After Izuku woke up his mom they brought Muku to the hospital. Ryuga explained that Muku was beaten because he was quirkless. While Ryuga was at school Muku was going to the doctor to find out what his quirk was. The doctor told him that he was quirkless and the administrator that took him told the rest of the kids. When Ryuga had gotten back they looked like they were trying to beat Muku to death. After Ryuga scared off the kids he brought Muku to the Midoriyas because he didn't know anyone else to go to.

At the hospital Ryuga learned that they were trying to kill Muku. In addition to the visible wounds on his face Muku had three broken ribs, a fractured leg, a dislocated shoulder, and internal bleeding. The hospital informed them that if Muku had gotten there even an hour later he might not have made it, but because they got him here fast enough he should make a full recovery. While Ryuga and the Midoriyas were in the waiting room a police officer entered and approached Ryuga. "Are you Ryuga?" Ryuga nodded. "Your going to have to come with us."

"Please state your name, first and last, and your age." "Ryuga, no last name, 15." "Ok. Let's begin. Where were you at 8:27 on April 7th?" Ryuga looked at the officer with a tired face. "I was at the orphanage in question." The officer is a little shocked that he would admit that. Based on what he heard about Ryuga he was a delinquent that would constantly lie. "Ok. And what was the relationship between you and the victim?" "We lived in the same orphanage. He tried to attack me the first day but I broke his arm." The officer could tell that Ryuga was telling the truth but still he knew that there was a better way to determine his innocence. Walking out of the interrogation room, the interrogator talks with another officer before coming back from in. "Ok I requested that officer Naomasa Tsukauchi be brought in. He has a lie detector quirk and can help confirm your story. He should be here in about ten minutes. Until then I'm going to keep asking you questions. Is that ok?" Ryuga says "That's fine." The officer continued "Ok. Did you use your quirk to strike the victim in question?" "Yes." "Please explain why." "He was attacking Muku." "So it was in the defense of another person?" "Yes." "Could we interview Muku?" "He's in the hospital." "Do know if he's conscious?" "He wasn't when I brought him in but that was nearly an hour ago." A man in a tan trench coat and a hat walked in. "I wouldn't worry about Muku. I talked to the Midoriyas and they were able contact U.A. U.A. where able to send Recovery Girl. He should be good to go by the morning." The man came over and sat down. "I'm Detective Naomasa. My quirk is lie detector. So Mr. Ryuga did you see any signs of abuse at the orphanage." Ryuga looked like the fight had been returned to him. He was out for blood. "Yes. The administrators allowed this to happen." Naomasa began speaking calmly "Ok. Thank you for your time Mr. Ryuga you are free to go."

Police placed Ryuga and Muku in the care of Inko Midoriya while they conducted an investigation. Since Izuku had been quirkless most of his life, Inko knew how to comfort Muku. Ryuga on the other hand was very distant. He only really interacted with Muku. But it hadn't even been a full day. He would probably warm up to them soon. The next day came and Izuku was sleeping in his room. He was having a dream about being the number one hero but then his blanket was ripped off. "Wake up." Came the harsh voice of Ryuga.l "It's time for breakfast." Izuku looked at the clock. "It's three in the morning!" "Yes. This is part of your training." Izuku walked into the kitchen to see that Muku was already sitting at the table, looking way to awake for 4 year that woke up at three in the morning. Ryuga took two bowls and a box of cereal, something he became addicted to at the orphanage, and poured some cereal for Muku and himself. When Izuku asked if he got a bowl, Ryuga said "Make it yourself." After eating, Ryuga and Midoriya left to go to school. They got there two hours later. Bakugo had been pissed when he got to school. Not only was Ryuga here but Midoriya was to. A few hours passed and the rest of the class arrived. Uraraka approached Midoriya who had fallen asleep and woke him up. "Hey Deku I didn't see you on the train to day." Midoriya yawns before responding with "I walked." Uraraka looks suprise. "Seriously again. Do you live close?" Izuku replies tiredly "No. I live thirteen miles away." Aizawa enters the room and starts class.

Ryuga is very bored. The morning classes are all regular classes. Ryuga was currently stuck in English class. He was already fluent in the language because of his trips to Europe and the America. Present Mic kept calling on him because he wasn't paying attention, but he still answered correctly. At lunch Ryuga sat down first intending to sit alone but Midoriya joined him and Iida and Uraraka joined Midoriya. At least the food was good. Finally the first half of the day was over. It was time for the hero training.

Ryuga was starting wonder who was teaching this class.Where are they? Class started five minutes a go. "I am here. Running through door like a normal person." All Might ran through the door. He wasn't wearing anything Ryuga recognized. Granted his knowledge of the man extended solely how strong he was. The rest of the class were cheering All Might on, saying something about silver. All Might started talking. "Welcome to the most important class at U.A. high. Think of it as hero 101. Here you will learn the basics of being a pro and to learn what means to fight on the side of good." 'Dear god could this be any more corny,' Ryuga thought. "Today's lesson will pull no punches." All Might then held up a card that said battle on it. Ryuga smirked. This would be the first time that Ryuga his power on a person. And Ryuga would show them just how far they had to go. "But one of the keys to being a hero is looking good. These were designed based on your quirk registration forms and the designs you sent in before school started. Get dressed up then get yourselves to training ground beta."

When Ryuga heard about the costume submission, he saw as a way to get his jacket back for free. As he looked around at all the colorful and strange costumes he knew he made the right choice. His costume is was his normal wardrobe, his dragon gauntlet and a modified dragon crown that had a built in communication system. The rest of the students looked stupid but Midoriya looked the worst. It was so obvious that he was trying to look like All Might that it was almost funny. Bakugo tried to make fun of Midoriya but Ryuga was in between them and he wasn't about to gamble his life just to insult Midoriya. While everyone was entering the training site All Might began talking "They say that clothes make the pros and behold you are the proof. Take this to heart. You are all now heros in training." Ryuga stood and waited as Midoriya ran through the hall. All Might then continued "Now that you're ready it's time for combat training." "Sir," Iida started "this is the fake city from our entrance exam. Are we conducting urban battles?" "Not quite." All Might said, "We'll be moving two steps ahead. Most of the villain fights you see in the media happen outside. But statistically speaking the run-ins with the most dastardly evil doers happen indoors. Think about, backroom deals, home invasions, secret underground lairs. Truly intelligent villains stay hidden in the shadows. For this training exercise you split into teams of heros and villains." All Might was then bombarded with questions that he was unable to answer. He then pulled out a script. "Right, the situation is this. The villains have hidden a nuclear missile somewhere in their hideout. The heroes win if they capture the villains or recover the weapon. Likewise the villains win if they capture the heroes or protect their payload. Teams will be decided using lots." Iida called out with a question. "Isn't there a better way to decide teams?" Midoriya responded with "Think about it, Iida. Pros often have to team up with whoever is around." Iida acknowledged Midoriya's comment, saying that life is a series of random events.

All Might start choosing teams. Midoriya got teamed up with Uraraka in team A while Ryuga was teamed up with Bakugo as part of team D. " I declare the first ones to fight will be these guys." All Might pulled out two balls, one from the Hero box and one from the villain box. "Team A will be the heroes, team D will be the villains. Everyone else, head to the monitoring room." While everyone else was walking to the monitoring room the team A and D headed to the fake building. Ryuga saw Bakugo glaring at Midoriya and was a little shocked when Midoriya shot back with a determined look. Before Bakugo and Ryuga entered building All Might decided to give them so advice "Young Bakugo, Young Ryuga the key to this exercise is to embody villainy." Ryuga nodded while Bakugo continued to glare at Midoriya. Up in the bomb room Bakugo asked "Hey. Do you really think Deku has a quirk?" Ryuga looked at Bakugo before saying "I've never felt so much power. But it is wild and untamed. He likely never used it until recently." Bakugo clearly only focused on the fact that Midoriya had more power than him. He probably didn't even hear the rest of Ryuga's statement. Bakugo walked out of the bomb room.

Uraraka was being very calm for someone about to go up against the strongest in the class. "I don't think iI can memorize the entire floor plan. It's really cool we're on the same team. Ah you're sweating through your costume." Midoriya was in fact sweating through his costume. He was very nervous about going up against Bakugo. "It's just that we're going up against Kachan. Not to mention Ryuga." Uraraka looked at Midoriya with concern. "Oh Bakugo. He's the one that's always making fun of you." Midoriya nodded. "Yeah. And he's amazing. His drive, confidence and his quirk are all so much better than mine. And then there's Ryuga. Not only did he get first place in quirk assessment he walked thirteen miles in an hour and a half. But even with all that against us I won't lose." The intercoms blared to life and All Might's voice spoke "Hero team you may enter the building."

When the hero team entered the building they began working their way through the building. As they went down a hallway Midoriya got a bad feeling near the end. His instincts were correct as Midoriya pushed Uraraka to the ground while diving out of the way of an explosion. Uraraka became concerned when she saw half of Midoriya's mask missing. Bakugo revealed himself and started talking. "What's wrong Deku, too afraid to stand up and fight?" Midoriya only said "I knew you would come after me. I figured you would try to catch me by surprise." Bakugo ignored him and tried to freak Midoriya out by saying, "I won't hurt you so bad that they have to stop the match. Just close." However Bakugo wasn't expecting Midoriya to get in close. Midoriya caught Bakugo's arm, turned and pulled, flipping Bakugo over his shoulder and throwing him to the ground. "You always use a big right hook to start a fight. I know because I've been watching you. I studied every great hero I saw, even you. It was all in that notebook you burned. You can Deku but I'm not the powerless little kid any more. From now on Deku is the name of a hero!" Bakugo look at Midoriya with unrestrained hate. Suddenly Midoriya yelled "Uraraka go for the bomb, I'll deal with Kachan." Bakugo stared at Midoriya. "Look at you. You're shaking in your boots, you're so scared. And yet you still a want to fight me. That's why I hate you!"

Uraraka had made it to the bomb room and found Ryuga. He was sitting in the middle of the room with his eyes closed. The room had a pillar blocking the view of the entrance so Uraraka thought she could sneak by. She slowly crept towards the bomb following the wall. Suddenly there was a gust of wind and there was a hole in the portion of the wall in front of her. She turned her head to Ryuga and she saw him standing, facing her, and with his fist extended. Pulling his fist back he said two words. "Hello Uraraka."
