The next day Liya arrived at work - at the BAU. She glanced around the empty squad room, before walking up to the round table room where her team was all sitting.

She stood in the doorway as Aaron explained the situation, and everyone turned to look at her.

"Hi." Liya uttered

She didn't know what else to say, but still she stepped inside the room, strolling over to the front where Aaron was standing.

It was time for her to come clean. After Ian and answering to two names her whole life, Liya was tired of all the secrets.

"I have something to tell you all." Liya disclosed, "And it's about more than just Ian Doyle. It's about my name, and my father."

"You don't have to do this, Emily." JJ told her

Liya hummed, "I know. I want to. As you all know, my name is Emily Prentiss. It's the name my mother gave me, but my father…my father named me Liya. Liya David. My father is Eli David."

Spencer's eyes widened, "The director of Mossad?"

Liya nodded, "Yes. I didn't work for Interpol. I worked with them as a liaison, but I worked for Mossad."

"What was that like? Working for your father?" Derek wondered

"I didn't really know any different. He'd trained me for that since I was six years old."

Penelope gasped as she got up, hugging her friend tightly, "Wow. I'm so sorry, Emily."

Liya pulled out of the hug, waving off the apology, "Oh, it's fine."

"I knew you moved around a lot as a kid, because of your mom's postings, but I didn't know about you moving back and forth between wherever your mom was and your dad in Israel." Derek added

Liya shook her head, "It wasn't all that much. I spent more time in Israel with my father. I moved in with him permanently when I was fifteen."

"So…while on the topic of your life with your father…" Spencer spoke, trailing off, "You have siblings, right?"

"Yes. I had an older brother and I have a younger sister." Liya explained, "My sister works for NCIS now."

She didn't bring up Tali because that was a whole other can of worms that she really didn't want to talk about.

"Are you still working for Mossad now?" Derek questioned

Liya shook her head, "No. I left Mossad after the Ian Doyle case first closed seven years ago."

She also didn't think it was worth mentioning that she had gone back to work for Mossad instead of being in Paris like she was supposed to be. Her team would just ask too many questions, like they are now. She could see it in their eyes, and she can't talk about Mossad missions.

"What happened to your brother?" Spencer asked

"He's dead." Liya stated matter of factly.

Liya had mixed feelings when it came to her brother. She and Ari were only a year apart in age. The two of them had been close before he had lost his way. And even with all the terrible things he had done, Liya still loved him. He was her brother after all.

"I'm sorry for your loss." Spencer apologised

"Thanks, Spencer." Liya hummed as she nodded, her mind drifting away.

- Flashback: 1981 -

Eleven year old Liya David and her twelve year old brother Ari just found out that their step-mother is pregnant.

Liya is sulking in her room when Ari comes in to check on her.

"You okay, Li?" He asks as he walks over and sits down on the bed.

She takes a big breath, letting it out dramatically.

"What are you worried about?"

She glances up, looking at her big brother, "What if Ima doesn't love me anymore once the baby is born?"

"What? Li, that's crazy." Ari says as he hugs his little sister, "Ima khoreget loves you. That'll never change."

"But the baby will be her real child." Liya cries, "I'm just Abba's. I'm not really hers."

And this hurt Liya more than anyone knew, because her mom Ambassador Prentiss spends most of her time working. When Liya, or rather Emily, when she's with her mom, spends most of that time alone. Granted that her time with her Abba isn't much different, but at least she has Rivka. Now Rivka is having a child of her own and Liya feels like she'll be forgotten about.

"Rivka will never stop loving you, Li. It doesn't matter that you aren't biologically hers. She loves you. I know that, and I know that you do too."

Liya sniffles, her arms still wrapped tightly around her brother, crying into his shoulder. She didn't say anything, and Ari just consoled his crying sister, holding her and rubbing her back.

"And most importantly, I love you, Li."

"I love you too, Ari."

- End of flashback -

"Emily?! Emily!" Liya heard Penelope's voice calling her name.

When she came back to the present, she found that it was just her and Penelope in the round table room.

"Where is everyone?"

"They got called away for a case." Penelope informed, "Where did you go?"

Liya gave a small smile, "A memory of better days, back to the day that my brother Ari. That was his name. When Ari and I were told that our step-mother was pregnant. Ari called her by her name Rivka, but I called her Ima. It means mother in Hebrew."

Penelope nodded, "Sounds like a good memory."

"It was. He was a great big brother, even if he was only older by one year. My one regret will always be that I couldn't save him. He lost his way, and I couldn't save him like he had always saved me."

"Tell me about your sister." Penelope requested, changing the topic hopefully to a more happy one.

Liya grinned from ear to ear, finally sitting down and joining Penelope at the round table.

"Ziva...she's the best little sister a girl could ask for.I couldn't be more proud of her and who she's become despite who our father is and what he raised us to be." Liya explained, "Abba was hardest on me and Ari, but that's because we did everything we could to protect Ziva from him. To protect her from being trained."

"I'd love to meet her."

Liya nodded, "Yeah. She wants to meet you and the rest of the team too. She was supposed to come with me today, but her team caught a case."

"Another time then."

"Yeah. Another time." Liya agreed
