Katsuki Bakugo was a person with a dream. One that he could attain by the words of the people around him. He was confident but bordering on arrogance.
It was for good reason though. He was smart, he has the looks, and he literally is the bomb. Yet for all those reasons, he was still getting his throat stuffed by sewer water incarnate.
Heroes were already on the scene trying their hardest to save the boy. They were hesitant, their Quirks unable to get in close.
The pro hero Death Arms was one of the first to try and help but was stopped as soon as he went in for a punch. He was sent to the closed garage door and pain spread from the impact.
The others arrived but the situation was still too volatile for them. Various reasons for their Quirk working against them during the situation or were too busy handling other matters.
The crowd nearby was worried, a few voiced their complaints but it was silenced by the roaring support of the majority. They cheered as the battle was happening.
Izuku Midoriya was a person with a dream. One that he was constantly being denied by everyone around him, including his idol All Might.
He was meek but when presented with the situation in front of him, he was the bravest person in the world.
He blamed himself for the near-death that his childhood friend, bully, and classmate were experiencing. It wasn't a pleasant way to die, Izuku knew that very well after the villain caught him a while ago.
But it didn't matter to him, the fact that he could die, because he could only do one thing. He legged it.
Ayaka arrived at the scene in question. Seeing a boy under the hold of a disgusting-looking monster. She thought it looked like an elemental slime. What element it would be she didn't want to think about.
She saw it and wanted to help, without her katana she could still do something with her vision. She stops her thought.
'Where is my Vision?'
She patted herself and looked back into her memories in the apartment complex. Her Vision was nowhere there yet she wasn't feeling the onset of losing ambition.
Losing one's vision made the person lose their hopes and dreams, turning them into less of a human and more of a walking and talking puppet, puppeteered by no one.
She didn't feel any different, she wanted to help the boy struggling against the villain. Explosions ripped out as the boy sparked his hands. It caught Ayaka's attention.
'A Pyro Vision?'
She wasn't sure what it was but she had no time to theorize. Ayaka wanted to help, the boy needed her aid. A look of horror and pain was on Katsuki's face, and with that, she didn't need to hesitate.
But when a scraggly-looking boy with green hair charged in. She was surprised, he threw his backpack and hit the sludge villain in the eye letting Katsuki breathe for a moment.
'They're both going to get hurt!'
Ayaka felt heat rising from her back, not one of an intense burn but one of comfortable warmth. She embraces the feeling and rushes in as well, to the dismay of the other heroes.
"Hey! Don't go in! Damn suicidal kids!" A policeman shouted.
Her hands frosted all over her body as she sinks low to the ground, she left a trail of snow in her wake as she rapidly approached the sludge villain aiming for Izuku.
Izuku closed his eyes waiting for his imminent death but it never came. He opened it to see Ayaka freezing part of the villain's body in a harsh frost.
"What the!" The sludge person cried out in panic.
The near sub-zero temperatures reacted fast to the villain's liquid body. The heat from nearby wasn't hot enough to melt it quickly. He tries to strike again but Ayaka, with a steeled expression, cries out.
"Embrace the ice!"
A katana of ice and snow constructs from her hand. Flaking away into her palms, a fan suddenly materializes in her hands. She flicks away the condensed elemental burst she had stored and the environment itself started to change.
The villain looks in horror as the small ball of frost turns into a massive blizzard heading towards him enveloping almost everyone around in a chill.
Ayaka didn't let up, her frost katana gets placed into a non-existent sheathe to her side. A glow of an elaborate symbol suddenly forms in her hands.
"Judgement cut!"
In the blink of an eye, she expertly targets the villain holding on to Katsuki. A flash of differing blue lights appears on the sludge villain.
He thought nothing happened but he felt a bone-chilling temperature in his body while the blizzard covered his vision.
Katsuki gets cut free as Ayaka dashes into the ground and appears underneath him. She princess carries him away to safety as she returns to a gobsmacked Izuku who was too distracted staring at a girl.
She carries him to the police and joins them while the heroes closed in on the half-frozen sludge villain who was encased in solid ice as his body froze at the extreme temperatures.
Everyone gave way for the Frostflake Heron, she absentmindedly sheathes her katana, forgetting it wasn't her actual sword. She dissipates it into the air before fixing her clothes that were dirtied from the fight.
A flash of light made her wince as she stared into the lens of a camera. She recognizes it from her time in Inazuma, a recent technology imported from Fontaine.
Being the Shirasagi Himegimi, she flashes a gentle smile. One that she had been so used to showing when in public. The crowd fell silent.
*Thud!*
Unfortunately for one person, it was too much for him when he peeked a look at the picture he took. It was like staring at a work of art and thus his mortal soul couldn't take the overload of stimulus.
"Who's that?"
"So pretty!"
"What a Quirk..."
Everyone immediately clamors at the new arrival of Ayaka but the heroes quickly took her inside the police line along with Katsuki and Izuku.
Ayaka was surrounded by the heroes. She didn't know why these people looked so odd when in their costumes. She thought she was in trouble.
"That was amazing!"
"Was that your Quirk?!"
"Your hair looks so smooth, what brand do you use?"
"Where do you study? You'll do great with our agency!"
"Oi! Get in line she'll join my agency!"
"What's your name?"
Ayaka was overwhelmed with questions but she was used to dealing with this kind of thing. She was born into the Kamisato clan after all. She answered them in rapid succession.
"Thank you, although that green-haired boy deserves praise for distracting the criminal." She answered the first.
"What is a Quirk?" She answers the second.
"I don't use any usual shampoo, I use a special cocogoat milk mixture." She answers the third.
"I was taught by my mother and tutors in my home." She answers the fourth
"I don't know what these Agencies you speak of, sorry." She answers the fifth.
"My name is Kamisato Ayaka, a pleasure to meet all of you." She answers the final question with a bow.
The heroes look at her answering the questions with confusion written on their faces. Ayaka didn't know what an Agency or a Quirk was.
What made them more curious however was the mention of a cocogoat milk mixture. But they digressed.
"You don't know what a Quirk is?"
"I haven't the slightest idea," Ayaka replied.
The heroes look at each other and shrugged. "Quirks are abilities inheritable traits that almost everyone has, apart from the Quirkless. They are special traits that can range from mutation Quirks to Quirks that can manipulate the environment."
Ayaka was nodding along. 'So a Vision doesn't exist here... yet some people can exhibit abilities.'
"As for Agencies, it's just organizations made by pro heroes like us."
Ayaka tilted her head. "Heroes?"
"You can study and train as one, help the people, and defeat villains. Well, our city of Musutafu has one of the best schools in that regard, U.A."
Ayaka was impressed. 'A school to teach people to be a hero? How interesting, I must see this for myself.'
The conversation died down to that as the police wanted the heroes to help out with the damages. Ayaka was left to think on her own.
'How did my vision come to be? I don't remember having this Quirk they mentioned.'
She remembered the feeling of feeling a heat rise from her back the moment she tried to use her vision. Ayaka guessed it might be related to what was happening.
The police already started to secure the villain. The wails of police vehicles filled the area. Ayaka glanced at her side, seeing that unlike hers and the explosion person, the meek-looking boy was receiving a wave of negative attention.
The heroes berated the boy and told him that it was dangerous and asked if he was thinking right about risking his life. Ayaka looked on with worry.
'He did as much as he could do, foolish or brave, he was important in giving time for the other boy to live.'
She decided to follow after him, she slipped away from the crowd and made her way into the streets. It was hard for her to lose the crowd but she eventually did escape the embiggening clump of people.
Ayaka loses track of the green-haired boy, she wanted to let him know that he did nothing wrong. Perhaps, she could lift his spirit since he looked so distraught.
She rounded the corner and saw a skeletal man talking to the boy who was crouched on the ground.
"In...inherit your power?"
"Haha!"
The skinny man laughs heartily, looking up from himself and holding himself from laughing.
"You should see your face."
Ayaka was never one for eavesdropping but she couldn't help but listen in after hearing something about inheriting a power.
The disheveled form of All Might closes in on Izuku as he looks up to see him smiling.
"It's a suggestion. Now, let's talk. See young man, what I am saying is-
Ayaka stared from behind the wall with widened eyes as she saw the man instantly cough up what looked like liters of blood without flinching.
"-do you want to accept my power?!"
Izuku was utterly perplexed. 'What is All Might talking about?'
Ayaka was now feeling guilt from listening in to something very important. She wanted to tell them but then again, she was too keen on figuring out what Quirks are capable of doing.
All Might started to explain everything about One-For-All. He gestured to himself while Izuku was still in shock. Mumbling incoherent words until All Might made him stop.
"Nonsense!"
"Wha-?"
"I have a lot of secrets, but I never lie. The power that transfers power. That is the Quirk I inherited. I was crowned with the name, One-For-All."
All Might told him that despite being powerless, Izuku wasn't one to stray away from saving someone. He was the essence of a true hero. One that deserved to have his power passed to him.
Izuku stood up with a determined expression, he cuffs out a breath and wipes his watery eyes.
"Yes, please!"
"What a quick reply, I knew you'd make the decision!"
As the sun started to cover the area in an orange glow, Ayaka walked out for them both to see her figure showing through a silhouette behind the sunset.
"Is this a bad time?" she innocently asked.
Out of all the places where All Might could be talking about one of his larger secrets, he didn't think to remember that they were in the middle of a neighborhood.
His response?
Pumping out more blood from his mouth.
