraka, Tsuyu, Bakugo and so on, they all would've been dead. Thanks to Kurogiri they had the luck to have Izuku with them. And he needed to thank him for being there for Izuku and also Inko, he was there for them when nobody was after Izukus father died.
Aizawa hated to admit it but he he couldn't say it wasn't like that. But he was Izukus father. Kurogiri was the father Izuku lost at a young age. And he couldn't not thank the villain for that. Shota also promised Kurogiri something, he wanted to pay him back for what he did and he knew just the person he could speak to about it. That's why he went to nezu not later after he and Hizashi left Kurogiri.
"Kurogiri not only saved Izuku often enough but also saved other people with that. He doesn't deserve to be treated like a criminal, even thought he is working in the league.", said Aiazwa again and his serious gaze met Nezus. He knew that the overpowered principal could do something, not only to get back at Kurogiri for his doings but also to make sure that Izuku will heal. Nezu also cared about Izuku, after he saw his action at the entrance exam and took a closer look in his notebooks he reserved a place as his personal student, ready to take Izuku in whenever it was time for that.
Nezu only nodded after Aizawas statement and turned around his chair, meaning he needed to think more about it. The rat understood his employees wish and really could feel the bunch of feelings that went trought the teacher at this moment. And even though he was thinking the same, also wanted to get Kurogiri on their side, he knew that it wasn't that easy. Kurogiri was still a villain who worked with the league of villains and even if he got captured, there was still a chance he was in contact with them. So just taking him out of prison, freeing him, would still be a risk.
"There must be something we can do, Izuku really needs him, he may never heal without him. Inko and Izuku need him, they both had and still have it hard and he was always there for them. He was a part of their family and I as a hero I don't want to be the reason that a family is destroyed. Kurogiri should from now on live with them, not in prison after everything he did, and stand at their side, at Izukus side."
It became silent after Ereaserheads small speech and then, without a warning, the door fell open and class 1-A students stood there. Ochako, Todoroki and Iida stepped up next to Aizawa, soon followed by Kyoka, who surely told them with her quirk what their teacher was talking about behind the closed door. They all had a determinded look and the same fire burning in their eyes. After all the events the last day, they gatherd together and thought about everything and what to do to make it up to the greenhaired boy. Izuku did so much for them and they never even noticed that he was the one actually needing the help, they needed to pay him back, be there for him too.
And all they could do to help him was making sure he could be happy again, that he could bring out a honest smile again, he deserved to be happy just like they did. And If Kurogiri, villain or not, would make him happy and could give him back his smile, then that was fine. "Aizawa Sensei is right, please!", pleaded Ochako and stepped up first, hands clenched and tearstaint, seeming like she cried before that already. She stood there straight, collecting her thoughts to form her wish for Izuku. The boy owed her so much, it really was the least thing she could do.
"If it wasn't for Izuku I wouldn't be here now, I owe him my life.", she started and thought back to the entrance exam, tears swelling up in her eyes as she thought about her very close death and the moment Izuku jumped in the air and destroyed the robot, not even thinking about his own safiety at all, "He was my first friend here, my best friend, and whenever I was sad he rushed to my side and helped me up. That one time I got bad news from my parents about their company, he was the one to make me smile again, he told me that everything would be fine and that I wasn't alone!"
Tears were now streaming down her rosy cheeks and she wiped them away, not finshed with speaking. She wanted to help Izuku, she wanted to be his hero now, the hero she and all the others wanted to be in the future. And even if her emotions were overflowing and she would love to do nothing more than cry, she still stood straight. "We're heroes right? we're supposed to save people and make them smile again, so if Kurogiri is the solution to help Izuku, to make him happy again, then do it. Bring Kurogiri back, bring him to Izuku and help him!" Ochako almost screamed the last part, so much emotions flooded her brain.
But just thinking about the boy made her emotions run wild, even more in the current situation since it not just the crush she had on Izuku but also his mental health that was far from good. And she really did not give a single F*ck if helping Izuku meant getting a villain out of prison, if it was to help the greenhaired boy she even would come up with a plan and break Kurogiri out herself. Even her close friends and a great number of her classmates was with her in this.
Aizawa was quiet after he heard that, so was nezu and both were unable to say anything back. Ochako was simply right, in Aizawas Eyes atleast, and the accident at the entrance exam really could have ended bad if it wasn't for the suicidal greenhead to jump in. What Nezu was thinking is still not clear, but his thinking wasn't that far away. The principal and Shota became even more silent when Todoroki stepped up next to Uraraka, also wanting to add something. And they could think of a reason why Todoroki would defend Izukus saviour. But the emotions Todoroki put in were surprising.
Shoto held his head low, letting his hair hide his expression, he also clenched his fists. Ochako wasn't the only one who owed him, Izuku also saved him, also helped him when he needed it, also was there for him. He couldn' t just stand still and let the boy sink deeper into depression because they took him his hero, his caretaker. As Izukus best friend he simply couldn't accept that. And if it meant standing up for a villain to help Izuku, he wouldn't care.
"I never had friends, and I always thought that I don't need them, I always went through everything alone. But Izuku still came to me, he still smiled at me and gave me encouraging words. I don't know if those were just fake to keep his happy facade up or not, but I don't care. he was the one who was always there when I needed someone, If it wasn't for him I would still only use my Ice and wouldn't be able to stand up to my father. he helped me over my issuses, helped me socialize and because of him I could finally be a normal kid. I have friends now I'm finally happy!"
It wasn't long before Shoto also had tears in his eyes, tears he rarely showed in the past. He also never cried infront of anyone other than Midoriya during his time at UA, for everybody there, seeing Todoroki like that was a first. And that was just really surprising to Aizawa especially. He never was that close to his student that he would knew if they had problems, he just offered to hear them rent about it. So now hearing that Todoroki also had issuses, even thought Midoriya helped to solve them, it hurt him.
"So I'm not gonna just stand there and watch my best friend drowning in all sorts of problems! Izuku deserves to be happy too and if a villain is the solution to that, then fuck it, let it be that way! Let the villain stay with him! Please!"
Shoto knew the last part wasn't exactly nice formulated, but he didn't care. he also didn't care that he spoke to his principal like that, he didn't care that he could be expelled or anything, he did it all for Izuku to pay him back, did the things he needs to do as a friend. It was his turn to be there for Izuku now, even if the broccoli wouldn't let them help. He would force his Help to be accepted, just like Izuku did with their Friendship.
By this point the pro heroes were both smiling, smiling for the kind words of the students. It maybe was just a small tear that found their way down Shotas face, but it was enough to show his gratitude towards his dear students. He always knew that they were good kids anyways, especially Midoriya. And those actions just showed it even more. Yeah, Bakugo may was an exception, but that was a topic for later, Izukus health came first.
nezu was about to say something, but didn't came further than 'dear stud-' before he got interrupted by none other than Iida this time. "Izuku also saved my life, if it wasn't for him Stain would have easily killed me back in that alley. I also owe him my life.", the blue haired admitted and thought back to that day in Hosu, Todoroki followed his action. It was an terrible experience and Izuku prevented not just Iidas death that day. Shoto still hates the fact, that his father got all the credit just because they acted illegally.
Nezu of course knew what really happened back at Hosu that night, why wouldn't they tell them. But besides the Police headmaster, the students, endeavor, Stain and Nezu nobody knew. So Aizawa was a bit shocked to hear that, Ochako was the same. But they couldn't and didn't want to know more about that at the moment, it didn't matter anyway. The Thought of what else may happened behind there backs just scared them. Because now it wasn't only Izukus mental health but also the incident with stain.
"He came looking for me after I just ran off with only revenge in my mind, not thinking clearly what a hero is actually supposed to do. he did not only came for my rescue but also showed me what a hero really is, he showed me what I really archive to be, Izuku opended my eyes. Izuku is the sort of hero the worlds needs and without him I see no future. So now it's our turn to show that we are real heroes! That's what we all are trying to archive aren't we?!" Iida did not once move his arms like he normally did, he did not once had that look of a robot following the rules, he held so much sadness and hope in his red orbs.
The room became silence once agian after the normally strict teenager spoke, his head held down after he finshed, tears on his cheeks only to be constantly wiped away. Ochako than started to cry more again, running into Iidas arms for comfort, which the speed hero accepted without resistation. Shoto looked up at the turned away principal, eyes full of hope that he could and will do something to help Izuku AND Kurogiri.
Shota looked over to his crying students and hold back his own flood of salty tears, he soon joined Todoroki and looked over to the white rat, hoping to hear an answer from him. A good answer. But he knew for himself that their wish wasn't that easy to just fulfill, at the same time he knew, that Nezu would surely find a way to do so. It was Nezu after all, he was one of the smartest beings of this world, if he wouldn't be able to do something, then nobody would.
Well, if we're talking about legal solutions that is.
And then finally the small animal turned his chair around, showing a kind smile behind his closed eyes. It was a good sign. "I'm really warmed by your words. You really are good kids, just as I knew all the time, I'm not letting every kid in this school anyway.", he opened his round black orbs and his expression changed. He still smiled, but way more serious this time. "And you're not alone with the wish to help them both, I myself wish for that too.", he stated and put his paws on his desk, sighting in the process.
That start brought hope over the faces of the teacher and his students, but that soon dropped as they saw the smile fade from Nezu shortly after that. "But it isn't exactly easy to just free Kurogiri since he did committed crimes and works with the league of villains. So freeing him really won't be that easy. It's going to be a long term process with lots of meetings and discussions at the court, also we need to make sure that Kurogiri will cut his connection to the LOV immediatley and without hesistation.", Nezu explainend and the faces of his visitors darkend.
That didn't sound like it would work out, Nezus faceical expression just added to that. Ochako just burried her face deeper into Iidas chest and sobbed, feeling like all their hope just got crushed. Tenya tightened the hug back and looked to the ground, as well as Shoto and Aizawa did. Ereaserhead looked down, not suprised to hear that from his boss at all. It still crushed him and he didn't want to believe that. Nezu wouldn't just give up like that. He can do it, right? he clenched his fists and lookd up again. "But-"
he froze as he saw the slight grin on the rats face and his shortcutted sentence also got the three younger heroes to look up again. "But I wouldn't be Nezu if I couldn't pull that off, now would I?", the short principal added and raised his arms in a happy manner. His grin grew into a laugher and he smiled at his students. He would make sure to help Izuku, help his furture personal student. Without Izuku a 'Nezu 2.0' wouldn't be poosible and class 1-a, the pro heroes, and especially All Might and Aizawa wouldn't be able to do their work anymore.
So helping Izuku Midoriya was a must.
The three students froze for a bit, needing to understand what the animal just said. But it wasn't long before they brightly smiled and grinned at each other. Happy tears made their way to their eyes and Ochako started to happily jump up and down, accidently using her quirk and making both of her classmates hoover over the ground. But in the moment she couldn't care less, the brunette was just happy to hear that Izuku would get his help, that he could find happiness once again in his life. Happiness he would share with all of his friends and classmates. She couldn't wait to see his bright smile again, his not fake and shining big smile.
Aizawa also smiled after he heard that, feeling at ease since his student would be saved. And he promised himself that he would be a better teacher and Hero from now on, not letting another of his dear students suffer like that. he promised to take enough time to check up on his students once in a while to preved such events just as Izuku from happening again. Firstly Bakugo was on his list to work with, because he knew that after everything that happened, katsuki would change for the better and even thought Shota still would punish him badly for what he did, he would also give him a second chance.
And so it came.

..
.
"Good morning everybody!", greeted the greenete as he walked in his classroom, looking around with a slight smile. Immediatley the greeted him back, waved at him or approached and hugged him. Ochako-literaly- jumped in the arms of her best friend, wich made the other people in the Dekusquad slightly jealous, but they soon joined the group hug and gave Izuku all the love he needed. "How was your Morning Izu-kun? How are you feeling?", ochako ask as the bubbly girl she was and always will be, letting go of the broccoli boy.
It was a question they always ask nowadays, well since the whole events a few months ago. But they wanted and needed to make sure that from now on Izuku would be fine, at least as fine as he could be, and they would never let his troubles slip away just like that anymore. And yes, even they knew hat after months Izuku couldn't completly recover, they knew it would probably take years for him to fully heal. But just knowing that he was feeling better bit by bit everyday, made them happy.
And Izukus wasn't fine, still after months he was feeling awful. But now he wasn't alone with it anymore, he was getting help from everybody around him. He got Therapy, regulary meetings with hound dog and Aizawa, He often got longer breaks from school to spend time at home, he didn't even lived in the dorms anymore for the time being, and even if it was annoying sometimes to be the center of attention, he still felt better with it. And after all those years of telling lies when somebody did asked how he was, he now could tell the truth and feel safe with it. He now could be honest if it came to his mental health, even thought sometimes his answers were understatements rather then the truth on how he felt, but atleast he could talk about it now.
"the usual. But sleeping is working way better now and even without pills to help with that, So I guess that's an improvement.", answered the ill boy and scrached the back of his head, still feeling a bit weird openly talking about everything. His sleep was the first thing that improved, telling someone about his problems really took away a lot of thinking in the nights. Izuku still had problems with it thought, still had nightmares sometimes or just felt wide awake and not a bit sleepy, he still had sleepless nights- but it was slowly getting better.
His friends smiled relieved after hearing that and then moved on to other topics worth to have an conversation. For that they moved inside the classroom again, gattering around Izukus table, which was now more at the front and far away from Bakugo. It didn't took long for Midoriyas other classmates to greet him and asking how he felt or giving him a quick hug. (Well if you consider Minas hugs as quick, since she really can be clingy sometimes. ) Izuku answered of course, but this time he just gave off a 'better' or similar.
the only words he never even once put in his mouth were "I'm fine."
Soon it was classtime and Ereaserhead stepped through the gigantic door, which really wasn't needed. His first glance fell to Izuku of course and he sighed relieved at the brighter looking boy. He really was glad that he was getting better now and wasn't suffering all alone any more, he really was. Not only as teacher, but also as father. Of course he wasn't Izukus father, not biological and also not adoptive, but he still liked to see his problem student like the son he never had. he would have been really happy if he would have gotten the chance to adopt the greenhead, but another deserved it more than him.
The blackhaired cleared his throat and got the attention from his kids, now able to start his lesson. It wasn't really that different to his lessons before the incident, there was just one major change. Bakugo wasn't there. And no, he was not expelled. Many were wishing for it after they heard what he did to Izuku, including his own mum Mitsuki, but surprisingly Izuku was against it. He out of all people wanted Bakugo to stay at UA, even after everything he had done. Izuku Midoriya simply was just an angel, way to kind.
So Bakugo was not expelled, but he got a lot of detention, extra training and other punishments such as cleaning the dorm, classroom or bathrooms. And he also got counseling for the bullying and help with his anger problems. They often took him out of the lesson for this sessions, which also prevented possible arguments and fights between him and Izuku. And when Bakugo was in the lessons Izuku had his sessions with hound dog or others, while Bakugo was sitting in the classroom.
That whole system was working well and after some time people began to also forgive the ashblond for his past actions. Kirishima was the first one to talk to him after Izuku did and soon the Bakusquad was a thing again. Others did took longer to forgive katsuki, especially members of the Dekusquad, Ochako and Todoroki still couldn't forgive Bakugo at the time being. But Izuku was sure that those two also would look past katsukis actions and accept him once again some day.
.
Lunch came by and instead of eating with his mentor All Might, Izuku went to sit with his friends at the cafeteria. While the others were eating the food from lunch rush, the greenbean had a homecooked meal, which most people were jealous of. It was better then the cafeteria food, even lunch rush himself did taste it and accepted defeat, he never got over the frustration and day by day he tried to make his food even better. It was kinda wholesome how he ask Izuku to try his new dishes and deserts, especially since the boy wore a smile everytime the pro hero ask him to do it.
He still did not yet succeded to beat the homecooked meal thought.
After Lunch rush gave Izuku that much attention other teachers did the same, with Aizawa and surprisingly Nezu being at the front. Shota simply just cared to much about Izuku and wanted to atleast be a good second father figure, while Nezu just needed to make sure that the boy would heal and get all of his wishes. (He still did it to raise Nezu 2.0, but that wasn't his main priority) Sometimes he really spoiled the kid and soon he was upgraded to be the third father figure for Izuku. (Which really worried the other pro heroes when it came to Izukus future and Nezus potenial evil plans.)
In the end Izuku became like the kid of the whole UA stuff, even thought he still had his mum and new dad. And the bone breaker would always prefer those two, his mum and dad would always be his favorit parents.
"can I come over to your place after school? I kinda don't feel like seeing my old men today.", ask Shoto as he ate his soba and looked up at Izuku, hoping to hear an yes and no complains from the other squadmembers. Also he really didn't feel like seeing his dad after school, it was Monday and Endeavor was always so stressed and angry at that day. Izukus dad was way better and always calm, he rather lived at Midoriyas place forever than at his. He would visit his siblings and mother of course, that was no question, but he still hated his places.
Ochako glared at the two- toned boy and folded her arms. While she understood Todorokis reasoning, she also knew that the boy had other intetions as to why he wanted to go home to Izuku. And she did not like that at all, not a single bit. Maybe it was just her jealousy, since she still had an enourmas crush on the greenhaired kid, but then again it also just could have been her yearning after good food.
"You just want his dads cooking, that's all."
Shoto showed now reaction to her accusation, he just continued to wait for an answer from Izuku. Yeah maybe that was also his reason for wanting to visit Izukus home, but he had plenty of other reasons to ask for that. And he knew that Izuku would understand that and offer him his help to get away from his not-so-abusive-anymore father. OK- maybe the food had a bigger role then the other things, but escaping his moody father on mondays was still his main reason.
Soon Ochako started an argument with the ice prince and both were arguing about visting Izukus home after school. And yeah, while both had good reasons to ask Izuku for his agreement, they both also ask for the food. His dad was just an really really awsome cook, that was a fact. Everybody who got a taste of his food once always ask for more atleast twice, and as Izukus close friends they just had a bigger chance to get it. The depressed boy just lightly smiled at his friends antics and soon came to the conclusion to just invite both of them.
they were satisfied after that and continued to eat without any other word.
.
"I'm Home!", greeted Izuku as he opened the door to his beloved home, Ochako and Shoto followed, still glaring at each other sometimes. The three UA Students soon met Inko as she walked up to Izuku and entgulfed him in a long hug, smling brightly as she saw his slight smile. After everything that happened in the classroom a few months ago, she really just was glad that her son was fine now. Well not fine, but better. Inko was happy to see her son with those emerald green eyes of his, not dull and dark but rather filled with hope for a better future.
She continued to hug the boy and after solid 2 minutes she finally let go, also now greeting Shoto and ochako in her home, the seventh time in the last two week she may add. "It's good to see you again, how are you? Is everything fine at school? How are Tenya and Asui- chan doing?" several more questions came from the short greenhaired woman as she led the three through the house, ending in the kitchen were the smell of food already was in the air. Izuku did his best to answer and his friends happily watched him as he told his mother about them and his day, not even once looking sad or stressed.
As they entered the kitchen Izuku was the first to run up to the misty figure at the stove, stirring in a pot while also cutting up vegetables for the dish. he ran up to him and hugged him, wearing a big smile while he did. "Hey DAD!", he greeted and finally looked up at his father, seeing the familiar bright yellow eyes, which now gave off a warm feeling. The retired villain looked down at his son and smiled softly, well his eyes smiled but the details are not important right now.
Inko, Shoto and Ochako just smiled at the scene and enjoyed the wholesomeness of the moment. They were so happy for Izuku that he now had a father again after he lost his biological one. he really did need a father figure in his life and if villain or hero or just some office worker, they were just glad that he had one now. The UA students learned fast to accept the former villain as friend, even thought he once tried to kill them and helped then league with attaking them. But they were over that, faster than they could forgive Katsuki.
Inko also was happy to have Kurogiri now. Of course he couldn't replace her dear husband, nobody would ever held the place in her heart that he had. Kurogiri was like a good friend for her, and she would never feel anything more than friendship towards him, but he still was a great father for her son and really helped not only him but also her with her mental health. She was really lucky to have him at her side, in her home. He never could replace Hisashi, even Izuku admitted that, but he really did his best and was great at this job.
Obor- Kurogiri just looked down at the boy he once saved the life from, and another time and another time after that. His Smile brought a smile to his face and his hug made him feel welcomed at this home. Sure, he did not hate the league at all, after all it was just a bunch of adults who never had a childhood and lived it now in form of villany, they were also just a bunch of kids without a real home. he cared for them, which was the reason that he still was allowed to visit them sometime, with a pro hero to made sure that he wouldn't do something villainous again.
But he was way happier now, at his new home, in his new crimefree life. And the boy infront him, who was now getting help and was not in danger for possibly committing suicide again, made his life even better. He now not only had a real home but he had a family, biological or not, chaotic and always full of surprises, he loved them more then anything in his entire life and would never ever give it up.
"Welcome home son"
