Emily felt like she was going crazy as she paced back and forth at the embassy. She couldn't believe what had happened. Like it wasn't bad enough that she had to be declared dead just to protect her and her son from a mad man. But now, this…why was this happening to her?

Her partner was in the hallway talking to their boss.

Emily watched him through the window as she continued pacing back and forth. She thought about calling her sister, but her sister thinks she's dead and she's really not supposed to contact anyone from her former life. But since she's not technically Emily Prentiss anymore, maybe it would be okay. She had been taught not to trust, but her sister was the one person she could always trust. And her sister isn't from her life as Emily Prentiss. His sister is from an entirely different life of hers.

Emily Prentiss is dead. And now she's gone back to a life that she had left behind long ago. A life and a job that she swore she would never go back to, but it's also the only life where she feels like she'll be safe from her past. Her past not only as Lauren Reynolds, but as Emily Prentiss too.

She pulled out her phone, unlocking it and then locking it back, each time staring at her lock screen wallpaper.

It's a picture of her kids.

She smiles at the picture and then unlocks her phone again, she started dialing her sister's number. Letting out a sigh, she locked the phone again. This time she placed the phone back in her pocket.

Meanwhile at the Navy Yard, inside of NCIS headquarters, Ziva was sitting at her desk. She was working on tracking down at few leads for their case when a name and a picture popped up on her screen that she thought she would never see again.

"What?" Ziva muttered

It couldn't be….It shouldn't...she shouldn't...this picture shouldn't be on her screen. It was impossible.

Ziva's attention was diverted away from her computer when her phone rang. She looked at the caller ID.

It was the Israeli embassy.

She couldn't imagine why they were calling her, considering that she has left Mossad and she's not an Israeli citizen anymore.

"Hello?" Ziva answered her phone, confused.

"I know it looks bad, Z, but I swear I can explain."

Ziva's eyes widened, "Liya? I thought you were dead. What are you doing in DC? And how are you connected to an NCIS case?"

"I was on a mission. It went south though. I can't tell you anymore than that."

"You are back with Mossad? Why?"

She heard a hum come over through the phone, "Yeah. It's a long story. Just know that my mission has coincided with your NCIS case. It's not my fault. Meet me at the embassy and I'll explain as much as I am able."

Ziva hummed, "Okay."

The sound of the elevator ding causes Ziva to switch over to Hebrew. She told her sister that she'll see her soon.

As Jethro was walking over to his desk, he spoke to Ziva, "Have any leads, Ziver?"

"Um…Yeah. One. It is a long shot, but I am going to go check it out." She told him as she stood up and rushed to the elevator.

Ziva knew that she really should have trusted Jethro, but this was her sister…her big sister who had been declared dead three months ago. She was going to need some answers before she talked to her boss about this. Whatever this was.

As Ziva was getting in the elevator, she was stopped by Abby.

"Ziva, just the person I needed to talk to."

"Can it wait, Abby? I am kind of in a hurry."

Abby hummed, "Well, I guess. But I thought I'd do you the courtesy of telling you before I tell Gibbs what I found out about the case."

Ziva gave a sigh as she stepped out of the elevator, but still keeping it open with her foot, "Okay. What did you find?"

"Well the blood that was found at the crime scene was a familial match." Abby started, "To you. But it doesn't make any sense because the woman that the blood belongs to died three months ago."

"Hmm…strange." Ziva replied, pretending not to know anything about it.

Abby nodded, "Very. So who was she to you?"

"She is…was my sister. My older sister."

Ziva rushed into the elevator, pressing the close button before Abby could say another word. She had never told her team about her older sister. They only knew about her half-brother and her younger sister Tali.

Technically her older sister was her half-sister because like Ari, Liya has a different mother. However, unlike Ari, Liya grew up more with Ziva and Tali than Ari did. That and Liya is actually good. Liya was...is everything to Ziva. She would do anything for her sister.
